Unhinged observation that the fandom been knew but one I want to take from another angle!

Uzui didn't retire because of his injuries

He was able to put up an amazing fight with Gyutaro with just one hand and after the loss of his eye.

It could be due to adrenaline but we also see during the training arc that he's still as formidable as ever, even Tanjiro had a hard time keeping up with him at first. He wouldn't have a hard time fighting demons.

So why did he retire?

Uzui retired because of his wives.

Let me explain:

Uzui loves his wives more than anything else in the world and he was so close to losing them in the entertainment district. Especially in the scene where Gyutaro attacked Hinatsuru, for the first time you could hear the fear and terror in his voice.

There's also the pain his wives went through when they thought they were going to lose him too.

Hinatsuru was the one to ask that they should retire and he had to respect their wishes because he can't ask them to retire while he still fights because not only would that be insulting to their abilities but because he knows his wives would follow him to the ends of the earth, so in order to keep them safe he has to keep himself safe as well.

So here's my take:

I don't think Uzui would have gained a Demon Slayer mark even if Tanjiro had unlocked his before the Entertainment arc and that's because Uzui has made peace with his past. He was able to move away from the confines of toxic masculinity in his family, is able to be true to himself and live life flamboyantly with the women he loves.

He is aware of his strengths and his weaknesses, he says this to Gyutaro acknowledging the fact that there are other Hashira that are way more skilled that he is and he is fine with this.

All the mark bearers have some kind of hangup, trauma or want that's holding them back but Uzui is different, he's satisfied because everything he ever needed and wanted has been with him all along.

Plus fighting demons AND servicing three wives, I mean a man can only do so much. It's all about priorities.

In Conclusion, Uzui said hoes before bros and I'm here for it 🙌🏼

It feels like a certain someone would have programmed him with a special scan to locate said spots…but shhh you didn't hear it from me.

He believes that the laughter it produces can help boost moods, and according to the Internet, it can! 

So a few little medicinal cheer-up sessions aren't a rare occurrence in their group.

As I've said before, he was definitely given some little nails/quill tips that can pop out of his fingers on one hand to tickle his patients

Will occasionally tease, but it's super minimal. He likes to make his lee laugh just hard enough to make them feel better, no more and no less (unless they ask!)

GoGo’s got a rougher style, preferring to firmly squeeze and claw her lee's poor spots. Loves seeing their red, dumbstruck expressions as they laugh their heads off.

Doesn't happen often, but she will get lee moods. Mainly when she accidentally walks in on a tickle fight.

Thighs are her worst spot and get the loudest snort-laughs you can imagine. After that, there's mainly just giggle zones. Sides, underarms, calves, and knees get little squeaks if you've got nails.

General:

Switch for sure; I'd say 50/50. She's always ready to cheer up her friends, whether it be by giving or receiving some silly affection (⁠ ⁠ꈍvꈍ⁠)

Super chill about liking it. Honey is honest to herself and her friends about her likes and boundaries. If someone talks about liking it, she'll playfully support them.

(And, depending on their mood, help them with a first proper session)

Lee:

The purest giggles and laughter known to humankind

GoGo can vouch for it: Honey's laugh can brighten pretty much anyone's day.

She tries not to, though she's definitely a squirmer. Will kick her legs and flap her hands to try and keep from pushing the ler away.

Absolutely adores tickle hugs! If she happens to be having a hard day, a few wiggly fingers in a warm embrace will cheer her right up! ♡⁠(⁠Ӧ⁠ｖ⁠Ӧ⁠｡⁠)

Her worst spots are her underarms, followed by her knees and belly button. 

Besides that, basically a walking tickle spot; wiggling fingers almost anywhere get her squeaking.

Gets lee moods pretty often; she'll stretch a lot more, and sometimes just sit near GoGo with her arms above her head. Her friends get the message.

Ler:

Such a soft ler, so sweet and affectionate

Will giggle along with her lee, and loves giving out sweet praises. 

“Aww, I love your laugh! It's so cute!” “Oh my goodness, your cheeks are the color of my Gum-buns!” “You really like this spot, huh? I'll give it some extra love, just for you!”

She'd be the kind of girl to carry a clean make-up brush specifically for that reason. Drag it along a palm, sneakily flutter it along a sad friend's neck and ears… Opportunities are endless!

Checks in with them every few minutes, just to make sure her lee is still having fun.

While he's usually pretty touch adverse, he can enjoy tickling. He's just gotta be in the right mood and around the right people.

He gives me heavy lee-leaning vibes; he might tickle someone on occasion, like Hiro. 

His friends respect his boundaries, and always make sure to ask before trying anything touch-related with him.

Lee:

When he does get a lee mood, most of his friends can point it out pretty easily. He'll smile more, twist his fingers and flinch at the smallest touches. 

It's obvious, but they don't touch him until he shows he wants them to. That normally means a muttered ask, or more commonly, “the look.”

He'll meet their eyes for just a second before looking away, a small blush on his cheeks as he tries and fails to speak any human language. That's all they need to get started.

Even though he clearly asked for the tickles, he refuses to react at first. He's too sensitive to stay totally silent, but he tries.

Bubbly, restrained giggles. He'll bite his lip like there's no tomorrow, curling into himself. It's pretty adorable to watch

Eventually, when he does crack, he just lets himself go loose. Loud laughter, squeaks, and eventually little hiccups. 

Worst spot is his ribs, though he melts at his arms and palms being tickled.

Again, rare, but it happens.

His lee will almost always be Hiro, though occasionally he'll get Fred if he's being annoying.

The silly boy would have no problem admitting he likes it! He’ll tease his friends occasionally, abusing his “can confidently say the t-word at any time” powers.

