So, it turns out I forgot I reblogged this before, but my answers to 5 and 26 are still the same and can be read here

2. Are you an Austen person or a Bronte person?

I like both, but I haven't read anything by the Brontes in years and I have yet to read "Wuthering Heights". I remember "Jane Eyre" having more problematic moments than anything I ever read in a Jane Austen novel so far though. Was that scene with Rochester dressed as a romani woman really necessary, Charlotte? Was the ending of that novel really the best you could think of?

I did enjoy both of Anne Bronte's novels, but I forgot a lot of what happens in it. Due to all of that I am going to say Austen. She is also funny and the Brontes are not (or at least Charlotte's humour sucks). Maybe this question meant just Charlotte Bronte, but Anne so far is my fav and she is underrated compared to her sisters, unfortunatelly.

9. Are you for or against multiple narrators in the same book?

My favourite books usually have just one narrator and are written in first person, but I am not against multiple narrators. I feel that with just one narrator I get to know that character really well and I like that, but if the multiple narrators I get are as equally fleshed out, why not?

I vote for as long as the writer is talented enough to make them all interesting because I will never be one of those people that skip chapters because they don't like a character. Joe Abercrombie and Robin Hobb did it so it's time for everyone else to up their game. I think Abercrombie was more successful in that aspect, but that is not what the question is about.

11. Do you prefer to read at a certain time of day?

At night. For the sole purpose that no one interrupts me since the day is over and I have no more chores to do. I do read now and then during the day, but it's always annoying when I am really into a book and I have to stop to work or something. Just let me read!

13. How do you chose which book to read next?

Pfff good question. I just try a bunch at the same time and see what sticks. I am very much a mood reader so I will just try a few pages of one or another based on my mood and the synopsis and see which one I care to continue the most. It's a tiresome process and I hate it, but it's the only thing that works for me.

16. What’s your favourite of Shakespeare’s plays?

Honestly after attempting to read "The Tempest" this year I am not even sure I like Shakespeare anymore, but I am going to give the answer my early 20s year old self would give and that is "Macbeth" and "A Midsummer's Night's Dream". I only finished 6 Shakespeare plays so far and I have the opinion that "Hamlet" and "Romeo and Juliet" are overrated.

19. E-reader or traditional book?

I prefer traditional books. I like feeling them in my hands and turning the pages and they don't hurt my eyes or run out of battery. HOWEVER, I do love my e-reader too. I really like that I can access a bunch of books through a slim easy to carry device. I love that it doesn't take much space on the shelf and that I can adjust the font size because I can't read tiny letters anymore. Ebooks are usually cheaper and I don't have to wait for the books to be shipped and wonder if they will ever arrive. I don't have much space in my house for a bunch of shelves anyways and there is also the perk that I can read even after I turned off the lights. I know that there are devices made especially for reading books in the dark but they look annoying. It seems like a constant need to move the object when I need to turn the page. There are lamps I can put on a bedside table, but can I move around and still be able to read? Not really.

My true answer is that it depends. To read I prefer paperbacks. For practical reasons like space and accessibility I prefer ebooks.

20. Do you read in the bathroom?

If I am currently reading and I need to use the bathroom, yes. Not in the shower though. Those people have no fear.

21. Ideal reading position?

Walking around the house or laying down on my stomach or back. I can't stay in the same position for long.

25. Do you enjoy concepts in books to be concrete or abstract?

Abstract. I feel like concrete concepts lead to overexplaining and I like to think for myself and reach my own conclusions. Way too abstract can be annoying though.

27. Classics or modern literature?

If you had asked me this question 5 years ago I would've said classics. Nowadays is modern all the way. We improved a lot! There is way more inclusion of non straight and non white characters and all other kinds of people. More importantly, portrayed as way more complex and realistically than they were in classic works if they were there at all.

I used to think classics had better writing and I want to tell anyone that has that opinion right now that that is bullshit. There are a lot of recent works with amazing writing and there are a lot of classics that are absolute crap.

30. Have you ever written your own book?

No. Not an entire book. But I plan to and have some ideas already. I have no illusions of publishing it though. My country doesn't care much for fantasy. Especially portuguese fantasy, which we have one adult series that I can think of and the few others are in the children's section. I also want to write in english anyways because that way more people would be able to read it. If I ever finish anything I will probably just publish it online because I would like people (mostly my friends tbh) to read it. I want to share my work no matter if I get paid or not. I just want to enjoy the writing process and I hope someone enjoys reading it at least.

