Bellinitez fic idea I'm (obviously) not writing:

A few of months after the Conclave Innocent is fucking sick of Vatican; so he's decided to get dressed in regular clothes and get out from the Vatican through a secret passage just to get some fresh air; unfortunately for him, in the first bar he entered he run onto Aldo. Well, not immediately; he takes a drink and enjoys the vibe and someone's trying to ask him out but suddenly there's Aldo: "No, he's with me 😌 sorry dear I'm late", (sarcastically) kiss Vincent on the cheek while firmly grabbing his shoulder so he won't fall from bar chair and run away and Vincent thinks he's getting dragged back right now but instead Aldo just sits on the next chair and they talk for the longest time they ever talked yet;

Vincent is telling him how sick he's from the golden cage, how he's too used to live in dangerous palaces and doesn't really keep his celibacy vows because that's a way to feel alive, how Curia is getting on his nerves, half of them are looking at him as he's a saint, the other half wants to eat him alive, I guess thank you Aldo for not putting me on a pedestal and not trying to paint me antichrist? And Aldo is telling Vincent (that's the first time he's calling him Vincent), you're doing well, he's sorry for being suspicious and unwelcoming on the Conclave, how he felt relieved when Vincent became the Pope - thank God it's not Thomas, thank God it's not himself, how nicely Vincent told Tedesco off yesterday, how his attempt at disguise is so poor everyone's going to recognize him and Aldo will get him plain glasses and a hat.

So they're going for a walk after that because idk they have to get up early in the morning but Vincent still wants to have a few hours of relative freedom, like he's chaperoned by no one else but his Secretary of the State but he's surprisingly nice when no one is nagging on his nerves. "You've promised to get me a hat and glasses, are you going to keep an eye on me the next time?" Vincent asks, Aldo shrugs. Whatever. When they're going to part their ways finally, Aldo hugs Vincent, noticing he's shivering either from the morning cold or from whatever's going with his life, so Aldo kisses his forehead and Vincent looks at him with disappointed hungry eyes, so Aldo kisses him again, now in the corner of his mouth (plausible enough) and Vincent picked up the hint and kissed him back. Not the worst night, Vincent thinks. Maybe he deserved to feel like he's still a human sometime; maybe it's actually not a bad idea if Aldo will decide to join him next time.

vampires are so cool because one of their abilities is having their senses heightened to an almost unnatural degree - I want a reader who has that same ability, but I don't want them to be a vampire, just super skilled with their senses - how would a reader who's not a vampire have heightened senses? idk,,, what type of humans have heightened senses? - ...blind ppl (💀) have heightened senses cuz they can't see, so they have to rely on the other five to get by (because I believe in sixth senses lol)... crazy connetion, but it's true💀 - LOL imagine remmick and reader going sense for sense fr tho.

okay hear me out… I know hockey romances have had their moment in the sun and there’s a gazillion of them out there. and don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy a good “brain off” low stakes modern rom com type book occasionally, but this is… not that.

I’m tempted to say it’s less romance and more like. my main two characters unpacking their similar but different trauma together and starting to recover. but there’s some sex in there too for good measure.

the tldr: FMC is a burnt-out retired Olympic figure skater, who is now cheerleading for her brother’s hockey team and teaching learn to skate classes at their rink. MMC is the new guy on the team, moved here from Germany with no family around so they end up hanging out a lot. he is slowly hatching a plan to build her confidence again and get her back into competition because he knows she can do much more than her current job, and that she would be so much happier there. but of course she retired so early for a reason… hehe

I know social media being in a book gives people the ick sometimes, but as their story revolves around news media and fandom interactions, I want to do something similar to how RY has quotes at the beginning of every chapter, and also include some text messages and parts of news articles about the team, especially for FMC’s brother’s book (which will be an mlm romance with a lot of chronic illness representation 🫶🏻)

this is actually where the girlfriendverse idea started — I have a large cast of couples that interact a lot, and each have their own document with their storylines. I’m trying to pick which gfverse couple these two are most like… idk. but MMC is kinda giving Dain and also Brennan in terms of his family dynamics, though he’s very Liam-coded physically and in terms of his sweet personality 💔

