trying to put something together, do you have any examples of the the rest of the guys in fob supporting pete? or your favorite things theyve said about him?

i've assembled a compilation of fob just generally being super protective of each other over here, but ur in luck cause i was actually trying to assemble other instances of the other guys sticking up for pete specifically because a lot a lot a lot of preh interviews usually had some question along the lines of "aren't you guys so jealous of peeeete" to which they unfailingly always said "um, no?" and i always thought that was very sweet. if you want more fodder for this you can look up basically any group pre-hiatus interview, esp ioh and folie eras. you'll see lots of drama-mongering headlines that imply the other guys are jealous of all the attention pete gets when the interviews themselves make it clear that's not really the case.

here are some of my favorite instances of the other guys sticking up for him, in the press and just in general. not specifically what you were asking about but along the same lines so i hope it helps

He didn't show it. Someone hacked his phone. My reaction was disgust at the total lack of privacy/decency. It was fans who did that. At the time I thought to myself "With fans like this, who needs fans?" Pete actually quit the band briefly over it. And was inconsolable. For like weeks. He didn't leave his house. It was really dark. I was very angry at the people who did it, but I learned to get beyond it and understand/forgive that curiosity could drive people to do such unreasonable things.

Yes, he took a picture of his penis. To send to his girlfriend. Millions of people take racy pictures every day. They just don't have their phone's memory hacked and it's contents displayed for millions of people to see.

Sorry if I sound mad. Not mad at you, just mad at culture for treating him so unfairly about it. It was none of anyone's business and people shouldn't have been so awful to him about it.

From AP magazine, 2008: Stump, particularly touched by a rare ballad, perks up. "That says something about Pete Wentz. The Pete Wentz you read about isn't empathetic enough to write a record from the perspectives of his best friends. This Pete Wentz did that. Where's that story?"

So the one time you smile for the camera, people go, 'Oh, he's a fucking ham.' That's one of the things that's really frustrating." He turns back to address AP. "It's not even something Pete has control over, the stuff that gets thrust on Pete, like the greatness or shallowness of Pete Wentz. He's neither, he's just Pete. And I think that's one of the huge things about the band. We don't rule. We don't suck. We're just a band."

From Kerrang: If you want to see Patrick Stump - who is much feistier and more outgoing than the media ever paints him as - get irritated, there are two conversation points that are guaranteed to do the job. The first is to lay into Wentz, and the second is to talk about Stump and Wentz in a way that suggests that you believe they are the Stump and Wentz that the press has them pegged as - the 'geeky, placid, talented one', and 'the arrogant, power boy, fame whore'.

"Here's the thing," Stump continues again, the words firing out of his mouth faster now. "The Pete that they made up, yeah, I don't like that Pete. I don't like the fake Pete but that's not Pete at all."

Do you like the Patrick that they've made up?

"I don't really read a lot of his stuff," he whispers from under the brim of his cap. "He's not the most interesting to me.

"People talk about how bands break up as their egos get bigger or whatever, but if anything, Pete and I are better than ever," Stump adds. "Pete and I diffuse each other in a lot of ways and we're astoundingly similar guys. I'm just as crazy as he is - there's been a lot of to-do made about him being crazy - and he's just as meticulous, orderly and polite as I am."

So you have a dark streak like Pete?

"Of course. That's the funny thing, people attach to Pete's dark side but he's the funniest and most excitable guy. He's probably, per hour, per day, more pleasant to deal with than I am."

I think they really don’t understand Pete. Pete said it, and it’s true, they make you into a wrestling character. And it’s also like reality TV editing. And then I’ll hear things from people where it’s like, “Oh your band’s great but I hate your bass player” and I’m like, then you just said you hate our band cause I don’t fucking care. He’s my best friend. Obviously he’s still in the band for a reason, it’s not like I’m waiting for someone to go “Oh yeah, you know, Pete sucks” and I’ll go like “Yes! Thank you, now he’s totally fired!” No, he’s my best friend and he’s absolutely important. He’s invaluable. I wouldn’t be here without him. I’ll hear things like, “Your voice is great but Pete’s really lame” and it’s like, well, Pete’s the only guy who got me to sing. I wasn’t a singer until Pete saw it in me. So I don’t particularly see value in me being a singer but he does and he’s always my cheerleader, trying to keep me going. So I am the musician I am pretty much because of Pete. And I’m not even saying I’m that great a musician. I’m saying if there’s anyone that thinks I am, all the thanks goes to Pete. So that’s one thing that bothers me a lot and I don’t think people really understand fully.

