because i have too much free time

I’m going through and taking screenshots of the new Cyberpunk demo and adding my 0.02 cos its a free country

1. Couldn’t get a screenshot but Bridgette says “She will be de first” which I assume means the character (who is fem V in that part of the demo) will be the first one to penetrate the Blackwall? Speculation atm.

One guy fires a rifle at a flying car and there’s what I assume is a Pres Trump reference/ “fake news” joke. Personally I hope there’s not a lot of these but that’s because I’ve had a gutfull of American politics by now and I’d prefer they focus on the 2020 lore than actual events. The flying car had one of those scrolling banners, said “OUR EYES” before the scene changes.

there are floating constructs. I think they are parking spaces or something for the flying cars (like the skyway in back to the future had hovering stoplights?). The models look identical so its possible that they are either static meshes for decoration, or something the player might interact with (i recall some speculation about a flying car game segment, I know we can’t drive them but there’s still the possibility of a rail-shooter type mission at some point). I like how full the skybox is.

the UI has floating numbers/subtitles, however I’m hoping these can be turned off somehow for the people who prefer a “clean” look.

Didn’t see Jackie in this one, I don’t know if it’s because they intended for Johnny to basically “replace” his character as V’s right-hand man (pleas no not my boy) or if he just isn’t in these particular clips. Sounds dorky but I really like Jackie and I’m hoping he wasn’t the “bioware companion” that just gets killed at the start of the game so your character has some kind of revenge motivation

more example of destructible environments - obviously not everything will be breakable but it is a nice touch and gives combat that extra “oomph”. Unsure if you will be able to visit levels after you finish the mission, so there’s no way of knowing if the stuff you broke stays broke or gets “fixed”

default fem V’s look has changed - she has pink hair and eyes and her hand augments are different. Since this is mid-game gameplay it could be a natural progression/cosmetic changes available or just a stylistic choice on the dev’s part.

male V’s look has also changed and he’s rocking a cyber onsie that makes him look thicc af. Again, unsure if its dev changing the look or if they changed the default design. Also he has a magenta light on his head (and i think those are two earrings). Magenta is a pretty common colour in cyberpunk styles. I know they used to use yellow for V’s eyes and jacket. The default jacket’s light colour has changed from yellow to blue. Not sure why, either the colours are customisable in game or they just don’t like yellow, maybe.

My fallout mind has interpreted this as the cyberpunk version of SPECIAL. My take on these: Body = Strength, Intelligence is self explanatory, Reflexes = agility, Technical and Cool I’m unsure of.

the game still has swears and im happy. the cunt in a convent line was comedy gold please never remove it

I have some things to do so I’ll upload more later. My initial thoughts on the demo is that the gunplay looks fun and the environments are pretty, however some complaints I have:

- there doesn’t seem to be much roleplay/dialogue. Possibly because it was explored in the old demo but I’d like to know if the gameplay has gone the fallout 4 route of prioritising the loot-shoot gameplay loop over story and characters or if we still get a good dose of talking and reading for all of us rpg nerds out here.

- bro wheres jackie haha like hes okay right lmao like...that cinematic trailer was just jokes right....unless??

- the trailer had to be edited for spoilers but a side effect was the editing was kinda janky and made it hard to see what was happening in the video

- no mention of the 3rd class, Techies, just Netrunner and Solo. Maybe they are saving that one for later?

request: hihi i was wondering if you can do a continuation of the bringing their kids to practice with some of the other haikyuu characters? i’d love to see it with kageyama especially but honestly you can pick anyone! thank you :)

a/n: i AM SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG... I have no excuses, i was too sad about haikyuu e wording but i have read threads on how to write characters on twitter and i am thriving... so n e ways i was looking for a reason to write more of these because i just... love the idea of this so tsym for requesting!! if i write more parts, i might do hoshiumi, hinata, atsumu, and... maybe oikawa? i’m a huge bokuto stan so his might be longer than kageyamas im sorry <3 and and ik that kageyama goes to italy but for the sake of i want to write other characters, i will be using the adlers oops. i will also be only doing probably two characters per post for these because i write so much for it. LMAO ALSO these are super unrealistic this would NOT be allowed during pro sports practices but for the sake of entertainment, let’s just... do it warnings: manga spoilers

He had been wanting to bring Kaori to practice for a while but each time he tried to, you would be like no bitch </3

When you told him that you had to go into work and couldn’t schedule the nanny in time, he was like “I’LL TAKE CARE OF HER!!!”

Honestly you were only against him taking her because you were still mad at him for leaving her in the high chair for a while and you came home to her crying and him just knocked out

He had brought Kaori into post game interviews before but you were always there so this would really be the first time he’d take care of her by himself for a period of time longer than an hour

He’s a good parent dw !! he had just spent the whole night thinking about the most random shit and he ended up sleeping like three hours

It had been a while and he had actually shown to you that he could take care of her by himself so you were fine with him taking her to practice

He was super pumped and was practically shaking in excitement (he was texting Akaashi the whole morning asdlfjskdf)

Like he would put her on his shoulders and they’d run around for hours

How he has so much energy goes beyond everyone but it’s fun to watch

You lectured him for half an hour about what he should do in certain situations and unlike most times, he listened really well because :(( the baby cares about Kaori

Both Kaori and him actually walked with you to the train station and saw you off before heading to practice !!

He normally drives to practice because he has a super nice car and it’s easier to drive with Kaori instead of public transportation

When they get to the gym, he goes running in with Kaori on his shoulders

“WE HAVE ARRIVEEEED!!!!!!!!”

cue Hinata cheering super loudly

Kaori’s giggling and being all cute omg i love her

She was being carried in on her dad’s shoulders so Bo lets her down and she immediately runs (read: waddles quickly) to Hinata

“Hinata-nii!!!!”

