taylor (@steddie-island) and i have been in the trenches for the past week creating the most beautiful (and smutty) steddissy au and i'm very 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 about it. it's still mostly headcanons right now with inklings of plot sprinkled in, so i thought i should make a worldbuilding post about it since it's officially being added to my wip pile <3
tagging some people i think would be interested in this: @dangerous-disposition @tboybuck @patchworkgargoyle @thefreakandthehair @starryeyedjanai
@corrodedbisexual @sidekick-hero @spectrum-spectre @munsondickprint @augustjustice
@worstsequence @rozzieroos
it doesn't get real graphic under the cut but putting it under one bc it's a lil long
Tumblr media
the beginnings of it are touched on here, but it's expanded a little bit.
it's a modern au. steddissy are still in that platonic/friends with benefits stage: steve and eddie are dating but chrissy is very happy and content being single. she likes that it gives her more freedom to do things without having a controlling partner breathing down her neck every time she turns around.
they're streamers. i don't have their niche's fleshed out yet but they do collabs with each other a lot.
we went into dirty details in dms about the three of them sexting constantly, which turns into them rolling out their onlyfans accounts. they already have so many things filmed just from their texts alone, so why not make money off of it?
some more headcanons and ideas were thrown around (along with taylor giving me snippets of her own steddissy wips that you should def ask her about if she's willing to share them 👀) that i'll probably make a separate post for.
it's been established that chrissy is a squirter
but between all the filthy smut, there's love. so much of it that i get choked up just thinking about it.
i started thinking of people who are in mostly online spaces and have probably never interacted with the queer community in real life, and how they wouldn't have the kindest opinions.
so eddie would get all of these tweets that are like "you're gay but you enjoy having sex with a woman??? [confused math lady] make it make sense." he ignores them at first because randos on the internet aren't entitled to his relationships, but it becomes frequent enough that he starts getting accused of "calling himself gay for clout" and dragging steve and chrissy into it, and then he has to address it.
he does it in a video because he's still dramatic.
"having sex with a woman doesn't make me not gay. i've been gay since i was 15 and a boy gave me my first hickey. chrissy is my platonic partner. yes, she's very cute and adorable and it makes me want to scream sometimes, but i'm not attracted to her because she's a woman. i'm attracted to her because she's my best friend and my feelings for her run so much deeper than romantic love. chrissy doesn't even label herself with a sexuality. she just likes people.
steve is my boyfriend. i'm romantically involved with him and physically attracted to him because he's a man. steve, however, is bi, so he does find chrissy attractive as a woman, and there's nothing wrong with that. they're also not interested in dating each other. the three of us fool around with each other because it's fun and we like making each other feel good and we trust each other. it's nobody else's business what we do."
and because he's a petty little shit (a trait he learned from steve) he posts a video of him and chrissy having the most tendernasty missionary sex, complete with kissing and hand holding.
then it turned into the three of them being roommates. and then somewhere along the line it turned into chrissy being steve and eddie's surrogate and the three of them coparenting (a big win for steve "breeding kink" harrington), because at this stage in their relationship, they're pretty secure in knowing that chrissy is their life partner. they're not Together together, but they know she's not going anywhere.
i think that for them to get to this point, something would've had to happen between chrissy and someone outside of their relationship. someone she's had frequent collabs on onlyfans with, who maybe wanted something more and called her a hypocrite when she said she wasn't looking for anything serious, because of steve and eddie, and wouldn't listen when she insisted that it was different with them.
she tells the boys this and it turns into her coming with sobs of "i'm yours" as she rides steve while eddie fucks him. taylor mentioned they dp her and i said that that would be the moment it kind of clicks for them that this is how they were always meant to be.
and it gave me thoughts about possibly arospec chrissy. she loves her boys with her entire being, but she knows it's not romantic love. like eddie says, it feels deeper than that. to call it "romantic" almost feels like it cheapens their relationship (she knows it doesn't, she knows that eddie and steve's romantic feelings for each other are real and just as important). she's not sure if she's ever felt romantic love for anyone.
and that's all we have for now, outside of the smut alkgjldkfgj. none of them actually care about who the kid belongs to. they've got chrissy's light hair and dark eyes.

I really love all your Vincent analysis, I get very excited whenever you post them. I was wondering something, Grimoire has always seemed a very distant figure in canon, (yet he affects so much) and it is very likely that his and Vincent's relationship wasn't the best. But I am curious as to what you think his reaction to the experiments Hojo and Lucretia put him through would be if he was informed? Especially given that Grimoire knew Lu well. (I know this is completely non-canon)
Believe it or not, way back in 2011 I posted a hastily-drawn Ask Vincent Valentine entry that addresses exactly this! It's been a really long time, and my opinion there hasn't really changed, but I'm more than happy to expand on the concept in more detail now.
We don't actually have a lot of information on Grimoire as a character, and even less on his relationship with Vincent, so most of my opinion here is definitely headcanon, and I'll be tagging this post accordingly. That said, we do know a few things, and establishing the details of their relationship as I understand it is pretty integral to my opinion of how Grimoire would handle Vincent's inclusion in Lucrecia's terrifying thesis project.
First, Grimoire and Vincent seem to have had some kind of falling out in the past. Although it's impossible to say what caused it or how recent this was, it's fairly clear based on Grimoire's last words being a request for Lucrecia to apologize to Vincent on his behalf, and Vincent being unaware of the circumstances of his father's death until finding his file open on Lucrecia's computer. (I've seen it argued that Vincent may not even have been aware that his father was dead until that point—I don't generally subscribe to that idea, but this may actually be the case.)
Secondly, although this is more up for interpretation, Vincent's feeling toward his father appear to be somewhat...harsh? I reach this conclusion based on the word he uses to refer to him in the original Japanese, which is 親父 (oyaji). While this is a term for "father," it's also colloquially used as equivalent to "old man," and is kind of a catch-all term for middle-aged men in general. It's pretty rough in comparison to other terms that could have been used here, and also seems fairly out of place for how Vincent speaks otherwise, making it seem to me that he uses this harsher term in order to indicate either a lack of formality or a lack of respect for his father.
