burning all apps everywhere on principal, i got a new phone recently and had to uninstall about 26 apps, at which point the prompt to finish device setup wouldnt leave until i opened it up again at which point it downloaded another 3 apps i immediately uninstalled, and despite all that it didnt come with any kind of notes app, so i go hunting for one but even thats difficult because WHY do half these apps need that many permissions. what does a notes app want with my financial information and whys it sharing it with third parties 🤨

you turn off your cellphone and check yourself in the mirror for a few moments one last time. you’re wearing a basic agua green tube dress. it was not short, but not too long too. it was right in point.

you grab your purse, getting out of your house to see skeet leaning on his car, waiting for you with a smile on his face.

“hey tom cruise” you greet him jokingly, walking to the car

“hello, fan! i can give you an autograph now”

“maybe later” you say as you stop to stand in front of his car and he opens the door for you. “such a gentleman” you say sarcastically as he closes and walks to get in the driver seat.

“you look amazing, y/n” skeet says, putting on his seat belt, with his eyes not leaving off of you.

“thanks tom. you look really good too” you say, putting on your seat belt too. “nice car”

“you like it, kid?” this nickname.

“yeah. it’s minimalistic, i like it”

“no” he says, laughing at his own response.

you and skeet keep talking and singing to music until you get to the restaurant. it’s not a cheap place, but not expensive too - it’s perfect for hanging out

skeet waits for you get out of the car then he does too. he walks up to you and intertwines his arms with yours. you step in the place and you’re already listen to some pop music. you love food places with music going on, it’s so much more fun.

“have you met them before?” you ask skeet

“yes. they’re right there” he points to a table with 6 people, laughing between them.

you both walk up to the table, arms still intertwined. you let go and greet them

“hi, i’m y/n” you say, as you greet all of them individually with a handshake.

“hey how you doing man?” you hear skeet greeting one of them, just after you do too.

when you greet melissa, she starts

“i’m melissa!” she tells you, as if you’re not a big fan of hers already. “this is mason, this is jenna, this is jasmin, this is steve, this is james, this is caroline, this is madison, and this is michael.” she says, pointing to everyone as she speaks.

“sorry, can you say that again?” skeet asks melissa ironically, tilting his head.

everyone laughs.

“so… are you guys a couple?” jasmin asks you and skeet out of nowhere

“actually, we met yesterday” you answer her

“and you already giving her rides?” jasmin asks skeet, eyeing him now

jenna slaps the girl’s arm not too hard and you can hear a little “ow” leave her mouth.

“dave!” steve shouts when

“hey guys, i’m sorry i’m late” he says, walking up to the table’s direction.

he gives you a handshake “y/n, right?” he asks “mhm! and you’re dave”

“that’s right. and skeet!” he greets him with a handshake aswell. “it’s nice to see you both in person for the first time”

everything about this night was amazing: the food, the topics and how you guys literally talked about everything, the laughters, the music, and how everyone was so energetic and excited.

Under read more is a simple how to guide and a link to my list of working 440ish mods with a recommended load order google Spreadsheet

Please use the updated BG3 Mod Manger, dont even look at the in game mod manger for too long or it will eat your saves (not actually, it just does not have a load order so wont work for multiple mods. Do Not Click it and ignore Larian's third part mods warning )

If you have mods installed through the in game mod manager Uninstall Them before continuing.

If you had mods with Patch 6 you need to delete the modsettings.lsx file from your Baldurs Gate 3 app data folder

Also note if you have modded before Patch 7, Mod Fixer is no longer needed, BG3 now has its own mod fixer baked right in, Delete old Mod Fixer, most mods requiring it still work

If you did not proceed on

If this is your first time modding please find your Mods Folder in C:\Users\YOURWINDOWSUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3

This is where we will be adding mods downloaded from Nexus or a Mod Makers Patreon

copy the pak file from your downloaded zip folder into your mod folder and boot up BG3 Mod Manger

Okay now that you have a mod it will show up in the mod manager

On the right side is Uninstalled mods

On the left are Installed mods

To use a new mods just Drag and Drop to the left side in the recommended load order. Some mods automatically end up in the override section so you don't have to worry about em.