Hinata starts crying-- jk, no

He goes “Kaori-chan!” and scoops her up in his beefy arms

At one point at practice during a break, she stole Atsumu’s water and was running around the gym with him chasing her

He was ofc not actually chasing her cause he found it cute that she was trying to steal his stuff

Atsumu’s like “bro, we’re the same age”

Sakusa ignores him

She ends up TRIPPInG AND ATSUMU’s LIke “Oh fuck”

By the end of practice tho Kaori’s fine !!!

She’s back to her regular happy self so cute :(

And hey, remember: sexuality and romanticism and gender are all fluid. For some people, they change and shift over time. So if you’re aro now, and later on you realize you’re grayro or demiro or something like that, that’s valid. That doesn’t make the time you spent identifying as aro any less valid, either. This is a lifelong journey, for many people, probably including myself tbh. And who even says you need a label anyways? If you want one, then by all means, find one you’re comfy with, but you don’t need one if it’s stressing you out too much. But, hey, identify as aro for now if you want to. If later on you choose to change that, that doesn’t invalidate you or anyone else. It’s okay.

And yeah, big agree, romance movies always seemed p rushed to me lol. I’m here like “what do you mean people date each other to get to know each other??” Like, my aspec self does not understand lol. I think it’s likely why I’m so into friends-to-lovers/mutual pining/slow burn type stuff when I read shippy fics lol, I can’t vibe with the faster-paced stuff because it seems so unrealistic as someone who doesn’t experience the world like alloromantics (and allosexuals) do. Also, I also grew up thinking the point of dating was finding a spouse, but that’s because I was raised in the church and that’s what my dad raised us to believe, and also why my parents’ rule was “no dating before 16 years of age minimum”

I’ve played most of deltarune but I got stuck and then my computer reset and I didn’t finish it lol. But I watched Jacksepticeye play the whole thing!! It’s just been a while so it’s hazy, I didn’t obsess over it as heavily as I did Undertale back in 2015/2016 lol. Still very excited for what comes next though, even though I’m not super caught up with the background lore and the fan theories lol.

so, as expected. i’ve pretty much have shut myself out again. nothing interests me anymore, rarely ever happy or excited for anything in my life. mostly uninterested and disappointed by anything and everything, even by things or people that i love. i found a new song i liked, well i heard it from him, i’ve really let the lyrics run through every crevice in my brain. i really relate to it, to the point that’s i find it pathetic, not one person deserves to feel this way, kinda relieving that it’s not only me. my life is good, i have parents that take care of me, a brother that loves me more than anything in the world, but yet not satisfied or happy with anything in my life. i’m sitting in my bed listening to the song on repeat, it’s helping me explain myself to you, in this paragraph. i’m self deprecating, i set myself up to be disappointed, i self sabotage, to the point that i get fed up and mad, i hurt you then i hurt myself. i ruin “the party”. aka, your feelings. i promise i don’t mean to, you’re trying, but it’s not enough.. it’s not what i want. i’m sorry, i’m not picture perfect, even the smartest of people make mistakes, right? the thing there is they correct their mistake, make it even better than before. that’s what i want, that drive & satisfaction, not only for myself but i want you doing it for me. it’s a lot to ask, i know, it’s a joke that i pick the worst of the bunch. (not saying you’re bad, you’re not.) i mean, i know my standards are unrealistic, i’ll never meet someone who meets all my check marks, unless i craft them myself. so when someone or something doesn’t meet my standard or what i expect, i’m disappointed. 3 days in a row i’ve single handedly managed to not only ruin your night, but my own as well. i’ve already ruin this one, and it just started. i won’t get over how i feel, i probably won’t even be able to tell you why i’m bothered, i don’t want to hurt you, but i’m ghosting, which probably hurts more. i leave there to play a guessing game, you probably think i’m gonna leave you. i’m not. the song is playing still, my phone is on 4%, i don’t really know if we’re gonna talk again tonight, i really don’t want to. i know we won’t do anything i want, you’ve made that pretty clear, you don’t enjoy what i like and vise versa. i’m not going to ask either, i know you’ll only do it because it’ll make me happy; if you’re not happy with what i’m happy with, then i’m not happy. i have 0 excuse for my behavior, im not even sure why i act this way, i always do this, it always happens. i mean i’m either too much for someone or i’m nothing, right now i’m being nothing. a pain in the ass really, i’d give up on me as well, it’s tiring. anyways, im rambling, i still have no idea what i’ll do about this, im sorry.

im back

hi just thought id pop in with a status update! maybe i’ll break this down into categories. feel like im doing an email update (ew!) but this rly is probs the best way to structure this post...

work / school (?)

work has been....aite. idk what to say. idk if i have unrealistic expectations of what work is supposed to be, but the idealist in me thinks its wrong to not even try and find something that seems meaningful / is deeply fulfilling. i think im mature enough to get that work isnt supposed to be fun / exciting every single day but bro this daily grind / sense of dread / utter disinterest / feeling of futility / frustration / disenchantment surely isnt the correct state of affairs.....at least let me try and find something that is a better fit, thats more stimulating, that feels more NATURAL to me? i just dont think im cut out to be a lawyer. sure i sometimes like arguing and making my point and i like that everyone i work with is smart and interesting and generally kind and reasonable and i like the prestige of the job and feeling like ppl respect me and i like the decent pay and the humane hours but.....i feel unmotivated to be a good lawyer. i think i find it difficult / disingenuous to always 100% get behind my client and advocate for their best interests. i tend to see things from a zoomed out perspective, like WHY are we fighting, WHY cant we just settle, WHY are the claimants pursuing this absolutely crap and unmeritorious claim and WHY do we have to defend it when its stupid and bound to fail (cos access2justice i guess but still, WHY), WHY cant we just hash things out in a meeting instead of sending emails here and there and wasting time, WHY do we have to answer stupid questions, WHY WHY WHY

and i think public policy is sort of an answer to that....i think theres more questioning of why we do things and why a policy will or will not work, in a macro sense - what is good for society at large. whereas in law (at least in litigation) its how can we just move this case forward and help the client, which is often not the most productive thing to do in a macro sense - very much a zero sum game. i get that shitty / unmeritorious claims still need to be defended against and someone has to do it and I GET IT but i just dont think i want to be that person defending these claims...or bringing them for that matter.....ultimately i cant fully / sincerely separate the overarching sense of futility from the duty to do a good job.