In headcanon territory, my take on their relationship has always been that Grimoire is extremely disappointed in Vincent for failing to pursue a career in academia, opting instead for the Turks—a role in which he excelled to such a degree that the Turk Vincent sim battle in Dirge PlayOnline indicates the assessment and training records he set were still standing when the Crisis took place. We know that Vincent is intelligent and highly educated (there is a complex series of interconnected equations scrawled on the wall of the Shinra Manor basement in Rebirth that was canonically written by Vincent, he's obviously very smart), so he could certainly have pursued the same career path as his father, and for whatever reason he chose not to.
One thing that isn't up in the air is whether or not Grimoire loved his son. Vincent was the last thing on his mind, as Chaos ate away at his body and ripped him apart into pyreflies, the last thing that mattered was that Vincent know he was sorry. Grimoire loved Vincent, even if they didn't always get along.
But Grimoire was, unfortunately, a Shinra scientist. According to Dirge PlayOnline, Grimoire was the first Shinra scientist to theorize about using foreign energies and excavated materials in the creation of an otherwise human child, with the goal of creating a hybrid able to communicate with humankind with ease. Grimoire loved his son, but he was comfortable with the idea of turning someone else's into a monster in utero if it meant that science could progress. This hypothesis is probably one of the leading reasons that Lucrecia volunteered for her role in Project S; she loved her mentor very much, and what better way to honor his memory than to prove at least one part of his theory right?
At the end of the day, it's the expansion of human knowledge that mattered to Grimoire. He would have been thrilled to know that he was right—proven with Sephiroth, with Vincent, and eventually with Nero. The three of them exist, even if only in part, because of Grimoire's thirst to understand the world beyond humanity, and all three of them changed the face of scientific progress. Sephiroth and Vincent's projects both helped to facilitate the creation of SOLDIER, while Nero literally proved the existence of a secondary plane of reality which had only ever been considered theoretical—if not simply written off as a myth—prior to his birth. That's amazing. That's wonderful.
The only problem Grimoire would have with any of it is that it was his child in the tank. Also unfortunate is that the other two were technically his grandchildren—Nero is pretty much undeniably made from genetic material harvested from Vincent, and my headcanon for why Vincent was assigned to Nibelheim at all is that Gast also wanted some way to honor the memory of the late Professor Grimoire Valentine, and selected Vincent to be the "sire" to the main subject of Project S. Vincent was never meant to know, and Lucrecia was never meant to care. It did not work out that way.
Grimoire would initially be horrified to realize what Lucrecia had done—and then fall right into complete understanding, because she did it to her own child too. She experimented on Vincent, yes, but it was in an attempt to save him! Who could blame her for using what she learned in her thesis? Two birds with one stone, salvation and enlightenment both from a single questionable act. He might disagree with her methods, with her disorganization and her lack of foresight, but he couldn't blame her.
He'd be devastated to know how his theories had ruined his child in every possible respect—but only because it was his child, not because of what was actually done. He'd grieve the loss of those grandchildren that neither he nor Vincent ever had a chance to know—but only because they were Vincent's children, torn away before he ever got to know they existed at all.
And, deep down, Grimoire would feel the slightest swell of pride that the only subjects that worked, the only ones that survived and excelled, the few that could literally call themselves gods even if only for a short period of time, were part of his bloodline.
It turns out that Valentines are amazing at anything they do, whether they choose to do anything or not. Vincent rejected science, and science took him anyway, because science is what Valentines do. It's what all of them do, and they do it better than anyone. How could he not be proud of that?

fanfiction is worth way more than you might think it is. here's why.
something i don't think anybody ever talks or thinks about is how fanfic helps writers develop incredibly useful skills and tools in the same way that prompts, worksheets, and studying literature does. (i actually think it's much more accessible than many of those types of supposedly helpful methods to build good writing skills. fanfiction makes the possibilities limitless while building upon media that people love and really connect with. you can find whatever you want if you use the right tags in AO3.) to illustrate exactly what i mean, i present these points:
*NOTE: if you're not familiar with fanfic terms, i'll define them as i go! i'm also an AO3 user, so i'll be using that as a basis for a lot of my thoughts.
it’s a really helpful way to get a grasp of how to keep characters consistent in a piece, since you have to work with characters that already have established personalities, backstories, habits, and character traits that carry over from their source material. this can get a bit tricky when writing AUs (alternate universes) or canon divergences (hopefully self-explanatory) in particular, but if you acknowledge that characters are OOC (out of character), this can solve that issue pretty quickly and as long as you make everything make sense within context, you're golden. not only that, but you can fix any flaws that you perceive in a character by adding in your own headcanons (personal ideas/beliefs about a character) or by creating realistic traits in that character that don't exist in canon but make sense for the character. this also works for expanding upon canon traits that are never explored to their full potential in canon.
a great example of this would be tony stark in the MCU. a lot of fanfic interpretations of his character put a stronger focus on his anxiety and PTSD, since the movies hint at those traits existing, but don't do them a lot of justice. another good example that's a bit more broadly applicable is LGBT+ or neurodivergent headcanons. if you really identify or kin with a character and feel that they have a certain orientation, gender identity, or mental disorder/condition, you can make it happen! this often has the great side effect of opening up a lot of possibilities for writing those traits into that character and how they affect the world and other characters around them differently than in canon.
you can think of an almost infinite amount of different scenarios to put characters and story events in. i mentioned AUs and canon divergences above, but there are also fanfic tropes like everybody lives/nobody dies, kidfic, time loop/time travel, role swap, missing scene, and even omegaverse (i'm not explaining that one to you, you're on your own pal) that offer different possibilities for putting characters and story events in all sorts of circumstances and contexts that differ from canon. (continuity soups are one of my very favorite examples of this technique. in a continuity soup, an author working with a franchise that has multiple different continuities can cherry-pick aspects of each continuity they like and smash them all together into a single world. this technique works especially well with transformers, which has, at this point, almost a dozen different continuities that are in fact all canon at the exact same time.) a writer doing this learns how to translate certain necessary story events into a completely different world, or can come up with a whole new world, storyline, or context on their own to play with plot, conflict, characters, and story events.
there are a near-limitless number of AUs out there, and every AU that is widely used comes with its own set of tropes. tropes are another useful tool for writers, because they can either be cliche or they can actually be very helpful for building a compelling plot or for introducing characters in a certain way. there are even fanfic genre tropes that exist, like hurt/comfort, fluff, whump/angst, slow burn, enemies to lovers, dead dove do not eat, crackfic... the list goes on!
