I swear to god, every time I go on tumblr, you have reblogged a post that I JUST saw on Pinterest, what are you hiding, what are your secrets.
I installed malware on your computer and phone that monitors your activity on Pinterest and instantly reblogs anything that you see that is also on Tumblr
But probably what it is is that the people I follow tend to reblog already popular posts, and popular posts are a lot more likely to be reposted to other parts of the internet
#ask#anon#my coding ability definitely extends beyond basic programs like the one I use to post postsofbabel stuff and basic Minecraft datapacks#i'm an epic hacker#i am like the one punch man but for breaching cybersecurity

Weinersmith and Boulet’s “Bea Wolf”

On July 14, I'm giving the closing keynote for the fifteenth HACKERS ON PLANET EARTH, in QUEENS, NY. Happy Bastille Day! On July 20, I'm appearing in CHICAGO at Exile in Bookville.
Bea Wolf is Zach Weinersmith and Boulet's ferociously amazingly great illustrated kids' graphic novel adaptation of the Old English epic poem, which inspired Tolkien, who helped bring it to popularity after it had languished in obscurity for centuries:
https://us.macmillan.com/books/9781250776297/beawolf
Boy is this a wildly improbable artifact. Weinersmith and Boulet set themselves the task of bringing Germanic heroic saga from more than a thousand years ago to modern children, while preserving the meter and the linguistic and literary tropes of the original. And they did it!
There are some changes, of course. Grendel – the boss monster that both Beowulf and Bea Wulf must defeat – is no longer obsessed with decapitating his foes and stealing their heads. In Bea Wulf, Grendel is a monstrously grown up and boring adult who watches cable news and flosses twice per day, and when he defeats the kids whose destruction he is bent upon, he does so by turning them into boring adults, too.
And Bea Wulf – and the kings that do battle with Grendel – are not interested in the gold and jewels that the kings of Beowulf hoard. In Bea Wulf, the treasure is toys, chocolate, soda, candy, food without fiber, television shows without redeeming educational content, water balloons, nerf swords and spears, and other stuff beloved of kids and hated by parents.
That substitution is key to transposing the thousand-year-old adult epic Beowulf for enjoyment by small children in the 21st century. After all, what makes Beowulf so epic is the sense that it is set in a time in which a primal valor still reigned, but it is narrated for an audience that has been tamed and domesticated. Beowulf makes you long for a never-was time of fierce and unwavering bravery. Bea Wulf beautifully conjures the years of early childhood when you and the kids in your group had your own little sealed-off world, which grownups could barely perceive and never understand.
Growing up, after all, is a process of repeating things that are brave the first time you do them, over and over again, until they become banal. That's what "coming of age" really boils down to: the slow and relentless transformation of the mythic, the epic, and the unknowable and unknown into the tame, the explained, the mastered. When you're just mastering balance and coordination, the playground climber is a challenge out of legend. A couple years later, it's just something you climb.
The correspondences between the leeching away of magic lamented in Beowulf and experienced by all of us as we grow out of childhood are obvious in hindsight and surprising and beautiful and bittersweet when you encounter them in Bea Wolf.
This effect owes a large debt to Boulet's stupendous artwork. Boulet brings a vibe rarely seen in American kids' illustration, owing quite a lot to France's bande dessinée tradition. Of course, this is a Firstsecond book, and they established themselves as an exciting and fresh kids' publisher in the USA nearly 20 years ago by bringing some of Europe's finest comics to an American audience for the first time. You can get a sense of Boulet's darker-than-average, unabashedly anarchic illustrations here:
https://www.comixtrip.fr/bibliotheque/bea-wolf-weinersmith-boulet-albin-michel/
The utter brilliance of Bea Wulf is as much due to the things it preserves from the original epic as it is to the updates and changes. Weinersmith has kept the Old English tradition of alliteration, right from the earliest passages, with celebrations of heroes like "Tanya, treat-taker, terror of Halloween, her costume-cache vast, sieging kin and neighbor, draining full candy-bins, fearing not the fate of her teeth. Ten thousand treats she took. That was a fine Tuesday."
Weinersmith also preserves the kennings – the elaborate figurative compound phrases that replace nouns – that turn ordinary names and places into epithets at you have to riddle out, like calling a river "the sliding sea."
These literary devices, rarely seen today, are extremely powerful, and they conjure up the force and mystique that has kept Beowulf in our current literary discourse for more than a millennium. They also make this a super fun book to read aloud.
When Jim Henson was first conceiving of Sesame Street, he made a point of designing it to have jokes and riffs that would appeal to adults, even if some of the nuance would be lost on kids. He did this because he wanted to make art that adults and kids could enjoy together, both because that would give adults a chance to help kids actively explore the ideas on-screen, but also because it would bring some magic into those adults' lives.
This is a very winning combination (not for nothing, it's also the original design brief for Disneyland). Weinersmith and Boulet have produced a first-rate work of adult and kid literature, both a perfect entree to Beowulf for anyone contemplating a dive into old English epic poetry, and a kids' book full of booger jokes and transgressive scenes of perfect mischief.

