If you were asked who is the better antagonist in JJK or BNHA, who would they be? I found some similar ask that asked, "who is better antagonists between Kenjaku, Toji or Sukuna"? And what I think about is the antagonist in BNHA are cool, too.... What do you think?

I can't tell if this is a comparative question of JJK vs BNHA or just generally the best of both soooo I'll try to answer to the best of my interpretation.

⚠️ There's a spoiler warning for the below, I'm just riding the struggle bus today so assume spoilers through recent chapters.

🏆 Best Antagonist: Kenjaku

The Competition

Don't get me wrong, Mahito and Toji are certified demons too but their impact on the story is not as expansive. Admittedly, this is kind of silly considering Toji and his justified denouncement of jujutsu culture is precisely what creates the chasm that informs the greater conflicts we're currently in the midst of. Personally, I think Toji will make one more comeback on the side of the good guys, somehow. It's not outside of the realm of possibility and, based on spoilers around Chapter 236, he's been potentially alluded to as some sort of insurance. Who else's father could Gojo have been talking about unless Jin is still alive?

Regarding Mahito, I think an interesting insight into his character is buried in one of the light novels. He mentions it in the fight with Yuji to a degree to in that he's a mirror of humanity. He rampages as he sees violence in the world. But when encountered by a human at peace, he, too, found peace and his interest piqued. Ultimately, Mahito was a knife in the heart that just kept twisting but he was nothing more than a rabid dog interested in seeing what kind of curse Yuji's turmoil might bring about. How many times could he rend his soul without laying a finger on him.

Kenjaku, however, is insidious in the fact that his power spans millennia and I don't think we've seen the full exposition of his impact. With his ability to commandeer bodies, he did whatever he wanted throughout history using the bodies of countless people and why? Sick curiosity. There's no rhyme, no reason, he just wants to see how big of a clusterfuck he can make of the world and, so far, we've only seen a few of the ripples of that. He is both unpredictable and, yet, exceptionally cunning and resourceful. Who knows how many back alley deals he made with the reincarnated sorcerers. How many other cursed paintings, artifacts or vessels he forged that haven't revealed themselves. Where Toji and Mahito kinda allowed themselves to fly off the handle, Kenjaku is playing a long game of chess. I've considered whether Geto was doomed by the narrative and, I think we'll find that Kenjaku was a part of what pushed Geto to his ultimate defect to better line up his next body. Scarily, Kenjaku had the time and means to plot where that possibility isn't that far off.

Sukuna, similarly cunning, is the villain of the story with all the traditional markers of being the big bad and, seemingly, unredeemable but Kenjaku effectively could have put the whole course of events into action a thousand years ago. I also always think its funny that Gojo randomly rattles off facts from other eras/periods. I don't know that that isn't by design either.

🏆 Best Antagonist: Dabi

The Competition

I think we've seen the resolution of Toga's story and, as far as antagonists go, she added a degree of mayhem on the final battlefield when, in mourning Twice, she let forth his Sad Man's Parade. While she has the quintessential recipe of being cast aside, misunderstood and vilified on the basis of her quirk (see also: Spinner and Shigaraki), I think she more served as a device for character development or a parallel to Deku. Having found acceptance with Ochako, her current status is unknown.

Spinner really had a big moment at the hospital but namely as a pawn for AFO. He kind of waffled around, wringing his hands over whether LOV was true to Stain's vision before choosing to follow Shigaraki. But his lack of resolve coupled with a forced power up ultimately fumbles what could have been a huge win for the LOV at the hospital. Actually, Spinner probably could have been utilized better but his story was overshadowed by Shoji coming into his own. Maybe his purpose was really just to be the real time example of someone wanting to do the right thing, ending up on the wrong side, having so many opportunities to do better but sacrificing that path for whatever acceptance he found with the League.

Shigaraki is an obvious choice for villain but, we can see how tenuous his connection to villainy is. He, like the other members of the LOV, are ultimately the product of never having someone reach out a hand to help but I think we're getting closer to Deku untangling the knot of his trauma and it'll be what frees him of the grasp AFO has on him. Further, while Shigaraki was ultimately dubbed the prodigal successor of AFO, his struggle to enact a grand scheme to unite the League and the Paranormal Liberation Front, I think, is more indicative of what we've noted to be a really immature mindset. He's no diabolical genius.

