At this point my standards are ridiculous. I’m an idiot. Hard-stop. And yet you, somehow, don’t see that. You call me “cute” and “adorable”. If only you knew the mental damage these words do to me. My heart flutters inside me, beating like I’d just run a mile; my tongue stops working. I just sit there. Staring silently like the aforementioned idiot. I know I joke a lot but I swear: I’m deadly seriously. I’m not like most others. I’m not strong or resilient. My heart does not harden so easily. I tell myself “I won”t let it get to me” but I know the truth. It will.

Fun fact: every song I hear is about you. Every line and word in every poem or prose. It’s you. It’s always been you. My eyes hold you. My heart pines for you. I love you with so much of my heart and I’ve given you so much of my heart that there is nothing left to deny. But for now, I’m alone. Armed with nothing but deep love and raw words.

AU where Loki doesn’t interfere with Thor’s banishment at all and it takes Thor years to prove himself worthy and when he returns to Asgard everything is just. The same. Nothing seems to have changed at all and everyone greets him like his absence was a minor obstacle that didn’t fundamentally change Thor and the worst part is Loki stepped down from the place as regent without any delay and Thor can’t help but feel there’s something underlaying the way his brother looks at him now and won’t let him touch him and Thor doesn’t know what he could have missed because he doesn’t think he would have found anything wrong with the things around him and how everyone behaves if he hadn’t spent time on Earth reflecting.

Not OC related but I did wanna say this:

The Acolyte tv show looks incredible. And I don’t say this because the costumes look phenomenal (they do) or because it’s so wonderful to see interesting and complex Jedi stories (it is).

This show looks incredible because this show is diverse. There have always been Jedi played by people of color, but they’ve never been main characters/lead roles in the live action mainstream media. They’ve never been the main focus like this. The main focus in the mainstream Star Wars media. This isn’t some book that general audiences will ignore, this isn’t some animated spin off or some side character. These are lead roles in a live action Star Wars series.

Having so many different cast members with different racial and cultural backgrounds is incredible. Seeing this diverse cast play diverse, complex and compelling Jedi is something I’ve yearned for my entire life. Never ever underestimate the impact or importance of representation.

My OC Ailani and her story partially exist because as a kid, I didn’t have any Jedi who looked like me, so when I played pretend, I made a character up. Now I don’t think this show will necessarily be for children, but the representation matters to all of us who never got it as children. That representation matters to all of us who grew up without it.

Star Wars: The Acolyte looks incredible.
