Sae lets out a deep sigh and leans back against the wall. "Rin, come on. You can't act like this every time someone disappoints you."

"It's not just 'someone'," Rin looks at Sae for a moment, "It's my sibling. Not the first one either."

For a moment, Sae opens his mouth with the intention to continue talking, but after realizing this conversation won't go anywhere, he closes his mouth again and leaves the kitchen.

On his way to his own room, Sae meets you in the hallway. You just returned home from soccer practice. Seeing you makes Sae's frustration about Rin fade away quickly.

And while Sae keeps thinking about ways to get Rin into thinking about the situation in a rational way, you've already decided to take things into your own hands. Something about the way Sae finally developed a bond with you and kept encouraging you to go your own way made you collect enough confidence to talk to Rin again, even though you fully expect him to ignore you again.

But surprisingly this time, he doesn't.

"You won't stop bothering me, will you?" Rin turns to you as you enter his room. "Let's get this over with." He points to the chair at his desk for you to sit down.

With how certain parts in the story play out or are portrayed, do you think Yana exploits or down plays O!Ciel’s trauma sometimes? For example, during Noah’s circus arc, that panic attack he has is caused when he was exposed to Kelvin’s doings which triggered his trauma. Yet at the same time, actions like Ran Mao hugging O!Ciel and pushing him into her chest makes him flustered. The interaction doesn’t make him panic in the same way even though he suffered at the hands of both men and women in the cult. I can mostly chalk it up to Yana putting in fan service in when it comes to how he is framed in certain instances or in situations like the corset scene, but overall, is his trauma only there when the plot needs it?

I'd say the trauma is there all the time. It's just that much of the time he can somewhat control how he reacts. He regularly suppresses his emotions, anyway, because it's the only way he can move forward on his goals. Consider this part of his act, pretending to be the "better" older twin. He knows real Ciel went through the same ordeals, but he probably assumes his older brother would have faced each new day with all the strength he could muster... if he had survived instead. It's probably on his mind more often than we actually witness, but since he's not the main, title character, we don't see his thoughts as often.

If he were constantly displaying the effects of the severe trauma, he'd pull a revolver on Sebastian when he's called upon to wake up each day. He'd be jumping out of his skin to run away whenever a creep like Druitt showed up. Or crouching down to go into the fetal position and scream. That sort of thing. He'd be too much of a mess to let the plot progress. He wouldn't be able to function very well. Basically, he'd be like he was during the witch arc, until Sebastian was 90% serious about devouring his soul then and there.

Honestly, the series would be hard(er) to read, if we were constantly getting the full brunt of the effect those traumatic events have on him. As a victim of childhood abuse myself, with the repetitive intrusive thoughts and flashbacks I already have regarding those long-past experiences, reading and seeing illustrations of similar ongoing suffering would be somewhat detrimental... possibly. What I experienced wasn't as terrifying or horrific as what happens to him and his twin (though the abuse lasted way longer for me), and I don't have any real triggers. Regardless of what happened to me, I do my best to carry on with the day-to-day, even on days I'm thinking about it more than usual. Whatever PTSD I might have isn't nearly as severe as it could be. A series written that way -- our earl constantly showing us how he suffers from trauma -- would be downright unreadable for a lot of people. Some find it too emotionally difficult, as is, and dropped the series.

I expect that what he mentally goes through, after the abuses, is pretty much the same thing all day, every day. It's repetitive, pestering him, and he has to brush away thoughts about it. He does the best he can to hold himself together. He tries to focus on revenge. On Funtom. On his duties as watchdog. Whatever... to think about something other than that timeframe and those memories. What's shown to us (of the trauma) are the times when it's just too much for him to maintain that composure... as well as what caused the trauma in the first place. I'd say that is quite enough to get the point across.

It's sad that a lot of those scenes are given fan service treatment. Sad mostly because it means there's still a large chunk of the fandom that practically demands it. I'd prefer a lack of glamor and sexualization in those moments. I know a lot of fans would agree with me. But she can't please everyone all the time. And what sells, sells.

a/n: apologies for the last answer to this request i've been busy plus motivation wasn't quite there. i hope they aren't ooc tho, nonetheless, pls enjoy and thanks for requesting!

♡ Izumi

Izumi put aside time from idol activities to come and even if he sounds reluctant, trust me he's probably marking the days off his calendar

"I guess since I have a bit of time, I can go-" "oh oh it's fineee if your too busy I'll just give this ticket to Aira, I'm pretty sure he'll love to take it" before you can finish speaking the ticket is already snatched out of your hand

When the performance finally started, did you always shine so bright? He could almost feel himself falling for you all over again. Just harder this time, crashing on him like a wave.

