one of my favorite things about zedaph is that on a server full of people that find strange and oft-overlooked minecraft mechanics or rare events and then see just how far they can push them in the name of spectacle or efficiency or world-breaking, zed is over here finding these mechanics in order to do the weirdest things he can think of in as entertaining a manner as possible

like i 100% have faith in zedaph's theoretical ability to be just as efficient or spectacular or world-breaking. if he wanted to do that stuff, i trust that he absolutely could. but thats so far from being his priority. instead, hes going to spend around a week of irl time focused entirely on eventually having the good luck to spawn in something insanely rare so that he can convert it into something even rarer, the result of which being something that 99% of the server reacts with complete and utter shock that it even exists in the first place, just because its zany and funny and he wanted to. and i love that

things that could’ve saved outsiders 2016:

• gave the farrell women leg hair wtf

• gave hasil + sally ann the most screen time. by a big fucking margin

• explored the farrell’s culture more instead of just showing a couple mountain parties and shallow expressions of a nebular sort of ‘worship’ for their depthless folksy religion

• made big foster’s rape an actual plot point with narrative weight and consequence instead of using it as a graphic pre-intro sting and then never giving him any notable trauma or feelings on it at all nor have him even mention it to the rest of the family

• gave krake the second most screen time

• had even a single person acknowledge the farrell <- -> feral thing that would’ve been funny

• made kyle gallner wear a collar and bark like a dog

The dragons that the ninja ride at the end of Hunted should have been Rocky, Wisp, Shard, and Flame rather than Ultra being killed off screen.

Maybe Ultra originally returned to the First Realm to learn how to split themselves into four again? Idk I just need them to be there.

i don't really go here so feel free to push back on this but. as funny as the "i'm an ally!" line is i also think it's such an interesting manifestation of the specific struggle buck has with his sexuality. like, he's not using it as an identifier label for his identity per se. it's more of a deflection/denial of the root of his discomfort.

it was already clear at the restaurant but it became so evident in his conversation with maddie. buck was clearly nervous about going on a date with a guy, he had never done that before, and when eddie walked in he panicked even harder, lying about it being a date. and he feels so bad about it. but despite mentioning himself that it's his first date with a dude, he can't seem to make the connection that that's where his reaction is coming from. "so why do you think you did that [lying to eddie]" "i don't know"

because he's an ally! he's cool with gay people! so the not-straight thing cannot possibly be the problem. "shouldn't be, right?" he has a hard time grappling with how he feels and how this might change things for him. and i just want to grab him by the shoulders and tell him that it's okay to feel weird about your own newfound queerness. these are your feelings, it's new, it's different. being okay with yourself is a whole different beast than being okay with others.

I’m being so ffr rn, if the show runners definitively show that Buddie is not going to happen?

I’m probably not going to be watching anymore.

I mean it when I say that they’re literally the sole reason I watched this show in the first place. I saw a billion TikTok edits of them & was like “Idek these characters I need to watch this show and see what’s going on over there.”

And like, it’s a fun show, I’m not saying it isn’t, but first responder shows are a dime a dozen. There are other shows that have queer characters and found family and wild adventures. Granted, they don’t have Buck & his bi arc, but I’d still read fanfics to get my Evan Buckley fix lol.

I don’t need them right now, I’m so down for the slow burn, will-they-won’t-they & the pining & the yearning & the build up and the GOOD foundation. I want to see Eddie figuring himself out and dealing with his repression and figuring out he’s queer (& Demi, pls God. I hope if I just say it enough, I can will it into existence somehow) before anything happens with the two of them, but if they take definitive steps to have one of them like, marry someone else or something, I think I’m gonna head out. Find me on ao3 for the rest of my days lol.

Hermitcraft season 8: started with Grian but ended up watching him, scar, xisuma and mumbo

Hermitcraft season 9: started with xisuma but ended up watching him, grian and scar (+ joel for crossover)

Hermitcraft season 10: started with xisuma but ended up watching him, grian, scar, mumbo, joel, skizz, ren, etho and tango

I also marathoned all of season 1 xisuma in 4 days at the end of 2023

This is not including the fact that ive been rewatching season 9 and dozing off while videos from etho and tango play in the background most of the night.