writers who have difficulty writing things like romance, intimacy, emotional turmoil, injuries, sci-fi, or magic can easily learn a lot from how different fic writers write those topics (and many others). there are tons of fics that focus a lot on one specific genre and whose authors have developed a really great understanding of how to write those genres. not only can you learn a lot in terms of how to write genre, but you can also learn to develop your own writing style. this is one of the reasons why i think fanfiction is a lot more accessible than traditional books and classics. sure, you could read danielle steel novels or fifty shades of grey (which is itself fanfiction!!) or 1984 by orson welles, but unless you're really invested in the worlds being created, you'll find it harder to appreciate the prose. and, a lot of fic writers are not professional writers, so they don't even care about prose! (this is a broad generalization, and i mean "prose" in a more academic sense because i am literally studying rhetoric and prose for my bachelor's degree. not a lot of fic authors are breaking down writing styles for dialogue, diction, or sentence structure. they just write what they love writing and often develop their own styles out of that, which is also just as valid.)
i myself have definitely not been reading as many books in recent years as i've read fanfics. i go through fanfics like wildfire through a dry field. finding fic authors i love reading has really helped me improve my writing style! not only that, but i feel confident to try writing real romances with kissing scenes, to use actual scientific language to describe in-text phenomena, to describe magical objects and worlds with more clarity, and even to try my hand at writing smut. i've learned to break out of my comfort zone thanks to fanfiction, and it's helped me become a much better writer.
developing a writing style through reading other authors' work is much like developing an art style. any artist knows that you're encouraged to create your own style by mashing together traits from other artists' styles you really love and making them into something that's wholly your own. writing works the exact same way. one of my professors last semester had us do an "apprenticeship" with a short story collection written by a certain author to open us up to styles we like and don't like. she said that's how you create your own style, by figuring out what you like and what you don't like. i've been doing this with fic authors for years, and let me tell you, there are some real literary geniuses out there.
fanfiction helps writers learn to accept criticism as well as suggestions for what to write next. one of the hardest parts of being a writer is having someone read your work and tell you there's something wrong with it. your peers do it, your professors do it, editors do it, publishers do it. i've had the great privilege of participating in multiple writing workshops as part of my university education, but it can be really, really hard to find or create writing workshops outside of an academic setting. sites like AO3 cut out the middleman and bring authors right to their audiences. anyone can leave kudos on a fic if they liked it, and anyone can comment on a fic and chat directly with an author. i know for a fact that most authors regularly check and read the comments sections on their fics for feedback, criticism, and requests for what to write next. you can't necessarily do that with big-time authors like stephen king; you’d have to send a letter that may never be read.
the closest thing this system of interaction comes to is voice actors hopping on twitch streams and taking requests from viewers to say all kinds of things in-character. (this actually has the added benefit of inspiring new and interesting fic ideas.) the community on AO3 is genuinely one of the most accepting and welcoming internet spaces i've ever existed in, with possibly the exception of tumblr. fic authors really value feedback, and they love when people leave comments. sometimes they write fic just for themselves, but sometimes they do it for their audiences too! there's a really deep appreciation for source material and fanon (fan canon) alike in the world of fanfiction, and a lot of that is fostered in the author-audience connection. this is invaluable as a beginning writer, because it can help establish criticism as a valuable tool and not something to fear.
it can be scary when you put so much love into something and people don't like it. but fic readers are some of the most encouraging, wonderful people ever. you can trust them to offer valuable feedback and actually constructive criticism.
in short, fanfiction is a bit like placing a kid into a sandbox that only has a select few toys in it and letting them play however they want. so much creativity can come out of working within certain restraints, and it can really help you develop a lot of skill you might not develop otherwise. more aspiring writers should write—or at least read—fanfiction so they can reap some of these benefits. i wish it were more widely discussed in universities, at the very least, because there is so much to learn from fanfiction.
and if you really think fanfiction is only for gross internet weirdos, i remind you of fifty shades of grey being fanfic of twilight, or that city of bones, the first mortal instruments book, was originally a ginny/draco fanfic. i don't even need to mention the sheer number of more recently published romcom books that are based off of reylo from the star wars sequels. plus, if you really think about it, most modern shakespeare adaptations and homages (10 things i hate about you, leo dicaprio's romeo and juliet, the lion king) are fanfiction! there's no shame in making media of what you love. there's no shame in loving anything in the first place. do what makes you happy, and chances are you'll learn something along the way.

Was thinking of sapphic Lotura again the other night and ran into the question: would fem!Lotor be butch? [ramble below]
This section is partially inspired by a headcanon [or maybe it was a theory; I can't remember] post I saw on tumblr [which I tried to find to link here but I could not] because canon doesn't give us much to work with when it comes to civillian Galran culture. Gist of the post was sexual dimorphism in Galra and links to gender. So traits like being larger and/or more colorful are perceived as feminine [ex. Zethrid, Kolivan] and being smaller with fewer colors is perceived as masculine [ex. Lotor]. The original post has more detail and expands on how fem-/masc- ulinity tie into Galran society, but back to the point. Assuming fem!Lotor looks the same as canon!Lotor, viewed through this hc/theory, she would be perceived as masc. However, just because someone has fem/masc features doesn't mean they identify with that or want to dress in a way that "matches." So we are back to square one.
There was a drawing made by one of the people who worked on the show that featured the paladins, blade of marmora, and sincline squad at a restaurant[?] in winter. [I could probably look this up and find it to put here but I am lazy]. Lotor is walking in, wearing a beanie and puffy coat. Very typical winter clothes in typical winter colors. Not much to work with here. Next.
For this part, I know I have the pic already on my computer so I'll insert it here:
Tumblr media
The mix of greys canon!L wears don't seem to be gendered. Whether dress or tunic/overcoat/leggings combo, there's an even mix of dark and light grey. None of the Galra here wear orange or blue, so can't really do anything with that. Lotor's waist cape does resemble what some of the male Galra are wearing, particularly the ones behind Blaytz on the stairs, but those are an over layer being bound by a belt. Similar shape, different construction. Don't really have anything else to go off of though so I will give 0.5 point to team masc.
