Down We Go | Aaron Hotchner
Synopsis: Aaron takes you shopping and you both find yourselves in a predicament when you run into his team and they recognize you as Jack's friend. — part 3 of (one and two)
Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x Younger (Of Age) F!Reader
Warnings: Age gap (r is over 22, Aaron is in his late 40's), fluff, best friend's father trope
Tumblr media
"Not to alarm you or anything, honey, but you do realize how this looks to others, right?" You ask, voice tinged with unbridled amusement as you suppress a laugh.
Aaron blinks at you blankly, trying to figure out what you were talking about as the clerk shuffles away to bag up the necklace he was buying for you.
"Aaron, you look like my sugar daddy right now." You explain with a snicker, pinching his side as his eyes widen a bit.
"There's no way people are actually thinking that, right?" He asks almost incredulously as he glances around and curls his arm around your waist.
You shrug and lean into his side, "We're in the right age range for that to be an appropriate assumption." You joke quietly, not bothered by the lingering stares you could feel from other mall patrons.
"When did a man buying his girlfriend jewelry become a crime." He grumbles in false exasperation, thanking the clerk when she comes back and passes the gift bag over the glass display case.
You smile as he carries it for you, taking his hand as he leads you out of the store. "You tell me. You're the one that works with social taboos for a living, Mr. Unit Chief."
"You're going to be the death of me." He murmurs under his breath, a small smile accompanying his complaint.
"You love me." You grin cheekily and bump your hip against his as you both walk. "Now, let's go buy some more ties for you."
"What about that pretzel you wanted earlier?" His asks, already relenting to your sudden suggestion. He lets you drag him toward a multi-story department store at the end of the mall, the glossy floors and milling patrons drawing you both in.
"Forget about the pretzel, honey." You rush out, glancing back at him to see the familiar defeated smile on his face that you've grown accustomed to.
He gives a big sigh and tugs your hand back gently so he's walking closer to you again, pressing you against his side. "Don't think I'm not aware that you just want an excuse to see me wearing more ties."
"Aaron, if you were me, you'd understand this obsession that I harbor." You jokingly lament, looking down at your phone and scrolling past the very appropriately-timed flash of your lockscreen, a selfie (that you begged him to take) of him in his suit while he was on his lunch break.
Just as you both cross into the threshold of the department store, you hear a surprised call of Aaron's name. "Hotch?"
Both you and Aaron spin on your heels to see a small group of people staring at you both. Sifting through your memories, you quickly deduce that it was his BAU team, recognizing them from the various photos he's shown you.
"JJ... Hi." He says politely, nodding to the rest of his teammates who were now gawking at you. "Having a good weekend so far?"
The woman— JJ, nods and smiles faintly, eyes flitting to observe you for a millisecond. "Yes, we all decided to just walk around after grabbing brunch."
"So... gonna introduce us?" A man you recognized as Derek speaks up, sharing a look around the group.
Aaron pauses for a second before squeezing your waist reassuringly and clearing his throat. "Right... guys, this is Y/N. Honey, this is my team." He keeps the introduction short, clearly knowing they'd likely interrogate you anyway.
"It's nice to meet you, Y/N. Y/N..." Derek mutters your name softly after greeting you, trying to get a feel for its familiarity. "Huh, you have the same name as Jack's friend." He says, pausing as the last syllable leaves his lips.
You see JJ and Emily cringe a bit at his cluelessness, clearly having realized who you were a bit before him. "Ah, yes, that's me." You answer sheepishly, smiling and meeting his gaze evenly.
Penelope, who you recognize from her colorful jewelry and joyful disposition, is quick to recover from her shock as she gasps and looks at you. “Oh my gosh, I love your shoes!”
“Oh, thank you!” You’re quick to accept the sudden shift in atmosphere. “I bought them a couple of weeks ago.”
“You’ll have to come shopping with us!” Penelope excitedly says, looking as though she was already planning out the entire trip in her head.
Emily nods warmly,. “Oh please do, I’m dying for a new dress. Even if we barely have the time to go out these days.” She jokes and rolls her eyes playfully.
“I would love to. Though I think Aaron will be the first to tell you that the last thing I need to do is more shopping.” You jest back, feeling Aaron’s hand rubbing your back slowly.
“Whatever makes you happy.” Aaron speaks up to defend himself, amusement decorating his tone as he tries to hide his little smile.
“So it’s settled then.” JJ chuckles, motioning for the group to start walking as to not create foot traffic.
Penelope flashes you a bright grin, starting to walk. "No wonder you declined for brunch, sir. But worry not, all is forgiven!"
You direct your attention back to Aaron and you frown a bit, feeling guilty for causing him to miss a team bonding day. "I thought you said you had no plans today, honey."
Aaron shakes his head gently and swiftly wraps his arm around your waist again. "I wanted to spend the day with you."
You eye him a bit with faux uncertainty before catching Derek's gaze.
“So… I have to ask. How did this happen?” Derek says, motioning between the both of you as he walks beside Aaron.
Aaron looks to you and lets you explain, knowing you always got a good kick out of telling the story. “Jack accidentally set us up together on a blind date.”
Derek’s eyebrows raise up and he huffs out a light chuckle, shaking his head. Spencer speaks up for the first time, eyebrows furrowed as he turns back a bit while he walks. “Accidentally?”
“Yeah, he had an elaborate plan to set me and Aaron up on different dates at different places, but he accidentally sent me the wrong address. And much to his absolute chagrin, we hit it off.” You elaborate with a lighthearted tone.
“He set you both up on dates on the same day?” Spencer clarifies, looking a bit befuddled.
“Between you and me, I think he just wanted some peace and quiet.” You joke, smiling when the group lets out small laughs.
Derek crosses his arms and glances at Aaron, eyes glinting in playfulness. “So this is why you’ve been all giddy these past few weeks?”
You snort, the mental image of your no-nonsense boyfriend suddenly being go-lucky at the office popping into your head. “Giddy?” You ask and raise an eyebrow at Aaron.
“I have not been giddy.” He deadpans, seemingly trying to inch away from the group with every passing second.
“Oh, no, you’ve been pretty cheerful, sir.” Penelope chimes in from in front of you.
“Yeah, I mean he’s even going back home at reasonable hours.” Emily says to you playfully.
“Never thought I’d see the day where you’d leave the office with work still on your desk.” Derek adds.
You chuckle and squeeze his hand. “Really now? He’s still putting on the workaholic facade around me. He told me that he's just been getting less paperwork lately. Good to know you’re whipped, honey.”
Aaron rolls his eyes fondly and just sighs in defeat. You have been trying to instill a sense of self-concern in Aaron, texting him almost every night to make sure he got home before midnight.
You end up walking around with his team for almost an hour, swapping stories about Aaron and getting to know them. By the time you all decide to part ways, you've gotten the girls' numbers and been put into a groupchat with them.
"I'd say that went well." You muse happily and walk with Aaron to his car. "I was nervous they wouldn't be super receptive of the relationship. I was certain Derek would throw in a few quips about you being a cradle robber."
"Oh don't worry, Dave's already got that base covered." Aaron sighs to veil his fondness.
"A little office banter can't hurt." You tease, knowing about his bond with the older agent. "And I can't believe you really almost fought that death-row convict! With your bare hands, too!" You say suddenly, recalling Spencer's little anecdote.
He exhales through his nose as he can feel the carefully crafted line between his work life and his personal life blurring. "He was intending to kill me and Reid."
"Well, I'm happy that you're always ready to defend yourself." You reassure him, grinning when he gazes at you softly. "I feel like I learned so much about you today."
"I don't want to indulge too much into my work." He says quietly, leaving no room for question. "It's not something you have to hear."
"But it's a huge part of your life. I don't need all the grisly details, of course. I just want you to be able to talk to me when you've had a hard case... when you're not feeling great about something that happened on the field." You supply with a gentle tone.
Aaron stays quiet for a moment and you take the chance to continue. "You don't have to hold your burdens in, Aaron. You've always stayed strong for everyone around you, so lean on me."
When you both get to his car, he gently guides you to face him, trapping you between the passenger door and his body. He leans to kiss your forehead as an adoring look ripples across his expression. "Thank you, sweetheart." He whispers against your skin and brushes his thumb across your cheek.
"Just doing what I can." You speak quietly, rubbing his sides a bit.
"Will you stay tonight? At my house." He requests with a tender look in his eyes. Even if you wanted to decline, the vulnerable expression painted across his face is enough to have your heart swelling with affection.
You nod and pull him in for a chaste kiss. "Of course."
When you and Aaron make it back to the Hotchner residence, you're immediately greeted by Jack's narrowed eyes. "What are you doing here?"
"I just missed you too much." You say with sarcastic longing, opening your arms for him.
His face twists in playful disgust and he tosses a pillow at you. "Ew, what the hell."
"Kidding. I'm staying the night." You explain with a light chuckle as you duck away from the pillow.
The soft object hits Aaron's chest and he shakes his head, dropping a kiss to your temple and placing the pillow back on the couch before walking up the stairs. "I'll be in the shower, honey."
"What's that?" Jack asks, stuffing some popcorn into his mouth as he pauses the show playing on the tv.
You hold up the small bag in your hand and walk toward him. "This?"
"Yeah, what'd you get?"
You pull out the tissue paper and hand him the small jewelry box. "Aaron bought me a necklace."
"Please don't tell me you're his sugar baby now. That's my inheritance you're messing with, you know." Jack huffs, looking at the necklace with interest.
You joke and take the box back. "Oh don't worry, you're already off the will."

