I know how close you all are and I actually feel really terrible for plucking her away from you, from her familiarities and her routines and her people. I know it was her own decision and that she really wants this, despite feeling a little torn too. If I could, I would have us live closer to you all. ok it seems dream has slowed down or went to cry himself to sleep or something idk but now im gonna try n chronicle this shit as unbiasedly as i can. but whoooooa baby

anyways. it started when Nicolas Cantu (yes yes junkyjanker gumball voice actor) was replying to the dream parody account, dreamwastalen.

(also yes he knew it was a parody acct dude said he was roleplaying lmao)

Dream qrted the 'you can't joke when u an actual pedophile' tweet essentially saying that cantu is a horrible person, accusing him of assaulting dream, treating an uber driver horribly, and that he was saying the r word and being racist. Also says cantu apologized to dream on twitter by blaming it on alcohol and weed.

nicolas qrts, saying 'yes i slapboxed you in front of the hoes', confirming he mistreated an uber driver and said he tipped the driver well after and has been handling his drinking, says he called dream 'fat and a predator'. Nicolas denies being racist. He ends it with "hire a harvard professor to calculate why despite texting every twitch streamer in austin not a single one wanted to fuck you."

also in a qrt to a now private account that basically said 'dream reaching out to streamers doesnt mean he wanted to fuck them' nicolas said dream was sending streamers dick pics.

dream replies saying that nicolas didnt even tip and with screenshots of the dms nicolas had sent him apologizing. The dm is a massive text of paragraph . In an attempt to summarize it is essentially cantu apologizing for hitting dream n that he was out of line, mentioning he was drinking and high, that he thought dream would be an asshole but says he is 'humble, grounded and decent', that he relates to the pressure/discourse around having to deal w fame and havin a lot of influence at a young age, and also that he doesnt know who is and isnt lying w the allegations but he knows having lies n rumours spread bout u sucks.

worth noting im not sure when this message took place so I cant say if its extremely recent, but later dream i believe mentions it having to do with the latest twitchcon. idk [edit: looking ahead robbo mentioned this happened months ago]

Another contender, robbo, comes in saying he was there and that dream was slapped for calling a girl they are friends with a whore. They technically recant this accusation, saying they mixed the cantu slap up with another event that took place at twitchcon, but they continue to claim dream did this.

dream qrts this saying robbo 'wasnt even in the same state' at the time, that he doesnt know who robbo is, that he doesnt go around harassing women and accuses robbo of upholding the benevolent sexism trope of women being weak and needing to be protected by men.

Nicolas cantu makes a reappearance and screenshots dreams reply and tweeting it, then qrting his own tweet with a video of classical music and showing a text allegedly from dream (the name 'clay' at the top of the screenshot) saying 'tsk tsk whore' to someone. The video also has a clip from when dream was in mcc with captainsparklez and said 'we should lynch them' in reference to i think ppl allegedly cheating?.

thats the most of it so far. although robbo and dream continued to argue and at one point dream said he was going to sue them for slander/defamation and robbo qrted with 'sue me.' theres more to that bit but im not puttin screenshots this shit is already too long

anyways. my final opinion: i literally odnt know like half what happening here or if nicolas cantu really was racist or if that screenshot was 'real' and cantu said he wouldnt reveal who the friend dream called a whore is cuz he dont want to pull her into this. so im like what. but dream gettin clapped by nicolas is fucking hilarious and dream pullin the suing thing again is wild. i seen ppl in qrts saying how he already said he was gonna sue amanda and didnt, sayin he instantly pulled the dms w cantu but wont show the evidence showin amanda lied, etc. and those r a lot of what i think a this like. i feel he got angry and exploded again when eh coulda let it die out. but that always happens

Beatrice was doing what she planned to do, which meant taking care of herself. This was her last week at the bar, so she wanted to be at her best both physically and mentally. With her pregnancy more and more apparent, she knew questions would be asked and she didn’t want to make people wonder ‘oh are you pregnant?’ they usually dropped the ‘again’ after a while.

She wets her throat with some water, hearing Nicole babbling happily in the living room as they both wait for Michael to show up. He wanted to stay with Nikki tonight, since Hannah and her son are there too and it’d be nice for them to meet finally. She smiles softly, shaking her head, because never in her life she’d think her former bully would date her brother and she’d be very okay with that.