Which leads me to the best antagonist, in my opinion. Ain't no vengeance like that of Touya MF Todoroki. In addition to burying the lede of his identity for so long just to build up to one magnificent, triumphant dance, Dabi's origin story is so zesty. Born into the pinnacle Haves of quirk society, he was on track to follow in Endeavor's footsteps only to have so many odds stacked against him. The right quirk but incompatible with his body. Still, he wasn't deterred and his similarly obsessive commitment to besting All Might for Enji causes him to self destruct. He winds up in AFO's clutches. Found and rehabilitated by Garaki, he dips without so much as a name only to resurface years later. Still a phantom. Still guided by his twisted need to make his father just as miserable as he was when he found out he was not sought after despite the years that passed. Not only that but, spoiler for the big Shiggy Showdown (chapter number escapes me), but he is unaffected by the reconciliation of his family. Unbothered by their pleas or the fact that he'd burned through his own skin, nerves, pain receptors, organs. He is possessed by his need to wreak havoc and he cries tears of blood to boot. This doesn't undermine the tragedy of his origin story - his stolen birthright, the inequities of what should have been his given his quirk and tenacity, the fact that at the height of his power he can't help but cry. Just like the rest of the League of Villains, he is just the product of a family who did not adequately support or care for him and a society that cast him aside. He just also happens to have grander schemes at play, the exposition of which provided a more comprehensive understanding of hero society and its failures which was Shigaraki's desire all along to shift the whole paradigm. What sets Dabi apart from other antagonists, in my opinion, is that there really aren't villains in MHA. Just people waiting to be moved by how earnest Deku is or rehabilitated by their own recognizance. This is as it applies to Stain, Gentle Criminal, La Brava, Lady Nagant and even Overhaul (so I won't bother going into them individually). But Dabi stays 10 toes down on his commitment to madness. I'm still uncertain whether his charred corpse will actually see redemption but it stands to be seen.

All For One is of course the irredeemable demon lord and I'm not sure the power of friendship is going to affect anything there.

Winner Take All

Best Antagonist: Kenjaku. This largely stems from my belief that, despite his death in recent chapters, we're going to get additional exposition into his depraved dealings or another layer of his plans that lays in wait and is ready to devastate us all. The possibilities there are endless with the way the story oscillates from present to past.

Bonus, Best Villain: Gege Akutami. They know what they did.

Wendy and Vaati share pretty freely. Crystalline is quite possessive but can be persuaded to make a trade fdsahkjfdhsakj

Crystalline is the easiest to tease. There's a brief period after everything before both Mipha and Urbosa make their moves on their respective future partners, and in that time Crystalline is quite a mess about Mipha. Though, honestly, Wendy is really only trying to be encouraging, Crystalline takes it as brutal teasing and retaliates.

And so Wendy must bear the brunt of excessive teasing about Urbosa XD so we end up with both of them flustered out of their minds over Women.

If/when Vaati gets a crush, he's going to get teased by both Wendy and Crystalline. Crystalline is trying to fluster him to death while Wendy is interested in the slightly gentle version of that and of wingmanning for him- HEWKJHFKJEW

Crystalline and Vaati do enjoy sparring together quite a bit, even if it looks competitive and aggressive. It's a way that they can connect (and no one else can really keep up except perhaps Link) without words.

Wendy and Vaati like to sit in scenic locations and chat, maybe while having a picnic! Just relaxing and catching up!!!

Wendy and Crystalline...why is this the hardest one KJFHEKJWHF they have such disparate interests. Cooking (Kakariko recipes especially), even if they fight the entire time. Any Sheikah rituals (like prayer) that they grew up doing together. I think they enjoy engaging with Sheikah culture and Kakariko together. Habit in many ways.

let’s talk about how you got into this situation in the first place, huh?

when you first met the two, dabi was the easiest to hang out with on the surface

he was easy to talk to,,, if talking meant endless teasing about almost everything: whether height, style, etc.

and shigaraki was your boss! he’s busy doing all the planning and,, whatever leaders of a top tier villain group do

the only big interactions you all had were during the dirty work—and it was only a few passing sentences at most

it was like that for a solid week

it was only during a certain big mission where you let your quirk really shine that things started to change for you three

seeing the power you held plus having to deal with you passing out randomly is what started you and them to interact in more “meaningful” ways

and by meaningful, i mean:

dabi: “so. really powerful quirk that backfires on you a lot physically too? niceeee wanna grab some ramen or something?”

