"Zoro?" You huffed, laying still on the floor of the quarterdeck, eyes shut as you bathed in the sunlight.

There was no response and you frowned, calling again.

"Zoroooo."

A few beats of silence, followed by clunking on wood and and a grunt as shade was cast over your closed eyes. There was a thump and you grinned.

"What?"

You cracked open an eye lazily, staring at Zoros' face as he bent over you, watching you closely.

"Are you mad at me for yelling for you?" You muttered, head bumping against his leg, crossed under the other that his arm rested on.

"Maybe. I was trying to take a nap. Didn't work anyways. What are you doing up here?" You simply turned your head towards him, eyes flitting over his face for what seemed like the thousandth time.

No matter how many times you saw him, you could never seem to get over his profile.

"I was helping Sanji with the tangerines. He needed my help picking the fruit and watering the plants." You sighed, turning on your side.

He made a face, somewhere between disbelief and what looked like jealousy, but you couldn't tell. Not as the sun glared at you from behind him.

"He promised me food if i helped him," you protested at his look, rolling your eyes, "Don't look at me like that."

"How does that pertain to me? I never said anything." He shot back, failing to hide the flustered look at his eyes as he realized you'd caught him. "Zoroooo- you're making the face again," You giggled, rolling onto your stomach to stare at him.

He pretended to look confused, but you knew him like the back of your hand, thinly veiled distress underlying his features.

"Give it up Zo, you're jealous!" You teased, running a finger along the hemming of his pants. "Am not," he said plainly, averting your eyes.

"Am too-" You hummed.

"Am. not." He leaned down, baring his teeth slightly. His earrings jingled in the wind, gently swayed by the breeze.

Before you could stop yourself, you grabbed his face, fingers grazed barely by the golden earrings.

There were freckles littered all over his face, barely noticeable unless you looked close enough.

You hadn't realized they were there until after the fight with Mihawk, when you stayed at his side, leaning over him hoping he would wake up. They were like little mini constellations, a galaxy you could kiss, although you had never said that to his face.

"Have i ever told you how pretty you look?" You left kiss after kiss on his cheeks, skin burning despite how stoic he looked on the outside. "You've got a grin like the devil yet the aura of an angel."

"Shouldn't i be saying that to you?" He huffed, pulling you closer. He obviously didn't want to let you go.

"You should. I want to hear it more from you," you said, expectant for the tiniest bit more you could milk from this, "tell me how much you love me."

Zoro's gruff exterior softened slightly as he looked into your eyes, whispering under bated breath, "You're as beautiful as always, Y/n."

"Well, in that case," you said playfully, "you're incredibly handsome, Zoro. My one and only."

A rare smile played on his face, and you looked around quickly, leaning in to give him a soft kiss. The breeze seemed to pick up, salty sea air filling your lungs.

As you broke the kiss, you let out a laugh, "I think we both needed that."

Zoro nodded in agreement. "Yeah, maybe I'm a bit jealous, but I can't stand the thought of you spending too much time with that damn cook."

You chuckled, running your fingers through his green hair. "Don't worry, Roronoa. You're the only one I want."

He pulled you closer, his arms wrapping around you. "Good," he murmured, resting his forehead against yours. "Because you're the only one i need."

week 3 / small commitments challenge “There is no race to win. Only a stroll.”

Yes, emerging adulthood is a privileged phenomenon. But with great privilege comes great responsibility and I sometimes feel the need to know exactly what I want in life from career to friendships to romantic relationships to family and how I will handle challenges in each of those domains that may have a chance at or will definitely come my way in order to be responsible. But that's an impossible ask at this stage of my life. I don't even think I can know all of what I want in life for decades to come. I keep changing. And it would not be wise now to run around in circles, chasing my tail, coming to no conclusions, or to rush the decision making process and come to conclusions that aren't well thought out. Sometimes I feel like I should make these decisions faster whenever I see others in my life around my age making them or having made them already or just generally progressing faster in life than I am. And other times, for seemingly no reason at all, I pick up the issues again from the backburner in case this time I stop chasing my tail...but that hasn't happened yet.

We all have different experiences that lead us to our varied and valid conclusions. Perhaps my peers have just experienced enough to come to theirs. Which means I just have to keep exploring different options until I feel informed enough to make those decisions for myself. And when I've made those decisions, I'll have to commit to them fully (well, 99.9%) so that I can be free in mind to become as good as I can at whatever I decide to do. This doesn't mean I'll stop re-assessing my circumstances periodically as that's how one spots better opportunities and improves themselves, but equally important is only changing direction when there are objectively good reasons to, not just because strong feelings of FOMO or self-doubt pull me so (those feelings can and have been useful in telling me when smth is genuinely wrong about my current situation but they can also be to my detriment when they arise primarily because of the voice in my head whose sole purpose is to be a pessimistic nay-sayer/bully).

In other news, the ochem midterm was this week. I studied as hard as I could for it all week, but that meant I didn't start on the new module (not covered on the midterm) for this week, hence the absence of a true weekend 😭 3 more weeks to go (including 1 week JUST to review for final woohoo!! [no that isn't sarcasm, i genuinely need that time lol]) and then we're NOT doing any more ochem at uni (self-study, maybe, but istg never again in a squished timeframe like this 😭). (Also wowwww can you tell i'm tired by the number of times i repeat the same words and emojis in a short paragraph... Adrenaline [or is it the sun? 😒] had me waking up before my alarm all week, averaging 7 hours of sleep a night 😭)

Da Vinci Magazine Jan. 2024: A Q&A with Ai of B-Komachi!

In the January 2024 issue of Da Vinci magazine, there was an in-character interview with Ai as written by Aka Akasaka that you can read a translation of here! What I forgot to mention on that initial post is that there was also a little lightning round Q&A the original anon didn't translate at the time. Thankfully, they did post it and I just... completely forgot it existed until now. ;9 Shout out to past me who remembered to save it and kept me from having to dig thru the 4chan archives for it...

