VOX IS SO FUCKING JEALOUS OF ANGEL I CANT STAND THIS PATHETIC LOSER ANYMORE (i love him)

vox puts up a front to make himself look charming, but underneath that is an insecure, obsessive, controlling man. he’s obsessed with things that can and have hurt him (alastor, valentino) and even though he has cameras everywhere and can no doubt see how abusive valentino is, he’s fixated on the fact that he isn’t the main subject of valentino’s attention, and he wants to be.

he’s even overjoyed in the brief moment that he thought that angel had quit, his face lighting up hopefully as he asks the question and getting upset/frustrated when valentino cares more about going to get angel than vox telling him not to. now, i’m not saying that this is the ONLY reason vox sounded happy when asking if angel had quit because vox is also likely just sick and tired of hearing valentino yapping about angel 24/7 (if u look back, he does it in nearly every single scene he’s in. imagine years of living with him.) but he’s DESPERATE to be valentino’s favorite, and he’s unhealthily obsessed with the idea of it. same with alastor and the way he’s obsessed with him to the point of literally being turned on at the sight of him hurt.

finally, at the end of poison, the second vox sees angel on the balcony, he makes a face, looks at val, and immediately dips. if that first look was not the face of jealousy, i don’t know what is.

in conclusion he’s so fucking jealous i just cannot do this anymore guys I CANT THIS LOSER NEEDS MENTAL ASSISTANCE 😐🫵

Satisfaction Brought It Back, by commanderquill. it’s a fic where Damian doesn’t end up with the Batfam when he comes to Gotham, but instead with Selina, and they become paw-tners in crime.

Spoiler Alert!, by almondrose. I really liked this one and thought it was inspiring bc i LOVE “time travel”/“supernatural” fics (it’s not rlly specified). i thought the concept was something ppl should expand

So, You Come Here Often? by Kate_Sylvester. It’s an amnesia JonDami fic that’s sweet and funny with some emotions! Cute Awkward flirting (if u couldn’t tell by the title)

I’m Where I Need To Be by BrickSheep is one of my ALL TIME FAVS!!! fem!Damian (who might seem OOC but it makes sense given what Damian’s gone through/how she was raised in this au. since Damian’s personality is very hinged on his upbringing i think this fic did a good job on showing how different the character would be if their experiences are different.), and i love the relationship between her and her family!!!! very sweet and wholesome and i did cry so much at the end (and throughout the whole thing-)

Who Broke It?, orphan_account. i liked this oneshot. it’s funny and the family shenanigans are hilarious (especially Damian’s reactions to them-). i loved the sibling solidarity and thought it was nice and realistic.

Don’t Be Suspicious by CarrionCarnival. This one is a funny one ab Damian accidentally getting high, and it made me wanna write Stoner Damian fics. It’s silly and pretty cute, with protective older siblings coming in at the end.

Because I love lore and worldbuilding and want to incorporate the environment and history into my writing, I’ve been doing a lot of research on Waterdeep for my fanfic including, you guessed it, Gale x my Tav.

And honestly? I’m having a lot of fun. I’m looking into the founding, the rulers/leaders, their holidays and how they celebrate them, which districts are fancier and where Gale would potentially reside (I remember seeing screenshots of his tower being located on the harbor, so he’s likely in the lower tail of the Castle Ward, since I doubt he’d be living in the Lowercity in the Dock Ward, but it’s still possible!), as well as just areas of his city. I just really like how the small details of the City of Splendors add to Gale as a character.

(Also I am having the BEST time taking the piss out of Waterdhavians—my Tav Hylas says:

I can tell based on your accent that you’re Waterdhavian—though your extensive vocabulary and verbosity made that clear long before I noticed it.
