Starting off with my current "workhorse" pens - I have like *checks notes* 36 fountain pens and a bit too many inked up atm, but these are just the ones I'm currently reaching for or have inked up more often than not:

TWSBI Go (F): Kinda ugly! But also kinda cute! It's cheap and works great (I friggin love TWSBI pens tbh) and it has a little hole on the cap where you can attach a lanyard or charms, like I did! Makes it cuter imo and it's kind of my emotional support pen these days.

Opus88 Pocket (EF): This 2022 edition has a little Moon tarot design on the cap so it's pretty much the pen I use exclusively for my witchy/tarot practice journals! A lil bummed the cap doesn't post, especially since its a shorter pocket-sized pen, but not a deal breaker and I still love it.

Pilot Custom 823 (F): My grail pen that I've literally coveted for years and just recently acquired at the DC Pen Show this weekend! It's only been a day but I think it could potentially become my favorite pen. Ever.

Pilot Prera (CM): This is my third Prera lol. I just think they're great and really underrated pens! Also a recent acquisition from the DC Pen Show and this cursive M nib is suuuuper fun to write with.

Pilot Vanishing Point (EF): My favorite pen for planning! Super fine-tipped for writing task lists and schedules and love that it's so convenient/quick-draw with the click mechanism.

Journals/Planners/Notebooks under cut–

Sterling Ink B6 Common Planner: For a good chunk of this year, I was in this planner because I honestly love the size and all the layouts. Super practical and flexible as a system. 10/10 would go back. I've used it to plan, as a reading journal, as a tarot log...

But I get the itch to move around so it's been sitting a little unused since like June, oop.

Leuchtturm A6: I started craving something tiny and minimal so I've been bullet journaling in this pocket notebook for the last month or two and I'm really enjoying it!

Standard-sized Tomoe River Paper notebook: This is pretty consistent in that I don't change up the system itself, but I'm in and out of it for memory keeping/scrapbook journaling! It's almost always a Tomoe River paper notebook of SOME kind that I usually buy in A5 size to go to FedEx and get it cut down to standard. Though I'm thinking of getting a blank Midori MD A5 to have cut down next time - I've been liking the freedom of blank pages for journaling instead of anything lined or gridded.

I really need to catch up with it tbh, but I love sitting in an explosion of printed photos, stickers, and washi and going ham with the pages.

Midori MD Cotton B6 Slim: I also have this sketchbook that sorta turned into a visual sketch diary of sorts. I fell off a while ago but want to get back into it because it's super fun to work in and to look back on!

Wide-sized Cosmo Air Light notebook & A5 Filofax Malden: These are my tarot/witchy journals. Grimoires I guess? One is for journaling and all my messier notes while the other is more for reference and ease of organization.

A5 Leuchtturm: I didn't know if I should include this guy, but I've been writing it in a lot recently so I guess I will lol. This is like truuuly a miscellaneous™ notebook.

I got this A5 notebook back in 2017 to use as my very first bullet journal, then found out that this size is personally waaaay too big for me to use as a bullet journal so I hopped off of it pretty quick. It now sits on my desk because since it's mostly blank I'll just pick it up to use it to write literally A N Y T H I N G.

Most recently, I wrote like 5 pages in one night on notes for a fanfiction piece I was working on (I'm not a writer, this fic is never gonna see the light of day by anyone but me lololol. Hyperfixation is so wild; I've put 80k+ words within just 10 days into it so far and it's been hella therapeutic.)

It's funny because I actually have a NEW notebook arriving tomorrow that I'm going to try out as a bujo/commonplace/omni journal of sorts?? I might write an update post after I've set that up and see how I like it <3

Jake laughed a little bit. Of course he'd get it himself, loving nothing more than teasing Natasha, but lately he figured that she could really use the humor.

In she came, her feet completely bare, her black wrap-top revealing the curve of her bump to its fullest extent and the holes in the knees of her jeans having become a little bit bigger than usual.

"Minx have I ever told you that you look gorgeous as ever?" Jake chuckled naughtily.