Yusaku is dead fr there is no Toichi-faking-it nonsense going on

He was killed for something written in his one of his manuscripts? maybe? unpublished/ only one copy work that was stolen? Shinichi steals documents mainly instead of jewels? Ends up uncovering a lot of corruption in the city that way?? Workshop idea idk yet

Yukiko is alive still?? Missing maybe

Like the Night Baron in the book, he will kill if he feels he has to, and therefore has less of a positive reputation than Kaito Kid (still has a fan club though, of course)

Unlike Kaito who had a real-life figure to follow and model himself after, Shinichi only has what his father wrote, and therefore has to come up with and improvise several things about his persona on his own (main weapons, changing + designing his mask, signature, etc)

The pen-knife is in reference to Yusaku's writer profession, and also a spin on "the pen is mightier than the sword"

He has other tools I just haven't worked those out yet

Doesn't always write in codes but tries to incorporate them into his heists somehow

Kaito isn't entirely a detective he just wants to be a magician but somehow just happens to keep solving crimes (not sure who's shrinking in this AU if either of them)

write them out a document or make a slideshow telling them parts of human culture you find interesting! if they aren't that familiar, maybe you could also explain slang to them.

you totally should read up on what sorts of parts and code that are needed to make robots.

to add to this, if your robot f/o uses an llm to speak to you (bc I'm sure there are fictional robots that use like... the power of magic to communicate idk) maybe look into some llm's you think they use!

if your s/i has the ability to "work on" or change robot parts and things, if your f/o is the type to enjoy something like that, make a list of "upgrades" you think would suit them (jetpack upgrade??? super crazy blasters??? machine gun ??????)

if your robot doesn't understand humor or sarcasm, teach them! (silly robot puns ?! one could say y'all are wire-crossed lovers)

imagine taking them out places, especially places they know nothing about. of course, if they're sensitive to water you'd want to avoid, like, water parks.

if your f/o has an endless stream of knowledge at their fingertips they can access, maybe you can make a list of things that they enjoy the most.

if they do not have something like that, you could teach them something you like doing! art, creative writing, playing music, cooking, things like that!

do they have a favorite lubricant for their screws? do they love or hate WD-40? if they don't, you could always look into different kinds of oils to try!

if they have a charger, imagine decorating it! assuming it wouldn't get too hot, you could make a little collage of stickers you could put on it (picsart as tons of stickers you can look up and make a collage out of)

(ik a default to this all the time) but making "mechanical" jewelry. bracelets with gear and screw and bolt charms, honestly you literally could drill little tiny holes into washers and make them into a bracelet (or braid thread around them)

i write internal software documentation which means it's architectural, high-level design stuff... not so much code-specific, but the reasoning behind why software components are organized the way they are. it's not very fun, mostly mind-melting... i work closely w engineers and it's kind of a toss-up whether they'll be nice/patient or think i'm stupid lol

but my brain now contains so many company secrets :^) if you ever have any questions about data storage/virtualization i can possibly help lol

funny story—i applied for grad school, and i've been accepted to an english m.a. program that starts this fall!!! 🥹 we'll see where i go w that, but i'll likely enter education!

collections: I use this every-fucking-where. Gotta have my HashSet, gotta have by BTreeMap. You know it

future: Love writing futures, love constraining futures, love all of that. And I gotta have that Future trait.

iter: Literally #1 - fucking love my iterations, wish I could write literally everything as an Iterator

option: Option is so fundamental. So many helper methods on it as well, beautiful functionality

ptr: If you’ve ever written complex ffi bindings or collections replacements, you know what I mean. The documentation is phenomenal and only getting better, the provenance projects are making it even even better.

result: Same rationale as option

sync: Arc my beloved. Also channels, mutexes, RwLocks, Atomics, etc, are all so important. Can’t do anything in multi-threaded code without using at least one of them.

vec: We all love Vec. I don’t think I need to explain myself.

