My dearest witch, I come here with two very important questions about your E&A headcanon: when did Amelia realize that she’s in love with Dr. Terminator? When did Ethan realize that he’s in love with his Rookie? 👀❤️

For Amelia that was quite early. As I once told you, I HC her dating a guy named Daniel, which she met in the coffeeshop because she was trying very hard not to admit to herself she liked that stoic doctor. How very typical. Anyhow, after a while she started realising she wasn’t getting anywhere with Daniel for one sole reason only: she liked Ethan. That feeling of love really dawned on her during that visit to Miami. So there is that. (That also means she was utterly heartbroken when he left to the Amazon, miss girlie had her Virgo clown shoes on). 

As for Ethan… the man is complicated and I think I can say he would have rather jumped off a cliff than admit to himself that he liked/loved her for a while anyway KDKDKDKD.

It took Ethan a lot to realise he really loved Amelia. That is why, in my mind, I cannot really pinpoint one exact moment that he truly knew. I think it just oozed into his mind, despite him trying so hard to deny any feelings he had for her. There have been some moments where he wanted to say he loved her but he never did, because speaking those words out loud meant that they were really out there and from his experience that means it would do more harm than good. After they slept together and he went back to work, he really did try to push his love for Amelia aside so it would not interfere with anything. He definitely knew at that point he was in love and there was no point in denying it to himself, but again: with the entire situation going on he figured there was no use in telling her since, to him, there were no good endings for them. I HC he officially told her he loved her at the end of her second year (Book 3 does not exist to me, it’s down in hell), after all that had happened. Those situations, esp the attack, really showed him that this woman was the only one he truly cared for. To me it is important that he realises he has found the right person and that Amelia taught him that it was okay to love. She knows it took him a lot to actually say those three words out loud, so she really ensured him that she would love him forever.

You did not ask for this entire analysis and I am not even sure if I have even properly answered your question, but that’s what I have to offer💅🏻 Love you tons❤️❤️❤️

question for my fellow merthur compatriots, i recently started reading a merlin canon fix-it where merlin’s modern name was emrys hunithson, and like i love that name, touching, meaningful. but that and another post on this website has me thinking about the lovely alternatives merlin might use as his name in a modern world.

like yeah, he could go by merlin emrys, merlin hunithson, emrys hunithson

but imagine if he took up the last name pendragon.

1500 years pass and merlin’s traveling the world as merlin pendragon, as emrys pendragon or better yet

ambrose pendragon.

merlin signs all his contracts and credit card receipts with the name a. pendragon.

arthur and the rest of the roundtable + gwen + morgana return but can’t find merlin. WHY?

because they’re looking for the wrong name.

So I am pet sitting for two of my coworkers and its making think about things that I haven't thought about in a long time.

Growing up I had a different childhood compared to most of my friends. My parents were divorced (this is not the difference I mean although it is a difference) and I never lived in a real house. Until I was 15 I lived in a townhouse. So it was two stories two bedrooms 1.5 bath. Not necessarily small but nothing big either. But all of my friends grow up in an actual house. Even now I live in a studio apartment, which is way smaller than the townhome. So I never really got that "house" experience. Granted I did get that experience to an extent because my grandparents had a beautiful house that I went to all the time.

The point of mentioning pet sitting, is that it is making me realized what I missed out on growing up like I did. But it also makes me excited to own a house one day. Everyone talks about learning to heal your inner child and I truly believe that is one of the things that would help my inner child.

It's such a weird experience for me staying here, because of where I live now. I've lived there for almost 7 years. So I am used to always being in the living room/kitchen/bedroom. But staying at a real house is so different from a studio apartment.

Ghosts move… strangely. Almost cartoony or animated. They move as if they were animated on 1s and the rest of the world was animated on 2s. It’s just off putting for those who don’t have a trained eye, but for those who do can detect, something is fundamentally different about the ghost. Danny does his best to hide his ghostliness but no matter what he just can’t figure out how to move like a regular human.
