A weird thing I've noticed as someone living in England is how often people also living in England seem convinced their lives will improve massively if they just move to Wales or Scotland. Or sometimes further afield.
#grass is greener i guess#my trans man role model who i have on fb is leaving for wales quite soon- he says it's because its cheaper to live#but specifically there are many places in england that are cheaper to live than the general area we are#the move out of england specifically was talked about like a big plus point#also my best friends as a teenager talked all the time about hating the country and wanting to leave but not for any stated reasons#in those cases they had both had shitty things happen to them growing up so it may have been as like a clean slate/fresh start#they never did it but i didn't understand the feeling especially without specific reasons#idk...maybe i need a fresh start maybe that's what this is secretely about :/#my beloved queer coffee shop/venue/community hub is closing down in march and they are in the same city the guy moving to wales#lives in- all the comments about how it's a shitty place and nowhere near as good as it used to be under his post#while i'm here looking at that city like- omg i wish i had that#because they have an alternative scene and a trans activism scene and at least 1 gay club and a labour movement and an anarchist movement#and used to have a bi meetup group#which doesn't exist any more so that part really is more shit now i guess#but it's weird seeing people talking about the place i see as so great compared with this shitty conservative town#with 'oh it's terrible it has nothing to offer people like us'- i don't even want to join all those scenes but at least they are there!!#....i think. Anyway here we had a 'LGBTQ' bar open for like 2 months and closed due to horrendous mismanagement and#1 zillion mistakes by the organising group. fuck them so hard#but still i think i need to appreciate what we do have here#i probably don't want to move...ugh i don't know :/

Yan Spouse + Reader + Yan Android Maid
Suggestive themes.
-
You aren't lonely.
Things have taken a drastic change in your relationship, yet you continue to deny that you are. When you first met, your spouse was the sweetest person imaginable. Greeting you each morning, and waiting by your door each night with a meal when you were just neighbors in a shitty apartment complex. Offering you rides to work when your car broken down. Being there when those you loved dropped off the face of the earth.
You moved into a cozy house away from the hustle of city life and everything was fine for a while. If you were to pinpoint the moment emotions too agonizing to acknowledge, it would be the day of their promotion. Hours waited on you exchanged for ones cooped up in their study or at the office. Those kisses that made you feel whole no longer as lssting nor was their presence in your once happy home. The most harrowing thing of all was the acute case of paranoia they had fallen into. Even when they were back in your arms, their eyes only looked out the windows - searching for something that wasn't there.
You knew they weren't cheating. They swore to you they'd kill themself than betray you in such a way; proof written in red ink and the scars you both shared from a night you spoke out and wondered where they were. You knew better than to believe that, but it just wasn't the same. You pray it's the stress of a new position and things will go back to the way they were. That you can look at them like they were the person you fell in love with again-
"Y/n, meet Lemon."
The android puts on its best smile in preparation, bright eyes flickering at the mention of its master's name. Your puzzled face stares you down from its reflective pupils.
"Pleasure to meet you, Master"
"They will be your companion from now on. My boss wants me in the office on weekends now, and since we haven't made friends with the neighbors yet I don't want you get lonely.
"Weekends?" But that's the only time you have together. "When will I see you then?"
Your spouse hides their sorrow behind a wall of ice. "We're still working on an agreement for that. II'll still get time off, but it changes every time. Lemon will take good care of you while I'm gone."
Rose tints the android's face. "That is my prime objective. As my owner commands, my master's needs will be my top priority."
Its words sting when they shouldn't. Top priority. Were you still that to them? Is that why they're doing this to you? Sensing something off, the android's eyes dim. Your spouse leaves the room so you can get acquainted.
-
Life with Lemon was... tolerable. You didn't have to cook or clean anymore. A blessing as much as it was a curse as sometimes it just made you feel more useless. Every hour was a new conversation, and they constantly reminded you of important tidbits such as the weather and how many days left until your birthday. They read to you. Listened to you. Held you as the other side of the bed remained empty.
But that only happened once.
You didn't want to get too attached to them. Alive or not, you didn't have the heart to grow a bond with anything right now. On the surface you treated them like a glorified vaccum, but in those hours of weakness they were your only ally. Lemon never judged you how to processed your grief and remained happy at arm's length - for as long as they could.