shiggy: “oh shoot i kinda just hired you cause you looked cool but you’re actually hella strong you wouldn’t mind sticking around right—?”

that’s basically how it went down afterwards

and dabi and shigaraki didn’t normally get along that well—they argued every minute they were together—so you became the glue in this,,, well, whatever this thing was

it took some getting used to, but once you three got comfortable,,,

i feel back for the public

there is a new trio out on the streets and there is about 0.01% chance of stopping them

shiggy hunts down the people and makes the threatening monologues as a villain leader does, dabi makes the dramatic entrance and the first few warning hits on the people, and you finish the people off if they don’t comply

the lov learned to appreciate what you brought to the table real fast, despite the disadvantages your quirk had

also can’t have the powerhouse of the league go dying so kurogiri supplies you with iron pills \(//∇//)\ we stan the only member with brain cells

and toga tries to give you vials of blood

okay i had a whole google doc that i wrote a buncha shit but imma try to CONDENSE it and make my ideas more clear bc there was some wishy washy in there. BUT dabihawks ice skating au bc im gay for that shit. all of it under the cut bc this shit is gunna get LONG. buckle in fuckers. SO fair warning before we begin. i know shit about ice sports. im like 1) not THAT educated nor have i legit participated though ive always wanted to and 2) this is just self indulgent so like if i dont get shit right or whatever dont come at me bro. im here to have FUN and live a bit vicariously. also as for location of all this shit i dont know and dont care and am american so my perspective on things are skewed. anyway cw: abuse mention

so dabi (touya) is a previous figure skater

he’s a figure skating prodigy 

enji was a pro hockey player (id say figure skating but this man was BUILT like a brick shithouse idk man) has a lot of championships under his belt but doesnt even begin to touch the legacy of his one sided rival yagi toshinori

him and rei meet and marry at a young age. she like.. actually liked him then?? shit was kinda okay but things kinda.... got bad quick. the abuse etc was ... yeah. she ends up having dabi and fuyumi (they’re twins babeyy) at a young age too and kinda doesnt feel like she can get out of her horrible marriage 

we wont dwell too much on the bad part of all of this though. anyway rei was a figure skater

p well known and known for her fucking GRACE god she moved so well on the ice.

she was so beautiful and spoke through her movements and enji loved that... and so as a hockey player and with a (now previous) figure skater wife he was like aight my kids WILL take up an ice sport and be the FUCKING BEST

dabi isnt made for hockey. enji tries to get him into it but it’s... nah... fuyumi isnt the best with figure skating. she’s good!! and her and dabi do some pair skating when they’re younger but it’s.. hm. dabi is the one with the clear talent here. (fuyumi is a beast on the ice when it comes to hockey though. will dominate. but she kinda... didnt really continue with it)

enji isnt PLEASED that his son isnt gunna be a hockey player but he still values figure skating and will fucking make sure he’s the BEST at it. and so the brutal training starts. he gets some good coaches and also takes up the coaching mantle 

the thing is.. rei was amazing as a skater but her body just... wasnt really made for all of that??? and dabi unfortunately kinda inherited that. his body hates the impacts and such. he’s amazing at figure skating. he has a grace similar to his mothers but there’s something more fierce to him. 

and honestly !!! he gets far!!

also natsuo comes around. he’s a bit too clumsy for either sport and resents the fact that him and fuyumi are neglected by their father. he also loves touya and gets so pissed seeing his brother so hurt

and shouto is born and this kid was made to be on the ice. he’s skating from the moment he can fucking stand on his own.

obvs enji’s attention is split but it’s mainly on touya who is winning championships and GOING places but it’s still not good enough

anyway idk how far he goes?? but it’s the biggest competition yet and on ice mid routine he lands wrong

one thing leads to the next and he’s pretty much medically retired from a young age. he can skate. he can still kinda preform but he cant do what he used to at ALL and he cant keep up with the brutal pace enji sets. there’s a lot of trying to push him still and it’s just.. not happening

for all it’s worth dabi is kinda glad he isnt doing it anymore. but he fears for his babies brother. shouto is a natural and while yes being a professional athlete of any sort is brutal on your body, his body is a lot more capable

but like touya before, shouto is pushed to his absolute limits. bleeding and injuries and puking his guts out from being pushed too far

there’s a lotta resentment but he still pushes through w skating. 