In terms of actions, I will not lie to you dear reader, it's been a while since I watched the latter half of the show so my memory is fuzzy. Maybe there is some big thing I missed. I wouldn't know; I missed it. Anyways. Ik it's a bit of a stereotype but Lotor designs and builds things. Would it be so far fetched for Ladytor to be a diy/builder wife? With all her little projects? She says she's gonna renovate the space porch but gets distracted and designs a house for the cat and builds a robot.
I feel like I'm reaching the part where I'm grasping at straws. Clothing analysis can only do so much because Lotor wears ONE OUTFIT FOR HIS ENTIRE ADULT LIFE. Not even death can separate him from that damn armor. But does it matter? Do I need canon approval to draw fem!Lotor in dapper fits?
Deleted a little bit because I started to lose the plot. I guess the conclusion is: data inconclusive. Requires further discussion.
As always, hope this was legible enough. I fixed some spelling errors but that's about it. I'm not going through this again to clean up sentence structure.
+ can't remember how many total rambles i have. not sure if it is time for a ramble tag. i don't think anyone reads them enough to warrant one but idk.

you don’t have to answer this if its too discoursey but i’m too afraid to say it off anon cause I don’t wanna get yelled at, but I am not the biggest fan of emperor/king Callum fics, mainly since it feels out of character for me (since he feels more connected to magic than he does royalty as a whole, he’s only the crown prince because he & Ez don’t have any family left to take up that role)
and also because to me, as a black person, it feels really weird that it just sidelines Ezran, they always just kill him off for no reason except to put the white person in a position of power
Its okay as a concept, i suppose, say Ezran feels like he can’t bear the responsibility at his age, so Callum takes up the mantle, but it just feels Weird to me, and maybe I’m reaching but it does feel like there’s a hint of racism going on even if its not exactly the author’s intention
So back in like 2020 in the months following S3, Regent Amaya became a popular headcanon in the Janaya corner of the fandom (because they wanted to have to interact Politically with Janai rather than just personally? I don't know) and it never sat right with me for similar reasons. (Cue people complaining in S4 that Janay's plotline was more Janai centric than Amaya centric. Mmhm.)
Because here's the thing (and I've said this before) while Callum is not white (he is mixed, he's half Asian and half white) he is lighter skinned than his brother and I do understand why people think he's white at first glance (more discussion/perspectives on Callum's race in this tag) and Ezran very clearly is not, and it's also very clear how that can affect them sometimes fandom wise. Of the five like main Main characters (although that list is 100% expanding in S4), Ezran is one of two main characters of colour (bonus core protagonist points alongside his brother) and he is the only darker skinned character of colour, comparatively in the trio.
There are other reasons I think as well about why Ezran doesn't have as much fandom made about him (he's the youngest in the cast, most of the fandom is older; he's not part of a main ship, etc) but race absolutely affects a lot of the critique he (and Harrow) get as kings. I have seen people with their full chest go "I hate TDP's monarchy, they're such bad kings Viren was right" because their issue isn't at its core the monarchy, it's that their white fave's bloodline wasn't the one on the throne for once.
Also talking about race is never discoursey IMO so always feel free to drop stuff in my inbox about it. (I'll happily take getting yelled at for it, it's way easier to bear as a white person & it doesn't happen as often as a result.)
Since 2016, we've seen this mini trend of casts having one Black character, usually a boy who's a best friend of the protagonist, get routinely sidelined. Lucas had to carry Stranger Things on his back (although I think it's gotten better? Idk for sure I stopped watching the show after s2 for unrelated reasons), Finn from Star Wars deserved so much better (and I left the SW fandom bc the racism was so bad and he was my favourite after just six months), Bow from She-Ra got virtually nothing, and Gus from The Owl House actually did.
TDP, thankfully, does not fall into that trend (having more than like 1-2 Black characters in general also helps a great deal, JC) and I now no longer watch every season like a hawk to ensure that it won't, because I trust that it won't.
So. King Callum AUs. The first thing is that you're right, Callum isn't that interested in politics. While he has a mind for politics (he immediately realizes what the egg could mean globally) he's not motivated by them. In 1x06 he gets pissed & fed up because Rayla insists on giving him only the political reasonings for why she's travelling with them and not stealing the egg, and it's not enough (he wants the personal reasons). His Tales of Xadia bio reaffirms this, stating outright that he's "beholden to [his] inner circle, not some silly kingdom" in spite of being Crown Prince. I think in some ways if Callum was left alone as King, regent Amaya would be more likely, not less, even if Callum might resist out of a grief fuelled desperate "I have to do this" at first. Being King is genuinely liberating for Ezran in ways it'll just never be for his brother, thematically / personality wise
And Callum being king because Ezran died is, IMO, unnecessary and actually more restrictive for both of their characters. If you want Callum grieving but away from the throne off adventuring with Rayla in an angsty AU, you can just have him think Ez is dead and achieve the same aims. If you want Callum on the throne, you can just have him do it out of love/loyalty for his baby brother. Otherwise, Ezran actually being dead leaves Callum solely grieving and stranded away from magic (his true calling, or the temptation of dark magic). But if Callum becomes regent to try and shield his baby brother, it leaves a lot more for them to grow, disagree on and develop, etc. Just a lot more avenues. How I think this would go (honouring Ezran's role to play and how I think their dynamic would realistically develop with this addition) here.
Being aware of what does or doesn't displace a character can be tricky, but I always think of it in regards to "do you take something another character has earned and give it to another character with little consequence," killing a character off when it wouldn't change that much to keep them alive and just tweak other things (like the above), or "are you taking the challenge one character has set before them and giving it unequivocally to another".
For example I've thought about "is my theory of Callum sacrificing/handing over the Key of Aaravos for Rayla's life displacing him" but it's not, in my eyes, bc 1) all the repercussions that come from that action is still something he has to deal with, 2) he'd have a vested interest and arc in reclaiming the cube, 3) it highlights the tragedy of Callum regaining his agency from brainwashing and still being forced into Aaravos' tragedy, 4) still leaves Callum perfectly free and motivated to uncover the secrets of the key himself beforehand, it just won't end well for him. And if Callum was having big conflicts with Ezran RN, I'd probably swap in Ez as a possibility for who he'd hand the key over for too
Last but not least I do wonder if Callum will even remain his brother's High Mage. The symbolism of a brother on either side of the Border has always felt fitting to me, and I think Claudia would make a great high mage to Ez if/when she gets redeemed / she'll want to stick close to her brother. Now that Callum has Ibis' staff, I wonder if that'll also eventually include having Ibis' post, especially now that Soren has stepped up in S4 to really be Ez's protector (and Cal and Ez would still write letters all the time, of course <3 Ez checking in on him through his link with Zym).
