ive always sorta felt disconnected with my gender and i dont think me being autistic helps with it either. what with trying to pinpoint feelings and all that being hard. and it has i guess planted a lot of doubt surrounding my thoughts and feelings about my own gender in my mind. i question if everything im feeling is just bc im autistic. which is why im making this post!! i just need some outside perspectives and thoughts and i guess i want to know that im probably not alone in my struggles with this.

idk how i wanna structure this post but ill just write down the things that come to mind.

like before i hit puberty i was not into the idea of it at all. and before i had considered the fact that i might be trans, i thought it was just because i didnt like the thought of change. and i think thats normal, being hesitant about puberty.

BUT uhm. now im not religious. but i vividly remember praying to god that i would at least be as late a bloomer as possible. if not, never ever going through afab puberty. and i always felt more inclined towards amab puberty, and i thought it was a MUCH better deal than whatever afab puberty was going to do with me.

and i feel really silly writing this cause that does not sound like something a normal cis girl would do or think... and i feel quite confident in me being not cis. but i guess this is just a post to seek some validation in my suspicion and feelings. but i also want to know if it is an experience others share.

eddie still doesnt say anything. a car pulls up a few spaces away, turns half the parking lot gold with its headlights before it shuts off, plunging it back to black. richie drums his fingers skittishly against the steering wheel. 

“ok i need you to say something, eddie,” richie says finally, after what feels like a decade, “i’m going crazy over here.” 

eddie blinks, and even in the shadowy-dark, richie swears he can see eddies face go red. “i…dont know what to say.” 

richie feels like he’s going to be sick. “just, uh, that you dont hate me and still wanna be a my friend would be nice,” he says, tries to play that off as a joke. 

“i dont hate you,” eddie says. and at least that sounds sincere. 

“well, thats a relief,” richie says. it looks like eddie is about to say more, but he doesnt. a crease forming in his brow, lips pursed and pushed up toward his cheek, as though he’s contemplating something.

“ok. uh. lets just talk abt something else then, eh?” richie says, awkward. “pass me some of those fries.” 

but eddie doesnt. the little crease in his brow just deepens. and then eddie is shoving away the fastfood and kneeling up on the truck’s bench seat.

richie startles, watches with wide eyes as eddie shuffles closer to him. places one hand on richies shoulder, reaches over with the other to cup richies jaw and turn his head to face him. looking very determined. 

“i…” richies whole face is burning, his throat tight. “what are you doing?” 

“im going to kiss you,” eddie says, very matter of fact. 

richie tries to say something, but all that comes out is a broken, strangled sound. 

“is that okay?” eddie asks. 

“uh yes. yep. fucking. yes.” eddies face is so close. his lips are so close. slightly parted, look so plump and soft and kissable. its a surprise richie manages to have a single coherent thought, but he gets out: “im just very confused.” 

“i like you too, okay? i just didnt know how to say it.” eddie’s voice threatens to speed up in that way it does when he’s nervous. but he breathes in, swallows it down. and says, much gentler, “so i… thought i’d show you.” and as he says that, his cheeks go red and his gaze drops to richies own mouth, and richie just about passes out. 

“okay,” richie breathes. okokokokokokokokok

eddie hesitates. they are paused, staring at each other’s lips. then eddie lifts his hands from richies shoulder to cup richies face with both hands.

and he swoops in and kisses him. 

but eddie pulls away quickly, like he’s still a little unsure, anxious eyes flitting between richies. but richie just says, dazed, “kiss me again” and eddie cant say no to that. so he does.

its a kiss thats soft for all of five seconds. theyve both wanted this so badly for so long. richie wraps his arms around eddies waist, eddie wraps his arms around richies shoulders. richie deepens the kiss, pushing up against eddie so much that eddie begins to lean backwards. eddie lets him, bringing richie even closer. 

when they pull away for air, they leave only a breath between their mouths. lips brushing as their chests heave. eddie looks down at richie with lowered eyelids and it drives richie crazy. 

“you like me,” richie breathes. 

he can feel eddies smile against his own his mouth. “you like me,” eddie says.

this actually made me giggle!! let’s see...hmmm...International Relations isn’t really a popular major, but I do assure you it’s incredibly interesting!! I’m sure there are differences in the course material since I’m living in the Philippines, and it would be different anywhere else in the world (esp in regards to subjs relating to your country and its foreign policies). But I’ll list things I really love about this degree!! I’m gonna put a read more bc it’s kinda long lmaoooo

HISTORY!! POLITICS!! CULTURE!! OBSCURE GEOPOLITICAL THEORIES NO ONE REALLY HAS HEARD ABOUT EXCEPT FOR PROBABLY GERRYMANDERING!!

i’ll just say it, im a history nerd. I like reading world history and knowing how things happened and why. I think it’s pretty cool. I like reading about politics, how things just connect after you’ve realized the bigger picture. Culture is nice too, and it’s actually one of the best parts of this major!! Also you get to learn at least one language!!!

