They don't like big loud parties despite this they still stand guard against any predators attracted by the noise.

Many broods have a big fear of critters so Milton moss lets the defenders bring them to come see his critter care center to get use to them and even let them hold some!

Smidge definitely gets adopted by the defenders and loves that she has a friend group who can keep up with her workout routine!

Creek and kismet finally get to meet each other which makes branch and poppy go into friend matching mode where they try to set up friend dates for them!

Trickee has a soft spot for broods which also extends to non borrower trollings and boy do kids exploit it

Sky Toronto asks for the help of scavengers and rescuers a lot, for some reason they’re both very good at finding and retrieving rare party items they’re very fast at it too.

Borrowers are known to sleep in packs so it’s not uncommon for other trolls to find branch and kismet snuggled underneath a shaded tree dozing off.

Sometimes poppy will remind defenders that they’re not living in the compound anymore and can join in the parties the offer is usually declined but poppy will still save some cupcakes for them.

I drew a postcard for my show :) the concert was really amazing I had so much fun. Genuinely one of the best nights of my life.

Idk if people want to avoid spoilers so I’ll put my rants below.

It was so AWESMOEE I have so many thoughts on each and every songgg that was my first concert experience EVER and ohh man it was spectacular

Heathens was SO GOOD LIVE. Was genuinely my favorite part of the show and HEATHENS ISNT EVEN MY FAVORITE!!! like I don’t dislike any of their songs but I have a very long list of favorites and heathens is not in it. However that being said it was spectacular. I had the most fun during that song I think that song was actually made to be played live and not for suicide squad

The transition from heathens to next semester is so so good. I didn’t notice the similarities in those songs until they were back to back. I do really wish they had played all of next semester instead of like. Half the song but it’s okay the rest of the night made up for it

THEY PLAYED GUNS FOR HANDSSS THAT SKNG MEANS SO MUCH TO MEEEE AAAAAAA I almost started crying when I heard the tune it was so so good. That song genuinely like. Made me realize so many things about myself. I’m so glad I got to hear it live

The thing with the lights in mulberry street was so cool. Honestly the whole show was so interactive he kept calling to specific parts of the stadium and had certain people doing certain things I loved it. Tyler really made sure that even the people wayyyy in the back were having fun and that the people in the pit were getting their moneys worth

After the proctologist line Tyler yelled GROSS!!!! Really loudly and I thought that was funny. He then said “you guys are wayy cooler than me. The only difference is I’m on a stage and you’re not you guys are better than me. Anyway we’re taking a photo losers.” I love him

Aaaaa YES :’D I am very much a fan of the ol’ “while you weren’t paying attention your life has actually gotten substantially better and there are things to be happy about now” kind of realization, and that was definitely the goal with that comic (also I don’t mind people bringing my older stuff up at all! :D alskdjfj looking back at that one does crack me up a bit because I drew the whole thing ON Dazai’s birthday, no advance planning go figure akskdjfjfjf but if it looks a bit rushed in places that’s why)

5. name had "no idea saifah would do something like that"

so much is missing. what's the whole story here? I still believe that saifah is innocent. he might've accidentally shot him or something, I dont know

okay, I love you saifah, but telling him to forget about you is really freaking selfish

it may seem self-sacrificing, like "he'll be happier without me on his plate" but it's not. it's downright selfish.

there are things at play here that you're not thinking about, and other things you're not aware of

such as, you dont know that sailom is now kind of hopeless. because of what you supposedly did, kang now hates sailom, so sailom can't tutor him, so sailom can't get the money to pay off yours and his debts.

as for the things you're not thinking off?

you forget, your parents are both dead. you are his only family left. he is your only family left. he wants to understand the situation so that he can get help for you to get out, so that he isn't utterly alone, and so that you can get out of the terrible environment that is jail. he can't just forget about you, because you are all he has.

and this is both not thinking of and not aware of, sailom doesn't like to accept help from people for free. he doesnt have kang's financial support anymore. and his friends are offering help, but he has no way to pay them back for that help, so he wont accept it. but he wants you back, deemed innocent, so that he can get his boyfriend back, his job back, his happiness back. he can't just forget about you. he needs you.