But yeah I think if Callum did continue to be in a political role beyond high mage, he'd be best suited to be one of Ezran's top generals, and that would take its own interesting toll on Ezran's psyche
Anyway this is probs longer than you were expecting but thank you for sharing your perspective! It's something I think the bulk of the fandom has noticed and it's always good to look at areas of like, perhaps more casual than outright racism when it comes to characters of colour, and how we have a responsiblity to examine those areas when exploring things, even just in fanon

i'm so glad my comment had such an effect on you!!! i wasn't joking when i said i wanted to have the time to really enjoy your story and subsequently write a comment haha
very happy that i was able to finally give you inspo to tackle a lemon-centered fic because i couldn't think of a better person to do it! you genuinely love her and i can see that through your posts and our interactions and it comes across in your story. she's not a one-dimensional caricature (which she sadly is in canon) and we see that throughout
Question-wise, I was hoping you could expand on the potential that Kaldo saw in Lemon? For me (like you wrote in "life goes on") it's Lemon's incredible courage and selflessness that she exhibited in protecting Mash. Do you have any ideas of how Kaldo would approach her training? I have a couple of ideas regarding Lemon's levelled up magic, the main one being she can summon Artemis, goddess of wild animals and nature, but don't know how she gets there lol
Something else that piqued my interest in your reply is Lemon changing society's views on magical creatures. It made so much sense to me in a society that is so quick to judge and mistreat humans, it would be just as harsh or harsher with animals. so Lemon's kindness and respect towards them would be very much welcome and she would absolutely change minds, even when tutoring younger students at Easton Academy!
i can't stress enough how i loved every part of the story and your wonderful reply to my comment has inspired me to start writing another lemon post!!! this one will be more focused on lemon feeling stuck in place despite her best efforts which leads to her seeking out Finn and then Kaldo! we've already discussed this a bit so i don't think it will be as creative as my lemon case study but i still hope you'll enjoy it!
And if you have any Lemon posts/ideas feel free to send me an ask or tag or mention me, thank you!
Thank you so so much again for your comment! I'm really happy to meet a Lemon fan who genuinely loves her and wants to develop her more than what she has in canon! Discussing about Lemon with you is always a great time! For the answers related to the fic, I'll put them under read more.
I don't really have a concrete idea as to how Kaldo would train Lemon. The only training that we got a full display of is Mash's training, most of Lance, Dot, and Finn's training happened off-screen, so it's hard to make a reference from them either. However, I do have some vague ideas of Kaldo telling Lemon to do completely unrelated tasks just like Finn did. Cutting salmon and buying honey from the market, stuff like that. After that, I think Kaldo would focus on testing Lemon's determination and how far would she go for the sake of people she holds dear.
I don't think Kaldo is as proficient as Agito in terms of magical creatures, so unfortunately he can only teach the basics and what he knows. This is possibly a hurdle for Lemon to overcome, and a decision she has to make when she knows about Agito.
Alternatively, I headcanon Rayne as generally being an animal lover, though he vastly prefers rabbits compared to the others. If Agito cannot teach her, maybe Rayne can help her however he knows, in terms of animals in general.
So I'm really just tossing a lot of vague ideas here because I genuinely don't know how Lemon's training would go, especially when Finn's training--which I planned to use as a reference--was also mostly kept off-screen. That's why I ended the "Life Goes On" fic at that point because beyond that I can't really imagine how things go. Yes, I agree with you that by the end of the training, she'd probably be powerful enough to summon a god, but reaching that point will possibly take forever--much longer than her friends--considering all the circumstances. Studying under Agito might make her improve faster but I can't imagine them getting along at all lol.
That's right! I can imagine in a world where the strength of magic is a measurement of one's worth, animals and magical creatures would be regularly mistreated as well, even though it's never mentioned in the manga. So, I think Lemon would contribute a lot to society if she decided to focus on that! Maybe she'll be a teacher in Easton...? Or maybe working in the Bureau of Magic? I'm leaning more toward the latter because it's a more stable job and seemingly well-paid as well, but doesn't close the possibility that she might teach when everything is settled!
I'm looking forward to the next Lemon post that you plan on writing, whenever that is! Please take your time in writing it, I'm sure I'll enjoy reading and exchanging ideas with you!
I'll be sure to let you know if I find anything Lemon-related that you might like! Likewise, feel free to tag me or send me an ask if you want to talk about her anytime!
Hope you have an amazing day, and take care of yourself <3

OMGGGGGG I'm so excited for birdie to be in sfvi and shed some of the fatphobic tropes baked into his sfv characterization while STILL keeping him fat and sexy. Also my personal headcanon for why birdie gained weight regardless of what canon says is because eagle prefers fat men and he wanted to impress him and when he met eagle again, eagle was MORE than impressed (he entered a relationship with him afterwards)
Like come on birdie and eagle sound like a kinky gay leather couple, of COURSE birdie would willingly gain weight for him
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Capcom put Birdie in this unlockable art for luke just to taunt me.
But yeah I also can't wait for Birdie to come. There's 3 details in the game that allude to him (to the point where it feels very suspicious) and it would just be nice to see. :') There's so much fatphobia built into his characterization in 5 and i rlly hope they dial it back; especially since, they laid foundations in 5 that can be built upon in 6.
And it's funny cus there's 3 characters I can think of that also had foundations in 5 that were expanded upon in 6: Luke, Blanka and Rashid.
Idk much about Luke but it seems he's carrying Guile's legacy (seeing as it's implied that Guile trained him ((correct me if i'm wrong))). With Rashid. He was basically the Ryu of SF5 and the main character and now in 6, while the stakes aren't as high he still seems to be a modern foil to Ryu; seeking out strong fighters to better himself (and live-streaming on the side. youtube/twitch king). And with Blanka—the blanka-chan dolls that were once a scam, have become so popular to the point blanka uses their likeness to push his jungle guide side-hustle to help his momma.