Unfortunately for him, that night, he wasn't the only one who was falling for you... Your thousands, possibly millions of fans squealing your name over and over again.

Under such circumstances, how could Izumi not get slightly jealous. Just slightly or so he says.

"Heyyy Senaa, how did ya enjoy the concert?" you questioned, grinning.

"You were... fine, could hardly hear you from the crowd yelling your name so loudly" purposefully adverting his gaze away from you, mumbling that last part.

"But it's a concert, of course they'll be yelling- ohhhh" then realisation hit you, he was jealous. "Oh my didn't peg you as the jealous type"

His head whipped up to face you so quickly at your words, "wha- who said anything about jealousy?? The crowd was just too loud"

"Sure sure~ Your so sweet, coming to support me. I love you Sena" you giggled thinking back to the pouting Izumi you saw in the audience.

Izumi reached out to clasp you hand in his, rubbing his thumb over your hands, squeezing them a little. Bringing it up to his lips to press a kiss on your palm. This was his way of saying “I love you” back.

Mao is honoured to be invited to your concert! It isn't everyday that he is given a break from his role as President in the Student Council.

It's even rarer to be able to attend your concert as the tickets usually sell out in seconds.

When watching your performance, the only thing he could think of in that moment is the infinite amount of praises he was going to proclaim to you when he finally meets you.

However, amidst those praises, there's definitely an unnerving weighing him down a little.

He immediately tries to shrug off the feeling, especially since he should be happy for you!

"Hey hey Mao!" you greeted him with a little wave which he immediately waved back to. Pulling you in by your waist, he enveloped you a tight hug. A little too tight.

Patting his back lightly to ease the tight hug, you asked "can't- breath-, why the tight hug today?"

"Just missed you, you did amazing as usual. Can we go home now? I have a movie night planned" mumbling into your neck. You cocked an eyebrow at his slightly clingy behavior. It wasn't unwelcome behaviour but it definitely wasn't familiar.

Pressing a kiss on his jaw, you felt his cheeks warm up a little. "Of course, of course you have my attention for the rest of the night!"

OCTOBER 31ST - TRICK OR TREAT

dadbastian week day three is here! on time again, what a miracle.

nothing special to say about this one, it's just a tiny sweet thing :) (oh and we're calling o!ciel astre because i'm tired of working around his name)

in which sebastian is not particularly fond of the mandatory halloween movie night he is stuck at while the children are trick-or-treating, but this year ends up being surprisingly fun due to a minor accident.

The evening grows late, no signs of the sun are left in the sky, save for its refracted glow in the moon. It’s a dark night. Fitting, considering the occasion.

The children are out trick-or-treating, so Sebastian stays home with his current company. He is stuck with the disastrous duo of Grelle and Lau — everyone deeply regrets letting them come into contact with each other — Bard and Mey-Rin’s whirlwind of noise and broken plates, Agni and Wolfram’s oddly peaceful handling of the kitchen, and the bane of his existence, that foul fiend Faustus.

And of course, Ran-Mao, who is picking the movies, as a movie night is mandatory on Halloween. Who knew she had such a taste for bone-chilling horror? It’s always the quiet ones, as they say.

They’re ten minutes into the second movie — something about an exorcism, and the atmosphere of it alone seems to be enough to have the weakest (Wolfram, of course.) shaking in their boots — when the doorbell rings for what might have been the thirtieth time that night.

Sebastian, who is profoundly bored with the movie and admittedly has a lot more fun looking at everyone’s costumes and taking note of every flaw, immediately rises to the occasion to scare some trick-or-treaters instead.

“I’ll get it! Don’t mind me.”

“Isn’t it the fifth time in a row?” someone — probably Grelle — asks.

“Yes, and I’ll get it again anyway.”

Sebastian is at the door before any more protests rise. The sight that greets him as he opens the door is… not what he expected.

Back early with the rest of the troupe, young Elizabeth looks too solemn for a girl her age — especially one dressed as a fairy princess — as she carries little Astre on her back.

“Ah. No tricks and no treats, I see.”

“He scraped his knee,” she immediately near-shouts, stiff like a soldier reporting back with some bad news.

“I can walk,” Astre adorably grumbles in his fake beard — he had categorically refused to have a matching costume with his brother, so Ciel is a very lonely zombie constantly trying to bite and infect a historically inaccurate pirate.

“You stumbled!” Lizzy protests, with all the fuss of a pet owner for their very fragile, very small rabbit. “I couldn’t just let you walk all the way back home!”