General HCs

Met Ominis in Charms. They’ve sat next to each other since first year and despite sharing a dorm they didn’t speak until theirs charms class. Ominis keeps to himself so I don’t think this is completely out of the realms of possibility, but it drove Sebastian insane. He was so curious about him, the way he moved around the castle etc, and it all came tumbling out when Ominis placed his wand to a book to read. Sebastian noticed he was ‘reading’ faster than him and no one reads faster him. So he asked him how and he was genuinely so excited and fascinated by him that Ominis let his guard down. Rest is history.

Plays as a Keeper in Quidditch. He’s the only one Imelda trusts in the position. Although when they play friendlies and there’s nothing at stake she makes him play beater so she can ogle him afterwards. Compliments him on his ‘form’. Insists he’s not blushing he’s just red in the face from Quidditch.

He’s the shortest of the bois. He’s still tall but Garreth is an inch taller than him and when Ominis stands up properly he’s way taller than both. Doesn’t really care but will get wound up easily if Leander says anything.

Favourite subject: Charms…I know but hear me out. He’s good a DADA without trying. He likes Charms because he has to think about different uses for spells to suit his needs. Look at the way he immediately think of Accio for other purposes than bringing objects to you. It challenges him.

I think Him, Garreth and Ominis are bros…Garreth and Sebastian are both annoying mischievous bastards you know they’d bond over stupid shit. ‘Oh I stole this potions book from the Restricted Section for you’ and ‘I made this potion that turns your Confringo to lightening’ they would just encourage each others bullshit and send Ominis to an early grave.

His Boggart is everyone leaving him or him being alone. I go in detail here

As someone who has lost a parent, I’m fairly confident in saying I think after a while Seb will accept what has happened to him. After that, he’ll look into the Mirror of Erised and see himself and Anne, older and healthy. Anne is pregnant with Garreth, who walks up behind Sebastian and ruffles his hair. He sees Ominis and Imelda in the distance laughing and blowing raspberries at Anne and Garreths’ other baby.

Patronus

Right so hear me out… cause some of these are…questionable

Lion - He’s Loyal, fierce and is clearly a leader. I’ve written so much chatter between Ominis, Garreth and Seb where they talk about Seb being a Gryffindor that it just won’t leave me. Because he just is. The ONLY reason he’s a Slytherin is because of his morally grey attitude. Everything else…total Gryffindor.

King Cobra - They eat other snakes (would annihilate Ominis’ family in sight and you can’t convince me otherwise) and are among the smartest of the species. Sebastian is exactly that. Also I know that his Patronus being a snake would amuse Ominis no end. I don’t know if this is how Patronus’ work but the idea of Ominis being able to speak to Sebastian’s Patronus and turn it against him makes me giggle. True King of Slytherin.

Crow - Very Intelligent. Also if you google ‘Crow Traits’ it literally says Inquisitive and Mischievous …They also symbolise Death but also Intelligence and Loyalty. Need I say more

Speaking of Patronus’ and his similarity to Harry:

One of the memories he uses to conjure a Patronus is of his parents. He can’t remember if it’s real. He’s spoken to Anne about it and she remembers it too but slightly differently. It’s just them sitting in their living room sat in his moms lap whilst she reads to him.

Second is the first time Slytherin win a Quidditch match in sixth year. Imelda’s jumping around celebrating after catching the snitch and he joins her. The team are all jostling around and he bumps into her. There’s a moment where he’s holding her upright to protect her from the crowd and she looks so small…it’s the moment he realises he’s got feelings for her and later in seventh year she tells him the same.

Family

This isn’t really a headcanon just something I always think about. I feel like Sebastian is what could have happened Harry. Both lose their parents and both are left with abusive family members. I feel like if the Dursleys had magic, Harry could have very easily turned out like Sebastian.

For Victoria

Calls Victoria, Vic or V exclusively. She’s never Victoria, she could never annoy him enough for him to full name her.

Teased her the once and she responded that was actually an Angel and would never do anything wrong. From then on she’s Angel.

Relationshipy Stuff

I like the two sides of the same coin aspect of him and Anne. They’re both mischievous little shits but I think Anne has compassion that Sebastian lacks. He has no way of looking at a problem and just listening to it he *has* to resolve it. We see that with Anne’s curse.

So if his partner ever has a problem he’ll go out of his way to resolve it. Even if it was just something small he’ll go over the top.

I have a cute thought of Imelda getting splinters from Quidditch and he researches into charms and salves and all sorts for her. Gifts her a balm for her hands to protect her and she’s like “Seb, I haven’t seen you in weeks…is this what you’ve been doing?”

Again I’m probably projecting because I personally don’t want kids but I don’t think he’d want children. He’s be too scared of what happened to him either if he died and left them or if he turned out like Solomon. Plus Imelda would be busy being a Boss Bitch for a family so he’s happy as is.

Okay. I need to get this out because this idea is literally haunting me.

So, welcome to my brainrot on how the fight between Izuku and Shigaraki / OFA and OFA will play out and how Katsuki could play a part in it 🙌🏼 Even though I know it's never gonna happen like this but anyways, let me dream a little.

[Edit: I wrote this before chapter 403 came out and our beloved returned 🧡]

I always come back to imagining the final, crucial confrontation would somehow end up happening in the vestige realm with Izuku und Shigaraki being on opposite sites and AFO trying to steal OFA from Izuku, just like in the Paranormal Liberation War Arc.

And I feel like this time the battle of emotions might be more challening for Izuku and the former OFA holders. Because, yes, they are still seven people and All Might's vestige has even more to bring to the table after his fight against AFO but so has AFO himself and Shigaraki as well. I mean, the LOV has been defeated, all his friends are in critical states, he's feeling used by AFO etc. etc.