random mc stuff that I dont want to be their own post so HERE WE GO.(a lot if not most of theses are cracked out lmao)
imagine an Mc who noticed certain dirty things in the HOL and REALLY wanted to something about it but couldn't cause they were still a stranger. so once all the pacts are made Mc immediately goes around the HOL and attacks all the spots that bug them.. and isn't afraid to vocalize their complaints. "lucifer, when was the last time you guys washed these curtains?? you know what, don't answer that, I can already tell that the last time these were washed I hadn't even been born yet." "who is in charge of sweeping?? there is so much dirt under these rugs!! common guys, seriously???" "Mammon, Levi, twins.. I love you guys SO much.. this is commmon knowledge at this point... but cleaning your pillow cases is NOT enough you NEED to also wash the pillow itself. you guys are gross. gather up your pillows we're doing a soak." "beel. come here and lift me up. I'm dusting the chandelier." "Lucifer, I do not CARE if you're working right now your shelves are littered with dust. either ignore me or go take a break because I'm not leaving."
once during breakfast the brothers could hear cerberus growling and grumbling in the basement, it was annoying but they were trying to ignore it until they realized Mc wasn't at the table.... which of course once it was pointed out they all rushed to the basement.. only to find cerberus laying on its back and Mc sitting above it and quickly rubbing and scratching under each heads chins while going "good boys!!!! good puppy!!!!" and cerberus very happily whining and grumbling with their tail thumping on the ground. when they manage to get Mc away from the silly, the only explanation mc gives it "there is a massive three headed dog that lives in the basement and is feared by 6 out of the 7 men who live here, how could I NOT pet them??? clearly no one but lucifer does!!"
imagine an Mc who is a selective mute, and normally communicates through ASL and notes. the first time they talk is after knowing the brothers for a GOOD amount of time, and its not a sweet wholesome moment no no. Mc comes home with Lucifer after they finished running errands, and the HOL had been: flooded by levi summoning lotan, the living room had been torn up by satan, the kitchen was in pieces because beel got hangry, asmo had joined in on the chaos after his bedroom got damaged as well, mammon was struggling to keep everyone together, and belphie was sleeping on a chandelier. of couse it dies down the moment they all see lucifer and mc got home, and before lucifer could say anything Mc threw their ars up and went "guys what the FUCK we've hardly been gone for an hour!!" of course all the chaos is forgotten for a second and replaced by multiple "YOUCANTALK?!"s, which then shock and amazement turned to shame as they realize the first time they were graced by Mc's voice was because they were being idiots and Mc was upset at them.
imagine an Mc who isn't really used to people caring all that much about them, and finds it very odd that the brothers+other characters care so much. so once their birthday comes around its turned into a birthday WEEK because Mc is being gifted things and being taken out everyday until their actual birthday, which BAFFLES them, so when their birthday comes its a huge event, Dia hosts the party at his castle, there are so many presents you'd think it would be for a family of 18 on christmas day. and when Mc is sat infront of their cake they can't help but suddenly start crying, while everyone is panicking the only thing Mc can say is "I-*hic*- love you guys so much!!" once they realized it was happy tears there was much less panic, and it was forgotten about for the rest of the evening.
You guys remember my post about pacts marks and Mc feeling a demons sin really strongly after making a pact with them??? well this relates to that. imagine if mc feels something strongly that sin kind of takes over for a while until mc is satisfied (asmo enjoyers do what you want with that info), so imagine: theres just a day were Mc doesn't get the chance to eat, first they slept in and just had to rush to RAD, then they had to skip lunch because they agreed to help a few clubs with advertising and projects, then they had to stay after for a student council meeting, then, just as they think they can maybe grab a snack they get held up again, by the time everyone is going home all the brothers can sense Mc's aggression, half way to the HOL lucifer says that they should just go eat at hells kitchen. so they're all seated, and the second Mc's food gets out they dont even bother with utensils, they just grab their food with their bare hands and eat like they're a starved dog. of course the brothers are concerned as to why they're acting like this, and mammon reaches to put a hand on Mc's shoulder as he says "hey- are you ok-" but he cant even finish talking before Mc jerks their head and nearly takes a few of his fingers off, though they dont bite him cause he moves away fast enough with a "EEP" and Mc's teeth loudly click together. so from then on the brothers make sure that Mc is able to eat something throughout the day if their schedule is packed to reduce the risk of losing fingers. honorable mention is Mc getting praised to much one day that the amount of pride they feel almost puts lucifer into a coma.(satan and belphie sometimes praise Mc a bunch to distract lucifer while he's working, another cheeky win for the anti lucifer league)
imagine an Mc who gets so over protective of the brothers, like CRAZY protective. there is a point were they hear someone talking SHIT about their found family trope, so ofc the reasonable reaction is to tackle the demon down to the ground and almost bite their ear off like some sort of rabid raccoon. another time Mc squares up with some sort of magical mythical beast in protection of the brothers, almost won and would have if the brothers didn't stop them.
imagine an Mc who is very introverted and is secretly a fanfic writer, so one day levi and Mc are hanging out, he's just rambling about whatever, until he eventually mentions that a fic he was reading hasn't gotten updated in a while and ist just so frustrating to him. when Mc asks which fic he was reading, he pull it up and shows them... which Mc realizes thats THEIR fic... and outloud without thinking they mumble "oohh I forgot about that one..." and levi freaks out and immediately is questioning what they mean by that. which they eventually have to admit it.
Imagine a little kid Mc, I mean like, LITTLE, as in like 7-8 yr. and they are just such a sweeite, and they work so hard. but I can also imagine that when they're first sent there and the introductions are happening, when lucifer introduces himself Mc immediately interupts and goes "lucifer?? like the cat from Cinderella?:0" and then ofc when mammon is assigned to take care of the child he is a lot nicer at first, I wouldn't be surprised if having Mc around reminded him of his younger siblings when they were that small,(yes I am a believer of the brothers being at least little kids at some point in their angel lives) but then eventually gets Mc to go along with a few schemes, which they both have fun cause really it just turns into bonding. then ofc asmo adores this little creature and has little dress up parties and helps Mc get ready for school in the morning so they always look their best!! lucifer gave him permission for this since he agrees that Mc should look put together despite being a child. I still think it takes a while for the brothers to warm up fully to Mc, but it goes by a lot faster since mc quickly becomes their new little sibling. I think it would be cute if what won over lucifer is Mc coming into his office at some point, saying that they have something for him, and gives him a drawing, lucifer ends up scooping them up to sit with him and they explain what they drew, and its mc and all the brothers:( that drawing is almost immediately framed and put up where everyone can see it.
thats all for now, but I have a LOT of Mc what if's and imagines, my fingers hurt from typing now lol.

I try to stay away from negative topics, but after hearing talk on social media yesterday and seeing this post from @such-a-downer, I just had to give my two cents about the complaints regarding yesterday's chapter being "another short mission" and that Endo is somehow being "lazy" or whatever.
I honestly don't understand this mentality of criticizing manga-ka, or any artists really, because they aren't delivering by whatever standards you personally think are appropriate. To me, it just seems like entitlement because Endo has no obligation to cater to any specific fan's wants. This is his story to tell the way he wants, and his characters to develop at the pace he deems fit. This isn't a business contract where we're paying him to deliver content we want every two weeks without fail. If I'm consuming the fruits of someone's creative labor for free, I certainly feel no right to complain if sometimes their content isn't what I wanted or expected. I'm fine with that because 1) I know it's what they (the creator) wanted/needed at the time, and 2) even if a particular chapter wasn't my cup of tea, I know other fellow fans out there somewhere are enjoying the heck out of it, and that's cool!
We also have to remember that SxF is basically a one-man show. If Endo is busy or sick or whatever, it's not like he can have someone fill in for him to write and draw the series. That's what a hiatus is for, that's what making a short chapter instead of a longer one is for...that's how artists should be treated so they don't get burned out and stressed. Plus, art shouldn't be rushed. Any artist knows that there are times when you have trouble coming up with ideas and maybe need a little extra time to develop a more complex section of the story. To immediately jump to conclusions that he's lazy or doesn't know what he's doing is ridiculous. Maybe he didn't feel good for a few days, maybe he's been busy with other SxF events, maybe he just needed more time to get a particular future arc developed, or maybe he just has basic IRL obligations to take care of like we all do...you don't know what's going on in his life, so don't make assumptions.
Another thing to keep in mind is that it's literally impossible to please every fan. One of the comments I read for example, someone was ready to drop the series because we haven't seen much of Yor in "a while." All I could think of was "didn't she just have a pretty big role only four chapters ago when they went to the ski resort?" Plus she was the star of chapter 91, which was less than ten chapters ago. So according to this person's standards, four chapters without seeing a particular character is "too long"? What if it was only three chapters, would that be acceptable? It's not right to push our own personal standards of a series' pacing as the "correct" way: some people want to see more of character X while someone else wants to see more of subplot Y, so should both complain that the manga-ka isn't doing right whenever they focus on something else? I'm not saying you shouldn't make criticisms of a manga-ka's work, but the criticisms should come from within the narrative itself, not superficial things like chapters focusing on subplots/characters you don't want to see or not having enough "plot-advancing" content when it's not a plot-focused series.
People who have read SxF up to this point should know the general flow of the chapters: mostly slice-of-life episodic, with more plot-heavy, intense arcs once in a while, like the cruise arc and bus arc. It's an ensemble series that spends most of its chapters focused on at least one of the Forgers, but occasionally other characters here and there. That's how the series has been for years and will likely continue to be. So if you keep complaining because you only like the dramatic story arcs and not the "nothing happens" episodic chapters, then maybe the series just isn't for you. It's totally fine if that's the case, but don't act like Endo is doing something wrong because he's not providing the particular thing you want in his story.
To summarize, Endo has no obligation to cater to particular fans' standards, just as we have no obligation to keep reading his work if we don't like it. But being a fan to me means respecting the creator's pace and vision even if it's not always what I personally want. I can find something to enjoy in every chapter because I'm a fan of SxF, not a fan of one particular aspect of it. But I also will not complain every time my tastes aren't being catered to and will simply occupy myself with other things while I wait. What's the big hurry, after all? I'm in no rush for SxF to wrap up its plot and I'm glad Endo isn't rushing either.
And that's all I'm gonna say about this topic, lol. On a happier note, I'm going to finally see Code White on Thursday! 😁 More to come later~

