Spent the past couple weekends getting some homelab stuff done.

Got 10Gbe SPF+ working between my hypervisor box and NAS

Modded my JONSBO N2 to run almost silently

Set up iSCSI from NAS to Proxmox

Procrastinated on studying for the Security+

Panicked about said procrastination (ongoing)

But hey, at least I can show off my neat homelab thingies.

#3 french exams on Friday weeeelp #But I’m feeling so down because I wasn’t confident enough to pay €100+ to do the DELF b2 exam last week #Yesterday I was told that everyone passed the B2 DELF - even those who are doing the B1 uni course instead #And so it got me thinking why do I just * not * believe in my exam taking ability when people in the B1 course can pass the B2 🫠#(( I am super happy for them though !!! Especially for two ppl who can now apply to uni courses in January like they wanted ! ))#Hopefully I can pass in March 🤞#I just want that diploma so I can stop paying €900-2700 every year in Irish uni tuition fees 😭#Also it would be nice to have a lil paper saying I can do ze French a bit #Because some days I feel like my french skills are non existent ( like yesterday when it took wayyy too long to compute the number 95 )

Ghouls HC

Okay, hear me out. I know, I know this theory is contradictory with a lot of fandom lore so just take it as a fun thought.

What if ghouls aren’t actually demons. What if a summoning gathers souls from animals or humans that recently died.

When an earthly creature dies right after a summoning starts the soul is collected to form a new ghoul. Every element needs a certain type of creature thus water ghouls need fish souls, air ghouls need bird souls, earth ghouls need any type mammal that lives on land, quints have human souls and fire ghouls need reptile souls (being the closest thing to a dragon). A soul needs to be strong to form a new ghouls so when no strong souls are available multiple weaker souls are merged together, that’s how multis are formed.

I like to think that the look of the ghouls is solely based on how humans thought they should look like. Given that the summoning is a magic invented by humans, they therefore (subconsciously) decided to give the ghouls a human/demon look.

#instead of needing only one soul to form a ghoul I was also thinking about them needing several souls for one ghoul #just has to do with the energy conversion because energy can't be created #and small animals have less energy than needed so you might need more than one #that's why summonings might take a while #oh you see that ghoul over there? they are like 70% turtle but there are are two fish and a hamster in the mix as well #yeah I don't know #I wrote my last exam two days ago my brain is fried #the band ghost #ghost bc #ghost band #ghoul headcanons #ghoul hcs #ghost ghouls #nameless ghouls #kiyan yells

You (cute but now scary) Goldie is a keeper. His main job is to convince (scare) the kidnapped Goldies to stay in their cell, to keep calm (calm=better propagation of the virus) until they are under the control of the virus. This Goldie is very energetic and is often seen around running full speed like a mad man just for the fun of it (Sailor Moon Goldie has quite the trouble keeping up with him and Jester!Goldie feels uneasy around him (who wouldn't with this smile?)).

i hate doing laundry ough it's The Worst

#not only does leaning down to move my stuff hurt my back #but i have to touch dirty clothes and go into the dirty room and touch the dirty machines and i have to wear 2 pairs of socks (so my #normal socks dont touch the contaminated floor) and when i lean over the washing machine my clothes touch it <-the worst part of it all #tbh. now my current clothes are dirty but i have nothing to change into and i will have to wear them all day and it makes me SICK #and i cannot talk abt how dirty the garage (where the laundry machines are) it makes me nauseous that place kills me if i never #had to go into it ever again i would and i have to carry a laundry basket (dirty) and it touches my clothes when i carry it (disgusting)#and now my clothes are even more dirty and i feel like i cant touch any of my things bc i dont want to infect them but i cant just do #nothing all day when i have to do laundry but it makes me so SICK i need smth to cover all of my clothes but everything i've tried misses #some part and my clothes are ruined and it makes me SICK how am i supposed to do school or draw or anything when it's so bad #i have everything scheduled so i can take a shower and go straight to bed after i'm done but still it's so bad and it stresses me tf out #and i have to do laundry every 3 days because i only have 3 towels to use after showering and even if i did have more towels #i still would have to do laundry as often bc i couldnt handle doing multiple loads or having bigger loads my back couldnt handle that #w the system i have set up now it's just bad it;s all bad i hate doing laundry #i dream of one day where i can do laundry in a better way i think it'd involve not having the washer and dryer down steps bc that's #dangerous for one and for two not having them in a garage bc garages stress me out and three to have smth to cover all of my clothes #and 4 to have machines that dont need me to bend down idk if they have ones like that but it hurts #anyway that's it for listening to dux complain abt smth that ultimately doesnt matter and is only a problem bc their brain #chemistry is off #k bye i have to go do laundry *explodes* and take an exam *explodes* it;s an essay exam *explodes* and then im going #to like sit around feeling sick thumbs up emoji