So imagine, the forces collide and it seems to look not so well for our heroes, doom hanging not just over them but over all of Japan.

But that's when Katsuki steps in.

And in my head it plays out like this: Katsuki is entering the scene, maybe only a panel of his shoulders (him being in his UA uniform) is shown, the his feet, the drawing just hinting on him and suddenly the OFA side gets brighter and stronger and all sorts of emotions fill the space.

Namely, Katsuki's confidence, his anger, his ambition, his insecurities, his determination - with every step there're more emotions.

And then he stops, right next to Izuku. The greenhead is just shellshocked, not understanding how Katsuki is in the vestige realm to begin with and he's also so overwhelmed to see Katsuki looking like himself and not like the corpse Izuku had to witness earlier.

Katsuki, now standing next to his nerd, looks at Izuku with that soft expression that has been driving us all crazy lately and a new wave of Katsuki's emotions starts filling the realm: Tenderness, deep regret about his past behaviour, the frustration he used to feel towards Izuku when they were little and a new frustration about Izuku being too reckless, mixed with gut wrenching worry and fear, pride about Izuku's development and so, so, so much more, but all of this is nothing compared to when Katsuki holds out his hand to Izuku and-

Love. The love-kanji becomes dominant, taking up a full panel or even a full page, boosting OFA's fight against AFO's grip.

Izuku is still too stunned to think or understand anything but he would never reject Katsuki, so his hand moves on its own, wanting go grap the blond's but then he staggers, the thought of "control your heart" paralyzing him.

Because how can Izuku control his heart when it comes to Kacchan? Suddenly he's way too scared to take Katsuki's hand because everything could blow up in their faces and they can't risk one single slip against their opponents.

Daigoro, the fifth holder, who said those words all those months ago, is the one to snap Izuku out of his spiraling by saying: "Don't worry, kid, following your heart is important too."

That's all Izuku needs. He launches forward, intertwining his fingers with Katsuki's and slinging his other arm around the blond's shoulders.

Izuku lets all his suppressed feelings for Katsuki come to the surface, a storm of emotions rages through the realm and that's when AFO is hurled out of the domain, maybe even Shigaraki but leaving little scared Tenko there.

And there they are, Izuku and Katsuki, clinging to each other for a heartfelt moment until Katsuki mumbles something like "Don't you still have an ass to kick out there?"

Izuku leans back, tears in his eyes and makes Katsuki promise that they'll see each other again in the real word, that Katsuki has to come back to him. Katsuki makes the promise with a smirk, asking Izuku where else he was supposed to go.

Sharing a last, calm eyecontact in all of this chaos, Izuku gets back to end things with what's left of AFO and maybe even Shigaraki and the final fight is over, Edgeshot and Jeanist manage to save Katsuki, hero society needs to be rebuilt and all of that stuff and ~ the end.

And I'm very aware of the fact that it's not gonna play out like this but storywise it would work! Balancing the "control your heart"-theme in a more healthy way because up until now, it only has lead Izuku to supress stuff. And it would also resolve Katsuki's presence in the vestige realm and would make him the key to winning against AFO.

Because we all agree he has to play some part in it, right? But in my eyes, there's no way Katsuki could return to the real live battle field. I mean, half of his face and his dominant arm have been crushed, not to mention his heart (!) exploded (!!).

So. Yeah, that's it, that's the brainrot living rentfree in my head.

Willy Wonka X Felix Fickelgruber playlist

Nobody asked for this, but yes I am that weirdo who makes playlists for my ships and I am OBSESSED with Willy/Felix at the moment so for anyone who wants it here is a playlist I put together for them… it’s under the cut because I’ve included both a playlist link, and a pretty lengthy analysis of why I thought each song fit them, in case anyone wants to hear more of my rambling thoughts about this pair ❤️🥰🫶

1) A Change in My Life by Rockapella - this one is super sappy but I LOVE IT FOR THEM 🥹💜🫶💚 so I imagine this is Felix, who has had to do so many things with the cartel that he feels guilty about, and I think Felix is deep down a genuinely good guy, but who just did what he felt he had to do in his life… but because of that I think he has regrets and a lot of shame about some stuff in his past (and even still some shame about his origins and coming from a ‘poor’ background), and this song is about how Willy makes him feel like he doesn’t need to be ashamed anymore. Willy has changed him and changed his life and given him someone to care for and ‘give back’ to, and to pour all of the nurturing and love he has into, and how much he appreciates the way Willy has brought him real love and purpose and lifted him out of some darkness. (Shut up yes it’s sappy but they’re ADORABLE and SWEET and I just love this dynamic… obviously Felix takes care of Willy a lot as the dom/sugardaddy but Willy also helps Felix in a lot of ways and he may not even always realize how much Felix needs him too 🥺🫶). Also, they’ve BOTH changed each others lives for the better so this could very well be how Willy thinks about Felix also because he has had a tough life up until now also. 💚💜🙌🏼😭❤️

So, couldn’t have a Willy/Felix playlist without some Bowie and this is the PERFECT song for them imho. Felix *never* expected someone like Willy to come into his life and captivate him the way he has. Felix has meticulously laid out plans for his life and for someone like Willy to come in and make him want to make room for him in Felix’s already perfectly crafted existence is something very special indeed. 💜💚

5) Pretty Boy by Poutyface - Actually headcanon that both Willy and Felix could probably sing/think this about each other. They’re both such pretty boys and I completely headcanon that they both like being called pretty and feeling feminine/delicate so yeah. This is both of them and I will hear no arguments ☺️✨💜💚✨

I think I mostly imagine Felix in this song because I have a very strong headcanon about his having slept his way to the top and used his sexuality and appearance to make money and business connections when he was younger. I think he worries about Willy falling into a life like this too, but I don’t think he has yet very much luckily. That’s why I’m glad Willy met Felix so young, that way Felix can take care of him and protect him. 🥰💯🫶 but yeah Felix was definitely taken advantage of and used for his body/sexuality when he was younger as a way to build his career.