I'm just imagining the incredible, awesome epic fights there could be between the gang and the Injustice universe (and ofc, the yandereism because their parents now refuse to let their kids go, specially since some are dead in their universe). Like, Supergirl squaring up against her evil dad, Huntian fighting against a version of the woman who taught him everything, Blue Lantern suddenly remembering what she learnt from Saint Walker and recovering her hope to fight off the Yellow Lantern Hal and beating him. Songbird having to deal with Robin and beating his ass (please it would be therapeutic for her)
This can go two ways: They're now trapped there because people like Black Canary are too traumatised to lost her son again, despite knowing that Apollo it's not really hers...or them suddenly showing up in the original universe and meeting their Darlings, trying to replace the versions of themselves from that world to stay.
Burn It All Down

Injustice AU

Oh my god, that one scene with Kara and Clark in the second Injustice game, she is so betrayed and horrified that when she sees the truth of what is happening in this world, because her mother would have nothing wanted this, just because she is dead doesn’t mean this is right. Even though she doesn’t get along with her dad from her universe, he would still never fall to that extreme. She can’t even look him in the eye, especially when she sees Superman kill Billy Batson, he was just a kid. Though she would never win against Superman, she may have all her Kryptonian powers but her human DNA weakens her powers, she can bend steel but she can’t beat the man of steel. In this universe Clark has lost everything, he never got that perfect life that she was raised in, he didn’t get to raise his universe’s version of her, no that was taken from her when her mother ended up dead when she was pregnant with her because of the Joker. She could be his second chance, they all could, never mind that she come two decades late than she should have.
“No…no how could you?! Mom… she would have never of wanted this!”
Songbird is a little upset that she has to work with how father in the Insurgency when they get stuck in this alternate universe, she honestly has no idea how to feel about this and that is strange since Songbird almost always has something to say, she’s normally the smartest person in the room and she has never felt more clueless besides the fact that she is anger, so incredibly angry that a word like this could possibly exist, a world worse than the one she came from. Oh then when Songbird finds out about what happened to Dick Grayson, she is ready to kill. She never got along perfectly with Dick but he never deserved to die so when she sees Damian wearing his suit she is about ready to bash his skull in and she would have if she didn’t inherit her father’s no killing rule, so instead Damian ends up with a fractured skull, arms with compound fractures, and a number of broken ribs. She walks away like nothing happened, guess that’s just what happens when you lead a team of superpowered runaways for years.
“I’ll be sure to tell my universe’s Nightwing to steer clear of you… deranged little brat.”
Blue Lantern ends up the worst out of all of them, in this universe she died in the early days of the Regime, in this universe she never even became Blue Lantern. Then her twin brother went to join the Insurgency with his skills as a hacker and programmer because he knew his sister would have never stood for something like this, but this only ends up with him getting captured by the Regime and he gets locked up instead of killing him in hopes of rehabilitating him since Hal cannot loose another child. Then Blue Lantern and the others get pulled into this universe and something just breaks in her when she sees Hal wearing a yellow lantern ring, even if she has had her problems with her universe’s Hal she knows he would never turn to fear. It gets to bad that she looses hope, and she looses her power, she looses their first fight, her power ring dying on her, and then her face is revealed and Hal just stops, it’s her, his little girl that he lost. She gets captured first out of her team, locked up but she is not treated like a prisoner, a nice room, actually good food though it is slightly drugged, clothes that she actually likes they belonged to this universe’s version of her. Then this world’s Hal comes to visit her everyday, though she doesn’t talk to him, lost in the endless sea of depression that masks her hope that is buried deep down. It is only when Hal asks her about the other ring on her finger that she remembers what truly brings her hope and what she needs to get back to…
“In fearful day, in raging night…”
“Did you say something?”
“I said, In fearful day, in raging night, With strong hearts full, our souls ignite, When all seems lost in the War of Light, Look to the stars, for hope burns bright! So fuck off poser!”
Apollo, he has a hard time here, not only did Oliver die in this universe but so did he. He feels so conflicted about what he should do, he wants to help, but he already died in this universe, what if he dies again? What will happen to Blitz? He is more hesitant than usual, having to distant himself from his team while he gets his head on straight, but the person who gets it back on probably is Huntian, and that should be taken quite literally. Huntian slaps Apollo across the face and yells at him to get his head on straight since there are people dying in this universe, being controlled when they should have their freedom and Apollo became a hero to prevent what happened to his mother from ever happening again so he better pick up that damn bow and shoot straight. Though it doesn’t take long for Huntian to get captured either, getting caught when trying to save Blue Lantern and locked up beside her, but his ancient weapons and skills certainly get noticed, especially by Diana. In this universe, Huntian’s family never died and he is just some law student in Maine, but this version of him is promising, Diana asks him to join the Regime since he was raised by the Amazons and could help keep order and control, but that is not what he believe in whatsoever, he believes in protecting and caring as that is what a true leader will be remembered for at the end of the day and because of his actions in the past people will help him in the future meanwhile everyone will turn their backs on Diana in the end. Then just to prove him correct, Apollo is the one who saves Huntian, shooting Diana in the shoulder and knocking him out with his bow.
“What took you so long, sunny boy?”
“Nice to see you’re still alive, King of Ithaca.”
“…shut up.”

