No matter how optimistic Boothill can be, he's also just as vulnerable as any human in this universe.

He's absolutely over the moon when you cradle his head against your chest. His arms wrap themselves around your waist, and he can't help but nuzzle himself into you even more - he lets out a few content noises, although muffled, sighing in relief when he feels one of your hands gently carding through his white locks.

It's one of those times, when words aren't needed. Boothill feels the softness of your skin on the very last part of own humanity, tickling you just below your collar bones with his lashes; he's at peace, almost as if the time has stopped for just you two.

Even though the possessive Boothill is still here, he knows in that moment, that you belong to him and vice versa - he feels safe, here, in your arms, longing the feeling to feel the warmth radiating off of you until the very end.

✮ - daydreams, a lot. you can find him sitting and staring off into the horizon, without a care in the world. he'll softly hum a random tune as his mind explores. you're often the subject of his daydreams- and also the reason why he constantly gets asked 'what are you smiling about?'

✮ - always wants to know you're ok. of course he knows you're an independent girl boss (HELP) and can fight your own battles- but despite that, he can't help but want to protect you from anything that comes your way. he doesn't want to lose you too. ✮ - brings you little trinkets from his adventures. he always manages to find some object that reminds him of you. he won't admit it, but he partly buys them so he can have 'a piece of you' throughout the remainder of his journey. ✮ - probably named a star after you. "his star" he'd say. whether he's with you or without- he looks up to that star whenever he needs a reminder of what to push through for.

Ghost with a Comforting and Protective Reader

More so than anything, he’d be surprised. He’s 1,95m tall, muscular and brooding. And yet here you are putting his face in your hands, calling him the most handsome man you’ve ever met. It’s not unwelcome, just not something he ever thought he’d have in his life. He expected to be the big, scary protector of his partner for the rest of his life, but having someone want to take care of him like that? Don’t get me wrong, it feels nice, but it also feels somewhat weird to him. He should be the big scary guard dog. While he may not be good with feelings, either his or those of others, he could always lend a listening ear. And yet you kiss his scars, reassure him that you will always stay by his side, no matter what and will tuck him into bed even. At first he doesn’t trust any of this, thinking you to be too nice to him, but eventually he’ll realize that there are no ulterior motives, that you are just like that towards him. And after some time, he’ll start melting into you, growing to trust you more and more each day. Simon would become a bit softer with you, would walk through fire just so he can see you smile. But you reassure him that no such thing is necessary. He may not ever be sure when it would be appropriate for you, but he’d come to crave your touch more and more as time goes on, even going as far as trapping you in the most tender hug he can muster. Sometimes he fantasizes about laying his head in your lap with you playing with his hair a bit, but he wouldn’t admit to such out loud since he still has his pride. You being protective over him would also be weird to him. He can handle himself just fine, so why are you getting mad at the cashier for the pickle in his burger? Why are you arguing with the drunkard wanting to start a fight with him? He won’t know what to do, no one’s ever protected him from anything ever since he was a little child. It would warm his heart a bit and make him appreciate you even more. Sure, he can do just fine on his own, but he’d be lying if he said his heart wouldn’t skip a beat whenever you’re being protective over him. If he could, he’d just pick you up bridal style and carry you home, but you’re in public so he’ll only think about how much he wants to be your little spoon this entire time. He’ll let his guard down around you and show you that he, too, can be a softer guy underneath his rough exterior with in the most domestic ways out there. He’ll think about marrying you immediately once he’s aware that he’s essentially become a softer man thanks to you. But he’ll wait still until he’s sure you’re on board as well.

he, on the other hand, is so gentle with you. he has to. any extended power would result in broken bones. while you’re going crazy going stupid with your smothering, he has to treat you like a flower at the best of times, if he doesn’t want to hurt you.

he will give you head pats, give single kisses onto the back of your hand, your forehead, your lips. he will hold your small hand on his spacious palm and softly play with your fingers. maybe teasingly give you light pinches at the skin and trap you in his arms, but that’s about it. he saves his own roughness for the in-bed activities 🤭

is probably most likely clumsy with giving affection as often as you, so he appreciates your joy of initiating your displays of love. he will always accept them, and he will always be there to catch you when you jump out at him with a squeal.

Thinking about celebrating Zandy’s birthday…

As a child, Zandik’s birthday surely wasn’t celebrated, in fact he was probably treated worse on that day as it was the day the heretic came into this world. A cursed day. He had to watch all the other kids be filled with joy and glee with all the attention and gifts they received, not to mention how he was never invited to their birthday parties… 

And now, Zandy, his child self, also faces a similar situation. The boy reads books and stories about the wonders of birthdays and he too wishes to experience the same, as any child would, but he knows better than to bring up the topic with the segments or Prime. Still, every time his birthday rolls around, he hopes that it’ll at least be acknowledged. He’s wrong of course, but he’s grown used to disappointment. Until you come along.

Obviously, you’re deeply saddened when you hear the little child has never even received a “Happy Birthday,” much less celebrated it. So you make it your duty to see to it that Zandy has a multitude of good birthdays. You don’t let him know of your plans of course, you can’t wait to see the surprise on his face.

Perhaps appearing in the boy’s room at 12 AM and rousing him from his sleep wasn’t the best idea, but he sure seemed to like it! Blurry eyes adjusting to the brightness of the room, and then confused at why you’re in his room at this hour, and then his eyes drifting down to the cake in your hand, with a “Happy Birthday, Zandy!” written in the middle. The kid grabs onto you so hard you almost drop the cake. Despite waking up a mere few minutes ago, he seems to have all the energy in the world. He has a lot of fun blowing out the numerous candles you stuck in there (you had to help him because he couldn’t manage by himself.)

Needless to say, that was certainly one of Zandy’s favorite days ever. And he looks forward to your promise of taking him out of the lab on a future birthday.