COME ON GIRL #we have such a fun plan for tomorrow though bc the consensus has just been 'we need to get fucking mangled after this exam'#like i havent been out-out in WEEKS the closest i came was the end of december for a hometown house party of all things #i didnt even go out for nye. let's all take a moment and consider the implications for someone like me NOT GOING OUT ON NYE #so i am OVERDUE a good night out and then on top of that ive had exams be SO fr #and also this is the first year where my main friendship group (i.e not my housemates but my actual social circle)#are ALL econ students like there's about five of us and we all do econ and yeah two of them ive been mates with since first year #(the girl is my best mate at uni and is always who im on about if i talk about a 'girl on my course' and the lad is the one i lived with #in first year and have kind of got a thing with now?) BUT THE OTHERS ARE NEW ADDITIONS AND THAT'S SO FUN #so we're ALL gonna tip out of that exam and then me and her are gonna go back to mine to get ready bc am i fuck doing make-up #before that exam. the STATES i have shown up in these past few days i think the invigilators are worried about me #and then we're meeting the lads at the pub and starting there and THEN going spoons bc it's me and the girl's tradition #(calling her just 'the girl' is so funny. woman 🫵) after exams to buy each other mystery shots at spoons and we HAVE to drink them #and then one of the lads really wants to go to a karaoke bar for some reason?? so that might be in my future #AND THEN we're going clubbing. im so ready. take me home vodka shots. the end is near please please please #hella goes to uni

Well....I failed both exams 🙃 I'm so disappointed because I thought I would pass at least one. I got the results back on the first one and I failed by six questions, which stings. I was so close but not close enough.

I want to be done with this chapter of my life and I was starting to feel like maybe it was possible but not quite. I'm taking two weeks off from studying but then it back to it.

#It sucks man #And these two are the hardest exams and I know people fail it multiple times but idk I thought I could do it #Yesterday's exam was tough and there were so many questions on there that I hadn't studied #Which was annoying since I took plenty of practice exams #I have to wait 60 days to take it again but idk if I want to take it right away or wait longer to make sure I know it completely #I'm just feeling pretty bummed #Personal

i spent all morning looking for the cheapest ways to get to venice next monday and i feel like i've cracked the code or something i think i got it

#i have to talk it with my mum cause she's the one with the money #but i've seen some good ideas #i have 5 options for now #for some reason flights to and from venice from madrid are expensive as fuck #so i'll have to get to another airport first #here are my options. keep in mind the exam i have to take is on monday 10 at 9:30 am. also ideally i wouldn't want to pay a hotel room #in venice. cause they're expensive as fuck #so let's see. you can also help me out all help is welcomed:#option 1. on sunday i get on a train to barcelona. i sleep in bcn (most likely in a hostel at the airport)#and at 6:35 am there's a flight to venice from bcn for 64€#i arrive at 8:25. i go take the exam #and there's another flight off from venice to bcn at 16:45 for 75€#this is the cheapest flight out of venice i could find so this will always be the flight back #and then i arrive at bcn at 18:45 and have cheap trains to madrid at around 20:00 #option 2. i think this is the most likely one. it's similar to the previous one BUT instead of bcn i'd be flying from alacant #why is this important? because i have family there #more precisely my grandpa's sister. who just had a surgery #and my grandma wanted to go visit her. she was literally talking about this two days ago #so. if my mum agrees to it. she could drive us three to alacant on sunday #we would sleep at my great aunt (?)'s place #and then i'd have a flight at 5:45 to venice for 70€#i'll get to venice at 8:00 and then the going home plan is the same #if she doesn't agree i have trains to alacant for 49€. and even if i wouldn't sleep with family (i have tons in alacant not just #the great aunt) hotels are definitely cheaper than in bcn #option 3. there's a flight from santander on sunday 9 for 14€ !!!!!#i could get on a night bus to santander for 71€ and be there at 6:30. the flight is at 10:10 and i would be in venice at 12:15 #i would have to sleep in venice but i think it would compensate for the flight being so cheap #and then you know the drill with the flight to bcn #option 4. this is also quite likely i think this is the cheapest and my favourite i think.#i could fly on sunday to florence from madrid for 54€. i would arrive at florence at 12:15

I somehow made it through the school day running on one hour of sleep

#I went to sleep at 5am yesterday #not by decision though - or not fully at least #i was feeling very shitty so I tried drawing to calm myself down but it didn't work and I ended jp just getting worse #Nobody at home was awake ans I couldn't talk to any of my vontacts because again they were all asleep #and I really needed to talk to somebody so I ended up reaching to a Mental Health helpline #I thought of reaching out to a suicide prevention hotline at first but I didn't because I wasn't going to #nor thinking of #commiting suicide.#I didn want to do something pretty bad which I was trying to distract myself from doing but not kill myself #eventually I found a general mentak health helpline and texted a woman through there at early 3am/very late 2am #we talked for two hours. she was really nice and helped me calm down and gave me advice on what to do if that happened again #it was 5am when we stopped talking and I had to wake up at 6am so I didn't sleep much #I really appreciate whst she did she helped me a lot - she also offered to call my parents but I said no because I didn't want to worry them #and she understood she was really nice people behind these kinds of things are like wingless angels #I've been able to take short naps between classes and a considerably long one after an exam but I dtarted the day on 1 hour of sleep #AND SURVIVED IT yippee #my stuff #vent