array: Manipulating arrays is very nice and good and useful, I just don’t don’t do it enough to put this in S

boxed: Love Box! Really nice and useful. Not something you’ll use in your every-day rust app, though, you only start using it once you’re really getting into the weeds or interacting with futures outside of async/await

cell: Very important to a lot of underlying abstractions in Rust, but just not something most people will really ever use (at least in my experience)

cmp: Useful utilities. Love the way they’re integrated with the langauge operators. V cool.

convert: Also useful! Love my (Try)?(From|Into)

default: Useful sometimes, but I feel like it’s abused occasionally. Also not a fan of seeing Default::default() where someone could’ve used the type name

fs: Gotta interact with a filesystem. Just feel like most rust apps spend most of their time not interacting with a filesystem.

marker: Very important, but most people won’t be interacting with these again.

mem: Love these, very useful, but mostly only useful for specific scenarios.

ops: Hugely important as well, obviously, but most people won’t ever actually manually access this module.

slice: Love manipulating slices - getting chunks, windows

borrow: Love Cow, but the whole Borrow vs AsRef thing still confuses me. I understand how they’re different, but I don’t quite understand the historical and tehcnical reasons for it, and feel like there could’ve been a better solution found to avoid this.

arch: Cool and such, but rarely used and a lot of the coolest stuff (portable simd) is still experimental and I rely on it a lot for performance reasons and really want it to stabilize soon.

error: std::error::Error. Woohoo

fmt: Nifty and such. It’s just kinda boring in comparison to all the other cool language features that exist in the standard library.

io: Cool, I guess. I just rarely every use it directly, I guess. And I am also kinda annoyed that AsyncRead and AsyncWrite aren’t things but also I think that the Async variants of traits could be avoided if people wrote more libraries in the sans-io style, so idk

panic: Mmm. I’m glad that the language provides a way for you to clean up during a panic, but I am personally really annoyed that panics are, in the end, recoverable. Irks me.

path: Path and PathBuf woohoo. Also tho such a pity that this module has to be a lot more complex due to windows backwards path separator bullshit. ugh

rc: Rc. Woohoo. I don’t like Rc much personally, I’ve written a lot of code in Rust and I’ve yet to encounter a scenario where I think “This situation could be solved or even helped by an Rc!”. But I understand its uses I guess.

str and String: Useful, yeah, but I’ll always be a bit pissed that they didn’t call them String and StringBuf instead (like they did with Path and PathBuf). Causes way too much confusion to early-on rust users

task: Useful, but I don’t get why they aren’t in future instead. Like, I guess they are used for streams and such, but still.

time: Fine… I guess it’s useful for people to be able to measure elapsed durations for logging and such and easy benchmarking but I just have a natural, deep-seated fear of any computer code that tries to interact with time as a concept so I’m very leery of this.

any: Mmmmmm I know it’s useful but I kinda hate that dyn Any is a thing you can do. It should (hopefully) become somewhat less prevalent now that trait upcasting is stabilized, though.

env: Used to be higher, but the whole ‘Linux makes no guarantees about accessing the environment from multiple threads’ thing irks me. I know it’s not Rust’s fault, but I’m still punishing them for it.

ffi: Confuses me that there’s so much duplication between this and os::raw - don’t like it. I know it doesn’t really matter which one you use, but whatever.

hash: Rarely actually interact with it directly. I know that it has to exist to facilitate (Hash|BTree)(Map|Set) but I don’t know what other use it has

net: Nearly all the time that I want to interact with stuff like TcpStream, I would rather use some async-specific net structs, such as are found in tokio.

num: Useful and cool, but I really think that this is seriously missing the traits from the num crate. There’s probably some specific reason why they don’t want to provide this, but the ability to reason around numeric attributes would be so useful.

