Draal, reading a recipe: "Beat three eggs." In what? Hand to hand combat?
Jim: GET. HIM. OUT.

Once Kanjigar said to his son "don't let any female sit on your head", but Draal was too busy looking at Nomura so he didn't remember his father's words and did that one mistake. Well, it's not that bad like it could be
While sketching it I couldn't stop my pain screams because SIZE DIFFERENCE IS SO HARD SHHSHDHDHDHD I LOVE IT BUT I HATE TO DRAW IT

Hi! What do you think of an au where Claire never came back home after the events of First Frost, so everyone thinks she was kidnapped or ran away, maybe Blinky and AAARRRGGHH found her, so she ends up doing her Trollhunter duties alone, basically living in Trollmarket, but the other kids still get involved in some way?
Oh Anon we are so on the same wavelength, because First Frost was originally supposed to be a lot shorter, with this premise, when I started out.
So I’d say she officially ‘disappears’ in eighth grade, giving the kids time to bond and form a kind of coherent group, so when she does actually disappear it leaves a bigger impact than just right off the bat after Jim and Toby met her.
By the beginning of Sophomore year she’s still missing, and it’s assumed she’s either a runway or kidnapped but there’s not much evidence to back that, her parents are left in a state of disarray, Enrique is still born but he’s yet to meet his older sister.
Around Halloween Mary throws out the idea of heading to a party, it doesn’t end the way they hope.
They’re targeted by Bular, who believes the amulet has chosen a human due to the human stature this new Trollhunter has, he’s wrong of course but by the time the kids are cornered the real Trollhunter shows up, it’s impossible to tell who it actually is due to their helmet, which covers their face, but the five escape Bular’s ire.
Then Blinky and Aaarrrgghh show up after the attack, the Trollhunter tries to brush off the idea but the kids are taken down to Trollmarket for their protection until sunrise and basically given a rundown of why they were targeted.
Claire hasn’t actually told Blinky and Aaarrrgghh the full truth about her situation, as in she didn’t explicitly admit she ran away from home. Still she’s been living with them in Trollmarket.
The more Jim and co learn about what’s been going on under the surface of their town the more they begin to think that maybe Claire was attacked by Bular, or taken by the Janus Order. Blinky tries to dissuade them of the fact, because one, he knows where their friend is, and two, he doesn’t want them recklessly endangering themselves and gaining Bular’s ire again.
Claire won’t actually interact with her friends, due to the immense guilt she feels, and she’d left to keep the people she cared about out of Trollhunting specifically, now she’s still managed to involve them.
They’re rarely allowed into Trollmarket though, as Vendel disapproves immensely of their presence, it takes time but he eventually warms up and allows sparing visits so they can get more information from Blinky and Aaarrrgghh. Claire purposefully avoids the library at those times.
Barbara is the first parent to find out, after the four are given a Gaggletack for the surface, tipped with the threat of Changelings.
Strickler has an awkward dinner interruption after Jim manages to hit his shoulder to say the least and ends up fleeing, unable to face Jim and Barbara, the bridge is still being constructed in the museum.
Soon after Mary’s moms, Darci’s dad and Nana are brought into the situation, they hesitate the tell Nuñezs their daughter may have been an unfortunate victim to the creatures underneath their town. They’ve already been grieving their daughter for almost three years..is false hope really necessary?
By the Battle of the bridge the kids aren’t present for the fight, only Draal, Blinky, Aaarrrgghh and Claire are there, she frimly denies involving her friends in the fight.
Bular is killed by her alone, his mangled stone corpse left in the canal as a warning for any of the Janus Order.
Bular is dead, the threat is gone, she should go home-she can return to the surface.
But she doesn’t. She can’t.
The kids learn about the caves where Bular had kept the people he’d bitten and cursed. Barbara and Jim look into ways of contacting Strickler ,who disappeared after the Battle, surely he’d know if Bular had specifically targeted people.
Around this time Darci comes into an unfortunate accident with a gang of goblins, the Trollhunter intervenes thankfully but doesn’t get away unscathed.
Darci tries to help them but they pull away, grumbling they don’t need help.
It becomes an unfortunate occurrence, seeing the Trollhunter take hit after hit in battle, the kids try to assist but they’re quickly rebuffed. Each and every time, they’re also brushed with a weird sense of Deja vu.
The way the Trollhunter moves, talks, it’s so achingly familiar.
It goes on like that for weeks.
Until they find them curled in an alleyway at night. Their armor is off, and their side bleeds a sickly dark purple.
Darci is taken aback by how young they look. Trolls age differently of course but the ‘mighty’ Trollhunter can’t be anything more than a teenager in troll standards.