Again, March?
Tumblr media
saw this rb by @ghostface001 and you know what, you're absolutely right
so here's a short follow-up to my first sick fick Just lean on me
-0-
A crash was heard from inside the blacksmith's.
It was still pretty early in the morning, and not many people were bustling in the streets. It rained a little some hours ago so she didn't have to spend so much time tending her crops, hence why she was at the town square sooner than she's used to.
And at that moment, she wondered if it would have been wiser to just turn around and go back to bed.
Because even from her perch by the lip of the fountain, she could see Ryis standing by the door, ducking when a chisel flew over his head.
She could hear Olric say something, followed by a slamming of a door. She has a feeling she knows which door.
"What the hell is happening here?"
"Oh thank the gods above." Ryis practically wheezed it out as he helped Olric pick up the scattered tools.
"Sandraaa-" Voice practically a whine, Olric beelined to her, face with a look of distress and hair a little disheveled.
She stepped into the shop, quiet blue eyes scanning the floor, gingerly walking over the stone in case she step on a random piece of ore or tool on the ground. "Explain."
"March is sick," Olric supplied.
She raised a brow, frowned. "He was just sick two weeks ago."
Two voices, exhausted, resounded. "Juniper."
"Ah."
Debris littered the shop. An overturned stool, silver wear on the floor, a dented copper cup. She was fully appraised that March was a menace when ill, she experienced it firsthand just two weeks ago, but she didn't expect him to be this chaotic.
Ryis shook his head, sighed. "He really doesn't like people tending to him, so he gets bitchy about it when people do."
"Hm. Did he throw most of these?"
"What?" Olric turned, looked around. "Oh. Oh no. The chisel, yeah, but most of this was because he was struggling when I was trying to get him into the bath."
"Mm."
A knock on the door, short and sharp. "March," she called out. "March, can you open the door, please?"
No answer.
"March, I know you're in there."
Still, no response.
She sighed.
"If you don't open this door in five seconds, I'm kicking it down."
Silence.
"One."
Not a sound.
"Two."
A grunt from inside the room.
"Three-"
Quickly, the latched of the door opened, swinging rather petulantly to reveal a sweaty and red-cheeked March. There was indignation in his dark eyes, a defiance in the jut of his lip, but all of it was overshadowed by the flush that covered his nose and cheeks.
Without much warning, she just stepped through the threshold, sat him down on the side of the bed, and laid a cool hand on his forehead, all before the man could even react.
"Again, March?"
He snarled. "Not my fault."
His voice was raspy, his dark eyes a little unfocused, and sweat slicked his skin. But he was breathing easier compared to how he was two weeks ago, which was a relief.
"Alright," she decided. "Let's get you to the bath."
"I don't want your help."
She raised a brow, smirked. Challenging him. "You didn't say anything the last time when you shoved your face into my tits."
March jolted up, sputtering in disbelief, the red of his face only deepening but this time, Sandra knew it wasn't because of the fever. From the other side of the door, she could hear Olric and Ryis wheezing over.
Before the feverish man could react more, she just took his arm, patted his head, and led him to the bathroom without so much as a complaint.
And did it all over again.

You consider new indie artists easy to discover? Lol, is there some platform or place to be looking that 90% of us don't know about? You should just give some places to look instead of being mean spirited about it. I think the person in that post is just complaining about the pop scene. A completely valid complaint, there used to be interesting characters and acts in pop, various genres, now it's all 1 genre and the stars are all homogeneous super models. You can complain about the content of pop music while also liking and acknowledging genres outside of it. Pop is what you're forced to hear on the radio, it's valid to be bored with what is considered pop or who is considered a "famous musician".
genuinely this ask is a case of "your experiences are not universal"
why are you demanding answers on how to find indie artists in my inbox? i didn't even directly talk about indie artists in my original post
also, there is tons of pop music out there made by less famous people if you just look/research for it
like a song? Google "songs like _____ reddit" or even something like "pop songs by less famous artists" and go to sources beyond sponsored listicles
hell, every music-listening program out there nowadays has a similar sounds type of category or sorting algorithm
you're very much overreacting to a two second opinion on a post that was not about you and i promise it's not as deep as you're making it. there is pop music out there by artists that aren't famous and it's way easier to find than you'd think but instead of going to do your due diligence to find the music you allegedly want to hear so badly, you came into my inbox to be a misogynist because you hate an honestly very small subset of music as a whole

