Does anyone have any tips for a teen (14) whose parents will only get him discord, with the promise of only adding people they know irl, to let him get insta??? I really want to promote my art on there, one day do commissions, and be able to film silly cosplay videos. But like, they’re the kind of people that are super nice but don’t understand that gen-z actually understands the internet and know how to use it safely. They basically think that I’m going to find 500 thirst traps and get hit on (which could happen, but HAS never happened, and I know how to handle it). And also he gets constantly told how mature he is but his parents just forget that when it comes to the internet. Please help. /srs

I love the collaborative posts here. That's one of the charms of Tumblr. It's one of the things that makes Tumblr, well, Tumblr.

If staff gets rid of reblog chains, then it'll make this place basically unusable. And it'll make this place exactly like Tiktok and YouTube, and I don't want that. I want this site to have it's own unique Identity. So please don't do this @staff. This will actually kill Tumblr.

Tumblr reblog chains are in danger.

It seems that the staff is actually going to go forward with their decision to remove reblog chains, where reblogs will basically work like regular comments on other websites.

This doesn't just make the site completely unusable, it removes the soul of the community that has managed to build up here over the years, and that I'm so happy to have recently joined.

It makes impossible the creation of great posts where many people build up a single thing, until it is a gem of expressed human creativity.

There will be no more world heritage posts, no more messing around with your mutuals, no posts worth remembering.

There will be no more Tumblr, and the Tikblr or TumbTube or whatever monstrosity is born from its corpse will soon die, as is probably the best. And then there will never be another place like this on the internet, no place anymore to run to, no more fun, no more community.

I recommend a simple course of action. When these changes get imposed upon us, stop using Tumblr. Get your mutuals' discords, your favourite artists' websites, and leave. If the Tumblr we have once known returns, we well too. If not, better let it die quickly than suffer a long and painful decline.

I beg you to reblog this, for the more people see it, the higher chanses are for this to work.

And add something, so we can show them what Tumblr is really for.

~Quick Update~

I do have a couple of big things happening this month, a funeral for Popa and an MRI. So that's why things are slower than usual, and it's the main reason as to why I'm utilizing the queue.

I've mostly been preparing for the former since February, and I still feel like I'm not ready yet. And I've been mentally preparing for the MRI since the beginning of this month.

The next chapters of my current fics (the ones I'm working on) will come out when they're ready. I can't really tell you an exact date.

I also have a couple of projects under heavy wraps, and I'll try to update those on separate posts (and I'll try to update you as soon as I can).

Like a completely normal adult person, after watching the new trolls movie, I obsessively started putting together the brothers' backstory, the deeper reasons for their separation as well as how that all took place without disregarding the fact that they were trapped in the troll tree, which of course evolved into a fic in (forever) progress... yeah

Anyway, even though they aren't actively in the story much, i needed to design the parents, so uh meet Rosiepuff's daughter, Tulip, and her husband Branch.

I designed them based on the brothers' adult looks and in Tulip's case also on her mom's.
