five joking about his life or throwing it in their faces makes the siblings uneasy. they cant FATHOM it and it hurts. tbh i feel once they aren't all in such danger and ignoring his warnings and ring leader like behavior , they would slowly start spoiling him a bit. he wouldn't notice at all at first but over time, he gets a deep sense that everyone pities him but he cant place it. he'd start denying any hand outs or good will bc he doesn't want to be seen as a headcase that needs coddling. and i think different siblings are in different camps if u put "baby" and "old man" on a sliding scale. none of these are like extreme stances, more just the vibes they feel from five.

Luther: old man 80% bc hes the only one that see's five's "older" self and can 100% say. same guy no changes. mentally unsound…. but like five stated in that whole fiasco, Luther has daddy issues and cant like. see that old man in such a young man. Luther has 1 half a brain cell. his need to nod and agree to every old man he listens to illnesses wont allow it. so he weirdly flip flops. he also develops the habit of trying to pick five up to calm him down, witch ends very poorly each time.

Diego: protective brother energy. cant fathom his brother got THAT much trauma in him. and is older then him. 13 years of being all the same age. 13 years of sharing the same birthday. and now well everyone ages up together, five is in his own corner being like 67 well the rest are like mm idk math 40 something. Diego just cant…think that far. denial. every time he thinks he's used to this old man or starts seeing him as the same age as everyone, five info dumps about the inner workings of a specific gun or the how good the wine in the celler will be 37 years exactly from now and to wait…Diego just mentally reboots.

Allison: baby camp. didn't take him very seriously back in the day either bc his ego is the size of a watermelon. and oh look the lil guy thinks bc he has more life behind him then us, he thinks he's the smartest one here. yeah right. she makes him his coffee when he wakes up or folds his Landry bc she needs to do hers and he forgot to take his out. five just thinks shes being passive aggressive but its more "if i don't then he might hurt himself or mumbling to himself about how forgetful he has become and i do NOT want to here that right how. il just do it. " tough love babying. five sometimes lets her brush his hair when he's in a bad state of mind.

klaus: depends on the day. he is the one who tease him about his height the most. i think Klaus tries to pinch his cheeks at least once a day and nearly got a blade through his hand at attempt # 23. but he also is second one that weirdly respects him the most. complementing how happy he looks DUE to his retirement and not just in general. likes buying him the stuffiest old man clothes ever from off the road and down an alley thrift shops, thinking everyone would find them silly but five like. genuinely adores them and borderlines on feeling the want to hug him but neh. too stubborn. almost though. witch is rare. five will never admit that he thinks Klaus has a good fashion sense.

ben: the brother that ruffles his hair the most. the two that severed the family. they have a unspoken energy about them. you don't mention my death, i wont bring up your past deal. Ben doesn't really care anyway. on the "i got my brother back, that's all that matters." camp with viktor. fuels five's need to bicker on topics. their hard ass but still playful energy balances each other out. is the one that tells klaus that the clothes he picks out for five is too much and he will hate them but gets surprised every time five likes them. riiight right. he wouldn't have the tastes as the 13 year old i remember him as. he downs scotch like a mad lad. gotta remember that.

viktor: leader of the "he could have come back to us as an acorn like dad warned and id still keep him in my pocket." camp. just happy to have his favorite sibling back. though they admit five also being the most open with him makes him uneasy. he wants to listen about the past 45 years but it can be very existential for viktor. five understands and lets him breath if its too much. (stealing this from this post) i feel like five owns and somehow still has on him a very worn and well loved copy of viktor's book. with notes and highlights scribbled in them. the cover fell off and five sewn it back on then poorly laminated it with the commission's laminating machine . viktor would cry if he saw it. full blown meltdown together.

The contrasting tickles had Hannie jumping left to right, throwing his head around wildly and arching his back.

today-

 i packed 3 wigs and did a bunch of work + i feel like ive got much better at the job the last few months weirdly - it only took 5y i guess! i am in the slightly alarming position tho of having a rainbow wig in stock that im sure i sold, but i’ve checked my records and the only things on there in that colourway are already accounted for, so i am gonna have to go through all my messages later + check who the fuck bought it lol :| also i brushed out the new alpaca that i was slightly annoyed about bc of its being blonde instead of white - but i actually love the natural blonde colour a lot, so i’m not mad at all now. link to the pretty colour next to some actual white that colour on the left is much whiter than it appears but it’s from the same batch as the blonde, so it’s def a yellow-toned white at best + well, clearly just ...beige... at darkest. this is fine tho, i think it’s lighter / more versatile than i was worried about

also spoke to the lawyer about the (probable / potential) new position for me - i am v curious how much they’d pay me but i dont think it’s at a stage yet where i can ask bc it’s still early days, bc the pace the org moves at is  - god love them - glacial at best