She didn’t speak to Rooster that week, which was okay, she knew he was very busy with everything and tried to calm her heart because he was completely fine and alright. She leans back against the counter, turning her head to where she could see Nicole watching tv with a huge smile on her face. She sent him a picture of her teeth, they were fully out now, well, the bottom ones were.

It was adorable, she wrote in the message, she is no longer bothered by it which is really good. I hope the pictures help you while away Roos :) 

She stared at the message for a few seconds, the sprinkles of hope filling her heart thinking that maybe he’d see it now and immediately reply, but of course it didn’t happen. She sighed, slipped her phone back in her pocket and ignored it for the rest of the day because wishing for it to happen didn’t mean it would.

So now she’s just there, by the kitchen, waiting until it was time to go. Beatrice sipped her water again, then leaned back to look at the glass, smacking her lips, “Strange,’ she mutters, “I think I’m tasting something that isn’t there. Or there’s some soap in the glass, tastes weird.”

“Maybe you’re just saying that to keep those pretty lips clean,gorgeous.”

She could hear his voice right beside her and she couldn’t help the smile that spread over her face, her cheeks warming up, “Is that supposed to mean you want a kiss?” she asks the nothing and is surprised when  she feels his huge hands cupping his shoulders and the warm of his front pressing up against her back. She closes her eyes briefly, she could smell his cologne.

“Could be.” his disembodied voice says “I do like kissing you.”

“You do, everywhere it seems.”

‘Oh yeah, just you wait. I’m going to kiss you all over.”

“I’ll be heavily pregnant by the time you get back.” she laughs softly, leaning back against his chest. He was solid, “Are you sure?”

She feels his lips on her face, the tickle of his mustache against her skin and the curl of his smile before he whispers, “I’m always sure when it comes to you,gorgeous.” he says “Wait for me.”

“Always.” and she leans back a bit more, but this time her eyes open and she remembers she’s…at home, alone and that he’s so far away from them. She sighs, placing the empty glass in the sink, reminding herself to wash it once she gets home from the bar later.

Beatrice takes a moment to collect herself,rubbing her temples and clenching her jaw, the brief fantasy of Rooster's presence fading away. She knows that longing for him won't change the reality of their situation, no matter how much she tries. With a heavy sigh, she pushes the thoughts aside and turns to where Nicole was, crossing her arms over her chest, her boots soles hitting the floor and making the little girl look back at her.

“Mama!”

“Hi,honey!” she coos, picking her up from the floor so they could sit on the couch together, “Are you enjoying your show?” Dr.Chimp was giving a fish CPR by making it chug water…that’s a bit weird, wasn’t it?  Nicole giggled, as if agreeing with her mother, letting Beatrice hug her close as they watched tv.

She checked her phone for the time, then looked at the window in hopes to see Michael’s car, “Your uncle is late.” She gently strokes her daughter's hair as she says that, feeling the thin and soft baby hairs touching her finger, as she glances at the window one more time, she notices the darkening sky and wonders why Michael is running late. 

Just as she starts to worry, and was about to call their mother, the sound of a car parking on the front of the house catches her attention. Relief washes over her as she sees Michael stepping out of the vehicle through the curtains, “Finally.” she says goodbye to the dogs, who are now happily asleep, Eleanor being the only one half awake. She stands up with Nicole in her arms, excitement evident in her light green eyes as she vibrates with joy.

"Uncle Michael's here!" she exclaims, her voice filled with joy. She opens the front door and walks out onto the porch to greet him, the second her daughter sees Michael, she lets out a happy squeal. Michael approaches with a smile, his arms open for a hug.

"Hey, sis," he says, giving her a warm embrace. "Sorry I'm late. Traffic was a nightmare."

Beatrice returns the hug, rolling her eyes. "It's alright, I forgive you." she replies, her voice laced with affection. Nicole wriggles even more, holding onto Michael’s shirt and tugging on the fabric to call his attention.

Michael's eyes light up as he glances at Nicole, who is looking at him with the cutest smile in her face, ‘Oh there’s my little booger!”

“Michael.”

