How Genshin Men Respond to you Crying

We all do it. And when we do, we need some TLC. Well, which boys are happy to provide it? And how do they do it? All this and more below!

Diluc, Itto, Childe, Kaeya (the DICK boys lol) x gn!reader. Fluff, comfort, only a smidge of angst?

Content warnings: Childe is his OWN WARNING. He crosses your boundaries and gets a little forceful—physical restraint. It’s well-meaning but still it can be distressing.

Yeah, Diluc is significantly emotionally repressed. But he’s never going to leave you to your own devices when you’re upset. Although he struggles with emotional intimacy, he will ask you to be vulnerable with him, ask you to tell him what is wrong, and although his immediate reaction is to go and fix it for you, he knows that’s not what you need. You need comfort, above all else. Early in your relationship, when he saw you crying, he had no idea what to do. So he brought you an apple, cut into slices and peeled to look like bunny rabbits. Adeline and the staff weren’t in today, but he used the culinary skills he had to make this for you. Hoping it would bring you a morsel of comfort. And it did. As your relationship aged, and he was exposed more and more to your most vulnerable emotions, he got more comfortable handling them. He even got comfortable enough to be vulnerable with you about his own. You learned how to support each other. When you’re upset, he knows to gather you up in his arms, make sure you feel clean, make sure you’re wearing comfortable clothes and are warm, and lets you cry it out—telling him everything about the situation and letting your tears stain his fine shirt. When he’s upset, you know he likes to feel your weight on him—resting your body on his, effectively crushing him was a grounding sensation for him. He liked it when you held his hand and sat quiet with him until he could muster up the nerve to speak on what was bothering him. He liked when you smoothed your hands over his face and peppered it with kisses. You both learned to accommodate each other’s needs, although they were much different from your own. And your relationship was all the stronger for it.

Kaeya, the smooth talker, can get you to calm down in just a few sweet sentences. If he catches your teary face as you look in the mirror, hating the way your chest falls or the swell of your stomach or your acne or your nose, he is quick to hug you from behind, smoothing his hands over your torso and kissing the back of your neck. “Darling, when I first saw you I mistook you for a statue of a god(dess)—curves and edges perfectly carved to depict the most ethereal beauty to grace the world. But it was you. And I was most lucky to even have the chance to glimpse at you.”. If someone snubbed you at work, made you feel stupid or unlikeable, he’ll open his arms for you the moment you walk through the front door with tears falling down your face. Once you are within reach, he will kiss them off. “My love” kiss “you are incredibly bright and clever” kiss “but your intelligence pales in comparison to your compassion and beautiful heart” kiss “nothing in this world could ever match the worth of something so precious” kiss “and it is a miracle that something so special can come so naturally to you.” kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss. Though Kaeya was born with a silver tongue, every word he comforts you with comes from the most honest parts of his heart, his aptitude for language just assists in conveying the message.

Childe is, and I say this with all the love in the world, an idiot. He’s probably the one that made you cry—but really he didn’t mean it! A forgotten date night or birthday is enough to do the trick. Or maybe he said something insensitive to you in a grumpy mood after a long day at work. Or maybe he was out on a mission for way longer than he promised he would be—making you sob every night that he didn’t return, convinced that he never would. Being the partner of a harbinger is not for the faint of heart. But trust him, he loves you with every part of his being. When he does come home to you crying, you’re in his arms in a heartbeat. Even if you’re angry and try to push at his chest and yell at him to get off, he holds you in an iron-locked embrace, hastily cooing reassurances at you, frantically apologizing, begging you to forgive him. If you do, he will pamper you like you’re his own personal Archon. A massage, darling? How about he takes you out on an impromptu date night at your favorite restaurant? Too tired? No problem! He’ll get it for take out! You can eat on the couch and pick the movie you two watch! Oh, you want to watch that one cheesy rom com that you’ve forced him to watch at least twenty times? Anything for you baby ❤️. If you refuse to forgive him? You keep pushing him off of you, refusing to let his lips touch your own, even try to leave the house? Sorry, dear. You aren’t getting far. Childe was never one to back down from a fight. And when the thing he loves most in the world is on the line? You’ve already lost. His iron grip only gets tighter as he bargains with you to hear him, hugging you to him like a teddy bear as he pleads with you to let him comfort you, insists that he can’t leave you alone. He’ll carry you, kicking and yelling, to your room and tackle you onto the bed—holding you until you’re too tired to struggle away from him anymore, until you agree to at least talk to him. You lay on your side—forced little spoon—each sniffle of yours like a dagger in his heart. He feels so guilty. He knows he should let you go but he just can’t get his arms to listen to his brain. This form of comfort is brutal, but in his mind it’s the only way to keep you from leaving him. He’s desperate. Your tears and the vulnerable moment you to find yourselves in triggers a reaction in him that he has never experienced before. A tear rolls down his cheek and onto your neck. He’s scared. So when you finally turn over and gently put your arms around him, it’s like a breath of air in a room of carbon monoxide. You two hold each other—your hearts beating together as you’re pressed chest-to-chest, his head buried in the crook of your neck, grounding each other and wordlessly saying I will keep you safe.

