"On your knees."

Alexander didn't move; instead, he gave the men blocking his path a defiant look.

"I said, on your knees - now."

Alexander gritted his teeth. He despised people ordering him around. But given that there were three of them, and they all held swords, he pushed aside his reluctance to obey.

He sank to his knees, arms held up. At least they hadn't hit him on the back of the head like the last time he'd been mugged. He still had a small knot under his hair where Davis' blow had landed all those years ago.

"Search him; he's sure to have something valuable."

He glanced back at the small inn where he had been, until now, enjoying a drink and a good meal.

"Oh, no one's coming, rich man. My friends inside will be more than a match for your men."

His companions stepped forward, the taller one holding his sword at the ready while the other searched his pockets. Alexander glared at the man, hating every second the strange hands touched him. 

The leader caught and opened Alexander's money pouch. He pulled out a ring, and Alexander hissed slightly in annoyance; if they damaged either of his rings, he would be very irritated.

The man whistled in appreciation at the size and weight of it. "See? Now this here is worth a pretty penny, for sure." He stepped back toward the inn, closer to the light spilling from its windows, and held it up.

"Prince Alexander of-" he read out loud, stopping short as his men interjected.

"You had us -"

"He's not really -"

Distracted, the man holding his sword out at Alexander lowered his arm.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, men leaped out of the shadows and surrounded the muggers before they could even register what was happening.

Once satisfied they were under control, Captain Tamart turned his attention to Alexander. His face was reddening on one side from a blow; Alexander was impressed the mugger's friends had managed even that much. 

Tamart held a hand out as he asked in a dry voice, "You do realize your wife and father will fight over who gets my head if anything happens to you, right?"

"The only risk to your head is too much worrying," Alexander quipped back as he took the offered help to his feet. Then, in a more serious tone, he added, “But, thanks for the assistance.” 

Alexander walked over to the ringleader and snatched back his possessions. He slipped the Daventry ring back into the pouch to rest beside his money and Land of Green Isles ring. Returning to Tamart, he said, “They knew you were my guards. I know you tried, but you all still come off as soldiers."

As their men led the three would-be thieves out of sight, Tamart sighed. "Well. So much for traveling incognito. And in all seriousness, it would make my job much easier if you didn't wander off alone like that."

"Sorry; I didn't want to blow our cover. And besides, if things had started getting out of hand…" Alexander held up a palm; a fireball appeared above it. 

He let it fade and started to walk off toward his original destination.

"That wasn't out of hand?" Tamart muttered to himself. Continuing more loudly, he called, "And where are you going now?"

Alexander shrugged. "Still need to pee."

in this AU, Steve is the son of the all mighty pokemon master, he can't do shit without being compare to his dad, never had a chance to prove himself, so kinda wanna go icognito and go on his own way, but a guy named Eddie busted him right away (Steve is celebrity, and Eddie always had a crush on the Harrington son.

No one else recognize him ( or maybe Robin later) and everyone just think it's a random trainer and so they go on a journey.

Fruity four pokemon journey ??

I kinda want Robin to have a Zorua/Zoroark so it can shapeshift and help Steve be at two places at the same time