“She is a little booger.” he smiles, booping his niece’s nose and earning a giggle, “I have everything ready for tonight, by the way. Hannah is just waiting at home right now and -” his sister gives him a knowing look, one that makes him stop and sigh, “Yes, we’re living together.”

“Has it been long?”

“Since Christmas.”

“Since Christmas!” she laughs, “And you didn’t tell anyone about it, obviously.”

Michael looked like the child who was just reprimanded for eating a cookie, looking away from her, “You know how everyone is. Anyway, don’t you have to go to the bar and work? And I’ll take you there?”

Beatrice nods, her playful smile never fading as she walks over to the car. "Yeah, I was just waiting for you and you know it’s quite a drive there, and I’ll have some questions for you.”" she replies, readjusting Nicole in her arms. "And thanks, I appreciate the ride."

Michael sighs, scratching his head before opening the door so she could put Nikki first,Beatrice buckles Nicole into her car seat, making sure she's comfortable and secure only to step back “Done! Now I go.” she walks around her brother who looks less than amused at her reaction, hearing him close the back door as soon as she gets inside. She’s already looking at him when he sits on the driver’s seat.

“Stop it.”

“What?”

He turns on the car, giving her a shifty glare, “You look like Marina.” he pauses, “It’s not a compliment.”

“She’s still our sister,Mikey.” and she purposefully used the nickname because she knew he’d hate it, “So…it is a compliment yeah.”

Michael rolls his eyes at Beatrice's teasing, but a smile tugs at the corner of his lips. "Fine, fine. It's a compliment then," he concedes, starting the car and pulling out of the driveway. "But let's focus on more important things, like your last week at the bar. Are you feeling okay about it?"

Beatrice leans back in her seat, resting her head against the headrest and deciding that she was okay not talking about those news yet…for now. "Yeah, I'm feeling good about it. It's the right time for me to step away and focus on the babies." She looks out the window, watching the familiar streets pass by. "Plus, being visibly pregnant behind the bar would have raised a lot of questions. I'd rather leave on a high note and not have people gossiping about it."

“More than they already do?’

“More than they already do.”

Michael nods in understanding. "Makes sense. You deserve some time off and a chance to relax before the little ones arrive." He glances at Beatrice, concern in his eyes. "Speaking of which, have you been taking it easy? I know how stubborn you can be sometimes."

Beatrice gasps in offense “I’m not stubborn! I just…I just,well I've been trying, Mikey. Promise. I've been cutting back on my hours at the bar, taking more breaks, and making sure to get enough rest." She reaches over and pats her baby bump affectionately. "The little co-pilots here seem to be doing just fine."

"That's good to hear," Michael says, his voice filled with genuine relief. "You know we're all here to support you, right? If you ever need anything, just let us know. Mom, Dad, and I are just a phone call away." he pauses, “And Gui would fly from New York to see you.”

“Yes,I know.”

“So is Bri but you know, she’s a lot busier and such.”

Beatrice smiles warmly at her brother, touched by his words. "I know, Mikey. And I appreciate it more than you know,I know you all will be there for me. I couldn't ask for a better support system." she looks back outside, following the line of palm trees she was so used to seeing, “And it’s going to help along the way too,since Roos is away.”

Michael glances at Beatrice, his expression softening. "Yeah, I can imagine it's tough with Rooster being away. But hey, you're a strong woman, Bea. You've got this. And when he comes back, it'll be even better."

Beatrice smiles, . "Thank you, Michael. Looks like Hannah has been a good influence on you." he sighs in annoyance, looking at the stop sign instead of his sister, “You’d usually throw a joke in there too.”

“I’m waiting for the segue.” he mutters, “Also don’t tease me, Leo already teased me enough.” and he shouldn’t have done that because now she wanted to know, “Okay, listen, just because the two of you are the youngest of all six of us that doesn’t mean you have to tease your older brother.”

“You tease us all the time!”

‘Yeah, but that’s my job.” he says with his hands up in the air, as if it was obvious, “I’m the…fourth oldest. Shit I had to count in my head, but yeah,I’m the fourth oldest, and the coolest one, therefore that’s my job.”

Beatrice’s soft ‘ah’ followed by her smile was the answer he was expecting. "Of course, the self-proclaimed 'coolest' one. But don't worry, I won't steal your thunder." 