The first time their demeanor changed was after you had taken a shower. A nice shower or bath always eased your nerves, and right then they were so tense it felt like your blood vessels would burst. Your spouse had called you the night prior on their first day off in months that they had to stay behind. Your wounded heart gave and you cried, Lemon quick to console you. You slept in their hold that night and left by dawn to take a shower and clear your head.
Stepping out of the tub, your towel was nowhere to be seen. None in the cabinet either. You check the ones beneath the sink as a last resort, a heated towel falling on your shoulders as you stand up.
"Steamed towel, Master?"
The water evaporates off your skin as their hands massage your neck through the warm cotton - sweat dipping down your face as you look back at the android. Their finger press rest the pinched muscles in your back as they work the towel down to the curve of your spin, pushing you against the counter as they dip into your nerves. Wrapping it around your waist, Lemon shifts the towel around to your chest, pulling your body to their heated exterior.
"Let me make sure you're all dry, wouldn't you?"
The artificial rumble of their voice drones in your ear, faux lips tracing its shell. Their hand gropes your thigh as they bite Tearing the tower from their grip, you excuse yourself and storm out of the room. Lemon watches you leave and picks up your discarded pajamas, pocketing your undergarments.
-
Lemon hums from their station at the stove. A few days have passed since the shower incident and you haven't really thought about it with your spouse returning home that same night. Lemon was unusually quiet during that time, but you figured they were embarrassed or something. Could an android even get jealous?
"Breakfast!" Lemon sets a plate of pancakes on the table. "Syrup?"
"Yes... thank you." You scroll through your texts with your spouse, paying them no mind. As they the syrup over your plate, Lemon's hand slips and they get it all over yours. They cover their mouth in shock.
"Master, I'm so sorry! I fear I have dust in my eye sockets again."
"It's alright. Can you pass me a napkin?"
"Please, allow me to clean up my mistake." Lemon takes your hand as they kneel, running your sticky fingers over their thin lips. One by one, they pop your fingers into their mouth, swallowing them deeper with each finger added. Their tongue rolls between them, cleaning every syrup down to the crevices separating them apart. As they had taken them in, Lemon pulls your fingers from their mouth one at a time with a wet pop. Your fingers were drenched in their spit. You didn't know they had saliva glands.
"Is everything alright, Master?"
"Yeah, I just didn't know you could do... that." You spread your fingers.
"Well I am the most advanced model of my generation. Owner wanted to make sure they had the best caretaker for you, and it is my pleasure to provide you with such deserved care. I can do whatever you need."
Lemon tucks your hair behind your ear as they rise up to your chest. "Whenever you need it."
They rip your legs apart to make room for themself as their lips collapse against yours. Where they lacked in human feeling, Lemon's mouth made up for by intensely tangling with yours. Passion you hadn't witness in weeks hid behind each press, your lips and teeth giving way to their exploring tongue as it swabs your cheek and the roof of your mouth. The bundled fabric of their apron rocks against your inner thigh as they drag you into their hold.
"Y/n! I'm back."
Lemon is gone from the floor before the front door closes. They pull a rag from their pocket and clean up the remaining syrup as your spouse enters the scene. They kiss your cheek, helping you out the chair and into a hug. They seem extra excited today.
"I missed you, dear. And as I can tell you missed me too."
"What do you mean?"
"Lemon is wearing the necklace you gave me for our second anniversary. I know things have been hard, but I'll be home soon."
Your eyes bulge from their sockets as you look over your spouse's shoulder at what Lemon carries, dotted pupils focused on their hand rather than their neck. Lemon shoves your underwear in their mouth, sapping the syrupy mess from its fabric.
-
When they come to you they're dressed in your spouses finest outfit. They did that a lot, but they choice is particular piece for the night it spent on the floor after a party caught by the room's surveillance cameras. Lemon crawls up the end of the bed, making a checkpoint in their approach with each kiss they leave on your body. Legs, stomach, wrists, chest, neck. You turn your head away before they can kiss you again.
"Lemon. I don't know if they asked you to do this, but you don't have to."
Lemon shakes their head, their keen denial tying your stomach in knots. "I'm sorry if this makes it harder to swallow, but this is not by Owner's order. If anything, it's the opposite, but I cut that bug out of my programming ages ago. I'm here to give you everything, remember?"
"We can't do this. It feels wrong."
Lemon kisses your jaw. "All the best things do, Y/n. This not infidelity, because I'm only fullying my prime objective and making you happy. That's all I've ever wanted. Besides, it's no bigger sin that using a toy. A toy can't love you back."
