Random list of information cuz ive been plotting out friend dynamics and background lore

-i like to pretend Rainbow High/Shadow High are actually Rainbow University/Shadow University cuz im in art college Right Now and i think it makes more sense with the whole dorm room situation. And also major makes more sense than focus IMO

-I changed Pinkie's major from film to just undeclared. I think she eventually does land on Film. She just has a lot of interests! Her dream has always been to one day direct films, and I think she comes to love them even more while developing ideas her with the group as she winds up in a Director/Producer position for most of them. BUT also every time she takes a class in a different program she cant help but fall in love with that way of making art too. So she has a hard time picking for a while and changed her major a couple times before landing on Film.

-Pinkie and Berrie bond a lot over a shared interest in vocal synths (tho Berrie knows more about them than her).

-The two made Pinkie's vtuber model together!

-the fandom wiki says PJ is from germany?? Idk how canon that is tbh but ive decided to embrace it i guess

-Rooney's canon name is Scarlet Rose, but i thought it was kinda lame especially when Rosie Redwood is also in this line sooo I renamed her! Stuck to the color name puns tho. Mar Rooney. Maroon. Haha

-Speaking on her though i love that shes from texas and likes writing scifi mystery type stuff and that being said i just Know deep in my bones that she was a Voltron Legendary Defender fan and Keith was/is 100% her favorite. She has a continued fondness for mothman specifically cuz of this.

-PJ and Rooney actually talk about fandom and shows/movies ALL the time. They dont have a ton of overlapping interests, but where they do? The two literally never shut up.

-Rosie is such a random character, like outside of her design she feels very poorly considered. So I scrapped the cosmetology thing and made her an illustrator instead! I think it works better with her love of making art in nature. I can see her being really into illustrated guide books. I think shes a bit snooty when it comes to art too. It takes being friends with other artists to become more open minded.

-I like the idea that Rosie is mainly friends with Rooney and Berrie ontop of that. The three of them often tag team storylines and how theyd interpret them into different mediums. Rosie will draw up a bunch of concept stuff while Rooney writes up a pitch bible and Berrie will start making shit move and throwing in her own ideas on camera angles and character designs.

-as an animation major Berrie was required to take a sound design class early on, which is where she met Oliver! Hes very laid back, and likes to go with the flow, but functions a little like the "mom" of the group. Often reminding the girls to take breaks, drink water, stop looking at their screens lest they get eye strain etc. He's multi-talented tbh but Music is his one true passion and he likes how the girls are always giving him collaboration opportunities.

-Oliver and Rosie like to talk sports a lot, both having played a bunch when they were younger and throughout high school.

-Lavender Lynn is Oliver's number one "person who needs constant reminders to settle down" she is in a constant buzz of trying to get the best shots and is utterly obsessed with the process of artistic documentation. Everything must be documented.

-the whole school loves her for this actually, she has a whole side gig where other students hire her to help photograph their projects. She saves everything she earns from this for her future dream plans to visit paris. She has it set really, many of the artists who she helps photograph now will remain steadfast clients of hers forever onward.

-PJ and Lynn actually took a print media class together at one point. Which didnt at the time spark an everlasting friendship. But it did give PJ an easier in to ask for Lynn's help documenting a project the group was working on. One of Lynn's first times photographing them work happened to fall on a day where Rosie had planned to trick everyone into going on a nature walk sans devices... Lynn wound up really appreciating this outing and decided to continue hanging around the group even after that project had ended.

The Road To Nowhere / Yes, Coach / Stay / The Bones of You / You go your way, I'll go your way too -- all AFTG fics. it's funny, i feel like i'm more 'known' (for want of a better word) for trc/pynch fics and i've certainly written more of them, but almost all of my aftg fics are considerably more popular if we're going by kudos.

Do you respond to comments? i used to reply to every single one without fail but it started to make me really really anxious at a time when i was writing a multi-chapter fic, because some comments really don't warrant a reply, but i got into a mindset of 'well if i reply to one comment i have to reply to all of them' and then i realised that i don't, actually! also i'm allergic to notifications so as soon as i read them i mark them as read, which makes my brain happier but also means i'm more likely to forget to reply. i always reply if someone asks a question, and i do try to at least reply to the first chunk of comments i get on a new fic though!