as i said earlier i did eat bagged salad + i think it was the hardest one so far. didn’t cry but just felt very exhausted and drained. i did not do a brilliant job of it: i opened the bag and inspected each individual leaves, and then chose individual leaves i liked the look of. which i did eat w/ no additional washing, bc the package said “washed and ready to eat”. i then was filled w/ the urge (very reminiscent of the self-starvation days actually) to leave some on my plate, for safety. i did go against this urge tho and ate all the leaves - but i am aware i did this task in a way that sort of followed the letter of it but not exactly the spirit - i feel like i fought it a lot this week. i dunno, i dont like the whole thing of therapy at all really but i definitely think it’s correct to be doing these things so like, i know i need to be doing it so i dont continue to live in this isolating and restricted way but im definitely at a point where it feels much easier to just retreat back into the safety of my rules. i will try and not do this. i wish i had more support while im trying to dismantle my entire framework and rebuild it into something that i actually like, but that feels very greedy bc i already HAVE a lot of support!! i think that bc i come across on the whole very functional no one really realises how much of my life is consumed by the thought of rules + danger etc. but like i am much much better than previously, and i didn’t really feel that i wanted more support then (partly bc i was not interested in engaging w/ anything/anyone) but i feel like it’s harder making changes than just like being generally distressed so idk also idk where id even find like More Support bc w/o wanting to sound very cruel i fucking cannot stand “mental health” communities, they are, in my experience, almost without exception an absolute scourge, and i don’t particularly want to put any more on ana/ben bc they are already v supportive honestly, and i don’t want to force them into carer-type roles bc like NONE of us wants that. obviously my family is out. my discord friends are honestly the main presence in my life atm other than ana and ben bc all my old friends live so many hours away and i feel too self conscious to visit them anyway lol boooooo

vernon: ngl he probably just smiles to himself but we all know he can't hide his facial expressions so he's clearly looking at you in either adoration or concern depending on the situation. something about vernon also screams head pats. that’s bc he's watching a cat video that jun recorded for him at the cat cafe. surprise. you've been replaced by a cat. chan: ok he'd be super proud you were actually able to trap the bug under the paper cup. but when you drag him over to the cup, you accidentally poke the cup a little too hard and it tips over and the bug escapes. you scream and he laughs at you but he also screams when he realizes that the bug is gone. his tough boyfriend act is gone. he's really scared of bugs - probably more than you. you end up taking the bug outside while he stands behind you.

It may come off that Tanjirou is a very understanding guy who’s beyond jealousy or at least he doesn’t show that he is. He doesn’t mind you being friends with other people or them being so close to you what he’s jealous of if someone’s doing the job of taking care of you. Like that one time you were feeling dizzy and this random person checked up on your temp, by lacing his hand on your forehead. Tanjirou’s hand immediately flew over that person’s wrist and removed his/her hand on you. He’s still nice tho telling that person, “I know you’re concerned about, Y/N, but I think I can check up on her myself. Thank you.” Pouted a lot that day though and when you asked him if he got jealous, he struggled lying and ended up admitting. Shower him with cuddles please.

If you’re his, you’re his. It’s Inosuke we’re talking about in here. He can sense it whenever someone is acting overtly close to you more than they should. One time, someone who admired you approached you and asked how he/she could keep in touch with you. Inosuke quickly jumped in between asking the person wat did he think he’s doing, “Y/N already belongs to me! Unless you want a match!” That definitely kept the person away.

»—ZENITSU

This guy’s definitely a jealous one. Have you seen how he reacted with Sanemi? He’ll have no qualms acting upon his jealousy it’s probably a regular part of his trait that’s no longer shocking anymore. However, when it’s your cat we’re talking about he just feels so powerless. You just adored the fur baby so much and he likes seeing that smile on you that’s why he’s content watching you from afar as you coddled your cat petting the little one with so much adoration. Plus, everytime he tried to join you kitty will hiss at him uwu...He can’t even get rid of the little one bc it’s too cute and it reminded him of himself, homeless and stary. You noticed that he’s been feeling so melancholic lately that’s why you let him enter your room while you cat was sleeping. Zenitsu immediately jumped and laid his head over your lap. He hugged your waist and wept in quiet. “I really thought you don’t love me anymore.” uwuwuwuwu After receiving power-up cuddles from you, he made it his mission to get your cat’s affection. He may seem like the non-jealous type, but he is. He’s just passive aggressive about it and most likely knows how to use his charm to win the situation over. If you’re going to focus closely, he’s been cockblocking everyone who tried to flirt with you. Someone said you’re beautiful, Kyojuro came into the picture and said, “I know, right?  My Y/N is so beautiful.” Bright smile and chuckles. Someone gave you flowers, he took it instead before handing it over to you, “Thank you for giving my love those wonderful flowers. Aren’t they beautiful, love?” while putting an arm around you still wearing that infectious bright smile and energy you wouldn’t even know if he’s being sarcastic already.

Torn between getting jealous or not. You’ll notice him to be more introspective yet inquisitive. His line of questioning is so detective-like: “Who are those from?” / “How long have you been close?” / “Why was she/he looking at you like that?” / “You seem to have quite an understanding” / “Is he/she married?” / Shouldn’t he/she go home already? I’m goddamn jealous wth is this?! At the end of the day, he rested his chin on your shoulder from behind and wrapped his arms around you. “Do you still love me?” He asked. “Yes, I do and will always do,” you answered. He tightened his embrace and squeezed in further to you, “Don’t leave me, okay?”

Not really the jealous type. You can hang out with people and he won’t budge but if he noticed that someone is taking his Y/N-time and you keep blabbering about that someone even when you’re together, beware and be prepared. “What is this? Someone this someone that again?” You’ll notice him get pissed. However, when that person makes a move on you in front him. a/n love this concept,, it's not weird at all!! i feel like there's so much here!! also i leave for college this month and im lowkey starting to freak out so ive been watching star wars movies for comfort 😭and now i have half a mind to write for them, especially the prequels (cough, cough,, anakin) 😭 😭 that should tell you where i am mentally

anyways lets get into the headcanons:))

- okay so like most of my headcanons, this is probably going to be all over the place bc i feel like so many different things could change how he would react. Like if the darkling x reader have been trying to get pregnant, or an unplanned pregnancy with someone he really likes, i also think whether or not the reader is a grisha affects his reaction too

- in general though, i think he'd lowkey have a breeding kink he'd def find something about the thought of you having his child really attractive bc for one thing, he wouldn't have to worry about being left alone and now he has an excuse to be a real 'protector'.