I wanted to re-read the latest chapter of your TimKon epic but couldn't remember the title, just the acronym bbts, so I was like. "Google: bbts ao3. no not those kpop boys. Bring Back the Sun? is that it? Google: Bring Back The Sun ao3. Bring Back The Sun ao3 vinelark? no? damnit."
😂😂 i'm picturing this happening with overlapping images and techy music like a movie hacker montage. shoutout to all the non-bbts fics that popped up along the way, it would be so funny if that's how you found your next read.
#'no not those kpop boys' me to my autocorrect for about a year#bring back the sun would've been a pretty banger title tbh#umbrellajam#vinelark asks

The great big asterisk that dangles off every post I've made critiquing Lorch's work.
* Is this really the content that makes everything she's done okay?
I'm an absolute shitter to my core, I know this. Though as much as I love treating her as the joke that she is, sometimes you do gotta be serious. I'd never be caught dead participating in this double think where Lily is both a threat to everyone and a self-important goober spinning her wheels, though a threat to a few she certainly is.
I'm about done pulling punches, so if you want to see me pop the lid off my cool, do please read past the cut.
Because I try to keep an open mind, but besides her being a never back down epic pwner of the Cis Het MAGA losers... What is the fuckin draw? Rhetorical question by the way, you needn't look farther than her own wife to know Lily is all about pretending to shelter the disadvantaged as one of the good ones... but if a good chunk of ex-Lily fans would let me know that even that is conditional. She's created a community where you are protected by an Indigenous Trans Woman, to not really protect anybody, cozy up with all manner of people that match her freak that would also like to poke around this community of people that (to overly simplify it) just ain't got no-one else.
The evidence is all around. The effort that it would take to falsify a lot of it is actually quite ludicrous, especially archive and way back stuff. You straight up can't without a small army of top tier hackers.
Like sure she calls us stalkers for... paying any fucking attention? I do not feel like anyone is tapping her phone lines and bugging her house. She can, does, and will continue to just vomit her every life grip, problem, and story at any opportunity! The vast majority of all the evidence we have is evidence she has boldly and willingly volunteered like the braindead, shortsighted dipshit she is. Motherfuckers are not stalking you, if anything they are fishing.
Lastly, though what I feel is most important is knowing it all and just being like, "but she's so entertaining. " fuck outta here. How does any of the mediocrity she let's dribble onto a notepad make the pain that caused okay? "Yeah, I know she allegedly raped her sister but Stockholm and pokemadhouse ate so fire!" Fuckin Dumpster fire maybe. She's got some of the most boring fics if you can ignore that she's not smart enough to hide her true intentions that naturally bubble up from the subtext, the greater half of her critiques are plagiarized and the other totally scatterbrained... where is the appeal?
#lily orchard#lily peet#lily orchard is a bad critic#lily orchard is a bad writer#lily orchard is an abuser