7) Control Freak by New Medicine - This song is just SO Felix-coded to me… especially headcanon that this is him before he met Willy. Like I think Willy helps him ease the reigns that he has SO tightly on himself, because the healthy dom/sub relationship with Willy gives him a positive outlet for some of his type-A/perfectionist tendencies, and caring for/having compassion for Willy eventually helps him be a little gentler with himself, too. 🥹💚 but yeah, this song totally speaks to the intense obsessive control and fastidiousness he displays especially in his early life.

8) A Drink to Death by That Handsome Devil- This one is angsty AF, but I think of Felix when I hear it and his obvious self image and self worth issues and how the more he falls for Willy and the closer they get, the more afraid he would become of Willy eventually leaving him, because there obviously is a big age difference and I know I’ve said this before but especially for someone with such a deep perfectionism and need for control, time/age is especially scary and depressing because it’s one of the few elements of your life (and appearance) that you don’t have control over. Time happens to everyone, no matter what you do, and Felix would really lament getting older, especially while he’s in love with someone so young and innocent like Willy. So this isn’t actually how it would happen because I do think Willy really cares about Felix and wouldn’t hold his age against him, but this song does reflect how Felix’s poor self esteem makes him fear Willy will feel eventually 😭💚🥺💜 I wanna hug Felix so much.

9) Limelight by Alan Parsons Project - BIG dreamer-Willy vibes. This song is about someone with a dream who wants it to come true so badly and just keeps pushing on despite repeated rejection and I just really associate it with Willy. I feel like this is how he would explain his need to succeed to Felix, and Felix would see that it was deeper than just being about the chocolate itself or the business to Willy. Part of his drive is this need to fulfill what he believes is his purpose. And I think Felix would empathize with that and that’s part of why he would actually end up wanting to be a mentor to Willy, not just a lover and sugardaddy, but someone who supported those dreams and that ‘destiny’ Willy felt he had also. 🤩💜✨

GUILT

A vashmeryl fanfic, how two broken person might just be each other’s salvation.

Author’s notes : hiii, this is my very very FIRST fanfic ever! Please excuse my baby writing, I hope you’ll be able to enjoy my silly little scenarios 💙

Context : The story takes place two years after July’s incident (stampede lore). After Roberto’s death, Meryl and his niece, Milly, who is now her subordinate, found Vash and Wolfwood again. Thus began their group travel across noman’s land.

Note : Fluff this chapter, will be smut in the next one! Also some angst I guess? Not proofread bc I’m too impatient 🙌🏼

CHAPTER 1 :

“To those I couldn’t protect”

When they set foot inside the tiny inn, the smell of alcohol and freshly cooked food submerged them. The bar was full, people were eating, laughing and probably telling each other all about their adventures on the desertic planet.

It felt great. Finally seeing an ounce of what humanity is supposed to look like. These small moments of rest, which managed to lighten the memories of blood and fear, were cherished by the group.

Milly and wolfwood decided to register the rooms for the night, while Vash and Meryl desperately looked for a free table to relieve their hunger and dire need of a beer. It’s Vash that managed to find one first, used to move swiftly and rapidly around people to snatch the first spot that cleared up. So Meryl went to the bar to take all the orders.

By the time she came back, Milly and Wolfwood were back, already chatting with the blond man. As soon as she sat down again, Vash got some playing cards out of his bag to entertain the group while waiting for the food to arrive.

As time went on, the food was already downed, noting it really didn’t take long considering their level of starvation, and most of them were already on their third beer of the night. As usual, Vash and Wolfwood are the loudest, bickering about who won that last round or betting who will win the next. Milly, who already had way too much to drink for her small tolerance, puts oil to the fire like usual while Meryl gave up the idea of calming them long ago. Even though this scene might seem chaotic on the outside, it was that kind of night that the group wouldn’t trade for anything.

Seeing the smiles of her friends, Meryl feels both pure joy and sadness. She can’t help but feel the dreadful feeling of guilt, gripping at her back like a vulture would at the corpse of its long decayed prey. That is how she felt, at least, consumed from the inside, slowly and painfully.

He could have been here. Had she learned how to use a weapon before, how to defend herself earlier, maybe then, her mentor would still be at this table, judging the group like the old alcoholic man he was. But she knew that deep down he would have enjoyed it too.

While her face tries its best to hide her inner turmoil, a certain pair of eyes behind orange tinted glasses catches that slight change in the mood of the small reporter. But he doesn’t say anything. While he’s not sure what the issue is, that expression she has, he feels like he knows it far too well. What he does instead is to try and snap her out of her phase by pinching her between her eyes.

“Your turn to play, meryl. Or have you given up on first place already?”

She mimics a giggle. “Hah, never.”

Wolfwood won, again. Even though him and the blond gunsman keep arguing about getting revenge, the state of Milly, barely able to form a proper sentence anymore, rings the bell of this evening’s end. After waving the others goodnight and bringing her subordinate back to her room, Meryl doesn’t feel quite ready to sleep yet. She felt exhausted, yes, but it was like that sweet taste of rest wasn’t allowed to her.

She keeps fidgeting under her blankets, staring at the ceiling. The horror of July’s incident keep on flashing before her eyes. Giving up on sleeping for now, the short girl opens the window, hoping the fresh air of the night will soothe her. Her skylight window stood on the highest part of the roof, making it easy for people to go out and sit on top of the inn for some stargazing. As she opens it, she notices a bright red cloth swinging lightly to the desert’s night wind, hiding partially the view of the stars.