Their offer to help is finally accepted just this once, if only to keep her from bleeding out. But the pattern repeats itself and they find the Trollhunter willingly coming to them for help when they can’t take care of their injuries alone.
Claire knows she shouldn’t keep doing this, being in the armor is what keeps her a troll during the warm months, if she’s out of it too long she could start to change back, but she desperately wants to see her friends, see how much they’ve changed, and their kindness is something she’s absolutely taking for granted.
Angor Rot’s appearance makes things turn for the worse, he’s relentless, desperate for his promised soul in return for taking out the Trollhunter, Nomura isn’t senseless, she’ll do just that once he’s brought her proof. What better proof than the Trollhunters stone corpse?
The begrudging relationship the kids have built with the Trollhunter, who still hesitates to let them enter the fray, comes to a head when Angor’s latest attempt nearly succeeds.
Dawn is minutes away and Angor sends Claire rolling toward the edge of the incline, cutting her off, unable to reach any sort shadow or protection from the rising sun.
Angor knows, he has too, that’s why he’s watching smugly from the shade as her friends scream at her to move.
They can’t reach her fast enough, and in a desperate move the Trollhunter tears off their amulet, instead of a troll as the armor dissipates it’s a human, a girl, with long overgrown brown hair, edges faintly tinged blue, most of the dye faded out.
Then she looks up..
Jim isn’t sure he’s breathing, heart thudding in his chest, Mary and Darci have frozen beside him.
“Claire?”

Babylon 5 S03E16 War Without End: Part One previous episode - table of contents
From the preview image that Tubi chose for the episode I see that Sinclair's back?? My old friend!! As well as our first glimpse at Minbar outside the Grey Council chambers, I believe! It's beautiful: very sculpted in a sort of sci-fi Rivendell way which fits the Minbari's space elf vibe.
Entil'Zha is being presented with a sacred box, which has waited for over 900 years..in which there is a letter for Jeffrey David Sinclair! Dun dun dun. Prophecy is real, Babylon 5 is a high fantasy as much as it is sci-fi.
Another prophecy, this one of the sci-fi variety: Babylon 5 gets a transmission of Ivanova calling for help, saying "they're killing us."
This show gives me so many fanfic ideas and I haven't looked to see if anyone else has done them yet, because I'm avoiding spoilers. So I really don't go looking for info on B5 or interact with fandom works much. But this episode reminds me that I keep toying with the idea of an AU where Sinclair never leaves at the end of s01 and the whole plot plays out with him. I miss him, he got into my heart so fast and I had no inkling he was leaving the show till well after I was attached.
It's nice to see Sinclair has had Minbari friends in his time running/recruiting/training the Rangers from Minbar.
Partner just asked me what my predictions were for Sinclair and then when I went on a ramble just stared at me and told me to write it down. So here: my prediction of Sinclair's fate. In a separate post, because it's a bit too much of a tangent.
I've paused for long enough for only being six minutes into, so we're going to move on now, but if you wanna hear meta thoughts on what I think might happen with other characters end games, I could ramble about it.
Ivanova: this recording is fake. my analysis is based on logic: I didn't do it, ergo it is fake. Garibaldi, living for some sci-fi shenanigans: what if it's time travel.
They have Garibaldi positioned poorly before a dark path in the backdrop and it looks like he has one, huge pouf of hair sticking out one side of his head, lol.
Sinclair's back on Babylon 5! Zack Allen is in plainclothes, so perhaps all staff have the option? Or Zack wasn't invited to their special senior staff matching uniforms?
Delenn being a drama queen. It's one of the qualities they hire for on the Grey Council.
Lennier: "It must be done or the dream will die, and countless others will die."
o m in o u s
Eight days since the last Vorlon attack, per Marcus.
Sinclair looks so good in Sci-Fi Rivendell clothes. Eeeek, I missed him, I love it.
Oh it's Zak? Zap? Zathras? Yes! Zathras! Wow, I wasn't sre he'd be back, let alone that he'd be in shenanigans with DraalPlanet, OR that DraalPlanet would be doing something with time travel!
And Sheridan! Is also wearing Minbari fashion! Some very snazzy robes over his uniform.
Ivanova's message from the future is so grim. The captain is dead. "They" are coming in all over the place. External cams: Shadows. The Shadows have weapons lock. Explosions. Seems pretty straightforward and I bet it'll play out exactly like that with no twists. :P /hah
As Sheridan is doubtlessly about to find out, it's always going to be a normal evening when you are asked to swear you trust someone with your life before events can commence.
Delenn has a powerpoint presentation about the Shadows. And a battle where the shadows were driven from their home, Zha'Dum. But the Minbari were losing at the time. Until Babylon 4 appeared! Delenn says without Babylon 4, they would have lost the war.
