a/n . . . so i took a bit of a hiatus, but upon returing i found i had written this chapter months ago and for some reason never published it, so here it is, more to come in the coming days )

Max Verstappen was usually a picture of confidence, there was very little that made him nervous; after all he spent his life driving at 200 miles an hour. Max was consistently cool, calm and collected no matter what he was doing, that’s just who he was. But as he stood in front of your apartment door, he felt a chill of uncertainty deep within. He had rehearsed his words a thousand times, but now, as he prepared to knock on the door, all eloquence seemed to escape him. Could he do this? Should he do this? Even though his friendship with you was still fresh, it had come to mean a lot to him, and if he did what he wanted to do, he was well aware that he could lose the newfound friendship. “It’s now or never” he spoke out loud to himself before finally gathering the courage to knock on the door. When the door swung open, revealing you stood there in your pajamas holding a rather large glass of wine, Max couldn’t help but second guess whether he should be doing this.  

“Hey Max, I-” you started, trying to find a way to apologize for kissing him and then completely ghosting him immediately following the kiss, but was interrupted by the Dutchman’s voice cutting through. 

“Wait, Y/N. Just let me get this out” His words hung in the air, heavy with anticipation, and you watched as he took a deep breath to steady himself. It was evident in the way his hands trembled that this was not an easy moment for him. Despite his anxiety, Max looked directly into your eyes, his sincerity shining through. 

“30th of September 2017. That is the day that you and I met, I remember it like it was yesterday. Pierre and I knew each other from karting but when he got his seat at Toro Rosso, and you came with him to the Malaysian GP, we met each other for the first time. When I saw you for the first time, I thought you were the most beautiful girl I had ever seen in my life, and when I got to know you, I realized that not only were you the most beautiful girl, but you were also the kindest and funniest girl too. But you were with Pierre.”  

For a second Max stopped, wondering if it was too late to run away and pretend that this never happened. He couldn’t bring himself to look you in the eye, afraid of what he would see. You were frozen, slowly taking in every word he said.  

“You were with Pierre, and I knew I needed to respect that. So, I ignored everything I knew I felt for you. I kept you at arms length as nothing more than Pierre’s girlfriend because I knew the more I got to know you to harder it would be to ignore how I felt. And I was right; because as I've spent more time with you, it’s made it impossible for me to pretend that this isn't how I feel. I know this is selfish of me, I know that the last thing you need right now is me making things more complicated for you after everything you’ve been through, but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about that kiss. I can’t pretend anymore. You deserve so much more than how Pierre has treated you.” 

Max's confession hung in the air, and as he finally looked into your eyes for the first time since he started speaking, his own were filled with trepidation. He feared that he might see disgust or anger in your expression, but what he found instead was a bewildered look, a mix of surprise and confusion. For a moment, silence prevailed as you tried to process the whirlwind of emotions that his words had stirred within you. Max, sensing your confusion, stammered out an apology. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I shouldn't have put you in this position." He took a step back, as if ready to retreat and give you space to collect your thoughts. "If you want me to go, just say the word." 

You shook your head, still unable to find the right words. "No, Max, please stay," you finally managed to say softly. "I just need a moment to process all of this." You motioned for him to come back inside, and as he entered your home, the air was filled with a sense of uncertainty.  

Max stood there, his gaze locked onto yours, and it was clear that he was waiting anxiously to hear what you had to say. You could see the nervous anticipation in his eyes, the way his fingers slightly trembled. It wasn't just your feelings that were in turmoil; Max's emotions were on display as well. 

"Max," you began again, your voice wavering with raw honesty, "I would be lying if I said that I didn’t feel anything for you. But I’m just so confused." Your gaze dropped to the ground for a moment before returning to meet his earnest eyes. "I met Pierre when I was 13 and we’ve been together since, he was my first and only everything. So even though he hurt me more than I knew was possible, those feelings don’t just disappear” 

You continued, trying to express the jumble of emotions swirling within you. "I like you, a lot. And the time we’ve spent together has been great, but I'm in a place where I have no idea what's going to happen with Pierre. It wouldn't be fair for me to lead you on when I'm still grappling with my own emotions." 

Max nodded, his understanding gaze unwavering. "I get it, Y/N," he replied softly, his voice filled with empathy. "I don't expect you to have all the answers right away, and I don't expect you to suddenly be done with Pierre. But I also don't want to give up on the potential of what we might share." He took a deep breath, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "So, if you're willing, could we start by going on a date? No expectations, no pressure. Just two people getting to know each other better." 

Your heart swelled with a mix of emotions, but you needed to make sure he understood the complexity of your situation. You searched his eyes for any signs of hesitation and, finding none, you mustered a small, genuine smile. "Okay, Max," you replied, “If you’re sure you’re okay with me not really knowing what I’m doing, then I’d happily go on a date with you.” 

As Max heard your tentative agreement to go on a date, a radiant smile spread across his face, illuminating his entire expression. It was as if a weight had been lifted from his shoulders, and his eyes sparkled with genuine happiness and relief. His excitement was palpable, and it showed in the way he couldn't contain a small, triumphant chuckle. 

Max's voice, once tinged with nervousness, now carried a buoyant enthusiasm as he said, "Thank you, Y/N. I promise there's no rush, no pressure. We can take things as slow as you need. I'm just grateful for the chance." You truly didn’t know what was going to happen, you liked Max, but you loved Pierre. Things were pretty much as complicated as they could be, but Max had made you feel like it was okay that you were confused, it was okay that you didn’t know what you were doing.  

Content that you had agreed to go on a date, Max stood up to leave and as he reached the door, you noticed a moment of hesitation in his gaze. It was as if he was contemplating something, and for a brief second, you thought he might lean in for a kiss. Your heart raced at the possibility, but then you saw the doubt flicker in his eyes, and his lips curved into a warm, sincere smile. He decided to step closer and envelop you in a gentle hug. 

The embrace was warm and comforting, and as Max held you, you couldn't help but feel a wave of happiness wash over you. There was something undeniably exciting about the prospect of this new chapter, despite the complicated circumstances that had led to it. The mix of emotions that had coursed through you during the day seemed to have settled into a pleasant anticipation. 

As you climbed into bed that night, you were amazed by the unexpected shift in your mood. Instead of feeling worried or stressed about the uncertain future, you were filled with excitement and happiness. Max's genuine interest and the possibilities that lay ahead left you with a sense of hope and a newfound joy that you hadn't anticipated.

This is part of my scummy men thing, but idk when I’ll post that so I’ll just post this early 🤷‍♀️ that probably would have been out if I didn’t get carried away with this 👽 they were supposed to be like 200 words each MAX 🤡

Heizou is not ashamed to try and exploit his high rank in the 'important person' list to try and get what he wants— and being a member of the student council team means that he can get away with almost just about anything. He grins to himself, and raises up his fist to knock on the door. His fingers are twitching in excitement, and the wait for approval is almost antagonising to him, to say the least. So when he's granted access by the professor to enter with a loud 'Come in!', he nearly skips in his step to rush open the door, and walk inside. Many curious eyes turn to him, but he likes the attention, so he doesn't stop, and excitedly strides over to the teachers desk. "Hello ma'am! I'm afraid [name] will need to miss out on this lecture... she's needed in the council office. As soon as possible, preferably." A lie, but of course, nobody here needs to know that. He turns his head, and hardly needs to scan around the room because it's almost instant that his mischievous eyes lock onto your tired ones. He winks, and uses his finger to motion you to come over when the professor agrees to his request with no questions asked, just what he wanted.

When you sigh in defeat, and get up from your seat and start to gather all of your belongings, he just stands there and stares, stares at your delicate hands as they move around to grab your things, stares at your soft legs when you bend down to pick up that eraser you just accidentally dropped, stares at your pretty little face when you walk over to the door and reach for the handle— he draws a deep breath, bids your teacher and class goodbye with a careless looking wave, and quickly jogs over to follow you. "What's the rush?" You're already half way down the hallway when he turns around after shutting the door, so he hurries up on his feet to catch up, only slowing down when he's finally matched your pace. "We have all the time in the world right now." He happily grins, reaches for your book bag before you can detest, and hoists it over his shoulder.