Unlike the original interview, this is my translation! So any goofs and gaffes are entirely on me lol. This is also totally spoiler safe, so you can read both this Q&A and the original interview no matter what point you are in the series.

Get to Know Ai Better! Q&A Session

Q. What motto do you live by?

A. I really like "Tomorrow is a new day." I'm one of those people who forgets all their worries after a good nights' sleep. (laughs)

Q. Tell us how you refresh yourself!

A. I like taking naps on my days off. I was saying earlier that I forget my worries once I've gotten some sleep but with this job, it can be hard to find the time to actually do it. Not just that, but lately I've been waking up in the night to take care of this and that, so when I do have the time to sleep, I really conk out.

Q. What is your routine on days off?

A. I wake up, prep some milk… oh, um - I like cornflakes so I always need milk for breakfast. Then I go for a nap (laughs). I know some of the other B-Komachi members like going to beauty salons or nail salons, but I don't do nails and I let my hair grow out so I'm usually just at home (laughs). I even cut my own bangs! I've been doing it for years so I'm pretty good at it. I've even cut other peoples' hair once or twice, though not anyone in B-Komachi.

Q. Your 20th birthday's coming up soon. What are you looking forward to doing once it arrives?

A. I want to try drinking alcohol. The president of my agency keeps saying, "I can't wait to have a drink with you!" He makes it sound like a lot of fun, so I'm curious to know what getting tipsy's like.

Q. What book left the biggest impression on you this year?

A. It's a manga, but I was moved to tears by "I'll Go With Sweet Today". The heroine is a girl who distrusts people and develops anorexia, becoming terrified of eating… I have a bit of that in me too, though not quite to the same extent she does, so I could really relate to her and her journey to recovery really moved me. If there's ever a live-action version, I'd love to play her!

Q: What would you like to do after the Dome concert?

A: I'd like to go on a trip or something. Where would be nice... Oh, I've heard of 'Mito Natto' before, so maybe Mito!

Q: What's something a fan said that made you happy?

A. You know, I didn't used to read any fan letters at all. But there was a time I was getting tired of being an idol and I was planning to quit, so the president made me sit down and read all the letters I'd gotten. That was the first time I'd ever realized just how much support I was getting and it made me go "in that case, I'll give them all my love and support in return!". I even wrote a song about it. So now I treasure all the letters and words I get from my fans. I actually got a gift from a fan recently, some 'star sand'. It was really beautiful and my real name "star" in it, it made me really happy. I've still got it displayed in my room.

Q: What is "true love" to you?

A. I guess if I had to sum it up, I'd say true love is being a genius who doesn't lie. I think maybe people lie to avoid lying. I'm not sure if that's a good answer and even I don't know if it makes sense, but it's just something I feel.

Q: Do you think you're a liar?

A: Hmm~~? That's a se~cret! (laughs)

Obey Me Bros React to an MC with Narcolepsy!

This is almost purely self indulgent. Also based off of my personal symptoms! Also small rant but I absolutely do not think Belphie has narcolepsy. I feel like a lot of folks don't have much knowledge on it and make assumptions just bc he sleeps so much. Also did not include cataplexy in this! I felt it would make it much too long lol.

TW: falling asleep while driving is mentioned, alcohol use is vaguely mentioned

LUCIFER

Admittedly, he doesn't know much about it before you join the program. Has a slight assumption that you'll just sleep a lot like Belphegor. Learns very quickly that that is not entirely the case.

His first introduction to your narcolepsy is when he hears about you falling asleep during class, and he's a little irked. You have to explain it to him, and you simply can't help it.

He gets to see it up close and personal when you fall asleep at the dinner table, hand barely holding up your head, plate untouched and eyes fluttering closed. He watches you intently, unsure of how he should proceed. He lets you rest, hushing his brothers and waking you up soon after, urging you to finish your dinner.

He finally understands when you're one of Diavolo's parties, as usual, he kept a close eye on you, watching your hips sway to the music as you danced with Asmo, seemingly having the time of you life! Until you suddenly stop, starting to walk away, almost tripping over your own feet as you go to sit down. He think's you're sick for a moment, before watching you lay your head on the table and quickly doze off.

Is on top of any medications you may need to take. He sets a fairly strict schedule, making sure you get enough restful sleep to reduce sleep attacks during the day.

If you struggle with insomnia, he'll help you sleep in anyway he can, even if it's lending you his coat or his very comfortable bed.

MAMMON

Has no clue what it is, firstly assumes it's like epilepsy. Which he also has little knowledge of.

His first account is when you first arrive, he's walking you through the RAD halls and you start to trip over yourself, head seemingly bobbing back and fourth as your eyelids flutter. "Wha? Did ya not sleep right or somethin'?" You have to explain to him what it is, and he probably doesn't fully understand it yet.

As you grow closer, he lets you drive his prized Demonio 666 Lexura. Very rarely, but he couldn't ignore the sparkle in your eyes when he joked about it. He starts to panic when he sees you slightly drift to the side of the road, just barely noticeable, and he realizes you're having trouble keeping your eyes open. He quickly takes over, heart still racing at the thought of what could have possibly happened.

Definitely takes it more seriously after the car incident, he refuses to let you drive anywhere, almost ever. It's very rare that he'll let you behind the wheel.

Once he notices the insomnia, he's definitely confused. "I thought ya had that sleepy human disease?" He cocks his head at you, pursing his lips. You have to explain the science behind narcolepsy for him to really understand.

He also likes to keep you to a loose schedule, calling in a favor with Belphegor to make sure you're asleep by a certain time.

