i've just finished the first arc and i think there's something so special about the pairs who fall off the island together and how it kind of sets the scene for those relationships for the rest of the campaign, in my mind.

#like... laika and maeri. i can't say anything about them that hasn't already been said better #it's like are they in love.. maybe #(yes)#but regardless it's laika's unwavering loyalty for her throughout her whole time in the party and then even later when she comes back #like. they held each other while they fell from the sky 🥺#it makes me crazy #but it's really fran and corbin for me #idk they are so siblingly to me #like they hate each other they are so SHUT UP CORBIN but they're everything to each other #it rips me apart every time i listen to the end of the weeping god and fran disappears and he's digging through the rubble #and it's like sure. laika left. maeri also disappeared #slake is still there. not for nothing. but they're not estran #slake is trying to tell corbin but he's just. she has to be here #he can't lose fran #fran is the only person left who has been through EVERYTHING with him #they held each other while they fell from the sky 🥺#i'm just obsessed with those two relationships in particular and them falling from estra like that makes me crazy #it's like. you can't have laika without maeri. for fran and corbin. you can't have one without the other #and i don't mean to ignore slake bits just that they're not here yet #i love slake and maeri's relationship A Lot too but it is different from the estran's relationships to each other in my mind #I LOVE LEGENDLARK #PODCAST OF ALL TIME #dames and dragons #legendlark #mine

i like how barton went from being like... a hippie in terms of how he viewed sex in his early twenties, then kind of abstained from it for a few years / became sexually repressed, which... definitely isn't such a good thing. BUT then he became even more of a freak (and i do mean that in the good way this time LOL) around the time he started residency because WOW is that shit stressful. though that was also unfortunately around the time when he really started to spiral as well 😬 but we don't need to talk about that ahahhh

like the way this man learned how to express his sexuality REALLY came full circle in the end considering he was like 'yeah, back in the early days that i was in college, i was a freak. but now i'm not anymore... though do you want to see me do it again anyway?' like 💀 JSJSJ if he weren't so demented, i'd almost be inclined to say good for him, y'all LMAO feeling comfortable with your sexuality and perhaps even having a bit of fun with it (though maybe too much in barton's case, because he literally weaponizes it in order to lure in his victims. I can't express it enough #whether you ship ryokita or not it's still a good read! like really it's well articulated and goes in depth about ryo & kita's relationship #and acknowledges how unhealthy it is but the realization of this makes the both of them understand each other more clearly without-#-seeing through rose colored glasses. I just- ughhh! I'm not good with words and I can't stress it enough so once again please read this!#you can really tell how much this artist is passionate and dedicated about the ship #not only that but how they color the cover page (and their art in general) is JUST SO CATCHING! LITERAL EYE CANDY!#and the pacing and panelling of the story is well thought out plus the equal balance of humor and angst is so entertaining & heart wrenchin #and their art style... fricking adorable and expressive and striking!! Just grrr!! I LOVE THIS ARTIST'S WORK SO MUCH!!!#I'm not that particularly crazy about ryokita but they are very interesting to explore and could have some potential if they worked out-#-their own flaws. #so i had acute tracheitis like two weeks ago #then at the follow-up visit the doctor said i was ok #so i went to malta for my vacation without worrying about the occasional cough that eventually stopped #but then at the end of the trip i suddenly had temperature 39°C #i got better and went back to poland #i got home yesterday but suddenly today my voice is gone #and i started coughing again #so i went to see the doctor at our local weekend and holidays public health clinic #and it turns out i have acute tracheitis (again)#AND i also have acute laryngitis (new)#i had a doctor's leave before my vacation and now i have a doctor's leave again krehxksjkx my boss will be upset but oh well #i'm on antibiotics again 🤧#anywayyyyyyyyy why am i sick again the doctor said i was fine the last time 😞😞😞 WELL #anyway i felt totally fine for 8 out of 10 days there so i'd say the trip was still ABSOLUTELY AMAZING #absolutely amazingggg guys i loved it so much #i'm so glad the sickness came back only at the very end when i had already seen and done almost all i planned so it was okay #it was so wonderfullll i need to show my army followers here some pictures later on because oh man are they crazy #okay rant over i'm going to go lie down #maybe watch a bit of bon voyage on malta lmao it's so fun to watch it now that i've been there myself #my post #personal

I'm reading too many transmigration/reincarnation webcomics so here are some random plot ideas:

- I got transmigrated in a shonen/adventure novel but all I want is to seduce the main character/villain/mentor/some character. With the power of this sword I stole found, I will make sure my beloved character can take a break from their quest to get lovey dovey with me

- I got reincarned into a fantasy romance novel but I'm not interested in the male lead, or the second male lead, or anyone else because I'm aroace. I'd rather worry about the upcoming war and other catastrophes that are used as plot points. Now let's go on a quest to gather cool powers to survive all that

- I got transmigrated in a fantasy world and met a handsome Duke who took me to his manor. But he's married! And his terrifying wife is stalking me! She must fear I might become her husband's mistress. How will I survive?? (Or How I became the mistress of the Duke AND the Duchess)

- My favorite character ever (who is terribly underrated!) went through a tragic arc where he had to betray the main character because of his tragic backstory. It obviously backfired on him and he got cast away from the main group and disappeared form the story. But after so many chapters without him, he finally appeared again in the latest released one! We learn that he went through many hardships and is in a tight spot, and is desperately trying to do a summoning to get help and... I just got summoned to another world by my favorite character??

- I love stories set in medieval worlds because drama between nobles is fun but now that I've been reincarnated as a prince(ss) I can't ignore my anti-monarchist believes. My goal is now to get rid of monarchy and change this medieval fantasy world into a solarpunk utopia

#Mel rambles #plot ideas #first one would be the kind where the MC uses their knowledge about the novel to become overcompetent #and makes intricate ploys to achieve their goals without hesiting to sactifice people of needed #like so many existing stories. but here. they're obsessed with a character and try desesperatly to help them and get their attention #so an absolulty unhinged MC with an unhealthy obsession #while first one is an adventure novel turned romance the second one is the opposite #third one is a disaster poly bi MC picked up by a noble couple to become their third expect there's a big misunderstanding #that the duchess refuses to clear up because she thinks it's hilarious that her flirting is mistaken for jealousy threats #she's waiting to see how long it'll take for the MC to realise what's going on #the duke is just humoring her by not explaining either #after the reveal the MC is absolutly desesperate because she IS into these stupid crazy rich people so now they're HER problem #for the last one i don't even know how it'd play out since it'd probably necessitate heavy knowledge about political theory #but it could be very cool #i'm passionate about the fourth one but the tags are long enough already so I'll ramble about it later
