warning for ab/se & toxic relationships. and sdr2 spoilers duh

im thinking abt the remnants of despair. cause i hate how it just seemed to be like, "theyre suddenly brainwashed and then they turn evilll and they kill because they dont feel anything" like, i hate that. it feels so underdeveloped. it cant just be despair, it has to be deeper than that, i think it'd take personal angles and link with a lot of their own trauma, leaving them really vulnerable and deranged. so heres my own interpretation and headcanons for some of them

contains mikan, nagito, fuyuhiko, peko, akane, kazuichi, and brief analysis of the rest. keep in mind i havent seen the animes yet lol so this is a basic layer of it, but i just rly wanted to let this out cus i dont see it talked about. storing my brainrot here for later moments.

first of all i feel like the brainwashing would be a very slow process bc junko would definitely just manipulate everyone in her way to get what she wants. and by the time the world was plagued basically, all the remnants clearly had really unhealthy feelings related to junko specifically. they all love her, hate her, or praise her, but its all in very different ways that would be bc of their own personal backstories

we all know how mikan and nagito feel. mikan was constantly hurt by other people before junko herself, itd make sense for her to develop a very unhealthy attachment to her. mikan was extremely vulnerable and controllable, she would do anything for anyone and especially junko, just so no one is mad at her, hence why it got so twisted to the point where she wanted to keep a part of her inside forever. she wanted to be loved so badly, she would take whatever form of it she could. thats why it was so easy for junko to get her under her boot. now nagito has an odd love-hate relationship with junko imo (his mind is so messed up man) even if he praises hope in such a grossly obsessed way, the mf still TOOK her arm. i know he did it because he hated her so much and i guess to take power back, but i feel like because nagito had never really been loved, he wanted to try and feel what it could've been like out of some kind of confused desperation and fondness for her in a way, because his mind has no idea what those feelings truly are or what they mean, as hatred and love often get mixed up in his head and form this horrible amalgamation with whoever he meets, which is clear towards the survivors in the nwp anyway

fuyuhiko put junko's own eye into his own socket, and i feel like his relationship with her while in despair would be familial and extremely unhealthy. he is definitely one of the most fucked up to me. id say by my own headcanons though its heavily implied in his fte dialogues, is his parents are very ab/usive right from the start. fuyuhiko is messed up to all hell, he was constantly struck and under pressure but he had to be strong and perfect because he was the head of his clan, hence like his insane tolerance for pain. he had to make his clan, or more importantly his parents proud, or else he was a failure forever. so he clung onto that and did his best trying to be good enough for basically anyone. and even before despair he was in a really bad stubborn, mean, depressive state, leaving him far more vulnerable and more open to violent, impulsive actions as long as junko was smart enough to get him under her finger. fuyuhiko never knew what true love felt like (platonic or not), and when junko took advantage of all of that and he slowly fell into despair, shit hit the fan. he lost morality and he had come so attached to her to the point where junko was like a mother figure to him. he wanted her to notice him and be proud basically, it was moreso the idea of someone-- anyone-- being proud of him, but junko was his main focus of that by now, given his state. to him she was like the mother he never had, who seemed to be on the same terms with everything he had believed, someone who approved of him, so he wanted to make her proud, even if it was hurting him. fuyuhiko would keep digging himself a hole of desperation and self destruction, seeking more and more pain to test his endurance because it's what she wanted, and that became what he wanted, too, because pain is all he's used to. and because of that, makotos guess was right; he wanted to see her despair. it'd make sense he'd want to take a part of her, to see horrors she had witnessed so he could understand it, so she could be proud of him and part of him forever. he felt like if he did that, he would finally succeed, he'd achieve perfection, and he did. he'd done everything junko wanted him to do, while quenching his own thirst for violence itself, all via his own delusions. that was love to him and it felt real

as for peko she was definitely also treated the same in the kuzuryu family but more dehumanized obviously, so i think she'd feel a similar way; always needing to be good enough, but more specifically protecting the ones she cares about at all costs even if it results in bloodshed. i think she'd be a lot colder, forcing to suppress her feelings since she just has to follow fuyuhiko wherever he goes, and she was pretty much as insane as him as well so anything slid. i know peko doesnt want to be a tool, but she'd definitely succumb to the fact that she has to be one when they're under despair at the same time, and if she was going to be his tool, she has to be like a robot and just do what follows, because she didn't see herself as a person, her chance of being her own human was ripped away