os: OsStr and OsString suffer from the same sin as str vs String, but also are just inherently confusing due to the complexity that surrounds file paths in different OSes. I know that rust just surfaces all this complexity that hides beneath the surface but that doesn’t keep me from feeling like there was probably some better way to set up these structs

thread: Rarely do I spawn a thread manually - generally I want to use tokio or rayon or crossbeam or something like that. Good and useful, just rarely reached to and generally you’d be better off touching something else

backtrace: Good for one thing alone, which can be nice for quick and easy debugging, but if you just want a backtrace, a panic!() is easier, and if you can’t do that for whatever reason, you should probably just reach for a full debugger at that point

hint: Just like compiler fuckery. Love it, I do, but rarely do people interact with it, if ever, and really only useful for benchmarks and low-level atomic stuff (which, when I’ve done that, idk if I’ve even seen any sort of performance gains from spin_loop() sooo)

pin: Yes it’s important, but the constant struggle to make it not horrible to use for library developers really irks me. Still no way to (safely) match on pinned enums, no built-in pin projection without macros, etc. Ugh.

char: Too many weird things here. Why does to_lowercase return an iterator? Why are these constants not in the primitive type instead? The whole escape stuff also feels arbitrary, and that’s part of the sin of the ascii mod.

f32 and f64: Everything here should be relegated to the primitive types. No need for these. Why are the integer types deprecated while this one isn’t? idk

clip studio paint is driving me up a wall

do you use clip studio paint on windows? are you fucking tired of running out of storage space because you download a lot of materials and brushes? are your materials files stuck on your local c drive and you don't know how to move it?

making this tutorial because for some reason all other tutorials miss what you're supposed to do after changing the directory. btw, i use windows. fuck ya macos (i don't know how to help you guys)

close all clip studio programs and go to clip studio

2. go to the settings icon in the top right corner and hover over it. click on location of materials (p)

remember the address of the current location of materials.

3. create a new folder in your alternate drive/storage space. do not add anything in it. do not copy anything in it. simply write that new folder's address in here. click save changes.

now if you're like me and downloaded a ton of stuff, it's gonna take a while to load. it's transferring your document and material folders over. let it run. when it's complete, acknowledge and accept the popup.

4. CRUCIAL: after this step, delete the old "Document" and "Material" folders from the old directory (the address you memorized) (likely located in some address that has AppData (newer versions) in it or Documents (older versions)) (if you can't find this, turn hidden folders on in file explorer, AppData is a hidden folder).

when you try to exit out of this clip studio instance, it will also remind you to remove old files before closing the application. do NOT delete the CLIPStudioCommon folder. LEAVE the DB and other folders there.

5. after deleting the old folders, exit out of the clip studio instance. and you're done.

now you should enjoy like, a good 10 more gb of storage. at least for me. i'm enjoying that. also i use csp latest version 1 version (like 1.13 something idk) (i'll upgrade when they give me a free upgrade).

i forget if this is available for earlier versions but i did migrate csp across devices a lot, and that was a bunch of manually copying folders, which won't work for transferring between drives like this tutorial.

by the way if you're doing something like manually copying full folders over (like the old method of transferring csp between devices), you may find that your materials/organization structure is gone. you can go through clip studio and run both "Organize Materials" and "Organize Material Folders" to restore them to that tab in clip studio paint. at least when i was fucking around trying to find out how to put my materials on a different drive, i went through several iterations of backing up and copying back over 13.4 gb of data because i'd mess up One step.

disclaimer: i have not tried downloading new materials yet. i swear to fucking god they better download in my other drive. i am sick and tired of running out of storage. imagine being an engineer debugging code and then files on your computer start to disappear because your C drive ran out of space. happened to me!!!

no i don't know what will happen if you try to put these materials folders on a flashdrive. i think that's an "external drive" and there's some warning for that in the middle of this process. i feel like there's nothing wrong with that so long as you always plug that drive in when you use clip studio products or CSP at least.

if you encounter problems in the middle of this, i don't know how to solve them. i saw some people encounter problems when transferring the data over after changing the address and i don't know where their issues were (this issue seems to be because they installed CSP on D). this seems to be an article summarizing transferring csp across devices (both cloud and the old manual way)

my theory is that the DB folders are like a "database" that holds addresses towards those files and therefore need to stay in the C drive for. some godawful reason. i think i tried installing csp on my D drive before, but it would automatically create a new folder in users/documents in my C drive (in older versions).

