She'd been so caught up working she hadn't realized she was no longer alone, the surprise catching her in a weird position. Although she knew no one was trying to hurt her, or was attacking her because the presence was familiar, the surprise itself almost made her panic. It took a lot for her to not completely freeze up at the action, she took a small breath as she centered herself. "You scared me" she admitted after a moment, knowing he might understand the reaction.

Jonah had a difficult time deciding what was his favorite holiday, but Christmas certainly had to be high on the list for his favorite time of the year. It wasn’t hard to get him in a good mood on any given day, but the holiday cheer certainly got to him each time, and the Haus really had gone all out to get their employees and clients in the mood for a nicely naughty Christmas time. From stockings and decorations to candy canes and mistletoe, the whole place was festive, which felt like an odd (but somehow still functioning) mix of holiday cheer and the usual seductive vibes of the brothel.

“You know”, he mused, turning to the other man after admiring the decorations on the wall. “I really have a hard time figuring out if I’ve been nice or naughty this year.” He couldn’t help but chuckle, though somehow the experience of working at the Haus really did seem to influence him in ways he had not expected. Not that he’d been prude before this place, but there certainly were new sides to Jonah that he only recently began to explore. “I’ve always thought I make it onto Santa’s nice list”, he mused, his tone playfully teasing. “But I can’t deny I have been a bit naughty since coming to work here, too.” Smiling, he stepped up to the other, looking him over. “What do you think? How do you like me better? Naughty, or a good boy?”

When Phantom joined the Justice League, he wasn’t prepared to be approached by Batman of all people. He had been warned to not take everything Batman says to you personally, but that he was a great hero.

Batman had a request. A simple one, at least according to Batman. He asked Phantom to meet an anti-hero who had come back from the dead and had some … nasty side effects.

Phantom, intrigued, agreed. Batman set a time and place, and Phantom showed up. But, Phantom thought Batman had said the one in the red helmet was the undead.

He doesn’t understand why everyone freaks out when Phantom approaches the vigilante with half a cowl dressed in black and red. This boy reeked of death, did Batman seriously not know?

fiber arts really is such an insane category of Things in how it can draw you in. like, 6 or 7 years ago i learnt to crochet and made a few terrible hats and scarves. then i learnt to knit because i wanted to knit a scarf for my friend (now fiance :D). then i realized it should be a woven scarf so i picked up weaving instead, but i still really liked knitting so now i was doing 3 crafts. somewhere along the way i started dyeing yarn as part of my kitchen experiments, and then i was like fuck it i wanna make my own yarn ! and that is where the problems happened. in the span of like 5 years ive acquired like $2000 of various tools (spinning wheel, combs, cards, blending board, several looms, etc), bought dozens of fleeces, and now my bedroom is basically a craft room with a bed, i have wool covering every flat surface in there as well as a huge dresser full of wool and several large drawers full of wool, i meticulously scrape every last bit of avocado out of the peel so i can use it to dye fleece, and i don’t go anywhere (including in my own house) without at least 2 knitting projects and a spindle.

im not complaining or anything, but the rapid shift from ‘guy who does stuff, idk’ to ‘guy who is worryingly obsessed with wool and will infodump at length about medieval sheep husbandry and the history of nettle as a textile if you give him half a chance’ is like. extremely funny to me.