No, we’re pretty defensive when it comes to the way he’s been portrayed. Pete’s my best friend, I was the best man at his wedding, I love that man to death. I’d take a bullet for him. But, I hate the way that the Pete Wentz that actually exists never gets covered, it never gets spoken of. There’s so many accusations that are so ridiculous about the guy that are taken as the gospel—people just assume that he posted pictures of his penis on the internet. That is the stupidest fucking thing thing I’ve ever heard. Why on earth would you ever do that? His parents were gonna see that, come on. Have some common sense. He is actually a human being. Would you want your penis all over the internet? Probably not. He probably doesn’t either. 

This is another little interesting factoid about Pete: he quit the band. I had to talk him back into the band after those pictures got out. It nearly broke the band up he was so devastated. He had to claw his way back up from massive depression to even make fun of it.

Anyway, no, we are not jealous of him. If anything, I would want people to know the real Pete Wentz. I get the impression that people don’t really want to know him, because he’s not the bad guy on the reality show. He’s the most loyal guy I know, to a fault actually. He’s one of those guys who will never stand against his friends. Here’s an analogy. If he’s gonna make some money off shoveling coal, he’s gonna bring his friend on with him, and his friend is gonna shovel coal. If the friend’s not good at shoveling coal, Pete will shovel more coal to make sure that guy gets his share, even if the guy is doing terrible work. The guy could sit down, relax, and open up a book, and Pete’s still gonna be shoveling coal for that guy. He is the most loyal guy I know. He reminds me a lot of the portrayal of Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys just in the way that in Jersey Boys, and I don’t know if this is the true story, one of the other singers in the Four Seasons racks up this huge gambling debt and Frankie Valli is like, “We’ll pay for it, we will never ask for it back, we’ll just pay for it, he’s just gotta not do it again,” and that’s the kind of guy Pete is. I will never be jealous of him.

I am pissed at whoever stole that picture and leaked it, and for being such a douchebag and having no sense of decency or privacy."

From Spin magazine in December 2005: "I think there would be resentment toward Pete from the other three," says Janick [Fueled by Ramen founder]. "I mean, how could there not be? But I've never seen it. It seems that they're a really tight unit."

Says Hurley: "[Pete's] the most loyal dude on earth. He's never done anything that we're not a part of." Trohman agrees: "He's a Type A personality and has a lot of leader qualities. Plus, we knew he was just better at that [business] stuff."

Pete: I mean, how crazy is it that you're dating some person, but then how much crazier is it that you're in love with that person? You want them at your shows, to come and do things with you, but because of who they are, that's all people focus on. I try not to do things that are detrimental to my band but it's just unfortunate because the two clash. Joe: The rest of us in the band know that whatever comes out of the media frenzy, that people attach to Pete and his girlfriend, it isn't something perpetrated by Pete. I mean, we'll do interviews and people will ask stupid, inane questions.

What kinds of questions? Joe: Like, "Are you writing a new record? Is it going to be about Ashlee?" And it's like, "Yeah, dude, that's totally what it's going to be about. That's why we started this band, just so Pete could meet Ashlee." He loves his girlfriend, it's as simple as that. But we're just regular dudes and we just like doing our band. We didn't do this to run around and be like Pete and show our pee pees to everybody. Pete: [Laughs] Joe: We started this to be a band. The best thing about doing this band is we've got to a level where we can focus on more important issues.

I just wanted to ask, clarify, and/or talk about some things:

So first, there are the ages posts, one, has Leo be 22, and Mikey being 19, I think. I can't remember Raph and Donnie's ages, but I do remember Donnie and Raph were between Leo and Mikey in age I think. And I even think Donnie was the 2nd oldest? Which is/was cool! And/or interesting.

But now, u have the updated age post, and all the turtles are (Leo, Donnie, Mikey, and Raph that is. And Lita) are six now. And I gotta admit, I liked Leo being the eldest, and by 3 years when compared to Mikey. Since I see him as such an ultimate big bro/as the ultimate big brother. Oh well; I can still think of him like that if I want to, he defin. acts like the ultimate big brother (be it eldest and/or a just a big brother (too), and u originally had him as 22 in that other post as well.