as for akane, she grew up very poor, and didn't live a good life at all either (w/ definitely bad parents) but she always tried her very best taking care of her siblings in the past, despite everything. i think there was a lot of twisted familial love with junko whom she started to see as a sister despite being unrelated, just because of being a caretaker all her life, its just kind of instinct to protect anyone, but that just got mixed up as she fell into despair, and she would only protect junko, while chaotically killing anyone else in her way. she'd fight for her endlessly, she was one of the strongest, at least for a while, im thinkin she found her body and wanted to preserve it as much as possible by the end of everything, she still wanted to take care of her and do everything for her even if she had been too late. and with that, and barely any food in an apocalyptic world, the inevitable happens. akane would fall into a very hurtful spiral of self hate, that her starving was a sacrifice to junko so she could prioritize her first instead of herself, while also it being like a punishment to herself for her own failures and how she was failing to preserve junko

kazuichi always hated himself. he was bullied often, didn’t have a lot of friends going into high school, and he was very desperate for attention, especially from women. he’d be very notably attached to junko which would eventually evolve into romantic feelings, similar to mikan. he craved attention and validation so much, it left him very vulnerable, and kazuichi often grows attached to people who show him a sliver of kindness anyway, so junko would likely personally manipulate him and praise him, and they’d grow close, and he’d develop a very strong attachment towards her that derails into love and lust. and once he was influenced by her under despair, he would do anything for her. so, he’d get his hands on a lot of weapons, and go on mindless killing sprees, causing havoc 24/7 just to please her and keep her memory alive through despair. and deep in his mind, he probably truly thought that junko was his soulmate, that they were destined to be together, and he was fulfilling missions just for her, and in the end, they could be together

extra stuff i guess? as anyone would expect, sonia just became a corrupted leader and took advantage of her power under despair. her kingdom would try to keep her above it, but she’d fall into it somehow anyway, and probably had already been plagued by corrupt/unjust views by junko before, so she’d lead her people to worship junko the same way she does, and anyone who stood against it would be punished severely. mahiru falls into morbid curiosity because of junko and gets worse, given what she does with her camera, also both mikan and gundham would try to stitch junko up a little, and try to keep her from falling apart as long as possible. mikan is more likely to do that for her own twisted romantic purposes, but if gundham gets a hold of her before or after mikan, he would take her blood for himself, and most likely start a cult to worship her, all for like weird satanic purposes involving rituals and stuff. he’d also encourage his members or the other remnants to indulge in certain activities for the sake of praising her. gundham would probably even believe she was some demon from the underworld who granted him powers and chose him to carry on her legacy

sorry for the delay anon, i wanted to take the time to potentially take some better pics and i had a very busy evening last night lol. tattoo tour under the cut!!!

my futct keyhole tattoo was my first tattoo gotten at the beginning of february :3 i can’t wait to go back to this artist bc she killed it but it also was my most expensive tattoo (understandably so) so i need to save up but i have more non fob ideas i want to take to her based on her portfolio. it’s a little purple cuz this is from when it was still fresh and the purple is from the stencil but i feel a lil self conscious about my arm rn so i can’t take a better pic rn lol it’s not purple tho

this one was the second one i got and it’s a difficult location for me to photograph since this is on the outside of my ankle lol. i got this one incredibly impulsively near the end of february, bc i had a stressful evening and before going to bed i looked up tattoo shops near me that had online booking availability for the next day, and i booked after looking at the guy’s portfolio a bit even tho he practices more traditional styles n traditional tattoos aren’t my fav. i really wanted to get something special to remember my 8ball, and i was really excited and proud about coming up with this idea on my own!! this one i was slightly upset with at first bc i just think i should have waited but now that ive gotten used to it i appreciate it soooo much more!!!! and now im really happy and think it looks cool :) also this one hurt like a BITCH i wasn’t expecting it given the relative ease of my first one (the shading was rough on the first one but that was it), and the guy even offered me numbing spray for the black, but i powered through and he was very impressed with me and said i was tough lol :)