Load Order is very important as it is what stops mods from fighting each other and causing problems

You can now click Save and Export and then click the bg3 start button to test out if it works

Do Not Click In Game Manager IT WILL RESET ALL YOUR MODDING WORK

Click New Game or Load Save

if you get a pop up just click okay, old saves may not work I'm sorry to say and it's best to start over.

Here's the link to list of mods I use and the order they are in, if a mod didnt work for me I list it as Not Working.

Warning that some mods a Spicy just ignore em if you hate em

Also warning that for some reason the guardian appears to be missing their armor and some of the racial options have glitched under pants. No idea why but i got the main part of the game working so I'm happy lol

Just helped my mom setup a new smartphone she bought and holy shit there's so much useless clutter and invasive bullshit in there. Literally spent an hour declining a million apps asking to please please please let us spy on you please we wanna eat and sell your data we really need it pleeeeease. The amount of pre installed apps is insane, like 3 dozen apps shoved into a phone without your say-so, many of which you also can't uninstall. Last time I had to deal with a brand-new smartphone was in 2018 and I already was super annoyed back then, but somehow it got 15 times worse.

Alright. I'm making this post because I was unpleasantly surprised to find Microsoft had forcibly downloaded an """"ai assistant"""" onto my computer (called Copilot), and because finding a site that actually told me how to kill it for good -- in clear, truly step-by-step terms -- was way harder than it needed to be.

Preface: this is only relevant if you're running Windows 11.

Here is your target:

If you see this logo on your taskbar -- or... have Edge installed on Windows 11 -- you've got Copilot. You can't delete it on its own, Microsoft has integrated it into the OS as best they can. The most you can do is disable it (instructions for which are at the very end of this post).

So... to REALLY get rid of it you need to uninstall Microsoft Edge, because it's a part of/reliant on Edge. A lot of bells and whistles of Windows are also reliant on Edge, like widgets, but I never use those. I use my PC almost exclusively for gaming, and I don't want this slimy "ai" shit on my computer. I use Firefox anyway. Edge can go die as far as I'm concerned.

Here's the actual steps, copy-pasted from a website that took me way too long to find. It also really makes my browser chug for some reason, which is why I'm copy-pasting the whole thing. If you still want to look at the site itself, put it in reader view as fast as you can (link to site).

1.) Open Microsoft Edge, type "edge://settings/help" in the address bar, and then press Enter.

2.) Click "About Microsoft Edge" at the bottom of the left-hand pane. Copy the version number at the top of the screen, under Microsoft Edge.

3.) Press Windows Key + S to open Windows Search.

4.) Type "Command Prompt", right-click the result, and then select "Run as Administrator".

5.) The User Account Control (UAC) prompt will appear. Click "Yes".

6.) Navigate to Edge’s “Installer” directory by using the cd command. Depending on which directory your Command Prompt opens in by default, you may need to use the "cd .." command to go back a level or two.

Once ready, run this command:

cd “Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\Version Number\Installer”

Replace "Version Number" with your actual version number copied earlier.

7.) Next, run this command to uninstall Microsoft Edge:

setup –uninstall –force-uninstall –system-level

((It will look like nothing happened! Don't worry!))

8.) Restart your PC for the changes to take place.

((HOWEVER, Windows will try to reinstall it the next time your PC updates (or whenever it feels like it lol) so there's a second half to this))

1.) Press Windows Key + R to open Run.

2.) Type "regedit" in the text box and click OK to open the Registry Editor.

3.) The User Account Control (UAC) prompt will appear. Click "Yes".

4.) In the Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\SOFTWARE\Microsoft.

