Hello

I thought I could just keep a bunch of my thoughts here cause 1) I can’t seem to talk to anyone about how my life is going 2) there are things that I can’t talk about to people.

So I am this 20 something year old woman who had gone through your typical high school life, then working that part time job for a year, then college, then another year off school, then college AGAIN, then work, AND THEN “what the actual FUCK am I doing?????”

I’m just kind of reviewing my life right now and wonder to myself a lot “would I have done that better?” I mean most of our lives we ask that of ourselves all the time. I don’t know how many times I’m going to do this but we’ll see, I still like classic writing in notebooks and such but I find technology is a different approach to things and maybe it might relate to others? I don’t know what kind of gain I would get out of typing my thoughts out.

Here goes...

Currently in my thoughts, I hate being an adult. Probably everyones heard that a lot, but it really sucks especially when you’re trying to get your life together. These passed 2 weeks I had been working on a lot of Over Time and I think this weekend would mark it my 5th over time. I’m surprised that I’m not deprived of sleep, guess I should get Redbull to sponsor me (influenced by my manager), I thought I would never go back to energy drinks since college days. 

I work as a full-time lead at a shoe store and have only been moved to that position about a year ago I think. I was kind of all over the place but this company had 2 different shoe stores so I got moved maybe 3 times in 7 years. Thats right, I have worked for this company for 7 years now, the first 4 or 5 years I didn’t really get that many hours because I worked part-time, now I’m trying to aim for Head Office. Anyways, work has been pretty crazy, the store I work at is located in the most popular mall with extremely high traffic of customers even Monday’s are busy.

For the past few weeks though, I have been working on stock, for some reason the company we work with that delivers our products to our store come on days that aren’t our stock day. Its frustrating because it seems as if they are coming EVERYDAY, they also seem to keep miscalculating how many boxes we receive, which is why I have done so much overtime, I haven’t sold any items in a while.

Today was also payday and...more than half of that has gone to bills, gas, food you name it. It’s the worst when your parents know that you have a job and when you get paid, because now that usually makes you feel like you’re their SECOND INCOME. All that overtime money, GONE, BYE #borkebeforetheweekend (I should probably tell my mom that my insurance for the car is coming up) but growing up in my family, we were taught to “help out with the family first” but what am I going to use to build myself up? I learned to be more careful with money. Someone once told me, “Get paid rich, spend like you’re poor,” it’s been on my mind ever since. Thats usually hard to make as your goal when your own hard working money is used to help. I mean, they usually pay you back but its usually on days that are most inconvenient.

I’m going to just cut it right here, I feel like just crying at how frustrating things are right now. peace.

          • I do keep a sketchbook with me but have been off for a long “while”

          • I live with my family

          • I like snow