Max's IEP - Inattentive ADHD and Social anxiety
Tumblr media
I wanted to talk about Max's IEP, the possibility of inattentive ADHD and Max's social anxiety. In the files in Principal Wells office we discover Max's student file and discover she has an IEP (Individualized Education Program) given to students who may need extra help and support in school.
Tumblr media
We learn here that Max is considered a quiet attentive student. We learn her GPA fluctuates and she has acknowledged she should be doing better. Her teachers back up her quiet intelligence but she gets some complaints about being to nervous or nosey. Some would like her to speak up in class and be more assertive, others want her to be less so. I've been thinking a lot about this and what Max may have struggled with to get her an IEP. I've seen many fans discuss this and had many discussions myself. Some fans may think she has a learning disability that has her needing extra help. Some have thought autism. Some have considered ADHD - the inattentive type. I've been thinking a lot about this myself after beginning to realize I may have the inattentive type of ADHD, though I am not yet officially diagnosed, learning about this has also made me notice some similarities in Max's behavior.
Inattentive ADHD is very common in girls but underdiagnosed. I started noticing Max has signs of it. Her student file describes her as attentive, but people with inattentive adhd can seem attentive even if there mind is elsewhere. Inattentive ADHD is 'a subtype of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder that often manifests as limited attention span, distractibility, forgetfulness, or procrastination.' "Sidetracked by external or unimportant stimuli: No matter how much you want to tune into a task, it’s common to get sidetracked by a thought, topic, or event that suddenly demands your internal attention. For instance, you might be attending a show by your favorite comedian and find yourself zoning out for 5 minutes to think about what pandas eat."
"Inattentive adults are dreamers, doodling on their notes during a big meeting or studying a fly on the wall while their spouses are asking about bills. Often nicknamed “space cadets” or written off as flaky, many people misinterpret their lack of focus as lack of interest — and can get frustrated by their inability to pay attention, especially when it’s important that they do so."
We see this happening the very first episode. Though granted, Max is in a bit of shock from her storm dream. But as Jefferson talks Max can get distracted looking at her bag, at her journal, her pencil case, she can look at everything on her desk and lose herself in thought. She even ends up taking a selfie as Jefferson is talking!
"I haven't kept up with my journal as much as I should." "Look at this crap! How can I show this to Mr. Jefferson? I can hear the class laughing at me now." "I can't believe I still have this pencil case. I should upgrade to the 21st century. But I like it old school." "My little camera bag is battered, but still kicking."  "I do love my analog camera. I should take a quick picture now." After selfie she can look at camera as Jefferson is talking: "Sorry, Max. No more selfies right now." In Jefferson's class in episode 1 we can see Max also has a bunch of doodles along with her notes, suggesting she can lose focus.
Tumblr media
In Jefferson's class, we see in episode 2 Max has paper out on her desk, which you can choose to doodle on, becoming unfocused on what he is saying.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Chloe texts Max, Max takes out her phone to look, getting called out by Jefferson to put her phone away.
Tumblr media
Given everything going on in Max's life from her storm dream to her super powers it makes sense Max would be extra distracted in class, but Jefferson makes comments that also suggest this is a pattern with Max.
Jefferson says to Max in the Dark Room Stupid bitch! You just don't listen, do you? (threateningly) In fact, you never did hear much in my class; if you had, you might have seen all this coming.
When Max returns to the dark room in episode 5 after having escaped and she doesn't hear Jefferson, he says
Jefferson: Jesus. It's like you're back in my class. You're still...spacing...out. It might be cool if you took one of your patented selfies now... This suggests Max's struggle to focus in class wasn't just because of everything happening with her powers and Chloe.
When Jefferson asks her his question in class her responses are Max: I did know! ...But I kinda forgot.
Max: You're asking me? Let me think... Um... This fits how those with inattentive ADHD can be very forgetful. Homework is kicking my ass. I bet the teachers grade harder just to stop you from feeling special. I have an assload of homework already. So much bullshit. At least give us noobs a day to acclimate. Like a dork I couldn't figure out what to wear, so I chose what was on the floor. I'm no good with names and faces right away, but I picked up some names like KateBrookeTaylorAlyssa... Max seems pretty overwhelmed by her school life too. She can also be disorganized, writing about choosing an outfit off the floor, likely because she got distracted and didn't put her clothes away. She has trouble remembering the names of her classmates. I relate to all of this!
Even Max's classmates have noticed... Juliet: Uh, why do you care? Why are you even asking me? You never talk, just zone out with your camera.
Max: That's why I'm talking to you now.
Juliet: What's my last name?
Max: Juliet...Juliet...Olson. (you have 4 options)
Juliet: That was truly sad. Thanks for your concern, "Max Caulfield". By the way, Juliet Watson.
We see that Max is known to be spacey, forgetful, distracted easily in class and often finds her mind drifting to other things, or getting distracted by her journal or other items around her. Max even displayed doodling behavior in childhood too. When she and Chloe were kids, this was left on Chloe's homework Great job as always Chloe. Now PLEASE try to pay attention in class instead of drawing pictures with Maxine. Max's thoughts: Chloe and I were doing a lot of drawing in Ms. Shelley's class.
Tumblr media
We know from Max doodling in class she does this even without Chloe around as a distraction. When Max looks at Chloe's report card, Max thinks, "As usual, Chloe's grades are better than mine. I still kick her butt in PE, though." I wonder if perhaps for Max, who was the inattentive adhd type and could get restless, if PE was good for her focus since it involved getting up and moving around. Max having inattentive ADHD might explain why she struggled in school and wasn't able to go to a school like Blackwell Academy like Chloe for grade nine but was able to for grade twelve by getting the extra help needed in Seattle to be able to make the grades for Blackwell.
Max even procrastinates for her favourite subject!
The winner gets a trip to San Francisco and lots of publicity. He wants just one photograph from each student. This is exactly why I wanted to come to Blackwell and of course I'm scared shitless to enter. At least I have a couple weeks before the deadline in October. So I have plenty of time to stress and procrastinate. Sigh.
Max having inattentive ADHD along with social anxiety could even help understand further why she was ignoring Chloe. Max was in shock over William's death and she didn't know how to be there for her friend, with the inattentive ADHD also playing a role perhaps in Max forgetting to say, respond to Chloe's texts in Before the Storm or just remembering to text which created this cycle of guilt where she kept putting it off and forgetting as she let herself get distracted by other things and then would remember and be eaten alive by guilt and put it off. I know myself I can forget about texts sent to me so easily as my mind finds other things to focus on. It's especially easy to forget the world when you hyper focus on other things, and people with inattentive adhd can have intense hyper focus on things that interest them. "Hyperfocus, a common — but confusing — ADHD symptom, is the ability hyper fixate on an interesting project or activity for hours at a time. It is the opposite of distractibility, and it is common among both children and adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder." "But whatever holds the attention, the result is the same: Unless something or someone interrupts, hours drift by as important tasks, and relationships fall by the wayside." It is also interesting that Max's phone has no texts from her Seattle friends, and she only writes about them once, as her mind becomes consumed by Blackwell life. Once she reconnects with Chloe, she no longer struggles with communication and is even very fast answering her texts. She can take time to answer others though! Max seems to display a lot of behaviors of inattentive adhd but ultimately with the game only taking place October 7-11 and Farewell in a day it is hard to really know for sure. But she does display all of the signs in different ways throughout the game and other characters remarks suggest it is a pattern for her. Social Anxiety? Hannah Telle, who I highly enjoy hearing her thoughts on Max on, has shared some thought on Max's social anxiety and IEP.
Hannah Telle: I think that Max was in shock over William's death and the fact that she was leaving her life in Arcadia Bay to start all over at such a difficult age. I also think she was afraid to reach out because she wouldn't know the right thing to say and thought Chloe would be mad at her for leaving and not want to talk to her. I think both girls eventually assumed the other didn't want to talk to them and then they fell apart. Also, I'm sure Max was overwhelmed with being all alone in a big city when she suffers from social anxiety. Maybe she just withdrew even further and wasn't really talking to anyone. I can definitely relate to that.
Hannah Telle talking about Max: Her timidness, her introvertedness, her desire to NOT be so introverted and not be so timid but she doesn't even really know at the beginning of the game that she needs or wants that, she can't even imagine what life would be like on the other side of her own withdrawn boundaries and just sometimes I feel like Max might feel like she's got a glass wall between her and everyone else around her and like when she's with Chloe maybe she doesn't feel that wall, that glass wall so strongly and I really relate to that it's like some kind of psychological thing that I experience feeling like I'm separated from the other person I'm talking with unless it's like a very certain person
On Max's IEP
Hannah Telle: I was never made aware of any inside information about Max's Individualized Education Program but I do have some thoughts. I do think that Max is highly intelligent and overly self-aware. I find her extremely introverted nature at the start of the game to be a bit concerning. I think maybe Max struggles with some kind of issue where she is incapable of believing in herself or using her voice. I definitely can relate to that. I think her sudden onset of power interferes with this problem and ultimately solves it for her without the need for therapy or medication because it forces her to come out of her shell and speak up. When Chloe asks Max what she likes to do now that she's all grown Max, Max can say "Not much. You know me. I like to observe the world more than participate." After rewinding, Max can share this.
Max: I take photos. Of me, the world, everything. It may sound sad, but I have a blast. Chloe: It doesn't sound that sad. Max: I'm happiest when I've got a great image in my lens. I'm not lonely, not afraid... When Max is not taking photos she feels lonely and afraid. She has been without her best friend for five years and seems to have only made two friends (Fernando and Kristen and going from texts she hasn't kept in touch) Max even can say to Chloe of Seattle, "It was cool, but...I felt kinda lonely, out of my league." Max struggled in Seattle.
Max also tries to explain to Chloe why she didn't keep in touch.
Max: I wanted to. I was just so tripped out over leaving Arcadia... Chloe: Oh, please. I'm sure your phone and laptop were frozen in time. Max: You're merciless.
Max: Give me a break. I was going through changes...like you. Chloe: I guess those changes included dumping me from your life. Max: That's not true, Chloe. Chloe: Bullshit. You thought you'd hook up with all these art pricks in Seattle. Didn't happen, though. Max: You're merciless.
Max: I'm sorry. I know things were tough on you when I left. Chloe: How do you know? You weren't even here. Max: I didn't order my parents to move specifically to fuck you over, Chloe. Chloe: You've been at Blackwell for almost a month without letting me know. 'Nuff said.
Max: I just wanted to settle in first and not be such a shy cliché geek. I totally would have contacted you...
I think Max isn't good at handling confrontation. She doesn't know how to explain to Chloe why she wasn't there, not sure how to put to words why she couldn't reach out. She also struggles with the social anxiety of Chloe seeing she hasn't changed much (Shy cliche geek) and is also using that embarrassed feeling to avoid her. She also doesn't know how to explain why she didn't reach out after a month. Max's social anxiety and fears about Chloe being mad at her were making her put it off. She thinks this looking at a photo of them. "...Max and Chloe: Best Friends Forever. Who even says that anymore? I'm going to have to call Chloe eventually and find out what she'll say. The longer I wait, the worse it'll be. Idiot." Her inattentive ADHD likely didn't help, finding it all to easy to lose herself in distractions.
Max apologizes to Chloe, but she never gives her an explanation in the game because Max didn't know how to explain herself. Then there’s Chloe Price. What do you say to your best friend after five years of silence? After finding out you saved her life in a bathroom? NOTHING. I feel so lame for not staying in touch… or even text. I have no idea how to process seeing Chloe like this again. For one thing, she looks so similar but so different… She’s all grown up now, but it doesn’t seem like she’s only one year older than me. Max also admits I feel bad because I wonder if I was happy to move away just to avoid the grief…
In Farewell, Max even worries about how often she should write. "It might be actually really fun to write Chloe letters after I move. Is writing once a week to often? Will I run out of things to say?" She sounds very worried at that last part. Hearing Max think that might feel strange, with how close Chloe and her are and how easy it is for them to talk now, but Max's social anxiety was making her over think and worry about how much she should write or fear she wouldn't know what to say. Many with social anxiety struggle with communication long distance when they can't see the person. Max also shares this fear to Chloe. Max: I'm so worried that I won't be okay without you.
Chloe: Hey, stop that. Of course you'll be okay.
Chloe: We're Max and Chloe, remember? We're always together, even when we're not.
Max: That's true.
Chloe: Cool. Let's find something fun to do.
Given she ends up lonely in Seattle and also tells Chloe something that suggests when she's not taking photos she is lonely and afraid, I don't think she was okay without Chloe, just like she feared. She was missing her best friend but unable to fight her social anxiety to reach back out, even after she returned. She didn't make many friends because of her social anxiety, and her inattentive adhd kept her to distracted to face anything. Max also shows her social anxiety in how long she waits to tell Chloe about moving. By the time she finally works up the courage to tell her after being a ball of anxiety, she's moving in 3 days. Max: Chloe?
Chloe: Max?
Max: I want to tell you...something.
Chloe sits on the couch next to her.
Chloe: Okay.
Max: I'm, um... My family's moving to Seattle really soon. Hey.
Chloe: In three days, right?
Max: What? You knew that?
Chloe: Our parents do talk, you know?
Max: But, they said I should be the one to tell you—
Chloe: They still told my parents. I guess Mom and Dad were trying to keep quiet, too, but they're bad at hiding anything. Don't look so worried Max, it's okay. (lightly shoves Max's shoulder) Come on, dorkmeister. It's not the end of the world.
Max: I should've just told you earlier. God, I feel so stupid. (She covers her face with her hands in anxiety)
Chloe: Max, I said it was okay.
Max: I was trying to tell you this morning, but—
Chloe: But I totally distracted you with the pirate tape! Success!
Max: Seriously?
Chloe: I didn't want this hanging over us all day.
Chloe: Plus I know you hate this kind of conversation, so...I just left it alone, you know?
Chloe takes Max's hand and pulls her off the couch and holds her hand.
Chloe: Come on, I want to spend every minute we have together having fun.
Max hasn't just been having these thoughts only this day, she's been anxious about telling Chloe for along time.
Max: (thinking) I've spent so much of my life here, every little corner is familiar. Comforting.
Max starts bouncing the ball against the drawing board.
Max: (thinking) These games we're playing...buried pirate treasure from our past selves.
Max: (thinking) Is this why I keep pushing off telling Chloe I'm leaving? Because I don't want to ruin this time together?
Max: (thinking) Is this all selfish of me? Why is this making me feel more guilty about leaving? (doesn't try to tell chloe) Max: (thinking) I guess now's my chance to tell Chloe I'm leaving. We might not be alone again once her parents get back.
Chloe: Hey, ready for something else? I've got a great plan for the rest of the afternoon.
Max: (thinking) Crap. I don't want to ruin the rest of the day.
Chloe: You're staying for dinner, right?
Max: (thinking) Would Chloe even want me to tell her?
"It's so hard to believe. This room, this house, this town... all in the past now. Or soon to be. Who even am I without Chloe? She's the one who's always starting things, pulling us into adventures. I can't imagine life without her. Maybe I haven't told her I'm leaving yet because I still can't believe it's real myself." "Chloe Price. My best friend. It's so weird being back in this attic after so long. I remember being terrified of this place. I think when you're a kid, you're only afraid of things that can hurt you. But when you get older, you become more afraid of hurting the people you care about. And spiders. Man, I'm gonna miss her."