these next two i got at the same time and for some reason i can’t take a good pic of the one rn (it’s got a lot of adhesive on it from removing the second skin so it looks kinda bad right at this moment until the adhesive washes off more, but beware the second picture has a little bit of blood)

pls don’t make fun of my chubby arm but anyways these two i got at the same time just this past saturday from a lady who specializes in tiny tattoos :) the xo is based on how it actually appears on the back of the record, and she tried to font match it and i think it’s soooooooo cute (it’s rly little on my wrist, so little she just charged me for the i swear i say tattoo!!!). i know it’s kind of crazy to get two tattoos for the same song but 1) that’s my song im the number one highest streamer on stats fm, 2) xo has gotten me through so much :( i am considering one more xo tattoo in the future (getting “love never wanted me but i took it anyway” in pete’s handwriting using the font someone made out of his handwriting). but it’s my plan to wait on that one and make that be a far future tattoo, UNLESS they play xo as my 8ball in which case my ass will get it the next chance i get. lol

i maybe have one or two fob themed tattoos i’m potentially interested in getting in the future but that’s like a long term thing, i want to get some tribute to whatever my 8ball may be at minneapolis to go with my fame < infamy tattoo, especially if they play a song that’s one of MY songs, but this is generally where i’ll leave the fob tattoos for a bit and just getting more personal/non music related tattoos lol

i think i like writing most about robert fischer:) ik it probably doesnt translate considering ive written most for jonathan crane but robert fischer is just such a little sweetheart to me,,, and can go both ways in being a sassy dom douchebag or being a sobbing daddy issues sub darling LOLLL i just think he has a lot of duality to delve into and develop (which ive definitely not done so far☠️) and it helps that his characterization in inception was also very surface level— i have a lot of wiggle room y’know??

i think im most proud of “dine & dash” which im aware probably no-one has read, but getting chris o’doyle’s sassy little dialogue down was like taming a wild beast,,, otherwise, considering my more well-known work, i rly liked writing “honey, i’m home”. i go crazy for the unhinged readers (if u couldnt alrdy tell lmaooo) and seeing jackson get messed with like that was a real treat.

i seriously just recommend anything by @mypoisonedvine,,, they’re literally genius & are the reason i started writing for cillian:)!! other mentions include kitten fics by @pictureinme and, a personal fave, @floralcyanidee’s jackson rippner mile-high club fic!!! these writers are all incredibly talented and im just blown away at their work every single time🫶

my thirst is such a big motivator for writing LMAO😭i wrote “guinea pig” ‘cus i wanted to absolute wreckkk jonathan crane and have him be a sub, and i got a 6.8k words long fic out of said thirst! music & book quotes motivate me a lot too— i spend sm time digging thru my pinterest for a good quote for the beginning of my fic its actually insane☠️and yes,,, im ashamed to say ive abandoned fics numerous times,,, but thats because they were series’, not oneshots. i get bored of series’ pretty quickly, ‘cause i feel kind of trapped by the initial dynamic or mood set in the first chapter. with oneshots, its like writing one long chapter of this trope and this kink or whatever and then its done, and i dont have to exhaust myself going back to tropes or kinks or storylines ive already done.

i think reading made me a better writer. expanding my vocabulary through the words of others was a biggie; seeing something be described in a certain way in someones story had me thinking of out-of-the-box ways to describe another thing (that doesn’t make much sense but lets pretend it does😭). i have many, many doubts about my work, like constantly, but i usually just suck it up. i sound like an attention whore but seeing the reposts & comments & tags on my other work reminds me people like what i’ve written before and certain people will enjoy what ive written now, so i should just finish my work for them. i also take like 100 years rereading my stuff until i think its good enough lmao,,,