sigh. well at least ive kind of figured out this isnt for me. which is scary cos being a lawyer in this firm is pretty much a career for life - truly an iron rice bowl, i could probably make partner in maybe 4 or 5 years and live a comfortable upper middle class life...but i cant bring myself to do that. i cant bring myself to not give myself a shot at doing something i actually find interesting, stimulating and that i care about deeply. call me crazy! we’ll see where this brings me in 5 years’ time....:)

idk. will have faith that God will put me where I need to be. he is in control of it all and I BELIEVE THIS !!! I am just a bit scared that his plan is different from what i think i want....but this is just my human instinct and i know in my head that there is no reason to be scared cos his plan is always the better one. head knowledge just needs to translate to heart understanding and real trust / faith.

i started using...cmb...idk why i find this so cringey. i guess about a year ago i couldnt imagine doing this and i kept thinking EW what if ppl i know see me and they think im a desperate saddo who cant find a bf irl and has to resort to an app EW shes so lame and ugly and gross. and i realised that is so stupid no one actually thinks that way and its very backward and dumb and insecure of me to be thinking that. and anyway as i get older i rly dont quite give a shit what ppl think of me (at least i tell myself that....)

i suppose i was also inspired by csm who has been quite actively using apps and meeting ppl and taking real..strides..(LOL) in her dating life. i used to tell myself hey God will provide u with a mans if he wants u to be with a mans. but also God can use an app to do that...and if i dont step out in faith that he will do something and i dont take any action at all, how is God gonna work?? should i sit at home and expect a man to fall into my lap??

for some ppl it has been way easier, e.g. my parents meeting in uni and falling i love. i always wanted that - the organic relationship, the meet-cute, the friends to lovers thing. (i guess i tried that last one before and it didnt work...) but i think theres no point in romanticising relationships anymore. thats a very modern thing to do and its not necessarily a good thing? like who’s to say a relationship that had organic beginnings is intrinsically better than one that started from an app?

anyway i havent had much luck haha i think its hard to find genuine GCBs (or maybe theyre just not attracted to me....) although recently ive been talking to this one guy B for a week or two and its been...ok i guess. hes rly nice and seemed cool at first - we talked about travelling and hamilton and the office, which was a good start. he is thoughtful and kind and doesnt seem to be put off by my very slow replies (he replies so fast......its stressful a bit) and he does the whole good morning text thing (which i frankly find a bit bizarre, we barely know each other..?? and ive never even met him irl.. but its sweet i guess :))

but DUDE his english seems to be not great - at least thats the impression i get from texting him. which is an issue for me. i dont want it to be BUT IT IS...first red flag was when he said some weird thing about not wanting to wear a mask at work (not a literal mask - like he didnt know if he could be his ‘true self’) and the wording was very strange. then he said “the weekends are almost here” ?? the weekend is not a plural though? then he used the wrong tense a few times and his apostrophe usage was wrong (”Gods’ love” - bro there is one God). he also uses way too many commas which irks me.

i mean i get that text is supposed to be an informal medium - come on look at this post, there r hardly any capital letters and plenty of short forms and hardly any apostrophes but u see its CONSISTENT and its obviously cos of laziness / convenience - but i think his problem is a bit different...u can sort of tell if someone doesnt have a 100% strong grasp of english. those r basic grammar mistakes man...i get that i sound petty and stupid and this isnt a huge deal but i feel like im settling by even talking to him cos this is not something i wld normally tolerate but hey maybe im getting desperate with age :(:(:( urgh

on the other hand maybe i just need to be more generous with ppl and l have an irrationally high standard for english cos i am a lawyer and my friends all speak well / text well?? maybe im just being too nitpicky?? honestly hes very nice and communicative and straightforward and seems mature and very God-fearing and idk why hes still talking to me cos ive been a bit cold and slow to respond. hes very patient which i dont rly deserve.....i myself have a million flaws that are probably way worse and egregious (ahem PRIDE...ahem ego....ie the source of this dilemma in the first place...) so maybe i should just close one eye abt the bad grammar.

i also realised how fked up i am - confirmed my suspicion that i am naturally attracted to emotionally unavailable ppl / ppl that just seem distant / out of reach (thats my avoidant attachment style right there). i think there was one day he didnt text me at all and omg...i couldnt stop thinking what i did wrong...like did i piss him off by being too cold for too long...did he get scared off cos i said i wanted to do a masters (idk this seemed like an irrational leap but i was being irrational)..then i started being nicer to him and replied more promptly hahaha turns out he was just rly bz at work that day. omg this pattern is real i think i did this with xj also - was eager to speak when he was in japan but after meeting irll i was just over it... (i am drawn to distance like a moth to a flame and i am repelled by availability like....a fire by a fire extinguisher (??)). yucks i rly hate myself sometimes but yknow what at least im self aware and im trying to fix this...kind of.. gonna hash this avoidant thing out with my therapist at the next sesh.

on the topic of xj i got a bit nostalgic and wondered why we stopped speaking (surprise surprise it was my fault, didnt reply then felt it had been left to long to pick it up again...) went back to look at our texts and aw we rly got along so well, i do miss him as a friend and im sorry about how poorly i treated him especially in dec 2018 / jan 2019 sigh.....i was a real bitch....

anyway im just gonna see how things go with B... if he asks me out i prob will go... just to give it a shot. update if / when that happens!

so. the thing about va. is that. we dont have SPORTS! we kinda bum off everyone around us, which means for college basketball, we go to duke vs TARHEELS WOOT WOOT (also its hilarious that nc state thinks that theyre somehow in the picture for that rivalry like lmao) and then i think the cavaliers do okay for themselves in football, and i think thats the closest we get to a Known team from va? also we have the tides in norfolk, who feed into the orieles, but like does anyone actually follow the minor leagues??? and because the nationals in dc are closer, everyone follows them instead of the orieles for the majors so its just wah???? and then obvi the redskins (whom i did not realize where in dc for THE LONGEST time) for the nfl and that about it. my fam goes to tides games sometimes, and also penninsula pilots games, which are really fun bc its all homey and old school, and thats about the extent of my sports knowledge. yes technically local for me right now would be la but honestly fuck an la.