Michael smirks, glancing at her briefly before focusing back on the road. "Good to know you understand your place, little sis." He teases, emphasizing the word 'little' to get a reaction out of her.

Beatrice narrows her eyes at him, feigning offense. "Little? I'll have you know I'm only a few inches shorter than you. That doesn't make me little." 

“You are five seven.” he points to himself, “I’m six two, so…you are little.”

She pokes her finger into his side, eliciting a surprised yelp from him."Okay, okay, I take it back! Jesus woman!" Michael chuckles, swatting her hand away playfully. "You're not little, you're just vertically challenged."

Beatrice raises an eyebrow, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. "Oh, so now you're making height jokes? I thought we agreed to be nice to each other. You were always the nicest to me too,so."

Michael laughs, shaking his head. "Alright, fair point. No more height jokes, I promise." He glances at her, “But you are short- OW!”

McAllister’s plan was risky, more than either of them thought. Rooster, while appreciating the pilot’s suggestion, chose to tell him the cons of it and how they couldn’t ‘head into the wolf’s den with guns blazing’ because it made no sense. McAllister deflated a bit, apologizing as if he insulted Rooster’s family but the other pilot just laughed and said it was fine, “Just remember this,” he gestures to the base and the officers walking by, “It’s a group effort. That could work if it was just one jet.”

"I appreciate the suggestion, McAllister," Rooster said, his voice firm but gentle. "But we can't rush into this without careful consideration. We're dealing with a dangerous situation, and we need to approach it strategically."

McAllister nodded, his enthusiasm dimming. "I didn't mean to underestimate the risk, sir."

Rooster chuckled, placing a reassuring hand on McAllister's shoulder. "No offense taken, you are still young. We're all in this together, alright? It's just that going in with guns blazing wouldn't be the smartest move."

McAllister's disappointment began to fade, replaced by a glimmer of understanding. "I see what you mean. It's not about individual heroics but about working as a cohesive unit."

"Exactly," Rooster affirmed. "And since we are together in this, we’ll have to be extra careful."

McAllister nodded, "You're right, sir.” Rooster sighed because there was no way he was going to call him by his call sign any time soon “I got carried away with my idea, but I appreciate you bringing me back to reality, sir."

"Good. Remember, we're all here to support each other and achieve our mission. Your ideas and input are valuable, but it's crucial to assess the risks and make informed decisions." he arches his brow up to his hairline, “Don’t forget that.”

"I understand, sir," McAllister replied, determination gleaming in his eyes. "I won't let my enthusiasm cloud my judgment again.” He makes a brisk move to leave but stops midway, “May…may I leave…sir?”Rooster nodded with a smirk. "Thank you,sir! I appreciate it sir!" He turns on his heel and leaves the office, in turn leaving Rooster alone and sitting on his desk while holding his chin up with his interlaced hands.

He pulls out another map of the area, running his eyes at every little thing they took note at the first surveillance. He grabs one of his pens and circles the anti-aircraft weaponry, writing a little note of ‘how to evade?’ they couldn’t just turn the left and charge in directly. Rooster knew they needed a more calculated approach.

As he stared at the map, Rooster's mind raced, analyzing the enemy's defenses and searching for weak points. He knew that a frontal assault would be suicide, but they needed to find a way to neutralize or bypass the anti-aircraft weaponry.

He reached for his notebook and started jotting down ideas. He considered the possibility of distracting the enemy's attention with a diversionary tactic while a smaller team carried out a stealthy attack. Another option was to locate any blind spots in the enemy's radar coverage and exploit them to slip through undetected.

Rooster's brow furrowed as he weighed the pros and cons of each plan. He needed to consider the capabilities of their own aircraft, the skills of his team, and the intelligence they had gathered. It was a delicate balance between taking risks and ensuring the safety of his squad.

“No wonder this is going to take six months.” he mutters, “This is hell.” 

“Having problems?”

He smiles, hearing her soft voice behind him, the lavender smell coming up his nose, “A little. Just trying to figure out what to do,gorgeous.” he feels her arms wrap around his shoulders and her head prop on top of his, she was there. “Any tips you’d like to give me?’