What do they think? Well, they are very different people so the opinions vary:

Riku Masao: Is honestly very confused by the information and put off. He was never a fan of neko girls or saturated color so, yeah. He would likely be a little more cynical with them than to others.

Sara Hernandez: She’s mostly curious about their origins. Where are they from? Could they take her to visit it? Is there a place full of cat people? She wants to know. Would end up talking more to Star than to Heart.

Ken Toranosuke: Neko girls?! For real?! In Hope’s Peak?! He would like to meet them and learn more! Like how they got their titles, their hobbies, their fandoms…Maybe he can find some for them!

Aya Murasaki: Has a similar reaction as Ken, just a little more calm. Like their hair and wonders if it’s natural or dyed. Also wants to know how they get clothing that allows tail movement (note: she loves those clothes). Definitly would lure them into trying cosplays.

Ryu (in process of changing his last name): Ryu is a simple man, if they don’t hurt his plants, they are okay. He’s genuinely worried that they may eat them (like some cats do). Poor guy has never met a cat person in his life and on top of that suffers mood swings, so who knows.

Kasumi Kotone: A little like Sara, wonders about cat people. Do they have the same rights as regular people? If she were to kill one, it would be murder or animal abuse? Those questions don’t let her sleep at night. She’s wary but those are the perks of a huntress.

Yusei Kazuya: At first it’s a shock for him. Then he reads about them and lets his guard down a little. He still thinks they are weird and would probably tell them so. He may come off as a toned down Riku.

Hikari Tsuyone: Really curious about Heart’s talent and she would like to learn some things from her. She’s the Ultimate Presentor after all! Any good presentor looks to improve themselves. She’s a little judgemental of the Luck thing on Star tho. If the cat parts are fluffy, you won points with her. c3<

Rin Shinko: “Oh so cute <3!” She wants to pinch their cheeks and ask them all about their friends! She would gradually start to ask about their love life and giving unasked advice. <3

Yoko Ruri: “30?! Like, really? That mean you can buy some things for us, right?” Depending on Star’s answer, Yoko will either loose or win interest on her.<3<

Taishi Reiki: Definitly would like a chat with them first. They look approachable enough, but he doesn’t like to jump to conclusions before talking to people. <>

Grenetine D’Chessur: As a cat owner, she’s another one with cat people related questions. Star reminds her of another certain cat that appears from time to time at Heartslabyul. Speaking of wich, she’s a little surprised to share a dorm with Heart.

Calamaria Ghiacco: Legit likes Heart’s hair and wonders how she keeps it like that. Don’t let her too much time with Star, the level of tsuderism will sky high on the room.

Reappina Delroy: Likes Star a little more. As neither of them are in her dorm, she probably wouldn’t care too much about them. She’s definitly judging their fashion choices. “What are those?”

Mudira Adder: Her one braincell said “Nope!” on trying to remember their names and would probably adress them by nicknames. To her, Heart is “Sully” and Star “Little Raising”. She probably turns into Star’s bane of existence.

Suha Koinor: Is midly intrigued by Heart’s abilities but not that much. The most she would do is send Mudira to watch over them. Cat people? Pfff, she has fought Savannaclaw students before.

Dahlia: To her, they are like any other people she has met. From time to time she would give them advice on how to survive on NRC; but, when she sees they don’t need her, she will leave them pretty much on their own.

Chausiku Sacmis: To her, they are little kittens. It doesn’t matter how many times Star insists on her age, it means little to the lioness. Probably the less surprised about ther overall apearance.

So, Dave, huh?

Doesn't seem as if Dirk is expecting him to fall unconscious too from the looks of it.

But that doesn't mean that he might not. It depends on who's really behind the condition, Dirk or Alternate Calliope.

You'd think Dave might get called by Roxy when they can't wake Jade up, but that might happen in the latter half of the page.

It's notable that Dirk even as almost omniscient narrator seems harried to continue acknowledging certain scenes. As if he fears he might be influenced.