I don’t even want to talk about Itto. Seriously what the fuck. He’s an ever bigger idiot than Childe. At first, when he sees you crying, he literally thinks you’re joking. He laughs like a doofus and squishes your puffy pink cheeks. Once he realizes you’re for real, he literally pales—his heart drops to his ass. He loses his voice, stuttering and blubbering; unable to formulate words enough to even ask you what’s wrong. He hover-hands your shoulder like he’s scared he’ll break you—a cautious bull in a china shop. He fat-fingers your eye while trying to wipe your tears—making your tears significantly worse. At this point, he feels completely useless and lost on what to do. So after screwing up comforting his partner this badly, he takes his leave. You sit there, wondering if you chased him off with your tears. If your sadness was so much of a burden for him he gave up on dealing with it, gave up on dealing with you. Bitter tears roll down your face as you sit there in a puddle of sadness and brood. But Itto hasn’t given up on you. He’s outside searching for only the finest onikabuto in the land to bestow upon you. While he searches, he picks all the pretty wildflowers he sees—a makeshift bouquet for you. He even spends the only mora to his name on a couple of Sakura buns for you, he knows they’re your favorite. If he finds himself by the beach, he searches for seaglass for you; pink and blue and yellow and green little miracle pebbles, hoping and praying to any higher power he can reach that they will bring even a small smile to your face, even an ounce of joy to your heart. He spends the whole day battling his short attention span—his only mission is to find any way to cure your sadness. When he returns home many hours later, he finds you in the kitchen, hunched over a series of vegetables you’re trying and failing to chop; your dehydrated eyes and crestfallen mood getting in the way of making yourself dinner. He carefully approaches you, placing all of his little gifts on the counter in front of you—his arms so full the objects are basically spilling out of them. You look up, finding the sweet things he spent all day collecting for you—and your tears return. He immediately panics, thinking he screwed up once again. He begins blubbering about how much he loves you, “you—uh. You—my heart—it, ahhh man. You’re everything. Everything. I—I got these. I’m sorry. They’re for you. I—“. He can’t finish but you’ve already thrown your arms around his tall frame, sobbing into his chest. Your heart thunders out of your chest as happy tears leak from your eyes, “Thank you, Itto. I love you so much.”. He hesitantly places his arms around you, confused but overjoyed that you seem happy despite your crying. He melts into the embrace, kissing your neck and squeezing you tighter, finally finding his words; “I love you, Y/N. If anyone makes you cry, they’re getting a serious thrashing. Even if it’s me.” he laughs, “Nobody makes my baby cry! If I can help it, you’ll never cry again.”. You think he’ll let you go so you can make dinner, but his hands aren’t leaving you for the rest of the night. He finally got the comfort of your touch, so until you shove him off, he’s not letting go!

About language brainrot. Imagine writer creator reader who finally learns how to write in Teyvat's weird symbols and they want to publish their book. They decided to do it anonymously to avoid the "aaaaaah our creator wrote the holy scripture" sort of situation. Except it didn't work. The reader's style is too different from the rest of the world, so even if they tried to simulate the flowery speech it wasn't effective.

Another thing. Reader who decided to read some local books to practice their reading. They asked for something simple and similar to their speech. But the only books merely similar to it are 2000 and more years old. It's funny how the older text is the more you can understand it. On this note. If reader write something i feel like it would be hard to understand for Teyvat's people.

Imagine a reader who is autistic or has any other NDs imparing their communication skills. They practically trained themselves to say sertain phrases in sertain situation. But it doesn't work in Teyvat. And everything just stacks at each other. Difference in speech, being a God (so people react weirdly to you), bad communication skills, not understanding nonverbal cues and so on. There's gonna be a lot of misunderstanding. I imagine how followers would walk on the eggshells not to upset and angry their God and reader who does the same not to say something people will get wrong. Again.

Reader who regained all their memories of creating Teyvat, they're super powerful and stuff. But they still struggle with the modern language. Because all the memories are like millions years old.

Regardless of an author’s views, it is always unfortunate when they have to finish their story abruptly because of the pressure of the readers. One would think that they would appreciate it enough not to bully the author, but unfortunately, a lot of times people are very demanding and emotional.

Alright, so to answer your questions…

To be honest, I don’t think they sleep in the same bed, mostly because both of them are too damn long and take up too much space to share a bed lol They used to sleep together when they just got married, but quickly decided that it’s just too bothersome.