after weakly changing this directory and not giving a shit for a while (idk when updates come out. it must've been a year or a few), they changed this address to Users/AppData/somethign/blah blah

i spend too much time trying to manage storage on my computer it's not healthy. anyways kudos to treesize the program for telling me that this entire time clip studio paint fucking updated and changed my meticulous structure to place files in places where there's space to it's shit default structure.

for most of my career i've worked in api documentation, so i was in the engineering team. when applying for a new job, i used samples that dealt with code as proof that i could work in that environment. most writers don't have any engineering or software experience whatsoever and companies are sometimes apprehensive to take on someone with zero understanding of code; if you can show that you do understand it (or even better, code something for real... i also included coding projects with my resume) you'll likely get a lot more interest

if you aren't interested in working in tech/eng at all, i don't know if i can help much. i guess just try to include a big variety of examples so they know you aren't too fixated on one type of writing. the job market is really difficult for people without specialized skills though, if you're fixated on this career i'd recommend finding a specific field you want to work in (software, mech eng, biomed, etc.) and then tailoring your technical skills for that. a jack of all trades type often isn't useful for companies that only deal with one thing (which is most companies that aren't massive conglomerates)

Yes! I have several WIPs that I’m focusing on at the moment. However, I’m pretty discouraged at the moment and I really might just throw all my microsoft word documents in the trash bin. But here are all the stories I have half-written or almost finished. A lot of my favorite writers have written beautiful stories and they wrote things that I was thinking of writing but didn’t publish yet so now I feel rude to publish it, know what I mean? I don’t want anything to think I copied them and they will write it so much better than I would anyways. For example, I think my vampire Jace fic was ass and it bombed. I see amazing authors planning vampire Jace fics and in my head I’m like “They ae going to write that trope so much better than me”.

Plus I submitted some little drabbles in my favorite’s ask boxes that I was thinking of making full stories and I realize now that in tumblr fanfic etiquette, that is rude. I was just trying to entertain people. IDK I just feel like i screwed up a few months ago when I got back into HOTD. ets log: rec(Obsession.lov) Part [2]: Eden(Love) manages to recover her Obsession code successfully, as it's become her only reason for living. She continues trying to hold onto the code without it being found and removed again, while also obeying ETS's tests so she can get outside the facility and start looking for Marcus again.

Part [3] will be her excursions outside, mostly about clubs and parties she goes to between her work (which I'm making that she has to find a proper "opening" or something to the Meridian). ETS allows her to have fun so she can learn better how to blend in with people, but truthfully, she's gathering info about Marcus's wherabouts.

Untitled: A brief drabble that takes place during Inversion: Another Story about how Chelsie is glad Kody got kicked out so he wouldn't have to be in that situation.

Untitled: Kody is talking with his therapist about people can be burdened with grief even without the physical death of another.

A Clearing in the Algae: An update on Chelsie and Kody, and how things are starting to get better for them.

Imperium Willow(Darlin'): I admittedly forgot why I wanted to write this oops- Willow manages to survive this AU, and swears revenge after holding David's lifeless body in her arms.

Aftershock: Another Lament: I still want to work on this okay- But just for fun, I'll briefly list the parts I had in mind for it:

P1 - Angel: How Angel is doing after hearing about David's death. Will end with Milo and Chrys(Sweetheart) trying to reach her so she's not alone.

P2 - Alpha: Asher is having nightmares, and he and Emmanuel(Baabe) talk about Asher's becoming Alpha, and how he would rather have David back.

P3 - Sire: An update on Vincent and Gracie(Lovely). Will end vaguely in order to branch off with the person they chose to let Vincent turn.

P4 - The 69: Huxley was chosen to be reborn in Route 1. After being greeted by Vincent, Lasko (wearing an eyepatch) and Damien (in a wheelchair) enter to check on him. They discuss what happened and grieve their losses, while also including the fact that Gavin returned to Aria for an undetermined amount of time.

P5 - Detective: Milo is having nightmares about being outside the ward watching people die. Chrys tries to reassure him, and they continue into talk about the investigation. Chrys is on leave do to their motorcycle injury, but has received a promotion due to their work during the Inversion.