So Fucking Many. um. lemme think. i reread thief of time by terry pratchett almost religiously but it still manages to get me just as much as it did the first time, so not that one. (if you asking what book id want buried with me, however, that would 100% be the answer). maybe the belgariad/mallorean by david eddings?? bc the ending of that makes me cry like a fuckin baby holy shit. but i swear theres a better one...... Every time I think I have a handle on this infefior Fe thing or even start to consider wether I might actually be a feeler or something, a THING happens

"Sometimes I feel like you wouldn't care if I died in a ditch somewhere?" Seriously? Does he have eyes and ears in his head? This just comes out of fucking nowhere like WTF

I mean I know that relationships are supposed to be work and that there are no perfect people, but I thought Id finally found a person who actually likes me being me and gets deep stuff and now he's giving me all this vague shallow bullshit about doing my hair nice (but NOT in ways he doesnt like. Im already disentangling long hair I would otherwise never bother with every morning because of him) i lost like 15 kilos just like he wanted.

Would always listen to his - and I dont even want to be citing this like its some chore I do, i listen to him because hes an interesting person- I just thought he thought the same of me but now im wondering if he realizes im a person at all. All this whole tirade because I did not feel like fucking after an ardous journey. Like I like it aa much as he does I go along almost every time but im a *person* who is tired or busy sometimes

Yet here hes going on about how there ought to be some ill-defined "excitement" when talking to the opposite gender that he somehow says isnt there like I dont even know, or have a sense for what hes talking about

- and that compliment sandwich about "oh sure in some ways yore smarter than me" even though hes the one whose career is taking off and shit and ge tscked on "get a job"

Thats ehy I was reluctant to move in together because now it would be a huge hassle to exist snd im just going to calm down and do nothing and well just stay there being mildly but not critically miserable out of sheer inertia or at least that was the silly nightmare thst I kept telling myself was just anxious bullshit jitters that made no sense

It really makes me want to never talk to humans ever again and at the same time I just feel stupid because I realize how childish and overdramatic that seems

Its not possible not helpful so I wont actually do it but like all of this just drains my already limited energy that I could be using for useful thongs or at least to enjoy my holiday

Like I would like to claim that Im a poetic soul behind my shitty social skills but what do I even base that on? And it frightens me when people aufdenlx bring out those vsgue formless things I have no control over and treat it as if it were indicative of ME.

Thats why I always preferred to express myself in writing over the intertubes. Its not like people never misunderstanf or dislike me for that but at least its for flaws or positions that are part of my actual personality

I think im beyond all this and older and wiser and more differentiated and understand everything better but in the end im still sick of being seen as a freak and having to play all these pointless social games

“Utter Garbage” or “I trust Isayama”?

We’ll start with the scale questions. The range was 1-5, from “utter garbage” to “I trust Isayama”. I realize that isn’t an accurate scale, but “I trust Isayama” is the comment I hear most when discussing Isayama’s more questionable decisions.

RATE THE CHAPTER (451 responses)

The reaction to the chapter as a whole was pretty positive. Only 23% of people ranked it towards the “utter garbage” side of the scale. A majority were optimistic and almost 23% of respondents were downright confident Isayama is going to pull it off.

This chapter has really grown on the more times I read it.

[It] seems so naturally easy for a group of teens to gain success, while the character we learned to appreciate experienced nothing but death. it feels unfair [...] but if Isayama is doing this, there must be a reason.

While there were definitely aspects that deserve creation (for instance we all know the amnesia thing was lazy writing) but overall I don't think the chapter was bad. I think the kids' unrealistic attitudes in battle was purposeful juxtaposition to the way our main cast has experienced war--it shows the extent of the brainwashing ...

Although there are a lot of cool elements, it's all just handled so badly and doesn't flow well at all. I hate just about all of the new characters. Everything about it feels lazy, rushed, and badly developed. Though the war stuff and new tech is cool and refreshing to see.

I always enjoy seeing what outsiders think of Paradis and the main characters. I appreciate how Isayama handles themes such as government propaganda and the way each side in a war can see their cause as righteous and just.

I thought this chapter was actually pretty cool. I've fallen hopelessly in love with Gabi! Fingers crossed that Annie gets the f*** outta that crystal soon though!

Seeing the extent of Marleyan brainwashing was exceedingly well done.

The random amnesia thing was really lazy and half-assed.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE TIME SKIP? (452 responses)

I’ve never seen a scale so evenly divided. Opinions about the time skip are all over the place. A slim majority picked the safety of the middle option.

The time skip is perfect and Gabi is the best.

The time skip was needed for story progression but a lot of important questions and interactions were skipped in terms of character development. I just hope we get some of them in flashbacks and not have them completely disregarded

Timeskips should be illegal

After reading the full chapter and talking to someone else about it, I feel better about the timeskip. This chapter made me feel for RBA more, because they must've started out like Gabi and the rest.