DCRC Week #5
This week we have just one comic, PKNA #2: Due! (Or I guess the English name would be "Two" but I've been calling Uno by his Italian name the whole time so-)
Shoutout to the cover art right off the bat actually cause Donald appears to be in some kind of hellish Cirque du Soleil contraption. I also really want to know if the binary text actually translates to anything or if they just put in random combinations (not that you can really read where they trail off anyways).
Uno when ChatGPT tells people to start eating rocks and to put glue on their pizza
*holds him by the scruff like a cat*
babygirl
Well that's a bad omen- Oh nvm they only hacked Channel 00, L + ratio
God dammit 😭
snoozer male 🛌💤
Well well well, look who's come craaawling back from his monastary. Enjoyed being a monk NERD??? sorry idk why I'm being mean to Everett he's done literally nothing
NOOO UNO DON'T START TELLING PEOPLE TO EAT ROCKS AND PUT GLUE ON PIZZA
Bet you really regret programming your super AI to lie now huh. Also Donald's not an OUTSIDER ok he's a friend, a pal. He lives in the broom closet.
I feel like I'm watching one of those sitcom episodes where a guy double books a date with two girls at once and he has to go to both dates without them ever seeing each other... at least that's about as much tact as Uno has right now.
WE'RE GONNA SMASH THE HACKER WITH AN ANVIL!!!
poor little meow meow.... he literally deflated
NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
oh that's gore. that's gore of my comfort character 💔
You're telling me this yeeyee ass traffic cone ass is behind everything??? conehead ass-
don't call him that
Haha yay what a happy ending! I sure am glad that Due is definitely dead and gone forever!!!!
Anyways here's an EPIC meme I made in celebration of this chapter.
One time I tried telling one of my friends that "One has an evil brother called Two" and she straight up didn't believe me. See ya next week 🫡

Author Spotlight - Ob_Liv_Ious_Writer

In the run-up to the 2024 Awards we’ve asked some previous winners if they would be interviewed by us. We’re kicking off with @ob-liv-ious-writer author of No Ulterior Motive, which won Best Homeless Fic in 2023
Summary: When Peter saw a spelling mistake on the Stark Industries website, he decided that he had to fix it, no matter what the consequences could be.
When Tony saw that the hacker that managed to evade him was a reckless, too-skinny foster kid, he decided that he was going to offer him an internship.
No ulterior motives.
Not at all.
Excerpt: Ned was still too over the moon to properly fanboy. It felt like a miracle to see Peter happy again. Ned was glad. If anyone deserved a miracle, it was Peter Parker.
Hey, Ob_Liv_Ious, Thank you for answering our questions...
How did you get into Irondad? Honestly? I first found the fandom through a crossover fic from my marauders days. I don't remember what fic it was, but it kickstarted my spider-man obsession, and from there I found Irondad.
What's your favourite Irondad scene? My favourite scene has still gotta be the rooftop one. Hits different.
When did you start writing? For writing in general, I have been doing it my entire life. For fanfic, I think I remember reading everything I could find and then writing my own so that I had more to read.
What do you like about writing most? My favourite thing about writing is the way that it draws me in and lets me lose myself in the life of a character. It's always been a form of escapism, plus it's nice to have a product at the end.
Which of your stories is your favourite and why? No Ulterior Motive, it has to be. It's a story that I wrote at a very pivotal time in my life, plus it's one of the rare stories that I can look back on and still be proud of.
What's your favourite trope to write? Anything hurt/comfort honestly.
What inspired the story? It was long enough ago that I don't really remember, but I think the idea of Peter hacking SI just randomly came to me and I immediately had to write it lol.
Can you tell us a little about the experience of writing it -- did anything stand out or was there a particular person that helped more than others? Again, this was quite a while ago now (I wrote this fic when I was in my senior year of High School and now I'm in my second year of Uni lmao), but I remember writing most of this on the hallway floors between classes. The particular person who helped more than others was absolutely my girlfriend at the time, who motivated me and beta read. Additional points go to all of my old friends who had to put up with me talking about it 24/7 haha.
How did you feel to be a winner of the Awards last year? Epic!! I think this is a really cool project, even though I'm not very active in the community anymore since I don't have enough free time lol. It was nostalgic to look back on my fic, and it makes me really happy that something that helped me so much during my formative years is still being enjoyed by people.
Thank you again Ob_Liv_Ious_Writer for answering our questions and being part of the Irondad Creator Awards.