I am also guessing in their past lives Leo may have been the oldest, than Donnie, then Raph, then Mikey? Hence where u may have gotten the ages somewhat in that other ages post?

Also, them as turtles is 6 (I think that is what u meant?)? But mutant-wise, biology?-wise, and mentally wise they are late teens and/or early-ish 20's, correct? Just to clarify?

Also; I hope they are aging normally now!

Mutant age is weird in IDW TMNT! The way animals are mutated it's like they instantly turn into adults with language skills and full cognition or whatever, as opposed to other TMNT incarnations where they mutate more gradually and age the way humans do. It makes pinpointing the Turtles' ages (and Alopex, Splinter, etc.) difficult and confusing. So yeah, when I listed their ages in that first post, I meant biologically (late teens) rather than chronologically (just a few years). Also I think the way Tom Waltz was writing the mutation it was like the characters' experience as animals was taken into account as to what their age, physicality, and cognitive level would be upon mutation (like Hob was an older cat, for example, so when mutated, his "cat years" were translated into the equivalent of human years which meant he ended up as a 30-something adult). And that's not even taking into account the psychotropic serum which would bestow human-level intelligence on a mutant, like when Slash was first mutated he was very animalistic but then when he later got the serum, it gave him instant adult-level intellect. Early in the series there was something about the serum splintering the animal's consciousness from their natural instincts (where Splinter gets his name from) but I'd have to go back and read that first arc again, it's been a while. Tom, why did you make this so confusing?!? ;)

I got the different ages from what my former editor Bobby Curnow's headcanon was, I based them off that and how the Turtles looked in their past lives like you said, yeah. And yep they are all mentally, cognitively, physically, biologically late teens, they don't actually act like 6-year-olds or anything like that. ;) And I think you're right that they (and other animal-born mutants) would be aging normally now.

This is all complicated by the fact that we're not actually allowed to give the characters specific ages in the comic, so technically and canonically the Turtles are eternally late teens, the way other comic characters like Batman or Spider-Man never actually age despite time seeming to pass within their respective universes. @_@ So I guess my original answer to the age ask is non-canon, since those ages will never actually be confirmed in the comic. I hope that all makes sense!

There's not a lot of resources for specifically pet regression since age regression overlaps with it quite a lot and so it's often paired with agere even if it is it's own thing

General regression definition is that :

Regression is when someone regresses either into a younger mindset or into an animal mindset either to cope with mental disorders or stress or it can be recreational. Regression can be both involuntary and voluntary and regression is always sfw and should not be associated with nsfw at all 🚫

Pet regression is when someone regresses into a more animal like mindstate. It's been described as feeling hazy or like one is in a dream and a lot of behaviors become more primal and tied to instinct where you're no longer really thinking like a human but more animal, not unlike a mental shift actually! But with pet regression it's usually a lot more like- softer sometimes (in my experience, can vary for everyone) and the term is called [xanimal]space or headspace instead of mental shift and you usually feel more younger than what a mental shift would feel (think of pupspace instead of a wolf mental shift). These animalistic behaviors when you're in this softer headspace can mimic other animals and for pet regression in specific, claiming a "pet-type" is taken a lot more casually than theriotypes (usually based off vibes) and so even if you may be a dog therian, you could also regress to a bunny because it just feels nice because one of the biggest reasons other people pet regress is because of the comfort it gives people so if you wanna be a little baby bunny even if it's not your theriotype because it makes you happy then go for it dude!

Also pet regression isn't just limited to domestic animals! I was a dragon regressor (among other things) and I've seen unicorn regressors on reddit

Also unlike mental shifts, most times, apart of the petre community culture is voluntarily inducing the headspace (even if it can be involuntary) by watching cartoons or looking at moodboards of baby puppies or playing puppy games and stuff.

Petre gear is honestly similar to therian gear, you have the ear headpands and the tails and collars are very common. Also chewelry and even actual pet toys. Sometimes, because of the overlap with agere, some pet regressors also use adult deco pacifiers and baby bottles.

There's honestly more I could prolly rant about but I hate being a yapper 😭 so if you have any questions, I'll answer them through ask !