ive kinda watched his whole roster of films (atleast ones i could actually find on the internet and not gone missing as a lost piece of media lmao) and i could probably write for any cillian character given i had a good idea and proper motivation. writing for certain characters is definitely harder for me to do though, so its likely i wont write for them/will take a long time to do so. an example is lenny miller— anna was such an insufferable movie to me, and lenny’s screentime wasn’t long at all, atleast not long enough for me to properly grasp his character. he just felt like a horny hardass fbi goof the whole time i could not take his 5’7 ass seriously😭cillian is smexy as hell in anna tho, so we’ll see😈another would probably be robert capa from sunshine,,, hes beautiful and deliciously musty in that but the whole spaceship setting kinda freaks me out (considering i know 0 zilch nada about space, spaceships, or anything of the sort, so it’d definitely be inaccurate). an au with him id definitely do, though! Not as hungry actually, i used no cal juice to suppress everything. Also did some research. At 24 hours your body goes into ketosis and you may lack an appetite. Its actually one of the signs your body is in ketosis:)!. So i keep telling myself, after that, i wont be as hungry🥰 AND then tomorrow, its just whatever i did today. But with less of an appetite. So this alll seems so easy. Ill keep an update.

Lewis was an RSA student for all of around 3 months? He immediately dropped out when he realized the school was FULL of goody two-shoes, but also because NRC had also accepted him before and, well, why not? His best friend was there too, after all!

Lewis started the NRTea☕ radio show with James shortly after he transferred. The two had run a gossip column in the school papers before coming to NRC, but wanted to step things up a bit. Plus, they both wanted an excuse to talk about whatever the hell James's entrance ceremony was.

Lewis is actually really proud of his underclassmen (Ace and Deuce [and also Yuu and Grim]) for being willing to stand up to their Housewarden. Before them, he was often the one to pick fights and bite back at Riddle, but nothing ever really became of it. When those guys came around, though? Actual change occurred, and he couldn't have asked for more.

🌙 Casimir

Contrary to how he acts, he actually doesn't hate Malleus OR his posse (well. Except maybe Sebek). He actually holds his housewarden and vice housewarden in quite high esteem, but is certainly intimidated by them. What he DOES hate, though, is also how everyone seems to treat them differently, just because of their status. I mean- what kind of evil overlord is going to be cool with that?! It's a part of why everyone else in his dorm are considered by him to be "lackeys".

Without his persona, Casimir can come off as quite unsettling to some. When he's not keeping up his chuuni persona, he's often a very quiet guy with a habit of staring at. Well. Everything. He's like this emoji > 🧍‍♂️

His favorite character to portray in plays and musicals is surprisingly NOT the villain, but rather the hero who is loved by everyone or the comedic relief. The villain IS still fun for him, though.

🍝🍔- favorite foods and can ur OC cook/bake (+which do they prefer)

🦐 - Yuna's favorite food is mochi, specifically of the red bean variety, though she also occasionally enjoys taro or matcha. They're sweet, but not TOO sweet, yk?

As for her kitchen skills, she's pretty average at both cooking and baking, but she much prefers baking.

🎩 - Lewis absolutely loves shortbread cookies. They're a perfect snack if he's craving something sweet and sure, they aren't tea biscuits, but that's not a problem for him.

He's pretty abysmal at baking, but he can at least be somewhat trusted with cooking. As such, it's not really a contest what he prefers.

♌ - Izem isn't too picky when it comes to foods in general, but if you asked him what he liked the most, his answer would be charcuterie platters. Perfect little snack or full meal, and easy to bring one if he knows he's gonna be meeting his "pride" after classes.

Man is also a banging cook, too. He's been placed on dinner duty in Savanaclaw on a few separate occasions because he's pretty good at it and likes doing it. When it comes to baking, though, please make sure all ingredients are clearly labeled.

🦜 - Rusul's favorite foods primarily consist of artisan breads (and occasionally pumpkin seeds, but he much prefers those fancy, fancy breads.). It's not every day you get to have a treat like that, yknow?

Scarabia already has a good cook, and thank goodness it does. Rusul doesn't know his way around a kitchen for the life of him, but at least he seems eager to learn? If he DID know how to cook or bake, though, I can see him enjoying baking a bit.

🐁 - James can be a very particular person about the food he consumes, however the one treat he can never say no to is caramels. He just. Can't help but fall for the small, sweet treats once in a while. They're just so delicious.

James can't really cook (and probably flunked his Master Chef the first time around so he had to take it again), but he's average-ish at baking. Honestly, though, he probably prefers making drinks to anything.