FAVORITE FIRST WATCHES OF SEPTEMBER
picking up the cordial invite of anyone to do the game by @anyataylorjoys
I tag @thetudorslovers @streatfeild @randomprivateer @ainvege @zizzlekwum @katarinas-redemption @trishvaylar and anyone who wants to
I'm very chaotic when it comes to watching movies - I never know if I'm gonna end up rewatching a movie I've watched 20+ years ago (because I don't remember any of it), watching exclusively someone's filmography, or just pick a random movie.
It's been mostly Jackmantember XD

Paperback Hero (1999) – it's what I'd call a classic romcom. Just look at the premise:a local truck driver secretly pens successful romance novels using his best female friend's name who's a badass pilot. Things got complicated when a publisher gets into his small town in the middle of nowhere with an offer... It's perfect for an evening watch. Light, funny, hilarious, and comforting.
Reminiscence (2021) – a post apocalyptic sci-fi-ish neonoir with a twist. Reviews are mixed, but I'd recommend you watch it yourself. I liked it, and it hit just the right spot at that time, and honestly, made me cry. If you liked the Black Mirror episode about erasing/rewatching memories, you'll probably like this movie, too. Definitely not the kind of a movie to watch if you want to turn your brain off for the evening—there's too much stuff going on, but the pacing is really slow, almost dragging... But, again, I needed something like that.
Swordfish (2001) – wild 00s thriller I can't believe I've never watched before lol. Hot men, hot women (bisexual disaster alert), covert ops, tons of money, spies, hackers, shadow/puppet governments, conspiracies and whatnot... Gimme all, gimme moar. I don't care if some say Hugh Jackman wasn't believable here as a hacker. I actually like his version of a hacker more rather than a glassed-geeky stereotype that keeps popping up everywhere. And yeah, for those who care, it's 00s, so beware of 18+ and dubious consent and whatnot.
Prisoners (2013) – I know the director D. Villeneuve because of Sicario movies, and I can't believe I've never bothered to watch this. Villeneuve's movies are something between a chokehold and smothering. So I knew what I was getting into, but this was before Sicario, so I was curious to see where he started. This is not an easy watch. It starts off a beaten premise—there's two small girls missing, there's a cop who tries to do a right thing, and there's a father who thinks that trying is not good enough. From this point forward, the movie peels off the layers of the seemingly 'decent' neighborhood and its folks. It's a very unsettling movie, with a raw, gut-crushing performance from Hugh Jackman.
The Interpreter (2005) - yay, not a Jackman movie. This is a solid typical for 00s with its style and pace thriller about an interpreter for the UN who hears something she isn't supposed to (something on a very rare African dialect she knows) and becomes a target. Nicole Kidman as an interpreter and Sean Penn as the FBI agent tasked to protect her have quite interesting dynamic.
Australia (2008) - You either like Baz Luhrmann style or you hate it. I'm not his fan, but this epic saga about an Englishwoman who inherits a ranch in northern Australia was a revelation. Jackman here is a drover—the guy who droves cattle, horses, etc., to another location for a small commission. There are too many themes raised—racism, colonialism, the WWII, and the greed and betrayal. And how to stay human where everyone seems to have lost humanity. It's not easy to watch because the pacing is quite slow, and it's almost 3h, I think? But it'll leave its mark, trust me.