Moray eels aren’t super social and don’t have the “mate for life” mentality, so their family façade is kind of fake. It also makes them dangerous, because one moray eel is already trouble, but two? Who also have a family? This is one of the things that make them so dangerous. So yeah, I wouldn’t say that Papa and Mama Leech love each other romantically, but they have mutually beneficial relationship, and to them this is probably even better than love. They are also probably aren’t intimate with each other anymore… they are with other people though, when they feel like it~

So yeah, to answer your question about a cuck chair lol Sure, why not, but I feel like with these two it’d be more like one of them is obliterating some poor merman while the other watches it just for the sake of enjoying the show. And some additional intimidation/humiliation 😔

When it comes to family, both of them really wanted kids, but not due to any wholesome reasons: Papa Leech wanted to keep his business going strong even after he’s gone, and he would rather choke on a puffer fish than entrust it to anyone other than his own copies lol And Mama Leech really enjoys the drama of being a mother and a wife. She is a bit of a narcissist, and both of them are kind of sociopathic?? But they love their kids in their own ways.

The fact that Mama Leech doesn’t cook is the biggest secret in the world lol The tweels usually play along, especially Jade, but Floyd is more likely to just roll his eyes whenever she is talking to someone about cooking dinner for her sons. I would say that they have a cook, but actually I feel like the majority of things that they eat are raw…

"Hey, Luci. Need some help?" Trying to hold back a chuckle at his glare with his messy state. "No, I am perfectly fine! I can do this alone."

"Says the one who has so many broken toothbrushes in the trash-can, Dear."

Version 1;

Lucifer is sitting on your lap, opening his mouth for you. Holding tight on your shoulders so he doesn't fall. He looks down to see you carefully brushing his teeth so his fangs don't poke you.

Lucifer mind was a mess. He should've just done this by himself. But he'll be late and it's not like this is harming or anything....well at least not directly to you. His teeth are sensitive and— oh Diavolo.

He grabbed your wrist, saying that it's enough. He went off your lap and went to the bathroom to fix his hair. He eventually let you do it when it's necessary. Not like he's gonna purposely overslept or maybe lie about it for you to do it—

"Wow, I guess this is part of my daily routine hm?"

Although his words were muffled you knew he just said to shut your mouth. After you were done, he tried to get off until you picked him up but accidentally by his ass....you got one of a hell flustered Lucifer scolding you. Well, at least you found a new side of him, hooray!

Version 2;

You were sitting on his lap, Lucifer opening his mouth. He looked at you seeing you being so careful not to poke yourself with his fangs.

He looked away trying to focus on something else. Although he accidentally scooted you closer unconsciously. You teased him that for the rest of the day.

As same as version 1, he lets you do this when it's necessary and sometimes 'overslept' for you to clean his teeth and fangs.

After you were done you kissed his forehead. His breath hitched and he scooted away and left. Later of course he confronted you and perhaps scolded you. His pride could never admit he liked it.

As you peeked over him to see broken toothbrushes on the ground. Although you didn't tell him that you knew about his fangs. You saw it when he yelled at Childe for not knowing how to use chopsticks properly and using them in a cursed way. He shut his eyes, waiting for you to answer or even for you to run away.

His eyes perked up at you, surprised at your response.

Penacony TB 2.0 Impression

Story Impression

I don't know if I miss it but has anyone explain the graveness of someone dying at dreamscape ? From some side mission, I think it's just they will comeback to reality ? So why at TB they made us think like we died for real ?

I only can hopefully think hoyo will explain it at later date ! If not, then it's just Xianzhou Luofu things again...

But I quite like the course of story so far despite above and the fact it's very similar to Flamechaser premise of story. I think anyone who play HI3 should notice these. As now the premise are grouping a very range personality people together in same place -> kill them one by one -> spreading distrust to MC and yeah those same premise already happened in Flamechaser stories...

Remember seeing this flamechaser editing pict ? With current story, I guess it shouldn't be that far with changing March7 to Sunday and now hoyo just killed 2 person easily and with Misha get mentioned too much in 2.0 I can't push him away from picture~

And with just 2.0 aside Family will doing something fishy, I can't grasp the main problem at Penacony plus (literally) everyones have their own morally gray goal which make things complicated especially someone like Sparkle which doing things just to make it interesting or Acheron basically hunt injustice equally.

2.0 Important New Character

Firefly, I kinda had Yuuki SAO impression from her so I can't even sad she's gone since I already know the very same "someone terminally ill dive into dreamscape-like to extend their lifetime" premise (plus she still hiding something important even for Sparkle came to us disguise as Sampo lol) but wow hoyo really kill her in brutal and clean way...

