This aromantic week, I have to deal with the fact that one of my best friends has asked me out, despite the fact that they know I'm aromantic. They are giving me the time to think it over (I already know my answer I just want to be careful with their heart), but what do you think the best way to go about making sure everyone you care about knows you are aromantic and don't do romance is? I'd really like to make this clear to all of my friends, but I'm not sure what the best way to come out would be so that it would stick in their minds.

I am!! I'm still in the planning stage right now though, and I kinda wanna make it on my own since the inspiration behind it is super personal, but once I finally name the thing and can post that announcement that's been in my drafts for a couple weeks I'd be happy to hear theories or anything else!!

I think that the switch from reddit to tumblr is particularly difficult for me so far, and i know it's just been a few days, but i wonder if other people are having these issues as well, so i thought it might be a decent idea to write out my thoughts here.

-first off, i was a lurker almost exclusively on reddit. Much more introverted, and i only spoke about things i knew or if i knew id get karma for it (being a person with RSD, i kind of hated downvotes, regardless if they were just "useless internet points" or not).

-tumblr requires you to be more interactive and speak out more with its etiquette, by reblogging and so forth (ive read in a few places that comments sections werent used much before the refugees invaded tumblr, which i think seems like a cool positive)

-while there arent any downvotes, i still feel anxious to talk/put myself out there. Am i reblogging right? Are my tags funny? Is my blog a big uninteresting mess?

This isnt a problem with the site itself, but with me obviously. But we are talking about my difficulty here, so it still needs to be said.

-the communities arent built in here like they were with reddit, so you sort of have to find it, and the regular posters who have the kind of quality content you want. This is pretty cool, but vastly different from reddit and im having a tough time getting used to it.

-there's definitely a few people i missed from the reddit communities i was in, and i wish i knew if they were here or not. (Talking about you, u/nepalman230)

All this being said, holy hell, its wild. Im putting my thoughts out here right now, and while it does feel....uncomfy, i think its more because im not used to it. It feels more like shouting out to the void. Maybe itll talk back. Who knows?

But i think this site is very neat, and i love love LOVE how much more inclusive tumblr is. Im straight and a cis male, but there were a lot of toxic communities that would just not let people be who they say they are, and im so glad that all my LGBTQ+ friends have a more inclusive place like this, and that so many have migrated over here. I wish i wouldve come here sooner.

Im also very grateful to all you veteran tumblr users putting in the effort to help us out. Youve put so much out here for us, to help us better understand how to navigate these new waters, and honestly? I'd have been really screwed without the help ive received, because tumblr is really kinda chaotic.

tutorial for how to get into the files in clangen and cause kitten-chaos!

first, go into settings, then click this funny little button

after this, save and close the game.

then click saves

then click on the desired clan you wish to cause chaos in,

for me itll be nightclan, (so the folder named night) but for you it'd probably be named something else, i dont know i dont judge

then your going to want to open these two notes, one will help you get the cat ids, and the other is where youll put in the text for kitten chaos

then you're going to want to go into the pregnancy one, and paste

{ "null": { "second_parent": null, "moons": 0, "amount": 0 } }

dont worry about the text that says 'null', we'll replace that with the cat's ids later

then go into clan_cats, and find the ids of the cats you want. its easier if you scroll to the very top, press ctrl+f and then type the first word in their name

then when you've found the cat you want, copy and paste the id from the line above the name prefix into the pregnancy file

youll want to paste it into the second line, this'll make the id of the cat you pasted the one who will be giving birth to the kitten chaos you desire

then repeat the proccess for the second parent, if the first one has no mate and you dont care who it is, just put a random id into there (it HAS to be one of a prexisting cat in the clan that isnt dead)

then you're going to want to put the amount of kittens you want them to have, and how many moons they've been expecting.

then click file, then click save.

then close the notepad, and reopen the game.

you may have to time skip more than one moon, depending on how many moons you had set it to. anyways, after that

you should eventually get the message that they gave birth to their kittens! i hope this helps

WAHHHH I love your takes on Cirrus! The fandom as a whole (me included) get really caught up on Cirrus being the responsible, smart, in control one who is elegent and is good at everything because someone has to be, and I just love seeing thoughts of her that don't subscribe to that. Punch Bowl Confessions (Peter Parker x Reader)

A/N: Not the typical Coriolanus Snow fic I know but this prompt was too good and I simply could not pass up the opportunity and it just wouldn’t work for him. Written during a writing sprint so itll be shorter than usual and def ends abruptly. As always feel free to say hi or send in a request. 