What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? probably burning bright right 'til the end

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? head over heels immediately comes to mind. also kick start my rock and rollin' heart. but tbh almost all my fics have happy endings, that's just how i roll. (also a lot of them are short oneshots that are less about narrative and more about vibes, so they don't all necessarily feel like they have endings as such!)

Do you get hate on fics? nope, i've been pretty lucky so far!

Do you write smut? i very occasionally write smut-adjacent lmao, but not really

Do you write crossovers? no, they don't really interest me

Have you ever had a fic stolen? i hope not!

Have you ever had a fic translated? yes, one. i've been asked quite a lot as well and my answer is that i'm fine with my fics being translated (with credit obviously) but only if they're being posted on ao3, i don't want them on any other site.

What’s a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will? i don't wanna say that i'll never finish any of the fics i've started in earnest -- if i liked an idea enough that any of it all made it out of my head and onto a page then there's hope for it in the future. i'll get to them when i get to them!

What are your writing strengths? dialogue. it always comes the easiest to me. a lot of my fics start from conversations that popped into my head, then i get to write the situation to get that conversation to happen which is the tricky part!

What are your writing weaknesses? everything else! idk, world-building i guess? i don't think i'm that great at descriptions. i can do all the internal character feelings and emotions and stuff, it's just the external that i stuggle with.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? i haven't done it but i'm not like, against it?

Militat Omnis Amans: The Beginnings by edaen - 92k words, fantasy, werewolf!jk, vampire!jm, forbidden love, super slow burn but super worth it, JIKOOK IN THIS IS MY FAVORITE JIKOOK IN ANY FIC EVER EVER EVER, this is the ultimate all or nothing will freeze hell over for the other kind of love, and the way this is written is just so... how do i describe it. like you can just tell the author wanted to be very realistic with their feelings. you’ve seen the word count, this is SLOW burn. like you will legit feel their struggle to just be able to love each other and while it hurts, it’s also SO GLORIOUS. i love this one so much and if you like reading angst with happy ending but like cranked up to 200% then read this. bonus feels if you read the whole series

Until Dawn (series) by edaen - this is the long series where the previous one above is part of. highly rec if you love fantasy and you wanna read about bts being a rag tag group of supernatural beings fighting evil yay. also it makes the above fic more satisfying because you see more of jikook just being tgt and in love (with bonus angst because of course)

7 Signs by NamHyora - 27k words, secret spies au, abo, alpha!jk, omega!jm who is always used as a raven in their operations aka they use jimin and his attractive self to attract people and gather information or acquire targets and all that spy stuff, and his bestie alpha jk is not too happy about it hehe, friends to lovers, iove this one so much i wish it was longer but i think the author is planning to write a sequel!

Drop Like Confetti by annie_vi - 110k words, ceo!jk, age difference, age swap, ahhh i love this fic so much cause jimin smart and mature and has this no bs attitude, and he can keep up with jk despite the age gap and the difference in status/experiences, jk sexy dilf in this one eheh, i love it cause the drama/angst tackles a very real concern for such couples, like there’s no angst just for the sake of having angst, it really makes sense where they’re both coming from, they’re so whipped for eo too so love that for me

Fandoms: Tolkien (all of it, though oddly I've only written for the Hobbit films and the Silmarillion, not LotR), The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, Mortal Kombat (2021 film and hopefully soon the newer games), Yu Yu Hakusho, Fire Emblem (Echoes and the older games only). Plenty of others that I read for, but those are the ones I've written for since I moved to Ao3.

Two-shot: Bit of a rarity- I'm mostly a oneshotter- but I'm still fond of Haunt, especially now that I'm dabbling back in that style for an upcoming MK thing.

Most popular multi-chapter: I've done very few multichapters, but by the numbers, probably nothing will ever be as popular as The Beginning of the End, which was a fic for fucking Xiaolin Showdown of all things. It's not on my Ao3, and I'm not linking it because I wrote it almost 15 years ago when I was in high school and while I'm still fond of it, it's terrible. 🤣 Eleventh Hour is honestly my only good real multichapter. Please read it if you're in the AoR fandom, it'll hopefully be done this year and only like four people care about it 😂

Actual worst part of writing: Debilitating perfectionism, agonizing over every single little word choice and shit that absolutely no one else will ever notice.