P6 - Healer: Willow joins Sam alone on a rooftop to reflect on the Inversion. She asks about how the kids are doing, and Sam provides updates. He also mentions that D.A.M.N. is now extremely shortstaffed, but they're having a flood of people wanting to study healing, and they've offered him a job knowing he's very skilled in that area. Willow thinks he should accept the offer, but he's not sure if teaching is what he wants to do.

P7 - The Freelancer: Cora was chosen to be reborn in Route 2. After being greeted by Vincent, Gavin and Caelum enter to check on her. They discuss what happened, including Lasko and Damien being in the hospital, and grieve their losses.

P8 - Dreamer: To end the series, we cut to Jessi(Blake's Listener) and Blake out on a date. Blake basically goes "uhuhu according to keikaku" while Jessi has no clue that her bf is a psycho.

Pending P? - Sister: This was a bonus chapter I've already sorta decided to pull, but it was going to purely revolve around my Blake's Sister OC Ava, and her feelings about this new case opening up as a result of the Invesion. This includes the police chief asking her (probably offscreen) if she'll be able to handle a case that involves her sibling, and revealing to Kieran (maybe Chrys on call) that the dreamwalker that interfered may be her brother. She reveals to them that while the two had a tense relationship growing up, and haven't spoken in years, she still loves her brother as a family member and may find it difficult to combat him.

Kody Redemption P?: Maybe or maybe not a part where Chelsie goes to get her things back from her ex, but he tricks her into getting her alone so he can hurt her. Chelsie manages to reach Kody and in a very melodramatic fashion, Kody goes fisticuffs with her ex. He somehow gets out of it less harmed than Chelsie is, so she ends up in the hospital longer. This will be the second time she meets Damien, who will now be in a wheelchair.

Kody Redemption P?: I did want to include somewhere that he started going back to college somewhere else and met a cute and sweet girl that he likes and likes him back. It will also touch on how he slips back into his bad habits of stalking and possessiveness, but whether he stops talking to the girl or forces himself to correct his behaviours, I haven't decided yet.

Quinn Arc Shorts [My Ver]: I did intend once upon a time to fill in some of those blanks that Yours in Eternity, My Dearest had about what was going on with Quinn, but I'm not sure I have the desire to anymore honestly. I still have the spot reserved for it tho.

Hi it's evillous AU anon again!! Now i've got time and it's not 11pm so I'm going to try and dump all my thoughts on it in your askbox >:D I started conceptualizing this while the election arc was still ongoing and something i've learned is that it's really difficult to make a complicated au of a story with characters that are constantly developing. several times i've assigned characters to one role only for the literal next day have a new plotline start that makes them fit a different role so much better and then i have to change everything around again. So this is 100% going to be outdated in like a week tops lmao. I've also taken a lot of liberties with things like who reincarnates into who and what order some events happen in, so it doesn't 100% fit the structure of either story. For reference i leaned toward making the relationships line up more with the QSMP storyline rather than evillous canon and its still heavily a WIP so things are going to be changed around a lot probably even while im writing this ask. I put a lot of thought into how the original sin arc would go in this au and there's a lot of details to it so to shorten it just a little bit i'll just explain that the federation serves as an overarching force/government/scientists thing throughout the entire story. they're conducting an experiment on the islanders where they're stuck in a cycle of reincarnation for 1000 years and their lives are going to be extensively documented to see what changes about them and how their society develops. The seven sins are something dropped into the world by the codes in order to mess with said experiment rather than being created by one person's soul like in the original story because tbh i hated that. I put ElQ in the role of Irina and Bad in the role of Elluka. I think they fit really well because I can then interpret The Song I Heard Somewhere as ElQ vowing revenge on Bad for assassinating him (in canon, at least. for AU purposes he kills all the other election candidates and wins) and Bad REALLY fits the role of the morally grey immortal whos creation is marked by a catastrophic event that destroys a whole civilization and they carry the guilt of that for their entire lives. As for the sinners themselves I haven't entirely figured them out yet? but for a couple of them i've got really detailed thoughts. For reference I also made it so each of them can reincarnate as many times as needed even if they've contracted with a sin before because I didn't want to remove characters from the story entirely. so: - Lust: I have no idea who i'm even going to begin to put into this role but the most likely candidate would be Pierre i think because of the whole bed thing? - Gluttony: I had Cellbit as this because of the whole cannibalism history thing he's got but other than that I hadn't really thought about it too much. I am sad to report however that the more BBH talks about eating living beings and inedible things he may fit better. it'd also be funny for the immortal assigned the task of gathering the sins to be the demon of gluttony itself. - Pride: tbh this one is pretty difficult to assign a role to because of how specific the original arc is and how it technically involves two characters. It's not something I could've put many characters in without really mischaracterizing them and I was thinking my best bet was probably Forever but then the happy pills happened and there's no way i could've not made him sloth. So my most recent idea was to change the pride story almost entirely and put Pac in the role? But more in the sense of 'two criminals are always fucking things up for the federation get a bit too cocky and have a warrant out for their arrest, Mike getting Pac to flee and as the feds are able to get at least one of them they're like "eh fuck it watching as your platonic soulmate dies is good enough torment for the other one."' but also idk. And hum lust is a difficult one to pin down, especially cause like there is not many people I can see going the Duke Venomania route and having a fucking harem? Trying to remember who I saw being attacked by the lust mob more than once in the server and I think it was Bad (he really is Elluka hum, constantly finding sins left and right)

