Do you ever watch a Sherlock Holmes adaptation, and the moment John Watson comes on screen go:

"Yup. That's a John Watson. That is, 100%, no doubt, a John Watson."

YES ABSOLUTELY, personality aside Watson's appearance is super important for me to get immersed. I just become so hyperaware of the fact that it's an ACTOR when he doesn't look like Watson. For a specific case, one of my fave Watsons (outside of 1 to 1 depictions) would have to be Himesh Patel in Enola Holmes. As SOON as I saw that guy I was like 😮😮😮🫵🫵🫵🫵 YOOOOOO WAAAAATSOOOOONNNNNN

But in general, my criteria is as follows:

Have kind eyes. Not sure if it makes much sense but you've got to see some zest for life and love for humanity in Watson's eyes. Yeah, it can be tinged with sadness, but it's GOTTA be there (I think BBCs Watson failed on this front, but Miss Sherlock's Wato-san nailed it).

Be well dressed. Watson is always describing what people wear and how they look, he's a very aesthetically involved man. He once said he was happy a dude got murdered cuz the guy was just THAT butt ugly. If he's wearing some wack ass clothes im NOT watching 🤦🤦 Holmes can look crazy, but Watson absolutely cannot

Be handsome, but fluffy. I feel like CBS especially has a problem with the second half because Elementarys Joan and Watsons Watson are literal supermodels and I just can't get past it. (I haven't seen either, but a gif of CBS Watson came across my dash and in it he was literally like flexing??? In his SLEEP 😭😭?? enough is enough). I appreciate the effort to overcorrect after years of goofy, cartoonish Watson depictions but I'll take that over this tall mewing gigachad any day of the week.

btw hi guys. [blows a cloud of dust into your face]. i miss being on here regularly but such is life. hope everypony is continuing to sparkle on. a few updates from me and the team. (?) longtime followers may be mourning the mgs content. as am i. but unfortunately i think i need at least another year before i can start to feel insane about mgs again. im kind of all metal geared out. those 2-3 years i spent being obsessed with it are kind of a distant fever dream now. it remains always in my heart brain and pussy forever but i'm just not in mgs mode right now. the ocie that lives in my brain is hibernating for a while. don't worry he's nice and warm and i have stocked up on tuna and wet food.

i guess my current interest is iwtv so you can expect to see some more of that. (a while back i watched the show then watched the film then read several of the books and now that ive recently caught up with s2 im back in vampire mode. i prefer the tv show versions of the characters so sorry but you won't be seeing me draw t*m cru*se lestat or ginger armand. i do enjoy the books though. when i go home at xmas i'll have them to hand and flicking though them again might spark me into feeling even more crazy.)

i keep wanting to draw more dr who stuff but never getting round to it but i remain optimistic that i will do at some point. who knows. "WHO" knows ! . ha ha.

i also very recently got into bbc cult sci-fi sitcom red dwarf (1988-present) and im feeling the urge to draw some red dwarf stuff (for the handful of people who care) because it's extremely silly and what this blog and indeed myself need is a return to silliness. so if i suddenly start drawing d lister and gay rimmer and their funny friends you've been warned.

i sort of want to draw more random stuff outside of frequent interests tbh. like ive been watching/rewatching a lot of movies lately and id kind of like to draw bits and bobs pertaining to various movies whenever the whim strikes. so if i suddenly put withnail and the titular i on your dash you have also been warned of this.

however i should say that regardless of what i am drawing i might not be able to post often because unfortunately i have a bit more of a life now than i did previously. i socialise a bit and go to the pub with friends sometimes this sort of thing. it's quite jolly id recommend. i also might be working after xmas on top of uni work so i don't know if ill have time to draw much. i want to though. so i probably will anyway. fuck my grades. #cool

okay so i'm not british (i'm just a teenage girl hungry for knowledge 😔✊) but i watched one video and as a result i've been consuming an insane amount of new labour media for the past week even though i've never been interested in uk politics besides keeping up with global news LMAO i genuinely wanna know more so where do you think i should start with books films etc 😭

hiii!! excellent question id be more than happy to help! this will be sort of an overview with general recs for newlab beginners (why am I treating this like its a profession omg) so just lmk if you want more specific recs + I've highlighted my favs

books (from the outside)