I believe there is no time skip but the chapter takes place during chapter 1-90 of the manga. So its showing a different perspective on the manga

Time skip means we will see older version of the main characters and that's both exciting and terrifying af

Feeling about the direction of the story are almost a mirror image of the "Rate this Chapter” question. Despite disagreement over the time skip, confidence is still relatively high.

Love the story right now so much. The mix of ww1, fucked up war morals, fantasy is a personal favorite.

I will like this chapter, but only if Isayama concludes this story with a good twist, that is. If not, chapter 91 will in my opinion be the beginning of the end (end in a bad way).

Isayama fell asleep at the wheel

It's definitely not how I thought it would go, and it seems like it may only pay off if we exceed the previous 110 prediction for chapters. I've seen a couple of theories about the new characters and parallels between the Trost days for our characters. I will be extremely disappointed if we get no answer on what happened during the lost year of chapter 90. Or the lost 3 years between that and 91.

i think the story has potential still, and im interested to see how it will work out. im also just hoping this flash to the marley side isnt gonna be too long.

I think this is going to be really interesting and we get to see the other side of the fight and their perspective.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE CHAPTER (451 responses)

The reveal of the Jaw Titan was completely overshadowed by the brief glimpse of Reiner and insight into Marley. 57% of the vote focused on those two things.

Imagine how the poor kid that inherited "Cartman" felt like upon learning that that thing was their award for winning the marleyan hunger games.

I thought this was a pretty good world building chapter (despite the jarring time skip), especially since we've been waiting many chapters to see this place. I don't ADORE these new characters, I'm more intrigued, which is better then hating them. This is also a good set up chapter. I'm interested to see if Reiner will interact with these new characters. Since they look so similar to the 104th (design and personality), will he constantly be reminded of his past relationships with them? Plus, will he see some of himself in them (specifically Gabi) and through them reminding of himself we'll see his backstory? And is he going to just except his fate and get eaten, or be like "Screw this, nope, not dealing with it."

If respondents have their way, Zeke’s short term future is very secure.

I also believe that Zeke will keep the Beast Titan (at least for a while), but ultimately Colt will be the one to inherit it. Zeke story is far from being over.

If Levi is taking down the beast titan and he finds out that not only is Zeke already dead, but his replacement is a weak-brows version of Erwin, I really hope it gives him pause. That could be such a heartbreaking, earth shattering moment for him and I hope Yams handles it right.

Attack on Clones

New character, same face. Most of these are self explanatory, but clearly I asked the wrong question with Falco since the majority picked “Other”. Grisha’s friend and fellow revolutionary Grice should have been an option.

Strong resemblance confirmed! I was especially please that the majority agree that Colt most closely resembles Erwin. Since I passionately hate the name “Colt”, I see this as permission to call him Erwin, Jr, or “Jerwin”.

I don't really see a strong resemblance between the new cast and the old.

When I saw the new characters I thought: would the children of our main cast look like them?

Part of me wants to say that some key characteristics about Gabi not only resemble Eren or a younger version of him, but may also express some of the characteristics Isayama originally wanted to use for Eren when he considered making him female

I was waiting for the story to explain what's going on the other side of the ocean. But not from these "copy and pasted" brats. Reiner is seen in just one panel and Zeke is barely mentioned. That's a shame.

I'm interested to see where this goes but a good 75% of my thoughts are concentrated on what the main characters possibly look like after the time skip.

I honestly dislike how Isayama uses these new characters to show us what Marley and being a warrior is like, instead of showing us RBA and Zeke's past :(

Really enjoyed the way the characters were presented. It gives the reader the chance to see Marley's side of things without being forced to have a story-generated opinion on them (aka screaming at us to hate them) because quite frankly, I was rooting for those Warrior kids to succeed with their plan!

Very unexpected change of character view from our beloved heroes to their"enemy"'s point of view. But I also think it's come at a good time in the overall SnK storyline.

It's disappointing. There's so much potential in the series but I feel like Isayama just wants to get the series over with.

I’ve asked this question with each poll and in the past “The Vets” have had the edge. That changes now. I suspect many of Erwin’s fans are no longer interested in the series and certainly not interested enough to take a poll. This number may continue to decline since “The Vets” now consists of only Levi and Hange. Fans of the “The Warriors” remain consistent in their dedication.

