Mina kept on walking with Jonathan holding her arm, as he had always preferred ("like in the old days"), because she puts him over propriety which has been her bread and butter. She keeps him in mind in her own sorrow.

Jonathan also shows how much he's thinking of Mina's comfort and feelings in the middle of his grief:

After Mr Hawkins' funeral, "Jonathan thought it would interest me to go into the Row for a while, so we sat down". Jonathan takes them to The Row, where people in the Victorian and Edwardian era would be seen riding horses. Mina has already revealed that she's fond of animals, comforted a scared dog, and liked watching "dear cows", so it makes sense that Jonathan thinks that Mina would be interested after burying Mr Hawkins.

Even while grieving, they both are always thinking about each other.

Imagine a doctor and nurse au for dickstroke. Except Dick is the doctor, and Slade is the nurse.

Dick: a twenty something fresh out of medschool, and it's his first time out of residency. Bruce never let him choose what path he wanted, Wayne was an old name, and 10 generations have been doctors before him. Just because Dick is adopted does not mean he can break tradition. He likes helping people, so he's not mad, just resigned to his path in life. Lately, Bruce has been introducing him to eligible young ladies of good pedigree that would compliment the future he has laid out for Dick. Dick tries to be resigned about this, too, but his heart yearns for something more exciting.

Slade: Fifty something divorced man with 3 kids he needs to support. He became a nurse after he left the military and had two young kids and a wife. Nursing schools are relatively fast to complete, and the pay is extremely good. His strength and stature lend himself to the more physical aspects of the job. But his true strength lies in helping the soldiers that cross his path. He works mostly in the physical therapy ward and can help the ones who come back from the battlefield. His secret is that he feels stuck in his routine and misses war, but he tries to be present for his family. He seeks out ways to break the monotony.

Obviously they meet, idk if it's healthy but they sure as heck make the other's life more interesting!

Ever since I was a kid watching BW! I found Ash and Iris really cute in the early episodes and I genuinely thought Iris had a crush on him 😭 It was something with how much she blushed around him and leaned in close/ touching him when she really didn't have to.

And then Cilan came along and made comments like how alike they were/ how good they look together, and I was like "you're right, connoisseur guy, they would be pretty cute together"