"You might, but I have stuff to do...like trying to continue my education and progress in life." You don't bother to turn your head when his hand finds place on the lower part of your back, but you do however, start to speed up your steps when he slowly begins to lower it down and closer to your butt. Heizou ever so slightly pouts in disappointment when his advancement is brushed off by you so easily, but he quickly covers it up with his usual cheeky grin, and doesn't bother to comment on his loss. You turn the corner, and he takes the chance to step try and get close— but it's either that you had failed to notice that how his body is closer to yours then it probably should have been, or that you just didn't care, he's just happy it's working. "Ouch, like an arrow straight through my poor little heart." He clutches his shirt to add onto his playful act, and he swears that if he squints his eyelids hard enough, he can see a ghost of a smile on your soft looking lips. 'Got her...'

"So..." you clear your throat, and quickly gaze at him from the corner of your eyes, which he is already staring back at. "Where are we really going?" You ask, and Heizou blinks, before tilting his head to the side like a confused puppy— and if he wasn't already so high up in his pride, you almost want to call him cute. "Oh? Whatever do you mean, my dear?" He places a finger on his chin and taps it in thought, and can almost feel himself swooning when you look away and playfully roll your eyes at him.

"Well... if i am correct, which i know that i most certainly am, the councillors office is—" you abruptly stop walking, and he does too, watching with an amused smirk as you turn around and point your index finger in the direction that you had both just walked through. "—that way, meaning we are going the completely wrong way— and considering that you haven't said a single thing about that..." you trail off, and he would applaud you for your observation skills, if not for his hands gripping onto the hem of his shirt out of excitement. 'A women after my own heart... how sexy.' He tries to quell the fast beating of his chest but good god, you really were just perfect, a perfect women, everything that he's ever needed and more... he's really not sure how much longer of a wait he can endure before it finally gets too much for him to handle. He can already feel his patience running thin with each tick of the clock it's that antagonising. He gulps, and tried to rid of the lump that formed in his throat. "...you perhaps have some... ulterior motives?" you finish off, and he hums in delight.

"Ah, like always, you're right on the money! That's why i like you so much." He snaps his fingers, and nods to himself, the vibrant maroon strands of his hair fall down over his eyes, which he quickly dismisses with his hand. "Oh! And would you look at that, it seems we have already reached our destination." His chromatic eyes, full of nothing but mischief, look somewhat unsettling as they almost bore into your own, and makes you debate with yourself wether you should really turn around to where he's pointing or not. But of course, it's like Heizou can sense your hesitation, so he ushers you to do so with the offer of that charming smile. He knows he's got you, as he watches as you sigh in defeat, and give in. It's a storage closet, one with an old looking sign that says 'Authorised personal only' plastered right on the door no less. You blink cautiously, and quickly turn around to question his motives, but he's quicker, and is already reaching for the handle and pushing open the door, grabbing your wrist and pulling you in with him. "Hey—!"

It kind of smells, probably from everything crowding the room and stopping the vents from allowing clean air to pass through, it's also very dusty, like it hasn't had a proper clean in maybe years— and over the sounds of you hacking away at your lungs after you accidentally inhaled some of the dust particles that spread around from your sudden movements, you can faintly hear how the creaky door closes shut behind you, fantastic, now it's dark too. It's quiet for a moment, too quiet that you wonder if Heizou is still even here with you— but as you're about to call out for him to confirm, something is suddenly grabbing ahold of your waist, and pulling in. You squeal in surprise, but that quickly turns into a grunt when your back comes in contact with something firm. "It's pitch black in here... we should stay close together." His tone of voice... your body trembles as little shivers crawl up your spine, it's so... unnerving, in a way. He follows his own advice of being close, and presses his chest more firmly against you— the buttons to his shirt almost dig into your skin, but right now, being too nervous to say anything, you just bear the slight discomfort it brings you. His hands, even though small and slim, make you feel almost tiny in his grasp as they wander over the flesh of your hips and around your body— until his arms are caging you in tightly, so tight that to even think about trying to slither out is almost an embarrassing thought. Because to put it simply— he has you trapped.

"Heizou... stop playing around already. Did you really pull me out of class to just mess with me? Let me go so i can do something productive with my time." It sounds mean, but you're on edge, and he knows that— probably by the slight quiver in your voice, one which you're not sure formed from either the tense and eerie atmosphere that has suddenly clouded over the room— or the way Heizou's warm breath skims over the skin of your neck from just how close he is. Either way, goosebumps start to arise on your arms and legs. "S-seriously... I have to study. Exams are coming up soon and— and I can't afford to be wasting my time right now..." he doesn't respond, but the way the side of his head drops onto your tense shoulder is almost a wordless answer enough. You listen anxiously as he takes in a drawn breath, and if it weren't for your current situation— you'd probably crack a joke about how it seems like he's sniffing you because of the way his nose presses up against your skin.

"...are you aware of just how aromatic you smell?" Ah... so he was sniffing you. You shift around uncomfortably at the thought, but he keeps you in place. His chest is starting to rise and fall faster then it probably should be, but so is yours— and you're one hundred and ten percent sure that he can hear the pulsating beat of your heart increasing with each passing second from the place which he stands (which is not very far away, whatsoever). Your aroma is so sweet, he thinks, and shamelessly stuffs his nose back into your neck, where he's able to breathe in your scent again at a more close up level. So sweet that, he swears his hips are moving on their own, as they softly jerk forward and grind against your ass. So sweet that he blames the little moans he lets fall past his lips, on you, and your intoxicating smell, that has his hands running down your stomach and towards your crotch out of his control. Really, he can't help it... honest. You can feel how his cock starts to erect in his pants, and press up against you— making you whine in embarrassment. "Ah— come on, Heizou, s-seriously. I'm telling you, you need to let me go before someone hears us..."

"Well, my—" he grunts, and teasingly trails his hand down further, until his fingers are met with the elastic band on your pants, which he wastes no time slipping past and gliding his hand lower, where he finally, after what felt like decades, acquires what he has been looking forward to this entire time... your pussy. "—my intuition is telling me that... you're all i'll ever need, baby." You had him waiting for so long... surely you wouldn't mind if he just, pushed aside your panties and... took what he wanted? Right?

There's many things I want back in Pokemon games. But one, if not the thing I want the most, is Pokemon Amie/Refresh. And sure we got inferior versions after but it was just never the same. Especially not the damn washing in Scarvi, it's funny for a bit but it's very lackluster.

With Legends ZA on the horizon getting Amie back is a possibility but. We didn't get bases or contests back in PLA so. We either won't get it back at all or another eh version that's an afterthought at best.

What I propose instead is a full spin-off game. To put it simply, a Pokemon Nintendogs type game. People would eat this UP. I'm definitely not the first person to bring this up. But seriously, they would make so much money with this.. god can you imagine if they outsourced it to the New Pokemon Snap team. Crazy. A game like that would ensure they could focus on the aspect of unique animations for playing with and petting your pokemon, teaching them tricks, hell it could finally expand on pokemon contests without being overshadowed by battling!

One of the things fans have wanted the most is seeing more of Pokemon acting like the little beasties they are. And I think they're missing out on a great opportunity with this. Hell they could make it so certain contest tricks translate to unique moves or abilities if you trade the pokemon over to the next mainline game. That would ensure that not only the 'My Charjabug is my perfect little scrungly' demographic is interested, but also more competitive players focused on maxing out potential for battling.

For a company that's gotten more and more greedy over the years (I'm not talking about the 200 or so devs in there, because no matter the quality of recent games you can still tell they're passionate when you pay attention to certain aspects. They still care. I see you.), for a company that wants to sell as much merchandise as possible it's crazy to me how they haven't done this yet.