"Thanks for the complement Bagman," Natasha groaned, seating herself on the chair ottoman and letting out the breath she had been holding in.

"You ok?"

"Feet are swollen again," she answered. "I swear little man isn't even here yet and he's already causing mischief."

"Stop," Jake joked.

"I mean it Jake," she told him. "I've already had to change clothes because he decided to sit his little butt right on top of my bladder."

Jake laughed a little, never once fearing a smack to the side of the head from Natasha.

"You need more water for the brushes?" she asked him.

"Don't even think about getting up," Jake warned her. "I've got this......and I've got you."

He sweetly kissed Natasha, right on the lips before he went to the sink in the garage to rinse out the water container and get new water. God it had been a day, first the early morning run with the dogs and no sooner had he gotten back than Jake had realized he needed to finish painting the nursery. Since seven that morning, Jake hadn't stopped, listening to one Spotify playlist after another while he worked.

"Alright, lets see if we can get this shit done before next week," Jake told her. "Last thing we need is you having Jack in the middle of the night and not having a nursery for him to sleep in."

Natasha laughed and rolled her eyes a little. Jake helped her up and handed her the brush kit along with the acrylic paints, hitting play on the bluetooth speaker so that the music could fill the room while they worked.

The two of them spent the entire day painting all the little details of the wall mural, bickering a little about whether or not it was a good idea to recreate the Thomas Kinkade painting for Pirates of the Caribbean on the wall. But even with all the painstaking details, the end result was worth it.

"Think he's gonna like it Minx?" Jake asked, wrapping his arms around her waist and letting his hands rest on her bump.

Natasha smiled a little, feeling the little boy kicking his tiny feet, still all curled up in her belly. "Trust me," she said. "He's gonna love it."

iKon Take Off in LA Experience

I went to see iKon and I got back like 2 hours ago. Out of all the concerts I've been to, I think iKonics were the most lit. I had a lot of fun. DK came into the crowd on my side and I got to hi-five him! His hands are so soft, it's like there isn't any fingerprints or lines LOL. Bobby was crying cause he was happy to be there. It was honestly hard to hear on my section of the venue so I didn't get everything that was being said during the talks. Even the lyrics were a bit hard to hear. Regardless, it was still fun! During the "Hi Bye" section, all the boys were so handsome. Bobby told me to "Have a great night" and I said "You too" the rest of the guys, I just said "Bye" and waved to. Chanwoo was last in line and he told me "Bye".

So I honestly was feeling a bit somber/melancholy today. I was happy but a part of me was still a bit sad. I feel like this is probably gonna be my last kpop concert. Personally, I'm moving on to a different portion of my life and this year it's become VERY clear. I don't really keep up with any of the newer groups. iKon was probably the last group I stanned (actually, I think it might have been WINNER if we wanna get really technical LOL). All of my other 2nd/3rd gen groups either disbanded or lost members. Most of my groups, it is very unlikely they will ever come to the US again but even if they are still around, many of them will probably be disbanding in the coming years. So I was just kinda sad knowing it's kind of an end of a chapter for me. I've grown and now I am evolving into a different version of me. That said, if this was my last kpop concert then I'm 100% at peace with that after seeing iKon. I'm very happy and proud to say that iKon was my last if that ends up being the case!

At different points in my life, I've found myself being scared and thinking "What's gonna happen when I don't like K-music anymore?" I was very reluctant to lose it because its been such a happy and exciting part of my life. Because of kpop (and KHH too) I was able to experience a new culture, learn all of these new musicians, start learning a language, go and study in a foreign country, go to great concerts, and meet SOOO many cool fans over the years. So I've been very scared of "growing out of" K-music. I felt like I'd lose something helping to connect me with the world.

However, I'm very at peace. Like I said, if this is the end with kpop/kpop concerts than so be it. iKon was the best way to end it! I'll still be going to KHH concerts and things anyway. I also, fear losing khh (especially since I have this blog and youtube and I'm just generally more integrated into the KHH scene than kpop) but that's something I'll deal with at 36, instead of at 26 like with kpop LOL

I got to check three things off my Dragon Con to-do list today -- and add one more: a try-on and makeup test-run for punk!Rhaenyra. But hey, three steps forward and one step back isn't so bad, lol.