Aventurine, his JP VA Kengo Kawanishi doing a good job voicing him as calculated tricky but bit mellow person. At most scene I'm suspicious of him since he's sounds very similar to Akira Ishida (but his "my friend" line keeping me laugh lol) but one thing I'm sure after read 2.0 about him is he will become a important character even in future version. Why ? He's having too many background mentioned scene

(1) This "Sigonian" bloodline things get mentioned at two scene, other one from Sparkle after made a comment about his unusual eyes. Seems that bloodline connected to his other form~

(2) This one too direct line came from Ratio (lol) saying about he's just a slave to IPC which he brush it lightly

(3) But weird enough when he talked about his family, Ratio suddenly apologies. It still too early to say this but maybe ten stoneheart are all extinct people got taken/buy by IPC

What's more, just what's happened at the end of stories ? Same like Firefly case with Sam, we can't conclude that Aventurine killed Robin with that scene... fyi, these scene too moreless same as Flamechaser story and in the end suspect isn't killed anyone lol

Why only those two ? So far Acheron and Black Swan only become our bodyguards (lol), Sparkle playing around us in her own interesting ways, Ratio isn't doing things too drastically to us he's too busy to wipe his wife sorry ass lol but those people seems have same purpose, keeping eyes on us in this point too is same like Flamechaser story lol

PS : I kinda had some nauseous a bit while playing at 3d maps but so far it's very fun, I need another weeks for all complete I guess. Well, I had Genshin too but the maps itself really big and too many side things to do (I already saving 15 side mission after exploring half of Penacony)

Hi it's me. Finished playing main quest in Wuthering Waves so lemme give you a few thoughts on it, and development with the game in general.

First of all I like the length of the main quests so far. Long enpugh to tell the story in proper parts that feel concluded, but short enough to not lose my attention. Overall gameplay for me for most parts of the story so far was like 2 hours I think? Very good length.

The final chapter focused more on Jiyan and the Threnodian more so than the Fractsidus, since their active involvement kinda came to a stop when Scar got arrested. They focused a lot on them in the previous chapter so that was alright with me. They'll save mlre important stuff for later, which is totally alright with me.

Something that WuWa does that I really like is giving us complete trial teams for certain parts of the story, so it felt even more immersive going thrpugh the battlefield with Rover, Jiyan, YangYang and Jianxin. Still a big fan of the combat in this game, I wonder what future characters are gonna be like gameplay wise and how they'll influence the playstyle and meta.

I like that we get scraps of Rover's identity and backstory pretty early on. They make it no secret that Rover woke up on the world before and had a previous life? And also the girl who wakes Rover up/gives them life or so in the very forst scene in game being explained pretty early on is very helpful. I wonder where they will take this story.

Also love Aalto and Encore. Kinda a sucker for quirky child with adult extroverted guy as their guardian who do shenanigens together. They were very fun.

The story boss fights don't feel too hard, which is very nice for someone like me who is only slowly getting a hang of the battle gameplay on mobile. Still have a problem coordinating my exact thumb placement at times. Me problem.

Final boss was cool. Havoc MC is very cool, too. Just MC on general. Still haven't taken her off my team, probably won't for a while. Slays with either Spectro or Havoc. Very refreshing. In hyv games I dropped MC at around level 50 and only took them again later (genshin with dendro and hsr with harmony now).

I'm quite curious to see where else they'll take the story now. The threat of the Threnodian is quelled (for now?) so the one enemy we have remaining is the Fractsidus. There's also the Black Shores ofc, who seem to know A LOT about the world and Rover'a origin. Very funny how I first thpught Chamellya was with the Fractsidus. Must have been the colour palette lol. Loved her though, but I'm curious to find out what her deal is and what she wants from us. They did tell us a few basic informations about Rovers origin and backstory, but its still very little.

There is still Jinhsi and the missing Jue. She will be playablw next patch and apparently Jue will be a new boss? Curious to see where this will go.

Thid leads me to talk a bit about current changes to the game. Because of certain improvements the devs want to implemdnt sonner rather than later they have pushed forward content by 1 week and already gave us Yinlin banner and second phase events. I understand that to a certain extend but I was really worried I wasn't gonna be able to pull Jiyan in time 😭 SO I decided to pull then and there and got an early, which was Jianxin. Wasn't gonna complain but I was kinda losing hope. Jiyan came through for me at like 40 pulls. This game has blessed me with lots of early 5stars until now. Idk if I'll get Yinlin, her gameplay is really cool tho. Gonna take some time to think. Bit since I habe decided to take WuWa more casually than hsr and genshin, where I am careful with who I pull for, I might just make a few pulls on her banner and see what happens.