Regarding the most toxic Tommy-antis, please consider
I fully understand the need to rant and vent about some of the most ridiculous and gross hatred that's being spread about Tommy and Bucktommy lately, I do.
However, please
a) do not let it get to you! This person is likely a teenager who can't be very well or balanced because they feel the need to spend this much energy on something negative and toxic. That's not a sign of a well-adjusted human being.
DON'T give them any power by letting their ridiculous, juvenile behavior affect you negatively.
b) consider that when you are making yet another tumblr post ranting about it, or dissecting how bad it is and what bigotry it implies, you are doing the above. You are taking it seriously; you are giving it power to affect you, which is exactly what that person wants! And more so, you are spreading the upsetting and infuriating knowledge, thereby negatively affecting others.
The Tommy-related tags, or my dash of users who are mainly focused on Tommy and Bucktommy are full of complaints by people who saw upsetting/annoying/infuriating anti-content. Which is understandable, like I said, but what it does is letting the negativity overpower the enjoyment. For everyone.
DO NOT give the antis (and specifically a sad, lonely child) that much power over yourself and the whole fandom!
And lastly, please be careful with the report feature. Hate towards a fictional character - infuriating as it can be - is not hate speech or any other violation. Spam could be a legitimate reason for reporting, if they keep sending the same messages to you or others, and so are direct attacks against real people. So please make sure those parameters are met and that you are reporting content correctly. Otherwise, you might be flagged for abusing the reporting feature and lose your account (worst case, but could happen).
Block and ignore. DO NOT interact. Let them hear/read crickets as response and see that all their efforts were in vain. That's the most effective thing you can do!

Hi there. I wanted to make a request for something a bit personal. All this week, my family has been criticizing my weight (which I have struggled with my whole life) and told me point-blank that no one would ever love me because of it. That being said, I would like to request a writing with Soap. Let's say the reader has been avoiding sex with him for a while. They'll kiss and stuff, but as soon as he starts pulling her shirt up, she pulls it back down and makes some sort of excuse. This goes on for a while until Soap confronts her about it. She basically then goes off, pointing out all her bodily flaws and how fat and hideous she thinks she is and asks him how he could ever think she was sexy. And all he says is, “How can I NOT?” And he makes love to her and every time she makes a complaint about her body or calls herself ugly, she shushes her, ultimately taking her in front of a mirror and making her look at herself and how sexy she looks taking him. And when they're done, Soap should talk about how she's not fat, she's cute and squishy.
hello! i'm not taking requests cuz i'm in a slump but firstly, im really sorry to hear that. nothing like the people who're supposed to take care of you being the ones to tear you down first. they can bite rocks. maybe swallow, depends.
secondly, soap would make you stare at yourself in the mirror during sex. he'd want you to point out every single flaw you see just so he can tell you what he sees. (which is perfection, in case you weren't aware.)
what you hate most he'll kiss, touch, praise. he'd say that that is what he loves the most. if you don't love it, then he will. and if they won't take care of what's most precious to him, then he'll take you away. far away where the only thing you'll ever have to worry about is getting over the irrational fear of smothering him when you use his face as a chair.
and dinner. man loves to eat and he loves anything that you make with your own hands. and yes, that definitely includes cereal. if you made it (or put it together) it's the best thing he's ever tasted. also, he gatekeeps you. sorry 141! he's a selfish man. last thing he wants is to share your attention 😌

I'm going to a writer's conference later this week and will be meeting with an editor at Angry Robot. Checking out their website, I saw you'd published An Accident of Stars through them, but I know your more recent books have come through Tor. I was wondering what your experiences were like with an independent publisher, and if publishing that way is something you'd recommend to currently unpublished writers or not (feel free to disregard this ask if that's something you'd rather not get into, of course. I was just hoping to hear a little more from someone more knowledgeable than me about these things).
Thanks for asking! While not wanting to speak for anyone other than myself, my experience with Angry Robot has been positive. I did have some trouble with an outside editor while publishing with AR, but that wasn't on them, and when they were made aware of the issue, they responded very professionally. Though AR is now largely under new management - meaning, the people I worked with directly for the Manifold Worlds series have since moved on - I'm in occasional contact with some of their current employees (for promotional and new cover purposes) and have no complaints to levy.
There's no one definitive experience of indie publishing; like most things, it can vary wildly depending on who you're dealing with. While indie publishers generally have less money to work with than the big houses - meaning, smaller advances and less paid publicity - they can make up for this in other ways. My very first publisher was Ford Street, a small kids' and YA indie based in Melbourne, and the owner was - and is - extremely adept at booking his authors for in-person events like school visits and bookshop signings. Precisely because they're competing against trad houses, successful indies tend to be very invested in helping their authors earn out, as they often don't have - or don't yet have - the type of high-earning back catalogues and/or big name authors that the big houses can rely on for a base level of income. They might not be able to pay as much up front, but a good indie publisher will help a new author establish themselves through things like signings, in-person and online events, and convention appearances, which benefits you both.
That being said, aside from checking whether a given publisher is good at supporting/endorsing its authors, the two main things you want to know with indies are their distribution and financial track record. In the former case, and especially if you're looking at a hybrid publisher or aren't sure of the difference between an indie, a hybrid and a vanity press, you need to have an idea of how your work will be distributed: if the publisher can get you into bookshops, if there's any international distribution, and whether, if the publisher asks for ebook, graphic novel and/or audiobook rights, they actually have the ability to produce your work in those formats. In the latter case, there's been several instances of ambitious indies collapsing and leaving authors in a limbo re: both money and rights, as happened with Night Shade Books before they were finally taken over by Skyhorse - but if you've done your due diligence and everything looks fine, then go ahead!

