Will never stop thinking about how Leo, all alone in an endless void and being beaten again and again and again by the only other living thing around, still finds comfort in that space. The situation he was in was completely hopeless, and in any other circumstances he would not have escaped, at least not fast enough to save him from permanent (or even fatal) damage, be it physical or mental.
And yet, despite the bleakness of his situation, despite the agony and helplessness, all he needs is one glance at a crumbled photograph, one glance to remember his family, and that’s enough of a reason for him to smile.
Maybe that’s why his powers center around manipulating space - because no matter how much space is between them, no matter how dire his own situation may be, just the thought of his family, alive and okay, is enough to give Leo hope.

Deeva Årud - Club Wear Voice Lines
When Summoned: Lights dimmed, tension building up… Are you ready to feel our rhythm?
Summon Line: Playing music with friends is fun, I’m glad to be here even though I’m starting to feel a bit nervous.
Groooovy!!: We’d be delighted to see you at our next show. Spotting a familiar face among the crowd is always nice.
Home: “Let’s rock and roll”, as some would say.
Home Idle 1: I joined the Pop Music Club on my second year. Perhaps it’s quite a drastic change from my previous club but… it’d be a lie to say I’m not enjoying my time here.
Home Idle 2: Most of the time I’m the one suggesting we should practice, but somehow Lilia, Cater and Kalim always distract me with all these unknown snacks and gadgets. Sometimes I have the feeling they do it on purpose…
Home Idle 3: I need to warm my hands, it’s hard playing an instrument when they’re cold.
Home Idle – Login: *humming Piece of My World* Ah- sorry, I didn’t see you there. Can I help you with something?
Home Idle – Groovy: I’ve been playing violin and other instruments since I was a kid. My family has always had a connection with music and I’ll gladly continue this legacy. Conveying your thoughts and feelings through sounds is quite satisfactory.
Home Tap 1: My first concert with them? Since it was the first time I’d be playing in front of many people, I knew I’d have a hard time trying to look at the audience. Cater noticed and told me to look at him so I could feel less overwhelmed… Let’s say I didn’t expect him to be so literal. His clones substituted the audience because no one came to see us.
Home Tap 2: Hm, my violin? Indeed, it’s not the same one I use at Mostro Lounge. An electric violin is more suitable for the club’s activities. I’m surprised you noticed it. That means someone’s been paying too much attention to the musician playing ambience music… That was a joke.
Home Tap 3: Kalim and I joined the club in the same year so I got to see how much he’s improved his drumming technique. It’s impressive. Certainly, Lilia’s been an excellent teacher to him.
Home Tap 4: I like the idea of having customized masks for our performances. Maybe I should mention it once we have enough funds.
Home Tap 5: I recently accepted to do some vocals just for our club sessions. You can come see us, but please refrain from telling everyone else. At the moment, I only feel comfortable singing for a few people.
Home Tap – Groovy: When it comes to a band like this many wouldn’t think of a violinist, but that actually gives songs an interesting feeling, don’t you think?
Duo:
[DEEVA]: Ready for a shocking performance, Cater?
[CATER]: Ready as ever, Dee-chan!

i still can't believe people looked at that one 20 second scene, which doesn't even have any dialogue, and took it to mean riku/namine is canon. it's so wild to me how i originally, when getting into kh, thought people were just saying the ship was cute and popular but no, so much of the fanbase just... thinks it's canon? because of that?
The general populace assuming a boy character and girl character who haven’t interacted in almost 20 years are together after the boy politely offers his hand once (1) time is fucking hilarious — and by hilarious I mean it proves just how insane heteronormativity is.
The problem is there are so many het romances written like this, where one positive interaction, even just a smile, is all it takes for these characters to become a couple. How many stories pair up side characters of opposite genders in the end just because? We are so conditioned to assume that any boy and girl who are friendly to each other must be attracted to each other. It’s pathetic.