Even while Babylon 4 was in construction, the Shadows attacked to destroy it. And the White Star was there! Delenn says they must go through the temporal rift that Draal is widening, protect B4, steal B4, and send B4 around in time. End Presentation! Everyone agrees with her flawless logic. And because she brought receipts in the form of video archival footage from DraalPlanet's surveillance system: Epsilon 3.
That I didn't see coming, either. But like Garibaldi, I am so on board for the sci-fi hijinks.
Oh, Delenn's plan goes farther! She and Sheridan will take B4 on the entire time travel trip and personally fight in the historical fight against the Shadows. Ten thousand years ago, right??? Damn, Sheridan and Delenn are going to stride through time and strike titanic, decisive blows in a war that felled entire species of sci-fi space gods!! That's so fucking epic.
Ivanova is floating the idea that she was calling for help from an alternate timeline. But Garibaldi thinks it's the timeline they're planning now, where they take B4.
I'm sure that SInclair's quippy references to Sheridan are super funny, but sadly I do not get the references.
Zathras is here again. I...don't get Zathras. He's ehh funny. But extremely plot useful! Sinclair is meeting Zathras for the second time, but for Zathras it's the first time. But Zathras is well-informed, because he's very super honored to meet Sinclair and Sheridan, but also that's on the list of things Draal told him not to mention.
Ahh, this Sinclair has already lived through the destruction of Babylon 5! He's already experiencing the world nonlinearly and is trying to do differently on this loop - damn! Or he's having visions from an alternate timeline but at some point you gotta agreee those are almost the sme thing, structurally, experientially, and thematically.
Time travel requires the use of devices that act as anchors. Zathras is handing them out and they're all being clipped visibly on a belt or sash, thus guaranteeing that someone will lose theirs. Sinclair?
Aww, Sinclair sees Delenn and Sheridan holding hands and smiled. That makes me wistful for the Sinclair/Delenn endgame that exists in my personal, unwritten AU.
Garibaldi is due an arc of making good, upstanding decisions and not doing police brutality so it hits extra hard when he blows up with Babylon 5. Or he makes it two more seasons, idk. I wouldn't mind if they lost a few characters and he was one of them.
Especially not if we could swap him for Talia back. I can't decide if I think she (or her personality that got overwritten) will be back or not.
The White Star has been ugraded with Vorlon skin, so it deflects attacks better, which Sheridan affects to be unimpressed by.
Garibaldi guesses "Hello, old friend," as the password which Sinclair used to lock a goodbye/sorry video Sinclair left for him. Which makes me softer for Garibaldi. That's what I think of when I think of Sinclair, too!
Oooo, Sheridan's time stabilizer got hit and now he's unstuck in time. Space is big. Hope he lands on something with an atmosphere. Delenn can pick him up later, I'm sure.
Sheridan always automatically turns to Delenn for backup, but Sinclair automatically turns to Ivanova, and I love that.
Sheridan just time traveled to the future where Londo is the Emperor of Centaur! And it's "just in time to die."
Are they currently losing a war in the future? Perhaps Centaur is now a holdout in the war for existence against the Shadows in an alternate future and Sheridan will be meant to save the future as well as the past?
So funny how taken aback Delenn is that Sinclair speaks Minbari now. He lived there! Marcus, who was being trained as a Ranger there learned Minbari as what he implied was a necessity. But Delenn is so surprised. Their heart to heart is so sweet. *shipping intensifies*
Back to the future! Sheridan and Londo seems like he's blaming other people for his own support of the Shadows' agenda coming back to bite Londo and Centaur in the ass. "Ohhh if only you'd joined me in collaborating I wouldn't have had to face any consequences!" He'll get everything he ever thought he wanted and learned that being Emperor lost him everything he'd ever cared loved.
That's a pretty good hook and a cliffhanger. And a ton of interesting information was revealed! It's too late for Part Two tonight but I pinky-promise I will watch it tomorrow. I wrote up some predictions after I did a Sinclair one and an other-characters one before I watched...

In trollhunters the trolls seem to have a different way of speech then humans, it isn't really seen much and is quite subtle but it is interesting
Take how the trolls say 'trollhunter' for example, to see it watch to catch a changeling when draal trains jim
Humans say trollhunter like 'tr-owl-hunter' (not trowl, like the garden equipment) and trolls say 'tr-oll-hunta'
Blinky however is more sophisticated and says a more human pronunciation, this could also be a lazy voice actor thing? I personally like think it's detail
Another example is blinky saying Argentina. now in the dreamworks art book it shows the trollish alphabet and it has some letters missing and some traded for foreign letters, like that skandinavian 'd' with a line through the stick, meaning trolls will say things we aren't used to in English.