(side note but there DEF is some todomido/tododeku w hockey player izuku who ends up being coached by THE yagi toshinori and who helps shouto out w making shit his own)

anyway so in the end dabi ends up working at a rink tho lol

it’s p much owned by shigarai and run by the lov (who in this au end up making their own little ragtag unofficial local hockey team p much and play games against other teams like them)

despite his father’s whole career, dabi does enjoy playing hockey with these dipshits

but yeah he enjoys his time working at the rink, fucking around and sleeping in random places and sometimes running the zamboni

he’s also best frenemies with shigaraki. they get along and both deal with a shitty upbringing and despite some slight animosity they both would kill if someone fucked w the other 

(also at some point dabi DEF teaches some little kid classes lol)

also dabi does sometimes skate his own routines from time to time. only when he’s alone really. though fuyumi has a pass to be there though he will gripe still

SO HAWKS AM I RIGHT??

now there is a couple ways to go with this and somewhere in me there is an au with hockey player hawks who takes skating lessons from figure skater dabi BUT

i think for this au we’ll just say he was a figure skater from the get go

i think he WANTED to do hockey as a kid. like shouto he’s also a fucking natural and was skating as soon as he could fucking stand and walk. and he looked up to enji and kinda wanted to take up hockey but 

listen,,, trans hawks. who wanted to be like todoroki enji and be a pro hockey player. shit just.. didnt work like that though and besides he’s a tiny dude and god he’d be fucking obliterated 

he kinda is self taught and the ice is his escape from his shitty home life

idk how this works but listen gotta tie in the commission somehow???

he’s scouted or whatever for figure skating at a very young age and his mom is happy to take the heavy scholarships and happy to sign him over to skate for these ppl and have them push him to be The Best

and this kid is FAST. he’s fast and is insane with his jumps and stg it almost looks like he’s FLYING (which gets him the nickname hawks)

the coaches are brutal and shit sucks and a lot of the time it kinda sucks the life out of the sport but he still enjoys it

he has a love for outfits that legit have flare to them (also im thinking of johnny weir’s one outfit w the feathers but yknow instead of white they are RED) and while he does do routines to boring ass music he mainly likes doing shit different (also dabi was p much forced the whole time to do shit to that boring ass music but on his own he’d use his own music taste to skate to)

and he’s good!! he GOES places. he’s like makes it to the olympics at a young age and is one of THE youngest gold medalists for figure skating

im sure somewhere along the line him and dabi DID meet. it was at some competition and hawks was VIBRATING bc there’s ENJI and he wants and autograph and oH GOD IS THAT HIS SON??? he’s HOT. (and at this time dabi still had his red hair and like no piercings and what little ones he had they were out but this dumbass will not recognize him later on)

but god he needs to chill TF out or he will fuck up in the competition 

he hears about dabi’s whole accident and like feels for him but again it’s not like they were friends. there was more of a slight rivalry and they barely spoke if they did

but so idk like.. between seasons hawks finds himself going like nearly every day to this rink.. aka shigaraki’s rink (also sidenote but lbr it’s really run by shirakumo who kinda has to fucking herd the cats w this group)

as frenemies dabi and shigaraki share their distaste for some of these pro athletes (tho some get a pass) and kinda complain about hawks a bit tho like..... shigaraki cant complain TOO much bc of the money from hawks renting out the rink for a few hours almost every day

dabi is too gay for this shit when he actually sees hawks in action. rip him 

tbh they dont really interact tho (besides dabi telling him to gtfo the rink or he’ll run him over with the zamboni) until one day that hawks catches dabi skating

he was done and should have been gone but he forgot something on the bleachers and then he sees dabi and.. oh boy he’s GAY AF

and also dabi is RLLY GOOD???

and so hawks makes a FOOL of himself and startles the poor guy and p much presses all the wrong buttons w asking why he doesnt compete or something

and i mean im sure they had some SLIGHT progress w talking before. nothing significant but god the walls go RIGHT THE FUCK UP and dabi is pissed

tbh dabi was gunna get to the point where he LEGIT talked to him and maybe lowkey asked him out (he says this but shigaraki calls his bluff) and now there is no way. he storms off and tries to avoid him so hard

and hawks tries to corner him a bit but after some time he does manage to corner him and be like pls just let me take you out to dinner to make up for that shit????

aaand dabi accepts bc listen okay he cant say no to free food ??? like he’s kinda pissy w this guy but also.. listen he has EYES