OH MY GOD I'M SO ANGRY
Nobody probably listens to ytcracker, but I'm a big fan of his "Introducing Neals" concept album. Basically it tells a story of a cool hacker which fights against big corporations for internet neutrality and privacy (smth like that yk, and it's still relevant 🤔).
This project was going to be huge because some animation studio was making animated clips for some songs. They probably wanted to make a whole animated movie. But that was about 9 years ago. I guess they ran out of money and cancelled the project. Too bad.
But look what they managed to make. That's a very nice animation actually. I really want to share the first two clips so here they are:
youtube
See? EPIC. COLORFUL. ANIMATED FRAME BY FRAME BY REAL PEOPLE. I literally made fanart for this album based on these clips. Inspiring. HELL YEAH we all say in unison.
BUT YESTERDAY IT WAS 10 YEARS ANNIVERSARY OF THIS ALBUM AND THIS CHANNEL POSTED TWO VIDEOS CALLING THEM "FULL MOVIE". I immediately clicked only to see THIS AI GENERATED TRASH.
youtube
this is just disrespectful... Okay, you have no budget to animate, you have no budget to celebrate the anniversary. You can just NOT CELEBRATE IT. I'm not even sure if anyone still remembers this project, nobody cares. BUT NO. YOU JUST TOOK A BUNCH OF AI GENERATED SHITTY IMAGES, GLUED THEM TOGETHER INTO THIS ABOMINATION AND POSTED IT AS A "FULL MOVIE"????
I'm so disappointed I want to cry. I love this album so much, it inspired me to draw fanart for it, it is also the main inspiration source for my clone high cyberpunk au, I listen to this album very often to feel the specific vibe from it, I even have a whole ass google document with the plot analyze of Introducing Neals. Ytcracker is a good artist too, I love his other songs.
And this, as i said, is just disrespectful. I wrote about that in the comments, idc if it gets deleted by authors who sat on their asses for hours writing ai prompts and not giving a single fuck about the album. I'm mad.
Seriously, i've been thinking of making animatics for some of the songs, but i guess it doesn't matter now? AI is better, the crowd is cheering. Okay. Whatever. I guess people will watch anything now.

I really love how Cellbit involved his rpg in his qsmp character and the server's lore in general. It gave a really nice twist to the plot. I'm not sure how the element rooms are involved with q!Cellbit yet, but the Sect of the Masks (i think that's what they are called) giving missions to q!Cellbit is really cool.
Also Tazercraft, because if i'm not wrong, Chume Labs was an old project of theirs and they brought it back on the qsmp which is also epic.
This is why I would love to see more people introduce their own stories on qsmp too, like Charlie's mcu (minecraft cinematic universe), Bad's history with the Egg Cult and the red vines etc. It's already great that Cellbit made it canon that Bad and him were Hunger Games veterans and killed a lot of people, but i want more! I want more plot twists, like Cellbit eating Pac's leg when they were prison mates, Mike and Pac being really good at breaking in and out of places because of the prison break, Fit being a hacker and a literal minecraft historian from 2b2t.
IT'S SO GOOD