In terms of community, I'd suggest maybe make a sideblog for trying out pet regression (if you want too) and look through the pet regression tags ! The tumblr regression community has always been the most active next to Instagram. There's also ageretwt / petretwt if you wanna try Twitter, also check out r/copingthruregression on reddit too

One more thing is that, because you're a minor, even if petre is mostly populated by others your age range and even if it's a sfw community, please be super careful with weirdos ! Creeps will be in every community so just yea- be cautious ! Not all adults are horrible but basic internet safety 101 and all that. Also if you end up feeling like the petre community is something you wanna delve deeper into than I would recommend not to get a caregiver or a handler just yet (cause of ur age) but it's really up to you, or if you do want to have someone take care of you like that, try and consider a close friend !

8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in I feel like I don’t lose interest in projects so much as I run out of time to do them nowadays. I had a bunch of ideas for a shortbox comics fair project and then got too busy to execute and meet the deadlines. same with some zines... I still want to do them!! Idk when though. I think this is mostly because ive been “finishing” art less lately? or like... making less small things and more singular big/complex illustrations? idk. it’s tough, I want to post more because I like posting art on the internet. I grew up watching other people post art on the internet and wanting to do the same. there’s a lot of artists who don’t like it but its fun to me. unfortunately this whole year has kind of been like a non-posting year tho.

Which doesn’t make a lot of sense to me looking at the style alone but does like...make sense in the way that I think I share similar cultural inspirations with that comic like...being online in the mid 2000s...deviantart digital art type stuff. So even if there isn’t any direct inspiration there’s some shared dna probably.   I think I’ve hard art compared to transistor (the supergiant game) too and I think its like. a similar story there. Heck, If i drew more sexy characters my inking tendencies would probably get my art compared to hades just with how big that art style is culturally rn.too bad i only draw dumb looking kids.

I’ve never played a supergiant game. they look very nice and I rly respect them as a company but they’ve yet to make smth that’s really up my alley.

Hi! First of all I wanted to thank you for the posts you've made about the racism in the TMA canon, especially in regards to the handling of Annabelle, Daisy, and Basira as characters. There were some things that always felt off to me about canon but since I'm white I didn't have much experience at putting together all the pieces. You've really helped. The idea you had of switching Basira and Daisy for Julia and Trevor is so cool too!

You've given examples of how fandom makes Jon ambiguously brown and Martin white based on (flawed) interpretations of canon personalities. I get that part, but besides it I haven't really spotted any other racism that isn't already in canon. Obviously there's additional instances of fandom racism here that I simply can't spot yet. So I'm mostly wondering if you could give any tips on how to see it? Like are there any specific tropes in TMA fanfiction, fanart, or fan analysis that are especially bad? I would hate to unknowingly hurt people with my own work.

anyway hi!! thank you for the question! definitely a lot to consider here.

in my experience, the thing with fandom racism is that it's often (though not always) hard to see in individual instances, but more something i notice in patterns and overall trends with how diff characters get treated. it's very insidious in this way, and it allows perpetrators of fandom racism to shrug off specific instances of it happening because it's not that big of a deal, you're making this about race, etc etc

fandom racism is most often visible in the treatment of white characters vs nonwhite characters (in the case of tma or other non-visual, whether that race is canon or fanon). it looks like characters of color getting called "dumb" and "stupid" more often than their white counterparts, even in the face of canon evidence to the contrary. it looks like characters of color getting shafted, ignored, or even outright villainized because they get in the way of a ship between white characters. it looks like fandoms being more than willing to write nuance, backstory, and personality into white characters when it isn't there, but never afford the same grace to characters of color, or even actively ignore existing characterization of POC in favor of focusing solely on expanding on their white faves. or excusing white characters for the same actions they villify characters of color for.

(obviously, there are more overt instances of fandom racism, but it doesn't seem like that's what you're asking about, so we'll stick with stuff like this for now)

i'm far from the first to talk about or notice these issues; there are many folks out there who've dedicated years of work and study into documenting and discussing fandom racism. stitch and saathi are two that come to mind off the top of my head, but there are many more.

an example of this from the ATLA fandom is how often I've seen sokka get characterized as "dumb" or the "himbo" of the group, when he is canonically the "plans" guy/the team strategist, and literally invents multiple complex machines over the course of the show. every character in ATLA get their dumb, silly, funny moments, but sokka, the visibly brown man of the group, is the one who constantly gets reduced to only that being a defining character trait. again, despite canon evidence to the contrary.