I'm now at level 31 in the game and still have basically the entire map to explore still. They have announced that controller support is gonna be a thing for mobile in future patches, which means it won't be implemented in 1.1. It's okay, though. I have gotten a good understanding of most controls now and I'm starting to level my characters and look for good builds. There's just so many layers to the character leveling, and having the bosses cost 60 waveplates for the 2 drops you get feels kinda expensive. Apparently they will work on that too? Implement a system tp save excess waveplates when you have reached full storage of them like in hsr and stuff.

Overall having good experiences with the game so far! Really looking forward to future patches, maybe I might also save for Scar? Idk.

Wuwa got me down bad rn. Played through all the story, it's...okay? Acts 5 & 6 were definitely better but felt rushed as hell. My man Jiyan is the MVP though, his companion quest was REALLY good and I lucked out and got him R3 + sig in 140 pulls. I love the way the world looks and combat feels good. Aalto is also 10/10, I love Calchero's design but haven't played much with him yet, and I'm still miffed that I haven't managed to pull Taoqi yet. The bug fixes have been rolling in steadily so I'm hopeful that the experience will be a lot smoother in the near future. As long as they can continue an upwards trend in the writing I think I'll be hooked.

All that in only 140 pulls? ✋😭 I’m green with envy tbh lmao I’ve had some so-so luck in the past when it comes to gacha’s but never quite like this, it’s actually insane. I just keep pulling the same two characters — Yangyang and Danjin who are both now R4 at this point ndkdkckdd NO Aalto. NO Mortefi. NO Baizhi. NO Yuanwu and I don’t even really want him but at this point I’d be happy just to see a different face pop up 🤣 I only got Taoqi once early on and never again so even pulling her would be fine in my book, haha. Shes kinda’ thicc tho isn’t she 👀

And I’m largely in agreement with you about the story. I’ve heard whispers over on Twitter that some pretty big changes were made between the last closed beta and launch because people complained about the characters not being very nice to us at first? And that’s why the early bits feel kind of off … but tbh I’m of the opinion that it probably still would’ve felt a bit rushed regardless. Whereas Genshin kind of eased us into the complex lore and expansive world building at a reasonable enough pace, I feel like WuWa threw an awful lot at us all at once. : /

That being said, the noticeable improvement in acts 5 & 6 left me very hopeful for the future of the storyline. I see a lot of potential here and I SO hope they manage to find their groove and keep the momentum going.

I’m also very, very much looking forward to seeing Scar again … if you know what I mean.

And I played Jiyan’s SQ last night, it was definitely solid. He’s a good man. 😭 Not to mention crazy gorgeous, haha. I also love that we got a memento picture with him out of it. Idk if anyone agrees with me on this or not but right now the vibe kind of feels like they’re not shying away from the characters openly showing interest in us and that definitely makes me hopeful for where they might take this as well. I don’t remember the name of their organization but both Scar and that Camelyn(?) girl clearly had the hots for us so. 🤣 Hopefully no one complains about that because I’ll be mad as hell if they switch up on us after already taking away Scar’s onigiri pussy lol

10.  Is there a fandom you read fic from but don’t write in?

at first glance, my thought was no, bc i don't really fandom-ize every bit of media i absorb, just a few special ones (i can be normal about things!! for real (not clickbait)!!!)

that said, there are a few fandoms i've read fic for that i've never written for! going all the way back to my roots, i read so much mlp fic, n although i technically wanted to write mlp fic back in the day (n have like. two paragraphs of an ancient pitch rotting in my gdocs), i never really committed to it.

nat made me read some pokespe fics too back in the day, so i've read a couple of those too despite never really reading a ton of the manga. one pokespe author also recommended some kingdom hearts fic that i ended up reading, despite having never played kh or knowing anything about it really!

i also used to read a lot of miraculous ladybug fic (once in a blue moon i'll also get update emails for some of them c':), n although i had some ideas for mlb fic, i never wrote any of them.

i think the most recent fandoms i've read but never written for have been the adventure zone (balance), since i'd read taz fic as it crossed my dash after i listened to the podcast, and princess tutu, bc i had a mutual who got into it, so i started w/their fic after i watched the anime, then poked around the archive a bit hehe

hmmm i'm honestly kind of a "once a hater, always a hater" kind of person, so it's kind of hard for me to think of a ship that i see around, know the basic appeal of, but don't really Understand in a way that makes me more proactive or picky w/seeing them portrayed.

that said, i would love to read some kokosara meta that elaborates on how a relationship btwn them would further kokomi's character, why sara is the only character who would be able to push her in that particular direction

oooo that's tough, since i'm very fond of p much all my fics for various different reasons, even if i don't think their writing is particularly up to my standards anymore.

like, even tho jjk was technically a while ago for me now, i'm still obsessed w/the idea of a constellation au (zenith); and the diner at the end of the night is still easily one of the most well-written high-energy comedies i've ever pulled off.

it's also really hard to pick out of my genshin fics which one holds the most specialest place in my heart bc most of them hold niches in my heart!!!

typically, though, i pick disjunct bc during the writing process, it was the first time where i really felt allowed to give a character Mixed Race Struggles(tm) wholesale w/o feeling like i was just making them mixed for the sake of it. i'm also really happy with the way it ended up resonating w/people on a core level, and the experience of artist-viewer connection n just having an Art Moment(tm) that resulted!!