I had a lil idea for a game that I'm too lazy to script and plan but I'll make it one day (no) trust chat. Sorry if you can't decipher what I'm trying to say I'm not good with words vro
You know the game Poker night at the inventory? Well, it's that but with Roblox game characters. At the start you select a table(basically lobby) to join and pick a character. Each one has at least one special ability. It goes lile basic poker, characters can have different voicelines and dialogue amongst eachother (Elliot from work at a pizza place and C00lkidd(any version there's so many cameos of this guy across robpox games I don't even know anymore. But btw versions from different Roblox games can be skins!), any admin and hacker combo, character with same roles such as Medkit(PH), Medic(VS) and Medic(DTT) etc)
Btw you can also fight someone because why the heck not. Some characters will stand up and invite to a proper duel and some will just lunge at the person they want to fight. Everyone else in the server can watch the fight. And btw, all the games in a server are happening in one room, so you can peek at the other tables.
This WILL be absolute hell to code and get the permission to use certain characters but it'd be the game of my dreams that unites communities and lets people discover new games..
Over, out *epic explosion*
AHHH THIS SOUNDS SO COOL.... always remember that fangames exist (as long as you're not making money off them!!) so. heh. maybe you could make an RPG/visual novel type thing where you play as a spectator drifting from table to table? that way you get to include all the characters & their interactions!! either way if you ever try making an actual game with all the abilities included, please update me!!! i'd love to play it ^_^
#roblox#goodness what do I tag this as ??#rovelopment#rodiscussion#roblox development#Roblox game dev#roblox dev#roblox game#roblox coder#elliot waapp#c00lkidd roblox#roblox admins#unsure if I should tag any of the other characters... if I even recognize them lol

Here I am, one of the many players who for years believed GE Saeran jumped from the window with MC to rescue them. You had already talked about this and your explanation makes the situation make more sense (although I thought that was epic about jumping haha, although on second thought, we were more likely to break our legs if there wasn't something safe to break our fall).
Maybe the answer is obvious.... But I also have the same doubt with Suit Saeran when he comes to apologize to MC. I don't remember hearing the door open or if Suit made any noise.... Which makes me wonder where he entered and left the room? Through the door? Haha, I'm telling you I always think of Suit climbing up the building to get to our bedroom window and then going out that way to come down again xD (I dunno, it's just that Saeran Choi and windows seem very related to me for some reason..... The hacker breaks windows lol).
I hate to break it to you but he didn't break through the window.
This is proven by the outgoing phone call where the two of you work together to find a way out of there. He actually leaves you in a supply closet before he goes back out with the camera so the two of you can get out of there without anybody being the wiser of the path you took. But, I'm certain you know that since you already read the post about it, haha.
I think some people get confused because of the light shattering. It is just a light that shatters, nothing else. The two of you could not have jumped out of the window to that room because it is not on the first floor and it would do more harm than good to do that.
I would advise not jumping in or out of a window but this character is prone to always suggesting that and I love him for it, but he is steadily making me lose hair every time he says he can jump through a window.
Suit Saeran came through the door! But, you're right, it would be funny if he tried to come in through the window. He does stand in front of the window when he apologizes so I'm going to say if you want to imagine him climbing up the building through vines or what have you, I'm not going to stop you because there's nothing that says you're wrong.
If that makes you laugh and feel good, then by all means, imagine it that way. You know, it probably makes him feel like the hero in a fairy tale which is something he wants.

name the wips
@to-proudly-go thank you for the tag dear ^-^
If you are tagged, post a picture or write out the names of your fics/WIPS as they are in your computer/phone. (Explain the names if you think it’s necessary)
Tag as many people as you like!
okay, since this is just a 'list your wips' rather than an ask game, I'm explaining them too XD.
mutuals: the sw and hp fics are all mixed up! I've no hope of separating them! half of this will make no sense! sorry!! but this is how they show up in the drive:
from dusk to morrow: padme x satine tcw ship manifesto. staying at grandma's house in the summer made me write lesbian sex
Love and Rebellion: the NaNo :)
Once Upon a Green Haze: my baby. never gonna let it go.
Waltz No.19: wolfstar; the second time I've tried to write a figure skaing fic. only on the third draft or so
the star wars figure skating au: the third time I'm trying to write a figure skating fic. I'm nothing if not predictable. (but like. obikin yuri on ice??)
space wolfstar: this was before I admitted to myself I want to write obikin and wrote a obikin wolfstar au
any way the wind blows: an anakin-stayed-on-tatooine au
back to Scratch: hacker sirius & overqualified high school teacher remus. I felt so smart about this title
eternity and more: a sequel to the obikin force ghost fic
everyone's got a story (like this): (hehe)
everything you wanted: a fic for the musical Falsettos. basically for when I'm reading angsty gay poems. it's in second person pov??
if you want me (let me stay): that one time I fell into the trope basket and tried to write a pregnant obi-wan (shhh)
the sw gay triad epic: the bail organa/obi-wan/anakin love triangle (listen this could be so good. just imagine.)
turn off the sun (there's no light, no shadow): pretentious lyrical bs I like a bit too much. also for when I want to pretend I understand taoist philosophy
twoset ripoff (bach in black): I felt really smart about this one as well. twoset violin (the youtube channel) but it's the black brothers
what these arms can hold: a crack fic snippet series
no pressure tagging @heartofspells @shipsgaysfordays @wanderingdonut @piecesofeden11 !