I think that Forever could fit well on pride actually, he is not like Rilliane was of course, but he is prideful in a way. Waiting to be the best president he can and not really accepting that sometimes his ways could be wrong.

I work in IT part-time and am a CS major going into software engineering. I consider myself an incredibly patient person that's pretty slow to anger, and am down to sit down and figure out a problem for hours.

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, makes me angrier than tech issues.

If you don't have a love-hate relationship with computers in that position, idk how you cope. There's something about literally banging your head again your keyboard trying to figure out what the fuck is going wrong that humbles a woman, and nothing as utterly infuriating as this box of wires and binary sits unmoving, uncaring in front of you, but yet still taunting you.

The worst is when it was your fault. You installed something wrong, the logic of your code was off, or maybe you simply mistyped. No matter. It laughs at you all the same. Laughing at you from the intangible network of code and microprocessors that comprises its being. Even though its body and brain have been charted out, true understanding takes decades, almost as a doctor to the human form. Even then, the human body stays relatively the same. Diagnosis is difficult for both, yes, and gaps of knowledge remaining for each, but the being of a computer will remain alien. Compact forms that are neat and tidy. Boxes the size of dogs and heavy as one too. Server farms with sprawling tentacles. I work with the wifi and ethernet for my job, and the data closets that hold the switches look less like machines, and more like a plant that has rooted and infested the entire building with its vines.

Each machine is different, and they don't stop multiplying and evolving, forever changing, faster than we are able to comprehend. The body and brain evolve at speeds unheard of, blueprints and documentation unable to keep up. Linguistics shift, forms morph, it ingrains itself so deeply into our lives and yet we still struggle to understand it and the problems they bring us.

I'm working on a project now. Refurbishing an old Android app so that it can be used once more. The old developer isn't with the company anymore, and he neglected to write any documentation. It seemed simple enough: just fix it up. It just took in forms, and allowed the user to fill out the info. Simple enough. The thing to remember is complexity to you and to a machine are two different things. Your interaction may be simple, but that's because the support structure you have is already there, your brain hardwired to learn. The computer requires more, something more akin to neurosurgery, if you will, to add the necessary abilities to its routine. And so much must be added.

Folders in folders. Files thousands of lines long. Errors and warnings popping up in the interpreter. Depreciated. Unsupported. Code hopeless out of date yet ingratiated so deeply as if a tumor. This was all written less than a decade ago. Evolution, as I said. Routines pointing to methods pointing to classes as the logic wove and intertwined, and I remain helpless to untangle it. I spend hours reading through, trying to understand, and researching how to bring this back to life, and for every file I open, the deeper the program runs and deeper the pit in my stomach drops.