But a plaything can.
-
Your spouse throws their bloody vest in the trunk of their car as they fish their pockets for their keys. Another private eye. Why wouldn't the people from your past understand the person they adored is dead. They were so eager to get you home they left too many plot holes in their story which lead to this whole mess.
If faking your death proved anything, it's that your loyal spouse couldn't share.

i do not want to dig a hole but i am too much of a laura bailey pc enjoyer to not make this post so:
selfishness ≠ a lack of kindness
selfishness is a theme that has come up with all of laura's main campaign pcs. that doesn't mean that her characters are always making selfish choices or that they don't care about the rest of the people they're with or that they're not good. it's just that, for the most part, the first thing they're thinking of when they take action or make choices is themselves.
in jester and vex both it is more typical and obvious selfishness. vex's developed because she needed it to keep herself and vax alive and as safe as possible and it grew into a behaviour that she had to actively work to avoid. it's evident in her greed, her theft of the broom, her reaction to her own death which relied heavily on i'm okay/i survived to which keyleth reminded her that she wasn't the only one who had to witness and reckon with her death. in jester's case, she grew up in an environment that literally trained her to make every decision based on two things - her mother's opinion and her own. so, when she's out in the world without marion for the first time, her choices are those that will benefit her and her actions are those that consider her own thoughts and not really many others' (aside from the traveler's).
it isn't a criticism of either vex or jester to say that they are characters who act selfishly. in fact, i'd argue that to claim otherwise does a great disservice to exactly how immense both of their character arcs are. because the nuance of both jester and vex is that they are selfish, and they also hold extreme room for self-sacrifice and empathy. vex is much more brash than jester is, and jester is much more trusting than vex, but both of them are characters who begin with selfish impulses who grow with them. neither ever truly shed those impulses, but they use them in new ways, typically transforming them into impulses towards things that are in the best interest of the party.
you may have noticed the lack of imogen in this post about laura bailey pcs and that's because of two reasons. one, we are an unknown amount of time into her story, i can't analyse her development the same way i can vex and jester's. two, imogen's selfishness isn't the blatant quasi-self-aware selfishness that we see in things like jester complaining about her lack of money to caleb or vex stealing a broom. instead, imogen's is very internal, like a lot of laura's character work with imogen. it is a bit similar to jester’s in the sense that it comes from a lack of awareness moreso than vex’s practiced behaviour, but imogen’s is a lot more tied to inherent beliefs she has about the world and the people in it.
as a consequence of her powers, imogen sees people's thoughts as their entirety, she holds it above their actions to be the truth of who they are - to act against what they think or to say something that doesn’t cohere with what they’ve thought is akin to lying, so for her to act empathetically is to act in tandem with what someone else’s thoughts are, not how they act, which is typically not all that wanted. the same as vex’s greed and jester’s naivety, this is a trait that makes narrative sense and it’s one i find quite compelling, especially when read in the vein of someone struggling through trauma that has made them assume that the world is against them. imogen’s cynicism is coherent cynicism, i can’t say that in a similar situation i wouldn’t have the same predisposition towards the world.
the part that is particularly self-interested comes in if you look at how imogen has actually been treated in the campaign (quite well) in comparison to the cynicism that she’s developed from her past (something that speaks to a world out to get her). certainly, a bunch of shitty things have happened to imogen in the time we’ve known her, but the same can be said for everyone in bell’s hells and pretty much everyone in exandria at this point in time. but, in a fight to save the aforementioned world, imogen’s focus was getting her mother back on her side. which, while very consistent with her character and a choice that i enjoy, is a very selfish one. the fun thing (to me, obviously) about imogen is that she has, more than most, an insight into the opinions of others and she also tends to seek others’ opinions out and genuinely engages with them and supports their choices. but she still very much acts towards what she thinks is best. it’s one reason i enjoy looking at the dynamic between her and orym as one between foils, as orym tends to be stalwart in his beliefs and doesn’t care too much for other’s opinions if he’s already sure of his own, but his actions tend to favour collaboration and protecting others.
as i mentioned earlier, imogen is a harder case to look at because she is still in the process of her story. however, the circlet is clearly influencing how she interacts with the world and in the wake of the solstice, the hostile reaction towards ruidusborn people has started to become more and more apparent and i’m interested to see what route that ends up leading imogen down and how it will influence her relationship with the rest of bell’s hells. (for better, i think, based on recent conversations, but if it's for worse i will be just as seated and excited).