Happy STS!
If each of your characters had to come up with an online password, what would those look like?
Oh, what a question lol
Izjik's password would be *******. Twenari set this up because Izjik would get confused every time she put in a password and it just showed asterisks as a privacy feature. This way, she types asterisks and it shows asterisks, so she's not confused.
Sepo’s password is aShkal0v3hris_0936#. He reeeeally doesn't want anyone on his account. Ashkalovehris is the Llanaodan (siren language) word for a gate guard.
Twenari’s password, in a similar vein, is 127TammU_SalmonPink. This is a reading of the strength and color of her arcane signature. Only sorcerers can see arcane signatures, and even then, each sorcerer usually sees a unique variation on a central theme. So, her account is pretty secure.
Djek’s password is NosyArentYou?;). He's been hacked enough at this point that he's not really worried about it, he just wants to make it funny.
Astra's password is MerchersDay647$. That's her cat's name. I think it wouldn't be too unlikely that she would get hacked, but she'd find a way to brick the hacker's phone to an epic extent in retribution.
Mashal's password would be password123. He's not remembering anything more than that, I'm sorry to say. Ironically, I don't imagine he'd be the best with technology. Astra had to beg him to add that 123. He just can't imagine anyone being so rude as to hack his account.
Ivander’s password would be 0maramas0. Maramas is what his mother called him in private as a child. He doesn't know the meaning of the word, and could never find the translation since Ourin is a rare language on the surface of Illaros, so it's not something anyone would readily guess.
Elsind's password is bestbookworm338. The numbers are arbitrary, but they do like books. I would rate his hackability at an 8 out of 10.
Avymere's password is 1hr!8dh3PlaV%39a$. Given that they basically have a nation's nuclear clearance codes on their computer, that password needs to be airtight. It changes on the regular and is never written down - they just remember it.
Thanks for the ask!

What is one cool thing that you like about your WIP or have read about in someone else's WIP?
Hi 'Mous!
Since this is my "promote other Writeblrs" blog I'll answer for ones I've seen around (if you want me to answer for myself, feel free to send another ask to @druidx).
The 'utility artificers' in @ashen-crest's Rosemond St Series (it is technically a series now, right?). I'm a big sucker for 'high fantasy, but make it urban' (as opposed to urban fantasy's 'take IRL and give it magic' (though I do like that - but I digress)). Plus the whole setup she's got going on in that series is a huge itch-scratcher for me, filling the niche left by people such as A. Lee. Martinez and KE Mills.
Cyberpunk hackers, my beloved! @digital-chance's Nova Futurum looks awesome, and their main character in that is a hacker. I'm excited to see more of their work!
I'd be horribly remiss if I didn't mention @artbyeloquent's Hill To Die On. This looks at the paranormal from a distinctly Jewish POV which is utterly fascinating to me, and also Elo's writing style is just 🤌️ *mwah*!
Talking of writing style, for that and her just truly epic worldbuilding, I have to recommend @faelanvance. Both The Last Wild Place and The Whale God's Wife** will be an epic of the ages from what I've seen from the excerpts and snips. I'll take 'things I want on my shelf' for 10, Alex 😅️
And last, but not at all least, is my darling @aquadestinyswriting's The Wizard's Tale and The Trouble with Meredith. Now, with these, I'm highly biased, because the 'cool' thing about these are they're set in our highly modified version of the Fighting Fantasy World of Titan TTRPG. Also her characters are epic and I loves 'em ur honour.
...Oops. I was supposed to go off with this right? 😅️
Anyway, thanks for the question and have fun checking out some of these superb writers, 'Mous!
🫖️🌿️
(** Fae - is that the right intro post for that WIP? Please let me know if not so I can fix)
