listen I have strong feelings about little marcia okay. I just think that she and silas had a lot in common; I hc that they were both young when they lost their fathers and she doesn’t have any siblings and his are so much older than him and while he has friends, I don’t really think they’re particularly close. they both live in the ramblings and don’t have a lot and idk I think they’d just kinda stick together reluctantly you know. no one else gets it. silas drags her around like an annoying little sister and marcia could choose not to go with him but she’s got nothing better to do than get him out of the trouble he gets them both into.

PLUS they both see alther as a father figure and I think they compete for his affection tbh.

I need to find it but I DO have a finished scene somewhere from a larger wip where they’re at zelda’s (during magyk) and they discuss alther and their childhoods but it quickly becomes an argument and zelda has to intervene. I just moved across the country though so it might take me a while to find it but I can try.

can't sleep (despite new meds + melatonin, boo), so I'm thinking about random shit. like: it's insane to me that I'm totally fine living on the ground floor now. it used to really freak me out. I hated being downstairs when we lived in a house. I always felt watched when I had my room on the ground floor. and every time I visited my dad at his ground floor apartment - where I was on my own except for maybe an hour a day - I had what I now know were panic attacks several times a day. so like, that's pretty crazy.

because, like, i'm sorry but nothing boston did or conceivably could do justifies mew obtaining the sex tape that was made of boston without boston's consent (that boston asked to be deleted which it never was) and then coming to his house unannounced to threaten boston in front of his father to show said sex tape to boston's father under the guise of "it's a short film"...and all that because boston slept with top while top and mew were together (The Betrayal as the characters call it - which yeah that was a shitty thing to do but damn that is one hell of an overreaction)? because boston is kind of a piece of shit? because boston likes to sleep around (the other characters are very judgy when it comes to that)? like what in the literal hell, and yeah, mew won't post it or show boston's father but that does not, in fact, give him the moral high ground 🙃

I snapped today at work, and by snapped I mean I politely commented on a help desk ticket by summing up an mess of an (type of) issue that's come up for at least the fourth time in the 2+ months I've been managing user accounts, and asked the person responsible to fix it (himself for once) because last time I fixed his mess-up it took me two whole days to work out the details with at least four other colleagues from different departments and I really don't want to do it again. there's other shit that needs doing, I've been working 10+ hour days for most of this week already, so I need to cut down not add on more.

(good thing tho - at least we managed to fix the issue where the dataset of a newer employee got mixed up with another one of the same name and therefore wasn't able to apply for any of the access/accounts she needed. technically not entirely my area but it does impact us not being allowed to create an account for her so I figured I might as well track that issue down. took three days and at least three other people, but hey - it should all work out now. yay for that)

Sanding progress going well :) I tried moving my dremel up and down at the smallest point and kind of carving away at the side and that helped a lot! I'm trying to keep the smaller clay bits but the bigger ones don't fit my vision so lol

someone with a phobia of cats commented on my nearly 6 year old post about me being baffled by someone who screamed at a cat saying i shouldn't care about peoples phobias. fair. i did tag it with the phobia. shouldnt have done that. i go to their blog and their yelling saying that tumblr is being ableist for using cat imagery on the site. okay i guess. although the cat is basically the internet mascot so its not any websites fault is a cat shows up. i scroll down a lil more.

Why do my thoughts always turn to mass shootings. Like i know why based on my personal history but like why do they even in completely unrelated situations. Of course i do in class (columbine & parkland & unc) and at the grocery store (boulder king soopers & buffalo dollar general) and at concerts (las vegas & manchester) and at bars (club q & pulse) and out shopping (the gang shootings at the mall by my house growing up) and at movie theaters (aurora) and at bowling alleys (lewiston) and when the mail people come by (personal example again) and at places of worship (charleston church & at this point several temples and several mosques)

But thats not too much and all these examples i came up with off the top of my head shouldnt be enough to ban all kinds of guns for everyone forever because were all fine right? The second ammendment protects us from so many things and is so useful