9. The Warrior of Light has been through quite a lot, but what is a moment, big or small, that bolstered and renewed their spirit? Was it a cup of hot cocoa or a lovingly crafted sandwich? Did someone give them a few words or a gesture at just the right time that meant the world to them? (Of course, this can be a canon event or headcanon!) (x)
Corisande struggled after Haurchefant's death and though she tried to hide it from her companions, Estinien easily saw through the facade. He mostly did left her alone in that regard, but would sometimes sit quietly with her so she was not completely alone in her grief. And even though they hardly spoke, Corisande knew he understood her pain and appreciated his presence at her side. It was enough to keep her going in one of the hardest times of her life, and was the beginning of the deep friendship and respect they have for each other in the present.

I went back to rewatch the Brotherhood scenes and grab some screencaps, and honestly I was quite surprised that this line was from Quirin! I had misremembered it as one of Hector’s
I love it though. Quirin’s role in the Brotherhood is criminally underutilized a little bit of a mixed one between Hector’s stark loyalty and Adira’s dissatisfaction with the current state. On the one hand, Quirin has by all signs seeming left the Brotherhood - he’s settled down in another kingdom, started a family, is happily living a farmer’s life.
But at the same time - he has been doing his duty behind the scenes. He’s the one who finds the Sundrop and while he seemingly breaks his oath to warn Frederic about removing it, for all we know he never mentions the Moonstone or the DK - just that removing the flower is a Bad Idea because this scroll says so. (and given that both the scroll & Corona’s ties to Demanitus, I wonder if that’s what led him there)
He probably chose to settle in Old Corona because the flower was removed to keep an eye on things. Probably lots of regrets about the Sundrop being real all along, only for it to be immediately lost. (I wonder if he told Adira)
Then all is quiet for 18 years. And then a year before BEA, the rocks suddenly appear where the flower was (really wonder what the catalyst for this is). Then 6 months later, the lost princess appears. Then 6 more months later her magic hair is back. And the rocks are spreading.
He’s the first one aware of it and.... he does nothing. Says nothing to anyone, just asks for more land when the situation gets bad enough. I think there’s a combination of things preventing him from speaking, but I’d like to think that at least one is him being lawful stupid - He is a knight of the Brotherhood. He will not reveal anything about the Moonstone ever.

mm okay this is a thought i had on the bus like all great thoughts so this might be incomprehensible but im thinking about taob zuko and hakoda's relationship to duty, how there's such a vivid parallel from the very start of their duality. there is zuko and there is the fire prince. there is hakoda and there is the chief. thinking about how book 1 is a journey of duty and humanity. over 19 chapters, zuko is taught about humanity, how it doesnt have to be exchanged for duty, how both can exist within him simultaneously. he begins as prince zuko. he is abrasive and hateful and he fights the water tribe every step of the way, but by the end, he is just zuko. he chooses the water tribe over himself. he loses his firebending. he leaves the red ribbon behind. but hakoda? hakoda's journey is the complete opposite. where he teaches zuko the strength of humanity, hakoda sees in zuko someone facing the same burdens of duty that he faces, and zuko teaches him things about leadership without even realising. the importance of duty in the face of turmoil, the responsibility on their shoulders, the cost of their wrongdoings. the moment they were placed in control of the lives of others, they lost the right to total humanity, and while zuko's journey and age allows him a reprieve of that duty so that he can embrace humanity in its entirety, hakoda continues to carry that load. in chapter 1, he makes an objectively illogical, emotion-led decision to keep zuko alive and bring him aboard, a decision that is even stated in the story to have only worked because it was zuko instead of literally any other firebender. by chapter 19, hakoda makes the decision to leave zuko behind despite almost having it confirmed that fong took him, because he knows that his duty lies with his tribe, that he has dozens of lives in his hands regardless of what his heart wants.
book 1 is about zuko learning to choose humanity over duty, but it is also about hakoda having to choose duty over humanity.