P.S. For the love of god fix walk speeds for follow pokemon in the next game. My mons in Let's Go certainly didn't get left behind when I started running. Sometimes the 'realistic' walk speed has to be disregarded for a better playing experience.

Speaking of Let's Go, the unique ride pokemon were one of the best things they have ever done. Though I do get that's hard to implement with a bigger roster of pokemon, I certainly wouldn't be opposed to seeing that back either.

hourglass farming advice if anyone wants: so prologue farming is fine and dandy but I saw someone point out a First Day chat that's even better, so here's how I abused the hell out of it with backup saves:

-You're going to need 10 hourglasses. You'll make them back pretty fast.

-Start a new game BEFORE 11:58am. Make sure the chat "Seven Loves Cats" is avalible if it's after 10:04am. Doesn't matter if it's Casual Story or Deep Story, just NOT Another Story.

-Either purposely miss the chat/wait for the next one, or enter and back out.

-Spend 10 hourglasses to unlock the chat. Now this chat is in your BACKUP SAVE. Which means you can reload without using hourglasses and because you spent the hourglasses to unlock it, it will ALWAYS be avalible to participate in when you load that file, no matter how many chats are after it.

-I have gotten as many as 4 hourglasses off this one chat. That many in one go is rare, but there's a good chance of getting at least one, and it really only takes a minute to go through it since Max Speed is free on the first day.

ANSWER CHOICES: There may be some that work better but here's the track I follow

Another thing I like to do before unlocking the chat for the backup save it to answer any texts but don't open the replies. When you reload the save, the unopened messages will be there and you can grab those extra hearts. It really adds up fast.

Stuff like this has probably been done before but I thought I'd toss this into the ether in case anyone finds it helpful. If I'm bored between chats in my current route I'll save and do this a few times, usually gets me a good profit (after getting 5 to reload my earlier save). I was able to grind the last 200 HGs I needed for Ray's After Ending in about two hours doing this so ✌️

I've been bored on a train with no internet so here's a shitty fan made frame idea and some Oberon bullshit nobody asked for. Pan suits my playstyle but probably would be shit in Steel path (so am I shocker) so don't take him too seriously, tbh the Oberon tweaks kinda suck, they're just small buffs that fix nothing. It's all just for fun. Also the fact that he synergizes with Oberon everywhere is def weird, I love the idea so I put it in.

Pan Warframe

Plus a small dose of Oberon tweaks.

He looks kinda like Oberon but more goat and flesh than a paladin in armor. His defining features would be spooky eye-like ornaments on his body, large horns, and a pan pipe embedded in his wrist. He's supposed to be a cc frame with some support and not much in the way of damage. Definitely needs his allies to do the killing. I could see him be used with a range and efficiency build to cheese interception missions, or anything else that doesn't require much killing. His main purpose is grouping enemies, giving some health and energy, and running around taking all the heat. Idk how effective he would really be, maybe he would have large energy problems but idk, he's def. not something that would make it into the game.

Stats (at max rank):

• Health: 350

• Shields: 300

• Armor: 200

• Energy: 200

• Starting energy: 100

• Sprint speed: 1.15

Passive: Pan jumps higher and deals more damage to enemies while parkour'ing into them. All crowd control abilities cast within affinity range of Pan are more effective. (On a case by case basis, too lazy to go through all of them)

First ability: Faun Dash

• Ability: If tapped Pan leaps high into the air pushing away enemies, when pressed again he comes crushing down, causing a radiation status effect on enemies in an area, as well as a miniature and worse rhino stomp. Costs 15 energy. If held Pan starts running, stomping and leaping. Each stomp of his hooves staggers enemies and places down a small field of plants/grass and a toxin cloud above it (10 meter radius). The plants suck in enemies (withing 15 meters) cc'ing them for a short time, untill they reach the center of the field. Each stomp costs 5 energy. Idk about speed and distance but it'll be a pretty good movement ability, comparable to bullet jumping. When the player stops holding the ability key, Pan will travel extra distance, ramming with his horns forward. If he hits a wall or an enemy he will ragdoll the enemy hit stripping it's armor and all enemies in a small radius will be pushed back and dealt impact damage without the armor strip. If the ability key is tapped again during the ram, Pan will perform the vertical jump like normal but with half the energy cost. While using this ability Pan can use weapons but aiming is difficult, for both Pan and enemies. Idk how evasion works in this game but let's say 40% of shots will miss him.

• Other ability synergy: Can be used with Pan Pipes and Panic.

• Oberon synergy: While channeling, the projectiles from Oberon's smite will follow Pan, see Oberon tweaks for why that does anything.

• Augment: Now when using pan pipes alongside this ability, Pan will inflict a status effect onto affacted enemies based on his energy color (the 4 basic elements only). The status effect will also mix with the clouds of toxin, creating a elemental combo or doubling the toxin damage

Second ability: Pan Pipe

• Ability: Channeled ability, costs 10 energy per second. Pan plays on the pan flute embedded within his wrist. While using this ability Pan can't use any weapons. While activating it for the first time, all enemies within 30 meters will lay down their guns for up to five seconds. After 3 seconds of continuous playing  up to 12 enemies will begin shooting their former allies (the ability prioritizes enemies depending on their DPS). All enemies under the effect of the ability will focus on attacking Pan, even if they walk out of range. Pan himself will receive 40% less damage, and all damage dealt by his followers will be converted into health and armor with a 1.2x multiplier. When cancelled the enemies go back to normal but suffer form a weak stagger similar to the one that Banshee's silence causes, but shorter.

• Other ability synergy: Can be used with Faun Dash and Panic

• Oberon synergy: Obviously renewal will help keep Pan alive indefinitely. When standing on hallowed ground The music's effect will extend to all the connected instances of hallowed ground (for example Oberon places a long strip of hallowed ground, when Pan is on one end he will still charm enemies that stand on the other end, even if they're further than 30m).

• Augment: All damage dealty by his followers is now given to Pan's allies in the form of health and armor with a 1.5x multiplier. Damage dealt by allies to affected enemies is given to pan as energy with a diminished value.

Third ability: Panic

Ability: Pan screams (ability doesn't interrupt shooting or reloading) and inflicts Panic onto his enemies withing 20m. Enemies will either drop their guns or erratically start shooting at air, missing their targets. Enemies will start running toward each other clumping into tight groups. Enemies affected by Panic have a 60% chance of dropping both health and energy orbs. Costs 30 energy

Other ability synergy: Can be used with Faun Dash and Pan Pipes.

Oberon synergy: Range is increased while standing in hallowed ground. If Pan has the armor buff from renewal and hallowed ground, he can spread it to other allies with this ability.

Augment: Now enemies scatter and run aimlessly for 2 seconds. They are also blinded permanently. (This one sucks ass lmao)

Fourth ability: Great God Pan

Ability: Cool void shit happens in a 30m radius around Pan. Enemies caught within this ability will either kill themselves (20% chance), be inflicted with panic (30% chance) or get turned by cool void magic into pools of light (50% chance), which stay behind even after the ability is over. If an ally walks into one of these pools, they will have their energy restored and next time they are downed they will be able to get themselves back up without help (doesn't stack, but when they step into the pool a second time their pet/sentinel will be granted an extra life) When Pan steps into one of these pools he is granted invincibility for 2 seconds, all his health and shields are quickly drained and split between allies, then his health is returned back up to full (he can't make use of the single free revive, would be too powerful solo, and his energy isn't renewed). The ability costs 120 energy to cast and the fireworks last for 7 seconds.

Other ability synergy: Enemies that have been previously inflicted with Panic have a 100% chance to turn into a pool of light

Oberon synergy: The pools of light increase the healing done by renewal for 15 seconds. Also restoring energy is pretty good.

Augment: The ability now doesn't affect enemies. Allies within range recieve the self revive buff and are granted continuous healing and energy regeneration of 15/s. They're also able to see enemies through walls. The ability now costs 50 energy, has a cool down of 40 seconds and lasts 10 seconds.