LEVIATHAN

Has an idea of what it is, only because of NarcoBerries from one of his games. Very vague idea, however. Guesses that Narco = sleep, so some kind of sleep issue.

His first encounter with it is when you're playing Devil Kart, one of the first few times he's let you in his room, and he looks over to realize that your eyelids are halfway closed, and your controller is slipping out of your hands: He panics for a moment, not wanting to touch you, but settles on leaning in and calling your name. He's shocked when you startle, eyes still half lidded and yawning. "Sorry Levi, can I take a nap in here?" Before he can respond, you're already halfway asleep. He let's you lay there, grabbing one of his extra pillows to throw at you.

The encounter that makes him understand a lot more is when you go to a human world convention! You'd been friends for a while, and you were both so excited! There's an unmistakable excitement in your eyes, and he's so giddy! He wouldn't call it a date, but probably thinks of it as one, secretly. He's quickly disappointed when you're sitting down to eat, and you drop your fork onto your plate, head slowly dropping down. He lifts your head, not wanting you to fall or face plant into the food, and talks to you quietly, "are you bored, MC? We can head home if you need!" He's hoping you don't take him up on his offer. "Thank you Levi, can we just sit against the wall and let me nap in your lap for a minute?"

He's a little embarrassed, but powers through, only for his Henry!

He is one who does not keep you on a schedule, but he tries to get you to sleep in his room while he stays up, playing games. He wants to make sure you're getting as much rest as a normie needs!

Will also let you play games with him when your insomnia is awful though!

ASMODEUS

Probably has heard of it as 'sleeping beauty syndrome' or something. Only finds out what narcolepsy is from Lucifer, when Asmo brings up how you've fallen asleep so often lately.

His first encounter with your narcolepsy is when he's doing your makeup, he's applied almost everything, until he finally gets to your eyeshadow. He turns around, a magenta pigment on the brush, and he realizes your head isn't tilted upwards anymore! Tries to talk to you, asking you to life your head, but he realizes you're asleep. Frowns, but crouches down to finish his work.

The encounter that makes him understand a lot more is when you're at a party at The Fall! Asmo is barely buzzed, he turns away from you for a few minutes, just enough to get another drink, and he can't find you! After looking for a short period, he finds you at one of the booths, your head in your arms, leaning on the table, he can hear soft noises from you as he approaches. Tries to wake you, gently shoving your shoulder before he realizes you're not budging. He sits with you, texting his brothers and asking what he should do, as he can't just leave you there! He settles on waiting for Beelzebub to escort you, and tipsy Asmo home.

Is not very helpful with your insomnia unfortunately. He needs his beauty rest and so do you! Might recommend medication to get you to sleep, or might suggest his baby brother as an assistance.

Might also suggest some sort of physical activity to tire you out.

SATAN

Knows a little about narcolepsy. He's interested enough to study it before you arrive though. Makes the assumption that you have all the symptoms.

His first incident is after a few weeks, you're sort of settled into Devildom life, and you both have a habit of meeting in the library after school most days. He's sitting in the chair next to you, engrossed in his book! As he reads the final pages of the chapter, he looks up to discuss it with you, only to see you with your eyes closed, head thrown back, and steady breaths rising your chest. He feels the blood run to his cheeks, he thinks you look vulnerable. He puts his bookmark in, getting up to crouch down in front of you. He pushes against your shoulder gently, whispering your name. "MC, let's go. I'm going to walk you home."

The incident that makes him understand it more is when he's started trying to court you. What else than the cat cafe? You both walk down the busy street, brushing shoulders as you approach the door. He orders a tea, and a pasty for you. You make your way to the cat room, and you both take a seat, he watches a beautiful black cat crawl into your lap, kneading at your thighs. You giggle at him, and he smiles back, before his attention turns to a small kitten that scurried accross the room. He follows it, dangling a flirt pole for her to chase after. He turns to show you, before finding you dozing off, breath slowing, eyes mostly closed, hand still on the kitty in your lap, who seems to be enjoying your affection. He might be in love. Let's you rest while he plays with the cats.

BEELZEBUB

Puts the idea together from Narcoberries. (HC that they're a real thing in Devildom lol.) Also assumes it's similar to Belph, you're just very sleepy constantly.

Isn't very sure of your condition, but as your grow closer, he notices quite a few patterns, and then realizes how much it really effects you.

The first incident is at one of his Fangoul games! You've really grown on him lately, and hearing you cheer from the crowd while he plays gets him riled up. Until he looks over, just scoring the 2nd to last point he needs to win, and you're slouched over, head leaning on Lucifer, who wrapped his coat around you. He realizes you're asleep, before going back to playing, hoping you'll wakeup to see him win.

He learns a lot more about you when he sits with you at the RAD cafeteria, you're chatting while he eats. Well, you're chatting, he's mumbling between bites. He watches you while you talk, and he starts to hear you trip over your words, speech slurring slightly, and eyelids starting to drop. "MC, are you okay?" He pauses his eating momentarily, looking you over. "Yeah, I'm okay, just having a sleep attack I think" "Do you want me to talk you to the infirmary?" "I'm okay, might just nap here for a minute. You can have my lunch." He's greatful, attempting to leave you some food, before he gives into his sin.

Calls on Belphie to help with you insomnia, and he tries to carry around a small pillow or blanket in his backpack for you.

BELPHEGOR

Knows about it. Used to be fascinated by human diseases and illnesses. Doesn't remember everything about it, however.

The first incident is when him and his brothers are working at The Fall. (Bunny event!) You come to visit, the place is packed. He elects to be your waiter, sauntering over to your table before asking, "what can I get for you today, MC?" You pick your meal, offering him a sleepy smile before he walks away. He comes back after 20 minutes, he chuckles, seeing your hand barely holding up your head, eyes closed. He wakes you gently, offering to skip his shift so you can nap together.