"DAVE: holy shit thats disgusting KARKAT: DON’T BE A FUCKING XENOPHOBE DAVE: im not being a xenophobe" Yeah Dave, be more sensitive towards the people whose body image is celestial. :P

"Karkat doesn’t respond immediately. He shuffles his feet to the edge of the outcropping they’re standing on and stares down at the brood pit, where the Mother Grub of Earth C is squelching out unfertilized jelly." :O They actually left their hive! And they're meeting up with Kanaya! So... yeah, didn't think we'd require further indulging into the reproductive cycle of trolls, we had TMI already, but here we are. :P Jelly to go into the slurry, unfertilized like fish eggs. Joy.

I can definitely understand he feels some very heavy feelings right now, since everything that happened in the A2 session and after has lead to this moment. So I'm definitely allowing Karkat a measure of solemnness, and perhaps even feeling proud and aloof at the achievement.

"Dave comes to the edge of the outcropping, standing shoulder to shoulder with Karkat as he too observes the majesty of translucent goo getting birthed out of an alien asshole." So majestic. I'm definitely getting "Mufasa showing Simba the Pride Lands" vibes from this scene. :P

That might be her reasoning behind waiting until after the time skip to hatch the Grub. For the bond that would form between troll and grub. Maybe she felt she alone could handle the responsibility, or she craved a little sliver of that contact she lossed with her own custodian.

"KANAYA: Power Corrupts In Small Steps KANAYA: Compromises KANAYA: Concessions KANAYA: Appeasements KANAYA: And Leaders Follow The Example Set For Them KANAYA: Look At What Jane Has Modeled Herself After Already" So maybe the situation on Beforus wasn't Feferi's doing single-handedly, just a situation that grew and grew over millennia. A goal reached by means bartered over, the result corrupted in the process of achieving it.

I don't think Jane really modelled herself after the Condesce consciously, but if it's the only example of a powerful business woman she had, then of course she'd unknowingly copy some bad habits she doesn't think are bad.

And yes, Karkat might admire achievements made by what he believes to be his betters (Vriska, Meenah, the Condesce), but he's learned not to copy their behaviour.

aHHHh i can’t pick oneeee because they both have such cute laughssss ajaskjdghkjhgkj like raine has cute little bubbly giggles and eda has a rlly cute more boisterous laugh with lots of snorts🥺 i love them bothhhh <3

2) what are their tickle spots?

Raine’s sweet spots are definitely their sides, knees (+bonus points if ya get behind their knees), hips and ribs (probably one of their worst spots). For Eda, definitely her ribs and underarms, and side pokes will always make her gigglyyyy

Raine is really ticklish behind their ears, which Eda thinks is the cutest fucking thing ever (it makes their laugh all squeaky and giggly hjdfkjdhgkjlfd fucking precious <3). Eda’s palms of her hands are pretty ticklish, which Raine found rather amusing to exploit while they were cuddling pfff

during cuddles Eda discovered how ticklish Raine’s ears were, then from then on did her own little experimental pokes to their sides to try and find other sweet spots <3 Raine just loves hearing her laugh, and one time when they cracked a stupid joke, Eda thought it was the funniest thing ever and Raine thought her snort laugh was the cutest fucking thiNG, so naturally they teased her about it all like “aww did you just snort? awww!” and that led to them poking at her sides and before Eda knew it her fate was sealed AJKDFLKJFGH

Edaaaaa, omgosh she cannot handle raspberries for the life of her. One raspberry is enough to send her into hysterics, and on top of that, given by Raine?? just count her dead at this point, its pretty much the silliness of it all + how much it actually tickles that makes her lose it right away

while it does happen to both of them on occasion, its definitely Raine more often than not that needs the lil’ nudge to wake up in the morning. Eda usually showers them in tickly kisses till they giggle themselves awake, then depending on how cooperative Raine is feeling (or if they really want morning tickles-) they’ll either try and bury themselves under the covers more and attempt to go back to sleep, or get up and accept defeat pfff

almost always Eda. She just loves being silly and playful, and having those moments in her relationship with Raine are so important, since they both enjoy taking time to forget the stresses of day-to-day life and letting loose around each other! <3

RYAN: *after hanging out with orchid, ryan's been feeling a little lighter, and leaving skaia to visit people has become that much easier. so with that feeling of freedom, she decides to stop by odimist again. she drapes on colt for a little while before she devotes her time to finn and his new baby. she's just as gorgeous as in the photos, and during the visit, she's found she's really quite fond of hanging out with tiny babies... they're in the living room at colt and little's place, and ryan has lounging with this bundle in her arms for a while now.*