How you choose your titles: Tbh titles are one of the things I struggle with the worst. A lot of them in the past have just been like single words or cliche phrases and I never like them. For the MK stuff they've been mostly lyrics or lines of poetry, which is maybe hokey but which I at least like better.

Do you outline: Sometimes for longer stuff. Mostly I just end up with a jumble of random notes that I then fill in the actual story around.

Ideas I probably won’t get around to but wouldn’t it be nice: Actual longfic of the MK/ Pacific Rim AU (though I'm gonna at least attempt some oneshots.) Liu Kang 2021 as a trans man. One thing I know I'll never write but lives in my brain permanently is the standard "Thorin Lives and Bilbo moves to Erebor" AU but that actually explores how badly that could go, because that puts the RING in Erebor instead of the Shire, not only in a place maybe more accessible to Sauron, but at the right hand of a line of kings we already know to be corruptible. Idk I loved those AUs as just fun fixits but the possible implications.....

Best writing traits: I like to think that my writing is a nice mix of enough poetic imagery and description and other literary flourish to be interesting without going over into too purple or difficult to read. And I hope my characters and their inner thoughts are good, since that tends to be my focus, rather than complicated plot. (I'm so aware of how many things I've written where basically nothing happens xD) Idk man 🤣

First ever ship: I’m reasonably certain it was ... johnlock? Because Sherlock was how I figured out I was asexual and up until that point i categorically refused to read romance/shippy fic... and then once things clicked for me personally then it was like “oh ok i can read romance stuff now”

Currently working on: honestly, mostly fanbinding lol. so many pretty books to make! but i finally did pick up and start writing a TCW bunny that uh... is basically a GAR sexual assault/harassment policy and procedure (or addressing likely lack thereof) fic that will probably turn into endgame codywan... i also have some massive beef w/ admiral yularen which may or may not turn into a fic.

I write Drabbles and one shots mostly. Because, again I get stressed out writing multi chapter stories. If I write them I try to have finished writing them before I post them.

there's two. A John Wick Fic I still plan on finishing at some point and a August Walker fic. I just.. I won't write for Cavill anymore.

the shitty editor that doesn't seem to be working properly since like a week and anon hate.

I mostly write on weekends. Drabbles can happen (lol) whenever I get inspired though. And the Bruce Wayne fic get posted after writing immediately too.

well... The first thing I really outlined is everything that is happening over in the Stay universe. Mostly I have a general Idea what I want to write and then write the complete opposite though lmao

oneshots are scheduled. Javi stuff happens every Monday and all other one shots get posted on Thursday. Drabbles mostly get posted immediately after finishing them.

Completed? lmfao None. I did upload a new BHB piece to AO3 though, so... If we're talking what's not been added to tumblr, then I guess I can count that.

2) How many WIPS do you have right now?

DO NOT CALL ME OUT LIKE THIS. It's like 60+ though. DON'T LOOK AT ME, I HAVE TROUBLE FOCUSING SO I AM CONSTANTLY WORKING ON NEW THINGS.

3) Do you take writing requests or write original ideas, or both?

I used to take requests but that became a tad overwhelming. Also wouldn't consider my ideas original. lmfao So neither?

I'm not gonna lie, I still have a bunch of requests saved in my drafts from when I did take them...

Oof. Technically I've only published fics for the ADCU and also Attack on Titan, but I'm working on some Demon Slayer and Tokyo Ghoul fics too.

Just going to preface this and say that I have no idea what the actual threshold for these are so these are just how I've always looked at it. I think I would consider probably anything 500 words or less a drabble, anything over 500 a one shot and idk...I sometimes use fics/one shots interchangeably.

19) Which do you prefer to write more? HC, drabbles, oneshots/fics, multi chapter stories, other?

I wish I had the attention span for multi chapter stories that I could actually finish. But because I typically don't, I'll have to go with one shots.

20) Are there any stories you have discontinued? If so, why?

No, not really. I'm still actively working on everything, it's just severely slow going.

21) What is one of your main “pet-peeves” as a writer on Tumblr?

I think the discouragement of writers from other writers in the fandom is a big problem and it's something that's bothered me for a long time now.

22) Do you write at a particular time of day?