Looking up, she sees Vash, sitting a bit higher, heads up and seemingly lost in thoughts.

She struggles a bit to climb out the window, but manages to land shakily on her two feet. The blond, as sharp as always, notices her right away.

‘’Ah, Meryl. I didn’t realize that was your room. Sorry, did I wake you up?’’ He says, giving her his signature soft and calming smile.

She shakes her head. ‘’ Not at all, I was still awake. Just thought a red curtain isn’t usually what I expect to see when looking out the window.’’

He giggles at her comment and taps down next to him, inviting her to sit beside him. ‘’Haha, sorry about that. Never remember how long that coat is.’’

‘’Shut it, I’m sure you sat there on purpose.’’

He probably did. And that thought made her smile. She knew he somehow never failed to notice when she was going through some internal turmoil. He always tried to cheer her up with small gestures, or by giving her a comforting but silent presence.

It was both incredible and stupid. How such simple gestures, coming from a specific person, could already lighten her mood and make her feel like her vultures are now trapped behind that person’s protective aura.

So she sits beside him, now also glancing up at the sky.

‘’Can’t sleep?’’ Vash asks, not looking at her.

‘’Can’t sleep.’’

‘’Do you want to talk about it?’’ He sounded really insecure formulating his question.

Now that surprised her. Yes he found ways to comfort her in some ways or another, but he never asked her directly, too scared to overstep maybe. ‘’About what?’’

‘’Ah, well, you looked like you were kind of out of it these days. You often seems to drift into your own world.’’ He seems like he instantly regrets asking.

‘’ I mean it would be bad if you spaced out while driving, we already had so many acciden— OW!’’ He’s interrupted by her fingers instantly pinching his ear.

‘’No comments on my driving skills.’’ Meryl pouts.

A bright laugh emanates from him, one that makes the world sound like a damn heaven. The reporter feels a light shade of red invading her plump cheeks, and a small smile breaks her pouty expression.

A comfortable silence sets itself between the two and the night sky. All you can hear are small gushes of wind and far away laughter from the last people getting out of the city’s bars. Sitting beside each other like this, enjoying the most simple of things, that might just be enough to her. She daydreams again, but this time about a long life, simple but always together. But when her fantasies of daily life happiness alongside the group crosses her mind, it strikes her again. The guilt.

She feels her throat closing in on itself, her heart banging rapidly against her ribcage but this time not from silly feelings towards her tall friend. Suddenly it’s hard for her to breathe and the memories flash once again. She sees Roberto, lying on the ground, head on her lap as he gives her his empty derringer. He can’t utter anything distinguishable enough for her to understand, his words are muffled by blood choking sounds. Her hand is pressed firmly where the reason of his pain is situated on his throat, covering her in amounts of blood she had never seen before.

He was telling her something. While handing that gun, he was telling her something! But she couldn’t understand it! Was he blaming her? Cursing her? Telling her to pick that damn gun and finally decide to defend herself. Maybe if she had done so earlier, he wouldn’t have had to take that hit instead of her. He would still be alive, drinking to his heart’s content, enjoying his cigarettes and writing simple articles that satisfied him plenty.

Her ears start ringing, her sight gets blurry while her eyes gets filled with tears and— she feels warmth. An incredibly comforting and soft warmth. If she could she would sink even deeper in it, until it was all she could feel.

Her eyes allow her to see the dark blue sky again, and she realizes that Vash had wrapped his arms around her, his head pressing on top of hers. He had stayed silent that whole time, giving her the time to come back around at her own pace. It felt like an eternity in her head, but when did he move that close to her? That means her saw her cry right? How embarrassing.

‘’Vash’’

He slighty flinch when her voice finally greets his ear again. It really must have been a while then.

‘’Meryl…’’ he’s interrupted by her arms encircling him tightly this time.

She’s embarrassed to have been seen in such a fragile state, but she’s so tired. Since her mentor’s death, she didn’t have the occasion to speak about her feelings with anyone, not wanting to burden Milly with the mention of her uncle’s death, or Vash, who probably had other things to worry about. Besides, telling him about her guilt felt like whining about insignificant matters when she knew how bad he felt for everything that happened these past 150 years. At the end of the day, she wanted to be there for him, she followed him exactly for that. He didn’t have to reciprocate her feelings or to bother about her struggles. As long as she could see his genuine smile, she was content.

But tonight, the pain is too big, too deep. And so she abandons herself to his, oh so warm embrace.

‘’I’m sorry, I… I just need a moment…’’

‘’Take as long as you need, Meryl.’’

Still resting his head on top of hers, Vash feels frustrated. He never wanted to see her in that state. Her soft smile and her joyful and sparky way of putting him back in his place when needed, were some of the rare things that kept him alive. He’s even mad at himself, if he could just have the courage to talk to her about it, to be her listening ear, someone she could confide in! He felt like he had no right to be the one to give her advice. After all, he had been the reason for the pain of so many before. But that look of despair he just saw on her face minutes ago does it. He can’t bear to remain a coward and leave her alone in this anymore. So he talks.

‘’I want to be there for you.’’

He surprises her once again.

‘’No matter what it is. No matter what you do. I want to listen and be there for you. Like you have for me.’’

It takes everything in her to not burst into desperate cries right here and there. And it takes even more to finally open her heart to him.

She weakly opens her mouth.

‘’Ever since July— no, ever since Jeneora Rock, the guilt has never left me. I don’t know how to live with myself, knowing my weakness and cowardice is the reason people have been hurt and even died.’’

She takes a deep breath.