Roman: over hypes everything but its amazing bmgmkdkdf. Killing a fox for food? BoOM game beat!!! Beating one of the divine beasts? Best gamer ever 11/10 how do you do that with so much skill??!??? He occasionally backseat games but tries not too. He gets very into it and shouts a bunch and it hypes me up as well mbmbmgmr. He loves watching me play and gladly plays with if its co-OP. He tends to get very competitive about it and challenges and dares me to do many different things in the game like gliding a certain distance or trying to beat one of the really complicated shrines. He encourages me to try again if I fail and rewards me in kisses if i get past it. He likes to snuggle a lot when I play and makes a whole "set-up" which is really just a pile of pillows and blankets X3. He also loves shield surfing by a lot.

Logan: isn't chaotically big on gaming but he doesn't mind watching it while I play. I've tried getting him to play a few games sometimes and he's really good at things that require aim and timing but doesn't understand how human-like characters can survive taking hits from one of the divine beasts entities and other unrealistic things, though it's a game so he doesn't expect it to be anything realistic. He's normally quiet while a play but will give small praises and words of encouragement if I get past a tough part or don't think I can beat something. He likes to help me during troubling parts when I have them. I forgot what they were called but he loves the tasks with the little leaf mask guys that give you the golden drops mvmfkdkf. He lovesssssss doing the shrines.

Patton: "HEEY NONONONONO DONT KILL THAT DEER THERES PLENTY OF APPLES ON THE TREE" "But the apples dont give me enough health or any stat boosts!!!" "BUT THE POOR DEER" he doesn't like it when I have to hunt- or the majority of the fighting bits. He suggests I befriend the robots while they actively shoot at me and obviously that's not how the game works but it's really cute and innocent and I couldn't get mad at hiiimmmmmm. He loves when I climb mountains and get different views or doing side quests to help NPCs or riding the horses and such uwu. He likes cooking up different recipes even if it requires hunting to get some of the stuff for it. When I first showed him the leaf sword that blowed wind and how you could push around wooden sail boats and ride them he did that for the next hour and looked too happy for me to stop him hehe. He likes playing around with the tools as well like building the ice pillars or moving around the metal objects and such. Many many many dorky puns along the way and I love every one of them. Poor bby is scared of the divine beasts demons

Remus: the second, and I mean the very exact second he learned I could create fire in the game, he immediately begged me to go and burn everything in sight. I can't resist his puppy eyes and burnt a forest and several animals mghhgmgmggm. He loves shield surfing down really steep and long mountains and launching Link five thousand feet to his death. He cackles the whole time cause he's a dork. He likes watching me fight the different robots and the raid battles of the goblins. He loves testing out the different weapons especially the fire weapons that burn everything or the bomb arrows.

Janus: lowkey also enjoys murdering everything insight. He likes pushing the limit of Link's stamina and climbs up all the tall mountains and glides around as long as he can. He likes a lot of the side parts like sight viewing and exploring the different towns and buildings. He likes to shower me in praises while I'm playing. He occasionally asks if he can play and I let him and it's fun to watch him figure out the controls and try different attempts at things. A lot of the times and snuggle up to me in a position that stops me from playing the game properly so I have to give him affection and I love him a lot for it.

Virgil: if theres a slightest change in the music him immediately takes note. He also pays attention to the autosave cause he noticed it only saves when something bad is about to happen. He likes to take it easy and not have to worry about things like health or stamina and such so he enjoys focusing on the side quests or trying to cook up different recipes. He thinks the different types of arrows are cool and he also enjoys doing the little quests for the "leaf people" cause the quests are always fun and simple. He asks a lot of questions about the game and it's fun to answer them and tell him different bits about the game and such. He really enjoys watching me play though uwu.

Emile: He enjoys many aspects of the game but most of the games aren't really his taste, he mostly watches them cause he likes seeing how I play and the little bits of the game that I enjoy. He comments a lot on the game and stuff and really likes the story of it and collecting the lost memories for Link. The killing doesn't bother him too badly but it still bugs him a teeny bit. He loves that it's such a big map and exploring every little section of it. He lowkey isn't the best at games especially ones that require fighting so he's always amazed when I do certain bits in the game that looked really challenging. Very bubbly the whole time and likes helping out and doing the quests for the NPCs. He loves all the different things you can do in botw and has trouble focusing on just one little bit about it. The divine beasts spook him a little but not too badly. He likes buying the different clothings and armor and riding around on the sand seals is one of his favorite parts about it

It was all Spinner’s fault. They were all just chilling in the bar like normal, as content as one could possibly be while planning on how exactly to cause mayhem and disrespect the law, when he just had to ruin the peace.