1. Fav characters besides Lum and Ataru ?? Aaaaa I would have to go with the big three:

RAN: she’s so fockin funny and her personality switch up is my fav and not to mention her character design is BEAUTIFUL like I feel like if you saw a pic of Ran without knowing any of the characters you would think she’s the main protagonist

SHINOBU: it’s crazy how Shinobu was originally the main character alongside Ataru before Lum was (I know she was robbed from the spotlight and her man but STILL) and I love how insane hers and Lum’s rivalry was like holy shit I felt so bad for Shinobu. But as the series progressed I’m glad the two became friends and the awkward tension between the three characters died down (Shinobu, Lum, and Ataru). I also luv how much of a sweet heart and has such a gentle voice, but could flip a bus if she needed to AND be beating TF out of men 10x her size.

2. Okay funniest moments aaaaaa I would say there’s too many to count but I think one would be the time where Lum was training to fight this bully without her powers to prove to a underclassmen like “you can do anything if you put your mind to it.” And Lum arm wrestles Ataru and just completely fails and when Mendo gets a turn she just SHOCKS THE SHIT OUTTA HIM

Another would be the time with the gossiping flowers, and everyone thinks Mendo wet the bed when he was younger when it was actually Lum and she just LEAVES HIM OUT TO DRY AND TAKE THE BLAME. Wait now that I realize it these are just when Mendo gets hurt by Lum, I PROMISE I DONT DISLIKE MENDO AT ALL IT’S JUST FUNNY

3. Moments I’m most excited for the show, look I know Urusei Yatsura isn’t only about Atalum and I like the episodes we’re getting but CMONNN. WE’RE GETTING SO MUCH ATALUM CENTERED EPISODES AND IM SO SO SO EXCITED IM EATING PLYWOOD. Particularly very happy to see the Inaba arc (finally Shinobu gets a good man even though it’s kinda rushed) and the Boy Meets Girl ending AAAAAAAAA IDC IF ITS THE SAME SCENES WE’VE SEEN TWICE ALREADY IM ENJOYING EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

LIKE every line you made- for example the lines you did on the old onceler's suit, GOD and his chain WHAT (i always go to that drawing because you don't know the feelings it transmits to me) i loved what you say about Onceler Aftermath, about what it represents regarding the fandom and how you added so many references that i know are very significant and nostalgic for the fandom and the people who formed it at the time

And for your question: NO I absolutely had no idea what the future held back then, nor did i think about it! In 2012 I simply lived for the moment, moment to moment in a state of obsession. I don't think anyone can predict how things will be looked back on in 11 years while you're just enjoying the moment in present time. The way people engage with fandom stuff has shifted greatly in the past decade, attitudes about "cringe" keep changing too, things that are hilarious to us right now could be seen as problematic in another 10 years and vice versa in ways that you're unable to conceive of at present. People have gotten art careers thanks to improving their art through the onceler fandom, others have gotten married to someone they met through the fandom, and others have been traumatized and feel weird when they see old fandom posts being reblogged...there was no way I could've predicted any of that at the beginning. It was my first fandom, tumblr was still relatively new, and the internet was a very very different place! And I was also a very different person.

Thank you so much for the encouraging words as well - I try not to get too in my head with worrying about whether or not people will like what I have planned for future plotlines, or if I'm writing in a way that stays true to the spirit/plot of the OG show while still being different enough to be entertaining/engaging... AtLA is such a precious piece of media to me, so I hold myself to very high standards, which can be detrimental when I just want to get a chapter out but I keep rereading it and finding little things "wrong" that need to be fixed lol.

I also have some small headcanons for this one :DD

1. I bet Rung would be collecting various feathers beside his arks and ships :D❤️

2. Ravage would have so much fun messing around with poor birdies bc he's a cat and i just think Ravage would enjoy bullying them :D

3. I think many bots would politely pick (kidnap) Avians to match their plating colors and just overall would keep them perched (tottaly not willingly) on their shoulder for display

4. Decepticons, mostly seekers, would use brightly colored ones for training like in harry potter where he had to catch the golden snitch. I think seekers would use them for this

5. The djd members would kidnap them for work, since they can fly and since they are able to keep a low profile to be a spy or a messenger bird

6. Ratchet would totally like to have a Woodpecker or Great Gray Owl by his side

Oh and don't even get me started on the various scenes you could come up with😭❤️

6. You know I think rung would have an army of ravens or crows. He doesn’t know why they keep following him but he tries to be nice.

I can imagine Starscream having a peregrine falcon avian and he would not shut up about them being the fastest. Or he would get a pigeon because it’s funny. Or a goose because they’re assholes.

I can also imagine autobots teaming up or forming an alliance with the avians after they realize they’re sentient, and rather than forcibly having them by their side it’s a mutual partnership. The decepticons still do it forcibly, it would be interesting to see the relationship between an escaped avian learning to trust an autobot.