‘’ After Jeneora Rock, I was sure I was going to change! I was going to make a difference and finally face the danger head on instead of running away!

But I was too pretentious, too stupid. Roberto died, and it’s all my fault. After dragging him along all of this, I should have at least been able to protect him, to save him! I should have… I should—!’’ The tears start falling down again making it hard to voice her thoughts, overwhelming her.

‘’My weakness, no matter what I do, it won’t change.. Roberto should have been the one to survive that day, not m—‘’ She’s immediately stopped, stunned by Vash who suddenly broke the hug to tightly place her face between his hands. He’s now looking at her intently, eye to eye level, his face a bit too close for her already racing heart.

She attempts to say his name. ‘’Don’t ever say that again.’’

How could he have not realized? Of course she would feel guilty about the things that happened, she cared so deeply for her friends, it should have been evident that those evenings would have gotten to her. Hell, he knew that feeling far too well himself. Yet his cowardice left her alone to deal with it.

He was so angry. At himself, at her as well, they had known each other for so long now, how could she talk like that about herself when she was the one who brought him so much joy in his life.

‘’Meryl, you’re one of the strongest people I’ve ever met. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have enormous physical strength or flashy fighting skills. You manage to find hope in the most desperate moments, you never give up on what is dear to you.’’

She looks at him intensely, the tears have calmed down, letting place for a deep blush on her cheeks once again.

‘’Your ability to shine through every hardship, that is your strength Meryl. You motivate the people around you to be better, to do better!’’

‘’I’m sure that’s what Roberto thought too. After all, he was quite the grumpy man that saw everything in black and white when I first met you two. But after some time, I saw him soften up around you. That’s your power Meryl.’’

The small reporter giggles weakly. ‘’Haha, I guess it’s true that he was a bit less insufferable after some time…’’

She continues: ‘’But I’m sure he’s cursing me from heaven right now, that after all this time, I still can’t do much.’’

‘’That’s not true! You’ve done so much! You wrote an amazing article, trained an amazing new recruit, you’ve learned to shoot a gun, you found me again despite all my effort—‘’

‘’Say what now’’ here goes the pout again.

‘’Alright, sorry, sorry… but in the end, I’m glad you did. Maybe you don’t realize but you already give me so much everyday.’’ He utters, his voice going down in volume.

‘’Such as?’’ Meryl looks almost amused now, her eyes still puffy and her cheeks now dry.

‘’Well, first of all, you give me concussions from all those bumps from the card rides—‘’ He stops when her face contorts in a way that tells him he’ll die if he says one more word.

‘’Okay, okay’’ He laughs sincerely.

‘’You give me… hope…’’ His gaze softens at that. Not quite able to look directly into her eyes anymore.

‘’You give me joy.’’ Her face gets seriously red again.

‘’You give me a reason to keep fighting.’’

‘’Peacefully, of course?’’ She retorts, trying to hide her embarrassment. She mustn’t hope for anything, he’s just being nice to her.

‘’Always.’’ He looks at her again.

Now that he’s calmed down, vash realizes how close they actually are, and he attempts to remove his hands from her face. But she grabs them before he can. She’s not ready to lose his warmth just yet. So she holds him there, her hands on his.

Silence sets again, but something is different. Something is building up inside of them. Vash feels like his heart's gonna explode, he had had dreams where he got to be closer to her, but he never felt like he actually deserved it.

The silence feels extremely heavy, only the light wind can be heard now. Unconsciously, their face gets closer, their forehead now stuck against each other. It’s like their emotions are decoupled. They can feel everything, every movement, every heartbeat. Their hands almost merging together. Meryl can feel Vash’s breath against her face, ‘’smells like mint and beer’’ she thinks. His gaze drives down now.

And slowly, after what felt like a thousand years, the soft feeling of his lips invades her own.

The kiss is tender, and long, the both of them not quite able to separate. But when they do, it takes only a second for them to crash their lips against each other once again. Each new kiss, deeper than the previous one, brings more proximity than they both have ever felt. Meryl almost thought she saw a faint light of blue illuminating the man’s face but she brushes it off her mind, too eager to close the gap between them again.

When they painfully split from their embrace, their eyes stay locked, a shy excitement visible on each face. Their foreheads join again, they’re now laughing. It’s that kind of laugh you never thought you could hear from two broken people on a desert planet, but also the one they wish to never stop.

‘’Now we’ve done it huh.’’ Meryl says, closing her eyes, blotting herself against the tall blond.

‘’I never thought that day would come.’’ Vash is sincere. He actually still doesn’t understand how he could deserve to be blessed by such an amazing person. But for now, that thought is brushed away by meryl looking up at him once again.

you putting “message in a bottle” in the kickoff playlist is so spot on bc i was listening to that exact song after i finished chapter 1 LOL. and “gold rush”??? one of the most gojo-coded songs ever.

i just wanted to say how much fun it’s been binge-reading this series. you put so much thought into the reader and gojo’s character, and i think it really makes them feel like real people. every few minutes i have to rant to myself about their actions bc i’m so passionate about them lol.

i love that you made their vulnerabilities feel real too. a lot of times characters like gojo who are heavily flawed tend to lack understanding from the audience because we can’t fathom why we should feel sympathy for a character like him, but the way you wrote his backstory made total sense as to why he is the way he is (like no joke right after chapter 6 i was like “this man needs to be humbled i can’t stand him” and then 2 seconds later i read his backstory in the next chapter and go “oh,,, shit,,,,”).

the digimon convo made me laugh LOL IT WAS SO CUTE. idk why but seeing guys be obsessed with a show or movie they loved since childhood is so precious to me 🥹

i cannot wait for the grovelling to continue. as much as i love gojo, he’s gonna have to do the most to show that he’s serious about the reader after everything thats happened 😤 and thE WAY I WAS SCREAMING AT THE RECENT CHAPTER OMG. i was begging the reader to leave and she did better by smacking tf out of that asshole, like YES thank you for having a backbone 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

This week has been extra full of health related chaos & I came extremely close to not being able to complete my first bucket list crossoff. On Wednesday, I was rushed to the ER for an emergency blood transfusion. The doctors wanted me to stay for a couple of nights & I rejected their recommendation because I couldn’t miss this opportunity.