“Oh,I’m not good at this Roos.” he hears her embarrassed laugh followed by her quiet pondering “I’m not that smart.”

“You are the smartest person I know.” he replies immediately, “Smarter than me.” he hears her scoffing, ready to say something back, “I don’t lie and you know it.”

The invisible Beatrice chuckled, her breath warm against his neck. "Well, if you insist. I'll give it a shot." She tightened her embrace, and he leaned on her touch "How about um…" she began, her voice calm and soothing,"How about utilizing the element of surprise?" she suggested, her voice filled with thought. "Think about ways you can catch the enemy off guard?Is that possible? Like when,in Mass Effect 3, Shepard wanted the krogans and the turians to attack the reaper in Tuchanka!"

Rooster's smile widened because he knew what she was talking about, he enjoyed the game just like she did. "A diversion could work. I can work with that."

“Is that good?”

He smiles more, “it’s great.” he feels the weight of her head on his shoulder, the soft strands of hair tickling his neck before he sighed, “...I miss you.”

“I miss you too.”

“Are you okay?” he waits for a response, but it doesn’t arrive, “Bea?” he asks again, the weight on his shoulders is gone and he turns around only to see the wall behind him with the several papers pinned onto an old cork board. His eyebrows lower as he looks back at the maps, then sighs heavily, “Fuck.” he drops the pen to rub his eyes, then press his face into his palms, “These might be the longest six months…longer than the ones when we were still dating.” he flicks his eyes to the map from between his fingers.

And then he blinks.

Because he just noticed something he hadn’t before. ‘...that’s an opening.” he mutters, “In the mountains, that’s an opening.”

Rooster's heart raced as he stared at the map, his eyes fixed on the newly potential route that could lead them closer to their objective while bypassing the heavily fortified areas.

He quickly grabbed a ruler and traced the path from the opening on the map. It seemed to offer a way to avoid the enemy's anti-aircraft defenses and potentially provide a more covert approach. It was a risk, but it could also be their best chance at success. He couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh,”...just like Shepard thought.” he mutters, “Fuck,Bea, thank you. This is going to give us even more time to prepare.”

With renewed determination, Rooster started drafting a revised strategy, incorporating the element of surprise and utilizing the newly discovered opening in the mountains, an opening that would require a better look but he had no idea why they hadn’t noticed it before. 

As he worked, he couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for Beatrice's presence, even if it was just a memory or an echo in his mind. Her suggestion had sparked the idea that led to this breakthrough, and he knew she would be proud of him

“Thanks gorgeous.” he smirks, “You never disappoint me.”

watched a stream of the last fontaine archon quest and now im gonna cry and think of neuvi and silvie

since ive watched it twice now i can actually make a timeline (with my 'my ocs are the mc' rewrite) this is very long i am sorry

arle's first meeting with furina & neuvi, she has reason to be sus about neuvi and tries to dig up anything on him but all she has to work with is that silvanus, his assistant, spends the most time with him

she also knows nikolai and silvanus are siblings and drops the bomb at the start of the meeting that niko has been in the care of the house of the hearth this whole time after being sold and tries to imply silvanus is partially guilty since she reaped the benefits from their parents, knowing that neuvillette was recently made aware of this. to try and get a Reaction from either of them by creating conflict

the meeting goes on after silvanus is excused and at the end of it theres this awkward silence before neuvi immediately goes into Professional Mode wanting to make the arrangements to send [my other ocs] down to meropide to See Whats Up and silvie kinda goes nuts, silvie in near hysterics and neuvi not knowing how to deal with it and tries to be Rational which only sets her off even more like 'oh of course a dragon couldnt under human emotions' before just. shutting down. and going on autopilot professional mode to get my other ocs down to meropide

she ends up going there herself and fills wrio in on everything up until the primordial water gate floods open and wrio has her go get neuvillette. who is already on his way down and silvanus keeps an eye out on furina while meeting with arle again

after the crisis, arle starts questioning silvanus abt her own thoughts on furina and is about to start asking about neuvi when he shows back up to see a distressed looking silvanus before arle takes her leave

neuvi tries to talk with silvanus alone after that but then SHE throws the professionalism card at him and leaves (then it starts raining ahhahahaha)