He realizes how badly it effects you when you're out stargazing, something you'd been wanting to do with him for weeks, and you can't seem to keep your eyes open. He chuckles when he hears you start to snore softly, so he softens his words, letting you doze off, snuggling into you while he joins you in slumber.

He is the obvious solution to insomnia. He'll simply use dream magic to put you to sleep. Look no further, he is your savior.

Vincent's slumber

I don't know if anyone has already talked about it, I'm relatively new to social media (and I have the same skill as Vincent in using it). In any case, I share this thought that I have always had, but which with the release of Rebirth came back to my mind stronger than ever. I'm talking about Vincent's sleep. Nothing that comprehends how long it lasted, whether he woke up from time to time to do who knows what or whether he instead remained locked in the coffin for the entire time until Cloud arrived. Maybe I'll talk about this in the future, who knows. Instead, I would like to focus on why Vincent needs so much sleep. In the OG it would seem that he slept for 30 years straight, later with the expansion of the FF VII compilation we learned that there were moments of wakefulness. Even in FF Rebirth, Vincent's crypt seems way more comfortable than a plain one and Vincent's own statements suggest that he has experienced something in the meantime. In any case, we can safely say that Vincent Valentine is a sleepyhead, who spends much of his time sleeping (or napping around, poor Cait Sith). In DoC we saw him dozing under the Nibelheim tree (I hope in one of his moments of pause as a bodyguard, lol), where he and Lucrecia had their picnic. So our hero loves to sleep. Subsequently, after being used for Hojo and Lucrecia's experiments, in DoC Vincent remained in suspended animation in the tube for an unspecified period. Basically asleep. We currently don't know when he woke up, where he got his amazing cloak, and how he ended up lying in a coffin. Always sleeping. Surely after everything that happened to him, poor guy, being depressed, hiding from the world, self-punishing, etc, is quite understandable. And this would explain why he continues to sleep. Until a certain degree. For starters, I've always thought that the reason why, once Chaos and Protomateria were implanted, Vincent didn't wake up immediately was because his body needed time to adapt. To recover. We know that Hojo gave him a virtually indestructible body, but even so the burden of Chaos and the other demons/monsters is physically too much to bear. So both Hojo and Lucrecia thought they had failed in their experiment, precisely because Vincent didn't wake up. Even after regaining consciousness, Vincent continued to sleep in his beloved coffin, because he was unable to come to terms with what happened and what he has become, certainly, but also because physically it was still too much for him. He still has to recover, adapt, struggle for every little thing. And we don't even know how much he needs to hold back to control his four roommates. And we are talking about powerful and dangerous creatures. Chief among these is Chaos, a primordial god of destruction. All this must have a weight, which certainly weighs on the body as well as the soul. In Rebirth this thing seems even more evident to me, starting from the phrase: "Being outside is exhausting, I hate it." Ok, it makes me smile too, if you think about how introverted, antisocial, etc, he is. Plus he's trying to understand and adjust to all the changes that have occurred during the thirty years he's lost, but perhaps the myriad stimuli in the outside world are also exhausting him physically. Because he is not alone, there are five of him inside him, and we don't know exactly how Vincent Valentine perceives the world and on which and how many levels. Certainly, as Rebirth points out, he is very sensitive to everything dark and supernatural.

The Rebirth also gives us the opportunity to better observe the transformation into the Galian Beast. Vincent grabs his head, writhes, screams and the beast takes his place. It is a painful process, which requires physical effort. Not only that, but by the end of the fight, Vincent is completely exhausted. He barely manages to get back on his feet, his arms dangling, his head too, and the steps that separate him from the crypt are difficult and very heavy to take. A painful sight to even watch (at least until he rolls over in the doorway, lol). And no, it doesn't depend on the attacks of Cloud and company, you just need to look at Reno's face after the clash in which sector 7 collapsed to realize it.

Vincent is not injured, his body is indestructible, he doesn't have a scratch, he doesn't limp, he doesn't hold his side or arm where he was hit. No. He is simply emptied, drained, exhausted in every cell of the body by the transformation. What he does is go back to sleep, he needs it, to recover from the effort. When Vincent regains control of himself, after Chaos' intervention, he collapses directly onto the streets of Edge. As long as Shalua gives him the opportunity and time to recover in the tube, at the WRO headquarters. The same thing will happen later after the battle with Azul the Cerulean. Vincent loses consciousness and later wakes up on the floor of the Shinra building. So to conclude, I always thought that yes, he loved to snooze when he was younger. Now he's dozing because he's a grandpa, and maybe he had nothing better to do in the basement of the Shinra Mansion, but he often really, really needs to rest. Physiologically speaking, as far as Valentine's physiology is known. Because being him, Vincent freaking Valentine, is quite a burden.

i just woke up from a nap where I had this dream that an unfortunate side effect of being loved by your demon guy that his "demon curse" would wear off or transfer (unclear) to you.

So like the more Mammon loves you, the more greedy you get, etc.

In this case since I'm on a Belphegor sidetrack, I was getting sleepy eepy deepy! Falling asleep in class and at breakfast and at some point I was sleeping beauty and couldn't wake up! They had to call Solomon and Simeon since there wasn't a human doctor who had to advise the brothers that Belphegor was the cause. 💀

It's unclear if Belphegor was getting less sleepy so I'll leave it open ended whether it was a full on transfer of the curse or just rubbing off.

It reminds me of an ask you got awhile ago of Barbatos's power rubbing off on MC, like seeing the future etc. What if it got dark like MC couldn't fully control it and just was plagued by visions/headaches all the time/constantly confused?

Idk the whole idea that being close with a demon will give you their worst traits feels like a treasure trove of ideas in my brain ready to explode.

