What I loved about Cinderella's Castle is it is so entirely about Ella. We know starkid can handle a show with tons and tons of characters but I found it quite refreshing for it to be so wholly her story? I think it was a lovely choice for this show and man Bryce did such a perfect job of it, she is truly such a star

I need to talk about Ophelia Ella before she became Cinderella.

Ophelia was not like other princesses even thou she had a happily ever after like others. She likes cooking, cleaning, gardening and sewing her own clothes. Everything other royals would call "servant work", but she took great pride in her own hard work.

She also had a lot of fears regarding her destiny, but she couldn't tell anyone because even her close friends praised it and couldn't wait for them to start. Was she really ready for it? Was she really ready to lose her mother? What kind of prince will hers be? What if he doesn't like her hobbies and her interests? What if he is a traditional prince and would stop her from cooking, cleaning and gardening because that's 'not what proper princess do"? What if he doesn't love her and only marries her for destiny and crown? Could she live in a loveless marriage? And what about her future child? Is she willing to die and not watch them live their life past teenage years?

Louis Charming. That was her destined prince. From some minor Charming family. They didn't know each other before legacy day, but they both agreed to take it slow, first being friends.

First, they would have short conversations about general things at lunch and between classes. Then they would from time to time go together for a coffee, to get to know each other better. After that, they started going to the library together to do homework and study. Sometimes they would just be in the garden together not saying a word, Ophelia doing her gardening, and Louis reading a book. Just feeling the presence of each other was enough. Nothing romantic yet, just platonic for start.

Then he started bringing her gifts. Nothing big, just some simple thing things she liked. Her favorite flowers, favorite chocolate, new tools for the garden, and a pretty embroidery set. Small things that she appreciated. And she started giving him some small gifts. Books he liked, his favorite childhood dish, embroidering his new cape and gloves with things he likes. They started spending more time together. Having breakfast together in the garden, walking trought woods, going horse riding, dancing together at night knowing they're alone.

They were falling in love slowly but deeply. Their love was simple and quiet. They understand each other the way no one else could. And Ophelia wasn't scared anymore.

That's until she held her daughter crying in her arms about how she rebelled and fell in love with a boy named Hunter Huntsman, who was not her destined prince, and how she was scared of destiny. That's when she remembered her scared and lonely teenage self.

She couldn't put her daughter through that, she loves her little girl too much for that. Ophelia knows that many of her friends would not approve of her choice, especially a certain queen. But she's ready to burn all bridges with Snow White for her daughter.

CINDERELLA'S CASTLE IS HERE!!

OMG hi everyone I know I'm a bit late on this but happy "Cinderella's Castle proshot is finally on YouTube for us Starkid fans to consume however many times we want to our heart's content" time!!

I was not able to watch the livestream of the proshot/when they uploaded it in real time, but luckily I was able to watch it over the weekend (curse you 8-5 work week) when I had time- okay well maybe I specifically carved out time so I could just spend an evening to watch it and focus my whole attention on consuming Starkid content.

I for one personally enjoyed getting to see the proshot in all its glory, the costuming and stage sets and the PUPPETS and the soundtrack was just banger after banger.

I love when the next Starkid musical finally hits the Youtube and we all just get to be in the "most recent Starkid musical proshot" phase and consume all the content and we all just thrive off of it until their next iconic idea comes along.

Already looking forward to seeing what they're cooking next- as of current times I am hearing that streets are saying there are hints of a possible TGWDLM related thing happening? What are the Starkids up to now lol.

Anyway, I'm in this Starkid (dikrats) ride for life. Until the next SK phase!!

Me: Wow! I really enjoyed Cinderella's castle, and it's about time that we had a WOC lead a starkids production. It was a really creative take on the fairy tale, but the story has some glaring writing issues, especially in the second act. I'm sure the Fandom would be open to talking about these valid critics in an understanding manner

(01) Is your OC in love? If so, with whom, and for how long?

Based on where Ella and Ambrose's relationship is in canon, I would say that yes, Ella is in love! It's very new, though (and kind of in the stage where Ella would phrase it as "I might be in love with him" or "I think I am in love with him"): I'm always a little bit blurry on Mind Blind's timeline, but it's only been a few days at most. Her initial attraction to Ambrose (immediately after meeting him) is physical (she thinks he's hot), and those feelings quickly grow into a crush (through the process of the Room 1 assignment and working with him on Operation Hemera - I'll elaborate on this in a second). But there's this really tender, gentle moment in Chapter 12 that is kind of a turning point for her, where she realizes that she doesn't just admire or respect or have a crush on Ambrose, but that she has these real (and intense) feelings for him that go beyond the feelings she's had for previous crushes or even previous partners.

(20) How does your OC feel about public displays of affection?

Ella's feelings on PDA depend a lot on whether or not they're at work, lol. I mentioned in passing the other day that Ella and Ambrose have mutually established very strict rules about professionalism in the workplace while Ella is a student (the boundaries get laxer once she has graduated and is his coworker, instead of his student) - it is very important to both of them to keep their personal and professional relationships separate. So at work (while Ella is a student), there is no PDA at all. Even once Ella has graduated, there is still minimal PDA (they both still care about maintaining their professionalism, even if they're not as rigid about separating their personal and professional lives). (The one exception to this is if they're alone in Ambrose's office, but that's not really classic PDA.)

They're still not over-the-top PDA people, even outside of Aeon, but they don't have strict boundaries (because now it's their personal time, not their professional time). They'll hold hands (Ambrose doesn't strike me as someone who is particularly fond of PDA, but Ella does enjoy handholding sometimes and convinces him that, actually, this is nice), maybe embrace or kiss (chastely). (They might kiss a bit less chastely in public if they think they're alone, but again that's not really classic PDA either).

(28) What is something unconventional that your OC thinks is romantic?

This is one of Nick's top 5 "oh my god, what is wrong with you for being love with Ambrose 'A-Is-For-Asshole' Kim" moments.

In Chapter 2 (during the Room 1 assignment), Ella asks for Ambrose to explain Kent's AMO profile to her. In one of the dialogue options (I don't remember which off the top of my head), Ambrose says (and I'm paraphrasing here, I also don't remember the direct quote) that she's probably one of the smartest MIV students in the room, so she should act like it. Ella is absolutely enamoured by this (and this is actually the moment that takes Ella from just thinking Ambrose is hot to actually having a crush on him).

Yes, he's insulting her, but he's also demonstrating his belief in her competence: she is way too smart to be acting that stupid. Ella's intelligence and professional competence is a huge part of her ego and self-image, and it's often one that gets questioned by people once they learn about her Pollard score. Moments like this where Ambrose shows that he recognizes (and even appreciates) her intelligence just make her fall more in love with him.