and throughout the entire act 5 they are both in Profession Mode and do not get to talk privately since they both working constantly dealing with everything. shes in on the plan to put furina on trial trades info to and from wrio on the whole thing

when shit hits the fan, the whale attacks and the death sentence happens. She Knows Something Big happens when neuvi mentions having the power to stop the whale now and gives her a nod and a 'ill leave the rest to you' before leaving (all while dropping any sort of professional honorifics during the heat of it all)

and her neurotic brain is just FREAKING OUT because she doesnt know if he actually left her in charge of the nation while he was fight the whale or if he was gonna DIE trying to stop it and then she WOULD be in charge of fontaine

it doesnt help that the flooding starts while hes gone but SOMEHOW they arent dissolving but is able to coordinate the search and rescue operations w/ navia and the others

and when the water recedes and he shows back up. she does not give any shits and tackle hugs him, clinging to him like a tree, front of the entire nation.LMAO

after the crisis comes to an end and the dust settles there is absolutely an article in the steambird about their secret office romance and charlotte is foaming at the mouth wanting an interview asap

i don't have many thoughts about the ep but it was. Something. to watch. i sorta knew what was about to happen because i saw you talking about it on the dash but My Fucking God. i don't know whats up with link click and their fifth eps but they sure do like putting all the strong topics into them. i did liked? enjoyed? a lot the realism it was treated with though

also my brain sort of died halfway n i spent a nice hour trying to figure out what was happening with lu guangs ability in this ep

that theory about one of the siblings taking control of him during that brief time period sounds very interesting?? i wonder if that's what happened or if the bad connection is due to lu guang's current health or a third secret thing

also another thing but i?? really like the way link click distracts you from the culprits. i spent the ending of ep4 n half of ep 5 thinking that the culprit was gonna be the cat ears dude n they also seemed to be playing onto it at first. i don't know. it's cool

I AGREE WITH THE CONFUSION ABOUT LU GUANGS ABILITY THOUGH. like its sooo... inconsistent. we dont know a lot about it from the get go anyway but i also sometimes wonder abt the logistics of the dives and if lu guang is surprised like cheng xiaoshi by what happens but then in other instances we see him knowing exactly what happens?? idk. suspension of disbelief ig. it is a time travel show after all so theres bound to be some inconsistencies. i try to just enjoy the show and not think too much abt the logistics of lu guangs ability.

also to your last point i knowwwww right?? the first time i saw this man and noticed the beard shadow i immediately thought it was that henchman guy from qian jin, just in the past. and thats also how the siblings have this connection in the present to him now. im still kinda sus abt him though. bet on link click to first make us think hes the bad guy, then the good guy, and then it turns out hes the bad guy again and actually that henchman dude. it is an interesting choice to give him the same beard shadow as him. link click, istg ur making my hairs turn grey.

i've tried to some? success?? i think? to try and show that my scott design isn't *that* much of a twink. i don't think im very good at it tbh but i wanted to get across that he was at least somewhat deceptively toned in the way a pro archer or ballet dancer would be. i think it would be more apparent if i drew him shirtless but idk if im brave enough for that lmao

but skizz is like. BUFF. and tall.

so scott is NOT used to getting picked up and swung over his shoulder and carried around etc. etc. and it ends up doubly flustering him. plus skizz is rough around the edges (i think he'd know his own strength enough to not hurt scott but he's not careful lol) and its a big contrast to what scott's used to. cus usually when people are that rough with him they're. trying to kill him.

finished yangtze river dolphin episode from extraordinary attorney woo and i think im near tears. i love this episode so much. a huge chunk of my media experience keeps telling me to be on edge, telling me that things are going to get dirty and dramatic and people are going to get antagonised for the sake of a good show, but it never goes there. the witness (? is that what you call them for civil cases?) temporarily snapping in court because everyone from the company is tired about the lawsuit, but after the court hearing ends, the plaintiffs end up hugging her and reassuring her that "it's okay, people have their own opinions, you're not a bad person, this is just how circumstances are and i wouldn't fault you for not picking the ‘moral high road’ for the sake of your own stability and comfort. i would've made the same decision in your shoes. these things shouldn't be blamed on you, but the way our patriarchal society has been set up even before we were born that forces us to choose between these two things. we will never fault you for not making the impossible perfect choice. no matter what happens in the end, we will never fault you for it."