I am really happy with how the screen-accurate red dress is coming together and I cannot wait to wear it. There's a House of the Dragon/World of Ice and Fire photo meetup on Friday afternoon and it's my only Must Not Miss event for Friday. It'll be fun to get pictures with other people in costume, and commiserate over the complicated nature of HotD/GoT costuming.

Buuut, as much as I'm looking forward to finishing this dress and wearing it around con, every time I put it on I realize that there is definitely going to come a point in the evening when I want to get out of my super fancy silk gown and into something more casual for the evening parties. And thus the idea of punk!Rhaenyra was born.

So sometime Friday evening I'll go back to my hotel room and take off the red dress, re-adjust my Rhaenyra wig, put on a bunch more makeup, and switch to this look with the Targaryen tank top and red-and-black plaid skirt. I'll be pairing it with my big Doc Martens (which will have red laces already in by then) and the Valyrian steel necklace, and several accessories from my Harley Quinn outfit. My hope is that it'll read as Targaryen punk while being comfortable and easy to dance and drink and lounge in.

That puts my planned costumes for the weekend up to six total. Now that photo meetups and evening parties have been announced, my schedule is looking pretty locked in:

As far as parties, I'm planning on hitting up the 80s prom (obviously) on Thursday night and the Doctor Who ball on Sunday night. Photoshoots I'm planning to be at include the House of the Dragon gathering on Friday afternoon, and the Harley Quinn gathering on Saturday afternoon. I've heard there might be a Taylor Swift meetup too, and if that happens to be on Saturday I'll try to swing by there with my 'we are never getting back together. like ever.' tshirt.

I've got maybe half an hour left today to work on the hem a bit, but after that I'll be down to 36 days to finish everything up for Dragon Con. If I can keep having days like this where I knock a bunch of stuff off my list, my to-do list should be in good shape a month from now. But I am so excited to wear all of these costumes that it's keeping me extra motivated.

Hokay. Back to pinning that hem facing.

Ugh my last personal post was mega ultra long and I don't want to add to it so here's a meds/ADHD update btw so

⚠️ CONTENT WARNING ⚠️: health talk, mental health talk, meds talk, adhd

Per my docs orders, I started my stimulant medication, at 10mg slow release per day. There was an instant and noticeable improvement in my mental functionality, IMHO. The overlapping and uncontrollable constant random thoughts simply... stopped. It was a bit creepy and lonely at first tbh. But because of the soft, controllable nature of my thought space now, it's obviously easier to focus on what I'm doing, what's going on around me, and taking things one step at a time. I've been noticing tiny, tiny details about everything around me, too; it's like my brain had bad vision, but didn't realize it until it got fitted for it's first pair of glasses lol, and now suddenly each tree it sees is not simply a blob of green, but thousands of beautiful, individual leaves. But somehow the most incredible benefit of that the executive dysfunction has been absolutely obliterated. It's almost too much for me to accept and understand. Before, it's like most of my tasks and daily to dos were trapped behind an impenetrable glass wall; I could clearly see everything I needed to accomplish, and I knew how to do it, and I desperately WANTED to do it, but the wall could not be passed. Now, the wall is suddenly gone. No barriers. I just think of something I need or want to do, anything, significant or simple, and simply DO it. No stress, no anxiety, so sense of arrest and inability. It's indescribably incredible. It may seem so simple to someone who hasn't had to experience executive dysfunction, but it is life altering for me, simply night and day. I can live efficiently and productively, in a way I never have in all my 36 years of life before. It's simultaneously exciting, empowering, depressing, and frustrating lol. I'm certainly mourning the lost possibilities of my past self, but I am also optimistically embracing my new future opportunities to be my best self.

