you were never a morning person. neuvillette, on the other hand, is the opposite.
a hand went through your hair as you slept. "don't you think that it's time to wake up, love?" he said. you grumbled, turning away from him. "it's not morning yet…" he chuckled, his morning voice visibly there. "the sun that shines behind the curtains says otherwise."
you didn't want to get up yet. just as you were going to poke another reason at neuvillette, you heard something quite embarrassing that made you wake up a bit. “i heard you talking in your sleep,” he mentioned.
“oh? what was i saying?” you replied, making yourself comfortable in his arms that were now wrapped around you. “something i couldn't understand, that’s for sure.” you lightly laughed at his response.
both of you wished you could stay like this, just resting with each other and the sun shining brighter than ever. you wished that tomorrow morning would be like this again, and the morning after that—it would be a selfish request, really. with neuvillette and his job, you doubt you could get moments like these again after a while.
“is there something on your mind, love?” he asked, noticing how you suddenly went silent.
it’s okay to be selfish just this once (even if you've been selfish quite a few times already), it always has been. “it's nothing. good morning, neuvillette.” you reassured him.
you were never a morning person. yet for some reason, the sun seems to shine brighter when you’re with him.

My brain wont shut up about this but now I really want to see your take on Tim suddenly
I think you're one of the people I follow that didn't watch tmnt 2012 so I don't know if you know who that is tho
I actually did watch that episode! I think I finished a lot of the beginning of 2012, but it was hard for me to pay attention so I'm not sure how far I got :/
BUT! I did do some research and found some spoiler things out and it would have been so cool to see him in rise and what they ddi with that
Anyway here's some design ideas ( he'd certainly be a fun character to write)
Silly lil adrenaline junkie who definitely thinks the turtles are some type of alien. He follows them around and tries to cause enough mishcief that they come after him but he just ends up helping them on accident :/
He ends up becoming good friends with April and then with the turtles later, I like to think they'd all find him annoying at first but warm up to him pretty quick :) He's just a silly guy that shows up sometimes

I guess you could say all of Laios’ desires were fulfilled throughout the manga. He got to eat monsters and share that interest with others, he interacts with monsters, he became a monster, he saves Falin, the above picture, and he even gets to see what desires taste like!
It’s like the curse the demon places on him that forbids him from playing with monsters by making them avoid him is the same as having those desires eaten like the other dungeon lords because Laios really got to do everything he wanted the ENTIRE time even when others were like ‘nooooo’ lol. Especially when him starting the journey lead to the situation with the demon reaching this dire stage (even if he’s the one who made the demon leave and rendered him a threat no longer)
I don’t think Laios deserved the punishment he got because he’s really nice and cares about his loved ones, but it’s just like some kind of poetic justice? Like many people suspected Falin wouldn’t be able to get revived because of the narrative themes revolving around accepting death and danger of the infinite (immortality, having your desires fulfilled forever, and resurrection itself). So the sacrifice the demon has him undergo kind of balances everything out. It’s still a happy ending, but also a “fair” one…
(Speaking of which, I absolutely adore how under Laios’s rule, “demi-humans” like orcs and kobolds are finally treated fairly like this man brought about world peace how can you hate him. That’s another thing, about how Laios has no prejudice inside of him because of the way he thinks but that’s another post lol)

My favorite thing about watching Joel Smallishbeans is that he is literally always vibing on entirely his own wavelength
Like,, oh, you’re all terrified of a demon on the server? Doesn’t exist.
You’re all herding cows to prevent the inevitable food shortage of late-game Life Series seasons? I’ll just ahaha stab that for ya’
You’re all doing Serious Lore? I think the sheriff is a toy and I’m a massive God so I’m gonna turn his town into Andy’s bedroom from Toy Story and sell toys of the sheriff, get sued for copyright infringement by said sheriff, and then willingly forfeit the trial because it furthers my Toy Sheriff Agenda