I talk about it in the tags of this post, but Birdie has the same thing going on; where he spent SF5 running from Shadaloo and eventually finding refuge under the kanzuki estate. But at the end of 5 he ditches Karin and goes off on his own—giving SF6 the perfect opportunity to build off of that in a meaningful way.
When If they plan on adding Birdie in I hope to god they actually do sumn. Luckily, based on the art at the top they do intend on keeping him fat (thank god), so stonks are looking good!
Also, I love your headcanon for Birdie's weight gain! I'll take ANYTHING over the actual reason we got...

Heeeey why don't you accept requests :( Writing request and suggestions are the same?? Theres no different imo
might count as a 'vent' for some people so just in case i'll put it under the cut!
cw: vent(-ish, though tbh all of this is /gen and /nm)
in summary: because i write for myself.
and to answer your question - no, they're not the same, from my point of view.
for example, this is what i'm doing currently if you've noticed: you might send me idea A. i might or might not agree with idea A and just leave it at that. i might get inspired from idea A and expand more upon it. i might get inspired from idea A and write another idea that isn't exactly related to idea A - maybe B, Z, or even 123. i might not get any inspiration from idea A, reply with a 'this is good i like this', and then come back the next day to refer back to idea A because suddenly my tiny writer brain manages to expand upon idea A.
this means that i have full creative freedom over what i write, and i'm not constrained to a specific bubble (prompt & time). that's why i said i won't write requests but i do take suggestions. i need people to know that there's no guarantee that what you're sending in will get a full fic or drabble or scenario or headcanon or whatever it is that you wanted to see. because ultimately i am writing for my own satisfaction.
compare that to a typical writing request blog. you send a writer idea A. if the writer is comfortable and inspired to write idea A, then they write idea A. otherwise, it sits on their draft for days, months, even years. alternatively, it gets deleted - either immediately or after some time has passed. in that case, sometimes the writer feels guilty, other times they don't, but trust me when i say the former doesn't feel good. in any case, maybe they post an announcement of cleaning their ask box, and some are unfortunate enough to receive hate saying that they're "inconsiderate" and "can't write for shit"- look, it sucks, okay. i've been there. therefore, i will confidently say this:
this blog is not and will never be a writing request blog.
i've abandoned so many of those in the past because i am tired of writing for people and not getting any feedback whatsoever compared to the effort i put on it, and dealing with the stress of having unfinished requests laying around was horrible.
at least, in this blog, i get to write what i want, when i feel like it. i don't feel like i owe anyone anything. and when a post flops, then it flops - it's sad but in the end who cares because i had a blast writing it. and if a post gets 7492849283 notes, then it puts a smile on my face, brightens my day, and i move on with my day with a little pep in my step. in the end, i still get to make fellow writer friends and kind reader friends. and while i still appreciate my followers, all the lovely tags, comments, and kind replies, and although i will occasionally crave for interactions, in the end i'll always remember that i'm doing this for my self-enjoyment.
and i think that's enough for me.
so yeah, if you're here expecting me to write your request, i'd suggest you to go to other blogs (but make sure to read their rules first before requesting!!). there are a lot of talented writers out there that writes for genshin. i'm sure one of them would be more than willing to write the content you want to consume. just please, if they do write your request, go and support them. give them a like and at a minimum a reblog. maybe even add a little comment. unlike me, you owe them that at least, since they wrote it for you.
am i saying that other writing blogs are 'doing it wrong'? definitely not, everyone has their own motivations for writing and running a blog.
does that mean i don't appreciate the reblogs and comments and asks sent to me? no, your validations are still very much appreciated and your comments puts a smile on my face.
am i selfish? yeah, probably.
fingers crossed i managed to convey what i wanted to say properly and didn't offend anyone with this slkdjfslkdjf

Do you have any ashen or pale headcannons about Chahut? I really like the clown lady
(sorry hiveswap tag </3 i don't often spam like this i just have a lot of asks rn)
I have headcanons for and about literally every hsw character lol. I am insane.... BUT.... i am free*.
Ashen:
Chahut is, first of all, a top... leaf. (Side note: I love the idea that alternia has top/bottom memes that are indistinguishable from the earth memes and just as reductionist, but those terms are used exclusively for ashen romance.) She doesn't really like people meddling in her affairs and generally won't allow anyone to get between her and another motherfucker.
But boy does she love to meddle, and then pretend she's all mature about it. The thing is, Chahut sees herself (and I'm sure she's right, I just haven't explored this hc yet) as somewhat of a faith leader. She teaches the children and she's leading the congregation and sometimes she will sit on the other side of the clownfessional and listen / give advice.
She's not easily swayed by like. This style of ashen emotional bids:
😡⚔️🤬->🥺⚔️😳->😡⚔️🤬
Does that make any sense?? Lol, like she doesn't really like feeling like people are playing up their ashen feelings for her ashen attention; Chahut finds that style of ashen romance very immature and a bit young for her. She wants it to be real; her ashen quadmates have to have no idea how dangerous their relationship is.
In both conciliatory romances, she is a bit more relaxed and behind the scenes. She's never going to get worked up by the emotions of her quadmates, but she's pretty quick at giving a perspective check and, specific to ashen, telling her quadmates to grow tf up. She does tend to use her religion as a coping mechanism, and it's kind of up to her quadmates (assuming they also aren't clowns / devout) to steer her away from that path. Gently. Maybe with some baked goods; Chahut does love her special brownies. Give her some rainbow sprinkles on there and she's pretty unembarrassed about her enthusiasm.
Pale:
Chahut likes people who are very emotional in general; Chahut doesn't feel things very deeply anymore (is what she tells herself). I know that is also my Marvus headcanon, but unlike Marvus, I think Chahut has a more balanced view on negative emotions (allowing her partner to wallow for a bit instead of immediately trying to distract them) and is maybe a little turned off by people who cry easily (they remind her too much of the children at church). I also think that, unlike Marvus, she can get easily drained by people who are too feisty or who like getting into the wrong kinds of trouble (we're talking explosions and gunfire; Chahut does like excitement, but it can't put her or her church's reputation at stake).
She likes people who can challenge her, and she especially likes when her red romance partners aren't afraid of her. Part of being devout means knowing how to answer everyone who questions her religion; as long as you’re extremely respectful, she enjoys the deep dive into her own beliefs. Also, she likes someone who isn’t scared of her for once.