As per my doctor's advice, after a few days on 10mg, I bumped up to 20mg to see if it would help or if it wasn't needed. It wasn't needed lol. At that point, I was feeling cracked out; way too energetic, a little manic, unable to relax. My mind was nearly racing. So I've stepped back down, and I think 10mg is where I am for now. I'm sure it'll take more time to really feel out where my needs are, but some of those needs can't be supported by medication alone, and will need healthy habits installed and support from a therapist. That's my next step anyway, consistent counseling. I have to learn to develop all those independent, self regulating behaviors I was unable to cultivate in the past.

But yeah, overall, a very good experience 🙏. I feel optimistic.

AGHHHHH IM SO SORRY FOR LACK OF POSTS!!! I've been enjoying the company of my little boy and my family!! Tomorrow I have some charity work and then I'm picking up my little boy so we can go shopping and I can spoil him :) you might be saying "But Ray, you did that on wednesday??" And you would be correct!! But it's black Friday deals for the next few days so we are gonna get all of the little gear we can :D I just came back from blackfriday shopping, its 8:36 pm!!! I got a heartstopper calendar, some posters, a my chemical romance shirt, a deftones shirt, two pairs of cargo pants, a new lunchbox, converse with some pretty flowers embroidered on them, fabrics for a dress I'm sewing, sewing patterns, and a bracelet that's profits go straight to the Trevor project! (Can you tell I'm queer? Lol), the grand total was about $250 :) I hope everyone has been taking care of themselves!!

2022 book wrap up

I read a total 36 books and graphic novels this year! I was aiming to read 22 books in 2022 and overshot that goal. Most of the graphic novels were re-reads of Saga catching up for the new issues this year (i am completely caught up as of yesterday). And yes Harrow the ninth is on here twice, i read it twice this year. Also nothing but love for Martha Wells's Murder bot diaries those six books slay.

I'll post some detailed thoughts about my 5 star reads under the cut below.

My 5 Star Reads

Last night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo

Listed under books that made me lose my mind. I read this in January 2022 and its discussions of discovering and belonging to queer community and acceptance of butchness had me legit sobbing at times. And all that is being paralleled with 1950's Red-Scare paranoia ! Malinda Lo was insane for this and I recommenced it to everyone interested in historical queer fiction because it has been rattling around my head for literally a year.

The Starless Sea By Erin Morgenstern

I Love Erin Morgenstern, her novel the Night Circus is one of my all-time favourite love stories ever. Starless sea is a banger too. It comes out swinging with her beautiful prose fantastic protagonists and a novel about the nature of stories and storytellers? Insane. Her wold building and interweaving of timelines is so incredible. I also listened to this as an audio book and the reader was so good at the different characters voices and delivery of the stories it really added a lot of depth to an already rich story.

The Priory of the Orange Tree By Samantha Shannon

Talk about a win for the High fantasy gays, this ones got it all. Dragons, romance, magic, RICH world building. It's what i wish game of thrones was-> a entire cast of characters and interconnected storylines across continents that 1) made sense to its own story and 2) no homophobia lol. I literally couldn't put this brick of a 850+ page novel down and read it in exactly 10 days according to storygrpah.

The Unbroken by C.L. Clark

The review on the cover says something like" this book wil grab you by the collar, break your heart over its knee, then mend it" and Yeah.jpeg. It does that. I love Touraine and Luca, their dynamic is incredible. Adele voice "Its about the devotion babes, devotion".I found this book through a Tordotcom article about The Butch Martyr in SFF, where it talked about 2 of my other favourite queer fantasy series (Gideon the Ninth and The Traitor Baru Cormorant) and i figured anything that is mentioned in the same breath as those two must be a banger, and BOy howdy is it. And ill tell you if i had nickle for every book I've read that features heavy themes of colonialism, of dealing with the grief of a love lost, and loving a culture that will never see you as one of its own, id have about 15cents. Which isn't a lot but it was the hot new trend for books i read in 2022 (2021 was lobotomy).

She Who Became the Sun by Shelly Parker-Chan

Another one i could not put down. I listened to this one as an audio book as well and i was plugged the fuck in. Absolute banger of historical fiction and an incredible GNC protagonist. I feel like ive seen this book mentioned a lot along side Xiran Jay Zhao's Iron Widow (which i also read and liked a lot this year) because these authors have taken real people from Chinese history are playing around with them like dolls. But the way this book talked about fate and how the life you live is an active choice really hit. And talk about a book that is gender, JESUS. You know how sometimes you read something and you can just tell it was written by someone who GETS it, Shelly Parker-Chan gets gender in a way that i haven't seen in a long time.