Small Oberon tweaks totally detached from this:

• Smite can now heal allies, when the projectiles can't home on an enemy they will instead target Oberon or an ally, healing them for a portion of damage they would deal. Pan would be able to carry those leftover projectiles and keep them as extra healing for himself when using his pan pipes.

• Reckoning should drop health orbs when attacking enemies at a lower rate, than when killing them

• The passive is kinda outdated, should be buffed. Buffs to companions are a good idea, I just want some better ones.

Gameplay wise how is Dragons Dogma 2 different from the first? Loved the first game but am tentative about the sequel due to some rather mixed reviews

Okay, so you remember how you have to be very careful with training/teaching your Pawn? How you couldn't just spend a fight with a cyclops by picking loot up because then your Pawn will think "oh, I should do that too"? You don't have to worry about that in DD2. I kinda miss that aspect but it's also convenient that you don't have to constantly keep an eye out for that. You can also high five your Pawns after battle! Also, your Main Pawn (or any hired pawn) will offer to lead you to any treasure chests or rift stones they found with another Arisen, so just tap up for "go!" on the D Pad (for controller) and they'll show you the way.

Treasure chests don't seem to reset after a certain period of time, which is a bummer, but you'll still get useful items like curatives, wakestone shards and ferrystones, or a new weapon or piece of armor. Or gems like onyx and jasper, which can be sold for a lot of gold (keep an eye on item descriptions since I think some gems might sell for more in Vermund or Battahl.) Money is still easy to come by, since monsters are just as likely to drop a few hundred gold as they are the usual drops. Speaking of which, item storage caps at 99 per item, so if you have 99 goblin horns in storage and 25 on your person, just sell it to get some extra cash.

Combat feels the same, albeit with guard breaking as an additional thing, and the classes have execution animations; like, if you're a fighter then you can heavy attack a saurian from behind to chop off their tail, then follow it up with another heavy attack to quickly finish it off. Warriors now have a passive skill where if you time button presses for fast attacks right, the consecutive swings will be much faster; you'll get it right when you hear a light "ting!" and a little flash on the weapon. Archers are solely dedicated to archery and can just use the face buttons to attack, and their heavy attacks are kicks which are great for stun locking goblins and wolves to break their guard. But in the early game, BE CAREFUL. Before I reached the capital city, a single hobgoblin could kill me dead before I knew what was happening. Also, for some reason healing is different because you can't just munch on curatives to boost yourself back to max health – once you lose a certain amount of health, that's your new cap until you rest. I don't mind it too much, it makes you consider things more carefully.

Ferrystones and portcrystals aren't the only fast travel anymore! Now you can ride in oxcarts for a small fee, 100 or 200 gold depending on the destination. You can even doze off in the cart to make the trip go faster, but often times the cart will be attacked at least once per journey so it's never a dull moment. Speaking of travel, camping is now a thing! There are campfires all over the map so you're never too far away from a potential spot to rest for the night. Camping kits are reusable and some are heavier than others; the lightest one seems to be an Elite Camping Kit you'll receive as a quest reward at the Border Rest Town and it's only four pounds. Just make sure the place is clear of any beasties before you set up camp! You can small talk with your Pawns or equip skills as needed before taking a rest. Very convenient.

Combining items has been streamlined a LOT. You'll soon have more Salubrious Draught than you'll know what to do with them just by mixing greenwarish with any fruit. Fruit and meat and fish and harspuds can also be mixed together when they're aged, but they're still useful when rotten; mix them with another certain item (or I think each other?) to get lantern oil, iirc.

I've also heard that Arisen's will gift hired Pawns with rotten foods or dried flowers as a warning to their Arisen that their Pawn might be showing symptoms of Dragonsplague, which a VERY BAD THING. Remember the first paragraph in this answer? Don't think you can't ignore certain things about your Pawn. If they act like they have a headache, or are in pain, or they start copping an attitude (not like the straightforward dialogue), or their eyes start glowing red, THEY HAVE DRAGONSPLAGUE. THIS IS VERY BAD AND CAN RESULT IN A SETTLEMENT BEING PERMANENTLY WIPED OFF THE MAP. How do you cure this? I've heard you can just yeet your MP into the nearest body of water for the Brine to take them and then call them back with a rift stone. I'll admit I've done this before when I noticed my MP holding his head, so I got paranoid and yeeted him into the drink. I'm sorry, Kolima, I just don't want you getting the plague and going on a rampage!

And uh... yeah, that's all I can think of. I'm happy with DD2! It may not be as deep as the original in certain gameplay respects, but it feels like playing Dragon's Dogma and that I think is important. Nighttime is still dark as balls, combat is fun, the affinity system still feels a bit jank considering I gave Ulrika a bouquet of flowers and instantly got max affinity with her, and Pawns can now have conversations! It's such Oblivion NPC Energy and I expect nothing less. But whether you choose to buy it is up to you.

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Caius Ballad and Yda Hext Banner

The Heartless Gaze event just started in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game. This event came with 1 banner.

The Heartless Gaze banner features the following chars and their weapons:

Caius Ballad from Final Fantasy XIII-2 - Burst or BT only

Yda Hext from Final Fantasy XIV - 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD

Penelo from Final Fantasy XII - 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD

Have everything on this banner except for Yda’s LD so was very reluctant to use gems here.

If I was still missing Caius’s BT, would have been more inclined to gem this banner since I heard he could be of use in some of the quests in Dimensions’ End: Transcendence Tier 6.

Thoughts about Yda Hext from Final Fantasy XIV

The best thing to do was likely to just skip the Heartless Gaze banner entirely. Yda Hext from Final Fantasy XIV is pretty good but, in the end, she’s mostly just yet another DPS.

However, I was actually kinda interested in her because I wanted to try out the so-called “YdaRoth” cheese strat.

This is a no-boss turns strat that involves Yda and Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII (#ad).

Ever since I got Sephiroth’s LD and BT, I’ve been trying to run him through all the Lufenia (level 200) and Lufenia+ (level 250) quests we’ve had so far.

My Sephiroth is fully built and maxed out with his 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, and BT all fully MLB’d. He has his High Armor and it’s been upgraded to Blue.

He’s Level 80 and Crystal Level 80. He has his Bloom Stone, triple real Spheres, and triple perfect Artifacts. All of his Summon Boards and Character Enhancement Boards have been completed.

But although it’s true that I wanted to try out the YdaRoth strat, it was also true that I don’t actually need Yda.

Sephi’s been powercrept by now but so far, I’ve successfully been able to run him through multiple Lufenia and Lufenia+ fights. I talk more about these quests in other posts.

It feels like I don’t really need Yda to be able to keep using Seph in endgame content.

Heartless Gaze Banner Free First Multi-Draw Results

Still, I thought I’d try my luck with tickets anyway. But before that - thanks to the currently ongoing winter campaign, we get a free multi-draw on the Heartless Gaze banner.

Unfortunately, all I got from that free pull was a dupe of Rydia’s 35cp. Meh.

Heartless Gaze Banner Tickets Pulls Results

Currently have 473 tickets on hand. Here’s to hoping that Yda won’t take all of them. Have other banners I want to use them on, and they’re all coming soon so, yeah, gonna need more tickets. LOL.

As always, got the usual bronze and silver trash and gold dupes. Sometimes, I’d even get 10-draws that didn’t have a single gold, which really sucked.

Then, a bit later on, got a gold orb. This turned out to be 1 really awesome orb because it gave me 4 golds.

3 of them were nothing more than dupes of Penelo’s 15cp, Penelo’s 35cp, and Yda’s 35cp. But the fourth item turned out to be -

My very first copy of Yda’s LD! Hell, yes! So happy to see this.

Was down to 393 tickets when Yda’s LD finally came home. Glad she didn’t take all of my tickets.

Yda Hext from Final Fantasy XIV

Prior to the appearance of the Heartless Gaze banner that featured Yda’s LD, my Yda’s 15cp, 35cp, and Ex were already fully MLB.

Her Ex was at Ex+ 0/3 only though and she only had a few of her Summon Boards completed.