that's the thing, i think: it's fine to call someone dumb for a specific decision or say they did something stupid. ur not inherently racist for calling a character who happens to be nonwhite dumb. but are you reducing that to be their defining trait?

in TMA, fanon racism looks like a lot of things. it looks like people bending over backwards to create headcanon and backstory for minor white (often male) characters who really don't have all that much (og!elias, michael shelley), while completely ignoring the complex and dynamic characters of color (salesa, oliver, annabelle).* it looks like people widely depicting jon as (ambiguously) brown and then regularly referring to him as dirty, stupid, "feral," being unable to take care of himself, pathetic, etc etc.** or people comparing a jon they've portrayed as brown to animals, especially rats (genuinely, the number of times i've seen that specific comparison is insane). it looks like Tim getting broadly cast as East Asian and also broadly reduced to "dumb flirty sexual himbo" as his only character traits, even though he canonically is very intelligent (nothing wrong with being flirty or sexual, but when that is all that tim is allowed to be, that's a problem). it looks like people making excuses for characters who are killer cops, agents of a deeply violent and racist state institution. it looks like people highlighting and exacerbating the more "monstrous" traits (physical or figurative) of a brown jon while simultaneously flattening a white martin to be more pure, good, and "human" (give me more monster martin designs it's hot i prommy). or people not taking the time and care to draw their characters of color properly. it looks like people ignoring that characters like jonah/elias, daisy, basira, and peter are white supremacists. etc etc.

generally, i think it's just good to be mindful of how you think and talk about characters of color vs white characters. it's good to be aware of what your gut reaction is to a nonwhite character (canon or fanon) vs a white character in the same situation. how much agency are these characters given? are they allowed to exist as whole people, or reduced to fun memey tropes? which tropes are getting assigned to which characters? i guess insofar as tips on how to see this stuff, I don't really know how to answer that question because for me, as someone directly affected by it, i just... see it, yaknow? but these are some patterns to be on the lookout for. i think in general, just being mindful and aware of the fact that there is a discrepancy between the way fandom talks about, engages with, and treats it's nonwhite characters and white characters will go a long way to spotting those discrepancies in action.

*because i always have to clarify this, it's not a bad thing to like these characters. or to headcanon things about them. but it's frustrating to see fandom over and over again latch onto white male characters -- some of whom, like og!elias, are deliberately written to be boring (literally guys the whole point of elias is that he's a privileged white dude and that's it) -- while simultaneously refusing to engage with characters of color or offer them the same grace.

**again, nothing wrong w making jokes about characters being dumb or poor pathetic little meow meows etc etc. that's fine (in moderation). i find those funny! but like. there is certainly a line where people take it too far and completely strip POC (in this case Jon) of their agency, and act like they are completely helpless and incapable. often doubled with them needing a white character to come "save" or fix thim (in this case, often martin).

I noticed the age you wrote down and I hope you stayed away from all the mature stuff that I write. 📏🧐

1-answer: Believe it or not TWC was my first experience with IF and while I was reading it, all I could think was how bad I wanted to do something similar, like writing a story that people could interact with and make choices. So I joined the forum, learned choicescript, and started working on my very first game The Burning Sun.

2-answer: No I never wrote any non-interactive stories. Interactive fiction is my first experience with writing for the public. From what I've learned about the publishing industry, non-interactive fiction authors can have a hard time finding publishers, and I don't think I could suffer through that process, it seems intimidating.

3-answer: No I never wrote any non-interactive stories. And I don't think I could write a story where I can't give the readers the option to make their own choices. Interactive Fiction ruined it for me. 😅

4-answer: The same as you, I would say, around 14, 15. But those are stories that stayed in my diaries or notebook and were never shared with anyone else. So Interactive Fiction is my first go at making my stories public, and let me tell you I have so many of them. I hope I'll end up writing them all one day and share them.

5-answer: All the time, why do you think I have so many side stories or other projects. As a writer, you are bound to have writer's block. The thing is when it happens, just don't let it stop you and just find a way to relax, give yourself a break, and do something else that you love doing. I wish I could follow my own advice, but... when I get Writer's block, my brain just defaults to write another story. I had writer's block writing the Midnight Saga, so I went on to write Insert Rich Family because it was a story that was more light-hearted and fun. I had writer's block writing Lemons, so I went on to write The Wedding because I wanted my brain to focus on something else. And the cycle continues.