and i'm just like. crying man. it's easy in shows involving law to easily spin a tale to villainise characters the main characters are disagreeing with, but like... this show goes beyond that and reveals something very simple and true, which is that humans are flawed, which means they can make flawed decisions, but that is not always a failure of morality or conscience.

and my god the critique of the mir life company was so good too. even when i thought i'd hate the hr guy, it turns out he's also just another cog in the machine they'd throw out. he's also been fed the same lies and sweet promises the others were, and i couldn't feel that familiar sense of "vindication!!!" i felt when villains got what they deserved. because it reminded me, once again, that he's not a villain; he's just another guy crushed under the weight of his imperfect decisions, becoming the scapegoat for all the targeted animosity when in reality he was discarded just as easily. it felt like his appearance was deliberately put so we'd have someone's face to hate, to throw the eggs on, but in reality the shitty choices are always made from people higher up than him, invisible and faceless but very much present in influencing the quality of thousands of people's livelihoods.

god. what a good show. between young-woo and su-yeon's friendship, i'm also loving the women solidarity in this episode. i love it so much. You know, I went into it thinking ‘if the gays made it through this in 2005, I can get through it in 2023’ and now I’m finished with the finale but at what cost? To quote Brian after they shut down Babylon ‘my heart’s broken…my soul crushed!’ I have so many thoughts and feelings and opinions. I mean, I immediately knew this show will make an impact on me in more ways than one but holy shit, this is gonna hurt for a while. Britin deciding not to get married (although I’m not really eh about that because it makes sense) and I love that little moment in bed they had were they realized that neither want the other or themselves to give things up. (Although that freak out from Justin over cuddling was so fucking cringe..sir he cuddled you after Ethan dumped you and you came home to Brian waiting for you) but when they called off the wedding, that hurt in a way not gonna lie, although Debbie immediately made it funny. I gotta say as a sidenote, I actually really hated the whole ‘let’s run to Canada where they love us’ from Mel and Linds, like horrible things happen everywhere and there’s homophobia everywhere..Would kind of expect Mel to know that but whatever. Brian’s goodbye to Linds and Gus killed me! (Also side note: I actually really hated the ambush from Linds and Mel about Justin, i get it, it’s for the plot, but it felt like ‘oh we’re going away and gonna be happy, why don’t we meddle one more time to ruin Brian’s happiness’). And then the break up. Well not really but yeah, that one hurt. I bawled my eyes out. He kept the rings! The ‘it’s only time’ (btw that speech made me think of something completely else that i noticed but i also don’t wanna ramble bc I’m already doing too much) THE KISS! That felt like they were holding on to the last piece of a floating board after a ship went down, desperate to get last few breaths of air before they sunk. And that entire sex scene?? I GASPED! When i realized what was being shown over them. The first time and the last. It made me cry so fucking hard. It was just so beautiful. And when Brian, hugged him at the end and snuggled up? Only for the fade out to happen? IM SUING THEM ALL! (That actually angered me because Justin deserved much much much more! And so did Brian! But the heartbreak is still there) and then when they show Brian in the apartment alone? Fuck. I hate it! I actually wish they would’ve ended it at the fade out ngl. Because the whole scene afterwards with Michael was kind of dumb. It just felt like Brian was trying to let Michael know, he’s changed in some ways and done with certain parts of his life and yet the person who spent an entire season angry about him being that person, now suddenly wants him to go back to being Brian Kinney for fucks sake! Anyway, i sobbed my eyes out especially because Brian was all alone dancing in the end, just felt like a knife to the heart. Because why would you give the self hated, depressed, abused character a happy ending? Ughhh i have so many more thoughts but im already doing too much with this.

The entire dialogue with the cuddling was just so badly written and so over the top by Justin. Overall the writing across this season was so weak. Mel and Linds ending was very rushed shipping them off to Canada, and absolutely did not appreciate their meddling into britin's relationship but again for the plot!

I never can watch the scene of Brian on the podium with Proud playing because I well up instantly. I'm forever mad that was Justin's last scene he deserved to be there at Babylon. Brian's arc ending like that was cruel, because he gave so much to everyone over the five years, and to end up essentially back at square one but worse losing all the love he collected was not it.