Nona the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir

Can't talk about books that are so gender without talking about Nona. Yall know my love for the locked tomb series and this torch is still being carried. I've been thinking about the "It’s finished, it’s done. You can’t take loved away." line for uhhhhhh 5 months straight. I can not say enough good things about this series, I could talk about it for literally years (and i have).

4) How do you choose which fics to write?

Before it used to be I'd write whatever ideas I got down whenever I got them, now that there's been a bigger bank of ideas and requests, I try to balance things out with Red/Kitty focused and not so Red and Kitty focused or T9S fic and pure T7S fic.

11) Do you write scenes in order, or do you jump around?

In order, although I've wondered what it would be like to actually write down those future scenes I really want to get to instead of just letting them live in my head till then lol

22) Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process?  How do you come up with titles?

Last thing I do is title the fic. It's always one of the most difficult parts for me. Sometimes I'll just do a song title, maybe the one I listened to the most while writing, sometimes it's a song title that just sorta fits the fic, sometimes it's a line from the story but those are always harder to find for me.

26) What’s your least favorite part of the writing process?

Coming up with the title of a piece and a summary lol. I always leave that till the end till when I'm actually posting. I dread it so. Might be a reason why I love updating Strangers in the Night-no titles needed I stuck with the simple numbered chapters lol

36) What fic are you proudest of?

Oo good question. There's a few of my older fics that I'm really proud of but I haven't transferred them over to AO3 yet. I'm working on it!

38) What is your most self-indulgent posted story?

Aside from Strangers in the Night, cuz I know people are tried of hearing about it. I'd say Love is in the Hair this was a one of the fics I thought I had lost last year with the incident with my pendrive. It's pure Red/Kitty pillow talk kind of fluff taking place in season 8 after Kitty shows off her new hairdo. Say what you want about her hair in that season but Red's reaction to it was absolutely adorable!

Do you daydream a lot before you write, or go for it as soon as the ideas strike? I go for it straightaway. When I get an idea and can't exorcise it due to things like Operating A Motor Vehicle it literally just churns inside of me until I can. I wrote 80% of Black Shore as jot notes in a parking lot while eating a burger with one hand. My ideas are less patient than me. which ha ha truly says a lot.

Do you share your fic ideas, or do you keep them to yourself? Oh, share for sure. If I ever manage to conceive, draft, and publish a whole entire story without telling anyone about it I want a PRIZE.

How many wips do you have? What fandoms/pairings are they for? I was like "two! wait three - no, four" anyways I went and looked in my one (1) fic drafting document (clocking in at a healthy 90K lol) and counting everything I've put words down for and intend to put MORE words down for it would be, uh, haha fifteen

Do you work on multiple wips or stick to one fic at a time? I try to only focus on one but right now I have an overgrown drabble and a chapter for Oaths that I both equally want to have been done YESTERDAY so I have been bouncing between them both for a few days. I do think I could really dig doing drabbles THAT BEHAVED THEMSELVES in between longfic chapters though!

Do you write scenes in order, or do you jump around? In order, but I have no qualms putting [thing happens] and moving on because I already have to consciously try so hard to keep momentum and not constantly faff about with wording as I go. I have slipped up with Oaths a couple times now because there's just SO MUCH to write for it lol

Do you outline your fics? If yes, how detailed are your outlines? How far do you stray from them? I was labouring for a while under the delusion I was 'outlining' but I have since realized I am actually just writing fics as fast as possible in a very loose way first before I forget anything, because apparently most outlines do not have, uh enormous chunks of fully-written dialogue, play-by-play actions, and detailed descriptions of scenes and character beats? the only time I do not do this has been prompt fills but it actively makes my brain ache a little to try and remember everything inside my head while my fingers slowly write it in full lol

Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles? Titles for canon fics have all come part way through. They just Show Up, and I know it's right when it Feels Right? I like punchy short titles that are outright utilitarian OR that you read after reading the fic and go 'HEY' because it was The Theme All Along. For AUs I am clinically incapable of thinking of them as anything other than 'Descriptor AU' which is why it took me over a week after posting it and two chapters in to title my Tam Lin AU

What’s your favorite fic you’ve posted? I am a terrible parent because I was going to say 'I could make a case for any of them' but it's actually any of them except Emissary of the Night. I wish I could even say I feel guilty haha. Nothing against it at all! I'm happy with it and proud of the response it's gotten, I'm just not attached.