5.) Right-click the "Microsoft" folder, hover your cursor over "New", and then select "Key".

6.) Rename the new Key to "EdgeUpdate".

7.) Right-click EdgeUpdate, hover your cursor over "New", and then select "DWORD (32-bit) Value".

8.) Right-click the new value, which is currently named "New Value #1".

9.) Select "Rename" from the context menu.

10.) Rename the value to "DoNotUpdateToEdgeWithChromium".

11.) Right-click the newly-named DoNotUpdateToEdgeWithChromium value and select "Modify" from the context menu.

12.) The Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value window will appear. Change the Value data to "1" and then click OK.

((You are now free. If you ever run into a really serious, unavoidable issue with your OS that's clearly a result of Edge being gone, you can redownload it like a regular app. But you should be fine.))

((And, if for some reason you want still want Edge around but just want the copilot thing gone, here's what you do:

The command, for ease of copy-pasting: reg add HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsCopilot /v TurnOffWindowsCopilot /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

You can't actually truly delete Copilot (without deleting Edge), only disable it. And as the reply says, you do have to do this every time you turn the computer on. I haven't tested that myself, but I believe it. I assume/hope that excludes just waking the computer up after it goes to sleep, but I don't know for sure.))

hey so idk if anyone else following me has this problem, but if you're using tumblr on ios (apple/iphone) and it's running slow--go check your storage and see how big it is. my iphone had 16gb worth of tumblr on it, which explains a lot of the weirdness i'd been experiencing. (and if you're wondering why i waited so long to bother checking, i have an incredibly high tolerance level for tech nonsense...for better or worse)

i was prompted to check this after seeing all the shenanigans of tumblr storing 3+ gb worth of cookies on desktop. the solution to this problem on ios (and potentially other mobile operating systems, i assume) is to uninstall it and reinstall it, smashing the cache on the app will NOT fix the problem.

in short, go check how much tumblr is being stored on your phone or tablet and give it a good uninstall and reinstall to restore a little balance to your device 😭

Installing Blowtorch, detailed explanation.

You want to install Blowtorch, my mod that takes out the ugly modern deco in Sims 4 worlds, but you are confused. Here comes a more detailed explanation.

Step by step:

Download the files either from Patreon or SimFileShare

Unzip the zipfile called Blowtorch

in your Documents folder, or other folder where you keep sim files, outside of game folders. This zipfile just contains the file structure.

Now:

After unzipping the mentioned files in Documents/Blowtorch, you have a repository for the mod.

Now you can always reinstall or uninstall it with two clicks.

Install:

This is what the Documents/Blowtorch should look like after unzipping everything.

Select the folder named The Sims 4. Right click. Copy.

Now, click on shortcut to YOUR location for gamefiles – I provided one for EA Games (if you have EA app) and one for Origin (If you still have the files in the Origin folder) Both these are in C:/Programs – if you have them elsewhere, go find them – for example on an external harddrive.

The shortcut takes you to the The Sims 4 directory where all the game files are installed.

Paste the The Sims 4 folder from Blowtorch you just copied, here. You will be asked to overwrite files. Say yes.

If you want to uninstall, repeat this process, but copy the The Sims 4 folder in Original Files instead.

If you don’t have all expansions, or for other reasons, want to keep some worlds NOT Blowtorched, go inside Blowtorch/The Sims 4 and delete the worlds/hoods you DON’T WANT, before copypasting the folder to the game folder in C:/Windows.

But every time I click Play, it instantly crashes back to the EA App. I have zero mods or Store CC installed or anything. I never had a laptop with Nvidia and different V-RAM/GPU components, so I'm a fish out of water as far as specs go with this new PC, since my dinosaurs ran TS3 just fine, LOL. Before this I was on a Win10 8GB Dell laptop (2017-2023), and before that I was on a 4GB Vista HP laptop (2009-2017).