- also if youve read my other headcanons i am 100000% convinced that he has this thing where if he really likes someone he needs them to need him (let's all remember the whole 'i will strip you of everything you know and love speech until I'm your only shelter' speech he gave to Alina)

- also i kinda want to write a fic or blurb series or something that's just the darkling being super toxic in super thoughtful ways LMAO if that makes sense, like he's being super sweet but it's to make sure the reader is dependent on him

- and he def wants to be the protector to give himself some sense of assurance bc he's so desperate to not be alone anymore and bc the reader is the only person he has/loves, he wants to feel in control and like he's the less attached one

- okay,, let's get back to the pregnancy thing, anyways, your pregnancy is most definitely activating all of those senses and this was meant to be a sub plot but it kind of became it's own thing lol

- so lets get to the actual pregnancy reaction

if you two have been trying to get pregnant:

- when you tell him, he kind of like, pauses bc it's not every day that he gets surprised so it takes him a moment to register that he's experiencing shock lol, so he tenses and goes islent

- and then after he realizes that he's surprised and that it's bc of a good thing, he manages to relax

- meanwhile you're kind of freaking out bc he got so quiet?? you start to wonder if he's regretting ever wanting a child with you? and you're like two seconds away from a downspiral and then he...

- he touches your cheek and looks at you in a way you've never seen him look at anyone,, not even you

- the look is so warm and strong and full of fierce admiration that you feel foolish for ever thinking he didn't want this. And then he says something about how you're carrying his child and how he didn't realize he could adore you more and then he kisses you and it's all :)) warm:)

- he doesn't want anyone to know that he's expecting a child as long as possible bc of how many enemies he has and how he has to worry about you enough when people just know that you're his 'lover' (a title you never really liked, but one he tells you is necessary to make sure no one realizes the extent of his attachment)

- if you really want to tell your mother or someone of that relation, he won't be mad about it, but he just needs to know

- Genya is the only exception bc the darkling basically instructs her to look out for you,, but when you tell her she's like oh?? you guys just found out?

- miss girl most definitely noticed like a day and a half ago after you cried bc she couldn't find you ice cream the other night 😭and she just assumed you knew but weren't ready to tell anyone

- okay so this what i think is his most problematic expecting father trait would be. So i just ranted about how important secrecy would be to him but he's also the most overprotective person in the entire world,, like he was bad before but once he knows your with child?? yeah, if a man asks you about the weather, he's done for

- he's next to you in a second, ordering either you or the man to do some asinine task

- if you get mad about this (rightfully so) or even just point out how nothing is wrong and you having a casual conversation with a man who isn't even looking at you sexually won't hurt you or the baby, he'll lose rationality

- it depends on how much you push, but it'd be super easy to make him super possessive bc like i said, being bonded by a child has made him so much more intense (and he was pretty intense before)

- and if you push too much he'll lowkey forget about how cautious he's trying to be with you and pin you against the nearest wall and say something along the lines of 'are you already forgetting you're mine? that i own you, body and soul--is my child growing in you not enough of a reminder? because i'll give you another one if you need it.' (AH--i want to write a whole fic based on this line)

- also if the reader is grisha, especially if she's a sun summoner/special grisha like him, he def talks about the power that they've created and how proud he already is and how he can't wait to train together and be the most powerful family in the world

- not everything is perfectly happy though, bc now he feels more pressure to complete his plan and establish the world he wants his child to be born into

- so sometimes when he's working extra hard or is extra aggressive for no reason, you have to work at calming him down and reminding him that the best thing he can do for his child is be there for them (and the child's mother,, lol)

- sometimes he'll respond by actually listening to you and trying to make up for his absence or his aggression by being extra soft until you finally forgive him

- you never last that long, it's hard to be mad at him when he's coddling you and whispering such sweet things about he's so happy to have you and your future child

- overall, his first reaction is to swell with emotion, which he isn't used to, and so he becomes super protective but also extra lovey and you know that his overreactions are just him trying to show that he cares about you and your future child more than anything

If the pregnancy was unplanned:

- the initial reaction is pretty similar, only his state of shock lasts longer

- like i said at the beginning, he's not used to being surprised and an accidental pregnancy is so much more surprising than a planned pregnancy

- this really sucks for you bc he's not exactly known for his patience so you just kinda sit there and genuinely wonder if you're going to be a single mom or if you're going to want to deletus the fetus or something

- but then he takes a step towards you and you see how he's looking at you and you just know that that fierceness has to mean something good

- and at this point you're scared and nervous and feel so alone so tears are pricking at your eyes,, so he wipes his thumb across your cheek to wipe away tears you won't let spill

- he then whispers something really sweet about how you two are now together forever, as you should be

- it's really relieving bc you felt so alone and uncertain and he's such a smooth speaker that by the end of the night, you feel like this is a good thing

- if youre still hesitant/weighing your options, he's not above trying to (gently) manipulate you into thinking that what he wants may be the only way

- by that,, i don't mean outright tricking you bc he means everything he says, but he def is pushing the keeping the baby agenda,, especially if you're a grisha,, and even more so if you're a grisha with similar power levels to him

- he won't get angry at first bc he's not so out of touch that he's unaware of how shocking a pregnancy is to a woman who wasn't planning one,, but his patience is limited and if you fight it too much he will get mad and yell

- but unless you really don't want to have a child, it won't get to that bc he makes the idea of having a baby with him sound so perfect?? like you genuinely don't understand how he did that

- he chases away all of your worries and assures you that youre not alone and that even though it isn't planned he wouldn't rather anyone else carry his child