(by from the outside I mean written by people not directly involved in newlab, so historians/journalists etc)

the two classic newlab texts are servants of the people and the end of the party, both by andrew rawnsley from the observer. provide nice, extensive but not overly fussy histories of newlab from opposition to 2010. good balance of gossip and actual information!

my personal favourite is rivals by james naughtie (bbc reporter), I find the prose in it far more compelling than any other book on this list.

brown's britain (robert peston) is also very good!

you've mentioned that you're not from the UK, so I really really really would recommend reading a book/a few articles on the broader history of the British Labour Party, just so you can understand why newlab was so revolutionary. I quite like keeping the red flag flying

the new machiavelli by jonathan powell is my absolute favourite self-written newlab book - and you might learn some stuff ant machiavelli whilst ur at it so this is an essential imo

my life our times by gordon brown is another one I really enjoyed, although it's less gossipy than some of the other books on this list. admittedly I do agree with basically everything gordon brown has ever said so this is a very biased review, but I would give it a go!

obviously alastair campbell wrote a load of diaries. I would be careful with which volumes you choose to get - go for the ones published 2010 and onwards bc he made the choice to omit stuff from the first few volumes he published so that it wouldn't' hurt gordon's premiership. also, they're really long and really extensive, so pick which volumes you want to read based on which specific period of newlab you find yourself drawn to!

as a comms/polling fan (boo) I really liked unfinished revolution by philip gould, but this might not be the best book to start with.

damian mcbride's power trip (more diaries) is also interesting

big fan of point of departure by robin cook asw!

I found tony's books excruciating to read but that's bc im crazy and think I know the inside of his mind like its my own so they might be good for you. his new book is FASCINATING but only in the sense of it exposing how big his messiah complex is. don't read any of his books if you're not down to hear about sex and/or technology.

oh a note: mandelson has written books but I don't like him so im not going to recommend them <3

tony and gordon aren't really all that into big heartfelt chats about newlab, esp not together, but a few good docs have been made

blair and brown: the new labour revolution (bbc, 2021) - this is a classic, it's where I got my newlab start as a tender sixteen year old politics student u can't beat it! watch this one first

I especially like the joint one he did with ed balls and alastair campbell, and the first tony one. these r less good for actually learning facts about newlab but really like listening to them as a way to sort of get into these ppls heads and observe them in a more casual setting. also a gordon interview asw !

if you can bear listening to george osborne talk (I can but others r more sensible) then political currency is also a good place to get lil tidbits of newlab gossip, bc ed balls is one of the hosts and he's super messy he loves chatting abt gordon.

I think i am the reason I died. I hesitated. I knew I was to die and I hesitated because I exist for the good of everyone. Except Merlin apparently.

Literally fuck me apparently I sensed Merlin was the other side of the coin, hijacked the coin, then made him suffer for being close because I am such a great king.

I think im the only Arthur P on here so if anyone wants any updates on me I fused with a bunch of other fictives and now I think i count as a kin. I kinshift alot but it's cool. I'm surrounded by my system and our friends. I am loved.

Most of it from 2012-2015

I posted my first story in 2012 - on fanfiction.net though, only adding it to ao3 a bit later - and the feedback I got made me write like crazy. Made me decide to study English at university. For me who isn’t from an English speaking country that choice was as much to make my English better as to make my ability to write stories better. How to make any of it fit with a job could come later.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

It used to be Harry Potter. And I owe a lot to the people in that fandom. Now, for reasons many share, I’ve left that behind.

The last couple of years and probably for years to come the answer is Star Wars. I need to get deep into a fandom before the urge to write for it grabs me, so while I’ll enjoy other things too, they’re not likely to become stories.