 And then here comes the theories. There are a lot of them and they can come in all shapes, sizes and forms, and most of the time, they’re kind of too “out-there” to actually make sense. But when you could finally understand what the authors are trying to say (bc political book authors are sometimes not the best writers... fck u Heywood...), it’s such a rewarding epiphany.

The thing about this course is that, you shouldn’t take it if you’re not interested in these kinds of things because it could get reallyyyyyy boring. While I do love the topic, i have to admit I might’ve slept in class a few times.

MEETING LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE!!

This is the course that I actually met Leanne, who is one of my most trusted and closest friend ever. We just clicked, especially with our opinion on things and our love for History and Politics!!! We actually share our thoughts a lot of times, and we often stay talking for so many hours bc we just have a lot of things to share lmaoooo She’s really interested about Israel and the Middle East, while I have a lot of thoughts on East Asia. 

It depends on your batch tho. Our classmates on the other hand seemed like they wanted to be somewhere else. They’re not particularly interested in the subject, and was just working hard for the grades. It’s understandable but a bit disappointing that only Leanne, Me, and another guy who’s pretty much proclaimed himself as a communist are the only ones who seemed to be enjoying.

I really like how this course had widened my perspective on things, especially with how society has become more politically active. I used to be so vocal about my opinions, but after graduating, I just realized I often only know one side of things, and I shouldn’t really be too hasty/harsh with my words or even share them at all, when I don’t really know anything. 

Contrary to popular belief, it’s up to you if you wanna go to the route of political activism, and you will definitely encounter it at university. I myself can’t handle it bc it affects my mental health so badly, I’d rather not do something triggering. 

But!!! But!! But!! THIS COURSE ACTUALLY HELPED ME A LOT WITH WORLDBUILDING IN MY STORIES!! Since I’ve been learning a lot about countries/nations and how they work and why they do the things they do, I can use the same theories to make my own worlds more realistic in a sense. 

I usually follow something like a Dialectic Materialism triangle (i heard it was by Marx but not sure!!! i dont wanna google at 2AM anymore) which explains that society’s decisions/inclinations/preferences are determined by its economics. It makes sense in a diagram hahahha I use it to make sense of why people in my stories think they way they do!! 

Even if you were asking me about what I love about this, I’m not sure I can say anything without telling you the bad sides of it. Like I said, if topics like Politics, History, Economics, Theories, etc. doesn’t interest you, you really shouldn’t take this course. The same thing happened to our classmates. It’ll be like living hell. Because it’s not an easy major, even I hate it sometimes. You always have to read and read and read!! The course doesn’t stop at the material/book given. You gotta hit the library and find books about certain topics and follow the daily national and international news. It’s still a habit of mine I’ve brought to this day!!

The professors are shrewd, strict and downright mean (in our case), which I dont blame them for. The Diplomatic corps is a freakin hellhole if you’re not prepared to take in all the stress of constant work, anxiety of not making up to the standard (which is pretty high), and the whole dynamic and ever-changing nature of the tasks, you’re gonna go crazy. And I mean it not in the metaphorical sense. I was intern at our foreign ministry and I’ve heard stories. 

But, that’s only if you plan on joining the Diplomatic corps lmaoooooo the major is such a worthwhile thing to take! It widens your perspective, and makes you more open to different political opinions ( i mean, you get to understand why people believe the things they do, because it is determined by a lot of factors), and it’s super helpful in my writing!!!

Tw; suicide attempt, mental illness, suicide: I'm safe, everyone is safe, nothing happened currently or at any recent time. No danger, not about me.

I know I'm barely active on tumblr but after forever of not venting on social media, there is just no where like tumblr and its illusion of anonymity to do so. Like. Hm. I know many suicidal people in my life, you kmow, almost all people I know are mentally ill to varying degrees, I am mentally ill. I'm fortunate enough to rarely if ever feel suicidal I felt hopeless and self destructive and trapped. At height of my depression I felt like i understand why people commit suicide: because they really cant care about anything, and I got how they could do it. But I didnt want to do it, or seriously consider it, I just understood how ppl living lifetime like that without being able to see themselves ever get better for even moments, just . Going through life like that not like me temporarily do it.

My suicidal friends get actually suicidal not just like me, but I never felt concerned...for their life. I felt concerned for their well being, deeply, concerned that they are in a place where they want to die, where it's something they think about at all and sometimes think about a lot. Concerned that they are doing so badly mentally that they are constantly fighting suicidal thoughts to stay alive, but I knew, that unless something drastic changed with their life/support system/mental state, at least i was never worried about suicide I was worried they're suicidal.