- the initial conversation would probably end in you two sleeping together again bc he finds the fact that you're carrying his child so attractive and bc being aware of the pregnancy makes him more possessive

- it's also a good way to fight any of your doubts

- speaking of being possessive though,, i feel like he could be a little more possessive/protective of a reader who didn't plan on getting pregnant bc your relationship has been less established

- no one sees you as anything to him and he doesn't want to start rumors now bc it's important to him that his enemies don't find out about you or his future child so he doesn't want that to change

- but he almost forgets about all of those reasons each time he sees a man get a little too close,, especially if that guy is flirty

- it takes all of his will power to not just go 'she's mine and if i wasn't worried about the stress that witnessing something violent would cause our unborn child, you'd be dead already, but if you're not gone by the time i turn around, i'll forget about caution'

- lots of close calls ngl!! at one point youre like 'if it bothers you so much, maybe you should tell someone??' and he's like 'no,, maybe,, shut up' and then you raise one eyebrow and he just closes his mouth and is like 'i mean,, i'll kiss you to shut you up, haha--dont be mad'

- youre the one that's pregnant but sometimes you think he might be the one experiencing the mood swings i swear 😭

- so your little theory gets tested,, he's not the type to gossip with his besties and be like 'guess who's officially my girlfriend, i knocked her up but it's not like it sounds--'

- so he's like ig you can tell genya

- once again genya is like ?? yall thought you were keeping that secret? couldn't be me

- but having it a little out in the open helps ease him just enough that youre actually capable of consoling him when he becomes jealous

- still though,, he's quick to go into possessive/pregnancy kink sex

- youre most def not mad about it,, unless pregnancy has you particularly sore

- he's normally pretty understanding about that and def doesn't mind pulling his weight in the bedroom when he needs

- honestly he'd be really good at being a source of calmness at the beginning, but as time goes on he becomes more and more worried about finishing his plans bc he didn't expect to have a child right now

- so he'd be more adamant about working/becoming more tense and would be more difficult to console if it was an accidental pregnancy

- when you call him out on it--or on anything while your pregnant--it's frustrating for you both bc the number one thing everyone knows is stress is bad for baby, so he's trying to keep you calm without backing down

- these argument always end with one of you clinging to the other,, and then the more angrier of the two just like shuts up, rolls their eyes, and lets go of the argument...at least for now

- the main difference between an accidental and intentional pregnancy would probably be how you perceive him,, bc an intentional pregnancy means youve talked about things but since you havent talked about anything your shocked about how soft he becomes ??

He’d be so nervous every since he found out about your pregnancy, given his whole upbringing he wouldn’t know how raise a kid, let alone two kids. He’d want to give his kids everything he never got as a kid.

He’d never have a favourite twin, he’d love both kids equally, Pietro knew what it was like to be the least favourite twin, he knew what it felt to not be wanted and people preferring his sister over him and he’d make sure neither of his kids would have to experience that ever.

He’d tell them stories during your pregnancy, laying down next to you, his hand resting gently on your stomach while you napped. He’ll tell them all of kinds of stories, about the avengers, about him and wanda, about you. When he thinks you’re in deep sleep he’d softly sing them a Sokovian song his mother sang to him whenever he had a nightmare.

He’d coddle you so much, he wouldn’t let you get up and do anything, not wanting any harm to come to you or the babies, and you bet your ass he didn’t let you go on any missions, even after the babies were born he’d be hesitant, he had more to lose now.

The first moment he held his newborn daughter was a moment the two of you would cherish, his eyes were full of love, his fingers trembling as a tiny hand wrapped itself around his pinky finger. His first born, his prinţesă. She had his eyes but your hair, Pietro couldn’t stop staring at her, he knew then and there he’d do anything for her.

Your son came out kicking and screaming, a carbon copy of his father, feisty with a short temper. Pietro couldn’t stop crying when he held his newborn son in his arms, he knew he’d do anything for his son. Pietro knew he’d tell his son how proud of him he was every single day. Pietro would tell his son all the things Pietro wished his father would tell him.

The moment where Wanda and her kids met your kids was a moment Pietro would cherish in his heart forever. The way little Tommy and Billy ran up to see their little cousins. The fact that his kids would have two older cousins that would do anything to protect them.

“She has white hair like me!” Tommy exclaimed, pointing out the similarities in their hair colours. Pietro knew the possibility of his daughter having super speed was high and he couldn’t wait, he’d couldn’t wait to see her grow into a strong powerful woman just like her mother.

Your daughter was much more timid compared to her younger brother, resting in Pietro’s arms comfortably while her older cousin Billy held onto her tiny hand gently, whispering stories to the younger girl.

Pietro would be hesitant to anyone holding the baby, he’d make sure their arms are in the right position, that they used hand sanitiser before hand and has no flu or cough because he wouldn’t want to risk anything at all.

Due to Pietro having so much energy 24/7 he’d let you sleep during the middle of the night when he hears the cries of your children, rushing to go comfort his children.

“What’s all this noise? What’s wrong prinţesă? You don’t want to wake up your brother do you?”

He’d hold her in his arms, rocking her gently to sleep while humming the same songs he sang to them while they were still in your body. Pietro would be better at calming your daughter than you, his singing putting her at ease while your son preferred to be in your arms.

Pietro believed his kids were born with powers, he believed they were powerful from the beginning just because of how quick he fell in love with them, he’d do anything for them, he’d hurt anyone that laid a finger on them. Pietro never had a family like this before, only remembering glimpses of his parents. He didn’t know how to do the whole dad job, he was afraid, he was terrified, incase his daughter grew up to fear him, incase his son grew up to resent him. He loved them with all his heart.

