Comforting Levi Headcanons
warnings: hurt/comfort; gn!reader
do you ever just think about comforting Levi through literally any of the extreme amount of shit he’s been put through?
him letting you hug him for the first time ✨ he’s not quite sure how to respond at first and just stiffly let’s you hold him. It’s the gentle stroking of his back with your fingers that finally loosens him into timidly wrapping his arms around you; his head falling to rest on your shoulder as he takes in the unfamiliar feeling of being held and loved. he doesn’t stray away from your touch like he may have in the past and instead grips ahold of you impossibly tighter.
depending on how close your bond is and how comfortable he is in your presence he may actually, albeit extremely rarely, allow himself to shed like two whole tears. but that’s it. he’s still reserved enough to hold in the bulk of his pain in front of you.
stroking the back of his neck around his hairline is one of few things that makes him melt further into you. it’s an unfamiliar and incredibly vulnerable spot, but comforting when coming from you. he lets you gently tease at his short hair as he burrows his face further into the junction of your shoulder and neck; slowly breathing in your scent.
it’s a moment only for the two of you. if anyone were to happen upon you unexpectedly *cough* hange *cough* he might actually kill them, or at least traumatize them into never speaking of it.
conclusion: levi is rough around the edges, but can be persuaded to melt into your arms and escape your harsh reality for short moments of reprieve 🥲

The cAse is SOlved! Yakou'S the cULPrit!
This was genuinely the only thing I could think of during Yuma's reasoning death match with the pixely, glitchy mystery phantom
(From Master Detective Archives: Rain Code, which I have not played, but I did watch my sister play through most of it! It was fun)

Today my coworkers and I were talking about periods. And I straight up told my coteacher "if my period comes back I will call out for the entire week because I will be too dysphoric and too distressed" and she said "I think they (bosses) would understand" ...
Like I have no idea if they would, but hearing my coteacher say that was relieving 😅
Apparently there was an old transmale coworker who DID get his period back and he cried. :( poor thing.

Thinking abt what if the Revenge accidentally hits another ship while sailing (how? many options)
And I can see Stede pulling out like. Ship insurance card and shit and Ed's like um. Babe we can just raid them now
While Stede is like no!! if it was a carriage accident we would trade insurance info and have the accident sketched for our records!
Lucius is already rapidly sketching and shrugging to Ed like idk buddy I'm not taking this one on so good luck
And poor Ed is trying so hard to explain that he's literally never heard of anyone having ship insurance in his life. tf did Stede even buy it at. how will the agent get out here to assess damages and shit? Stede bby pls explain
But he does not. He goes over to the other ship and gives his info and comes back smiling
because he found the one other fucking pirate on the seas who also purchased ship insurance and is delighted Stede was so chill and easy going abt trading info and dealing with the accident, and they anticipate it will be easy claims for both of them
in the background Izzy fuckin lights up a goddamn joint because he can't. he's done. what the entire fuck. Edward if you need me I am gonna be stoned as fuck slumped in the crows nest. fucking ship insurance. of course.

i was fleshing out symon's backstory a few days ago and was like. you know... the first feat i ever took for him was Lucky (which has prevented some serious consequences multiple times). and this entire game has been so many clutch-victories won by Symon (well, me deciding not to mulligan after bad starts, but narratively) looking at absolutely terrible odds and saying "no, we're turning this around" and then somehow managing it with some actual "if i hadn't done that right then (not sooner, not later) we would have lost" moments in like all of the major fights. and tymora does favour people who take things into their own hands rather than just hoping for intervention... wouldn't it be fun if he was favoured/Chosen by tymora? he doesn't "win" all the time, and some of it is skill and determination (i mean what is luck without that) and he's had some terrible luck too, but it's not really luck if success is guaranteed, is it? i'm gonna have this in my head playing the final boss.
i decide to play it with friends watching because i'm legitimately stressed out by how attached i am to everyone, including symon at this point, and just like the cazador fight the emotional support is needed (plus it's way more impactful to have people cheering you on and reacting to those clutch moments lol)
and then those back to back "Dominate the Brain" rolls happened. first roll, natural 20 (with lucky advantage). second roll, with Lucky and inspiration, another nat20. i save even though i don't intend to save scum, these rolls are so hard that surely failure is intended. third roll, ran out of lucky and inspiration and failed the DC30. thought that was it. and then there's another chance! maybe we can-- oh. DC99. so the only way to succeed is another Nat20, what are the odds of 3/4 rolls being won that way? well who cares, this roll is 5%. i like those odds, so does symon. i tell the friends who are watching about the Tymora thing and ask her to help Symon. but kind of in a joke way because i'm gonna accept the roll no matter what, because clearly you're not meant to pass this now---
cue screaming in disbelief
....so at this point i'm going to say it's not just me making his backstory, Tymora is just canonically smiling on him.
(funnily enough i replayed this to show someone what happened - and also because i was wondering if it was scripted and, just to be absolutely fucking hilarious, i got a Nat1 on this roll the second time lmao)