Reunions are shit. This is a fact. High school was not fun the first time around so why must one do it twice. These thoughts raced through Peter’s head as he put on THE MOST uncomfortable button up he’d ever purchased. The thought of showing up in the suit crossed his mind for only three seconds this morning. As fun as saying, “Oh yeah did I ever mention I’m actually Spider-Man?” seemed it also just was not the move. 

He also considered skipping, for significantly longer than three seconds, but he couldn’t let go of the hope that you would show. A whirlwind high school romance that had ended because you went to UCLA and he stayed to go to NYU and somehow breaks just weren’t enough anymore. He found his mind often wondering to those times. To how bitter and angry he was, the horrible things he’d said out of frustration and longing. And now he was on a mission to prove he could do better.. that is if you show up of course. 

The taxi ride was uneventful, nothing but shaking legs, way too many knuckle cracks, and a few nervous checks of the phone-- like you’d text after all this time. The old gymnasium seemed so much smaller than Peter remembered. Perhaps it was from all the people standing in it or the excessive amount of balloons dancing across the ceiling, but it just felt.. disappointing. 

Peter had quickly found Ned, enjoying catching up with his old friend who had moved to Colorado on a dream and a prayer years ago. Until he caught a glimpse of a familiar figure behind the punch bowl, 

“Hey just give me one sec, I need to grab a drink” Ned glanced around and gave Peter a knowing look. “I’ll come over tomorrow you have fun” 

He quickly made his way over. Rehearsing all the things he wanted to say in his head, perhaps something funny to break the ice? Or flirty to show off his charm? Wait what charm? Or maybe-- without warning he was one with the punch bowl. Which quickly turned into being one with the punch bowl, and you. 

“Oh shit I’m so sorry, are you okay? Here let me help..” Peter couldn’t believe he’d already failed. In three whole minutes he’d made an absolute fool of himself. 

“I’m good just wet,” you looked up from the floor and caught his eyes for the first time, somehow covered in red you were still just as pretty as he’d remembered. “Here let’s go get you cleaned up” You let Peter take your hand as he led you through the familiar hallways. You couldn’t help but let the blush take over your cheeks, ten years had done Peter well, he looked.. grown, less frail and more confident, and dare you think it but sexy. But maybe that’s just because it’s been too long.. Yeah definitely because it’s been too long. 

The silence was comfortable as he dabbed the same non-absorbent paper towels over your dress. Hands staying a little too long at your chest, his eyes lingered but you didn’t dare say a word, scared the moment would end. 

“I just wanted to--” Peter started to speak before you stopped him with a kiss. He returned it just as greedily, quickly taking control of your mouth with his own. 

“Why don’t we go to your place” you let out in a panting whisper, he said nothing but lifted you and started towards the back door.

im the original suicide bait anon, hi. i will drop it after this because i truly don't want to start an argument or anything, i just wanted to explain where im coming from and respond to some of the things ive seen people say wrt my original ask.

unfortunately it really isnt as simple as "block the phrase" because when you mute something on this dumb ass website it still shows you the thing you muted in big blue text every time you scroll past a post with that phrase. this is usually fine if youre blocking posts that mention something that triggers you, but when its the phrase itself thats the trigger, it is incredibly ineffective. for people who cant see those phrases because itll trigger them– whether that be a panic attack or suicidal intrusive thoughts or something else– the current upward trend of suicide baiting is massively harmful. (even as a joke! triggers arent context dependent. im not gonna get triggered by something, see its a joke or that it was directed at a bad person, and be like "oh! nevermind then. call off the trauma response, all is well.") it is impossible to avoid in the current online climate, and the tools that should help us prevent mental distress don't work for us in the slightest. so the least i can do is try to ask people to reconsider using that language, not just for my own sake but for other people who i know are struggling a lot recently because of it too.