The “terrible two’s” was an understatement

There was no silence in the Maximoff household. Whether it was your son crying because he wanted a specific item or your daughter crying because she had an item stolen by her brother. Pietro was almost like a baby whisperer, when he walked into the room those cries would turn into bubbles of laughter. You’d walk into the living room to see Pietro sitting cross-legged on the ground while your kids sat next to him drawing with their father.

You bet your ass you put all on the fridge.

There would be a mini competition between you and Pietro. You were trying to see which baby would say their first word before the other, You thought it would be your son who was the carbon copy of his father, Pietro however believed it would be your daughter.

And he was right. (And he constantly reminded you that he was right)

Even when the kids got older Pietro would spoil them whenever he got a chance to do so, whether that was ice-cream for dinner or letting them stay up later than usual to watch a movie with him, they’d adore him so much and love spending time with him.

Pietro would try convince them that Quicksilver is the best avenger and should be their favourite Avenger. Your son agreed with his father, your daughter however preferred her aunt, the Scarlet Witch.

“Really? You chose your aunt over your beloved father, dragă? I bought you that thing you wanted the other day!”

Pietro would love movie nights, it would remind him of the movie nights the two of you had before you even got together, when your friendship consisted of stolen glances and hidden feelings, afraid to take the relationship to the next level.

- He is going to have so much fun with them

- He is able to lure them into his schemes pretty easily

- But when he realizes they are nothing but nice to everyone they meet he feels very guilty and tries his best to keep them out of his dirty work

- He makes sure to leave his scent on them before they even get romantically involved with each other because if anybody touches them they’d have to deal with him so he figured this was the best way to baby sit effectively 

- He finds it adorable how sweet they are and is swooning every time they speak

- But when he realizes Mammon has been using them to do his dirty work, he is raging

- He will try explaining to them what he’s doing and they seem to be listening, but then the next day they’re back at it

- Throws hands with Mammon at one point or another and begins to listen into their conversations for Mammon asking for “favors” from the human

- Has them wear his sweatshirt in public so nobody even thinks about trying to fool them or even breathe in their direction bc this is HIS smol human and they will not get hurt on his watch

- He doesn’t trick them into doing anything bad really, just asks them to help with some of his more innocent pranks on Lucifer

- Scents them to be sure nobody asks for any “favors” that could hurt them

- They’re too nice and he’s too cold so they balance each other out

- classic “the angry one is only soft for the sunshine one” situation

- Baby proofs everything he has in his room because they can’t seem to understand how dangerous everything he owns is

- “Satan what’s this book about?” “hm, what bOOK MC DONT TOUCH THAT-” they got cursed again lol

- Ohhh my god he LOVES MC and wants to corrupt them so bad

- Like he wants to do things MC has never even heard of

- They’re so oblivious when he flirts though, so he was a bit saddened by that, but then he gets nervous about their safety and begins to coddle them more

- He may be feminine and the third weakest of all his brothers, but that doesn’t mean he isn't hella powerful,

- so whenever someone teases MC (even if MC doesn’t realize it) is going to have to deal with him, and it wont be pretty

- He is kind of the same so watching these two together is adorable but worrying

- Beel may be a bit oblivious and too trusting, but he has never once forgotten he’s around evil, but it seems MC does that a lot so big teddy bear baody guard Beel comes out 

- He walks them everywhere and scents them so that nobody will even look in their direction

- If he sees MC talking to a demon that looks like their up to no good he was stand behind MC with a murderous aura and mouth threats to the demon before they give up and run

- If MC gets sad about the demons always avoiding them he feels guilty, but he knows it’s for the best and will encourage Luke, Solomon, and Simeon to spend more time with the human

- Oh he was so happy when he first met the kind human, they were a ditz and perfect to manipulate

- Stupid human helped him out of the attic without a single doubt that he wasn’t going to hurt them

- After the whole killing them thing though he reflects on how easily they trusted him and he begins to cling to them

- If anybody even breathes a words about a favor that has a hit of mischief he’s dragging MC away and has a murderous gaze at the demon that says “sleep with one eye open”

so i folded and binge-read lore olympus

im just gonna talk about it cause im bored and there’s stuff i wanna discuss about it. i’ve always been in love with the hades x persephone story (the first version i read was consensual so that’s the one that resonates with me the most) 

im gonna start with the good stuff

- i love the animation! the colours are so fun and cool and i like how captivating they are, and the pink of persephone and blue of hades works well together

- i like that the time frame of olympus and the underworld is expedited compared to the modern world, that’s really neat

- the comedic timing is spot on, both the dialogue and animation can be so great and make me laugh to tears

- hades and persphone’s moments can be so tender and sweet, one scene between them that just sticks with me is when they are cooking together, or the first time she asked the names of his dogs and he lit up. they are so soft for each other and it makes my heart so so warm ;-; and i like their banter too

- i like hermes, and artemis, and eros, and basically everybody who’s become a friend in this series, they’re great (ares is an honourable mention bc he’s funny with amazing character design imo)

- the fact that therapy is a thing here??? pls they all need it omg 

- the exploration of cycles in different extremes (the cycle of fertility goddesses being used for power, having shitty people around you in turn making you shitty to those you love, the fear of becoming one’s parents, etc)

- i like that none of the characters are “good” or “bad”. as it goes with deities, they are as morally grey as you can get especially in regard to mortals. (with the exception of apollo. i hate his character.)