But circling back to blinky, in roaming fees may apply he says 'ar-hen-tina' to which claire repeats it and says it like 'ar-gen-tina'
This can also be repeated in how vendel and draal say Barbara as 'bar-bu-ruh'
I will not include arg in this because it isn't a natural sort of thing, his way of speech was forced
These are the only things at the top of my head, please feel free to expand on this

Can i pls get a fanfic where reader hasn't been able to sleep for a few days with draal?? Pls ur work is so good.
Thank you :) ~~~ One-shot of Draal with a S/O who has a bad sleep schedule
Was it paranoia? Was it the edge of knowing there was danger in every corner? Or was it simply a bad habit? Either way, it wouldn’t change the fact that your sleep schedule was absolutely horrible. So awful, that even Draal of all people (trolls) began to take notice of it. While not too well-versed in human biology, he knew the lack of sleep was impacting you negatively. So, as your mate, he took it upon himself to help you ease yourself.
You come home one night to the pillows missing from your couch, blankets dragged out of your closet, and even your mattress left in an awkward position in the doorway. Slightly irritated, you rolled your eyes and made your way to the basement where Draal usually resided in. You were under the impression that he got bored and ate your furniture, but thankfully you were wrong. It was a pleasant surprise to see a makeshift nest-laid out for you. Draal stood over it, seemingly proud of his works. “I noticed as of late you’ve lacked sleep. So, I took it upon myself that ensure you’d have the best comfort for the night.”
It was the thought that counted. You shook your head and couldn’t help but laugh softly. “Thank you, hun. I appreciate it.” You hum and walk over toward him. You plant a kiss against his chin, making him rumble in satisfaction. You turned back to the nest, “I could try it now…” Admittedly, you felt drained after that particular day.
… But there were still loads of work to do. “Actually, I can’t. I still have to finish some stuff-” “Why not rest? Even if it’s for a small while.” Draal chuffed, grabbing a hold of you by your waist (and enjoying the small yelp you made) before placing you down on the nest. “I labored myself in making sure you had the best comfort. It’s the least I can do for my mate,” It felt weird saying that, but like a good weird. You pause for a second, thinking. Well, it wouldn’t kill you to relax for a minute now, would it?
“Fine. But I hope you put as much effort as you did making a mess into cleaning that mess.” You teased. Draal just murmured something as he lay beside you, something along the lines of “I protect, not clean.” You had to give him credit, the nest itself wasn’t bad. It wasn’t uncomfortably hard or unbearably soft. It was right in the middle ground, just right for you.
You lay your back against Draal’s chest, reveling in the warmth he provided. “Thank you for this, love. I appreciate it.” You can hear the smile on his face as he speaks, “As I appreciate you, love.”

Hi! Remember the binding spell that Strickler used on Barabra shortly after he frees Angor Rot in season 1?
Well, what if he somehow found a way to tie himself to Jim instead, thus making it so Jim can't hurt Strickler without hurting himself?
Hi! Oh, this one would end so messy!
It may seem like a foolproof plan and I can see Strickler going for it if he had an opportunity. What would be his reasoning? Well, it's
everyone cares about their life
Jim is just a kid, this plan will surely make him give up.
Alas, it will also mean that Strickler has heavily overestimated how well he knows Jim, because Jim can be seriously petty (remember all the stuff he did during the time stop?), and I seriously doubt he showed that side of himself to his favorite teacher (as no one wants to look bad before someone they respect). Jim can easily slightly injure himself to annoy Strickler (a minor bruise or cut, for example). Or just ask Draal not to go easy during their spars. Or intentionally miss a hit during one of those.
Another thing is that Jim can seriously consider cutting Strickler's finger (and sacrificing his own) to get Inferna Copula. Of course, he won't because his friends will be against it, but it will still remain as a plan B.
Not to mention that there's Angor Rot who won't miss the detail that he can easily kill two birds here. Literally. He just needs to go a bit overboard while fighting Jim - and get rid of Strickler as well. Obviously, Strickler will realize it just in time, so from that second he will avoid using Angor to fight Jim.

5 headcanons from a Trollhunters AU of your choice?
So there's this AU that I've had vague ideas about for a while, a roleswap where I swap all the canon ships (not counting Word of God ships and ships where we never see one of the characters). Do note that while the canon ships are getting swapped, the only canon ship that definitely gets together in this AU is Jlaire. (Staja and Darby are both maybe's, but I'm leaning no because IDK how much sense they'd make in this 'verse. Everything else is a NOTP for me.) (Also due to the amount of canon ships, you get more than 5 headcanons.)