Questions needing answered: What could break the curse aside from breaking up? What would being loved by Diavolo look like? Mephisto? How would any of the demons react to their loved one slowly becoming cursed or demonic like them?

Oh I love this idea. I do vaguely remember the ask about Barb's power rubbing off on MC. That one has so much potential for things to go wrong super fast. But then again, I think they all kinda do.

What could break the curse aside from breaking up? That's tough! If the curse was brought on because of the demon's love for you, then it would seem like the only way to break it would be for the demon to stop loving you. But is there an alternative? Since nobody wants to break up with their demon, right? The game often talks about things that are considered like... standard curse breakers. Such as true love's kiss. But I dunno, I don't think something like that would be enough.

Sometimes curses in the game are like... cast by someone deliberately and then you gotta figure out what that person wanted you to do in order to break it. But that also doesn't seem right for this scenario. Nobody cast the curse, it just happens because of the demon's feelings.

I mean, this is a game with magic, so you could say there's some kind of ancient, super difficult counter curse out there. Maybe there's a copy in the RAD library in the ancient texts or forbidden section or something?

But wouldn't it be interesting if there was no way to break it? Then MC has to decide if they're going to take on that demon's traits fully in exchange for their love.

What would being loved by Diavolo look like? Diavolo is tricky because he doesn't really seem to have one specific thing that defines him either power-wise or negative trait-wise. Like all the brothers are obviously an Avatar of some sin and Barbatos has the time travel and what not. But Dia? He's incredibly powerful, so maybe it's just that when he loves MC, their own magic goes haywire. Like it boosts your natural magic to the point where it's making things happen without you meaning to. Almost like how it was before MC got the Ring of Light. So potentially the Ring of Light could counteract a curse like that.

As for Mephisto, his power is mentioned in the last lessons of season two of Nightbringer. So without saying what it is in case of spoilers, I think it's possible that MC could sort of take on part of that.

Otherwise I'm not sure because any "negative" traits those two have seem to be very surface level. Like oh no you might end up kinda snobby like Mephisto! Or perhaps you have suddenly gain a tendency to sneak away from your work like Diavolo does! LOL!

I kinda think they could react a few different ways. Either they all get distressed about it because MC is human and should stay as human like as possible. OR they're happy that MC is becoming more like a demon, more like them.

I kinda think they're all more likely to be distressed about it, though. I think they wouldn't want MC's personality to change, even if it makes MC more like them in the end.

Hopefully there is some kinda ancient counter curse... like back in the early days of the Devildom, when demons were less restrained and more likely to take human lovers, they discovered this curse that happens when a demon loves a human too much. And they all spent a lot of time and energy and resources to find that counter curse. But it's been lost to time or maybe just hidden away as demons associated with humans less and less. So now, when MC shows up and falls victim to it, they have to find that really old counter curse. Probably involves some stuff like blood sacrifice and what have you.

I just think that'd be interesting! But I like this idea in general, it's really interesting to wonder if MC could somehow just... adapt to it. Maybe they like having that part of their demon manifest in them, you know? It probably depends on the MC's personality.

For Mila x Skye

The senior exams were a hectic time for both Mila and Skye. Both had to give it their all, and it often resulted in pulling late nighters till they were exhausted to even hug.

One such night, Skye returns from the library to the apartment late, and finds Mila among a stack of books, spread across the bed, as she crazily writes on post-its, sticking them on the textbook pages.

'Hey.' said Skye, shifting some of the books aside so she could sit on the bed.

'Heyy...' said Mila, not looking up from her reading.

'Mila, when was the last time you took a break?.' asked Skye, noticing the color seemed to drained from Mila's usually active deamour.

'I don't know...not maybe since 3. Why?' said Mila, her focus unwavering.

'It's 11 p.m.' said Skye. 'Mila, you are going to burn yourself out before you even write your exam. Take some rest.'

Mila sighs, setting her books down. 'Okay, just a few more topics, and I promise I will rest.' she said, giving a small smile.

Skye excused herself to wash up and when she came back to the room, she saw Mila fast asleep, the books still scattered beside her. Skye clears the bed, before lying down, her head across Mila's chest and her arms wrapped around her, listening to her heartbeat. Moments later, Skye feels Mila's arms wrap around her, pulling her closer. It was the first real hug they had after what felt like so many days.

'I love you dork.' murmured Skye

'Love you too, my goth princess.' whispered Mila in her sleep.

Griffin stepped back inside the house, after spending the morning tending to their garden. Anitha had insisted that they expand the garden with new varieties, and also tend to some of the plants that were looking a bit off.

He found Anitha in the room that would be the nursery, making a perfect crib, the edges smoothed, not leaving any sharp corners.

He came up from behind her, gently pulling her into a warm hug. His hands roaming around her belly.

'You know you could have left this to me, sunshine' said Griffin. 'I don't want you taking too much stress.'

'Relax, baby. I'm not really that helpless. Besides, I am an attuned. These things are cakewalk to me.' said Anitha, turning to face him, wrapping her arms around his neck.

'But still, I don't want you draining all of your energy in one go. Why don't you take a nap, while I clear things up here?' said Griffin.

'Only if you join me.' said Anitha, a coy smile playing on her lips.

Moments later, they were lying together on the couch. Anitha pulls Griffin closer, hugging his chest and inhaling his scent.

'Mhm. You smell so nice. I could do this all day.' said Anitha, pressing her face onto his chest.

Griffin laughed. 'And what does it smell like?' he asked.

'Mm...its freshly dug earth, roses, and honeysuckles.' said Anitha. 'I just love it when you smell of nature.'

'Oh and what other smells do you like?' asked Griffin.

'I liked the smell of the sand and the sea on you when you came back last week, after your expedition, and the smell of the forest, and...' Anitha's voice trailed off as she sunk into sleep. Griffin wraps his arms around her tightly, kissing her forehead and stroking her hair, not moving an inch, in case she might wake up.