“So…….. Shigaraki. You’re a guy of good taste right? Like, you like video games? Do you, y’know…. have Mario Kart?” The group fell completely silent (actually it was still quite noisy, but the rushing noise in Tomura’s ears made that hard to notice) and tension filled the room (although at this moment the only one truly tense was Shigaraki himself, not that he managed to notice). This wasn’t just an innocent question, no; it was a Challenge, a provocation, a declaration of war. A war Tomura intended to win.

“Do you really want me to answer that question?” Spinner nodded in response, an ignorant grin lighting up his face as he failed to notice the fire igniting behind Tomura’s eyes, “Alright then, it’s fucking on.”

Of course he had to ask that.

Way to fucking go, Spinner.

And so, The Tournament was created.

So much had been put into this night, and Tomura knew it was going to be perfect; after all his planning, it had to be. If this battle was to be done, it had to be done right. After all, what was the point to utterly eviscerating the competition if he hadn’t an audience?

And the day had finally arrived.

The stage was set, Tomura meticulous in work. He had a wide variety of gaming systems, but extra controllers were needed; quickly he went to enlist Kurogiri in stealing some, the prospect of team bonding enough to get the misty man onboard with his plans while he shed a tear of pride. Tomura even went and cleaned a room so that they would have the perfect gaming arena in which to declare victor. Stolen beanbag chairs gathered around a large screen, couches and a small table where snacks would go in the background for the spectators, a pile of cheetos and doritos with bottles green tea and mountain dew to wash them down.

Perfect.

The time to fight was nigh, and Tomura was confident he would prove himself superior. After all, was the realm of games not his main domain? Yes, today he would indisputably prove his worth, and no one would dare question his authority.

While the sky was overcome by purples and deep blues, the sun finally leaving them from the night, Tomura let himself focus on the screen before him. It was his moment to shine, now, and nothing would get in his way. Even as the rest of the league filtered into the room, making their usual annoying and useless comments, Tomura let his heart and soul bond with the controller within his hands. Even while his colleagues gathered around him, picking up their own controllers and buzzing with excitement, Tomura felt nothing but a rush of calm. This might just be the most important trial of his life, but he would surpass it. He would fight.

He would win.

And so all players had entered the arena, gathered together and prepared for what was to come. It was finally time to fight. It was his time to shine, his...

“Tooomura, Tomuraaaa, can I pick the track thingy? Please, pretty please?”

Himiko grinned, looking over at her boss while the character selection page flashed onscreen. Shrugging, Tomura let himself focus again on the tv in front of him, “As long as we end on Rainbow Road I don’t really care.” And that was the end of his short and useless discussion, one not enough to distract him, but still startling him out of his trance.

Once everyone was ready, and Toga had her fill of flipping through the tracks as quickly as possible during her very professional and thoughtful selection process, Tomura let himself finally ease into things. He was gonna kick their n00b asses.

3… 2… 1… GO

Yeah, someone was probably going to die by the end of the night.

Two rounds had gone by in the blink of an eye, and Tomura was more confident than ever. Two rounds, and Tomura easily won them both. Already it was more than clear who reigned superior, so now all Tomura had to do was show one final time just who was in control. It was time for his final victory.

Half of the league had given up at this point, content to watch and joke around at the expense of those still playing rather than be involved themselves; some time within the first two rounds, Kurogiri and Mr. Compress had left to get more snacks, Twice was making a gripping commentary of all of the competitors moves, and magne had switched to being Toga’s personal cheer squad as part of their LOV Lady Solidarity Group. And so four were left to play.

In a few minutes time, there would only be One victor. Tomura would make sure he was the only one left with any pride. He would prove himself.

Everyone watched with bated breath as rainbow road filled the screen, their characters lighting up the dim room as the intro sequence quickly passed them by.  And then it was starting. The moment of truth.

All four players gave into the moment, bringing their focus on the screen as their characters started to move onscreen.

Toga was a laughing, maniacal mess as she leaned forward, uncaring as Bowser kept falling into oblivion; last place gave her what she truly wanted: a chance to blow up everyone in front of her, willingly giving up her chance at victory as a sacrifice for joy and general mayhem.