when you tell transphobes to end their lives, at most youre making them briefly upset, but trans people have a massive rate of suicidal ideation and suicide attempts. a lot of us have suicide-related trauma, and a lot of us have some moderate to severe responses to related triggers. it isn't helpful for any of us to be going around inducing intrusive thoughts and anxiety in each other just to let off a bit of frustration towards a bigot who doesnt care about anything you have to say in the first place.

like i said, im not saying all this to try and start a whole argument or anything, im gonna fully drop it after this. i just wanted to explain where im coming from (because it seems a lot of people just never even consider that the new funny trend could be harmful, since everyone else is doing it) and why the common responses of "just mute it" and stuff like that arent really helpful. there was a period of time not too long ago where suicide was seen as something deeply serious which was tacky and insensitive to joke about, but recently every tumblr blog is doing it, its in image based memes that we couldnt even mute if we tried, big youtubers like kurtis conner are doing it with no warning, etc.

Had this AU idea for saboace where Ace survives just barely but thanks to the news everyone thinks he's dead still cuz there's a brutal picture of his body bloodied and unconscious on the front page and he does look low-key dead so he has to disguise himself somehow and hide while simultaneously training up his haki (cuz I don't think he really did much with his haki, I think he had it but didn't like using it and refused to train it up, I headcanon that he did this on purpose to spite Roger who also had haki, honestly I refuse to believe Ace wouldn't have been dozens of times stronger if his haki had been properly evolved. Though he absolutely has all forms of haki already awakened cuz he's just that much of a badass, anyway).

The only place they can think of to hide him is right under everyone's noses, so he somehow wiggles his way into the revolutionary army. He's not too happy with it cuz he's got beef with Dragon (hey whyd you abandon luffy) and Dragon I think knows it's him despite the disguise but says nothing cuz that's none of his business (Kermit meme here) and since it was announced Ace was fully dead Sabo regained his memories and already had that super fun nervous breakdown and three day coma and is NotDoingWell™ and Dragon is a Dad so he's like "imma push these two together and hope they realize the connection, surely my Chief of Staff is smart enough to recognize who this is" but he underestimates Sabo’s Spicy Trauma cuz he does not realize.

And Ace knows it's Sabo but he's told by a few of the other revolutionaries that Sabo still has amnesia (yeah man he can't remember shit from his childhood from what I've heard), bummer he's only heard it from random footsoldiers and not those closest to Sabo but it's fine I'm sure. So Ace is like "oh I may fuck him up more if I fling my disguise off and tell him we know each other so imma just be quiet" and Sabo is like "wow I let my bro and first ever friend and high key love of my life get murdered I wish I was dead:)" and Dragon is like "guys plz just kiss".

- hey remember in the episode how when william rolled to see if he was okay breathing inside the prison cell and bizly said something along the lines of "youre only hyperventilating because you *think* you should be, youre actually fine" << think about this in context with what you know now :) and hold onto it for the beginning of 14

- theyre talking about what happened between william and mark over the 10 month timeskip: william contacted him at some point, not really about anything in particular, just to ask him if he knew anything about ashe that could help thsm find him/updating him on their progress finding ashe. then when they started playing again william stopped contacting him (for meta reasons, charlie just forgot that was an option BUT) bizly took note of that anyway and thats why mark was so hostile right off the bat. he just like. stopped hearing things from william and didnt know what was going on anymore. so when they showed up here and had no update on ashe whatsoever it just made him think they werent actually doing anything to find him

- grizzly: "man you would thing being in prison and losing his son would give this man some perspective and adjust his personality but he just became more of an asshole"

bizly: "no, the problem is youre not thinking about it from his perspective!! youre only thinking about it from dakotas point of view where hes a villain and hes doing bad things so hes bad. hes just a guy who thought he was doing what he had to do to keep his son safe"

charlie: "okay but he like locked his son up forever"