🌙 - An Evil Overlord should have an equally devious favorite food, right? That's why Casimir's favorite food is dark chocolate. It's sweet, yet bitter, and perfect in small quantities.

Honestly? Casimir is actually not a bad cook in the slightest and prefers it to baking. He won't really tell you that, though.

🩺 - Dr V.'s absolute favorite food of all time is (shocker) almond brittle. Bringing him a small box of it when he's substituting or chilling in the nurse's office is a surefire way to get in his good graces.

Never trust this man in the kitchen when it comes to cooking if you value your life. Despite that, though, Heinrich can make a pretty mean birthday cake. He's also surprisingly good at confectionery, which he actually prefers above both cooking and baking.

For some reason, they’ve gotten brave since Ksoo and CBX left sm (ofc I’m happy that they’re out of the shithole that’s sm). Like it’s 20-fucking-24! And yall still don’t believe that they like each other yet? Seriously? They’ve been together for nearly 15 years at this point. And they are FUCKING GROWN ASS ADULTS! If they didn’t like each other or want to be around each other, then they wouldn’t interact at all outside of work. Yet, how many times do we hear stories of ppl running into them while they’re on LITERAL “DATES” WITH EACH OTHER. Stop treating them like they’re in high school ffs! ok so im unemployed fresh college grad atm and ive got job apps sent in and even an interview lined up but that interview is in the town my dad is in so im staying with my dad but in the time ive spent waiting for that date ive been with an employment agency but the job that place sent me to was the absolute worst and my mental health has plummeted to the point that i’m getting physically sick both bc of the job and bc i feel like i have to keep looking over my shoulder with my dad right there.

i skipped work saturday and today which is insanely immature but i cant think im struggling to sleep and eat bc of this and today i emailed the agency saying i wish to end our agreement. they said they wished i gave a notice (tbf i thought i had when i was like “i’m moving away” on saturday.. but whatever. actually not whatever — that shouldntve been discounted and im not entirely at fault here) but that they wish me the best and i said thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.

earlier last week when i told dad this job is really bad for me he told me to stay working there until i get another job secured. i did not do that and now im terrified of telling him that i quit bc i dont know what hes going to do plus i dont want to talk about it with him i just want to be left alone

miwa flapped their sleeve-covered hands, trying to relieve some of the stress building in their mind. they wanted to help with the investigation, they really did, but seeing another body was sure to render them useless. miwa forced a smile to stave off the pit that formed in their stomach at the thought. they decided to pace the halls instead, to stay out of everyone’s way. miwa rounded the corner like they had several times already, only to be met with a new sight.

“mmh, hey, miwa,” kokichi mumbled. his palm was pressed to a spot on his forehead, and his face was covered in an alarming amount of blood.

miwa startled, then swiftly recovered and hurried over to his side. “what happened?” they exclaimed, carefully examining kokichi’s face.

“don’t worry… i just… stepped through a floorboard…” kokichi replied.

miwa wasn’t surprised. the flooring near kiyo and angie’s labs wasn’t the most stable, for whatever reason. they’d tripped a few times themself while walking around. still, it worried them to see kokichi so severely hurt.

“here, let’s go patch you up,” they decided, walking alongside him.

kokichi didn’t protest, and leaned almost completely against miwa as they walked. miwa tried to ignore the thundering in their chest when he reached up to hold onto their arm. it felt almost like his mask had slipped a little, but it wasn’t like miwa could tell. they weren’t nearly as good at reading people as kokichi was.

after managing to find some bandages, miwa decided to bring kokichi to their room. they helped him sit on their bed before getting a damp washcloth from the bathroom. when they returned, they crouched to move the hair out of kokichi’s face and gently wipe away the blood.

kokichi giggled. “your hands are shaking…”

miwa reacted too fast to hide it. they froze for a moment, then shook their head and continued their work.

“well, duh,” they replied. “seeing you like this kinda freaked me out a little.”

“hmm..” despite the blood loss, kokichi seemed briefly lucid as he studied miwa’s face. “guess that’s not a complete lie, but something tells me you’re not telling the truth, either.”

miwa sighed. of course he would know, even in this state.

“you’re insufferable,” they muttered, though there was no actual malice behind their words.