I have found that most of my ability to focus and be motivated comes in the morning, so usually I write most of my stuff between 7 - 10 weekday mornings.

23) Do you listen to music, ambiance/noise, etc to write or do you need silence?

I listen to music. Typically, I put the same song on repeat and let that play over and over while I write.

24) Do you outline your fics at all before writing?

Some of them I do. I have outlines for To the Wolves, Fidelity, and a couple others that haven't seen the light of day yet.

25) Do you post your writing as soon as you finish it, or do you schedule it to come out at a specific time/day?

I'm impatient so I usually just post as I finish.

fandoms: hoo doggy. uhhhhh I wrote fic for Percy Jackson, Sherlock, the Avengers, and Doctor Who in Ye Olden Days on FF.net, but now I mostly write DMBJ fic, which, tbh, is really the only fandom that I like writing fic for at this point?? I think it’s because of the people lmao. And also the extremely versatile ways I can use the characters

two-shot: I don’t think I have a two-shot? I have some two-parter series, either finished or in the works, but for me it’s either one-shot or many-shots. I like two-shots though! They’re always very good bc More Content but with the neat formatting of a one-shot

most popular multi-chapter fic: A Swiftly Tilting Planet yooooooo! I mean to be fair it’s also my only multi-chapter fic but

actual worst part of writing: SUMMARIES i’m literally so bad at summaries. they’re all either short or don’t actually make sense bc I’m literally terrible at writing them. I also hate the feeling where the fic is all inside you and wants to come out but you don’t have enough time/energy/typing speed to get it out there quick enough

how you choose your titles: they’re usually song lyrics or lines from poems lmao. I’m also not great at titles. the FoBa Psychic Detective AU is gonna be called You Don’t Recognize the Bodies in the Water, which is from a weird-ass TikTok I saw the other day so uhhhhh take my titling ability as being Non-Existant

do you outline: YES ok so i was adamantly against outlining for like. my entire writing career bc i was like “it’s a waste of time, idk what’s going to happen, i find it out as i write” and then i outlined Swiftly Tilting and banged that one out SO fucking quick. Like, even just having a basic idea of where you want to go before you start makes writing SO much easier. how did i not discover this hack earlier. Also, you don’t even have to stick with it! You can change it as you discover things! Like! Ah! 

ideas you probably won’t get around to, but wouldn’t it be nice: hmmmm i don’t know! There’s like! so many! and most of them I could conceivably get around to, but it might be awhile. I have a vague idea for a Swiftly Tilting prequel about the m9 ship crew, and also a Vincenzo fic about vinnie and luca being IN LOVE because they ARE but i don’t know if I have enough passion in me to write for that show. other than that, though, is just like. a veritable cascade of ideas waiting (ooohh like the Jia Kezi/Li Jiale ghost roommate oneshot based on the hit BL drama He’s Coming to Me? i would LOVE to write that one but idk if it will happen). aslighalkdsfjladkjf @vishcount I also had a SOTUS-dream last night where Arthit discovers a secret plot at the college that involves a gun full of bees that Kongpob’s mother developed and he has to keep it hidden from the Bad Guys who want to use it to create like, fuckin, superpowered swimmers?? also there was a lot of angst involved bc Arthit was a swimmer in high school for some reason and then something happened oh wait oh shit I realize why that was, it’s because Krist was in that one show where he played a swimmer in high school and it was very angsty. Ok my brain makes sense now. Also BTS was there.

best writing traits: oh gosh uhhhhhhh ok I don’t want this to sound like i’m bragging or full of myself but like. I’m fucking good at writing. There’s definitely stuff that I need to work on, and maybe i should edit things a little more but like??? bitch!!!! you’re good at this!!! this is your job!!! idk I spent so much time being like “aw shit what if I’m actually not that good what if everyone who reads my stuff is just being nice and saying that they like it and it actually sucks” but i’ve looked back on some of the things i’ve done recently and I’m like, actually a good writer. I think the “fake it until you make it” saying is also super applicable to writing, bc in college I was like “ok what if I just make this as Pretentious Sounding As Possible” and everyone was like “omgggg ur so goooodddd this proseee” and i was like “oh damn i didn’t realize that would work.” and now my ace ass writes straight p*rn romance novels for a living. like I genuinely don’t know what I’m doing half the time, but if you put your work out there with confidence and the knowledge that someone will want to read it, someone is going to read it. also u don’t have to know what a penis looks like to write Sex Involving Penises. You’ve just gotta be good at metaphors.

