A unique reaction was noted when the sample was exposed to lights and energy charges of a certain frequency. This reaction was the activation of the ectoplasmic bonds within the sample, causing a change in color and nature, where the sample reacted more similarly to ectoplasm, that blood. While interesting to observe outside of the specimen, the experiment must be repeated with the subject itself to if the reaction also occurs intravascularly as well.

Machete and Vasco are so pomegranate-and-the-hand-that-slices coded. To me.

Pomegranates are seen as messy, bloody, inconvenient fruits. You slice or tear or bite and in return for your effort you come away underwhelmed, disgusted, and stained too deep to wash. The consumption of a pomegranate is a violent act of defilement, for both the fruit and the eater.

But that is because most do not understand how to open a pomegranate. They have little patience for the precise carving. They see no point in coreing the fruit gently, no reason to be reverent as they pull the quarters apart. When done correctly, opening a pomegranate leaves little mess. Your fingers will still stain, your knife will still slick, but there will be no pool of crimson drowning both you and the fruit.

The seeds are only sweet to those who understand the merit of a light hand and intricate slicing. Why put in so much effort for a food so bitter and clearly armored against consumption? Surely it must not yearn to be eaten.

What I love about Hellboy and Abe Sapien's dynamic in the comics is that, if you came into this blind, you'd expect Abe to be the voice of reason or the straight man to Hellboy's impulsive and hotheaded personality. But no, Abe is more often than not the crazy one. Hellboy would deal with fighting evil monsters and bad guys by just sighing and getting it over with, while Abe is going rabid over tearing the creature apart when he does get into a fight. Hellboy acts like it's a 9-to-5 job and will reasonably talk things out with a guy that had nearly killed him before, Abe acts like a madman in a slaughter house and his first instinct is to shoot first kill second and ask third. They're both insane, but on completely different levels.

Not-tober Day 1: Heterocromia

Scribbled some Tiger Rock and did some colour testing for him!

Picked the prompt 'Heterochromia' from the Cringetober list. I was gonna just keep doodling him with one or two coloured ones but the colours are a pain so this'll do lmao

Did you know in the book he's described as white? White, white, white, white, white, white and white? With a gold medallion and gold bauble studs on his clothes? There's no colour on this guy at all whadda hell

And yet it attempts to, finally succumbing under the restraints of its trap, tied down by harsh rope and wires with a good several needles filled with what it assumes are tranquilizers stabbed into it, despite its groggy and exhausted state. Not out of a desperation to escape but rather because of spite and defiance as glistening golden claws dug effortlessly through the ground. Alas, the drugs make it so that all of it was futile.

Maybe it shouldn't have tried to grab that piece of human meat conveniently placed on top of a small pile of dirt surrounded by the deserts foliage. Ah well, you live and you learn. Hopefully live.

It's odd, usually it complies to the idea of being under the blade on a cold operating table. Perhaps all those weeks, months, maybe even a year at this point out in the wilderness has given it a sense of freedom and rebellion rather than be the obedient little experiment it once was.

Critter huffs through its nose, slit pupils glaring daggers up at the man before it while its hairless tail slowly sways back and forth impatiently and the tapping an index finger hits the dirt below it. Alright, what now? He smells familiar, familiar yet all too foreign and that alone seems to unsettle it which only made it react with a snarl baring teeth. It figured something like this would happen eventually, either some crazy bastard was going to manage to hunt it and put it down, or it gets recaptured. Back into testing, back into a hell within hell. And damn if it wasn't going to go down without a fight.

Could be worse, at least it isn't dying. Maybe.