45. What is your all time favourite fanfic?

i used to say A Miscellaneous Tale of Night and Day, which is The 200k word pokespe fic nat made me read when we were in high school that hasn't updated since 2012 that has effectively inoculated me against "abandoned fanfiction sadness", and the plot n premise are still a ton of fun, but i've been rereading it a bit as of late, and you can feel the early 2010s casual transphobia and misogyny in it lol. i'd say that it helped shape my comedic tastes/ability to just write self-indulgently, so for that, i'd categorize it under "influential fics"

honestly my favorite fics tend to be long multichapters, but there are honestly so few that line up with my tastes and have an ending in genshin, n i didn't read enough in jjk to have any longfics to really be fondly subscribed to. thinking about it, i genuinely think my fave fics are just the ones nat n i make up together over discord until five in the morning LMAO

in terms of fics that exist(ed, at least at one point), i'd say the now-deleted snk fic tower of babel would probably qualify as one of my all-time faves, n i can say that's not just the nostalgia glasses bc i do still have a copy on my hard drive lol. the premise is that five girls, each hiding their own secrets from each other or the world, end up renting one apartment together, n they learn to trust each other enough to communicate n rely on one another. there's also a bit of romance happening in the bg, but it's not the biggest aspect of the fic, n i really liked that!!! also the way it dropped the title in the end, basically stating its main theme as "it's a lot easier to fix your problems if you communicate abt it" CHANGED MY LIFE the first time i read it lol

Advice from an ar60, DONT GO TO DRAGONSPINE JUST TURN AROUND. other than that you’ll get used to the game quickly and don’t rush, just take your time because it is very overwhelming, don’t farm artifacts cuz you’re still early game and the drops are trash at this stage, so just upgrade the character it self, also try to have a lot of different elements on your team to get more elemental reactions cuz more elemental reactions = more damage. Just have fun honestly

APART FROM THAT STUPID MISTAKE OF MINE the other pieces of advice are actually very useful, thank you :D i licherally do not have many characters available for me to use rn so i'm a solid kaeya main rn LMFAOO !!!!!!! i pair him with lumine + barbara and they have some pretty fun elemental reactions sometimes, but i will save artifact farming to later, thank you for that reminder. have heard too much about the pain T^T

genshin will be my fun game to distract myself from hsr since i think i've started late enough for me to not take it seriously LOL but the graphics are very pretty :D i love the mechanics that you can get in genshin but not hsr (the day/night option is so cool, but limited stamina is lame asf grr- ik it adds to gameplay but grr).

Tbh I really like the... what's the word. Stuffy??? (That's not quite right but it works) sort of sound Kaeya's eng voice has on the early quests and voicelines, though I think they may have tried to slightly up the animeness(?) of it in some later ones (which doesn't sound bad, either; just an observation). It's very human and feels more like a real, genuine voice than the [generic smooth playboy Femme Fatale: Guys Edition] voice some people seem to think of him with would have.

He is smooth and witty and charismatic sounding by design (both his own in-character and by actual marketing character design), and that's good, and I'm definitely not saying anyone talks like he does irl* - I just appreciate them letting him have that smidge of Some Real Guy voice too. It adds character distinction and charm. Like you can hear it some in the "Knight of Favonius" line I think?? That I do hear people talk like in my daily life.

It's interesting, actually; I'm not actually that familiar with most characters' other language voicings (this is extremely still a stupid gacha game (affectionate) and I have a life, hyperfixation be damned), or know enough about the languages to distinguish tone beyond the most obvious, but there are definitely character differences.

I do often see fans of the Kaeya's Chinese voice complaining about his Eng character being more flirty-toned and sadistic, when in it he's a bit more friend's-older-brother-coded (my own 'what I'm reminded of', though the older-brother-ness sentiment def isn't original to me) and pranksterish. And I saw someone joke at one point that Korean Kaeya is just too chill to be the Kaeya in their fic because he's too calm to be bothered by any of it.