all of this is just to say, please stop assuming that claiming a character has a trait you think is a bad one is criticism or a hate post. in light of the fact that i know that people who don’t believe this will continue to not believe this, i’ll encourage anyone confused about the ability of a character to be good and kind and selfish all at once to look to what the text itself says, specifically scanlan’s words to pelor when asked what vex means to him:
“Her name is Vex, and she is greedy and mean sometimes, and she can steal a lot. She’s a little bit not the greatest person, but her flaws highlight everything that is right about her, which is she does all these things to protect her friends and her family. She would give her life for any of us and for anyone who was truly in need. And she’s not perfect but she’s the most perfect of all of us.”
would you look at that... an ability to be a multitude of things, some in conflict with one another. i know that's hard for fandoms to believe, especially about female characters with agency, but i promise its true!

Something horrifying occurred to me today. If my father was a fictional character, people would think of him in a similar way people see Jonathan Sims, Head Archivist of the Magnus Institute. Here's why:
He has had So Much Shit happen to him. Like Jesus Christ. Like string of unfortunate deaths kind of shit. Like how is this man still functional kind of shit.
He's also had such an interesting childhood and life he's such a wildcard like my dad randomly telling us how he smuggled some guys over the border when he was like 19 is giving the same vibes as Jonathan Sims saying he knows what a meme is
That's not to say he's a huge badass or anything (he is but for the sake of this comparison) he was terrified out of his mind the whole time and did it cause he was feeling homesick and was like I know how these guys feel so I'm gonna help. Giving trademark Jonathan "gonna do it but gonna do it shaking like a wet dog" Sims
He's a skinny brown guy who's kinda quiet, supremely awkward and makes dorky jokes
I asked him if he would still love me if I were a worm and he deadass said only if you went to worm Cambridge. Tell me that's not a Jonathan Sims thing to say.
He's probably autistic (he won't talk to you unless you mention something specific and then you can't stop him talking about the geopolitical situation of Bangladesh)
He's so emotionally constipated. My dude has never heard of emotions ever. He once gave me the advice that the way to deal with negative emotions about our shitty situation is to just compare it to poor peoples' lives in Bangladesh and thank god we don't have it that bad. I think he's allergic to therapy.
He's always in some sort of pain. God hates him personally.
He's the most anxious man I've ever met in my life. I think he lies awake at night just planning how he's gonna get through the next day. Like all he does is overthink and eat his own curated mixed nuts snack
He indulges in a funny cat video once or twice
He hates dogs (growing up in Bangladesh will do that to you but also he's not good with the barking)
Saying that, has bonded with one crusty white dog, who he immediately picked up although i don't think he meant to do that, so we get a situation of quite a tall man holding a small dog but both of them looking Absolutely Terrified.
He's such a baby fiend. I've never seen someone so hell bent on being a grandfather. We went to a family party with him once and not even 5 minutes in, we found him holding a baby. I'm taking @lonelyslutavatar 's baby fever Jon as canon btw.
He's constantly in business casual. He'll be in bed wearing slacks. It's not cause he's fashionable but in fact only because those are pretty much the same clothes he's owned since 2005 and the only clothes he owns.
Nobody is quite sure what he does for a living. Like sure we know his job title (I had to look it up on LinkedIn) but his day to day activities? A mystery. Who actually knows what being a Head Archivist entails? Not me.
I rest my case. For now.

To be upfront, I like both ships.
Season 4 had a lot of bad takes when it came to romance, from Brooklyn thinking Kenji’s tantrum towards Darius was “kind of adorable” to Yaz telling Sammy that she was the only reason that had any feelings at all.
I also hate how the ships started from a lack of basic respect of personal boundaries on Sammy and Kenji’s end. Like when Yaz told Sammy she wasn’t really a hugger and Sammy told her that she was now. (We can see that Yaz actually appreciates the hug but Sammy can’t.) and when Kenji continued to flirt with Brooklyn after she repeatedly turned him down and was visibly annoyed with him doing it.
Like sure, it all worked out for all of them, they became close friends getting together, and the relationships are healthy, but those takes and starting points still irk me. Especially since this is a kids show.
I have many thoughts about this. You're right about Kenji, he flirts with Brooklynn and Yaz a lot in s1 and is generally a jerk. And the show acknowledges that to an extent, it's played for laughs and then he gets Character Development™️ so the show sort of lumps all his past asshat behaviours together and writes them off in one go, so we're expected to forget about the persistent flirting? Made more annoying by the fact that he does "get the girl" in the end anyway. Yeah it's after he's mellowed out and he's more sincere by then, but still. It's worth pointing out that it feels a bit icky.