A/N: After going back and forth with myself I decided I like the fic the way it is & I don't need to change it into headcanons 😅😁 I feel bad because all my Eddie fics tend to be on the shorter side and I think it's just because 9 times out of 10 I'm fully Stuck-brained so when I write Eddie I have to think about it more instead of the plot just coming straight from my daydreams lol 😅 Maybe I ought to rewatch season 4 for inspiration anyways I hope you guys enjoy and happy December!!! 💕❄️💕

You’d been napping in Eddie’s bed all afternoon, exhausted from school and your part time job. Eddie knew that naps were the easiest way to put you in your little headspace, so he was more than happy to let you hog his bed. Besides, this nap would be the perfect opportunity for him to work on your little holiday surprise. Once he was sure you were sleeping peacefully, Eddie quietly crawled out of the bed without disturbing you, grabbing his guitar from its mount on the wall, and snuck into the living room, leaving the bedroom door open just a crack, just in case. 

It was time to get to work. Eddie had been setting aside a portion of his tips from the Hideout to buy a book of Christmas sheet music for the guitar from the local music store. He knew how much you loved the holidays, and he wanted to be able to accompany you on all your favorite songs. Being the perfectionist he was, he didn’t want to reveal his plan to you until he was absolutely flawless at every song in the book. It was rare to get a moment by himself since he was usually glued to your side, so for once he was glad you were so sleepy.

Settling down on the ratty couch, Eddie propped the sheet music book against a cushion and positioned his guitar on his lap. Opening the book to your favorite song, he started learning the music, effortlessly reading the notes and translating them to the guitar. His fingers moved across the strings in a way that was already second nature to him, every wrong note played was effortlessly corrected within a second, the tiny flaws and mistakes noticeable to Eddie and only Eddie. The notes carried out across the trailer, through the cramped hallway and into his slightly open door. 

The music made its way into your dreams, swirling around your sleepy little head until you were pulled out of slumber and back into the real world. You recognized it immediately, one of your favorite holiday classics. You sat up immediately, all remnants of sleep immediately shaken off by the excitement of hearing one of your favorite songs. You didn’t know where the music was coming from, and, determined to find the source, you hopped off of the bed and padded out into the main room of the trailer, dragging the blanket around your shoulders. Eddie didn’t even look up, he was so focused on playing the song perfectly. You sat in front of him on the floor, so as not to disturb him, and when he finished playing you started to clap.

“Oh! Baby, I didn’t know you were up!” Eddie said with wide eyes and a soft smile.

“I heard my song.” You whispered. 

“Did I wake you, baby?”

He did, but you knew he’d beat himself up over it if he thought he’d disturb you in any way, so you shook your head.

“Pretty music, dada.” You blushed.

“Yeah? I’m still learning, so it’s not that good yet.” “I thought it was perfect.”

“Well that’s because you’re my number one fan, aren’t you, my little hellraiser?” You giggled and hid your face in your blanket, but peeked back out when you felt a calloused hand brush your cheek. 

“Wanna come up here and help me learn, gumdrop?” Eddie asked, patting the couch cushion beside him.

You nodded and scrambled up, blanket still enveloping you as you settled next to Eddie, as close to him as you could be without getting between him and the guitar. He pointed to the open song book.

“Okay, see the words there, baby?” 

You nodded.

“Follow along with me, alright?”

And he began to play again, the festive song you knew so well. You’d had the words memorized for as long as you could remember, but you still kept your eyes trained on the page, dutifully following Eddie’s instruction. Every now and then, however, you stole a glance up at him, eyes practically heart shaped as he played your favorite tune. You didn’t know it, but every time you turned your gaze back to the book, Eddie was looking back at you with just as much love in his eyes.

so its like mid-morning you're like up and dotting around the flat and you're kind of concerned because matty still isn't up yet (this is before you're together btw). like you know he wakes up later the night after a show but this is pushing it. and you're hesitant to go into his room in case there's someone with him, but every time you've gone past it's either been him snoring or just total silence, so you figure he's alone. you knock and open the door slightly, and poke your head round to see matty wrapped in the duvet SHIVERING despite the heating being on. you go over and he's like "babe i really really don't feel well" and his voice is all scratchy, and he's SWEATING. and you feel his forehead and he's burning up so you get him up and like manoeuvre him into the bathroom (he's so weak he can't stand by himself) to the shower to try and shift his fever. and even ill matty's still joking like "you know, i didn't picture this being the scenario in which we first showered together, but ok" and you pointedly ignore the fact he's just admitted to thinking about you and him in the shower together and just try and get him undressed in the most dignified way you can. and you're like "if you can face away from me i can hold you up without you having to compromise your modesty. i'll have to see your bare arse but that's nothing new" and matty's like "annoying that you've seen my bum and i haven't seen yours" and you're like "stop thinking about me naked and focus on feeling better" and he's like "those two things correlate it's fine" and you're like "jesus christ" but internally you're all !!!!!!! and the heat of the shower seems to soften the congestion in his chest so he's coughing this like awful awful cough and all you can really do is rub his back while holding him upright and doing your best not to look at him naked (but because he's so ill your overwhelming feeling is concern, not lust, so you're fine). anyway, the shower seems to revitalise him a little bit, so you leave matty to dry off and get dressed in his room and run to make him a cup of tea and get some soluble paracetamol. he has a bit of a tantrum about the latter, and won't force himself to drink it unless you sit and cuddle him afterwards to make him feel better (which melts your heart), so you end up sitting on matty's bed with his head in your lap, softly blow-drying his hair (so his cold doesn't get worse) while you watch my neighbor totoro (aka the best film of all time if u wanna feel better). when matty starts to fall asleep, you manoeuvre him onto the pillows and let him nap, while you go to the kitchen and start to reheat a batch of chicken noodle soup you'd made and frozen especially for situations like these. forty minutes later, though, you hear matty literally crying out your name and run back in a panic. and you're like "what's wrong sweetheart?" and he's actually crying a little bit holding your hand like "woke up and you weren't next to me" and you have to hold onto the bedframe to stop yourself keeling over at how heart-aching that statement is before you say "i'm sorry, babe, i was just getting you some soup. give me 2 minutes and i'll bring it to you". and matty pouts and says "promise you'll only be gone for 2 minutes?" and you're like "yes, i promise" and he reluctantly lets you go and get it. and then when you come back he has the soup then he's like "can you just please stay and cuddle me for the rest of the day?" and you're like "ok. but if i get ill, healy..." and matty's like "if you get ill, i'll take care of you. i'll always take care of you" and then he falls asleep on you again, leaving you sitting there heart fluttering lol <3