She also already has her Bloom Stone and, to my surprise, I’d apparently already farmed for her perfect Artifacts from before.

Now that I have Yda’s LD, Purpled her Ex or got it to Ex+ 3/3. Finished the rest of her Summon Boards. Bought her Bloom Stone.

Got her High Armor and upgraded it to 0/3. Equipped her with triple RF Spheres. Finished her LD Board but chose to ignore the rest of her Char Boards for now.

If the points needed to unlock these Boards weren’t so scarce, I’d gladly spend them on all my chars but, as it is, really need to be more selective with this.

Didn’t really think I’d be using Yda that much anyway and it seemed like her LD Board was the most important so decided to just focus on that for now.

There's some oddness and really the woman cannot get big and they went the other way. And my husband says they should go out and get mr pededos concoctions and elixirs and they're great they should. So far they're doing this reverse thing where they themselves are very small and the man is the Giant and the guys are only 6 ft at best in the thier playing the lady. We get a winner so far number one on the making Chris be big cuz he's too small is the bubble slippers that look like hand grenades they're trying to look like bubbles and the black ones look like hand grenades so they took them off the market because people are buying them and spray painting them black I'm saying I'm going to be a giant and kick these at you that's what she's saying you're trying to work in the laundromat tomorrow. We're pretty sure it'll be mack and people won't be there because it's memorial Day and they're going on Deliverance and he's not going. It makes sense and that's what the warnings are about and Lily is missing no but she will be and it's during the day and then she goes up there during the day and they go up there during the day twice and the rat thing was a different era. And the girl in the ice cream store is Ray and she is not aware that she's not real big no she is it looks at him and says he's pretty big but they're weirdos. And he's kind of tired of the routine Plus. And he is not seeing any larger woman so it's a surprise so far they did try

It's more going on here tonight they're partying for memorial Day and it's starting to fireworks crap and they're having a decent time but really the max are on the prowl and out to get people before it happened last night and they're on the move some people of duty today not many cuz it's Sunday it's like half the Parks department cuz they're lazing around doing nothing and they got in trouble and they made a mess and got arrested what's going on all day it's about 200 people that's why it's going slow.

And being interrogated now he's trying to interrogate people it comes out as horrible and I can't stand them I knew you'd laugh because what I'm saying but then he was okay okay because they're threatening him. No it's a lot of hassle that I'm getting through it and I heard The credo going out and then there's a law attached to it and heard that was my husband and I was there helping but now I noticed something you are him and I'm her I'm going to do this. This is awesome the way it's written is perfect what it says is perfect and is based on history in our history and it is by all of us each of us had a part in changing it from what you said but not what it really says and I was amazed they all came together on it very quickly it was so much fun and I was there too helping and I said something it's different and said we were fighting that which the way it was but it is here on Earth that way and they wanted that in there and it separates the places in The credo itself I got a little bit bigger but not too big. And The credo is being followed it is intense it's the best thing that I've ever heard you do you had a moment of genius you're sitting there thinking you're calling you know and say if I was there and I was a soldier I find it my job to have my people on board to save them slowly but really they have to do it a lot faster and it's their job and it became very quick in some areas and other areas of speeding up and they're getting hold at their people it is very intense. So it's painful it's painful for him to see Big Joe everyday in such a mood in the state and worse than he was before made me to a bunch of junk he's a horrible person and terrible person to the Sun and he doesn't like him. Painful because they were trying all day and night they betray their trust if you have him if you don't they betray you anyways it's terrifyingly bad. What you think of is on stuff that happens to them because their lifestyle and how they treat each other draws it and they died terrible terrible deaths and they go through horrible things and they're willing to and all the stuff gross

But here we are the numbers are increasing it's around 15 trillion at 9 points. And it's about 10 trillion the ships and 20 trillion with other making 45 trillion so that would bring it from 1800 to 1350 and they say it's correct which would mean that they're in about 1/5 of their original size really it's presents there are lots of smaller than that. And there's more there's about 1500 people who are leaving Charlotte county who are in Charles county government and they're not really telling anyone so it's not formal yet but we were at about 3,800 and that will bring us to 2300 tomorrow if they do and we think they will. The government employees are going from 7% to 5% tonight and the neighborhood will go from 210 we think to 150 and it was that earlier that portion that last one but the numbers in Florida are going to be worse we just made $200 billion we think that there will be $300 billion evacuating and that would be about 65% of the populace of morlock that would bring their numbers to like one out of 30 people or 35 people that's pretty bad. Three people out of 100. Is more the the people who are sheriffs there were 350 this morning 50 of them hung up their belts and said I'm out they're running around town telling people what's going on they're trying to get support to take over the sheriff's office completely and to kick out the max out of this sheriff's office. This sheriff's office has around 300 morlock and it's input Port Charlotte but Charlotte county has a station just outside the county at about 50,000 so this rabel tried to take over. They didn't sell at taking over the office and they were arrested but that leaves 300 sheriff still on duty and there for some reason not aware of the others it's very strange and it's going on now that the 50 that were arrested going back after the and they're going to try and take it over again. This is creating quite a rift and there's going to be a big fight it is going to be huge it's going to go on tonight and tomorrow and the punta Gorda police have gotten the same idea and it's going to be quite a tour.

-there's a couple more things happening and it's tonight they're going to have a drill up north and Tampa and it's to evacuate and to re-establish and they want to do it with everybody believe you me and it's really weird okay so they're going to evacuate the area and they have to and they're going to look for a devices theyre getting threats every few seconds. They have the expertise and we do too in the foreigners due to pull them out they were going to defuse and we're going to do that. It's a very big area it's really more or less the county that they're in and it's pretty huge then they will begin their March to the north we said Sarasota but they're going north. It's a whole lot of commotion going on here actually with the code and some people are threatening with giant crabs attacking America to try and kidnap my husband they're not going to be here tomorrow and they're in Deliverance the movie and it is going to happen and it's going to happen shortly and it is quite a big movie. .

-they're going to do this in most towns then they're going to have to move my husband and he's going to have to have transportation and some funds to do it and he has an idea that he and Ken win a trip to Hard Rock casino in Tampa and they say that's pretty good and it's not really outlander sir up there their names are up there the intercontest and he and just contest and my husband does and I see it too it kent entered a few of them.

-so there's a couple more things and we're going to talk about them here and showing kind of entering and writing on this papers a big stack of them this is funny because he does that but we are going to go ahead and try and get him new housing and things like that too but hey social security is tired of being made fun of for the idiots taking over and they want to pay their own people and the figured they they try paying our son, sitting there in control of who gets paid and some others like and some and their own the first wave of people who need it though and people that they value and they're pulling off these morlok.

-there's a few more things happening here too kind of disturbing and I am understanding a little odd they're pissing me off all the time but they do it in such a way that it has the lasting effect and they want to make sure of it my husband thinks it's because of missiles on Australia and it's supposed to help them and not have access and not understand their plan so we got a ton of them today down south until did Mack and the foreigners and we get it so you're going to have a fight on your hands and the clones don't too and don't want you getting any blood supply and we do understand other parameters of it yeah thanks because of the small presence now if you grab people and nothing can be done you know we have a problem and that might be accurate so we're going to work to fix that

-in other news there are how about 5,000 people trying to mess with them but really there's a couple things happening today that happened they ran over a few people and they did on purpose to threaten others he said don't run your stupid car in front of us and don't run your body in photos in front of us in about 20 people who keep doing it and they drove over them until they were flat and it was the police they had some trucks and stuff and people have noticed but did not take photos and some photos went out and they chase down the people it's very gross and more people probably try and do it and they will grab them

-there are a lot of stories like that and horrifying things are happening to people and they're trying to keep them out of their places and it's not working