Looking at the rest of the group while these two endlessly argue, Sebastian sees that Ciel’s eyes won’t leave his brother’s harshly scraped and very mildly bloody knee, something like a concerned frown taking over his face. He is definitely too focused on uselessly worrying to help poor Soma carry the ungodly amount of candy they’ve already managed to collect — his sense of balance is apparently quite lacking, because his magician hat, as stylish and excessively ornate as the rest of his costume, keeps falling off his head. Alois, channeling all of the elegance of a prince — vampiric though he may be — picks it up every time, possibly because he needs to make use of some of the energy his very visible sugar rush is giving him, and carrying Luka, who is the world’s sleepiest little vampire, is not enough. Little Sieglinde seems to be in the same state, truly in character for her Doc Ock costume with the say she keeps mercilessly poking at Astre’s knee with the tip of one of her crutches.

They’re quite sweet, all of them. Very loud, too. But most importantly, movie night would be interrupted for a while if the children came in, so Sebastian, out of self-interest more than care for his injured son, hushers them all in.

Sebastian spends the rest of the night wrangling a clingy Ciel and a very vocally grumpy (read: just as clingy) Astre, and observing the absolute chaos that unfolds with all of these children trying to play board games with candy betting pools. It gets worse when they try and succeed to rope everyone else in.

Although Ciel shamelessly cheats and somehow manages to get Astre to help, Ran Mao wins, of course. The quiet ones.

Mao:

Mao would probably find out about you being a street singer from someone from Trickstar! Subaru would start the conversation and Hokuto and Makoto join in!

On one of the days you’re performing, he’ll try and find you even if he has work he should be doing. Everyone needs a break from work, and Mao would happily spend a few minutes watching his partner perform!

He really likes your voice! He’ll stand there watching you perform with a grin on his face. He’ll be a little confused on why you wouldn’t tell him, but regardless, you have his (and trickstars) full support!

After your performance he’ll pull you into a hug and tell you how great your performance was! Sometimes, he won’t be able to stay long since he has a lot of paperwork to be doing but he still stays for a good five-ten minutes!

Shu:

He would be coming back from a café when he hears a familiar voice. He’d be a little confused on how familiar the voice sounds. “It sounds like them..But surely they would tell me if they were singing?” He would mutter to himself as he decides to follow the sound of your voice.

Once he realises that it is you, I think he would be a little confused on how to act. He’s very proud of how amazing your performance is going, he’ll be watching you and smiling at how elegant you sound. But he would also be confused on why you wouldn’t tell him that you’re a street performer.

If people are talking among the crowd or anything that could be distracting, he definitely glares at them, sometimes even scoffs before turning his attention back to you.

After your performance he’ll wait for you to finish up before walking over to you with a proud smile on his face. He’ll tell you how well you did, and his favourite parts of his performance.

First meeting

Yukimiya didn't know he was subconsciously manifesting a demon companion this entire time. This evening, he returns to his home only to find you cluelessly walking around the kitchen, trying to find something to eat. "Who... Who are you?" You jump in surprise when Yukimiya speaks and turn around to face him. He picked up a knife from a nearby counter. "Uhm... I'm (Y/N)...?" - "And what are you doing here?" You blink a few times, a little confused at Yukimiya's question. "Didn't you call for me?"

General headcanons

-it took Yukimiya a bit to get used to you, but after two weeks suddenly out of nowhere you became the best friends to ever exist

-but Yukimiya also quickly learned how easy you are to irritate. He always tries his best to keep you in a calm state and tries to make you feel comfortable all the time

-as much as he's curious about your horns, wings and tail, he's too afraid to ask if he can touch them. He's afraid that would make you feel uncomfortable so he doesn't even ask (you'd probably allow him to touch a little, though)

How you fell in love with each other

Although is took Yukimiya a while to get used to you, once he gained complete trust in you, he started falling for you. He always felt a little embarrassed about the fact that he fell for a demon he accidentally manifested, so he didn't confess to you. It took a few months until you started crushing on Yukimiya, but you told him very quickly after realizing what your feelings are. And that's when you started dating!

Bonus drabble (after you started dating)

For a while now, Yukimiya has thought about giving you a special present. He really wants to show you how much he appreciates you staying with him, and he also wants to express his love to you in a special way. Today, he comes home a little later than usually - which already got you worried - because he spent over an hour at the local flower shop, trying to figure out which flowers to buy for you. "Where have you been, it's so la-" You immediately stop talking when you see the flower bouquet in your boyfriend's hands. "For me?-" - "For you."