What fic are you proudest of? Border Country. No matter what else I write, it will always be Border Country. If I publish a real life novel and it wins awards it will actually, still, be Border Country. And it will be Border Country because that was second story I wrote. Doing something previously unthinkable once is pretty wild. But I have been known to do wild shit! Doing it a second time, consciously, right after the first one went so well that a part of you is saying very persuasive unhinged things like: stop while you're ahead, lightning only strikes once, it likely won't be as good or as well-received and you won't be able to cope with that, better to not find out, don't make people have to humour you, Gloam, that's rude, be satisfied with this alone, was the actual wildest thing I've done. I started writing a second story immediately after Saint Morpheus because the response was overwhelming and incredible, and I knew if I didn't post something again within a week or two that would be the only thing I ever posted, probably. So I wrote Border Country in five days, posted it, felt like I'd defeated a curse, and I am so proud of me for it.

What’s your favorite writing compliment you’ve gotten? Black Shore getting printed, annotated, filled with marginalia and brilliant analysis, and being written an entire formatted essay in the comments about it. I wept! I literally wept and phoned my best friend about it. Literary analysis is a love language and getting that comment forced me to briefly realize that I am for the first time ever existing on the other side of the medium of written word that I have loved my whole entire life. surreal!! incredible!!

What do you tend to get complimented on the most about your writing? unsure! but I like it the most when people Have Strong Feelings @ me, quote lots of bits and pieces, or make any comment on Themes (see above lmao)

22) What reminds each of their partner?

Scent-wise, cinnamon will always remind Kaidan of Everett. Cinnamon rolls are a staple in their relationship, from friends to lovers to spouses, something he wakes up to every morning smelling and knowing all is well because Evvy is Up and Baking, and if they happen to be apart well…Kaidan has been known to try and replicate them on his own :) Otherwise, he does have a few candles haha

For Evvy, the various sweaters/hoodies he steals from Kaidan are pretty good reminders ;) But beyond theft, spotting a new bit of tech if he's out and about will immediately bring Kaidan to mind, for the countless nights Kaidan would very excitedly talk to him about specs and upgrades and just generally being an adorable nerd in Everett's direction. Certain spots on Earth also bring Kaidan to mind because of all the stories he's told Evvy over the years, and are much nicer to think about than his own memories of home.

32 ) Who's the better storyteller?

Depends on the story! Both of them like listening to the other speak, but Everett would argue that Kaidan has the better personal stories while Everett is better at making things up for fun

52 ) Describe their weekend getaway

Somewhere Evvy might not be too easily recognized, where he can indulge in a little adventure with his partner and not have to worry about it winding up on the news. There are parts of them that miss the action, the thrill of running an op, and while neither regrets leaving the service it does feel nice to lend their skills to a good cause -- quietly, of course.

Makes relaxing in hammocks on a beach somewhere all the more rewarding afterwards hahaha

17 ) Who's more likely to pull the other in by the waist and kiss them passionately?

Shawn, 100%. Learning he loved kissing was an epiphany for him -- learning that Leigh likes how strong he is and how easily he can take him into his arms? Even better, since it means he gets That Smitten Look and Shawn loves That Smitten Look ;)

35 ) Who's more artistic?

Leigh! Shawn has nicer handwriting, but Leigh likes to sketch, and has been known to dabble with paint from time to time. Definitely something Shawn encourages he do more once the London Restoration Project is in the rearview. 

36 ) Who's more likely to fire up the stove at 2 am because the other woke up in the middle of the night hungry?