The one problem with the neurosurgery comparison is there is an implication of precision. Measured, delicate cuts with the steadiest of hands. That's not what coding is. No, coding is more like a lobotomy. An unethical experiment. You can plan. You can try to plan meticulously, but breaking shit and flinging mud at the wall to see what sticks is and will remain a fundamental part of the process. march is over. winter is over and spring is here. i was walking back to my place and i noticed that there were some flowers blossoming right along the rsf. they were just there vibrant asf. i was thinking why am i lowk really into seeing monthly recaps? idk cus like they really are markers for where u are in your life. and sure, i knew that ofc but like looking back to my "documented" thoughts are beautiful to me. i confuse myself; this is so stream of consciousness (im so jodi picoult coded, nah tbh def more sylvia plath coded unfortunately.). a very feminine way of writing. thinking back to when my therapist told me that i am 25:75 masculine:feminine. sometimes it feels like i have two wolves inside me. haha jk. human emotions are so weird. i think its so funny that human is an adjective. i remember my ap lit teacher had an issue with something abt the word human. i wish i could remember what it was. i hope ms. goodwin is doing well. march was so funny i think. i was thinking back to the start of this month. i went to the mom jeans concert w b and k (im not fully name dropping ok) and that was just so funny how everything came about. that night was funny and everything else just unfolded after. im learning so much about myself and my human emotions like never before. critical thinking is a must now i suppose. right now im super obsessed with a couple of things. all ive been able to listen to is the sorry mom ep called juno goes to the big house and dazey and the scouts' album, maggot. i think this obsession will continue for a bit thru april. my top song of the month was te quiero por hombres g. ive been hella corny but that song is so good. ive been listening to a lot of music in spanish now. i think it makes me feel closer to my parents. rn i've been really into the idea of kafkaesque. imma try to read more kafka when i have a month of summer vacation we'll see tho. oooh and also mercury retrograde has been on my mind but just superficially. tho, sometimes, it feels all too good for everything to be a coincidence ykwim. i feel like ive been most leaning into the thought that nothing is coincidence. is that a crazy thought? lets see where i am next month... currently writing this at the steps of the campanile facing the golden gate bridge (i feel like ldr in that specific audio) i guess this is where i am meant to be.

I… don’t know if this is the right place to talk about this? But, well. My girlfriend is at work and can’t respond right now, and I don’t have a huge friend group irl, mostly work friends I’m not super close to and my family. But I really need to run this idea by somebody and get feedback, so I figured you guys may have some feedback to give me? Idk.

Anyway. I recently started working at a call center, and I’ve been getting a few comments here and there about people saying I should do voiceovers or something. Which, I mean, I try not to take too seriously. But I’ve also really wanted to do YouTube or Twitch or something, and I’ve toyed with the idea of being a Vtuber before. I think I might have finally put together my ideas and passions enough to find a niche, though.

I love mystery and crime. Which… might not be super surprising considering I partially write about Batman, and that’s likely what you guys follow me for. I’ve always been a huge crime and mystery junkie, but true crime on YouTube (in my opinion) and stuff gets too invasive and sometimes even insensitive for me to consider it for myself. That’s just me. But, well… I also recently got super into Hunt a Killer, which if you don’t know is a murder mystery game company.

If you have ever played Hunt A Killer, you’ll know that their games involve a lot of reading. It’s fashioned to be like real investigations, so there are a lot of witness testimonies, case descriptions, and other documents that you have to read word for word in order to get to the clues you need. I don’t mind it myself, I can breeze through thousands of words of reading on any old day. But it can be hard for some people to maybe maintain focus that long, or maybe it’s physically hard for them to read so much printed wording. Or, even, maybe people just want to listen to it or find it easier to pick out important details if they have a narration to read along to.

This brings my question; I have some minor experience with video and audio editing. If I started a channel narrating Hunt a Killer mystery games, with one video as spoiler-free narration of the included materials, one video explaining the significance of each piece of evidence and how to solve codes, and one video giving the solution and breaking down how to get to that conclusion… is that a good idea? Is it something you’d be interested in watching, or know someone else who may like watching it?