That’s also the reason I’ve not written much original stuff. I want to know the characters before I write them. When I’m the one who has to create them, I have to write to get to know them and it’s not my favorite thing.

Anyway! Within Star Wars I tend to prefer focusing on the relationship between Anakin and Obi-Wan. It’s strong and messy and I find it fascinating.

Second to that comes Vader and Luke.

I also adore Cal Kestis from the games about the early years of the Empire.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

These are all going to be Harry Potter fics.

Oh, they’re all Harry Potter Crossovers! That used to be my thing. Mainly pairing it with the MCU. Most of these are really old and each time new MCU content comes out, new people find them. And for the first one which is a completed Harry Potter/Loki I think it’s reached the top listing in that pairing and it’s snowballing.

This was a labour of love. I proved to myself that I could write something longer than 5k words and complete it. I think it turned out pretty good.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I used to be better at it. For short comments I don’t feel like there’s much to say. I appreciate them, but they don’t open up a conversation. For longer comments, especially given shortly after I post I make an effort to respond.

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

The time that is given us | Harry Potter/Tom Riddle. Time travel. Time loop. Complete. 2k words

It was written for the following prompt: “Write a story about your OTP that has an UNHAPPY ENDING” and boy was it ever unhappy.

Uhhh. I’m notorious for not completing my multi chapters. The ending is missing most of the time

8. Do you get hate on your fic?

It has happened. It’s been a long time though. And it was like one comment at a time not a storm. And it’s been things like “this is so gay.” And I’m like, yes, that was the point.

9. Do you write smut?

I’ve begun to. Mostly I never got to the point of my multi chapter stories where it was relevant. But my first published story is more explicit in hindsight than I realized even though there’s no touching and no one takes off their clothes.

Last year I published my first story where smut what’s the main point. Still plotty though.

Take Care of Yourself, I Wish I Could | “While Obi-Wan and Anakin are alone on a planet during a mission, Anakin goes into a presentation heat. One Obi-Wan will not help him through no matter how much they'd both want it. Not that they know that want is mutual.” Complete. 7k words

10. Do you write crossovers?

As seen in my top 5 kudos list. Yes. I used to. I loved it. It was most of what I read and wrote for many years.

The first Star Wars fics I wrote and trying for are also Harry Potter crossovers. They’re incomplete and gathering electronic dust though.

It is more than likely that I’ll try it again. Just gotta find a story I want to smush together with Star Wars.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Posted to other sites by other people without them asking me: yes. Many times.

Someone claiming to have written my stories: no. Not as far as I’m aware.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I’ve had offers. People saying they want to translate. But as far as I remember no one delivered. Or might have been one case where the first chapter in a story was translated.

I welcome translations and pod fics etc!

I just want to know where they’re posted so I can read any comments.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic?

Not as such. I’ve had some significant collaborations. One which I hope I’ll get to see published soon. But never something where I share the work 50/50 or even 30/70

14. What‘s your all-time favourite ship?

Obikin is the winner because od the fact that compared to other pairings I’ve been obsessed with, it has to most canon content to draw from and that makes the relationship richer and more complex than any of the competitors. Because of their shared history, I think it might keep the throne even should I move on to something else.

15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I’ve not felt much for any of my wips lately. Neither the published stories nor the unpublished ones. So most of them deserve the status abandoned. My mood might change and I might want to return though. My mood is liable to change

16. What’s your writing strengths?

Characterisation!

I study and analyse the characters in untreated in until I know them and can stay two to their core despite putting them in circumstances that are different from where we know them from. I’ve had many compliments about my characterisation through the years. And it’s the most frequent compliment I get.

Humor too. I think I can be funny. The feedback implies it.

I also think I’m good at setting up tension and delivering an emotional experience.

17. What’s your writing weaknesses?

Following through!

I’m struggling with picking stories that aren’t so long my interest in them will be over long before they are complete.