“wouldn’t be so insufferable if you stopped dancing around whatever you wanna tell me,” kokichi retorted. “i can tell something’s up, miwa.”

miwa reached over to their nightstand, picking up a hair clip to hold kokichi’s hair back while they bandaged the wound. it wasn’t as bad as it initially seemed, so all miwa could assume was he had left it alone for some time before they found him.

“sorry, i just… i dunno. i guess with everything going on, there’s just. not really a good time to bring it up.”

kokichi raised a brow. “well… now you’ve just made me more curious. pretty sure you just dug yourself a hole.”

“i… i guess so. but, it’s still not a great time to tell you, especially right now.”

kokichi didn’t seem deterred at all. he waited for miwa to finish with the bandages before abruptly tugging them down (or, well, tugging as hard as he could in his current state. he seemed to be recovering quicker now that he wasn’t losing blood anymore). miwa stumbled a bit before adjusting to sit on the bed next to kokichi.

“how about,” kokichi paused, probably still having trouble gathering his thoughts, “you tell me now anyway…? who knows when we’ll… have time to be alone like this again.”

miwa had to admit he was probably right. after every trial, their group seemed to want to stick together way more often. it was for the best, but that meant it was hard to have an extended amount of time by yourself without being checked on. still, being confronted with the sudden weight of trying to confess again made miwa want to implode a little. they were stuck, though, so there wasn’t much they could do to avoid it now.

“…fine. but you have to promise to be serious about this. this has been kind of eating away at me for a while.”

there was a glimmer of what miwa hoped was sincerity in kokichi’s eyes as he replied “yeah, of course.”

miwa lowered their head out of instinct as they tried to compose themself. then, after a minute or two, they took a breath.

“i… i like you a lot, kokichi. you mean a lot to me.”

kokichi burst into a fit of stifled laughter, slapping a hand over his mouth. miwa’s heart dropped into their stomach for a moment before he finally composed himself and looked back at them.

“i’ve been waiting to see how long it’d take for you to say it to my face,” he grinned.

miwa blinked owlishly. “you mean— you knew!?”

“yup.” kokichi casually swung his feet. “you honestly shouldn’t be surprised, miwa. i’ve told you i can see right through you.”

miwa finally composed themself enough to roll their eyes. they slouched, propping their chin on their hand.

“like i said: you’re insufferable, kokichi.”

kokichi put a hand over his chest, feigning shock. “you claim to love me and yet you’re saying such mean stuff to me… hrmph, you’re the worst. i was even going to say that i loved you back.”

“wh— really?” miwa exclaimed.

“mhm,” kokichi nodded. “i just didn’t confess first because watching you try to hide it was way more fun.”

miwa sat back up, eyes narrowed. they huffed and moved to look away, but a hand swiftly reached up to stop them. kokichi gently guided their face closer. miwa tensed as their nose brushed gently against his.

“you’re so cute, miwa,” kokichi remarked, and then he closed the small distance between them.

miwa’s hands remained in their lap. they weren’t really sure what to do with them. instead, they turned their head a little and pressed further into the kiss. after what felt like an eternity, kokichi was the first to ease away. he beamed, and miwa could see the usual hint of mischief in his expression.

“soooo… since i’m your boyfriend now and everything……. can you kiss my head better too?”

miwa paused to glare at him, but gave in. “you’re a dork.”

“i’m your dork,” he replied. “and unfortunately for you, you’re stuck with me now.”

as if to punctuate his statement, kokichi flopped over onto miwa’s lap and stuck his tongue out at them. they sighed, but smiled down at him regardless.

“i wouldn’t call it unfortunate.”

i was thinking about my old college friend and how i was shitty to him (in fairness i was kinda shitty to everyone back then idk how i had any friends but thats a different story) and how i wish i could reconnect with him but i surely do not deserve it and my college keeps sending me emails telling me to add my page to the class reunion guestbook or whatever and i looked at the pages and he's literally the only person i know that's added one 😭 he's a doctor in new york now i just know hes slaying w his fashion and annoying his patients w his weird personality but i am also proud of him bc his dad was a doctor who passed away in our freshman year of undergrad so im rly glad he made it not that i had any doubts 😭😭😭