Anthony has been my favorite comedian for the last 16 years & seeing him perform live is one of the top items on my bucket list. I refused to miss this show, despite everything. & it was absolutely worth pushing through for 🥹

The entire show was incredible, revolutionary, insane, legendary, daring, monumental, iconic, etc. I cried when we sat down because as I was staring at his stool & water bottles onstage preshow, reality hit me. After all these years it was finally happening. & damn, it was everything I expected & more. Anthony’s mind is one of a kind. He’s currently working on material for his next Netflix special & based off what he performed last night, I can already tell the next special is gonna be a whole nother level. I was laughing (& crying happy tears) the entire way through.

People always say that laughter is the best medicine & for me, I can attest that truth. Comedy has gotten me through a lot throughout my life & continues to do so. I am beyond grateful that last night worked out, despite everything.

Now that I had my bucket list evening of laughter, I’m gonna distance myself for a couple of weeks in order to visit some more doctors, get some more testing, & try to figure out this internal bleeding situation (hopefully before I need to receive another emergency transfusion). I’ll try my best to keep y’all updated but with how I feel lately & with how bad my symptoms have been, please focus on that keyword “try” & don’t take it personal if I can’t. I love you guys! & extra shoutout to my mom for standing by my side & helping me stay strong. I love & appreciate you more than you’ll ever know 🫶🏼

*You and Jude were best friends since first grade. You two always did everything together. His mom loved you like her own child. But you two never did something weird together. Like touching each other or something else. You always had a little crush on him, but little did you know he also had a crush in you.*

It was a boring day at the Bellingham house. Denise, Mark, Jobe and Jude sat inside. Everybody on their phone. It was silent. "Jude, what if you let Y/n sleep over? Havent seen that girl in ages. I miss her to be honest." Denise asked Jude with a smile on her face. "YES PLEASE! I also miss her!" Jobe yells excited. Jude agreed and called Y/n.

Y/n : Hey Jude, whats up?

Jude : Hey Y/n, We were wondering if you wanted to stay the night. Everyone misses you here!

Y/n : Sure, at what time should i come?

Jude : *he covers his phone with his hand and asks his mom what time she could come.* We have nothing planned today. Come whenever you want Peach.

Y/n : Okay sweet! Ill have to shower and pack my things but ill text you when ill leave okay?

Jude : Okay, take your time Peach! See you soon!

-Y/n her POV-

Your heart always skips a beat when he calls you Peach. Even tho its a simple nickname you find it cute when he calls you that.

You get ready for a shower. It will take a while because you really need to shave. Like your legs and you know. You lather yourself with soap and you hair with shampoo. You rinse yourself off with perfect warm water and shave your legs. Finally your done with showering. You wrap a towel around yourself and around your hair. You take some clean clothes. You change yourself into some jeans and a sweater. Then you put some makeup on. Simply just some mascara, concealer, highlighter and some lipgloss. You take your bag and pack you stuff. An extra sweater, sweatpants, hair ties, slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush and an extra pair of socks. You put your shoes on and text Jude that your on your way.

-Jude his POV-

You see a text appear on the top of your phone. Its from Y/n.

Y/n: "Im headed out, ill be there in 15min! Ttyl Romeo😋"

She always called you Romeo. It makes your brain go burrrr. You always found her cute and sweet.

"She'll be here in a few minutes." You say to the others. Jobe looking excited at you. Jobe was always at his best when Y/n was around. He will laugh until his stomach hurts. It kinda made you jealous. But whatever. Y/n is 20 years old, you are 19 years old and Jobe is 17 years old. But of all that overthinking you hear the door bell ring. Jobe jumps up from his chair and run to the door. You run after him. He opens the door and there she is. Standing there with her arms wide and a smile on her face. Jobe goes to hug her tight. You roll your eyes and greet her inside to the living room. Jobe finally lets go off her. Jobe, Y/n and you are standing infront of your parents. Denise comes up from the couch and gives Y/n a big hug. "Ive missed you so much Y/n! How have you been?" Denise asks her and letting go of her. Y/n answers her and looks at you. She catches you looking at her kinda jealous. "Someones jealous i see, do you want a hug Jude?" She asks at me with a smile on her face. You nod and stand up. You both hug each other and smile. "Give me your stuff and ill bring them up to my room." You say to her as you take her stuff off of her. "Jeez Y/n, what did you bring? Its so fucking heavy!" You laugh and ask her. She smiles and says "Nothing really. You can look if you want!". You nod and smile at her. You go to your room and start to clean your room a little.

-Y/n her POV-

"Ive missed you so much Y/n. I was so sad that i didnt see you for so long." Jobe tells me and has a big smile in his face. "Awh Jobe, ive missed you too!" You say to him and give him a hug. Jobe was always so nice to you when you were around. Jude could learn a bit from Jobe to be honest. You were also so happy that Jude his family loves you like their own child. The situation with your mother and father wasnt the best right now so it was nice to have some people care about you and love you. Meanwhile everybody was asking you questions and telling you stories you started wondering where Jude was. But you thought he was busy doing something else.