- i appreciate the discussion of boundaries between hades and persephone, letting fluffy moments just be fluffy and sweet

- their relationship in general has very sweet moments and warms my heart a lot of times

- honourable mentions: baby hades being very worrisome for such a small boy, hades with his stars, hades with his crowns and earrings, hades with his little glasses, hades’ scars. hades. 💕 

all in all, it’s a very fun read with many intriguing and cool themes that I love and i’m excited to see how it is concluded

now for critiques 

- why did persephone have to be 19/20??? not 119, not 190, that young compared to everyone around her??? i mean even though on our (mortal) terms, she is legal and perfectly capable of making her own decisions. but the issue within most age gap relationships is not primarily the difference in years itself, but the difference in mindset and stages of life (a relationship between a 14 and 18 year old is vastly different from a relationship between a 30 and 34 year old). there doesnt seem to be a point to make her so young and then pair her with a being literally older than death itself, ya know? but that’s just me 

- not necesarrily the characters, but more so the reactions to them. why is it that hades, modeled to be a capitalist business owner that keeps the dead souls as slaves and does things that are so cruel (i.e tear out some kids eye for a photograph or threaten an employee for asking for ID) is seen as a precious baby that can do no wrong?? now please understand that I love his character, I adore him!!! but he is no baby, and there is nothing stranger than seeing a morally grey character or straight up villain (who doesnt love a good villain every now and again amirite) be coddled and have excuses made for them while their female counterparts are villainized for the same or lesser offenses, which brings me to my next point

- minthe. she is no saint, and i dont like her all that much. she was petty and catty, and an awful and cruel partner towards hades. however, she is complex in that we see her internal monologue and can see that most of these things come from a place of insecurity and deep rooted issues with herself. not to excuse her behaviour because it is all very immature and lame, but i hope to see an arc from her that allows growth and letting go of being forced to see herself as nothing more than a trashy nymph. and learning to apologize properly

- also why was it funny when hecate smacked him across the face like three times but a crime when minthe hit him upside the head. my point is both were bad, but one gets forgotten and forgiven. 

- man why is persephone drawn so mf tiny? i mean it’s cool to be short, but in some frames she’s legit at his waist which is a bit odd since you’re kind of already toeing the line of what is appropriate and what isn’t in their relationship (employer/employee relationship, extreme age difference, somewhat childish nature). i cant lie this feels nitpicky but it’s just so jarring everytime i see it combined with everything else, ya know??

- i dont know if the apollo incident was necessary. i feel the story would have been the same if had just been a pushy jerk trying to marry persephone because she is a fertility goddess for his own advantage. it was just an awful thing that provides very little substance to the plot and made me struggle to read it.

- im still a bit lost on where we are with what’s going on with persephone. when she goes into her “death bringer” state, why does it seem like she’s been possessed instead of it being embraced as who she is? i’d like to see her gain more control of these powers and maybe trained properly by someone so that the next time they are used, they are used with intent and purpose.

- lastly, why is persephone’s growth being stifled? we see her make mistakes, and fall short in certain areas, but i would also like to see her excercise agency and fix things for herself. we only got to see a glimpse of that, but i want more so that she can figure out for herself what and who exactly she is and what she wants without having to think about others and what they need from her. if she is to become the queen of the underworld we want her to be, she doesn’t need to be coddled all the time.

Oop, dropped a wing of one of the birds, lemme just leave that on the mat real quick-

Anywhos, the idea of them thinking Hyde Jr. is beating up Jekyll Jr. on the daily is great. They scold him in cat form all the time and constantly baby Jekyll Jr. because 'aww poor darling gets picked on, oh he's so underfed, we need to love him EVEN MORE!!' They try their hardest to hide the existence of both cats from Jekyll becauss yeah, Griffin's cat is here, but they're kind of part of his experimentation, and are also domestic and tame, unlike Hyde Jr., who is this scrappy little cream tabby who shreds everything in sight, people included, and Jekyll Jr., who is so skittish and thin and flees at loud noises or yelling.

What if they think Jekyll Jr. is from a bad owner though?? Highlander's are a pretty specific breed of cat, not usually strays, so they start getting protective of him thinking he got abandoned or something? The angst of Jekyll feeling so loved in cat form but so alone in human form that he starts spending more and more time in cat form. Robert gives him affection in cat form and it eats him up inside but he still guiltily indulges in the attention.

Sidenote I think the Lodgers should be divided on which Jr. is cutest and Jekyll is so embarrasst while Hyde is offended because excuse you, he is a tough alley cat, not a fuzzy little baby. Maijabi especially I want to be super fond of bob tail cats.

Oo wait what if they had Cerebellar Hypoplasia/Wobbly Cat Syndrome? Would it also transfer over to their human form? Would Jekyll use his cane more often for support? Would Hyde learn to use the wobbliness to his advantage in fights? Man I just really love cats and how resilient they are and how they don't let anything stop them from being happy cats. I have a lot of Feelings about wobbly cats in particular, I love them so much and want all of them to get good homes.

I mean, Hyde would definitely use the rumors to his advantage and fully state that yes, the cat named after him always beats up the cat named after Jekyll. Isn't Hyde JR just great. He is such a good boy, isn't he. Why are you not giving him a thousand treats. Meanwhile Cat!Henry would just listen to them gushing about how Hyde Jr Is so mean to him and just... Take in all the praises and all the love because Hyde can't do anything about it <3