Endings overall I find a struggle. Most of my ideas are an inciting event and what drives me is that I want to see where that leads. Not knowing the destination means I don’t know how to get there, and I get lost along the way and quit.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I used to do more of it, but I dunno. I find Swedish to be awkward to put into fics, I think this is a remnant how growing up movies and music in English were seen as a lot cooler, and using languages I don’t know makes the perfectionist and linguist in me cringe.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Long before I knew what fandom or fanfic was. Years before I could write even, I had my mum write down stories for me while I drew the pictures (I was 4-5 years old). The two I remember were “sequels” to Disney films. First out Snow White. Second the Little Mermaid.

First fandom I wrote for as a teen who had discovered the phenomenon on the internet: Dragon Age Origins. It was als the first thing I published. I removed it only weeks later though. I understood that copying the game dialogue word for word and adding only a few things myself was something I didn’t like reading at all after the first couple of times and didn’t want others to read my poor attempt of that type of story.

Oldest published story that remains available is Harry Potter

Second oldest is a Harry Potter and BBC Merlin crossover (which I used for a school project and got a top grade on. Weird times. I think writing that many words in English (foreign language) that didn’t suck was the reason. Also, I printed it and bound it as a book myself. That probably helped.)

20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?

In a way the Harry Potter Merlin crossover I mentioned above. It’s long (though incomplete). It made me grow so much. I had one commenter who wrote essays to me each chapter and I’m beyond grateful for that. It was the first story I worked with a beta reader on. And it saved me from doing a real school project

Is it the best writing I’ve done? No.

Would I recommend it to you now? Not really no. But yeah. I’m proud of it.

My first essay

Under the influence

Fashion has been something I have been interested in since I was young. I have always wanted to create my own clothing brand, always searching for manufacturers knowing I was never able to afford it. Creating design concepts hoping that one day I could make my dreams come true. What got me interested in fashion were the different types of clothes that was out the my first pair of jeans which stick in my head are g star raw jeans im not sure if they were real or fake but they were baggy and i thought they were cool and it's crazy how fashion back in those days were baggy jeans then it went to skinny jeans now it's back to baggy. Going back to the days when I started college for the first time I came across a brand that also inspired me and a lot of brands today the name is bbc ice cream. 

What I thought was cool about that brand was how they added their logo to the crotch of their jeans and now you see plenty of brands doing that so it shows the inspiration for fashion.

I am also a model as well as being a designer. The modelling part is relevant to this because I have to look good and have a reasonable outlook on fashion and the way I dress. I have to keep up with trends and dress up with the times I can't be behind. Social media websites such as instagram pinterest and tiktok help me keep up with the relevant trends that are out there. Pages like hypebeast help also because they show clothes, even objects and items that are made by designers and collaborations that are interesting. And me as a guy who is into fashion looks and nit picks things that i like to create an outfit that would be cool and represent me. That's why people say that I am my own stylist. Because it's all good going buying trending items and making your outfit unique but you can tell who's a trend hopper and who's just buying the first thing they see on tiktok for example nike dunks. Nobody used to wear them and now everyone wears them and I think I have gone sick of seeing them.

Like I mentioned before, fashion trends are cool because every year something from the past becomes hot again. Even styles become hot right now the whole y2k (year 2000)   style has taken the world by storm. Brands have incorporated the whole style in it. Or people have created brands that have taken inspiration from it. A major brand I can think of is Named Collective. Named Collective there whole campaigns have very y2k aesthetics involved in it even their clothing designs look it as well. Right now timberlands and baggy jeans are what's trending. That's mainly due to the rapper Lil Yachty and also celebrities can influence trends. In the future i feel that skinny jeans will be back in trend because they cant be out of trend for long anymore.