Ikki Niko

First meeting

Niko recently started watching an anime about angels and demons, which he finished just now in the middle of the night. He's sad about the anime being over, and at the same time he wishes he'd have an angel friend like the main character. That's why he tries the same summoning ritual like in the first episode, hoping it's going to work in real life as well. And it does! A part of him didn't expect it to actually work, so he jumps in surprise when he sees you for the first time.

-as an angel, you should be the clingier one. But no, it's Niko. And of course you don't mind that at all. You could talk to him for hours and hours and never get tired of it

-at first, Niko was only talking to you about anime. But after a bit he started getting more comfortable so now he talks to you about anything that's on his mind. You're the person he trusts the most

-Niko really loves how fluffy the feathers of your wings are. Even though it's normal, he gets terrified whenever one falls out and one time he even tried to glue it back on your wing

How you fell in love with each other

Niko started crushing on your very early, probably a few days into living with you. But he was always embarrassed about it, so he didn't want to tell you. But he was always blushing and when you asked about that, he had to twll you the truth. But luckily, you already felt the same way.

Bonus drabble (after you started dating)

Niko always appreciated the way you listen to him ramble about anime he likes. But he realized he didn't even know what kind of interests you have. When he finally asked you about it, he was very surprised to find out it's flower language. He secretly did a lot of research on flowers so one day, he surprised you with a special flower bouquet consisting of all sorts of different flowers because he just couldn't decide on only a few. Thanks to your angel powers, you keep them alive in their vase.

He had to work in the studio today to finish some paperworks so you had made him lunch to bring along.

Wouldn’t be able to contain his smile while unpacking the neatly wrapped bento box as he is reminded by how you handed it to him this morning with a shy smile.

He’s whipped for you frfr.

He was surprised to see a small envelope on the bento box, thinking that maybe you had misplaced it in here.

He was about to put it away but stops when he notices your handwriting on the corner of the paper saying “To: Gakkun <3”

Curiosity takes over him and he gently opens the envelope so as to not tear it before taking out the paper tucked inside and reading its content.

His face would gradually get redder while reading through the love letter.

Sure, he is your boyfriend but to receive a cute yet heartfelt love letter from you left him flustered.

He would write a letter back for you and place it on his bento box after finishing his lunch.

When he gets home, he would thank you for the food and the letter, and would ask you to unwrap the bento box.

He will stay there and watch while you read through his mini love letter because he absolutely adores your shy expressions <3

Will forever cherish the letter you gave him.

Kagami Hayato

It was lunch break in between their ROF-MAO filming process and he took out the cutely wrapped bento box you gave him this morning.

He had to ignore the weird teasing noises the other members gave him upon knowing that Kagami had brought a bento made by his girlfriend.

Unlike Gakkun, he’s quick to notice his name written on the corner of the envelope.

He decides to read the letter right then and there, which he later regrets.

The mini love letter you had written for him made his blood rush to his cheeks and ears, which unfortunately did not go unnoticed by the other members.

Though it was hard to wave them away from being too curious about the contents of the letter he was holding, he did it successfully before eating his lunch in utter silence.

Before the lunch break is over, he would quickly write back for you without his members noticing, his handwriting quite messy but readable.

Once he gets home, he would just pretend as if he didn’t receive any sort of letter from you due to his shyness.

You would also do the same, both of you never bringing up the topic yet cherishing the mini love letter you wrote for each other.

Ike Eveland

Both of you were living in the same house so he was pretty confused as to why there’s a cutely wrapped bento box on his gaming desk.

He did politely ask you if you could bring him lunch while he was streaming but why a bento?

He doesn’t understand but finds it absolutely adorable anyways.

As it was just a free talk stream, he didn’t mind eating on stream.

Was confused when he saw a small note on the bento after unwrapping it.

Hesitates if he should read what’s inside the envelope but once he notices his name on it, he decides to read it right then.

Doesn’t really get too flustered over it, but he will get a tiny bit shy.

The letter is safely placed in one of his drawers and he’s sure that he’ll never get tired of reading it over and over again.

Would remember to thank you for the letter and let you know how much he loved it.

Nina Kosaka

Just like Ike, she’s wondering if it was necessary to neatly wrap the lunch box when at home.

Would tell the viewers how adorable it is of you to wrap the bento box.

She will excuse herself and mute her mic before taking her time to read the letter she received from you.

Would call out to you to thank you for it and if you’re fine with it, she’ll tell her viewers about the letter.

Not exactly what you’ve written in the letter but she would just tell them that she received a love letter from you.