Well today was fine. Got to sleep in a good amount, which was glorious. I woke up sometime around 1:30, I think. I ate breakfast (chocolate chip eggo and cupcake) then got ready and headed to the grocery store around the corner cuz I needed food. I was running low on pretty much everything since I haven’t gotten to make a real grocery run since coming back from spring break. I was also prepping to make a big meal that I could use as leftovers during the week. I just started using this app called mealtime that helps plan healthy meals based on your dietary needs and likes so I thought I’d give it a try, the first one was sesame chicken and broccoli with rice which looked pretty good so I grabbed a few ingredients for those as well as my normal other stuff (and probably more snacks than normal because finals). Came home and unpacked everything, then went to stick my little monopoly game pieces the store is giving out on my board and found I won a $50 grocery gift card haha but before I go claim it or anything I’m gonna go read the rules of everything about if you can only claim one prize because I’m pretty close on a couple others too haha so we’ll see where that goes. They have a ton of prizes, which range from literally $5 cash to $1 million, lol. I started to do laundry, which ended up being a whole big thing because nobody in this damn building would move their shit out of the washer and dryer. Like when I’m doing laundry I’ll only ever leave it in there for like ten minutes at the absolute most, but this was getting ridiculous, and then another person came in and it ended up taking all night to get two loads done, so through the rest of the story of the night you can assume I was regularly running back and forth between the laundry room and my apartment. So I started to cook and the recipe was straightforward enough, cut up the chicken and mix it into an egg and cornstarch mixture (strange, but whatever) then pour into into a skillet and cook, then add the broccoli, and then the sauce and you’re pretty much good to go, served with rice of course just made the regular way. It was pretty good, definitely had a healthier feel to it haha not that that’s a bad thing, but I have a good amount left that should work for leftovers and such so I’m pleased with that. After dinner I settled in and caught up on my tv for a while. Started with designated survivor, which I didn’t tweet much of because I was somewhat distracted, but it was a good episode and the plot keeps getting better without getting too overcomplicated. Im not all that sad to see Aaron go really, and I like Emily so I’m glad she gets more of a main role now (I also had absolutely no idea that that actress is married to Robbie Amell and was at HVFF last weekend and I totally missed her). But yeah, good episode. Blindspot next, which made me lol a bit because Zach Grenier was in the episode who was of course on the good wife with Archie Panjabi and now they’re both on this show. The episode felt a bit non-traditional since they weren’t really doing the whole track down a tattoo thing, but it was still a solid and intriguing episode, so it’s good with me. Idk where they’re going with the Reade storyline, but it’s nowhere good and I’m not happy about that really. Sigh. Time after time was after that, which was one of their weaker episodes so far but it still wasn’t bad, just had a different feel to it since they were in a different time period and focusing on one specific thing as opposed to their main focus of just tracking down John in 2017. Not a bad episode though. After that I turned on Chicago Justice, which was yet another episode that managed to piss me off quite a bit. Like, yes, the good wife was riddled with legal errors, but they were actually fairly intricate pieces of legal doctrine that they messed up on, it’s clear they were actually consulting lawyers about these things. I don’t think Chicago Justice is doing that at all, because their mistakes are terribly blatant and this episode made me cringe so many times over. Like first of all, the plot was real bad- cuz this judge had gotten shot any one of their first suspects is his teenage foster daughter and I was immediately like aw hell no, if they turn this into an evil foster kid killing their benevolent foster parent thing I’m gonna flip a shit on them. Thankfully that’s not where they ultimately went, but I was still majorly bothered with the way they treated her. They ran after her like she was wanted, and then ended up tackling her and bringing her into the station to be interrogated like any other suspect. I’m sorry but no, you have no authority upon which to forcibly bring her in, because she’s a juvenile you’re required to notify her guardian you have her in custody, you have to have the guardians consent to question the minor or at least have a third party in the room, they have to call a juvenile probation officer to be there immediately, and they need to start a points analysis in order to figure out if they actually have the authority to keep her in custody. But did they do any of that?? NOPE. They acted like she was just a regular adult suspect and not a CHILD, and I’m sorry but that ticks me off in all the wrong ways, so that was enough to make me rather irritated at the episode. The route they ultimately took was at least preferred to where they seemed to be going with it, which was that a rape victim killed the judge after he let her rapist off with a light sentence (they were definitely paralleling the Brock Turner case) but then they turned it and ended up making it her ex-husband who had all sorts of anger problems and such. And then they pulled this stupid stunt at the end to try and enrage the defendant to blurt out his confession in the courtroom, and of course it works, meanwhile in real life no lawyer would EVER try to pull a stunt like that, and everything would be totally inadmissible anyway so it was just highly unrealistic. So I obviously had some feelings there, lol. I’ll give it a few more episodes at least though, because despite its issues it has potential to be a good legal show. I need to hop back on the bandwagon for 24: Legacy though because they did bring Tony back for one episode and I need to watch that because Tony is like my original tv bae and he’s pretty much my hero, so that has to happen lol. And that’s about it, finally got my last load of laundry out at midnight haha but at least I got two loads in. I do have some more dirty clothes floating around, I just need to actually deal with all of the clothing on the floor and figure out what is dirty and what is clean, so we’ll see when that actually happens (probably after finals). Church in the morning which I’m quite excited about being that I haven’t been in three weeks and I definitely missed it (and the babies, I missed them too). So that should be good, and now I’m good and tired so I will bid you goodnight until next time (which will be tomorrow, likely). Goodnight dudes. Stay awesome.

Hi! OMG! I'm ecstatic to be here! I know I'm not a strong personality in this community but I am ready to be playing with the cards I'm dealt with. I love my tribe already. Its a pretty pink one, and I'm a complete sucker for anything pink/purple. The B is back!!!!! So first off I only know Lily on my tribe, but that's okay because I love ha and she has a relationship with Nicholas so that's already half the tribe. HOWEVER I'm hoping we can avoid tribal for a while since there are 3 tribes and therefor I assume a swap not too far off. I would say I'm okay. I should at least not be the goat. Haha. I know Nicholas for Malibu. And Brian from Atlantis. Nicholas is such a sweetheart. I love him to death. We were in alliance and I flopped but he was always good to me. Brian however also in an alliance together.... went well until he lied to me and voted drew out and wasted my only advantage. Literally. Heart broken. I want to work with Brian because I also love him and think he's hilarious. Plus he's related to Jaclyn so that makes him just that much cooler. Hopefully things go well. Hello there. It's me, Bodhi. I'm here on the Ysabela tribe, and I don't connect with ANYONE. (except for Dana who I know from before <3) I might be able to connect with Jaiden when I get the chance, he seems like someone I'd get along with /alright/ and I'll need that. I've talked for a fair amount of time with Julia and it was so uninteresting that I have no idea what we even talked about. Hopefully that's just a temporary thing. Adrian reacts in over the top silly ways that feel semi-artificial. I've barely talked to him so ideally that's a wrong impression. Dana I love, and I know that she'll protect me if she can <3 Chris hasn't even responded to me. I feel fucked by this tribe. Either everyone sucks, or I'm on the outs. I'd not be surprised by either. It's hard. Rob knows he said he was going to be a neck-snapper, but he gave up. Rob's disillusioned with orgs to be honest. They're not fun for him and they've been so stressful. Rob met great people, but he also met not so great people. It's been a lot of disappointment. People don't talk to Rob. He messaged Zach yesterday and Zsch said nothing yet talks in Vl's. It makes him feel unimportant, which he is. Rob doesn't know what he wants in life, and he's lost. Ever since Rob started watching Survivor, it seemed so amazing to him. You go out in dangerous habitat and survive the wild and sneaky people to try and win a million dollars. It was amazing seeing Natalie Anderson win. And ever since, He dreamt of himself being in her position, having Jeff Probst say, the winner of Survivor in front of a live audience. It could even be in an org, but it's never going to happen. He is no winner, Rob won't get his happy moment, he won't even be on the actual show. Rob need to discover himself. Rob thought he was mature, but Rob's not. He's turning sixteen in 6 days, and there's still things he's learning about himself. He's emotional, and he need to just think about him, not other people. Rob needs to find himself, and then he can achieve his dream.