Book of Memories ~ Clavis, Jin, Sariel ~ Part 2
Tumblr media
Collection story
As usual, can’t guarantee 100% accuracy on this.
~~ Flashback continues ~~
The 3rd prince Clavis, with his golden eyes filled with curiosity, his refreshing and proud expression, and perfectly groomed appearance made Jin feel overwhelmed, but the latter smiled as if to brush it off.
Jin: So you're Clavis. Sorry, I'm the one that's supposed to introduce myself, but I got too caught up in my studies.
Clavis: Don't worry about it. I wanted to come see you.
Jin: Thanks. Though it's oddly stressful to suddenly have such an imposing younger brother.
Clavis: What do you mean by that?
Jin: I'm older and guys don't want to look uncool. Not only that, I just became a prince so it's even more stressful.
Clavis: Phew. You're pretty warm.
Jin: You're not so cold yourself.
Clavis: Ah, you're right. It's higher than Chevalier.
Jin: Chevalier's the 2nd prince, that prickly blond guy right?
Clavis: Yep. You better watch out around that guy, especially when he's reading. If you bother him, he'll cut you down.
Jin: A strong personality. Whoops, I've been speaking so casually when I should use some more respect since you're my senior. Should I call you "Clavis-senpai"?
Tumblr media
Clavis: Clavis-senpai...!
His eyes brightened up, but he held his small hands out as if to contain himself.
Clavis: It sounds nice, but you can call me Clavis. No need to be so formal. We're brothers after all! Ah, but you can call me that in your head if you want.
Jin: Uh-huh...
Clavis: Back to my main point, you've haven't been at court for long. That's why I've prepared some useful information for your immediate use-
Jin: Oh, I think I hear Sariel calling me.
Clavis: Wait, I'm still talking-
Jin: Sorry, maybe next time. See ya, Clavis.
Clavis: Ah, wait Jin. Listen to me!
When he didn't hear footsteps and a voice following after him anymore, Jin stopped and leaned against a windowsill.
Jin: Still being someone else's problem... ... Give me a break...
The complaints and sighs were carried away by the wind.
Jin shook his head in annoyance and returned to his daily routine.
--
Jin: You're going to the party with me?
Clavis: If my older brother Jin's going, then I'm going too. The party we're going to is going to full of obstinate people. But don't you worry. They all love art so if you bring up a thing or two, they'll start bragging. If any of those guys say anything rude, I'll spike their drink with pepper!
Jin: Oh, how dependable. How about I hold onto that pepper in case you drop it?
Clavis: Okay!
--
Tumblr media
Jin: This guy's got some gaudy sweets again. Some don't even look like sweets...
Clavis: I heard you got a perfect score on your test so we're having a tea party to celebrate!
Jin: Oh, is that why?
Clavis: Not at all! You got a good score because you studied really hard. But even if you got a bad score, I'd still reward you for your hard work. I recommend the strawberry cake. I'll brew some tea.
His small hand pointed at a plate with a cake of unique shape and color along with strawberries sticking out.
Jin raised his brows in suspicion before putting a fork full in his mouth.
Clavis: It's good, isn't it?
Jin: I-It's...unique.
Clavis: You mean it tastes like something no one else's made before? Well that's because I, a genius, made it myself. I've made sweets for my younger brothers, but never for an older brother.
Jin: ...
Clavis: There's still plenty more so eat as much as you want.
Jin: Yeah...thanks.
More eccentric than most, Clavis was an unrestrained and lively typhoon that visited Jin almost every day.
Although they appeared to be like close brothers, Jin had still not adjusted to his new environment and so had a hard time accepting the fact that he had siblings.
Even so, he didn't take Clavis' concern for him lightly.
Jin, who was more awkward than most, continued to pretend to not notice that he was suppressing his true feelings.
--
Sariel: It seems that Prince Clavis has taken a shine to you.
One afternoon in the library-
Jin was studying in the corner when Sariel silently approached him.
Jin: Fortunately? Don't know why though. But...if we're going to be brothers, than it's better than being treated poorly.
Sariel: You... No, nevermind.
Jin: It makes sense. I'm curious, but if there's not much to it, then I won't question it. Even so, being popular would be a pain. It's just been me and my mom for most of my life so I'm overwhelmed by my little brother's proactive approach. I haven't been greeted by my other brothers yet, so I guess that's just Clavis.
Sariel: Yes. He's the most proactive of the brothers, or rather, of the whole court.
Jin: Will you feel nostalgic about it someday?
Sariel: Fufu, I'm not a brother or anything like that so it's unlikely. Moreover, I currently have my hands full with traps so I'd rather not.
Jin: The guy in question's gonna cry if he heard you.
As Jin laughs, Sariel glances at the thick stack of books spread out on the table.
Sariel: You've been studying all morning, so why don't you take a break? They say that working to hard is harmful to the body.
Jin: Oh yeah...Guess I've been immersed in lessons all morning. I don't like studying, but it's the only thing keeping my mind occupied so I don't hate it.
Sariel: ... One more thing. If there's anything you want, please let me know.
Jin: Want? That's sudden.
Sariel: Since you've always lived as a commoner, this isn't a a pleasant place to live. Yet you never complain and study hard to acquire the skills needed. I believe it's not unreasonable to be selfish for once. I'll negotiate with the senior bureaucrats, okay?
Jin: ... I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.
However Jin never told Sariel what he wanted...
Then one day, a small incident occurred.

So, an opinion on the email sent by PB in response to the collected concerns/questions that were sent (which can be read in part 1 (here) and part 2 (here).
The 3 main points that I found hopeful and had a positive view on were:
Ability to obtain 500+ (emphasis on "+") Solomon Seals PER MONTH for f2p <- This one was a big concern that many, including myself, had as it felt extremely paywalled when trying to obtain a character many would want only to realize they can't even participate during the chance-up period because they have to pay. To be able to obtain 500+ Solomon Seals without charge (as mentioned in the twt) is equivalent to getting a free 10-pull. Based on PB's response, it looks like the Seals for f2p players would be obtainable from grinding + login gifts which I personally perceive as grinding directly for keys. Though there are complaints already from hearing "more grinding" or "just 500 Solomon Seals", I think it's better compared to having to spend currency just to obtain another currency when the currency for solely spending in the shop can be used solely for resources
Consideration of exchanging characters to obtain L-grade characters <- Whoever brought this up as a point of discussion was smart. Since many of us are pulling multiple characters of various S, A+, A, and B characters, it would be nice to be able to exchange them for L-grades not just for pancakes with their tea leaves
To be able to choose the character we want after reaching 220 limited-gacha/pity <- I don't think this needs to be explained why I or anyone else are happy about this.
I still feel bitter about the Nightmare pass as it seems like PB is not going to reconsider more wiggle-room or opportunities for f2p to gain the rewards offered including Christmas Gabriel. For myself, personally, if the company had not introduced the concept of the Nightmare pass as a Christmas event, I wouldn't be as bitter. But, for many gaming companies, Christmas events are treated as more carrot over the stick (i.e., more rewards being evenly distributed and accessible towards all f2p and p2w players). And that wasn't the case with the Nightmare pass at all. Not going to lie though, the response PB had sent hurt my heart when reading about the working conditions the employees are going through to provide content to the players through the game. Only 2 breaks per month for the employees? CS managing ALL of the emails AND social media? That's insane. Small companies are SMALL companies, meaning there are a small amount of employees. I can only imagine the sheer stress these people have to not only produce content and developing the game but also sifting through and responding and addressing all of the issues. In addition, they acknowledge the flaws that have led towards the negative impact of the game and apologized multiple times in the email. Mind everyone, the email, itself, was 8 pages long. I don't know about everyone else, but if that's not considered as showing sincerity and honesty than... I don't know what is at this point. I can't imagine them making things up and say it as a reply in an email when knowing the LU/DKDK had such a small number of players which would make sense to have 50 players be p2w players... The story and lore is engaging and the battles are fun though sometimes it can get a bit tiring when being forced to play just to grind for resources rather than playing for fun. That as well as the other bugs that still needs to be addressed. However, it's not to the point to garner such negativity where complaints should be sent with a mix of entitlement and bigotry. And not just towards PB but also towards players who are simply expressing their enjoyment of the game. But, let's all look forward to the content that will be dropping in January including Chapter 5 and perhaps even a new L-grade character feat. the king of Paradise Lost!

Spy x Family CODE: White new trailer and predications (no.2)
Another new CODE: White trailer aired on Saturday as a commercial with the new episode, but it was officially released on YouTube earlier this morning. With this trailer, we can confirm that the woman who Yor sees with Loid is Fiona.