She also likes people who can sit back and enjoy the small miracles that exist in the every day. As she gets older, she’s learned to appreciate what she has because what she has coming sucks so bad. Someone with a new perspective can really get their hooks into her, and she's especially drawn towards fellow artists. I think it's fair to say a majority of clowns are.
(Last two points from this post, but expanded on, just in case they look familiar)
...After typing this all out and rereading your ask, I am pretty sure you meant like, fluff style headcanons and not the broad strokes I just painted. Oops lmao. Give me a few hours (I have some errands to run and I woke up late) and I'll write a more fluffy post for you <3

Writing for: My Hero Academia + Attack on Titan + Naruto + Fairy Tail
Headcanons & Drabbles for: Jujutsu Kaisen + Haikyuu
Last updated; 06/7/2021

I. It is my choice on the content I write, I'll write anything from sfw to nsfw to dark content depending on my mood. If you don't wish to see certain things on this blog, block the tags or don't follow me.
II. If you are not 18 or older, get the fuck off my lawn before I beat you with a cane. Do not interact with me OR my work on this blog. If you really wanna read my stuff you can access my SFW account (will add when the link works) where I'll also be posting my tame content. If I see you on this account I will block you and you won't have access to my side accounts so if you wanna read my stuff badly enough, is interacting here worth the risk?
III. For my own sanity, I'll be limiting my requests to 10, however there are no limits to thirsts I'll accept. I'll write thirsts and headcanons for Jujutsu Kaisen and Haikyuu however I do not accept requests for them and won't until I understand the characters and their worlds.
IV. On this account I write male anime character x reader, some day I'll expand my reach into female characters but as of now I don't write for them. Down below I've listed what I will, probably will, and won't (hard no) write. I've also listed who I will definitely and definitely won't write for. Don't see the character you want? Ask and see if I write for them! I also write character x my oc, this is purely self indulgent so if you don't wanna read that make sure you block the tags accordingly.
V. Do not under any circumstances share or repost my work on any other site, especially Wattpad and TikTok. The last thing I want is my work stolen and minors being shown the things I create. If you see something that looks like my work notify me immediately.
VI. When making requests, please state specifically if you want the reader to be female or gender neutral, what you want to happen, what prompt you'd like to be used, any specific kinks, etc. (password: jerry) Just be as detailed as possible or else it'll be left for me to interpret and do as I please. I mean, I'll do what I want with it regardless but in order for me to fulfill your request, I need details!
VII. I do not condone any drama, bigotry, or slander of any kind, please leave that shit at the door. Any and all hate anons sent to me will be deleted and ignored so don't bother trying to start shit with me. If you dislike certain content I post or reblog, feel free to block tags or even block me. That being said, if you run across something of mine that you feel needs certain tags, tell me! Sometimes I can't think of every triggering thing so it helps a lot of you point things out to me and I'd be very grateful!
VIII. Remember, I have the right to deny/ignore any requests sent to me for any reason, i.e. I'm busy, disinterested, or uncomfortable. Do not try to guilt trip me into writing something for you! I'm an adult, I work and take care of my mother who lives with me, my life outside of tumblr is more important than whose dick you wanna read about.
IX. You are certainly welcome to share tiktoks, nsfw & sfw twitter links, and hentai with me! Make sure when you send these asks that you put proper warnings and such. My pms are also always open! If I don't answer you right away please don't be discouraged!
X. Personally, I do not like ships. I dislike the toxicity of that part of fandoms and want nothing to do with it, so please do not send me ship related content.
XI. I have adhd and dyslexia, if you find mistakes in my work please be nice about it if you're gonna point it out. Nothing is more embarrassing to me than proof reading something ten times only for someone for rudely point out mistakes I missed.
XII. I have no update schedule for fics unless stated otherwise, please no not rush me! I also have a mania disorder so things will sometimes take me a long time to finish. Please know I'm doing the best I can!

rules + disclaimers
this blog is a one person run blog; one writer. i'm doing this for fun and maybe a little tip money, but it's not necessary.
some other places i am: main blog, @allmightballmight and ao3 nasabasa
i write but am not limited to: drabbles and headcanons.
stories are set in a "x reader", second person, sometimes first person. no character x character, but poly is allowed (i.e. character x reader x character.) i write from a female perspective by default. i kinda suck at putting myself in different shoes.
i have no fucking idea what is going on in union x i am begging you to have mercy i have no fucking clue i know luxu and MoM and that is it.
please give me more than just "____ x reader angst" or "_____ smut". give me a little something to work off of. i'll have a post of helping prompts to help with requests.
i'm happy to attempt to write for any character in the KH series but i'm pretty dusty on Final Fantasy characters. i am not great with larxene, terra, and the girls for no good reason, but i will do my best if you request those characters. basically i’m warning you they may be a little occ. my forte is definitly original org. xiii and real org. xiii if you were curious.
i will not write pedophilia (minor x adult), non-consensual advances, blood play, incest, abusive advances, or the likes. stories posted onto tumblr are harder to sort through than, say, AO3. somethings i'm uncomfortable with writing, somethings i know most people will be uncomfortable with.
i write on AO3 and most intense/sensitive topic stories i might write in my own free time go onto there, because you can filter out something triggering like self harm, but that’s a little harder to do on tumblr with the algorithm + tags + suggestions so. it’s safer for everyone if i only put it on ao3.
i cross post my stories onto ao3 as well! i keep them there so if someone wants to read anything they don’t have to get a tumblr account if they don’t want to/can’t :) plus bookmarks and stuff. so if you like their layout for fanfic more, i’m also over there. sometimes i rewrite stories and post them on my ao3 or expand upon them.
no friends with benefits. i'm too possessive to write that.
any characters (if there are any left, but i don't think there are?) who are minors will be aged up to 18 (xion, roxas, etc.) [they may be adults now idk]
some stories won't be perfectly canon. it's fanfic dude.
i am comfortable with writing poly or larger groups together. bi + ace are allowed as well. i can write from those perspectives well.
most stories are a mixture of "categories" like smut and fluff, but if you want something focused on/excluded from, just clarify in your request.
if you have any questions, please private message me. don't message me the request if you don't have any questions. however, if you want to clarify if something breaks the rules, then feel free to. also you can just message me as a human being if you would like.
sometimes i'm not up to date on a game. bare with me.