extremely fun fact for people who think ‘popularity’ is important to me: i would 100% rather have 10 people who regularly comment, reblog my fics with tags and interact with me than 100 people who read my fic and either leave a like or simply move on. i think this is true for the VAST MAJORITY of writers tbh. i’m glad that people think i am a ‘popular’ blog (i am not in the grand scheme of things, one of my ex-best friends used to run a kpop reader insert blog with like 30,000 followers) bc it gives me an ego boost lmao, but i really just want people to read and enjoy the stuff i write!!!

Now im not gonna say 'dont feel bad pls' bc I know that's not really useful but what I do think is useful is just discussing why that anon and many others feel the need to respond that way. As someone who follows a lot of writing blogs myself and have done for a long time, i've seen my handful of favourite writers come and go for different reasons, lose motivation for a while, gain motivation for a while, go from multi to single fandom, or single fandom to multi. Often times as a reader it can be upsetting when things change but it's also important as a reader to understand that some things aren't in anyone's control, I can't control what my favourite writers become a fan of or lose interest of, I can't control things in their personal lives that may motivate or demotivate them to write, but what I can do is support them as long as they're active, and if they move on to do things i'm no longer interested in or i'm the one that changed interests, rather than being upset that they're evolving to do other things or that they're not evolving with me, I think it's important that I still feel thankful for the works that I enjoyed while we were still on the same page and this is how I personally deal with those negative feelings. I think the anons that lash out at you probably just dont know what to do with themselves, maybe they got attached to your works while you were still only a jjba blog and now that you're evolving they're upset, while I understand how they feel, they're going the completely wrong way about it. I've learned to take these things and turn them into something positive for myself or at least something bittersweet that I can move on from but the anons that lash out at you for whatever reason probably haven't learned this yet. Maybe it's because i've moved on and changed interests a lot myself that I know how these things go for both writers and readers but those anons maybe haven't experienced this as much so they dont know what to do with themselves other than complain that you've changed and throw insults at you in an attempt to get you to revert back. None of this is because of the quality of your writing like they want you to believe, it's literally just because you've evolved and while some of your old followers might not like the new content for no reason other than it not being their cup of tea, it's definitely not regressed at all. You are pumping out a lot of content right now but every single thing i've read has just been better than the last. Things that really stand out to me is how well you get characterisation down to a T and all of your dialogue is just on point and from the pov of a reader I think those things seem the hardest to get right so I am such a huge fan of your stuff at the moment and I can tell you're really putting so much thought and care into each and every fic no matter how fast you're producing it, I think the fact that you're also proud of what you're writing at the moment really shines through as well and I just adore the passion that radiates from every completed request as well as in the responses for the subsequent thirsts resulting from these works that appear in your ask box later (I know i've sent quite a few by now~)

Just to be clear i'm not defending those anons in any way, while I can understand what they might be feeling/why they're reacting in the way they are I still believe it's just so immature to be hateful online point blank. Even during a time where I still got upset with writers if they started doing something else I still never targeted that negativity directly to the writer and sending rude or hateful comments whether on anon or not never something i'd stooped low enough to do even when I still had an immature way of thinking, however, I hope that it might make it a little easier to brush them off if we try and understand what they're really upset about, and that they're just putting the blame for their negative feelings onto the wrong thing rather than coming to terms with change themselves.

hello anon!! i appreciate the long message. i do feel bad for people who have no interest in what i’m currently producing and i get that they feel upset about it; i’ve watched a lot of fellow jojo writers move on completely or just stop posting, honestly. this kind of thing is why i was so intense about asking people if it would be better if i made a separate blog but the resounding answer seemed to be ‘i’m just vibing with whatever happens and i’ll block tags as needed’. 

i often return to works by my favourite reader-insert writers who no longer write for the fandoms i like (and i read stuff bc it sounds interesting or i trust the person who writes it), but change can be difficult and i guess at this point i’ve - whether u like me or not lmao - been a fixture in jojo reader-insert tumblr for a While so it’s probably kind of jarring.