- charlie is Very concerned about the no blood thing. his theory rn is that the archway he saw was like "crossing over" for ghosts. like fully passing on and not being ghosts anymore. seeing himself/his memories in the prison cells was very poetic, he kind of feels trapped by himself right now. hes the most curious about the 5 empty chairs and what that could possibly mean

- theyre trying to figure out who the group of 5 could possibly be. williams old group didnt have 5 people, prime defenders doesnt have 5 people even with ashe so they have no ideas right now and are excited to find out more :)

- "williams pretty fucked up right now to be honest!!! we just spent an episode and a half arguing about how we're allowed to kill the lich because its undead and not human. and then he learns hes fucking deteriorating. uh oh! now hes probabky thinking 'am i even a person?' i dont even know if he knows what to think about the spirit world right now i think hes just kind of panicked"

SUCH an insanely good episode dude hoooooly shit. head in hands. everybody say thank u bizlychannel!!!!! man. this was SO good man it really does feel like.... not a turning point, necessarily, but very important. honestly, really glad that by now they've had time to really like, sit with their characters & the world & let it all steep for a while? this season already really feels like such a tonal shift & kind of a step up frm season 1 so far!! (NOT that season 1 also wasn't really fucking good. but a lot of what we've got in s2 so far feels a lot more settled and cohesive) im here for it!!! LOVED the animatic that shit was crazy. if thats a precedent they're setting now im gonna go wild.

I ALSO THOUGHT THEY WERE GONNA MURDER THE LICH. i was like ohhhh great this is how we get the vigilante on the run arc its gonna be so bad theyre never gonna see tide again. phew!!!! i mean, i, too, still think the lich should be dead. but. also yeah WHAT DO YOU MEAAAN THATS A REAL THING HIS DAD DID. what else.. having so many thoughts about william's Situation . as always. man. it's so fucked up. i have no clue where any of it's going dude... the only thought i have is that i don't think. we have any real context for the five thrones thing yet. i don't think that's related to anything we already know except. mayyybe mal. i think that's some spirit world-specific bullshit! we'll see though. we'll see.

– miguel was an asshole, a certified one at that — your first day at hq wasn't very thrilling with him throwing you nasty looks left and right, the worst part is, he didn't actually say anything rude or mean to you, but he wasn't all that friendly either, so when you came up to him with a scowl on your face and demanding that he tells you why he keeps looking at you like you just spilled the milk over, he simply looked you up and down and said something along the lines of 'just get back to work' not really offering much context or explanation before leaving you to head back to his 'office' and from that day on, you were sworn enemies — you couldn't stand his authority figure persona and he couldn't stand your stubborn self because you never abided by his rules, so everyday was to you was a back and forth argument with him, and it didn't help that you'd get paired up with him for alot of missions — talk about bad luck.

– slowly but surely, the two of you eased up to eachother, yeah it took like nine months but it worked out — your arguments started to turn from actual heated conversations to more of a fun back and forth bickering — miguel would deny it any moment you or anyone would ask him about it, say something about how he thinks it's annoying but the small grin on his face when he talks to you doesn't go unnoticed, no matter how much he tries to hide it — yeah, he's a tough shell, closed off and repulsive but he isn't all that bad after all, at least that how you were starting to see him — like hey, he brought you empanadas from the cafeteria with him, he doesn't do that with anybody else.

– soon enough, it's been a year and a half since miguel has known you — you still don't really know him that much but you settled for a truce and you warmed up to eachother. the day came where your walls were broken down and the rain was pouring over your head, seemingly amplifying your bad mood because it felt like such a cliche for it to heavy pour on the day you felt at your worst — but you were soon shielded from the icy cold droplets when an umbrella came over your head, and surely enough it was miguel who was holding it, he threw you a glance, his face the usual blank expression he worse but his eyes were soft, he mumbled something about 'don't want you catching a cold, you have a mission tomorrow' and the rest of the walk to your place was in silence, not the heavy kind, miguel wasn't a talker after all, but you appreciated his presence — no matter how silent it was, it was still comforting.
