I think a really fun idea to explore with Tim would be the idea of him having Hyperthymesia.

Hyperthymesia is an ability that allows people to recall almost every event of their life in great detail. It's extremely rare and honestly doesn't have that much research done on it, but recent studies have suggested that people with this ability are limited to autobiographical memories, people with HSAM sometime tend to show symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and may demonstrate obsessive tendencies.

I think it would be an interesting way to explain why Tim was able to recall his first meeting with Dick Grayson and connect the dots to seeing Robin. Tim does display a lot of obsessive behaviours, and while he doesn't really physically display compulsion (like someone with OCD would typically display) there certainly is a strong case to be made for him potentially having it.

But also, can you imagine how fucking horrible it would be for Tim to remember each and every traumatic thing that ever happens to him as a hero and those memories just never fading. Yes, it would make him a better detective and allow him to be arguably smarter than your average joe, but at what cost?

magneto is 100% not a great dad and even HE knows it and he KNOWS he's put his war before his kids but at the end of the day he does love and care for them and has wanda's state deteriorates he both tries to help her bc she just fucking DESERVES it and also falls the helplessness of someone who just cannot find a solution but so desperately wants one. it's shitty that he has her manipulate things into a mutant utopia but idk man it was kind of a dogshit situation already. I mean people are literally planning to euthanize her and given how things are going at that particular moment there's almost an argument for it. what a horrific position for him to be in as a father and a father who's trying to do at least a little for his kids to make up for YEARS of being the WORST. he WANTS wanda to have a life, even if he's not allowed in it.

MY MAN EGG CHARLIE THO-- he has a similar kid. mentally unstable reality warper. has literally reshaped related twice with his unending bullshit. david is back and FULLY in his "i rule me" era. which is when he's the most together and lucid. He's as on top of his mental issues as possible and RIGHT out the gate xavier has decided he's too dangerous to live. he refuses to return david's consciousness to his body. when david does it himself charles suspects HIS OWN SON of being the psychic poison corrupting kraoka and when david refuses to tell him what he's plans are and simply asks his father to trust him because he's his son charles violates his autonomy and tries to hack his mind. (i know xavier's getting onslaughty but also.... lbr.... it's not off brand for him to pull something like that)

like-- i'm not a charles xavier hater but i'm a charles xavier hater you know? i love david so much and charles is such a deadbeat dad. i also think this is just-- it's very telling of the differences between mags and xavier. magneto will put his mission above all 9/10 but when dealing with a situation like these it's VERY clear that it's killing him and WANTS to resolve it in the less harmful way. meanwhile charles would prefer his son back in a coma before he's shown even a SECOND of supposed instability than allow him a life because of "what he might do to the mission". like no one here is getting the dad of the year award but jfc charles is sooooooo good at rationalizing and stomaching doing horrific shit to his own kid(s) just bc they're not controllable or palatable.

Harry Osborn is no stranger to waking up in strangely familiar places, whether that's the bed of the random person he went home with the night before, or, more recently, his bed -- in another universe. Somehow, he can always tell he's not in his home universe just by the way the sheets feel. Sometimes, they're a nice silk, othertimes an annoying microfiber cotton.

And, unfortunately, today is one of those days where he wakes up in a bed that something in him tells him is his, but not. He just hope this universe's Harry is, for lack of better words, living.

The ones where he's not are always harder to be in. He's a walking corpse in his own universe thanks to the botched Spider-Serum he'd attempted to make, but sometimes it's worse when that's literal.

He also hopes that he's not, well, currently dating someone. That'll make things awfully awkward.

what gets me about qifrey is from the beginning I was so charmed by how adoring and nurturing he is of the girls, and his emerging shady behavior was worrying but I still clung to that because EVERY time there was a crisis, he was right there to throw himself in front of his girls and protect them no matter what

so in volume 7 we get both Qifrey’s old mentor and his best friend seeing his shady behavior and doubting him and whether he really cares about his students. I doubted too!! but how does the story resolve these questions??

firmly on the side of Qifrey loves them more than anything and will do whatever he can to protect them! Beldaruit remarks to Olruggio in the end that he was wrong to doubt his dedication to them, and instead should’ve been concerned over his self-destructive tendencies. Olruggio has a quest with Hiehart and Jujy who make him realize when a friend (COUGH qifrey) has two important goals they can’t choose between, instead of having to choose one they should get help to handle both of them! and directly after that he goes to Qifrey and tells him point blank I want to help you, let me help you.

One of Qifrey’s most defining traits to me is that he is a good teacher above all and he protects kids (see: his protectiveness of tartah next volume insisting on walking him home and that worrying over tartah is ‘a part of the package’ with him), and I love him so dearly for that <3

I have never written wingfic! But if I did: 

Julie is a guardian angel. Her latest assignment is a milestone, her first that will require her physical presence on earth—but she doesn’t feel much like celebrating when she meets Reggie. She “accidentally” bumps into him, of course—angels sense auras through touch—and despite his kind, crooked smile and bright eyes, his aura is—a troubling mixture of many colors. 

It leaves the whole thing muddy. It leaves Julie in distress. 

“That’s empathy,” her mother tells her, whispering on the wind, “use it well.”

His aura also sings in a way that haunts her. Most people’s auras don’t sing. It’s beautiful, and heartbreaking, and she technically doesn’t even have a heart to break. She shouldn’t, anyway. 

But Julie isn’t used to this—the gradual shift of becoming more human. She knows she’s on a time limit. She’ll become too human if she stays for too long. But her idea for how to help Reggie might require more time—and a little cooperation from a few other humans and angels. 

You see—there are a few other lonely, troubled boys in LA whose auras sing, and maybe she’s not supposed to know about them (but they shouldn’t have given her and Flynn and Willie their assignments so close together and in such proximity, then—she can’t help but wonder if her mother might’ve pulled a few strings, if she’s rooting for her to do something unorthodox). 

Something tells Julie that they’d be better off together. Only to find that—she’s better with them, too. As she starts becoming more human, certain things (like molting wings) are hard to hide.

When I started knitting my Evenstar (Shawl 14) in June of last year, I intended to submit it to my State Fair this year. Which despite multiple multi month spans of not working on it, I'm still on track for? The submission deadline is June 21 and I only have 7 repeats left to knit on the border of my Evenstar, I could theoretically finish today (I won't because that would hurt the hell out of my hands, but I Could).

I'm limited to three submissions per category, so alongside my Evenstar I intend to submit Doily 13 (The linked post goes into changes I could make to Doily 13 to make it better but I honestly do not care enough to knit a second one for this fair lol). But I don't have a good third lace project that I've finished within the last year.

All this to say, I'm incredibly tempted to finish my Evenstar and immediately break into my folder full of Mystery Doilies (all just charts with zero reference photo/idea what they look like). Despite the fact that I'm about 20 rows away from finishing Doily 14. And I don't have to submit 3 projects.

One of the struggles I have with Vhae is that I vm get more genderfluid vibes from him much like you do from Corellon; happily one or the other. But also?? I think Vhae almost exclusively lives in male alignment for the benefit of the people who need him most. So you will almost NEVER see him portrayed as female, bc v little else would be so immediately alienating to those he's trying to help.