Hi I'd like to request a haikyuu matchup!:)
• Romantic please
• I'm nonbinary and my pronouns are they/them
• I have no gender preference
• I am an adult
• Personality: I am very much the parent friend, I am an absolute airhead, bit of a stoner, I'm the friend that if you're too shy at a restaurants I'll talk for you but if I'm with someone more confident than me like my mom or older brother I have to have them talk for me, I have no idea how to use a computer properly, I tend to downplay my talents and absolutely hate compliments because I never know how to respond, I thoroughly enjoy coming up with extremely absurd ideas and headcanons (for example: came up with the idea to have an indoor mini golf course exclusively for the lgbtq community), I don't know what I'm talking about literally ever I just word vomit and people seem to think I'm funny, I very much like my personal space and have a very low social battery so I spend a lot of time alone buy otherwise I'm pretty energetic and upbeat, definitely more of an optimist, sometimes to my detriment. I'm also a triple Leo, I'm an infp as far as I know, and I kin Yamaguchi, Nishinoya, and Bokuto
• Hobbies/interests: I have over 70 squishmallows and I collect their bio/name tags in an old ipsy bag, I do white charcoal portraits and plan on doing commissions for them once I expand my portfolio, I play animal crossing every single day usually without fail, I absolutely adore sharks, frogs, and most reptiles esp alligators and crocodiles, I love astrology and love doing people's charts and telling them my assumptions about them (after reading into their placements ofc), I like to watch true crime, paranormal, nature, and history documentaries, I also like a lot of anime specifically (outside of haikyuu) demon slayer, jjk, and jojos bizarre adventure, and I'm going to be a summer day camp counselor this summer at the camp I grew up going to
• My type: someone that's more on the responsible side so I don't have to worry about them doing something stupid, someone calmer so I don't get tired out when I'm with them for long periods of time but not so laid-back that I get bored, someone that will put up with my antics and sometimes participate, has got to be calm and grounded when I'm feeling anxious and will talk me through it rather then freaking out and asking me a ton of questions I don't have the answers to, will understand when I'm not feeling up to being social, is interested in the things I'm interested in or is willing to hear me vent about them, understands that I'm not a big fan of being touched constantly and will give me space
• Love languages: acts of service and gift giving (I give the gifts, hate receiving them)
• I absolutely do not want to be paired with kuroo, Kenma, kindaichi, shirabu, or goshiki (some I really don't like, some I'm just indifferent toward)
Thank you!
I believe you and Osamu would be a good match!
HOW YOU MET
You had only recently started being a camp counselor at the summer camp you went to growing up.  After four years, they decided they could pair you up with new counselors to help them out.
“He’s really nice,” the camp director said. “Went here for two years when he was really young, so he knows a little, but that was who knows how long ago.”
“So, I’m just helping him learn how to be a counselor?” you asked, and she nodded with a small laugh.
“Yeah,” she said, and she looked down at the clipboard in her hands. “Before you go looking for him, he’s with the nurse.  Doing a quick physical on him.  You know how long it takes.”
“Thanks,” you said as you nodded.
You started walking down to the nurse’s office since you needed a physical too and it would be quicker to wait for him to get done downstairs than talking to the other counselors.  The two flights of stairs sucked while carrying your luggage, but you didn’t want to lose it.  After taking a deep breath once you got to the bottom of the stairs, you turned to walk down the hallway that led to the nurse’s office.
The nurse’s office was at the end of the hallway, which a guy walked out of.  He was tall and his shoulders broad.  His hair was nearly black and messy, as if he had been running his fingers through it.  He was wearing khaki shorts and a black shirt with a volleyball reference on it.
“Hey,” you said, and he looked at you. “Are you Miya-san?”
He nodded with a small smile. “Yeah.  I’m Miya Osamu, but I prefer people just callin’ me Osamu.”
“L/N Y/N,” you said, and you stopped walking. “But people usually just call me L/N.”
Osamu chuckled. “It’s the struggle of havin’ a twin.  People think I’m really friendly.”
“Are you not?” you asked with a small smile.  Osamu chuckled. “Also, a twin?  I’ve never met a twin before.” You chuckled slightly. “Bet you hear that a lot.”
“You’ve got no idea,” Osamu said.  You found it easy to talk to him.  He turned his head to look over his shoulder as he pointed towards the nurse’s office with his thumb. “Do ya also need to go to the nurse?”
You nodded. “Yeah.  You can wait upstairs if you want.  It’s not going to take long.”
“I could just wait out here for you,” Osamu said before quickly adding. “If that’s alright.”
“Of course it is.” You smiled. “Just watch my stuff for me while I’m in there.”
“You got it,” Osamu said as he took your luggage from you. “Now, go on.  I wanna go check out our cabin soon.”
HEADCANONS
Osamu loves going and hunting for squishmallows and buys you all the ones he finds.  If you mention there’s one you want, he will search everywhere for it.
Osamu isn’t one for partying/socializing, especially as he gets older, but he’ll go hang out with people from high school occasionally.  When he does meet up with them, it’s typically planned ahead of time, and he will give you the choice of going or not.  He’s not going to get upset if you don’t want to go and doesn’t force you.  He makes sure you know you’re welcome to join him if you want to.
He’s the kind to set aside movie night every week.  Movie night isn’t exclusive to just movies but also television shows.  These nights are filled with whatever new thing you guys have found to watch and snacks that he brings home from work.
Osamu is the chill counselor whose cabin behaves so well that every other counselor wishes they had his kids.  He’s so nice to be paired up with that both of you request to be paired up with each other every summer you both decide to be counselors.
Whenever you talk about anything you like, he listens and remembers everything.  He buys things that remind him of you, even if it’s something you said in passing.  He has an entire section in his notes’ app with information about you; all your orders from food places you go to, favorite books/shows/movies, your astrology information, and anything you mention in passing.  He’s healthily obsessed with you.
Whenever he introduces you to someone, he has a proud smile as he says, “This is my amazin’ partner.” He loves calling you his “partner” and “significant other” (or anything that you’re comfortable with), because he’s so happy to have you in his life.
RUNNERUP: Sakusa!