Apparently a lot of people are upset about this, but I don't think it's a big deal. I keep hearing complaints that this scenario is repetitive, but it only happened one time when Fiona was first introduced. In that case, Yor was jealous just knowing Loid had a female coworker that he seemed to be close with. But in the case of the movie, she actually sees them kiss, or thinks they did at least, which is a lot more extreme. So it makes sense that she would be upset and, depending on how the movie handles this subplot, I don't think it's necessarily detrimental to her character. We also don't know for sure if Loid and Fiona are actually kissing, if they just appear to be from Yor's POV, or if Yor only imagines that they did. But regardless, one thing for sure is that it was not a kiss of passion. We know Twilight has kissed many women "for the mission," so maybe he had to do it to Fiona for whatever reason. Since movies based on anime series are created with a more general audience in mind - people who aren't necessarily fans and only have a vague idea of what the series is about - plus the movies aren't allowed to alter the canon of the manga, I'll be lenient if they use a few rehashed ideas. But even if the jealous Yor subplot does end up feeling a bit forced, if it leads to juicy Twiyor moments, I'm sure a lot will be forgiven 😅
Anyway, as far as updating my movie chronology predictions, this new trailer pretty much only answered the question of what woman Yor saw with Loid (so Twilight's woman disguise from the very first trailer didn't mean anything, lol). Though it is interesting that Fiona isn't in disguise here. She's wearing a nice outfit too...maybe she wanted to meet Twilight off-duty for some reason? Maybe because she heard he was being removed from Operation Strix? And maybe Twilight saw Yor nearby and jumped in front of Fiona so Yor wouldn't see her face, making it look like he's kissing her? But again, the screenshots from this trailer could also be exaggerations in Yor's imagination, not what actually happened.
We're likely to get at least one more of these short teasers, since the previous one was focused on Loid, this one was focused on Yor, so maybe Anya and Bond next? Can't believe we're less than a month away until the movie officially releases! 🤩

kind of related but not- I'm genuinely sorry to be posting so much or about Lily Orchard, guys. Prior to Courtney coming on and telling us her story I was mostly just taken aback and angry with Lily as "one of those critic types" in my circle of vision.
It sucks -and yeah I know other critics don't want to hear this+Lily will use this fact as an excuse to discredit ppl's complaints abt her. but I think a lot of us were initially exposed to Lily because they knew of andor were fans of her cartoon criticism content. In my case I knew Lily from her days of Bronydom and have watched her make more and more meanMEAN material even w it's not about internal fandom dramacallouts. Back in those days and up to last year I could say of Lilly the same thing I'd say for a lot of people who annoy me online: I think she's a bully. Which is still bad, it's just not 'criminal', inherent. Comparing her to Rebecca Sugar, Lindsay Ellis, Contrapoints or VivziePop would be stupid as she really doesn't have even half the portfolio or wherewithall as any of those people -or even Zena and Poppy, not that they're angels. Lily was/is annoying because she'd use other people's genuine concerns and talking points. There's a certain takenupbyaltlight-term that I begrudginly would love to use for Lily that REALLY hits the nail on the head with her, be it as a fan, a critic or an activist. But I won't use it. Not because it's untrue, but because it's used by the same people who write her kiwifarm pages and misgender her and clearly couldn't give a crap about her if she didn't make them "lol"
But then, I actually looked at some of Britt's receipts and skimmed bits and pieces of what remains of Stockholm (I think you all already know this but @britts-galaxy-brain the links are missing now). For years, I'd known and listened to others honestly harp on Lily as some kind of counter-initiative for her going after their fav foalcon people. I assumed it was more of the same. It's not. Lily 100% wrote cp and is trying to hide it. No not fiction abt young adults that delves into erotic and sexisms; not stuff with aged-up child characters being big boobied of themselves thru the gaze or r34 artists. She wrote cp.
Essense of Thought's and that one hour long video talking about Stockholm were the first real horrifying revelation. Then I read through Brittney's saved messages from Lily and 'Tara'. Then I saw Patch's video.
THEN, Courtney came out and told everyone on here and her server everything we needed to know. I don't abide by everything Courtney says, especially about her abusers but I mean they're her abusers and please stop asking her to like the children who're valued more than her in the lives of her abusers, or at least maybe vent openly not to Courtney directly about your fear for those kids Cameron has. Yeah, I'm also concerned but idk there's got to be a better way to handle this. Anyway, as previously stated, I believe Courtney, Britt, and Patch. There's no way that those people have faked that stuff. I've heard kind of stretched explanations being true, but there's no way Stockholm was "edited by pedos" like Lily's saying it was I know I'm missing a few folks in there but I believe a lot of people have been genuinely victimized by LO and aren't just acting out of transphobia, bigotry.
Of what I can attest based on what I've seen, I KNOW that Lily Orchard wrote 'fluffy' foalcon and is saying she didn't, and also that the woman hates the word "queer".
Of what has been shown to me, I fully BELIEVE Lily Orchard is an abusive, sockpuppeting predator. Not only that, she's hiding behind other predator's existence to lie to her audience of other abused people to convince both them and herself that she couldn't possibly be a predator.
In 2013, what was 10 years from now, there was a controversy in the MLP fandom where a minor rose a (not undeserved) stink abt the askblog Princess Molestia and how it was making light of r*pe, intentionally or not. To counter this, a bunch of mouthbreathing bronies took it upon themselves to prove they weren't creeps by threatening the underrage sa victim, making r*pe porn of her while other mouthbreathers basically said "yeah put she's [the minor] annoying so it's the same kind of evil we're doing, really". Centrists.
Why this matters to me is (CW. CW. CW) you can find a post from Tara Callie, who was almost certainly one of Lily's alts at the time, admitting she found the r*pe art of Pinkiepony "hot", all the while Lily herself was publicly denouncing Pinkie's treatment by the fandom.
Lily Orchard is an awful human being. She does not have intrusive thoughts or fears of acting on those intrusive thoughts sometimes, like me and other people do. She has sexual and violent urges that she hides enough form the public to not make her followers suspect anything. She's twofaced and takes out her probable self-hate by attacking other predators. She's all deflection and lies. I can not believe a thing that vile woman says. Neither should you.
The biggest means of fighting her I think we all can do of is refusing to use her critical tag w we talk about her. Spam her "own tag". Enough hiding and denying who this terrible bigoted abusive woman really is.
Because really, her thoughts on glubshitto or whoever from Owl House are HARDLY the worst of it. Not even.

How do write without knowing everything on a topic? Extensive research and amplifying marginalized voices is important, of course. But no matter how far I get, I never feel like it’s enough. Doubt, new ideas, and gaps in knowledge keep me from writing basic school assignments to research projects I spent years on. There’s perfectionism, executive dysfunction, and interfering life events in my case. I have my shit. But I never feel like I know enough about the topic, or even writing or methodology.
I think one does have to build a tolerance for being wrong / getting critical feedback. That will happen no matter how thoroughly you perfect your work. You will always have readers telling you that you've offended them, you've missed something, you didn't write exactly what they wanted you to write, or that you have something wrong.
Some of the critical feedback that you receive will be wrong or pointless. And some of it will be a rehashing of the most negative monologues already in your brain. There is no preventing it from happening -- there is only putting your work out into the world, controlling your exposure to critique so that it is a manageable amount for you to consume and reflect upon, and then discerning for yourself which feedback is worthy of taking in and what isn't. This too is a skill that can only be developed with practice.
The goal is not to produce something that no person has a complaint about -- good work necessarily will invite critique. If you are lucky enough to be read by a good number of people, which most writers do want to have happen, then you will hear negative feedback of a variety of kinds. Often from people you disagree with or whose perspective you don't respect anyway, right alongside meaningful feedback that will enrich your work. But you will only get that feedback by subjecting your work to it in the first place.
And the goal is not to know every single thing about a topic that has ever been written, either -- this results in far too unweildy and complicated of a draft anyway, believe me, and knowledge is constantly being revised. Try tackling a very specific sub-topic or keeping a piece relatively simple at first. That way you won't be verging into overly technical waters *or* trying to sum up the entirety of a massive topic in a single written work, which is impossible. Find a small corner that you know you can feel confident in, and don't be afraid to not know it all as you continue to work on new pieces covering new corners.
If you are a perfectionist, it is possible to trick the perfectionistic side of your brain into believing that the only way it will get better is by completing a ton of work, getting that work out into the world, and sharpening its blade against the whetstone of others' critiques. All of this is also actually true. No one gets better at a task by never completing it. If you want to really punish yourself in an effective way, set a specific goal for how many pieces you want to complete, or how many placements of articles you want to have done -- and judge yourself against that, rather than some vague notion of perfection for any particular draft.
If you're like most writers, you will have to get the mediocre pieces out of yourself before the good ones will come. Took about 15 years of them for me. It was mostly worth it, and I did have some fun along the way. Good luck!