-so worked before the Seminole casino he went up there and he won and he paid bills and it helpful food but really it's also some sort of a scam because you can get money like that with social security and you might have to pay taxes you might have to report it but you think you have to and really stupid people show up and they have stuff on their computer they took from their bosses is a good idea and they were thinking about it after we mentioned it you know really it would work that's a sweet idea it's nice and Ken would have a good time and they were in a hotel room. There's a system they both get really tired and they both pass out and sitting there watching you I'm watching you and boom they were out. One morning Ken got up and went out and got food and for both of them the next morning Chris got up and got food for both of them yeah boy that worked out they said I know I couldn't watch you know to watch the hotel room and watching over each other too he said dangerous place it was kind of funny because Ken was saying anything to me he said he's not this way is he and I said no he's definitely not they go I need you to test and my husband says it's not now I'm not ever if you come over here I'm going to prom with you flat and so I guess I heard that and you didn't say it out loud that was someone else screw you around he goes have you heard flat out loud so they slept after that and they're like two bears snoring and the guys in the next room heard it and in the middle of the night one of them woke up and it was my husband he was saying what the hell is that I didn't hear anything went back to sleep then can woke up and it said what the hell is that and my husband was snoring and he went back to sleep and it really loud. And Preston and Joe we're next door and they said just wanted to get bigger just now they said it cuz they said Jesus Christ said they allowed and they were sleeping and my husband said to camp boy those people snoring louder than hell. Almost all of them went back to the house and said we should understand what that noise is coming from now. It's not a truck it's not a train it's not cops and heavy equipment it's snoring so they all slept pretty good.

3.5gr of Tite Group and the 30gr Barnes gave me average 22 magnum speeds but light loads of H110 and W296 gave me super accuracy but the primer pockets start to open up so I've kinda stoped doing that and switched to. I've tried Tite Group with the 35gr Hornady NTX bullet and 30gr Barnes. I also do the FN5.7X28 but I don't like the brass. I was wondering about the 34gr Dog Town bullets - I bought a box of 500 but have not shot them yet and wondered how they stack up against other bullets in that weight range. My velocities may vary with powder charge but I need to start locating inexpensive bullets in the 30gr to 40gr range since I like to load that type of round so much. Your 22 magnum velocities in a 22 caliber round is one of my favorites and your choice of bullet weights is one of favorites also. I'll never know - due to some health problems I can't do that stuff anymore but I would have preferred to use the 110gr Barnes Tac-TX (kind of expensive) or the good old 110gr V-max. I'll be honest with you, I have not hunted with the 300 Blk but those that have say it the choice of bullets that makes the difference. The 204 Ruger at the same distance will drop them in a 10ft circle. They die eventually as I always plunk them in the ribs. I've shot pigs with a 300 Whisper and 155gr'ers at 1700 fps and it just drills a hole through them. I've not chrono'ed trailboss in a 223 and don't expect to get those speeds with a 40gr'er.Ĭurious as to the knock down power of even a heavy bullet at subsonic speeds. I'm getting 22mag speeds with blue dot in a 223. I also have a 300 Blackout but I only shoot it supersonic. The cost for a suppressor over here is a bit too much for me at this time. for a little more pop I use a modified 7.62X25 cartridge to get the job done.Ī 200 grain bullet at higher than subsonic speed since i don't have a suppressor. Now hunting small varmints like squirrels subsonic with a 223 would be a good way to go if you need to clear the yard and do it quietly. I think that's the reason for the 220 to 240 grain bullets in the blackout. Subsonic is fine but when you want to hunt pigs subsonic you need heavier bullets to do the job. Often wondered why some people don't Trail Boss their 223s instead of going to the expense of 300 Blackouts and such. Using a moderator, the loudest noise was from the firing pin. At 100 yards the bullets were lying on top of the backstop sand, barely damaged, apart from rifling marks. This is a load for 1045 Fps and the trajectory is like a mortar. Has anyone tried running subs and supers through the same rifle without modifications and got reliable cycling?I tried Hodgdons load of 8 grains of Trail Boss and a 100 grain bullets in my 243W. This would be a major draw for me if they did cycle and it would help me overlook the hefty prices for this ammo and pistol.

Has anyone tried subsonics in the pistol and had them cycle reliably? Even being a blowback it is still designed to manage and cycle based on full power rounds and could have problems with a suppressor and lower powered rounds producing less force to overcome the springs? I do like the idea of having 50 rounds in the PS90 where the first 10 or so are subs then 40 supers to follow it up or having 3 or 4 subs in a pistol with 17 full power ones waiting to go. Even a 240gr 300BLK moving the same speed is hit or miss getting through soft armor and it has over 4 times the energy. 22LR size and power so any vest that can be defeated by a. I would seriously doubt any 55gr bullet going 1,000fps would get through soft armor. Has anyone tried running subs and supers through the same rifle without modifications and got reliable cycling? You, Max, and El laid on the floor in front of the couch. Lucas was above you while Mike, Will, and Dustin sat in recliners and bean bags.

"Met a girl crazy for me," you sang in an off tune. Max snorted next to you as Dustin joined in.

Mike was so wrong to think this would be an all nighter. For the fact he, El, Lucas, and Will were all passed out. Dustin was still mindlessly humming along to the tune as you and Max continued to watch the movie.

"Freddie my love, I miss you more than words can say…"

Around the time 'Hound Dog' started playing Max laid her head in your chest. Since then you haven't been able to relax. Your hands were clenched. Your whole body tense.

"Your heart is beating so fast right now," Max mumbled, her cheek squished against you. You chuckled nervously.

"Yeah well, wasn't expecting a pretty girl to use me as a pillow tonight," you stated. She snorted.

"That was cheesy."

"Hehe, welp that's my only way to stop myself from verbally freaking out."

"You don't have to be so tense, Y/n. It's just me." You bit your lip, slowly sinking into the mountain of pillows. Clearing your throat as you wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her the slightest bit closer.

"Alright just don't drool on me when you fall asleep," you muttered, allowing your eyelids to fall closed. Max circled her arm around your waist, cuddling into you.

Oh Gods I'm so excited for this!

Hello my dear friends! It is me, Max, your host and devoted writer. And today I am here to challenge you, my dear followers and friends who support and motivate me!

On January 8th 2021, I have decided to open this blog to share my fics with the world. At first I thought that it would last for a few weeks, and that I would have maybe 50 followers, not more. But here I am today, 5 months later, with 650 followers, and I'm so happy about it.

So I have decided that to celebrate my blog's anniversary and my 650 followers, I would create a writing challenge. Yup, that's it. A challenge.

The deadline is July 8th, my blog's 7 months anniversary (because 7 is my lucky number). On this day, everybody will have to post their works. After that, I will link all of your works in a post (the link to this post will be available in my Masterlist).

When you upload your work, you can tag me in it, of course. But I will also ask you to use the tag Midearthwritings Rewriting Challenge . That way I will be able to easily find them and won't miss anything.

What is the challenge about and how to participate?

It is...About me. Because I am a very egocentric person. No, just kidding.

But it really is about my works. See, I used to be a literature student. And for years I have been asked to re-write pieces that already existed. It is a very common exercise, and it is always extremely fun to do. So I thought...Why not give my followers this exercise?

Below the cut will be listed thirty-five quotes and ten plots. All of them are from my works. Your task will be to write a piece based either on a simple quote, or an entire plot.

There is no limit. You can select as many quotes or plots as you want! To participate just send me a DM or and Ask telling me which one you want to write about.

How long does it have to be?

The Last bell rang throughout the floor and clouds are pushed by the strong wind at dusk.

Gamers in Sword Art Online are all gathered in the plaza in the <<Town of Beginnings>>. Confusion and panic fill the hearts of the gamers within the area as they cannot exit the Plaza. Akuma no Midori just finished taking down a hidden starter’s quest that was the << Herald of the Wolves>>, much of his surprise he was unexpectedly teleported to the <<Town Plaza>>. At first, He was expecting an intervention for taking down a hidden quest early, but why is the whole gaming population of SAO here? Akuma Damian somehow unconsciously holds his weapon under the black cloak he acquired

Red Valkyrie on the other hand has a sense of uncomfortable nostalgia. Max’s Akuma was like this. Yet she did not sense magic or a strong malice intent, Hawkmoth received his punishment that ended the terror of Paris 3 years ago. Valkyrie snaps out of her thoughts and begins to look for Pico and Lavender. Her head clear and breathe steadied, Ladybug Valkyrie begins to look for the siblings among the thick crowd, clutching the sword at hand.