This new laptop is a Win11 Asus--it runs Baldur's Gate 3 (barely, LOL, even my Steam Deck is crying), so I have no clue why it can't run TS3:

okay, this is NOT a guide, but feel free to use it if you wish <3

so basically, last year, on my birthday, i was gifted a lot of money by my family, and i wanted to spend all of it on getting clothes that sutied my aesthetic/staple pieces that i can use to create varied looks, so i made a very detailed list of what exactly im going to buy with the money, price, number of them (for ex: 3 tank tops, 2 jeans) at the start of this year. and then i kind of forgot about the list, that is, i uninstalled the app for more storage space (lmao) and never opened it again.

fast forward to november, i wanted to make a schedule for my 70 day glowup challenge, so i logged into the app again, and noticed my list. and guess what? not only did i have every single thing on that list, i could also buy things THAT I DIDNT WRITE DOWN but wanted in my mind. with the SAME amount of money that i had in the start of the year. and not just this, there have been several instances where i have wanted something and thought about it everyday before going to bed, and it came true, completely and irrevocably. this is why i do believe in the power of manifesting and affirming. i used to think it was just daydreaming, but i realised that it isnt, because i was imagining myself in particular situations that i wanted for myself, and later that year or a few days later, i would find myself in that situation (for ex, i manifested a guy crushing on me, and it came true, very powerfully, in fact, in just a matter of days. at that time i didnt see the connection, but now i do)

also, a note about void state. i literally opened tumblr first thing in the morning today and read a post on someone who got into the void state/was trying to get into it, and i was like, what???? because, i have been experiencing that often when i go to sleep at night, ever since i was a CHILD. i dont have much of an idea of what the void state feels like, but while laying in bed, i would often have this feeling of spinning, sinking into a pitch black tunnel. and quite obviously, i didnt know what it was, but over time, i learned to relax into it. again, since i didnt know this was the void state, i never used it to manifest or imagine the reality i want, but now that im aware, i will start using it.

again, im not sure if i did reach the void state, bc im not well-informed and until today i didnt even believe in it, so leave me a comment if thats not the void state, it would be really helpful xx

Hi there, I think there is an issue with the app? I'm using the request function and it seems to be just eating my requests. I type them in, it says "request confirmed" but nothing is in my history tab and it's been a few days with no transformation. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and it seems I can see my request history now but it looks like this?

STR-14 is actually a server error at our end. And quite obviously, when I look at the logs, there was a short power failure in the data center during the first request. Then the request was aborted. With the current version, this is no longer a problem, because the requests are then automatically deleted. But before the bugfix, the request would have had to be deleted manually. And so several requests accumulated, which blocked each other. Sorry, I deleted them all manually on the server. As an apology a suggestion: A little time travel to the IFBB Arnold Classics 2003? The golden years of bodybuilding. I've tinkered with a preset there that you might like. Inspired by Victor Martinez.

Go on stage and blow them all away! Stay in the body and in the role as long as you want. Your app is working perfectly again. And otherwise, call our time traveler support. You will find the business card with the number in your wallet after the transformation.

Hello! I have only ever played Sims 4 but decided to give Sims 3 a try. I bought a Sims 3 bundle on the EA App but Sims 3 won’t launch. When I click on Sims 3 in the app, it opens the Sims 3 launcher, I hit play and then it reverts back to the EA App. I’ve got a newish custom gaming PC and I’ve read a bunch of different articles online about this problem. But the “solutions” are insanely convoluted and confusing. Can I ask how you’re able to open Sims 3?

Ho boy, okay, well with an issue like this it can be a lotta possibilities. The Sims 3 is old, and like all old games, they can be incredibly finicky on newer PC’s.

The only time I’ve ever had this issue was 1) when I got my current PC, and went from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I eventually fixed it by going into the properties of The Sims 3 exe file, and running it on compatibility mode. There’s plenty of tutorials on google for it, it’s just rlly important you make both the game’s exe and the game’s dashboard exe file run the same type of compatibility mode. 2) I got this issue again ( and with a few other games ) when I upgraded my C drive, and had to clone my old one to my new one, apparently you also have to reinstall all Windows Service Packs when running a fresh drive, or many of your games won’t run.