we won reward!! i'm super happy!! my social game is a bit weak right now, so i'm hoping to win immunity just so I can use that extra day or two to strengthen my bonds. So I'm in an alliance now! I know it sounds really exciting, but its a 2 person alliance so it kinda lame, but I also love it. Alliance name: With Werthers We Win and its with the lovely Kai. Kai is a new player and is very active socially. He also watches the show and has some good ideas on how we can play the game together. He sounds really trustworthy but that doesn't mean that he wouldn't stab me in the back like everyone else. But he is a sweetheart and also hilarious. Ok so I fucking SLAUGHTERED that challenge. It was "name things that fit x category and start with the letter H" and I thought so far out of the box that I forgot to throw the immunity challenge. Dana is the only person on my tribe that I really like, but I'm close enough to everyone else that I know they'd vote on my side for the first vote. Dana and I are considering throwing a few challenges just to get rid of these inactive uninteresting people. I'd totally be down for that. I wish we'd lost this immunity challenge because Jaiden is REALLY getting on my nerves. He said swag unironically, and listens to screamo. Fuck. NEW DEATH GRIPS MUSIC CAME OUT TODAY. You never know what can happen. You can be the happiest man alive, and then the most tragic thing happens and it all changes at a dime. You're friend betrays you, you realize you've been lied to, or people lose their lives. It's scary, it's a scary world we live in, you don't know what could happen, and that's the scariest part, the fear of the unknown. But, we can't live in fear. We did horribly on that reward challenge and we still managed to get first in the immunity challenge, EVEN WITH A TRIBE GETTING A 15% ADVANTAGE OVER US. Like that is fucking iconic, and really I don't know how to feel. Like when it was announced to us that we won, our tribe really celebrated because it really boosted our morale and really lifted spirits high.

whew so this is my first confessional! i am in a pretty decent position on my tribe! i love all of the members and have talked to them all a ton besides madison. the vote tonight should be very easy and straightforward and also beneficial to cut the dead weight which has been holding us back thus far! i absolutely love and trust lily and know she has my back...for now!

Alright, so I gotta catch up with the happenings of this game and my perspective in all of them. https://media.giphy.com/media/a3HwA77QREoo/giphy.gif So the game kicks off and I'm on the pretty pink tribe that's kind of like the color of watermelon sorbet (or perhaps strawberry sorbet.. it's been a long time since I've had sorbet... and now I want some). It's called Ysabela and I like to pronounce it like Isabella - the name! But then there's that issue of me probably saying it wrong and I should look it up. The opportunity to meet new people and make new friends is what I live for. It's a wholesome diet. There's... Adrian, Bo dhi, Dana, Jaiden, and Julia It can be argued that I know Jaiden, but since we don't talk at all (and haven't really in the like.. one (maybe two) games that we've played together I'm going to say we don't know each other and stick with what I previously said. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyway, when the game started, the first challenge was for reward and it was a live trivia show about a Bahamas video that we had to watch. I got to work making sure to private message everyone on the tribe. At the very least, it would take away that "inactive" excuse to vote me out if each person had received a message from me individually. Dana responded and apologized to me for not speaking because she was graduating and said that she felt it made her a target and I chose to read into it because it seemed like she was reading into it. And she said that she hadn't heard any talk yet and that it would be naive of her to think that I had heard zero talk - but I'm not here to confirm that I haven't (and I haven't) so I told her that I hadn't heard anything and that - at the very least if we agree not to vote each other we only need one more number to successfully tie and that wouldn't be so bad. She agreed and said that she'd rather not tie. This is either the beginning of an alliance or the beginnings of me planning my own demise. Anyway immunity was posted and it was the super most fun game of all the times Scattergories. Only it was like.. Tribal Scattergories where we couldn't talk to our tribes and had to submit in secret so like.. no strategizing for the group - only personally. And therefore the research that one had to conduct for success in this game had to be excessive since you'd have to potentially out think EVERYONE ELSE in the game. I knew I wasn't allowed to talk specifics about the game - so nothing about the specific categories or whatever because of the rules, but I still wanted to vaguely talk about it, so I chose to talk about like.. the game in general with Dana. Just like.. how I think Scattergories can be crazy when people try to make up answers and then have to justify them, etc. and apparently Dana found out that she was playing the game wrong and like.. flipped her lid on me. She told me she had been making HUGE LISTS for the game instead of just coming up with one thing that she thinks she would not have in common with other people and she thanked me for getting her back to the right path. And.. I personally see this as a small step towards solidifying something more solid? I dunno.. thought I'd mention it. And if they think we're going to move on to the next challenges and flop then.. so be it. Anyway, they voted out Madison who, herself, self-voted so like. Good choice for them! West Week Ever: Pop Culture In Review - 5/12/17

In movie news, it was reported by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola that there will be an R-rated Hellboy reboot film. Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen will star Stranger Things‘s David Harbour in the title role, and will be directed by Neil Marshall (The Descent). As most fans were holding out for a Hellboy 3, this news came as quite a surprise. Still, it won’t star Ron Perlman, nor will it be directed by Guillermo Del Toro, so folks are a bit hesitant. I think Harbour will be good in the role, and I remember enjoying The Descent, so I think the franchise is in good hands if the intent is to scare the audience.