Suddenly their world turns blood red. The once orange sky filled with red hexagons that have the stamped {WARNING} sigils in them. These shapes surrounded the plaza like a dome and then merge into a singularity, but what terrifies the gamers most is the gigantic looming thing that is above all of them. From the Red sigils came a red creature that somehow got into the dome and transformed into a singularity. From the blood slimy creature turned into a grim reaper. The titanic humanoid figure that is robed in red, and face unseen hovered the thousands of people

A booming deep voice sounded the place.

< Attention, Players. Welcome to my world. >

Red Valkyrie turned pale as she had an idea of what is happening. She can’t move in fear and shock, she can only be frozen stiff of what the looming figure says next.

< My name is Kayaba Akihiko. >

< As this moment, I am the only person who can control this world. >

Akuma gazes up to the creator of this world, Damian did not meet Kayaba Akihiko before. Yet his greeting seems something off…

Gamers are whispering to each other as the man Kayaba sends his greetings.

< I’m sure you’ve already noticed that the log out button is missing from your main menu screen >

< I assure you, It is not a defect >

“~We’re trapped here, no it can’t be…~” Akuma quickly turned to the woman who spoke French. That voice… she … wait her words hit him as he remembered Dick’s warning earlier. He watches the tears fell from the other gamer beside him as her face froze in fear. But if what she concludes is true then… This is bad.

Anxiety attack, she is having an attack. What kind of trauma can this event trigger her? ‘I have to calm her down before she does something stupid’

< I repeat. There is no bug >

< This is the feature of Sword Art Online >

“~Please no. Not again~” Akuma can’t stop himself from holding the weaponed arm of the gamer beside him in a steady firm grip. “Miss, you need to calm down and wake up. Please”. He goes to block her sight of Kayaba and starts rubbing her arms, hoping that will snap her out of it.

< You cannot log out of SAO yourselves >

“Miss… Red Valkyrie Wake up!”

Marinette untangled herself from her headspace and looked at the man in front of her. It is his green cool eyes that made her realize a hooded man is holding her steady. Mar Red Valkyrie lets go of the sword she is holding and collapses to the man. Her legs bucked down like they lost their strength and she tried to calm down by taking steady breaths.

< And no one on the outside can shut down your nerve gear >

< Should this be attempted, the transmitter inside the nerve gear will act as a powerful microwave, >

< Destroying the brain, ending your life >

“HAHA, dude you know April fools is over right”

“What a terrible prank”

“Fix the bug already!”

The people are in denial trying to counter that that is a prank and waving off Kayaba’s words. Some try to leave the plaza, but its exits are blocked. Klein tried to deny such a claim, but Kirito only confirmed that the existence of the Internal Battery of the Nerve gear can fry them to their death.

“Tch. Bastard!” The Green-eyed man holding Red Valkyrie exclaimed as he seems to sink in into the situation. Eyes filled with condemnation and his body is shaking in rage, He holds Valkyrie tight. When she looked at Kayaba, news reports that are published about the deaths because of the nerve gear. 'Father, please be safe...'

“Calm Down” She tried to help him. She looked at his ID. ‘Ironic, an Akuma is trying to help me this time’ “Midori no Akuma-san, CALM DOWN.” She commanded him. That in turn made Dami Akuma looked at her, and closed his eyes to compose himself.

< As you can see, News organizations from across the world are picking up on this, and are reporting the death totals >

< Thus, It’s safe to assume that the danger of your nerve gear being removed is quite small >

< I do hope you’ll relax and attempt to finish the game. >

When Akuma calmed down, He let go of Valkyrie. Steps away from her a little once he is sure that she is all right. He was ashamed that in turn, he needed her back then. The woman then slowly grabs his hand and interwinds their fingers. She looks at him straight in the eye, no longer held with fear but a gaze of a warrior replaced with experience as she analyzes the reports floating around the plaza. He wishes that he was surprised at her actions but he must have been tired to take his hand back. All he can do is to follow her gaze.

“It’s a Death game now” “A bastardized survival of the fittest” Akuma and Valkyrie spoke together. They knew as hero/vigilante that their line of work is by far a death sentence, but in these elements, they cannot control anything. Damian has no contact with his family and team. Marinette took off her miraculous. With their chances that Cass and Kagami can call their families and friend to help them out.

“Even pro gamers die in the games. The chances of everyone’s survival are slim to none” Valkyrie said the situation is now heavier. “This is our life now? Are we just dolls for this monster!?” Akuma now wants this man to suffer after what he pulled.

The whole plaza fell silent and listens to Kayaba’s words. ‘Complete what now?!’

< You are now presently on the lowest floor of Aincrad, Floor 1 >

< If you make your way through each dungeon and defeat its floor boss, you can advance to the next level. >

< Beat the final Boss on the 100th floor, and you will have cleared the last hurdle. >

“Clear a hundred Floors? That’s impossible. The Beta-testers never made it anywhere close to that!” a Red head man spoke among the crowd. Akuma now notices Kirito behind them. He pushes to the crowd, approaching the other Beta-tester. When He reaches to his student, “Kirirto!” Akuma called. Kirito in turn in relief to hear her mentor’s voice.

“Sen- eh…Akuma-san” Kirito and the Red-head now see two gamers approaching them. Did Akuma-san bring a friend? The woman seems to be confused. “Are you alright?” Kirito asked.

“No” Akuma answers. Yup this is sensei.

Red Valkyrie is drag by the man among the crowd to what it seems like his friends. “Will you please, Let my arm go” She spoke up. Akuma blinked at the woman then he noticed his hand holding hers and deliberately lets her go. “Where are the others?” Akuma questioned Kirito. “I haven’t seen them from the start” Kirito answered is in a grim expression.

All the Gamers are now opening their [Inbox storage] and what they saw is a... "A mirror?” Kirito questioned. Voicing the thoughts of all the players. Akuma is skeptical, he handles the mirror and looks that the woman. She is just as curious as he is.

Then suddenly the redhead glowed blue and shines in a blinding light.

“KLEIN!”

“GET BACK! KIRITO!”

Akuma instinctively grabs Valkyrie and Kirito and uses his cloak to protect the three of them, despite their protest. But it turns out that all of them are glowing and somehow changing? All of them closed their eyes until the light is gone.

“What’s happening!”

“Your Glowing, I’m GLOWING!”

“WAAAHHHH!!!”

All the gamers glowed until the light died out. Revealing people in different avatars or more likely their real appearances.

“Are you alright, Kirito?” Klien approached the Big man that took Kirito and that lovely lady. Under the man-Midori no Akuma’s cloak is Kirito and Red Valkyrie well… based on their IDs who are both adjusting their eyes. They looked at Klein but is not really Klein. His previously long red hair is now short and he has a goatee.

“Y-Yeah…Who are you?” Kirito is sure that he heard Klein’s voice but who is this? And why is his voice turned higher? Didn’t he change the settings?

“And who are you?” the not Klein asked too. Kirito then looks at the Mirror. His face… His IRL Face, not the custom avatar is showing. He became smaller and lanky, his hair is shorter and his eyes are wider than the olive-shaped eyes he had.

“And you guys are?” Kirito looked where Klein is looking at. “That’s Akuma’s ID…” Kirito now sees the changes. Well, subtle changes. Akuma-san is exotic, to say the least… Now lean muscled, and big about 6ft. His green eyes became more vibrant, is it even possible to have sharper eyes? His skin is dark and his hair chopped short. He does not have his scar on his face anymore.

His Friend, on the other hand, has changed a lot, Klein has to gaze at her ID twice “Red Valkyrie-san?” as he checked on her. She lost her pink hair and now she has long black hair that flows to her back. She looks Eurasian, Big blue eyes, slender yet muscled too, she lost a couple of inches.

