I just remembered that YK1 has a Mine model in the files - I assume modified from Hijikata since YK1 uses the same engine as the original Ishin - and I guess maybe they were considering doing something with him the same way they made Majima talk abut Saejima a couple of times. It's a bit sad that they ultimately didn't do anything with him but also makes sense because Daigo's not on the scene yet.

...they really should have added homeless Akiyama into the money rain cutscene though.