I would love to art direct a brand campaign. Starting from the social media adverts. All the way to the website looks. Just everything. Because my mind goes wild with thoughts and ideas for brand advertisements. So working with a huge brand with the budget to make it happen would be great. Id love to work with many Brands but the main brands I want to work with are Zara, Corteiz, Clints inc, Bene Culture, and balenciaga. 

One thing I hate about the fashion scene would be the brands that have come out of the blue and started a brand with no passion and thought. Just creating something that is solely to profit and make a quick flip. Most of their designs would be pre-made designs which a lot of people have purchased from other graphics designers which have no relations to their brand. Generic Quotes. And basic symbols and imagery which have no thought or meaning behind it. I think they are ruining the scene although some of their designs are cool they won't have much longevity. 

Also resellers I hate because years ago a lot of trainers were more accessible to get but now scalpers are buying and botting huge portions of clothing so it isn't possible for most of the public to get clothing for the retail pricing. Causing the price to be at an all time high. Trainers that you could probably buy for £150 which is already quite expensive to me being £500 and these things make fashion items less and less accessible unless you have a whole bunch of money.

The difference between regular streetwear and high fashion is crazy because in recent days i feel like most brands are doing a mix in between high fashion and streetwear in some of the pieces they drop  whether its like the quality fitting and the design of the clothing or the just the overall prints that they put on the designs. Again corteiz is the perfect example of this because they went from simple T-shirts and hoodies with logos on it to creating fur and leather jackets high quality clothing. To try and tailor to both audiences. Which isn't that bad of an idea but your core audience may think you are straying away from them. The differences between the two styles would be one style if fashion is a lot brighter and different pieces of clothing can be put together no matter how different the types of clothing, maybe for example mixing smart with casual clothing like a hoodie, smart trousers and trainers. And the colours can be bright or bland. Whereas high fashion tends to be plain colours or neutral colors, high quality clothing and weird things that people will buy even though they might not like it but they might just want to show off.

I don't really agree with the pricing most brands choose to put on the clothing these days mainly because most brands in my opinion aren't really worth it unless i find that there designs are unique and are a beginning of a new trend like the Msfts boots because even though they aren't my favourite trainers they are something different and other brands could take inspiration from them and make the imagination run wild rather the being basic. Also if the quality of the clothing like the gsm and the weight of the garment are top tier then it would make sense as they would last longer. I would rather pay more for that but if its just a plain hoodie with words written on it then thats a no.Also the actual technical side of clothing matters to me as well because a hoodie with zips on the sleeves or cropped makes a hoodie more unique than a simple fitted hoodie. But my ideal price range would be around £30-£100 for a hoodie any higher is really pushing it in my opinion because I like to support brands and stuff but that's way too much.

Fashion these days can be way too crazy and it can be easy to judge people and get the wrong impression on people from what they wear. Mainly because of the brands and what they release or display on fashion week. Because from what I have seen some of the brands put models in makes me think that it's all for a social experiment. Like when balenciaga made jeans that had boxer shorts attached to it it and also the towel dress they made it makes me think whether people actually wear those clothes outside. I have only seen a few amounts of clothing that has been on run actually being worn outside like the big crocs and that balenciaga defenders they do look cool but i do think the other ones ive seen are quite outlandish.

One of my favourite brands of all time would be Adidas. Due to me liking the three stripes a lot and their collaboration with kanye west even through the controversy i think what he creates and makes is very innovative and inspirational. He usually is first in line to create weird clothing and brands follow on and copy what he is doing which I think is cool considering he started from making music and now is doing clothes. Adidas is also a mainly a sportswear clothing brand and they have separate sections to the brand adidas  and adidas originals. They also have staple pieces which they have made like the superstars sambas and the sambas have recently come back in trend. They also have the best collaborations in my opinion like the alexander wang's also y3 and bape. However i dont like the adidas jeremy scott wings because of how ridiculous the look. Huge wings on the side of shoes does not make sense to me. 