Can’t think of much else, unless you’ve got Reshade or something installed, uninstalling it and seeing if it works might help. Repairing the game might also help, since EA App and Origin are absolutely notorious for forgetting to install some files while running their installer. I remember having to reinstall Showtime, bc it wouldn’t let my sims do any interactions related to the pack, despite the world and all its content showing up fine.

I’ll also post this publicly in case anyone’s got any other ideas. Checking out the Steam Community tutorial on how to install and optimize The Sims 3 esp on new PC’s might also help, I’ve got it linked on my blog if you search “tutorials” on it, it’ll probably come up.

Hi anon! I'm sorry you're having problems. Is this your first time using Windows 11? (I'm about to get a new PC with it on, and ngl I'm low-key terrified!)

When you say it crashes when you change the shaders, do you mean when you switch between presets, or when you turn individual shaders on and off in the list below?

Either way, it could be related to a windows file permissions problem. Windows 11 is apparently really quite strict with its permissions. Not having the correct file permissions means that ReShade won't be allowed to modify any files, which can either lead to a warning that your settings can't be saved, or might theoretically lead to a crash. There are a couple of ways you can get around it.

You can install your games outside of Program Files (although I did hear recently it can be the entire C drive that Win 11 protects in this way, in which case installing it on a second internal drive is another option).

Or, you can set your EA App folder to have the correct permissions for your Windows user account. There's a very long and detailed article here about how to do it. I don't know if these extra steps are required because it's Windows 11 or because they're safer, I'm not sure, but whenever I've had to do it on earlier versions it's been a simpler process of just allowing full control to the top level game folder via the Security tab under Properties.

The final way is to just run your game (and EA App, and any other software you use with the game like SRWE or whatever) as admin each time you run it.

Now, I'm not certain this is what's causing your crashing, but it's definitely worth a shot. The quickest way to test it is to try option 3, running everything as admin one time. If it works fine, then you know it was a permissions problem, and you can either keep running as admin, or choose one of the other 2 options instead.

Also, be sure to look at any dependencies ReShade requires, like the correct .NET framework. All info should be on the main ReShade site. It used to be that Windows 11 didn't come with something ReShade needed. I don't know if that's changed now, but it's best to check.

had this lying about and figured itd be good to put here, those of you on android who use youtube, do this! other apps too, but this tutorial is for youtube. its the same basic steps. you got this.

eta: this may not work on all devices. if it aborts, sorry. try revanced builder. its more difficult to use, but seems to work even when the manager fails. i dont have a gide for it yet, but the link has instructions.

Goodbye Vanced, hello ReVanced!

1. Install ReVanced Manager: https://github.com/revanced/revanced-manager

2. Install Vanced MicroG: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/team-vanced/microg-youtube-vanced

3. Open the manager, switch to the "patcher" tab, and find the reccomended version (ex: `18.23.35`)

4. Go to APKMirror and download the Universal APK (not bundle) for that version (ex: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube/youtube-18-05-40-release/youtube-18-23-35-2-android-apk-download/)

5. Go to *⚙️ Settings > Apps > See all apps > YouTube* and tap **🚫 Disable** (optional)

6. Go to *App details* and tap **Uninstall** (optional)

7. In ReVanced Manager, go to *🔧 Patcher > Select an application > __💾 Storage__* and pick the downloaded YouTube APK (ex: `com.google.android.youtube_18.23.35-1538252224_minAPI26(arm64-v8a,armeabi-v7a,x86,x86_64)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk`)

8. In *Select patches*, tap **Recommended** a few times to make sure you have 50+ patches selected

9. Tap *✔️ Done > 🔧 Patch > Install > Install anyway*