Spinner was intensely emotive, glaring at the screen as Luigi kept around 2nd to 3rd place and yelling out every time he fell behind. He wasn’t winning yet but he still had time to turn things around, Shigaraki wouldn’t know what had come for him.

Dabi, as infuriatingly attractive as ever, was lazily sprawled across the beanbag chair, seemingly uncaring of what was happening to Toad onscreen as he reached into a bag of chips despite actively playing.

Tomura, though, was unlike the others. There was quiet intensity behind his eyes, a hypnotic presence surrounding him as he put his soul into every press of his fingers, eyes glued to the screen as he sat, unmoving. The very air around him started to still, caught in the moment as he sped past everyone friend and foe alike, ready to finally have his success confirmed. It was the final lap now and not even the cheering, laughter, and incitive comments from the audience was enough to distract him.

Allowing a smug grin to stretch across his face as the finish line came into the distance, he continued to speed forward. This was it. His moment.

In one glorious second the heavens parted, leaving Tomura to bask in the smug certainty of triumph; finally he could prove himself superior, reaffirming his role as leader and supreme, as the one truly worthy of power, as not only the best gamer but the best person, as-

FUCK. No, no, fuck, it couldn’t be, it wasn’t possible,

“WHO the FUCK….Did you just fucking,,,,,, did you BLUE SHELL me?!?”

A silence fell over the room as Shy Guy fell into the oblivion below, the corner of Tomura’s screen blinking from 1st to 2nd, from 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th. The moment Toad crossed the finish line, declaring him the Winner, a scream could be heard throughout the building, past the street, infecting the world as Tomura exploded in rage. Far off in the distance, several young heroes lifted their heads in confusion as they felt a disturbance in the force. Something terrible had just happened...

And Dabi was so fucking dead.

Like the little bitch he was, Dabi simply laughed at Tomura’s rage, grinning lazily as he waved his controller in front of Tomura’s reddening face and taking delight in the way Tomura’s glare washed over him. “What, you not manage to predict this, creep? And here I thought video games were your ‘thing’.” Tomura took a deep breath, collecting the hatred washing through him.

“Fuck. I’ve tried to be a good leader, but this….. this I can’t forgive.”

That was the only warning before a blur of black and pale blue sped over to Dabi’s laughing form, knocking him against the ground in a rush of righteous rage. It was a mess, many innocent beanbags lives’ being lost in the carnage. But Tomura couldn’t worry about that, his pride was on the line here. That little shit Dabi just thought he could go and steal his victory, and not only that, but he was so fucking rude about it! Dabi wasn’t even trying to win, he spent the whole time making shitty comments and throwing doritos at people (although in retrospect, he always was getting 2nd place wasn’t he?), and yet here he was taking what should have been Tomura’s.

And this wasn’t even something new! Dabi was always there, being an ass and making Tomura get all flustered and uncertain. But this, this was the fucking limit. There was a point where Tomura could take no more, ignore no further transgressions. Dabi stole his moment. It was only fair that Tomura steal something of Dabi’s in return. Something of equal value…. something like Dabi’s life.

The two rolled across the floor as Tomura reached towards Dabi’s exposed skin, hoping to finally have a solid touch; everyone else had stopped to watch the spectacle, unsure whether to step in. “Stop fighting back you piece of shit, I’m only trying to kill you!” Tomura growled, reaching for Dabi’s throat before being flipped, breath fleeing his lungs as he was caged between a crispy asshole and the unforgiving ground.

Lurching forward Tomura moved to headbutt him, hoping to loosen his grip so he could kill the raisin-looking fucker already. But despite his clearly outstanding strategy skills and tactical prowess, Tomura made a small miscalculation. When their foreheads met Tomura himself fell back, Dabi falling atop him as he groaned in pain and released his wrists. But that wasn’t the problem.

Dabi was directly on top of him, pressed against every inch of him, and, shit, this couldn’t be happening, did he just-

Opening his eyes, Tomura looked into the glowing blue hovering above him. The heat from Dabi’s breath ghosted over Tomura’s lips, reminding him of how the roughness of Dabi’s own felt against his. Dabi slowly pushed himself away with a smirk, taking in how Tomura was blushing, frozen beneath him.

“Wow, creep, if you wanted to kiss me you shoulda just said something. Who knew you were so bold.” His voice was as deadpan as his usual disinterested gaze despite the faint blush spreading across his cheeks, but for a moment a touch of emotion leaked through. Probably just cruel amusement, trying to make fun of Tomura as usual. What else could it possibly be?