Also I'm so glad you experienced the show with the original soundtrack!

My thoughts on Watching and Dreaming

I watched the episode when it premeired last night but i hit post limit so couldnt post about it. Spoilers under the cut. sorry if anything is out of order lol im sick and im just throwing everything i thought last night down on this post.

-Luz being attacked by Amity genuinely made me cry

-"My girlfriend is too big a nerd to misremember an Azura quote" -luz probably

-Lilith having the haircut from For the Future but color scheme from season 1 is a nice touch

-"Dont you recognize your siblings" Ok damn man didnt need to go THAT far

-The giant stone Flapjack in Luz's nightmare killed me and not in the good funny way but in the sad crying way

-in the words of @minty-creator "BELOS FUCKETH OFF" (We were both watching the ep and screaming to each other about it)

-at first I thought belos was gonna try and possess king but then I realized no he's going to possess the fucking boiling isles titan

-I actually kinda liked that The Collector had no concept of death. They're a kid, an IMMORTAL GODLY KID. Of course they wouldnt know what death is

-Pacman Collector will haunt my nightmares

It was one of the few things I genuinely hated about Steven Universe (SU is still a good show tho they just kinda overused villain redemption. And yeah yeah you could argue MLP overuses that too but MLP was ABOUT friendship)

-Luz, Eda, and King's expressions when The Collector hugs Belos is so funny tho. Literally just 👁👄👁

-the entire episode was so anime but the fight scene between Titan Luz and Belos was just anime as fuck and the smooth animation makes it even better

-Darius and Eber so want to beat the shit out of Terra, Vitmir, and Adrien.

-Camila pulling Eda and King into a hug with Luz is just. YES.

-Yassified Hooty go brrr

-King giving The Collector Francois was so sweet

-All the kids as adults are so fucking gender. GIVE ME YOUR GENDER.

-All the photos on Luz's bulletin board are so amazing. Especially the one with Hooty dropping from a tree that one made me laugh so hard. Also the Bi Pride pin next to the graduation photo was amazing.

Im going to miss toh. It was one of the best shows Ive ever watched.

owl house spoilers, and thinking back on what could had been. so yeah. rambling again. but, i will say, i loved it, and it left me an emotional mess. not as much as ffxiv's shadowbringers and endwalker, but still p good without comparison.

i enjoyed the ending tbh. i love titan-luz esp. there was a lot of things i found interesting in the world building, that i wish that if the series wasnt cancelled, could had been properly explored with time, and king can unite with his father, but unfortunately... yeah. but you know, despite all the good, i do feel that having the big bad have so much mystery, but no time to explore makes his death a bit weak.

like it feels good to have him beaten down as he was, and killed straight up, but i wish i could had learned more about his backstory. his reason to be there. yes luz caused him to get where he is, but like, thats only one piece to a bigger puzzle that is the big bad's story.

i wish i could had learn more about the collector's kind. what really happened to them and what happened to the titans. i wish we could had learned more about the collector as well, because giving just three episodes to the other big "bad" isnt enough, imo, to grown attached to him. but i do think he is adorable. just a kid with too much power and too little guidance. its a shame really.

thing is, im just a viewer, not a writer, and so idk what happened or what the creators were thinking to make what they did, but i still enjoyed it. there was too much that disney missed out on, and honestly, i wish the owl house existed when i was a kid. it would make me feel proud to not only be hispanic, like i always wanted a hispanic heroine, but also glad to be weird and different. im glad that this show exists for kids that exist today.

but it is what it is. im not angry at the mouse, im more angry at the people who direct the mouse. the mouse isnt to be blamed here.

anyway thats just summoning up my thoughts on it, and i nearly did cry at the end, to see a proper happy ending after so long. i havent finished steven universe, because i heard that the ending for that is p bad, and like, honestly, i just watched a few episodes of future, and felt content with just finishing it off pre-movie. but i know that even su suffered a lot from corp meddling. it sucks.

still, despite corp nonsense, im glad these shows are being made today, and for future gens to enjoy. i hope to see more shows like these continue to be made, despite corp nonsense. i want to see more good stories.