Leigh again haha, though Shawn would follow him into the kitchen like a pathetic cat. This would also happen if Leigh woke up hungry, because Shawn can't be trusted to use the stove on his own still

7 ) Would they build a pillow fort together just because?

Actually…yeah, I think so! Especially if/once Ash and James learn that Piper has never done so, only to realize they've unleashed a monster when they see how competitive she gets 

13 ) Who's the bigger tease?

Ashley, for sure. She's got a penchant for quips and can't refuse a good innuendo to save her life. Plus -- it makes her partners laugh ;)

18 ) How likely are they to have fur babies? How many and what kind?

Oooh, tough one. Once things settle down into more of a routine, I can see them maybe going for a cat or two. Piper would feel bad trying to have a dog in such a small space with little yard, but there are plenty of creative ways to enrich the home for a cat's enjoyment. As to the type, no specific breed, just adopted from a local shelter, and no more than two due to space :)

Hi. Um, yeah, I'm pregnant.

I had the miscarriage around Christmas and then a period towards the end of Jan. We weren't originally planning to try that cycle, but had a halfhearted change of heart, kind of "eh", when I realized I was about to ovulate.

This month has been so full of craziness (sickness all around, k's job interviews, me consolidating jobs), I didn't think too too much about the possibility of being pregnant. Obviously I didn't not think about it, but it wasn't top of mind. I had labs drawn around 7dpo because I wanted to check my testosterone & DHEA-S levels (really low, but double what it used to be) to see if I should continue my supplements. Other labs confirmed I'd ovulated.

I was expecting my period on a Saturday, and on Friday night I thought I saw the faintest of faint pink, or peachy orange really, when I wiped. We discussed the possibility of calling our fertility clinic on Monday to do an out-of-pocket IUI cycle.

But then Saturday came and went and I had no bleeding. Sunday came and went - still no bleeding. By Sunday I was started to get a bit nauseous and I had all my weird pregnancy symptoms: sore boobs, burping nonstop, acid reflux. I think I was hesitant to test because I just couldn't believe it would be positive, and a good positive at that. I've never had the "classic" experience of girl misses period, girl takes test, test is blazing positive, happily ever after. I'm either testing out my trigger or testing after the bloodwork results are out lol. Or testing negative, or testing really really faint for a chemical pregnancy.

K made me test. I took the cheapie strip pictured the minute we put P to bed. Lo and behold. Instant strong positive. We were SO HAPPY :) I was shaking and crying a lot - could hardly believe it. I didn't even know I could have a proper pregnancy unassisted, let alone so quickly. This was 18dpo. I sprung (as I do) into action and purchased a $28 hcg blood test for the next day (got a 20% discount coupon, too).

I think I was really, really happy for about 24-36 hours. Other than the fact that the test looked so nice and dark, I couldn't really explain it. I was surprised that anxiety hadn't shown up for a full day. I did my labwork the next day, plus the FRER, which bummed me out a little because I'd hoped it would be a bit more dramatic, but it was still a good test line.

On Tuesday I went for acupuncuture. I was a little nervous to tell my acupuncturist because she'd told me to wait 6 months to try. But she was so happy for me, and I teared up a little bit. She told me in her merry way that it was a boy (lol) based on my pulse. At this point I was pretty nauseous, could barely eat two bites of my croissant that morning. When I finished my appointment I got in the car and saw that my labwork results were in. It took forever to load and I couldn't find the result on the pdf report. And then I finally saw that it was 1,361 (at 19dpo), and I got really happy again. Called Karl ecstatically. This is so much higher than it was last go-around - 289 at 18dpo - and about the same as with Phillipa, 981 at 18dpo.

Thursday I had a telehealth appointment with my midwife Lisa, who literally just did an endometrial biopsy for me 3 weeks ago. She was also so happy to see me. She gave me a script for an ultrasound and encouraged me to come in earlier for my first appointment if I wanted to.

Today is Friday. I've made my ultrasound appointment - first available one that I can plausibly go to is March 19th - which is a full week later than I was hoping. I'll be 7w6d, or almost 8w.