6-answer: I don't. I'm a very disorganized writer, but... I recently applied to be a writer for Heart of Choice and they asked me for a full outline of a game that I pitched them. BOI did I struggle, because when I write my stories I have no idea what chapter 2 or 3 will look like, I just sit down and write and go with the flow. Having had to make a complete outline for the full game without even knowing what it would look like was tough, but... by the end of it, I loved and enjoyed the process and I think I will apply it in my writing from now on. I think having that bit of organization will help in the long run, especially when I have writer's block.

7-answer: No... I just sit down in my kitchen and write. I have a very active brain, so I'm always thinking and always trying to get stuff done. That's why I can do like 3 months' worth of Patreon content, then take a long break because after such high, I crash, then I get high for writing again, then I crash, lol. ll that to say, it's good to take breaks when you get overwhelmed.

8-answer: It's hard to give you a great answer for this because it will depend on what you like and what you're ready to tackle. I will say that writing IF can be challenging, so if you want to start with IF, start small. Try to code a small story, with just one or two NPCs or ROs beside the MC. See how you manage the branching and the development. Don't start big because coding different branches for different interactions can spiral out. I can't really say much about the non-IF part, but I think all IF stories start as non-IF. They only become IF when you start adding choices and branches. 💕

9-answer: I've been fortunate to stay out of some drama here on Tumblr, although my first one did cause me to get blacklisted and blocked from some authors and IF recs. OG readers will know what I'm talking about, and no I don't want to dig out that drama.

I'm grateful for the followers that I have and for every reblog, like, comment, and recommendation. I feel like I'm slowly getting some recognition and that is why I can spot new readers based on their asks. Some people might think I'm new, but no. I've been here a while, just took me some time to make it to your FYP. So how do I handle overbearing or overwhelming comments or asks? If it's something that I feel uncomfortable answering, I just block and delete it. If not, I answer it the best I can because sometimes people may be asking a genuine question, but in writing it, it might come off as rude. So, it's really a case-by-case judgment.

10-answer: Yes, I'm an adult, a millennial. 😭 so old. I went to college in my home country, Haiti, and my degree is in business administration. Nothing to do with writing. My current job which I will lose soon is in Human resources, so writing is just a hobby. But I would love to be able to do this full-time.

Oh I feel that lol, ngl even nowadays I still get nervous about posting my writing, but the thing is it makes me happy to make this stuff. okay listen. I've never really thought about this cause in my head Matt's autistic and his poor interoception cancels out any major effects hot or cold weather might have on him. (not that poor interoception would actually make him invulnerable to temperature changes, that's not how being human works, but rather it would mess w his ability to REALIZE that he's being effected by the temperature changes) which makes sense to me cause he wears his suit under his clothes most of the time even when it's super hot so I'd imagine he just like. doesn't really notice it.

as far as canon goes I don't remember ever coming across anything that implies hot/cold weather is harder for him to endure. i believe he's commented on different types of weather like rain/wind and such but even then he usually talks about how it messes w his radar sense/orientation rather than whether he feels it more intensely. I imagine he WOULD (and he probably has said that but i just cant remember it) but the question is if it's enough that he feels the need to have accommodations installed into his suit or not. I'd lean towards no tbh but it's easily up for interpretation.

the reason I say no is because doing anything to counteract what hes actively feeling would fuck with his perception of his surroundings, yknow? he relies a lot on his ability to feel temperature changes in real time to gauge different elements of his surroundings.

in concern to cold weather specifically; maybe make a suit that has some kind of wind resistance? cause harsh wind stings his skin and he also hates the feeling of going numb/loss of sensation so hed do something to avoid it getting that bad. he already wears gloves and boots and more than one layer, so I don't think you'd need to add anything on. cause he's moving around so much he doesn't really need the extra layer for warmth, he'd need to be more concerned about sweat giving him a chill actually. idk how detailed ur getting w these designs but making sure the fabric is the right materials to help keep sweat off his body would be important.

this is all heavy semantics so I'll also propose a much simpler, in-canon meta joke for this solution. a large blue jacket. just. a large blue coat of any kind. this is in reference to a running joke spanning over several runs to include Matt in a blue coat whenever given the chance. it started in volume 1 and you can see examples in miller, chichester, and waids runs just to name a few off the top of my head.