And then theres my roommate :( and they're more than just my roommate, they really grew to be like, my family? They're an older sibling like, in every way but blood to me at this point, and we joke about everythinnnggggggg like everything like from their growing up in extreme poverty to like any of our mental illnesses and like whatever but with much love and never actual sting - and part of that is the fact that I know they are depressed/suicidal, even if not actively you know but, it is there. They couldnt finish lots of milestones due to paralyzing depression that didnt allow them to leave the house or even speak for a decade. But - literally. which is crazy because they're one of the smartest most educated & intelligent people I know and they never even finished highschool. So what there is to do but joke you know 🤷‍♀️ life sucked, we're here now, still struggling but vaguely better and very alive, most of the time (to both lol), so we genuinely support each other but we also banter - " shut up I'm gonna kill you!!!" "You keep promising.."

But the thing is, that this isnt the first time where it really hits me how close they were to actually committing suicide you know, I knew they were more serious about suicide than most of my suicidal friends but, it just, really hit me you know. The first time they told me about a suicide attempt they were drunk and it was very brief, making another point and also talking about something else, and I.. was really shaken. They didnt notice at the time because again, they were drunk (?) And I mean i didnt mind them talking, it just really effected me. But this time it caught me off guard again... they casually said something about moving somewhere, and I was like omg you wanted to move there I didnt know, and they were like yeah bc (but there was a friend over so they said nvm later lol) and then...I casually asked why they wanted to move and. They were like yeah bc I was planning to commit suicide and (their actual plan, not down to detail of the suicide they never say that clearly but you know, the atmosphere which would allow and how they prepared to it). And it's never said dramatically, or with more than a sentence or two but it just suddenly become so real. Like. I can see. I can see them planning to do it and I dont know how and I dont wanna know how hut I know that in at least one point in their life they knew exactly how, and if ambulance (and then police came too) wasnt involved it would have happened.

And then I think about one of my best friends who lost his ex roommate last year, she committed suicide and it really shook our community bc she was a major figure here. And he was only roommates with her for short period of time, and they were close, not as close as me and Jac are though. And ...of course, it was devastating to him, he didnt think it would really happen you know? Who does? He knee she is struggling we are all struggling and then it happened and then it was final and then it was too late. And I keep. Keep thinking in those moments. What if it will happen to me, what if I'll be in his place one day in the future what if things will go so wrong, and I'll be the one who lost her ex roomate but it will be so much worse because I'll lose my sibling/family...

This time they werent really drunk so... they figured I'm actually concerned and were like oh no dont...dont look like that I'm fine , shouldnt have said anything aw maya dont make that face etc. And they are. They are fine right now, and I'm not gonna make big deal out of this and I didnt I just kinda. Made a face and made a small joke u know and was like you're screwed bc if u had any plans you shouldn't have become my roommate bc now ur disallowed of dying: ever

I've been working a lot lately and doin a lot of reflection while working and i just wanna talk about some thoughts ive had feel free to scroll if you want and pls dont reblog

So when i was a sophomore in high school/15 yrs old i was pretty much at my lowest point. Like i was in the throes of puberty, i still wasnt coping well w my trauma and my depression and anxiety were at their worst, like i honestly spent most of that year in an almost dissociative daze? Like i physically was in class but mentally i was watching myself go through the actions and i felt disconnected from my body and from every body and it was just in general not a Good Time

But there was one encounter thats really stuck w me since that year and I've just been thinking about it a lot bc i honestly think it might have saved my life. So like for context i suck at chemistry and my teacher of that class also kinda sucked and he'd like leave the room and fuck around w his teacher pals while we were doing experiments so like when this happened it was just students in the class, and as you can expect a bunch of 15 yr olds left unsupervised like to mess around

My grade was already so bad enough that i didnt want to fuck around and i also didn't have any friends in that class so i was just doing the work we were assigned, and for the project we had to like heat beakers w some solution and then record some measurement every 2 minutes, and i was working w a group of three other people, two dudes mamed kyle and sam, and a girl named katie

Kyle katie and sam all had friends in the class so like i was 100% sure i was the only one paying attention to the experiment but when the timer buzzed i reached for the beaker and sam reached too and we like bumped hands? But mine was around the beaker so his hand wrapped around mine and like i looked up at him bc it was surprising and he looked me in the eye and he said, "yknow its all gonna be okay one day, right?" and kt was so startling because for one i felt Seen and it felt liek he knew that i was hurting so badly and that he maybe even knew what it was like to hurt like that and he ws reassuring me through it

So like i nodded and then he let go of my hand and i recorded the data and the day went on but like i still remember it vividly because it honestly felt like someone was acknowledging me and my pain that i tried really hard ti hide, and it ended up being true. Like im not a perfect person now i still have fits of Them Depression Blues and anxiety is still a bitch but i do overall feel so much better and i have a passion for my life again and where im headed, and its crazy to think i might habe never reached this place if he hadnt seen me for me that day

And like i know its weird for me to be remembering a super small moment from like 4 years ago but isaw one of his friends at the restaurant before i quit and i just wonder if he remembers that day because it honestly changed me so much and helped me grow into the person i am today and he might not even remember it. also yeah as per usual tangent this is long and rambly excuse spelling errors im abt to go to bed and please dont reblog k thanks bye
