Cheers to youth- This song instantly became my top vu song. The upbeat instrumentals compliment their voices sooo well. It reminds me of a coming of age anime op (for example Hikaru Nara- Goose House) and the message about being kind to yourself since it’s your first time listening is so sweet🥺

Spell- Let’s get into it! Love how sultry it is and something about it reminds me of south african music which I love (Tyla or Tswala Bam beats yk). I love when pfu does sexy concepts and the choreo is exactly how I imagine it would be godbless. Hoshi really stood out to me, he really has so much charisma. Also, I have to laugh at Dino taking off a jacket to reveal that theres another jacket. These men will always be borderline shirtless but never topless LET THEM BE SEXY THEYRE ALMOST 30😭

Maestro- DARKTEEN IS BACK!!!!! The performance is really cool, very difficult choreo but they pulled it off. I do love that they use props like the baton to show they’re controlling the members. The song sounds very svt, especially reminding me of getting closer, fearless and hit era. Also this song does give me old boy group vibes like block b which is nice but it’s still a very fresh sound.

Lalali- The beat is interesting. Wonwoos part is my fav. I love how aggressive he sounds and I love the callback to monster. I did watch videos of the performance and Mingyu really shined out to me. I still find it hilarious that they banned this song cus Vernon said fuck.

You know, I definitely have music in mind when writing some FL Roleswap scenes! I don't have many specific songs picked out for bosses yet (other than Bandee but that's in the distant future), but I got lots for the characters and other future scenes :3

Here's one that I LOVE- I like to consider this absolutely beautiful remix of "Welcome to the New World" by Hotline Sehwani and Dream Kittu, the "main menu" or overall theme song of the Forgotten Land Roleswap. It almost feels like the opposite of the upbeat, optimistic, power-driven feel of the original like in canon. Its peaceful, contemplative, yet determined feel really puts me in the shoes of the swapped heroes as they navigate the Forgotten Land :)

Goodnight Splatoon 1's server's and thank you for everything.

I remember seeing the first trailer for Splatoon. At first I wasn't interested at all... a shooter game? Not my style of game play... But then I kept watching and wow... I just got so captivated by what I saw that it was the first game I had ever pre-ordered that wasn't a Pokemon game. I used to do something called the "24 hour challenge" something that no one else but me did because I made it up. I would stay up the full 24 hours for Splatfest for the first handful of Splatfests and play the wholeeeee time. Or at least until my brother wanted to play and I'd take a nap, haha. That stopped once school started up again but those memories of my 24 hour challenges are still ones that I hold close to my heart. My first real Splatoon friend was Nick! We would play the new stages together in recon as soon as they would come out and we were both online. We still talk and I'd still consider him one of my closest friends. Thanks for sticking with me all these years Nick, I appreciate you more than words could ever express. I've made more Splatoon friends over the years and I'm happy to have every single one of you. Here's to the future!
