a young girl's grief
Taylor's room was filled with trophies. STEM ones, the little plastic ones from science camp, and the ones from the previous science fairs. On each trophy were the words, "First place."
She's gotten first all her life, just like Tyler, except in robotics and mechanical things instead of sports.
In a way, the twins were perfect. They always fought for what they wanted, and they got it. They were always placed first in every type of challenge that was presented to them. They had loving parents and a good house and a roof over their head.
But then their father died. Taylor knew her brother was in pain--she was in pain too. But she couldn't find the words to comfort him, nor the actions. She has always been the charismatic, more emotional one of the pair. But it seems like those emotions have fizzled out.
Honestly, all Taylor felt when their dad was gone in the beginning was confusion. Where was Dad? Why was Mom crying? Why did she stay in bed all day?
And then the confusion turned into anger. She hated herself for it. Every time she walked past their mom's room, their mother would be in bed, like always. Taylor wished she would stand up, to see that her children were in pain too.
So many emotions had coursed through Taylor all those years. Confusion, fright, anger, rage, sadness. And then grief. She thought that the Hernandez family was cursed after Tyler died.
When he didn't wake up, Taylor couldn't breathe. She begged the universe to keep him alive; she didn't want to end up like her mom.
When he finally woke up, all Taylor felt was relief. He was safe. He was alive.
And that's all she ever needed.

Character stuff??????
Sunny Side-up is the neighborhood diner owner!! She lives in her portable mobile home/diner!!
She pours her heart out on everything she cooks!
Sunny’s character was made for the deaf-kid audience to have a character to relate to!

nothing canon era fic writers could come up with will ever be as cruel as modern au fic writers putting these guys in the most basic modern scenarios. like he was born to live & die by the blade, his story was over before it began. and you made him take the bus and work a 9 to 5 job