Sam tapped his fingers along with the music of the TV show playing, a little too distracted to check what that show was.
It was Brady's idea, something to wind down after the week of tests they'd had.
His attention darted away when his phone vibrated on his side, and raised his eyebrows at who it was.
Jess rarely texted him at night unless it was an emergency. Did anything weird happen?
"Who is it?" Brady asked.
"Jess," he mumbled.
His friend turned back to the show, and he stood up when he saw her calling him.
"Hey," he picked up. "Is everything alright?"
"Yeah, yeah," she answered quickly. "Remember when you said you owed me a favour?"
Sam's shoulders fell and he rolled his eyes.
Of course he did. Jess hadn't stopped wavering that fact over his head since she rescued him for a date.
"You're cashing that in now?"
"Yep," she confirmed, chipper. "We got a new girl wanting to join."
Sam frowned.
This definitely wasn't the time people usually joined sororities. It was the middle of the semester.
"A new girl?" he repeated.
Jess' Sorority wasn't any different from others in many aspects. Lots of girls running around a house, doing girly things and whatever.
Sam was in a fraternity, and they usually worked together in events. It wasn't like he was a frat guy, but Brady practically forced him to do it, promising it was for networking everything and totally not an excuse to get piss drunk every other Saturday.
And there was something his fraternity did to Jess' Sorority.
As a way to bond and form a good working relationship.
It wasn't every single brother who did. They had to go through a test, be approved by the girls and be selected after years of studying at Stanford. If one girl had anything to say about any of the chosen brothers, if they had a single complaint or report that they were anything but respectful, they would be kicked right out.
And now that Jess was the head of the house, she always picked Sam for the... delicate cases.
"She just turned nineteen," she explained slowly. "And I would wait until next year for her to join, but she is Aria's sister and I couldn't say no to her."
"Did I hear Aria's name?" Brady jumped to his side, surprising him. "Oh, I miss her and her big tits!"
Sam rolled his eyes.
"Stop eavesdropping, dude," he pushed him away.
"Well, Sam,” she giggled. “Her sister is prime jail…”
His eyes widened.
“Don’t!” he tried to interrupt her.
“Bait!” Jess giggled more.
Sam felt his cheeks red, flushing.
"Jess, don't say that!" he hissed.
"She is so short!" she explained. "They don't even look alike, Sam! I can cover both her tits with a single hand of mine, it's adorable!"
He pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Jess, are you sure she is of age?" he insisted.
Her Sorority obviously had an age rule - one which Sam kind of wished was a little higher, not just 19, but 21.
"Absolutely," she assured him. "I checked with Aria and her birth certificate. I'm not careless, Sammy."
"Is she giving you the girl?" Brady slapped his shoulder.
Sam rolled his eyes.
How Brady's hearing was good enough for him to listen to his conversations, but not to wake up to his alarm, he didn't know.
"I'm sending her Instagram over," Jess told him. "Be nice, Sam."
He looked at the screen, and before he could even look at the link, Brady snatched his phone from his hand.
"Dude!" Sam groaned.
"Oh, she is hot!" Brady exclaimed.
He strode back to him, but Brady just rush out of the way.
"Look at that cute ass," he continued. "Damn, Sam, why does she always give you all the good girls? I bet I could make her cream so much..."
Sam threw himself over him, wrestling Brady to get his phone out of his hands.
It was easy. Brady wasn't trained under having Dean Winchester as an older brother, so Sam easily manhandled him, ignoring how it was squashing his ego, and stood up, unblocking the phone and actually getting to see the Instagram Jess had sent over.
She was indeed very pretty.
Jess was right, though. She couldn't be over 5 feet tall - maybe even inches under that - and had a pretty small frame.
It wasn't like you couldn't know she was an adult, but she indeed looked like she was just 18.
He looked through the photos and stopped when he found one with her in a bikini, really enjoying that California sun on her skin, and licked his lips.
Jess really knew how to appeal to him.
"Do you like her?" Jess asked teasingly on the other side of the line, still waiting for what he had to say.
Sam scoffed. Of course he did, and she knew it.
"When is her ceremony?"

Being best friends with Eddie has its perks. Free weed, a ride to school everyday, constant sleep overs and movie nights, the whole nine yards. You both found peace in each other. Him being able to distract you from your house full of younger siblings and parents on the verge of divorce and you being one of the only people to willingly want to be his friend and talk to him. You knew everything about each other. Well, not everything. You'd been keeping a small, silly secret from Eddie, afraid that he'd make fun of you for it for the next few months. The secret? You'd never given a blowjob before. Sure you'd hooked up with guys, but it's never come down to doing that. They always wanted to please you. Which you're not complaining about, but you want to do it at least once so you know what you're doing just in case a guy actually does ask for one.
Tonight was no different than any other Friday night at Eddie's trailer. You two watching some shitty movies and being so stoned you think you're hearing shapes. The two of you giggling about god knows what and talking about literally any and everything.
"Hey Eddie," you giggled "I've got a confessionnnn."
He gave you a concerned look, but laughed along with you. "Lay it on me princess." What came out of your mouth next was not what he was expecting at all.
"I've never.....sucked a guy off." And just like that you realized that the shapes were gone and now you were left horrified awaiting his response.
"Really? Why?" He had a serious, yet intrigued look on his face. Not the response you were expecting.
"I don't know it's just...i've never been asked t— wait...why aren't you making fun of me right now?" you questioned.
"Oh no believe me i'm going to, i'm just curious. So you mean to tell me, that out of all the guys you've hooked up with, none of them wanted a blowjob???"
You shook your head no.
"Freaks. They don't know what they're missing."
"What's it like?" you were expecting him to just explain in detail what happens, but his answer made your stomach flip upside down.
"Want me to teach you? I could use one anyway, been a while." You stared blankly at him for the next couple of seconds before he spoke again, "You don't have to if you don't want to, I just figured we could kill two birds with one stone." He shrugged, sitting back into the couch getting comfy again as if what he just asked you was a simple yes or no question.
"U-Um...sure." You stuttered.
He sat up again and moved closer to where you were sitting, grabbing your arms tightly. "Are you really sure? I don't want you to feel pressured." He's suddenly nervous about this, realizing how this could possibly change your friendship. Sure you guys have shared kisses before, but they were only for dares or if you both were drunk. It didn't bother either of you, and you never had a complaint, he was a phenomenal kisser.
"Yea. Let's do it." He gave you a kiss on your cheek after your response before guiding you to the floor in front of him and you blush at the feeling of being on your knees for thee Eddie Munson. Although this would probably be something you both put in the back of your minds after it's over, you still wanted to please him to your best ability, otherwise you'd never want to show your face here again.
Your nerves began to kick in as he started to undo his belt. The sound of the metals from his rings and belt clinking was something you'd never thought would turn you on. He watches your face in awe, smirking and getting hard at the sight of you on your knees for him. "C'mere for a sec sweetheart." He pulls you up onto his lap so you're straddling him and brushes your hair out of your face, tucking it behind your ear. Both of his hands rest on the sides of your face and he slowly pulls you in for a kiss. The cold of his rings clashes with the warmth of your cheeks, sending a shiver down your back, making you unintentionally grind on him. He lets out a hum as he gets fully hard and brings his hands down to your hips to guide your movements for a couple more minutes. Breaking the kiss, his hands come up to cup your face once more.
"As much as I'd love to see and feel you ride me, we have something else to do."
He lifts you up so he can pull down his jeans and boxers as you get back down onto the floor. You look absolutely angelic to him right now, so sweet, somewhat innocent and so, so beautiful. Your eyes widen at his size, causing your nerves to kick in and him to smirk. His hand comes around to your neck, slightly gripping to bring you forward.
"This might sound kinda silly, but just think of it as sucking a popsicle." he explains. "Just spit in your hand first and rub it around to lube it up a little. Kinda hurts if it's dry."
You nod, doing as he says, taking him in your hand, pumping a few times to rub your saliva around before bringing your mouth forward. As your lips wrap around him you hear him groan, causing you to stop, fearing you already did something wrong. "Go ahead, it's okay." You begin to take him deeper into your mouth and as you begin to go back up, your teeth slightly scrape him and he lets out a hiss.
"Oh fuck I'm so sorry. That's so embarassing god I'm sorry, Eddie." You blush in embarrassment as you sit back onto your heels, debating if you should stop. "M-maybe this was a mistake." At this point you're too embarassed to even look at him.
"Relaaaxx, Y/N, I don't expect you to be a porno star your first time. Just...don't use your teeth that's all. I'm okay, all good I promise." He says, rubbing your face to comfort you. You slowly go back to where you were before, and take him in your mouth once more, without teeth of course. This time, you slowly begin to suck him and he immediately grips your hair into a ponytail, wanting to just shove you down, but he just leaves it there, not wanting to take control just yet. You get into a comfortable rhythm and begin to pick up the pace, causing him to let out a moan. "Just like that, sweetheart. Doing so good." You feel his grip on your hair get tighter and his thighs tense up, causing you to hum, which nearly sends him over the edge.
You decide to try and swirl your tongue around as you suck, and boy did that nearly do it too, as he twitches in your mouth and his breath starts to hitch. "K-Keep going. Fuck just like that." His grip is still tight around your hair, tempted to take full control at this point. As if you read his mind, you slowly take all of him into your mouth, reaching the back of your throat causing you to gag. This sensation sends him into outer space, his dick twitches once more, and he lets out the hottest moans as he gets closer and closer to euphoria. A wave of confidence floods through you and you do it again, picking up the pace, adding your hand to the mix to jerk him off as you come up to his tip and direct your focus there. You taste his precum, humming once more.
"So close, sweetheart. Keep going." he begs.
You lock eyes with him as you suck and stroke him for a little longer, getting sloppier and messier each time. "Jesus Christ." His breathing sporadic, legs shaking as he groans and finally releases into your mouth. You swallow every last drop, releasing him with a 'pop' sound and kissing his tip.
"Still gonna make fun of me?" You smirk up at him as you wipe your mouth on your t-shirt.
He pulls up his boxers and brings you off the floor back onto his lap, gripping your jaw to make you look at him, desire in his eyes. "Not if you do that again sometime." He smirks, pulling your face in just milimeters from his, ghosting his thumb over your puffy lips. "So pretty. You did so good." he praises, kissing you gently.
I am melting k bye.