One other example I'm familiar with is Childe: ENG shows anger really well, and is a bit more childish and hypocritical, but [I forgot which language but I think it was Chinese or Japanese?] Childe was more resigned and accepting of Sometimes Lying Happens Back To You, if still upset about it, and slightly more mature about that incident. (I looked into his because I saw someone saying they thought that made more sense with him being someone who had to tolerate the Abyss, and I got curious.) And Korean Childe sounds slightly more violent, in my opinion, at least on some of the more playful english lines.

I think all of the characteristics are interesting, of course, and I suppose they're all 'canon' in each language. In terms of fan stuff, I think it just depends on what the goal is! I just go by preference, but I have seen people specify what "language" of each character they're thinking of for stuff before, and even mix and match a few times.

*(related: while I was looking into the voice differences I happened across a clip where his VA was going on this whole thing about how much breathing the Kaeya Voice takes. It is literally so full of air - catch in universe Kaeya silently inhaling as much as he physically can every time no one's looking at him.)

i have several bones to pick with the english voice acting (and most of them have to do with with the goddamned anime-ness which i am, most of the time, not super fond of) but i actually really like kaeyas voice! particularly early game lol which is also a constant with genshin voiceovers for me.. what i really like about kaeyas eng voice is like. the cadence of his words. the rhythm of his speech. it sticks in my head and i keep repeating his voicelines to myself like a stim lol but anyway. once again i digress.

those are really cool details to know about! i had never looked into it before; im not familiar w like.. any of the other voiceovers (stupid gacha game (affectionate) and all that) (i thought about switching to a diff language a while back but i was too attached to kaeyas eng voicelines and that singlehandedly made me decide against it lmao) but i think it's pretty fun how the tone of the voice actor and the words chosen in translation can slightly change the characterization sometimes. i think the smooth talker flirtatious tone kaeya has influences a little how i imagine him, like, what sort of persona he displays to others, what he wants people to believe he is like, etc. in the end its all subtleties! and i love the idea of mix and matching these little characterizations when making fanon content because that is what fandom is all about babey

I want Loucha for sure, and then Jing Yuan though his release hasn’t been leaked yet. I have a guarantee at 70 pity (early Welt @20 pulls) with 15 tickets current saved up.

If i keep saving for the rest of the patch, I should probably have enough to guarantee another 5* (another 60 pulls) from leveling up, exploring, quests and the equivalent to genshin’s abyss. Then I pull for Loucha, skip patch 1.2, potentially pull in 1.3 and then keep an eye for future banner leaks.

God why did this game have to be released when I’m almost at finals week. At least I got a break from waiting for the 2nd half of 2.6 for Genshin so I can finally pull for Baizhu (last character banner I pulled was for Yaoyao in January, but I’ve been pulling weapons since then lol)

An update on my genshin adventures...

I finally finished the Mondstadt archon quests, but there’s a lot left to explore and a million sidequests I didn’t finish. I want to get those done before moving onto Liyue, so it might take awhile.

Also, confession time! I restarted and rerolled a few accounts because while I started with Lumine, I quickly realized that I prefer Aether’s voice especially next to Paimon’s, which is super high pitched. I just have a weird thing about high pitched female voices, I really don’t like the higher register and can’t stand going the whole game like that. I still love Lumine’s design, though. It’s so pretty.

Anyways, I had to reroll once because the first account I created with Aether got the worst 10-roll ever (weapons only lol) and it’s early enough that getting a decent character matters and I could still restart and replay up to that point without ripping my hair out.

Second time was the charm! The second pull on the beginner banner yielded a Beidou, and a 10-roll on the event banner yielded (another) Faruzan. I figured she and I were destined to be together, so this account was the keeper.

After that, I kept chipping away at the story and getting lost in the wilderness.

I made enough progress a day later (on the 26th) that I could get another 10-roll. I normally save up my gacha currency and make a bunch of rolls on banners that catch my eye, but it turns out that the Wanderer banner was actually the entire reason I started playing the game...(I’m weak for lore, remember? I’ve always seen Genshin characters around, but I watched like one story trailer with Scaramouche/Wanderer’s backstory and fell down the rabbit hole).

So, I was like, what the heck why not. I don’t know any of the other characters on upcoming banners, whatever they may be, so why not throw it all in on the one I actually want. Mind, I didn’t expect anything, except I really hoped it wasn’t an ALL WEAPONS one again lol. And kind of wondered if I’d be cursed to get Faruzan a third time (there were two other 4 stars on the same banner with equal chances as her, I think?).

Anyways. I pull. AND I GET WANDERER???

and a 4 star sword because why not.

mind you, I’m not even AR15 yet at this point and I spent zero dollars on this game. I’m still confused about the pity wish system, but it definitely wasn’t that, because this was only the second roll I did. so, it was just. regular odds for a 10-roll, whatever that is because I’m bad at probability.