“You….. I didn’t… what,” Tomura blinked rapidly, trying to process the turn of events.

Giggling, Toga and Magne shared a grin. “Should we leave? They seem to be having a moment.” Glancing around, everyone seemed to understand eachother, a visceral need to escape rising in their hearts. The rest of the League quickly fled the room, but the two boys on the floor hardly noticed, too distracted by the sudden magnetism of the moment.

Dabi smirked from above, raising an eyebrow to distract from the blush spreading across his own cheeks and down his chest.

“So. You gonna keep staring, or are you gonna kiss me again?”

“Was that a challenge, you crispy shit?”

Glaring up at him with a sharp light in his eyes, Tomura yanked Dabi downwards, messily smashing the mouths together in a flurry of lips and teeth. After a few moments Dabi grinned against him, pulling away to teasingly leave fluttering kisses along his jaw before Tomura yanked his hair to bring their mouths together once more. It was nice, despite everything, and Tomura felt himself melt into Dabi’s touch. This was clearly just another challenge, a new level where he could show Dabi who was boss, but still...

Maybe Tomura did win something after all.

Spinner let a single tear slip down his face, staring forlornly at the abandoned gaming system. He didn’t even get to finish playing…

Letting his hand softly caress the screen, he walked away with neon light haloing his silhouette. Tomura’s tantrum may have ruined it this time, but there was still hope. He wouldn’t let this be the end.

“I’ll come back soon, Mario Kart… we’ll play again, I promise.”

The darkness of the room didn’t respond.

Recently, she been in a long distance (like halfway across the world long distance) relationship with this guy who is, apparently the "cure" to her depression and anxiety, and who she guilts into getting back together with her every time he breaks up with her because he hates long distance. I honestly could not deal with it anymore, and decided to take a friend break for a while. I feel like, if I have nothing good to say to her and will always just be silent instead of saying something harsh but necessary, there no point in talking to her at all anymore. However, once you discarded and found what you need/don need and like/don like you can also then start to consider swapping out items in the future. For example, I have a shirt I need but it a bit dull and I don love it. As soon as I find one that has the same function but brings joy, I will buy it and discard the other with thanks.. Abilities:

Hunting: As she was part of the huntresses of her tribe in the Sagolii she is quite capable of all the hunting stuff - tracking, traps and even survival. Though this is only true to the desert. Some of those skills she can adapt to hunting in other climates and areas. But there she is not as skilled as back in her homeland - Thanalan. After all she is a desert cat and probably will always be.

Survival: Not only did she learn how to survive as a huntress, but after the Calamity she fled her tribe and was alone for a long time. So not only did she survive the Calamity, but also survived being alonge for quite some time in the desert. Once again these skills are mostly true in desert or arid climates and regions. In other she might be a better survivor than many, but there are still lots of things she does not know. Especially in greener forests she might have a harder time with many plants and animals she is not used to. But she also learned to survive in the big city during her time in Ul’dah and also the Gold Saucer. Back alleys are no problem for her.

Archery: She is quite capable with her bow though she is a little out of practice, since the last time she was truly using it was before and shortly after the Calamity as a huntress. She might still hit the mark, but she used to be a better shot - especially from chocobo back.

Singing: Strange as it may sound she sings quite well - if forced to or if nobody is watching. This is something she likes to hide as everything she likes to do.

Chocobo racing and caring: Even during her time in the Sagolii she was used to riding chocobos which came in handy later, when she was offered a job as chocobo jockey for the races at the Gold Saucer. Even though she was not bad before that time she truly learned how to ride at the Gold Saucer. Though she never really excelled she is not bad either. Also she is capable of tending a chocobo with all the needs of “those pesky birds”.

Hobbies:

Brawling: Got a problem? Solve it with the fists! Mimi likes to talk with her fists. She has gotten herself many times into trouble because of this. Because she is easily angered and cannot hold her temper this is no rare occasion.

Gambling: Mimi has got a teeny-tiny gambling problem. She loves to gamble, she loses a lot and does not know when to stop. I probably do not have to explain this any further, right?

Smoking: A good tobacco (or whatever they smoke in Eorzea) is very soothing for Mimi. She likes the taste of it and the taste of the money of which this usually smells.

Most Positive Trait: Even though one might not suspect it she is loyal to a fault.