I also love Nike because of their classic collection of trainers, not specifically the clothes like Adidas but I feel their footwear is a lot better and in recent years I've found myself buying more and more of them and the general public buying a lot of them. With their classic collaborative shoe the nike jordan with the 1 and the 4s being the most popular right now out of all of them. And I do agree due to the silhouette being something that can go with most trousers and jeans and colours that can match with a lot of things. I do agree with it being a popular shoe. Also another trainer called the air force 1 i'm pretty sure they were at one point the most popular trainers out there to be specific the white color aswell because it goes with anything you wear due to it being a plain colour and the black colour holding a stereotype.

“How long have you been together?”

“I went into the shop and I said “which is the least expensive because I’m trying to buy a Porsche” and that’s how she ended up with this bad boy.” Tom smirked as he held up your hand to show off your engagement ring.

“I can’t wait to tell our baby that story.” You played along as you rubbed your baby bump.

“When did you know you wanted to propose?”

“As soon as she started whining because the planking was hurting her arms, I knew she was the one.” Tom joked.

“Did you know he was going to propose?”

“Surprisingly, no.” You laughed. “It’s the one secret he’s ever kept.

“I nearly got an ulcer from trying to keep it from her.” Tom blew out a breath.

“Who planned the majority of the wedding?”

“I did.” You declared. “I had to text Tom the morning of the wedding to remind him where the venue was.”

“Did either of you cry?”

“As soon as I mentioned the yoga challenge in my vows, the whole room was sobbing.” Tom teased.

“How big was the reception?”

“Let’s just say, we had all the Avengers there.” Tom nodded.

“All the important ones, anyway.” You joked. “Mackie couldn’t make it.”

“How did you spend your honeymoon?”

“We went to Bali and didn’t see any of it.” Tom smirked, earning a playful smack on the arm from you.

“What’s been your favorite video together?”

“I loved the prank with Josh.” You answered with a smile.

“I didn’t.” Tom shook his head. “I nearly threw hands with a ginger that day. I quite liked the friendship test.”

“What video gave you the fondest memories?”

“Spill your Guts, for sure. That’s when I learned about the existence of this one.” Tom beamed as he rubbed your baby bump.

“What was your least favorite video to film?”

“We already know Tom’s answer.” You chuckled.

“Prank interview.” He stated. “To this day, I hate it.”

“Did you see yourself getting married when you first met?”

“All I saw were the nose hairs in Tom’s nostrils when we first met.” You laughed. “After all, he did plank on me for six and a half minutes.”

“I had a feeling we would.” Tom smiled shyly. “Or a hope, at least.”

You pouted at his sincerity and leaned forward to kiss him, which his happily accepted.

“Have you thought of baby names?”

“Josh.” You answered immediately and Tom groaned.

“I’m kidding.” You rolled your eyes. “I really like the name Ryan Reynolds though.”

”What are you hoping for?”

“An oscar.” Tom answered at the same time you said “A divorce.”

“You already want a divorce?” The camera man laughed.

“Oh, not a divorce from Tom.” You assured him. “I want Ryan Reynolds to divorce Blake Lively so he can marry me instead.” You explained as Tom nodded along.

“And I want to die every time she says that.” He cracked a smile.

“Let’s get back to the baby questions.” The camera man said as you began to move around the yard. “Do you know the gender?”

“We do.” Tom said deviously. “But we’re not telling.”

“Do you think the baby will be more like their mother or their father?”

“Definitely me.” You stated.

“Why are you so sure?”

“Because Tom’s not the father.” You smiled sweetly. Tom stared at the camera with an unamused expression and shook his head.

“Who’s going to be the fun parent?”

“Considering I’m the parent who can swing from buildings, I say me.” Tom boasted.

“Who’s going to teach the baby how to read?”

“I am. And after the baby learns, they can teach Tom.” You smiled as you patted Tom’s shoulder.

“Do you think the baby will like to plank?”

“If they’re anything like their mommy, no.” Tom poked fun at you.

“And if they’re anything like their daddy, they’ll grow up to play the Green Lantern.” You shot back.