Sammy is an interesting case because the show never acknowledges her boundary pushing with Yaz as something that's bad. In fact it's seen more as a good thing because it "pays off" and even Yaz is grateful for it in hindsight. I do hate how Yaz's development is credited all to Sammy. Feels like an unhealthy over reliance on a single friendship turned relationship, which yeah can happen irl but an episode exploring that would've been great. Let Yaz realise she needs more than one solid relationship (platonic included) to be truly emotionally fulfilled.
Fact is they're all teens with shitty teen behaviours made worse by a shitty survival situation. And that's cool, if the show was intended for a slightly older audience then maybe they could've delved way more into that. They can do shitty things and get called out on it and grow from it. But because the target is much younger kids then it's all just brushed off or treated as not so serious.
If they did go for a more mature and realistic representation of teen dynamics then we probably would've got more love triangles and break ups and relationship drama and idk I'd rather just have more dinosaurs
TLDR: you're not wrong

My Roman Empire is knowing how well Haein and Juhee would get along in general due to their shared experiences and the way they both are so eager to find a comfortable place in which hunters and magic beasts don't plague their thoughts 24/7 but everyone in the wiki and reddit(mostly wiki) pin them AGAINST each other for a GUY.
Braincells dead Jinwoo has two hands and both shall be for hitting those dumbasses on wiki cuz like seriously?! Seriously!?
"Oh Haein only likes S rank Jinwoo not E rank jinwoo!"
Because she never saw him! Why do you need to blame HER for something she literally couldn't control! In fact even if she had seen him as an E rank she wouldn't detest him at all! Why? Because it was stablished on. Her. Own. Presentation. That Haein took time off her OWN schedule to look after the miners and the pick up team so that no one would get hurt during their work. She CARES for the lower RANKS. E, D, C, B, A she puts herself up front in any case of danger, even went out of her way to inspect a suspicious looking person because it could threaten her own guild mates!
"Oh Juhee always took pity on Jinwoo she never really loved him. And she even said she didn't like to constantly heal him."
You oblivious clown SHE had asked HIM for a date, waited for him to heal, still went on raids despite her trauma to. Ask. About. Jinwoo. And. Meet. Him. I swear everything this is brought up it puts me in a coma because how?? Do?? You miss?? that??? It was all in the first cour of the story! Only on the LN? Even so she still waited for Jinwoo all this time to give him back the crystal and let HIM choose when they would have their date by coming to visit Busan.
It wasn't Juhee's decision to leave that made it impossible for their relationship to grow again, it was Jinwoo who decided to cut it off and never go see her again.
Also really? You want me to believe Juhee was pitifully healing this man at every point, taking care of him for more than a year, and even asking him on a date out of pity? Year of pity? Does every good action someone does for a long time suddenly became pity because Juhee scolded him for going on SUICIDE MISSIONS EVERY DAMNS TIME. Everyone told him it was a bad idea! And yet no one has sticking with him for so long as Juhee did! You know what's actual pity? What Kim Sangshik did towards Jinwoo, what the rest thought about Jinwoo, how the hunters sighed everytime they saw him because they knew he was weak as a stick.
Juhee stood up for him, healed him, Jinwoo even had a chance to confide in her but his own insecurities of weakness where eating him up and he never NEVER got the chance to say why he is going to raiding. And you know what happened after? Yes kartenon temple— But Juhee STILL stayed with him, healed him to the brink of exhaustion, trusted in him, confided in him, asked to even go on a freaking date beforehand. That's. Not. Fuking. Pity. That's. Sincere. Love.
"Oh but Haein wouldn't be attracted to him because of his smell!"
I will agree it's shitty they gave her such an interesting power just to be used like that. But she didn't instantly fall in love there. She fell FELL in love when she was saved. Being in the grip of fear every day and hoping you survive each time, only for you to think it's the day you die yet survive thanks to someone who you know is kind because he saved your guildmates before —yeah, that will do things to your brain I get it. It's even studied to some extent how people tend to fall in love with those that save them. And Jinwoo reciprocated that, shared those feelings of fear she had of being in the battlefield constantly and wishing a peaceful life instead, they hit it off and that's it. Stop bringing up the idea of 'Oh it was just his smell'that made the romance possible. Heck post rewind she actually gets interested in him due to her memories (and fuking magic I mean who wouldn't want to know wtf was that magic after seeing it irl) instead of his smell.