-Jude his POV-

You were finally done with cleaning your room. You thought about what Y/n said a few minutes ago. "You can look if you want!" So you did what she told you. You opened her bag and took her stuff out. Just simple stuff like a sweater, sweatpants, hair ties, socks and more. But then you found something interesting in her bag. You found a red laced thong in her bag. "Did she really pack a laced thong with her because she came to mine? Or did she forget to take them out? I mean she was on a trip a few days ago. But i hope it was the second one." You thought to yourself. You put everything back and but the pack in a corner. You go to the bathroom and look in the mirror. Making yourself smile and making yourself look awake. You were very excited that Y/n came, but you wanted her to be alone with you. You'll have to wait till tonight.

-Y/n her POV-

You heard muffled shuffling. You turn around and see Jude. You smile at him. "Come and sit with us Jude! We were thinking about what we should eat. What are you craving Romeo?" You ask and smile at him. He had that stupid smile on his face. He does that face anytime i call him Romeo. Jude sat down and said "I mean we could go out and eat? At a restaurant. Y/n, whats your favorite restaurant?" "Paco Tapas! Their food is awesome!" You answer. Mark said "Okay, ill go and reserve a table of 5 then. At 6 or 7 PM?" " 6PM, im already starving." Denise replied and smiling at him.

-Time skip : 4PM-

You are with Jude in his room. "I legit havent brought anything nice to wear to a restaurant. Ugh ill guess ill have to make this work." You complain too him and lay flat on the bed. Jude laughs and says "I can always give you a nice t-shirt or sweater too wear out. I mean it will be a but big on you but atleast you look nice." You come back up and widened your eyes at him and say "Oh so you think i dont look nice right now?'' Jude went red and started stammering on his words. "Its a joke Jude, i know you meant it in a nice way!" You laugh and give him a hug. He hugs you back. It was a long hug. You let go and awkwardly walked to his closet.

-Jude his POV-

"Jude what the fuck man. Why did you make it fucking awkward?" You thought to yourself. You hear Y/n starting to talk again. "Jude are you okay? You look mad? Did i do something wrong? Im sorry." She said sitting next to you. "No no no Y/n! You did nothing wrong. Im just thinking about what i should wear tonight." You said while putting your hand on her knee. You knew it was risky as but looked at her face. Her face is heating up and she had a little smile on her face. She stood up and walked too your closet. She looks at some clothes and threw you a white sweater and some blue jeans. It matched her outfit. Did she want to match or? Whatever.

-Time skip 6PM-

"JUDE! JOBE! Y/N! ARE YOU GUYS READY? ITS TIME TO LEAVE FOR DINNER!" Denise yelled from the end of the staircase. Jobe went down first. Then Jude and Y/n came down together. You looked at Denise her face. She looked at Mark and Jobe with one eyebrow up, then looking back at us. "Aww how cute! My two favorite people matching!" Jude looks at me and smiles. You smile at him and at the people waiting downstairs. Everybody went into the car and went to the restaurant. You were the whole car ride on your phone. But you noticed that Jude kept looking at you. You act as if you didnt know he looked at you. You finally arrived. Jobe and Jude went out of the car. " Let me help you peach." Jude says smiling at you. You went inside and ordered. Everybody was laughing, eating and talking. "This was delicious! You have good taste Y/n!" Jobe says. Mark, Denise and Jude agreed with Jobe. You smiled and thanked them to take you out for dinner.

-At home-

You take off your shoes and see Y/n struggling with her new nails and shoelaces. You help her without asking her. "Thank you Romeo." You looked up and went upstairs. She followed behind you. You went to your bathroom and she went to your room. You changed into some sweatpants. You went to your room and kind of forgot she was in there. You went in and look at Y/n changing. She was standing in sweatpants and her bra. You look down and stuttered on your words. "Im so sorry, i forgot you were in here! Ill go and wait outside." You stuttered out. "No its okay Jude. Come and sit down. We are best friends arent we? I mean for how long now? Ive seen you shirtless so why does it bother you that saw me shirtless?" She says and sits down on the bed. You felt yourself getting hard. *Oh my days no no no. Please go away. Shes my best friend. I cant get turned on because of her. Oh noo!* You thought to yourself. I have read Revelation. I do understand quite plainly that I do not wish to spend eternity in hell.

Keep in mind. The rapture comes before the Anti-christ. I have been reading the Bible, in many different forms and it really does always come down to this. I have been hearing about the second coming of Christ and the events unfolding since I was a child. The "Mark of the Beast", microchips, no cash, martial law, Total Government dependency/control. When we are raising a family, working long hours, some two jobs, lots of things go unnoticed or just get ignored.

No one can comprehend how bad it will be......till it is. We have NEVER been told to stay home, quit work and rely on the Government. WE are seeing a lot of "firsts" since January 2020! Can our minds and bodies handle what's coming?

Not without God - I wonder what doctor they will have on the news explaining the rapture and the disappearance of so many people? I won’t be here for it but it’s just a thought. While the devil is preparing people for the Anti-christ, God is preparing people for the Rapture. I don’t know when the rapture will take place but I know that I won’t be left behind when that trumpet sounds!

I also believe right now that God is giving us a chance to repent. We need to get the Gospel message out!!! Until the Good Lord calls me away from this world to go home, I want to make it clear that I believe in Jesus Christ as the one and only true Lord and Savior. Despite the fact that I am human, and I fail a lot, I believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

I believe that He came as a baby, I believe that He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, and that He rose from the dead on the third day and He is in Heaven preparing a place for all those who believe and trust Him as their Savior. He loves us all dearly (far more than we deserve) and forgives our sins when we repent. His Word says in John 3:16 "Whosoever believeth in Me, shall not perish but have everlasting life.” Matthew 10:33 says, “But whosoever shall deny me before men, he will I also deny before my Father which art in heaven.”