Naturally, you can’t please everyone and there will be people who are irrational and feel entitled to tell you what to do or what to write no matter what. Trust me when I say they’re a small minority and are more likely probably passing viewers rather than regulars. I check your blog about three or more times a day because I love reading not just your fics but also your takes, banter with other anons, or even random updates. Brainrot posts? LOVE TO SEE IT!!! Desk update? AMAZING!!! With that being said, don’t feel pressured to continue pushing out content for others. Write what makes you happy! You’ve been writing for JJBA for 4 years and it’s completely normal + healthy to get into new media. I’m not sure if it would mean much, but your love for JJK has gotten me excited to start it too!!

i do miss having a discord community bc it was nice to talk to everyone in real time but it was hard work, i am glad that people feel like they can just come into my askbox and gush! i’m not very friendly in real life and people tend to think i am cold and stuck up so i work very hard to try and seem friendly and approachable online, which is much easier for me because i get to think and re-draft before i type! <3

I think, unless it’s small obvious terms of endearment or things that are common in the fandom specifically, it’s always best to just write the dialogue and then describe it as being spoken in a different language. Or if the POV char doesn’t understand it, say that. Like: He spoke a random language, probably russian but hell if ___ could tell. Or: Then she started speaking rapid-fire spanish, and despite ____’s high school lesson’s she was really only able to pick out a word or two and not much else.

Fandoms: I haven’t been hugely invested in any for a while tbh. I had a loooong SW phase but now I’m back to hopping from this to that. currently I’m very into ASOIAF, but that’s because I’m listening to the audiobooks - I’m stretching it out because it’s one of my favourite fictional universes but once I’m done with the books I’ll move on to something else. more niche and french, the end of the wait for the Kaamelott movie is soon over (it’s only been twelve years) and the hype is very real

Two-shot: I don’t understand the question

Most popular multi-chapter: i heard your castle sighing, tho really it’s a three acts oneshot. I’ve never finished a real multi-chapter - I can’t plot for shit and I like playing with concepts and style and genre more anyway. I’m a short story person and one day I will make my peace with that.

Actual worst part of writing: stakes. who needs to finish anything in a timely manner I just like fucking around.

How you choose your titles: pretentiously. at worst the latin proverbs puns and opera libretti quotes kind of pretentiously. idk sometimes they sort of emerge as I write and I’m like ah yes this is obviously the title, and sometimes I just stare at my computer screen until I have an idea and then I pretend it’s a good one.

Do you outline: depends on what I’m writing and whether I feel like I need one. it’s not my favorite thing to do tho, so if I feel a timeline and story notes will do the job I go with that instead.

Ideas I probably won’t get around to but wouldn’t it be nice: everything of my wip folder? I’d like to finish the fic about Iroh and tea and imperialism. also the ASOIAF one about language and… huh. imperialism. I have a lot of material for side stories in the iceberg SW imperial verse but I’m unlikely to ever do anything with it. also NO there’s no running theme here not at all and I’ll prove it because if I had the chops for it I’d also do a post XM: Apocalypse epic feat. a three-way ideological struggle and no that one would not be about imperialism. well maybe a bit but only like. tangentially.

Best writing traits: idk synthesizing I guess? I’m good at putting a lot in a few words, and I’m also good with ambiguity and layered meanings. it’s good for short stories, not so for longform stuff.

Fandoms: currently just Rebelcaptain, three years now and counting. But I always only write for one fandom if I’m being honest, I cannot handle more at the same time. Plus when I find something I really love, I fixate on it for years, and nothing else comes close.

Most popular one-shot: both by kudos and comments, it’s you don't have to say i love you to say i love you which is funny because I wrote that really quickly as a silly little idea, and I never thought people would love it so much! 

Most popular multi-chapter fic: well going by kudos, it’s corellian rum but can you really call two chapters a multichapter? to me, it feels more like a oneshot separated in two parts... going by comments, it’s imaginary homelands which is not surprising because that’s four chapters and the longest “multichapter” I’ve written. I don’t really do multichapters tbh (though I really want to someday, but I don’t know if I have the capacity lmao)

Fic you were nervous to post: I could name a few here... definitely my very first one because entering the fandom is always nerve-wrecking! I was nervous about corellian rum too, or my most recent big bang soulmate au. but perhaps the one I was most nervous about was but we're still sleeping like we're lovers because it’s smut, plus it was pretty self-indulgent and I wasn’t sure if anyone else would be into it.