I was dying, I could not believe it lol. And I was like, that’s it, I’m set. Even if I get absolute garbage out of the gacha from here on out, I’ll be happy.

I’m still saving up the primogems, but the other wishes you get that let you roll on the standard banner, I decided to just go for when I reached 10 because that banner doesn’t change.

right. venti’s great. his name, though, is hilarious in japanese. i almost die every time I hear it. “V” is not really a native sound in japanese, so it very easily gets muddled up with “W” depending on who says it. it sounds like his name is “wenti” sometimes and that is so close to “wendi/wendy” that the first time I heard it, I actually did choke a little.

I am also attempting to use context, as it has been a long day for them.” Zhongli is in his classic “majestic thinking gentleman” pose, and you’d admire it more if it weren’t for the fact that they don’t seem to be getting what you’re saying.

You hadn’t yet found someone with a higher friendship level than 2 or 3 (hey, don’t blame yourself, you really have to put effort into friendship levels to get them anywhere and you were still busy screwing around in Sumeru when you got spirited away).

So needless to say, most people were getting “the, me, I, you, etc.” rather than the actual important keywords you needed them to, hence the godly charade game now.

As you “hold” something, you throw your hands up in the air, still keeping your hands wrapped around nothing. You think if somebody told you last week that you’d be playing charades with the archons in Genshin Impact so you could actually communicate with them… well you don’t know what you would have done. Maybe just gave them a really awkward laugh.

“Oh! Are you asking for a weapon? Akitsu Mikami, my emperor, we or our nations will surely provide protection from any harm that might befall you. Hm, I suppose we should offer something anyway… I wouldn’t want to displease them…” Ei mutters to herself, having taken over her puppet once more for the occasion.

She and Buer, still retaining their authority status, had asked for the area to be cleared in order to try and get closer to communicating with the Divine First, or you.

“Ha! What idiot would try to hurt the All-Parent in their home, unless they wish to get thrown?” Venti cheekily says, as you don’t understand him, but judging by Zhongli’s clenched jaw, Ei’s sigh, and Nahida’s giggle, you can guess.

You give your own sad sigh… it’s already been 3 hours. 😭

How hard is charades for 4 archons??

Well… apparently very hard.

You put your face in your hands, and you hear the (retired) archons start to debate something, you can tell it’s getting a little passive-aggressive between Venti and Zhongli by their tone alone. 

…Okay, now it’s just aggressive.

The archons eventually give their attention back to you so you can go back to your charades lol

You tried opening your mouth and closing it, very obvious, they can’t go wrong. 

…Turns out they can. 

Somehow you find yourself with a hot tea brewed by the geo archon. 

(Venti attempted to offer you Dandelion Wine, or Osmanthus Wine even, and only god, well you now, knows where he pulled them from. Ei swatted his head, he looked so offended, and his cheeks were all puffed up, heh.)

Giving up, you just try to motion for them to stay still, your hands gesturing like trying to calm a wild animal.

They give you questioning looks, and you begin to walk off, they all seem to immediately start discussing something with each other. All of the gods look very conflicted, and after a minute of you getting further away (yes, you’re almost home free, Xiangling here you come! ) Nahida skips to catch up with you.

She gives you a beaming smile, and you can’t bring yourself to not return it. She's so much cuter in real life, even the official art didn't do her justice.

You make your way towards the restaurant, finally.

And apparently you’re happier than you thought to smell the savory scents flowing out of the kitchen because your stomach growls loudly.

You’re too hungry to even attempt to stop it, no one will care, except Nahida’s eyes go wide. She begins to sputter, and flail her hands desperately trying to charade an apology at you.

…you were just trying to tell them you were hungry. 💀

HOLY SHIT IM ALIVE!!!! HEY, HI, HOW YA DOIN😭😭

So here’s the story lol

Back in 2020-early 2021 i was OBSESSED with Haikyuu. Clearly enough to make this blog (looking back on it now, I can’t help myself from cringing, no clue how so many of you liked this so much!!!). But after a while, I just got really burnt out on the show in general. Making posts for this account just wasn’t fun anymore, and eventually I stopped. I think the main reason was because I found a new interest in Genshin (gross), i joined in 1.1 and played so much that I couldn’t even sit down and watch a new anime let alone a movie/show in general. I did end up quitting genshin, I think I stopped playing in 2.4? Idk doesn’t matter. But here I am! Like…two years later! This isn’t me saying I’m back and making new posts again because,,,I don’t think I’ll be back into Haikyuu until those movies come out lol😭 But I am watching other anime and creating content for those if you guys are interested!

(Also would like to add, if I did continue this my humor is NOT the same as it used to be. and Honestly I would probably start this whole thing over if I could, but as it stands…I’m just gonna leave it as is😭)