Stricklake: Waltolomew is Jim's dad. Jim's bio mom walked out on them when Jim turned five - she accidentally saw Strickler in his true form, and she just wanted to escape. She was concerned that Jim wasn't human either, and she didn't want anything to do with him. (She was right that Jim wasn't fully human, though that didn't manifest as anything other than a very mild iron allergy until he got possessed by Morgana.) Meanwhile, Barbara is a local doctor who ends up getting roped in after she sees too much going on with the local teen defenders, and also after she ends up as Jim's foster mom when Strickler went missing.
Jlaire: The last battle between Kanjigar and Bular took place in a slightly different location, one that Claire was able to ride her bike to. She picked up the amulet and wasn't detected as quickly as Jim was in canon due to Strickler not going into the women's locker rooms. This allows her to have just enough time to learn to fight without Bular killing her for not knowing her way around knives like Jim does. Jim, meanwhile, has recently had the truth of his heritage revealed to him. If he serves the Janus Order well enough, then he can undergo the ritual that could make him a polymorph. (He never goes through the ritual but gains the ability anyways thanks to Morgana.) In the latter half of season 1, he became Team Trollhunters' man on the inside because he can't accept a world where Gunmar reigns (and also because Claire is very pretty in her armor.)
Dromura: Nomura became Kanjigar's apprentice, and while she didn't 100% expect to become the next trollhunter, she is miffed that this human girl with no fighting experience became the next trollhunter instead of her. She also briefly had a fling with Draal, who's human form works with Barbara under the alias of Dr. Aalbregt. Nomura once tried to get Kanjigar and Draal to meet in the hopes that Draal would change sides, but Kanjigar claimed that the impure was not his son. Ouch.
Staja: I'm not saying that Aja is the school bully, but she is rivals with Claire & Mary for popularity, with Claire & Mary being the femme popular crowd and Aja being the star quarterback. (Aja and Darci were neighbors growing up, so they're slightly more cordial.) She also teases Eli, but in a more friendly way since he's her little brother's BFF (and also Eli might have a crush on Krel). Eventually, the Tarron twins + Eli find out the truth. Steve on the other hand is the slightly spoiled heir to House Palchuk of Akiridion V. Seklos help us all.
Nanavex: Varvatos used to babysit Darci and the Tarron twins, sometimes at the same time, because he lives near all of them. He taught them to fight and can tell that something is going on. He doesn't know what. Nancy's son, husband, and daughter-in-law were all killed by the Zerons, and she was left to raise her grandson on her own. Between this and
Darby: I just can't see Darci getting the gravity cursed hammer, and I also can't really see her using a bow in this AU despite her using it in my seasonal amulet AU. I'm gonna say that instead she stole a fancy looking flute from the museum at the end of the second battle of Killahead. This flute was actually the flute that belonged to the Pied Piper, and it allows her to control small animals... and also goblins, because of the long-running raccoon joke. Mary never gets quite as involved in trollhunting as the others do due to being squeamish around violence, which causes her to grow distant from Claire and Darci. The coup happens earlier, Toby makes a cool bracelet for her, and Mary is selfish enough that she decides to befriend this foreign weirdo in order to get cool bracelets. (Due to the coup happening earlier, the two supernatural groups meet earlier. Toby gets to meet Vendel, who is more impressed with him than in canon. Vendel also likes Toby better than Steve.)
Stuart x Gwen: "The bounty hunter (Stuart) you (Morando) sent after us (Steve, Nancy, and Toby) became part of our found family." Meanwhile, I have two potential takes on Gwen. The first is that she's an untrustworthy rogue agent, willing to sell alien tech but also willing to sell secrets to whomever she thinks can get her the best deal. The other is that I replace Gwen of Gorbon with Guinevere, who was an alien all along in this 'verse, and Arthur thought that this foul creature killed his wife when he saw her in her true form. (In the latter case, there would be parallels between Guinevere/Arthur and Waltolomew/Jim's bio mom.)