God, I wanna add onto everything but you talked about it all so perfectly already😭Bakugo adjusting the pillows against you 100 times before finally starting to drive. Just What how why everything? Lol. Every question I can ask will be deliberately left out plot point, meant to be slowly revealed. But let's get on with some anyway.

Most of my theories will be surrounding Lu guang, as he's the one mc shrouded in mystery. And he's totally not my favourite character and absolutely not pretty 😝

1. Lu guang is hiding something, or more like a lot of things. Duh. Everyone knows that.

He radiates this aura as if he's already... Guilty of something? And certainly carrying some burden (the burden of knowledge for sure, But more than that.)

I feel like he's on a mission of some sort. The business they're doing can't simply be for business. It's like.... A training session....? Is Lu guang training Cheng? In Preparation of a bigger, dangerous, life altering mission?

2. Is Lu guang somehow connected to Cheng xiaoshi's parents disappearance, at least knows something about it? I'm theorising this because of the guilt I sense from Lu guang.

What happened to the parents is a big question already, duh, very likely related to the timey whimey stuff (hey I'm still using the term! Hehe it's too perfect)

3. Ahem, what, I mean who is Lu guang anyway? (Or really what) sometimes I feel like he's already time traveling. Him being from the future is a popular theory.

His age is weirdly left unknown, thats also a big point.

He's possessing his younger self??

From Alternate timeline?

Is he actually xiaoshi (and qiao ling's) son from the future?  😂 it's almost scary how it kinda makes sense to me. Maybe xiaoshi died or disappeared or got lost in a dive.

4. Power mechanism. Still don't know how their powers work, since when, rarity of such ability, etc etc.

Lu guang probably can do more than we've seen.

5. What are the odds of 2 people with complimentary powers randomly meeting each other?

From the little we've seen of their backstory, I feel like Lu guang purposefully came to xiaoshi, their meeting wasn't any coincidence. Ties in with the mission theory.

6. Someone on YouTube said that 'maybe our protagonists knew each other beforehand in a different timeline, but something happened that caused only xiaoshi to forget everything. Thus lu guang's reason for being more knowledgeable. - very nice theory! I'd like to extend it, maybe xiaoshi died or disappeared in another timeline, thus Guang feels guilty. Thus his protectiveness and understanding behaviour. Hesitant to approach xiaoshi n start this business but couldn't help it either.

And not just to Xiaoshi, he's also quite protective of Qiao ling. Maybe something happened to her too... (Future son theory intensifies!!!)

7. Lu guang is seen to get tired while using his powers, right? When he's guiding xiaoshi for hours. He often takes naps on the couch at random times and sets up alarm to wake up at right times. Ok, I of all people should consider this a totally normal thing to do, do u need excuse to nap ahem ahem... And especially when you're 'watching a mundane movie through your mind's eye', of course it's tiring. But sadly (and fortunately) not everyone is Opshee, so the way it is shown, this can also mean that using luguangs powers are taxing. Low energy high intelligence.

8. The villain/antagonist, red eyes. Yeeeaah, so who that, what that? Should I even ask such obvious question, that's what season 2 will be about 😆 but I can state my theories beforehand.

That's not just a person, but more like....karma? Time police? A supernatural force that punishes everyone who messes with time? A being without even a solid body.... Woooo that'd be hard to deal with!

- wait, he did say something like being an 'agent' in last episode? Wonky translations, so not sure. But the original title of this show literally translates to 'time agent' apperantly, so......? Actual time police possible??

- or in simpler case, another person with similar powers to our mcs. Who's just a psycho. Wow so simple.

How his or her powers work is another question.

- is that person time traveling? Or just possessing people in present time? It should be time related to make it cooler n match our protagonist's powers, but there were scenes where it can be intercepted as just normal possession ability.

But then he can't be time police type....nah. I'll stick with 1st theory.

9. Obesvation: in episode... 6 maybe, there's a little scene at the police station, one of the serial killer victim's file/page went missing.

That has to mean something later. Maybe.... A police is related?

The assistant police, forgot his name, could he be the main villain? Dun dun duuuun!

10. Lu guang's watch. ...just, something seems to be there about it. It's highlighted more in the chibi shorts. That is related to something of his backstory.

11. Lu guang's platinum blonde hair, actually kinda stands out considering most people has the natural brown/black. Well, I wouldn't even think anything of it cuz, anime world! 😄 Multicolor hair is soooo common to us, especially when Lu guang n Xiaoshi are designed with complimentary black-white aesthetic. It just makes sense. But it kinda caught my attention from their university flashback scene... Lu guang was wearing a hat. It just felt like he was sort of embarrassed about his unnatural hair...?? Then my galaxy brain thought this has something to do with his mysterious background as well. A side effect of time travel? Future theke আসতে গিয়ে? Time travel makes your hair white? Lol

(Eeeeeeverything about Lu guang is sus. What's next opshee? Lu guang's shoes are suspicious too? His white shirt too?)