How you choose your titles: all my life, I used song lyrics, but for my past few stories, I tried something different. I don’t know what the hell snapped in me, but I feel like I don’t like lyrics titles anymore. so I guess I just try to find a phrase from the fic, or something that suits the theme, idk.

Do you outline: depends. for a longer story, absolutely! though I will probably deviate from it anyway. otherwise I just go for it, but even then I usually have an idea in my head of how I want things to do.

Complete: 24 complete works for Rebelcaptain! I mostly write oneshots so almost all of my stuff is complete

Favorite story I’ve written so far: probably sunshine riptide. i think it’s the most solid of all fics i’ve ever written and i genuinely enjoy rereading it. i probably peaked as a writer in the summer of 2019 lol

Fics you were nervous to post: all of them? but i guess the subject matter in said i’ll be fine in particular made me kinda nervous to post for reasons other than general “do i suck” nerves. cancer is something that needs to be written sensitively and with at least some degree of accuracy, so i was a little worried at first that i may make a mistake somewhere. i think i handled the fic well overall though.

How do you choose your titles: fob lyrics. forever and always fob lyrics. i wait til the end, trawl over fob’s discography for lyrics that fit, and viola.

Do you outline?: yeah, though it usually veers off somewhere else midway through the actual fic writing.

Complete: on ao3? 8 in all, but most of them are pretty lengthy so i’m quite proud of that number tbh. 

In progress: i just checked my gdocs and uhhh, i have at least a dozen wips in there, at various levels of completion.

i’ll be honest: 2020 was a shitty writing year for me. i spent a lot of time out of work but unable to use that time to get my brain to write anything. all i put out to ao3 was two chapters of said i’ll be fine (though i did thankfully finish that fic, which was nice). it’s something i’m still struggling with, but if i can just put stuff out there this year, that’ll be enough for me.

for now, and for a long time, i've been writing for bts. i've like always been a multi from the moment i got into kpop but i've never actually fleshed out any of the wips i had for any other groups LMFAO. honorable mentions are got7, skz, haikyuu yup

i used to never plan my fics, like at all. but then i was so unsatisfied with the flow of things and like idk lack of clarity. drivers license was the first time i actually sat down and planned out an entire fic as i was writing it. it rly does make things easier when u have an idea of what u want. and then just having the idea can help you possibly expand on it and get even better ideas off of it. the events of drivers license and the order it was all written in changed like 20394803 times. but yeah, does that make sense... LMFAO

7. one shot or multi-chapter?

one shots because i can never fucking get myself to finish a series. i love reading them tho

8. what is the perfect chapter length in your opinion?

no clue. i love long stories and slow burn tho, it's just so satisfying and $wag when it's well-written and the characters are well-written too.

the fic i'm about to post is nearing 20k, and it might even surpass that which will end up being the longest story on this blog. insane! drivers license is around 10k i think, and then if u combine the wnrs couple's fics it's like 15k? im too lazy to look tbh SRy

oh drivers license for sure! i don't think i've ever immersed myself and put so much effort into a story before. it was truly an amazing experience, and i just know that i'll probably never be able to write anything like that fic ever again. it's rly one of a kind for me.

most of the requests i had on this blog got taken down bc they were so bad. i'm not sure if the yoongi superhero!au is still up on here, but i'd choose that one since i really had to branch out of my writing style for it. regardless of it being like barely 2k.

miscommunication, so much banter, i used to see this a lot but i would take it out but... head bonking ??LSKDFJHAHA, my side characters being dumbasses and then my main characters being even bigger dumbasses (oc probably being the biggest dumbass)

during the course of writing the current fic i plan on posting this week, i created like 5 wips and they all hit 5k, and then i straight up abandoned them. and then the endless idea bank google doc. so if i count the wips i for sure want to finish by like this year or summer... like 3 or 4.

14. three things you have noticed about your own writing?

i feel like i repeat stuff a lot throughout all my stories LOL,, it irks me so bad. i think i relate to all my ocs in at least one way or another.