send me an au and i’ll give you 5+ headcanons about it

Confession after like 4 years of being in the ToA fandom: I’ve always had to maintain a certain emotional distance to its content, more than I’d wished. The reason being that....well..... that for all the smart plot development it had, for all the good humor, for all the great characters, and for all of the amazing, super beautiful and poignant animation... I had kinda hoped that the trolls would be sublime Dwarfs-of-LotR-like beings, with tons of epic lore, countless riches; a proud, majestic, ancient culture and a deep connection to the earth and its ores. Instead we got...well... trash-eating, cyclopean sewer rats and a lot of physical comedy around them. I confess that I went into the show with a very different expectation and that I personally dislike what I found. The closest the troll world ever came to my personal imagination of what it “should be” was at Draal’s death in the epic crystal cave. The thing is: When Blinky originally introduced Trollmarket to the gang, it was painted as magical. I missed that same magic very much later on. I missed glamorous troll ladies in full-on sparkling pink tourmaline. I missed Toby trying to make a fortune in the surface world by selling unique rocks to museum exhibitions, and thereby raising unwanted corporate attention. Or Jim being forced to trade rare gems for some important repairs/ fixing a disaster or something, while going against Vendel’s back. I missed Strickler trying to propose to Barbara with a breathtakingly honed diamond that he could only have gotten in the troll world - making Jim suspicious of a thing or two. I missed the trolls’ hearths, their giant forges of making and remaking the world, of causing earthquakes and disasters on a spa day or during wedding ceremonies. I missed their innate connection to fire and water. The danger that would come to human teens simply from being around forces of nature all the time. I missed the trolls’ scars and their personalized molds. Their societal hierarchy or their work professions being based on whether they’re made of pumice or of titanium. I expected them to eat moss. Idk. I confess that I wanted the famed ‘stone people’ to be more than Arcadia’s convenient waste bins.
I’m happy for all the rest of what we got!!!!!! This just was different than expected. Anyone feel similar about it though?

Trollhunter!Nomura AU (part 1)
Tumblr media
This AU was made by me and @elegantjellyfishwerewolf (check her account to find more information about it).
Now I want to tell you the beginning of this story.
At this AU Strickler begin to date Barbara two months before the main events. Their relationship got started because of Jim's lack of sleep and lateness at school. As a result, Strickler and Barbara become very close to each other and Jim Jim begins to subconsciously perceive Strickler as his father.
//two months later//
After Kanjigar’s death Strickler gives an order to Nomura to check the canal and take the amulet before it will choose another trollhunter. As Nomura came to the canal the amulet calls out her name and she realizes that it’s not good to her. Because of fear that Bular and Janus Order will kill her as soon as she would open the bridge, she doesn’t go to Strickler.
Instead of it Nomura goes to hide in her apartments where Blinky and Aargh visit her and say that she is new trollhunter now. They quickly understand that she is changeling, Nomura runs from them at the panic and trolls go chasing her. At the same time Toby goes out from dentist and notices three running creatures at twilight. He feels a bit scared but at the same time curious and decides to follow them on a bike. After a “jogging” trolls and changeling come to a temporary truce because Blinky and Aargh realize that Nomura isn’t interested at opening the bridge and Nomura doesn’t see aggression towards herself in their behavior. Toby hears their entire conversation, but reveals his presence with some noise. Nomura notices him and is going to kill him as witness, but Blinky stops her from that and they let Domzalski go on the condition that he does not tell anyone what he saw.
At the same time at the Lake house Strickler proposed to Barbara to get married at dinner and she accepts it. Some later at the same evening he gets an information from goblins that the new trollhuner is Nomura now and it makes him nervous because she knows EVERYTHING about their plans. He sends an urgent order to send NotEnrique on the surface to replace by him Nomura’s place and go by himself to get Angor Rot from his prison because he isn’t sure in Bular’s powers. He wants to destroy the new trollhunter as soon as possible.Strickler brings Angor to Arcadia the very next day. As in canon, Angor doesn’t trust to changeling words that his soul will be free again and preparing a trap to him. At some critical moment Strickler barks at his slave saying something like “Do anything!” and at the next moment Angor cuts off part of left hand on which he was wearing Inferno Copula. Angor takes back his soul but let Strickler go.
Walter gets to the hospital and Barbara is very shocked at the way he looks like. After an attempt was made on Strickler's life while he was in the ward, the fact is that the Order of Janus, specifically Otto, found out about Walt's offer about marriage and decided that their leader had softened. There is an explosion in the hospital as a result of which Strickler survives, but Barbara....does not. At this time Angor decides to redeem himself and therefore comes to the Trollmarket to take on the duties of an absent trollhunter. At first, trolls don’t trust him and a bit afraid of killer, but Vendel because of rumors that the new trollhunter might be a human or changeling decides to accept Angor’s proposal. Draal initially perceives this decision of the elder negatively and challenges Angor to a duel during which he loses (the fight was not public, so Draal did not lose his honor), but Angor decides not to kill him and so they both begin to respond to the calls that were intended for the hunter.
While Nomura moves from her apartments to motel, Strickler replaces the missing part of his arm with a prosthesis (a metal prosthesis with hidden golden claws) and finds out who organized the attempt on him (it was Otto). He comes to the Order of Janus and demonstratively kills Otto (who has already managed to proclaim himself the new head) in front of other changelings, as if saying that he should not be discounted. The changelings recognize Strickler's power and he becomes the leader of the order again.