The two adults looked at their mirrors, they are now at their changed avatars. The gamers are now scared and confused about what happened. Surprise and resignation wash her as Valkyrie takes a deep breath. Akuma doesn’t really care about his appearance. But under his clothes, he is worried about another thing. ‘Can they scan my scar?’

“Which means…”

“You’re Kirito?”  "You’re Klein?”

Both the boys now realize what happened. “But, How?” Yet Klein is now really confused.

“That scan… The NerveGear covers your entire head with a high-density signal device, So it can see what you look like.” Kirito started to explain. “But our body shape…”

Klein continues “When we first used the NerveGear, we have to calibrate it, right? You have to touch your whole body all over."

“O-oh right, that must be where it got the data.”

“But... But… Why? What the hell’s the point of all this?” Klein tries to concentrate and come up with an answer but with all the changes and revelations, he wants to keep up.

“I’m sure he’ll tell us.” Kirito points the grim

Akuma and Valkyrie gaze at Kayaba in such hatred. ‘I won’t back down to a Hawkmoth wanna be!’ ‘I’ll get you for this!’

< “Why would Kayaba Akihiko, developer of Sword Art Online go such lengths?” >

“Kayaba” Kirito grounded himself. In his anger, he gripped his fist tight.

And at the end of the message, Kayaba disappeared in red smoke through the gaps of the sigils above. After that, the sigils disappeared. The dusk shines on the plaza once more.

Time stands still to the frozen crowd. Their mind is racing in thoughts of their family, friends, love-ones, their priorities, and their jobs. All players are equal on this floor that starts at 250HP, If they have carelessly done stupid and make the wrong decisions they will… DIE!

After they realize what they have done... Panic and chaos ensued

They started wailing, cursing, begging they have done it all.

And nothing changes.

“AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!”

“LET ME OUT!!”

“I HAVE A FAMILY! Let me go!”

“I have a meeting after this!’

“NO NO NO NO NO !!!!”

In the crowd, Akuma, Valkyrie, Klein, and Kirito acted fast. When the barrier is broken down, The beta-testers took their partners and ran towards the exit. Away from the mob and panicking people.

“Come with us, Now!” Akuma places his hand on Valkyrie’s shoulder and gestures to follow him. There is something about the Red Valkyrie that made him pay attention to her. At least let him try little to guide her.

“Alright.” Valkyrie follows him as the four of them sprinted out the Plaza. She might be in trouble taking a stranger’s hand. Yet it felt right and somehow made her safe and sweeps her off beyond the disorder.

Running out of the marketplace and she cannot help herself to leap from stall to stall, use railings and streetlights to launch herself, and uses the roofs to gain more ground. Jumping, rolling, sliding, grappling and other actions help her think. When she concentrates on her actions her thoughts follow that makes no room to be distracted by fear and distress. Parkour, is somehow an effective therapy that made Marinette Dupain-Cheng less a target from Hawkmoth’s influence.

‘That was interesting. So, Kayaba did successfully make a VR world into reality. After he created the Cardinal System, he used the beta-testers to report for configurations, glitches, and repairs in the system. Does the if the system…’ She thought as leaped to another roof. ‘The system must also be self-updating, thus the progress of each gamers’ account is not easily erased’. ‘If survival is what we need then we have to be stronger, Wait ... we?’. Red Valkyrie pauses on a street where the man- Akuma also stopped in front of her.

In this quiet intersection, she is alone with a man, ' a handsome man... Bad Marinette! SNAP OUT OF IT '  She's not sure if she can blush in the game but she would be completely flustered at the closeness of this giant that is looking down on her.

Akuma is looking at her with indifferent eyes, yet his voice dripped in curiosity. “That was an interesting run. ~ Mademoiselle  ~” The man said. His brow was raised as he fully looked at her once again.

Yea i really hate myself. I really ate a lot but I will not vent abt that bc I'm so fucking tired of that.

I miss the will and motivation that I had on my good days. Now it's all about trying to let myself choose one snack or have one cheat meal and everything falls apart. So I'm going to make a promise to myself starting today. And I will post it here so everyone can see it, so it will be more difficult to fail it because it would be fucking embarrassing. Also because I need to save it somewhere.

I really want to do this. I know it's hard to find motivation but I really need to keep on mind that the end result will be better than this suffering of seeing myself on the mirror. I will respect my limit of calories and I will follow my diet unless there are some extreme situation that I could not handle (but we're not going to concentrate on that right now). I really want to be skinny and be comfortable with my body I'm tired of seeing myself obese and super fat and having a huge lack of control. I just want to be perfect. Dainty fragile skinny. I don't care what other people think I just want to have that control that will make me feel pure, clean. So I will keep a limit of 1000 calories but I will try to do a daily intake between 200 calories and 800 max. I'll try to exercise everyday. Mi goal is being on my gw by the start of December because it's my birthday. I don't want to keep this routine in my life where I organize my foods and then I try to be more "permissive" ("one snack will not do me gain weight" or "eating 50 calories more or 100 calories more will not make a difference"... Well actually it does and I'm tired of that) because I always end up screwing it all up.

I really know that if I push myself and I put pressure on myself I can make it and I can reach my goal weight if I just have more will and more sense of control .I can't lose that. Just like Lady Gaga says in AHS : "a woman can only be pushed so far, and I'm right at the edge". Like... omfg I want that!! I know I can, I can reach my ideal body type, my fucking final comfort with my body and all the looks that I want to get when I'm skinny for real. But only if I follow my rules. So resuming this long ass promise all up in a little summary: I will control my calories and I will not have any more permissions. I will start being more obsessive, I really need it so that's when I can finally start to loose some real weight , and not foods that make me gain weight. I need to start starving properly. I will starve properly.

For motivation I have to remember that a lot of anas literally reached their goal weights because they were being obsessive... it's not about eating 5 almonds a day, it's just about controlling and knowing that if I really respect my amount of calories and I work out, I can make it by eating.. idk, ig 600 calories a day(? ... Anyways I hope that I don't fail to this promise, you're all are witness of this thehehe

Birdwatching

We have all the local corvids around here: jackdaws, rooks, magpies, crows, hoodie crows, even a couple of jays. They’re part of the background noise, but this afternoon there was a lot more cawing and cackling from the meadow than usual, so I got the binoculars and took a look.

Then I got the SLR and zoom telephoto, because what I was seeing was this:

All those little dots are hoodie crows.

27 of them, with a few jackdaws tagging along as jackdaws will.

Here’s their problem.

Not very clear, I’m afraid: the first photo shows the distance at which I was shooting, and even the max extension of an 18-200 telephoto isn’t meant for that sort of range.

However...

It’s a buzzard; we have two breeding pairs in the area.

Note for US readers, this buzzard is Buteo buteo, a relative of the Red-tailed Hawk Buteo jamaicensis; they even sound similar.

It’s nothing to do with the Turkey Vulture / Buzzard Cathartes aura, which I suspect got its name when Europeans saw it do the same turning, gliding flight and thought “Buzzard!”

The odd part was that hoodies mob buzzards with relative impunity even when they’re only in ones and twos, so I couldn’t work out why this large gang was being so wary.

It turned out - thanks to the binos if not the telephoto lens - that the buzzard was eating another crow.

I guess one of this year’s juveniles learned too late that sometimes mobbed raptors don’t just put up with it. After a bit the buzzard took its dinner to the tree in the background, again without being chivvied, and though the hoodies followed and formed another audience like the one in the photos, they left well alone.

When the buzzard finally flew away towards that wooded hill in the distance, it craftily went in a line that kept the treetrunk between it and the watching crows, and got clean away unnoticed. Corvids are smart; it looks like buzzards aren’t too dim either.

@dduane​ commented that the next time one of our local buzzards flies across the meadow in view of any hoodies there’s likely to be uproar. I suspect the uproar may be a bit more circumspect than usual.

It made for an interesting quarter-hour, anyway, and the only thing missing was a David Attenborough commentary... :-)