Today I'm 5w2d. I feel TERRIBLE. I'm surprised by the exhaustion. I cannot stay awake. I can barely get through work, or driving, or anything really. I am nauseous, more powerfully so than last time, but not throwing up yet. It's early days. Those are probably the main two. Oh hang on, headaches. Bleaugh. Those have been pretty bad.

Overall, my strategy is NO REDDIT and PRESUME ALL IS WELL.

I am also very thirsty / drinking a lot of water + electrolytes. So far I can drink bone broth. K bought me a giant thing of cape cod salt and vinegar chips - THE BEST.

Interestingly, I have no desire to partake in my bumpers group this time. It all feels really tired. Like, I've seen it all before, it's kind of annoying.

I am focusing on being kind of SELFISH and making sure i get the rest and support i need. I am also trying to skate by at work, which has been such a struggle.

OK, getting way too tired from writing this. Going to nap before I have to pick P.

pre-36 lil essay.

oh boy. finally. waiting two weeks is kill me.

but not really. i've wanted a break since, everything and it's kinda nice to not have to fret for the thrill last sunday. there was an annual fair i go every year since I was a child so I looked forward to that.

However, the week after that (this week) was bad ToT. I have no motivation to do anything even though I'm well-rested and fed physically. I had so much (reports) to do and don't want to do anything at all. The wait to Friday 5pm has never been so hard especially since they released the "Finished" announcement early on Tuesday.

Since two weeks have passed, I've read every theory without thinking too hard about it. I've learnt my lesson not to overthink King-Oh. One thing I want to point out though, it'd be a shame if Himeno isn't the co-star of her Retainers arc. The most convincing theory I've seen is the silver-hair guy is actually Himeno wearing Sebastian's real face. That would give Erica room to show off while keeping Himeno active in her story. Sebastian could stay by fake!Himeno/Kamejim side and corroborate with Himeno. The intersting part would be the flashback of how the two first met.

About Himeno's marriage contract. I'm not surprised she has one. I watched my fair share of court drama worldwide I know the first thing you graduate from being an heir is to produce an heir of your own. I know that's not within Nitiasa's jurisdiction but that's a very practical question! If not how they are going to do a Return V-cine! Haha but I hadn't expect them to really address it. For all we know, the Ikemen having a contract with Himeno is only his word. That would be further unreliable if it really was Himeno in speical makeup. I'm not too stressed about it. Toei will never make himerita canon but Takamina sure enjoys giving Rita girlfriends. The episode might just end on a typical girl's power move.

Just skimmed Rita's animage interview. phew 38 is confirmed to be Gokkan's Retainers arc. That means 37 is Kaguragi and KMH directing is simply the two might be more important. Maybe he's just filling in because YMG is on Rider now. Let's not scare ourselves.

FINE. 2 weeks? I can wait.

Ritamoru round though. Really scared. I have no loyalty to either ships I just eat whatever canon or not gives me. But I think fundamentally Himeno and Morfonia means different things to Rita. I like Himerita but I also voted for Ritamoru in the poll because I want to see Rita taking initiative. (If Rita-sama ends up one foot two boat "i pretend i do not see") I remember before 16 I was firm ritamoru lol.

What I meant is, OH MY GOD I'M SO SCARED WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO COOK UP FOR RITAMORU. BY GOD Kamihoriuchi. What did Takamina wrote in the script that made Yuzuki train like she can't feel her muscles anymore. Did they film that on Yuzuki's birthay.

I'm so scared because ep35 got me hard and I don't even ship wblue. I grew to like Yanma entirely because of how he is written and portrayed (i.e. it's more rational than falling for Rita at first sight and recgonition of the self). and bro… ep35 was so so good and that's JUST Katou directing in a very adaequate, typical way (positive).

I'm scared to even think about it. I had my ritamoru childhood rival origins way back that's been disproved by 16. They will answer Moru's question of why she is chosen unanswered in 16. I think ep38 is definitely going to be Rita trying to pass Moru the Ice Seal. (Guessing) but she ran away and Rita has to go find her, cue flashbacks.