Enrique is substituted, but NotEnrique verysoon reveals his essence to Claire and she threatens the changeling and asks him to take her to her brother, but Neenrique decides to bring her to the entrance to the Trollmarket in the hope that by penetrating there she will be eaten and he will get rid of the witness. Claire enters the Trollmarket and getting found by Angor. Nunez, impressed by the magic of Angor Rot, asks him to start training her to prepare before going to the Darklands and saving her brother. Angor initially refuses, but Claire is too persistent and determined in her desire to save her brother, so Angor reluctantly agrees, hoping that she will leave after a couple of grueling training sessions or die in the course of training.Nomura understands that the influence of Janus order is growing and it would be better for her to go to Trollmarket, but she also understands that the trolls most likely will not accept her until she proves that she can be trusted. Therefore, she, along with Blinky, Aaarrgh and Toby, who has followed them, come up with a plan to kill Bular. Everything is going according to plan and Nomura, along with Bular's head, goes to the troll market to finally take her place as a trollhunter.

(Trollhunters spoilers!)
Angor Rot really did deserve better.
His soul was stolen and he was basically a slave for who even knows how long, and then every time he died (except the last) he was forcefully brought right back to serve again.
He tried to work with Jim, made a deal that would benifit both of them greatly- and sure, we can't know for sure if he would have honored his end of things, but I do believe he would've. Like. At this point, he has nothing really personal against Jim- maybe Claire after she took the staff but that's not quite important here. He does have VERY personal problems with Strickler and Morgana (who Gunmar serves and is going to free if he gets out, which Strickler's plans were leading to)- so severing the soulbond with Barbara and killing Strickler would be easy, bring justice to Strickler and prevent Morgana's return. Also, it is a very good "thanks for my soul back (sort of), sorry for trying to slaughter you and your friends, lets never interact again" gift for Jim.
He flipped out and attacked Jim but 1) in his perspective Jim just suddenly appeared in his cave and that's not cool. 2) Jim was very clearly going to try and put the ring on, so I am not going to be blaming Angor for trying to stop/kill him before he could. The man just wants to be free.
He very clearly hates everything Morgana and Gunmar do, though he does stay with them- and sure, he can't be controlled anymore but what was he meant to do? Morgana would have dragged him back if he left and killed/imprisoned/controlled him if he fought against them. I'm sure about this. But he still voices disagreements, he still calls them out, he still saves Draal after empathizing with him.
And then there's the final battle with Morgana, and Angor betrays her. At this point he does have solid reason to hate Jim and all his friends, but stopping Morgana is leagues more important. I don't think he would've turned on them if he'd survived after she was defeated either, I think he'd want to rest. To finally, for once, rest.
But he doesn't survive. Instead, Jim kills him- or at least starts the process. Sure, Angor was restraining Morgana and it was an opportunity that they could not miss, but. Did he have to impale them both? Did he really? Angor isn't even mad, he accepts it, gives a last line, "well played, trollhunter", he might even approve. But did it have to happen? Morgana may finish the job, but he was already dying. The pieces of his statue are, if I remember correctly, sent into the shadow realm.
And then. They don't even kill Morgana. Not because they didn't want to, it's because they couldn't, and I accept that, but. It feels so bitter. It's unfair.
And what happened to Morgana? She's trapped in the shadow realm, imprisoned in the very same place where Angor now lays dead, in pieces. The Witch and her Champion, inseparable even now. (and if she managed to revive him again? a nightmare.)
And maybe the worst thing is what we see in Wizards; they go back in time, Morgana begins her descent into villainy, and she's cast off a cliff into the water below. Dead. And Angor finds her. In this time of war and hate and bloodshed, in this time humans and magic are at each others throats, when Angor has no reason to sympathize with a human... he carries her body to shore.
Angor cares. Angor is kind. Angor doesn't see a fallen enemy or collateral damage- and also, trolls eat humans, Gunmar talks about this, but Angor doesn't fish Morgana's body from the water to eat as if she were some fish or something. Not even close.
He takes her because even if she's dead already she should be shown this respect at least. He lays her on the bank, he prays for her in death, and then he leaves. And the Arcane Order take her body, so easy to find and reach thanks to Angor, and they bring her back to life.
They bring her back and she rises to power and eventually Angor comes to her for help, and we all know how that ends.
Angor cared for the soul of a stranger, and so got his taken away.

Jimtober 2022 15. The end is the beginning is the end
Nope, just kidding. I drew this and had to share it. Real one under the cut.