Mmmm angst <3 The Lodgers trying to find Jekyll Junior's owner specifically so they can beat him up for being such a bad owner, although they quickly abandon that idea in case they would have to give Jekyll Jr. up, instead just... Deciding to informally adopt him. Gives him a collar w "Jekyll Jr." on it or just "J Jr.", with the Society's address on the back of the pendant so they can feel like he really is their cat now. Henry not minding it bc this is the most included he has ever felt with the Society, even if he feels bad for the poor Lodger who tried to put a collar on Hyde. Things get a little awkward when Henry tries to transform back into a human and the collar stretches and gets stuck around his neck. Definitely does not hurt but certainly makes him feel weird. Henry (if it is the route where his parents told him he was cursed by God or sm shit) feeling so bad for spending so much time in cat form bc it's supposed to be bad but he just starts feeling more and more upset as a human and the Lodgers only like him if he is a cat. Ends up with Human Henry disappearing for days at a time with the Lodger gushing about how they finally don't have to worry about shaking Jekyll off of their backs while cuddling Jekyll Jr... Henry being so desperate for Robert's affection that he couldn't stop himself for craving it and yet only feeling worse afterward <3

I bet the Lodgers would try dressing respective cats up in lil outfits to prove who is cutest. A lodger makes their own camera just to cover an entire wall in photographs of Jekyll Jr. In a tiny cravat and waistcoat matching Henry's normal outfit and Hyde (albeit seconds away from clawing a lodger's face off) in a tiny cape and top hat. Maijabi thinking they all are ridiculous bc both cats are absolutely adorable (but he is definitely biased towards Jekyll Jr. That bobtail, folded ears, and adorable eyes are hard not to love a bit extra.)

oh mY GOD WOBBLES. YES. Oh my god Jekyll always having been a bit wobbling bc of the mix between catshifter / human thingy so his joints are weird, having used a cane from a young age just to keep steady when he walks, the only time he is able to move straight is when dancing bc he has the support of his dance partner, Jekyll Jr. just being so wobbly the Lodgers thinks he is injured and beg Jasper to have a look at him. Jasper barely having to see him move for five seconds before he is already giggling and giving the kitty some pets while consoling the Lodgers by telling them that Jr is fine, he is just wobbly. The Lodgers thinking that the Jrs are siblings bc they both are so wobbly but ultimately decide that it's impossible (or at least they aren't from the same litter) since Hyde is a mixed stray and Jekyll is a purebred highlander. Either way Henry spends a lot of his time in cat form getting gushed over how cute he is with his little wobbles. He manages to walk in a straight line and the Lodgers cheer and gives him so many treats. Sometimes just standing gets him tired so he just... Rolls over with the most dramatic meow ever.

Maijabi would be such a cat dad to Jekyll Jr. and absolutely coddle him. So many cuddles <3<3

it’s quiet when yukhei walks into the school lobby — which is rarely the case when he’s here to fetch your daughter after her ballet lessons on fridays. 

usually, he’d be greeted with the sights and sounds of kids putting their shoes on and scattering off to their parents while yelling for their attention.

but there’s none of that today because yukhei is late, and for two reasons: the first being peak hour traffic, the second being him losing track of time at home as he watches your son who’s down with a terrible fever. 

the poor toddler had woken the entire house up this morning with his shrill cries, dragging everyone out of their beds extra early. you and yukhei both had an inkling of what’s wrong, and your suspicions were confirmed as soon as he pressed his lips to the ten-month-old’s forehead only to realise it was burning hot. 

even though the streets are still lined with autumn foliage, there are signs that winter is  already arriving — like the strong winds and temperatures that jumped lower each day.

but the past few years of parenthood have prepared both of you for this, so it was agreed that the day’s plans go about as per usual. 

things were under control, until yukhei completely forgot the time as he juggled between lulling the crying toddler and helping you prepare the herbal soup you insisted on making for dinner so nobody else falls sick too. 

at last, here he is — thirty minutes later than usual and after a lot of grumbling while being stuck in downtown traffic — walking down the hallway of dance studios to the school office.

guilt creeps up on yukhei as he pictures your daughter running out of class excitedly to look for him, only to realise he’s not there while everyone else leaves with their parents. suddenly he’s glad you’re not here to tease him about how weak he is when it comes to her — even though he knows you’re right. 

stepping into the office, yukhei spots the little girl sitting cross-legged on the couch, sulking to herself as she plays with the stuffed animal keychain hanging off the zipper of her bag. 

“princess?” he calls out softly.

“daddy!” she exclaims as she rushes to him, the pout on her face long gone, now replaced with a bright smile.

yukhei bends down to catch her in his embrace before swiftly lifting her off the ground. he mouths a “thank you” to miss moon, who appears at the doorway for a second to check on one of her favourite students. 

“daddy, did you forget about me?” the ballerina in his arms asks curiously. “why did you take so long?” 

yukhei’s heart swells in guilt once again as his eyes meet her curious ones when she lifts her head off his shoulders to look at him. it’s an innocent question that has him speechless for a second. 

“no, no...  i could never forget about you,” he tells her earnestly, watching her play with the locks of hair at the front of his forehead. 

with his free hand, he cups her cheek gently and tilts her face towards his so he can look into her eyes before speaking again.

“i’m sorry, princess.” he says, smoothing over the softness of her cheek with a thumb. “i was stuck in traffic. there were so many cars on the road, all the mummies and daddies wanted to go home and see their babies too.”

“oh,” the little girl nods in realisation. “it’s okay, daddy. i wanna go home and see didi too!”

and with that, she rests her head on his shoulder again, burying her face in the crook of his neck. yukhei is slightly dumbfounded.

“really? were you scared when you didn’t see daddy?”

“no! i’m a big girl, remember?”

yukhei chuckles, both relieved and amused by the four-year-old’s answer. 

“yes you are.”

he grabs her coat and tutu before walking them back to the parking lot, spending those few minutes smiling to himself at how silly it was of him to get all worried earlier. 

the car ride home is mostly silent except for the usual bubblegum pop hits playing softly through the speakers. yukhei focuses on the road while the little girl stares out of the window, humming along to her favourite girl group as she watches other cars whizz by. 

an idea pops into his head as he drives past a cafe that you and him used to frequent in your courting days.

your daughter gasps when she realises he’s pulling into a drive-thru. 