We got a trailer for Blade Runner 2049, which did absolutely nothing for me. Back when I was in college, I did a summer in London where I was supposed to be learning about globalization. Instead, the professor had us watch Blade Runner. I still don’t know how the two topics tied together. Anyway, I hated that movie. It tried too hard. Like Peter Griffin describes The Godfather, it insists upon itself. It wants to be so deep and mysterious, with its whole “Is Decker a Replicant?” thing. I just wasn’t a fan. So this sequel isn’t exactly on my Must Watch list, which is a shame seeing as how I’ve loved Ryan Gosling since Breaker High. Yup, even in Young Hercules. Some folks seem excited for this film, though, so good for them I guess.

Over on cable, shows are playing musical chairs. The Untitled Black-ish Spinoff that we talked about last week may now be moving to Freeform It seems that the audience that tuned in were a bit lower than what ABC would like to see for a Wednesday night, but the demographics are perfect for the show to be on Freeform. Meanwhile, fantasy series The Shannara Chronicles is moving from MTV to Spike TV (which will soon be rebranded as The Paramount Network). I never watched Shannara, but it didn’t seem like the kind of thing that belonged on MTV, except for the fact that it starred pretty teens. I’m not even sure Spike is the right home for it, either, but maybe this is a hint as to how they’re planning to use The Paramount Network.

Speaking of cable, out of nowhere it was announced that Donald Glover would be the showrunner for a Deadpool animated series on FXX. Yeah, that Donald Glover. It’s odd that we’re not getting season 2 of Atlanta until 2018 at the earliest because of his other commitments, but he’s gonna have time to do this? He’ll be running the show with his brother Stephen, but it still sounds like a tall order. I’d rather have Atlanta. Plus, this just feels like it’s gonna be Marvel’s Archer. 10 episodes have been ordered for a 2018 debut.

On basic TV, Modern Family scored a 2-season renewal, with the grown-up cast members getting a raise from $350,000 to $500,000 an episode. The contract negotiations came down to the wire, but in the end ABC was able to keep its Wednesday night lynchpin. I honestly feel like this show should’ve ended 3 years ago. I stopped being able to really relate to them when I realized they whole upper middle class status made their lives unrealistic. They never seem to have money problems, they can take trips and do whatever they want. It’s funny – the same reasons I hate Roseanne (they were so damn poor) is what I feel are missing from Modern Family. Plus, there’s the elephant in the room in the form of Ariel Winter. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, she has grown up into what some might call “hot as shit”, yet they still frump her up on the show because her character, Alex, is supposed to be mousy next to Sarah Hyland’s Haley. If they really want to make these final (yes, I’m calling it: final) two seasons interesting, they will address this fact, and force Haley to realize she’s no longer the “hot daughter”. That might actually make me watch the show again.

Meanwhile, The CW officially ordered Black Lightning to series. This would typically be seen as good news, but I can’t help but feel like the Berlantiverse is too big and unwieldy at this point. Whenever a new show is introduced, the existing shows suffer. Everyone loved Arrow until The Flash came along. Then, they loved The Flash, yet felt Arrow had slipped. Then Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow debuted, and The Flash suffered while Supergirl was praised. This has been something of a rebuilding season across the board. Supergirl had to adjust to a network switch, while Legends saw an increase in quality. Arrow saw a return to form, while The Flash is doing whatever it’s doing over there. Flashpoint or some shit. The point is that the existing shows are finally heading in the right direction, but that doesn’t mean it’s time to introduce a new hero. In fact, I feel like Legends should be a proving ground. If a member of that team becomes a breakout fan favorite, then they get a spinoff. I’d be fine with Black Lightning as a member of the Legends, but I don’t know if there’s enough meat on that bone for him to have his own series. And can you imagine the FIVE-WAY crossover we’re gonna end up with next season?! I was already disappointed by this season’s uneven four-way, but to add another show to that? Sure, it’ll be a weeklong event, but it isn’t necessary.

So last Thursday night I saw Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. I didn’t mention it in last week’s post because I’m trying to switch things up. It’s unrealistic of me to expect that all of you are able to see a film on opening night, and I also feel like you’re less likely to read my post if you think I might spoil something. So, I figured it best to sit on it a week so we’d all be on the same page. Anyway, what did I think of the film? I LOVED IT! I might even love it more than the original.

I’d say that this is probably the most emotional MCU film, as it’s more about family and belonging than it is about Infinity Stones and Winter Soldier. Star Lord’s story really hit home as a fellow child of the 80s, raised by his mom, who also didn’t have his father in his life. Now, instead of being a god, my dad simply died. But I’m sure I probably also wished Michael Knight was my dad at some point in my childhood.

What’s the movie about? Well, the Guardians are split up after a caper gone wrong. Half of the crew stays behind to fix their ship, while the other half go off with Star-Lord’s long lost father, Ego. But all is not as it seems with Ego. And that’s about all I’ll say about that. I can’t think of a single that I didn’t like about the film. Actually, scratch that. There was one thing: The Watchers. They just looked hokey, and I would’ve been fine if they’d never been introduced in the MCU. That kind of stuff belongs in the Fantastic Four Fox movies, but I like to think the MCU is more grounded than that. Their appearance looked and felt cheap to me, but luckily it’s only for a split second, unless you count their after credits appearance, too. Maybe it’s just because I typically hate most things about Cosmic Marvel, but the Guardians movies have slowly brought me around.

Internationally, the film has already crossed the $500 million mark, so I think it’s safe to say it’s success. They’re already talking about Vol 3 which, supposedly, will set up the next decade of the MCU. While I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that (again, I’m not a huge fan of Space Marvel), I’m eager to see how they pull it off. For all these reasons, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 had the West Week Ever.