Time passed at a different pace in the Void. The Trollhunters weren’t usually sure if a week had passed or just a day. Draal didn’t care. Kanjigar found him once again, using the mirrors to the Trollhunter’s life. Draal was seated and had a big smile in both his heart and his eyes.
“Oh, father. I didn’t see you.” Draal excused himself, blushing. If ghosts can blush, that is.
However, Kanjigar just smiled.
“You miss him. Don’t worry. I miss them too.”
He sat by his side. The mirror was showing a big celebration and there were a lot of people there, but also Trolls. Kanjigar was intrigued.
“Is that some kind of a union?” he asked. “A ceremony to intertwine two human souls, how do they call them?”
“Blinky has said ‘wedin’ a couple of times.” Draal commented. “But it’s not a human ‘weddin’, it’s the Changeling and the Trollhunter’s mother, Bra-bu-ruh.”
They looked as the couple, dressed impeccably, cut an enormous white cake.
“Humans have the weirdest customs.” Draal said, shaking his head. “But at least everybody looks happy.”
Kanjigar agreed. Everyone was smiling and full of happiness. Both Trolls, father and son, recognized the kind of bliss that only appears after a great struggle.
“Look at them.” Kanjigar said. “After all that suffering, all the battles and the losses… humans still find a way to cherish their lives.”
“I’m so glad we were able to watch everything that happened. I was at the edge of my seat a couple of times!” admitted Draal. “Whatever adventures are waiting for them, they deserve to have a party right now. Just to relax and have… fun.”
He watched as the Trollhunter was dragged by his friends to join the dance.
“That’s awkward.” Kanjigar said.
“As humans say, yep.” Draal stood up. Normally, his back would have ached after all that time sitting down, but he was so relieved that everything had ended in a good way that he had forgotten he was a ghost in the Void and his back wasn’t going to hurt anymore.
“Father, is there a way we can visit them? Just so they know we’re proud of them.”
Kanjigar smiled again and put his hand over his son’s shoulder.
“I think he already knows, son.”

Hi there, Pinky! Here's a Trollhunter AU based on a really odd dream.
• Jim is born as Jennifer Lake in this. Barabra had gone missing when Jen is 11, so she's living with Strickler.
• In the dream Jen was thinking this: "I've been having these odd thoughts lately. Like, is any of this even real, or just my imagination?"
• She had also been having nightmares about the Eternal Night before the amulet called to her.
• Strickler does know that something is wrong with Jen but can't pry it out of her no matter what he does. He thinks it's related due to the fact Barabra disappeared.
• Due to her mom's disappearance, Jen has slowly been spiraling into a depressive state and her nightmares about the Eternal Night aren't helping it. Toby and Strickler have been doing their best to cheer her up, but they can't be around her all the time.
• She is thirteen when the amulet calls to her. Strickler, when he found out, cursed Merlin out big time.
• I remember this part: "Your daughter is learning quickly, but she will not survive very for long, Barbara Lake."
• That tells me Barabra is still alive but is held captive somewhere. Pretty sure it was Angor Rot who said that sentence though I don't know why he took Jen's mom.
• Jen is slowly smiling again thanks to Blinky and Aaarrrggh's (and later Draal's) efforts. I know she eventually starts dating someone, and I did catch the word Doux, so it could've been Douxie.
Whether or not Jen and Barabra are actually reunited is up to you. Same with why Angor kidnapped Barabra, and how Jen learned her boyfriend is a wizard.
Oh wow. Always a fan of Strickler (reluctantly) adopting Jim! Or Jen in this AU as Jim is female again. And I like the idea of Strickler being fuming mad at Merlin for choosing his adopted daughter at 13.
Oohhh and it seems Jen/Jim is a seer of some sort and able to see the future to some extent. No wonder she's having nightmares, it would make sense then for Strickler to have tried taking her to a therapist of some sort. But as the affliction is magic based, it makes sense Blinky, Aaarrrgghh and Draal might be more helpful than Strickler and Toby. Even with Strickler being a changeling.
If Barbara is held captive by Angor then it's probably the result of Morgana ordering him to do so.
Hm, Douxie and Jen/Jim is a interesting ship... Not to my liking though so maybe Claire is still a possibility dating wise? In this AU she could already know magic perhaps...

You know what trollhunters is missing? A smarmy little bitch called jack sturges, he's such a great character and I wonder what would've happened if he was added
Or if toa had more book original stuff, becaue draal was supposed to be (BOOK SPOILER) Steve's changeling form,
Would jack still be Jim's uncle? Would Jim live with his dad instead? Milk carton epidemic? Scottish trollhunter claire Fontaine?