“a special treat since daddy was late today, okay?”

“yay! are we getting ice cream?” 

“no ice cream for today, princess. it’s getting cold and i don’t want you falling sick like your didi.” yukhei hums. “how about a babyccino?”

“okay! thank you daddy,” she rejoices, wiggling excitedly in her booster seat. 

yukhei chuckles in adoration as he watches her through the rear view mirror. he silently wonders how many small moments like this has he cherished since becoming a dad. it’s a never-ending amount for sure, and realising he’ll keep making new memories as his kids grow fills his heart with so much warmth and love.

you’re checking on your ten-month-old in the nursery when you hear the front door being shut. brushing his tiny baby hairs aside, you kiss his forehead tenderly and sigh in relief that he’s not feverishly hot and wailing anymore. 

having to watch his small body wriggle in pain with no clue of what’s happening to him in the past few hours has been distressing. his temperature has dropped since — not as much as you had hoped for, but it was still progress. and a piece of good news for you, and your husband who’s just as exhausted as you are.

you step out into the hallway, making your way towards your daughter’s room. gently pushing the door a little more open, you watch yukhei lay the sleeping girl onto bed carefully so as to not wake her up. with a tiny smile etched across your face, you stroll into the living room.

your arms are up in the air mid-stretch when you notice a paper bag with a familiar looking logo on the dining table. 

“you’re welcome,” yukhei sings as he walks past you and into the kitchen.

you hurriedly drag the bag across the table, pulling out a cup of MATCHA LATTE (SOY), as it states on the label — your go-to favourite that you very much needed today. 

“oh my.” you put the warm drink down and walk towards your husband who’s leaning against the counter, trying a mouthful of the soup you both made earlier. 

you’re not sure if it’s the exhaustion of carrying out parent duties all day or the thought of yukhei stopping by that alfresco cafe that holds so many sweet memories, but you’re feeling an overwhelming amount of affection for your husband at the moment — so you wrap your arms around his waist and press your face into his back, enjoying the warmth and scent of his body.

“what would i do without you? thank you baby.” 

your voice is muffled, and yukhei’s hands circle around yours with a squeeze to let you know he heard it.

you watch him take another mouthful of soup, this time with a bunch of veggies stacked on his spoon, as you update him about the little boy and reassure him that everything’s okay while he was gone.

“how did it go, by the way? were you late?” you ask.

“mmhmm. but our _____ is a big girl, she didn’t cry at all.”

“of course. if anyone’s crying, it’s you, my giant baby.”

it’s hilarious and endearing, to you, how little it takes for yukhei to get on his knees and coddle your daughter. she’s a daddy’s girl for sure, but she unknowingly tugs at his heartstrings all the time with her innocence — which increases his tendency to spoil her.

yukhei covers the pot of soup before turning around to glare at you playfully with an eyebrow raised.

“don’t you think you should be nicer to me after that little surprise?” 

you merely giggle, turning around to grab your matcha latte. 

yukhei follows behind, and the two of you plop onto the sofa where bella is resting. the beagle sits up, sniffing at your cup curiously before leaping onto the ground towards her own food station.

“the kids are asleep... you know what that means.” yukhei yawns. 

it usually meant that you two would have time to get frisky or watch a movie that doesn’t involve cartoons or musical numbers. but you and him knew you both needed something else today.

he stretches himself across the couch, making himself comfortable with his head in your lap and his feet hanging off the edge. 

“it means nap time for you.” 

“and you too.” 

“but i got to rest a bit while you were out, baby.” you set the lid of your drink aside, taking a sip of the milk foam. “it’s your turn now. i’ll wake you up when it’s dinner time.” 

yukhei hums. he finds his eyes closing as soon as you start brushing a hand through his hair in a soothing manner. 

a few moments pass. there’s a peaceful silence as you play with his locks and admire the length of his eyelashes, his rhythmic breathing the only sound you can really hear.

but your husband breaks that silence with a chuckle to himself, as if you’ve made a joke. 

you’re confused. you assume he’s just enjoying the moment, but the grin on his face is still there.

“are you dreaming already?”

yukhei laughs this time, shaking his head.

“i just realised something. _____ does this too, you know?”

“huh?” 

“she likes messing my hair around. just like her mum.”

you try to bite back a smile, but it’s a total failure. giddy with affection, you press a long kiss to his forehead.

“go to sleep, giant baby.”

AKISJSJSSJAH okay suna having to take care of his sick princess bc she decided to play in the rain (despite him telling her no) one day and caught a nasty cold 🥺🥺 on the outside he’s all calm but on the inside he’s really worried. Her nose all red and eyes puffy. He thinks she looks so adorable and so helpless, needing him to baby her and take care of her, which isn’t anything new, but he’s still worried as all hell 🪐

how you were such an idiot. he told you not to dance in the rain for a stupid tik tok bc he knows you would get sick. “it’s for the views rin i could be popular!” those words echo in his head bc those were the most stupidest words you’ve ever said. there you were in bed, wearing his sweater and sniffling. between coughs you whine as he tries to get you to take your medicine. this was like taking care of a child. usually it’s the other way around and you take care of rin bc he never does himself. but it’s his turn to feel your stuggles. “cmon, last thing you’ll have to take and ill cuddle you, yeah?” ans u kinda just look up at him with doe eyes all watery, emotions are everywhere and god he wants to coddle u up already. finally you open your mouth as he feeds you the medicine and holds a water bottle for you to chase the bitter liquid down. hes never ever going to let you in the rain without warm clothes and an umbrella ever again.