12. ..... I'll just clearly state my wildest n craziest theory here - Lu guang is Cheng Xiaoshi and Qiao ling's son from the future. 😶

I have no reason or proof or argument for this, and I'm embarrassed, but it just keeps making sense somehow?!

but it feels like colby and his girl parted ways when he went back to vegas or am i missing something? this mlp person sounds like she’s a fangirl who thought she’d finally napped the person she’d been fantasising over and is upset it didnt go the way she wanted. which definitely has got to sting. i was hoping sam and kat would get back together after some time bc i truly think they were a good match (publicly, anyway). LOL an apartment in the basement for uncle colby… 40 years old and still grinding his way thru friend groups 😂 my only comment on these girls is i hope they dont let a boy come between them. if things end badly or awkwardly and one half stay together while the other half don’t, hopefully everyone is civil and no one gets hurt.

If you mean M, nobody is really sure what happened when the boys went back to LV. They may have just been having a casual fling anyway, in which case they may have agreed beforehand that it would be over after New Year's. Who knows, at this point.

I kind of knew from the jump that Sam and Kat would never get back together...it just seemed to me like the whole thing ran it's course. But I think with all this now, that whole era is definitely over lol.

If any of the broken up couples are ever going to get back together, I feel like it'd be Jake and Tara...but that's just me.

I have to commend you, anon, and say it's very sweet to worry about the girls and their friendship after all this. You may be the first person I've seen yet to say anything like that, which I think is nice.

I'm sure it'll work out for them no matter what happens with this whole thing, but yea, we definitely don't want any more bodies of failed friendships and relationships in the wake of this whole thing!

How do you usually start your day? After checking the time, and depending on the time, I decide whether I want to go back to sleep or already try to wake up in which case I turn on YouTube or Instagram and look for something to watch.

What's your morning routine like? I don't really have any given my life revolves around work most days...I mean I stay in bed until 8:55 AM (9:10 AM if I'm feeling like a rebel), then I do this speedrun of making coffee, letting the dogs out to pee, changing clothes, brushing my teeth, and washing my face within 5 minutes. Then I set up my TV to have videos playing all day, I take my seat on my work chair and it's work for the next 8 hours from there.

What's your favorite thing to do in the evening to wind down? These days I've reignited my obsession with Rhythm Hive so there's that; I also have dinner and play with the dogs then later on in the night I settle down by watching YouTube videos, TikToks, and IG Reels and go through Reddit too.

How do you usually spend your weekends? Unless I have plans with friends, I like spending my weekends at home napping. Sometimes I'll take myself out on a date and go to a coffee shop or a gallery or something.

What's your go-to breakfast? I only ever prepare iced coffee.

What's your favorite type of coffee or tea? Caramel macchiato. 

Do you prefer to cook your meals or eat out? Eat out. I don't know how to cook! I've tried but the sizzling noises and the oil popping and the fire having random bursts are just too much for me to handle lol.

What's your favorite restaurant in your area? School Tteokbokki means everything to me and I hope they will stick around forever.

How often do you exercise, and what do you do? I don't. I'll walk but I don't do it as routine.

What's your favorite way to stay active? ^ Ooh, there we go then. After my trips to Thailand and Malaysia I've really taken a liking to walking and I'm also really happy that it didn't turn out to just be a phase?? I actually Like walking, apparently.

What's your favorite way to relax after a long day? After a long day? Tbh BTS is my comfort so if a day has been rough then I just automatically look for something of theirs to watch.

What's your favorite way to socialize with friends and family? Eating out! With friends, same thing but with drinks.

Do you prefer to stay at home or go out in your free time? I love staying at home but I can't imagine turning down an offer to go out. Momma needs her socializing haha.

What's your favorite way to spend a rainy day? Staying in with a cold cup of coffee.

What's your favorite way to spend a sunny day? Ideally, at the beach. But I'm not always at the beach and this is real life so realistically a perfect sunny day is spent indoors with aircon.

Do you have any pets, and if so, what are they like? I have two dogs. Cooper is very very VERY excited about everything but he can be unpredictably grumpy when he's lying down, so you always just kinda have to play it by ear with him lest you get bitten in the face like what happened to me. 98% of the time he's a total sweetheart, loves strangers, and will always play fetch with you.

Agi is also okay with strangers, but unsurprisingly as a small dog he likes to pretend he's big and brave and can rule the world so he can be very loud with the barking. He too is a sweetheart who will always hop onto your lap if you ask him to, and will whine/grumble nonstop if he senses he's not getting any attention.

What's your favorite thing to do with your pet? Playing fetch and petting them. :) And just being around them.

How do you usually stay organized throughout the day? I have a to-do list that is my entire life at work. Kata made it for us two years ago when she used to be my manager, and it's since served as my lifeline so I do not get lost with my tasks. I've handed it down as well to the associates I've had so far.

What's your favorite way to keep track of your schedule? ^ I will occasionally put timestamps on my to-do list so I can manage my time. Otherwise, I use Google Calendar.

What's your favorite type of music to listen to during the day? I can't listen to music while I work...will usually end up singing along. I have on vlogs instead and let YouTube play stuff on shuffle. It's easier for me to work if I hear talking noises instead of songs.

Do you have any hobbies or interests that you enjoy outside of work? I like museums and galleries, K-pop, trying out new chocolate chip cookies, reading about history - especially social history, and keeping up with a good number of YouTube channels.

What's your favorite way to wind down before going to bed at night? I alternate among IG Reels, TikTok, and YouTube videos until I feel sleepy. These days I've also grown a habit of setting up that one live of Jungkook (where he literally went live just to fall asleep) as I turn in because that shit does wonders in making me fall asleep instantly lmao.