“Hahahah. She’s so funny.” Tom forced a laugh at your joke.

“Do you think the baby will develop your senses of humor?”

“Wait, you have a sense of humor?” You asked Tom. “You didn’t tell me that.”

“She loves me so much, it’s crazy.” Tom deadpanned towards the camera.

“Do you want the baby to grow up to be an actor or actress like you guys?”

“I just want the baby to be happy.” Tom gave a serious answer. “Every thing else will fall into place on its own.”

“That’s a great answer. Do you think you’ll post about the baby a lot of keep them out of the spotlight for the first few years of their life?”

“I think we’ll wait until they’re at least 4 months old until we exploit them for our own financial gain.” You said and Tom nodded along.

“Have you picked out the godparents yet?”

“Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal.” You joked. “They’re so excited. Jake said he would take the baby fishing.”

“He’s taken me fishing a few times.” Tom said as he stared off.

“How have you been preparing for the baby?”

“Well, I personally stopped sleeping, changed my whole diet, started lactating, and my pelvic bone separated in the middle so that I could push the baby out. Tom, what did you do?” You tilted your head at him.

“I bought the car seat.” Tom said proudly. “My wife picked it out, though.”

“I also drove him there.” You glared at the camera for a moment, cracking a smile after your joke.

“What are you most looking forward to after the baby is born?”

“Laying on my stomach.” You laughed as you looked down at your protruding bump.

“I also miss laying on her stomach.” Tom pouted as he rubbed the bump. “That was my favorite cuddle position.”

“Aw. I’m sorry we can’t cuddle the way you want to anymore because I’m growing your child inside my body.” You said sarcastically, making Tom laugh.

“Thank you for growing our child inside your body. I don’t say it enough.” Tom praised as he leaned in for a kiss.

“You’re welcome.” You smiled at him before turning to the camera man. “Anything else you want to know?”

“Actually, I have a question.” Tom stated as he looked at the camera.

“What’s that?” The camera man asked. You and Tom looked at each other and exchanged a smile before turning back the the camera.

“Are you excited to meet our baby girl?”

1. the celebrity you thought you had a crush on

It was always so rare for me to have crushes on the people around me, let alone celebrities, but if we're digging up my sins 🤔 Back in 2013 when I was like 11 I saw everyone I followed get super into the SuperWhoLock shows so I decided to watch all of them too. I won't say I was a superwholockian or anything bc I never participated, I just watched the shows because everyone else was, but I saw BBC Sherlock and and I saw how many people raved about Cumberbatch (😬) that I was like "sure I'll have a crush on him." I'm like 99.999% sure I was just incredibly intrigued by the concept of Sherlock Holmes though and not actually Ol' Bendydick Cumquat

4. your favorite thing about being aspec

I suppose I've never thought about that before! It's something I've always just thought neutrally about, so this is new! Hmm

It's hard to answer because I just enjoy the whole experience of it, it's hard to pick out individual pieces that I like!

I like being ace, being demisexual. As a whole, I like being who I am and knowing who I am!

I usually think more about my romantic orientation and how that defines the way I interact with the world apart from the more sexual aspects, though being demi they often go hand-in-hand.

So there isn't a conclusive answer! I just like being me :D

7. a quick summary of how you figured out your aspec-ness

I figured it out when I was younger (13 to 15) and I'm pretty sure I first learned of asexuality here on tumblr and it struck something in me! I began to look into it and microlabels and I experimented with gray-asexuality for a while before I started to notice a pattern with my feelings and settled on demisexuality!

I knew I was queer before then and I'd already experimented with my sexuality. I had settled on calling myself pansexual and I still identified with it when I discovered I was ace, so I decided I was demisexual and panromantic and I haven't looked back!

IK this wasn’t the ask for terminology, but me figuring out the terminology and who I was went hand in hand bc I learned that my experiences with sexuality weren’t the default- finding the terminology made me realize there was more to explore!