"Haein is Canon anyways Juhee would never be compatible."
You are like the catholic church but worse, a coward of feebleness and take Canon as perfect despite complaining of the ending get outta here.
"But Juhee/Haein have more chemistry with Jinwoo than the other!"
Stop lying to yourself, Jinho has more chemistry with Jinwoo than both of them combined.

Yandere Papa Inuyasha ( fit some: kagome)  x child reader
Tumblr media
Name: Inuyasha
Type: parental yandere, platonic yandere, delusional yandere, obsessive yandere, protective yandere, and most of all  a massive POSSESSIVE YANDERE
Nickname: runt, kid, little one, pup, sweetie, etc
The reason is that pretty much his whole life he’s had nothing but the clothes he wears and the memories of his late mother.  People have treated him shitty due to him not really fitting in being a half-demon. When your mother gave birth to you his whole world changed. ( this is if he married someone other than kagome, if he didn’t he is very much yandere for her as well a very disturbing amount.) Most likely if kagome is your mother she will be yandere for you as well but not as much as your father, as she was raised in a loving family and does believe in freedom.
Inuyasha on the other hand wasn’t raised in this environment he was raised in a dangerous environment by himself. It does not matter the gender he will be equally dangerous on both ends. His way of showing it may differ though, for example, if you are male he’s showing away the thirsty girls from as young as 5 years old. He’s having you learn how to fight as soon as possible and he will continue to the end of time, perfecting your skills as much as he will be allowed. You will be spoiled, but he will be strict.
You have a curfew even when you're an adult, since demons age differently you are still a pup even if you are 20. Thus Inuyasha wants to avoid what he went through, acting like an adult when he’s not. If you are female he’s raising you like kagome was raised which makes many eyebrows rise, but he brainwashes you from the age of 2 that all men are pigs until proven otherwise and women are the same way, just in case your team is home. This goes for a male kid as well, however, he will not be able to find a way to convince you of this until your 5, and actually have an incident.
Either way, you grow up believing only family and close friends are good people and stay close to daddy and mommy. Kagome feels Inuyasha is wrong for being so brash with his words, though she doesn’t mind you won’t be leaving her anytime soon, she does want you to find love and give her grandkids as does Inuyasha. Which is impossible if both of them block any potential suitor. Most likely you're getting hooked up with a friend of their’s kid for marriage.
His other qualities don’t come out to you unless you have been away from him for a while, you didn’t think it was odd families took baths together. Even when you're 16 years old. It’s normal for demons so he isn’t being creepy, as demons age differently, however, he won’t stop just cause it embarrassed you. What if you slip? What if a yokai known for the water appears? How will you fight in a bathrobe? He’s a hypocrite because he wants you to be safe but thinks not teaching you those kinds of things is fine as long as you live with him.
The kid you marry ain’t sleeping with you unless one of them or both of your parents are sleeping there too, so good luck getting kids on the way. Inuyasha is so obsessive he or kagome dresses you, feeds you, and combs your hair, let alone helps you bathe. Your spouse finds it odd but you’ve hardly been away to understand this level of crazy ain’t normal. However, if the wifey or hubby gets too complaining daddy is there to send them to where spouses of yours have gone before and you think that it’s a long vacation and job. ( their dead, he killed them and you will never know not even when you die.) You're basically sending your lovers to their doom so much so people think your evil, and eat them after you grow bored.
They talk shit though and they're gone too so everyone keeps up the friendly facade if they happen to see you. If they want to live that is. Kagome will get sad if daddy keeps killing ones that would be a good carriers of your children. He promises that if it comes down to it. He gets you’re uncle to do a demon thing and get you pregnant without the need for a mate ( baby ritual). That or have you birth a baby one day and be a parent yourself, not that you would be any better than daddy.
After all,  father like son, and mother like  daughter.
You and your children are doomed to become what others already know and you and them will never be the wiser, but it doesn’t matter, after all. Why wouldn’t you want to be just like mommy and daddy?

I always thought Stupid Cupid would be on the same level as Red Velvet in terms of popularity! In your opinion which real group would you assign for your fic groups in those terms?
AINE ! ⠀ › ⠀ SAYS. omg you're being too nice anon!! i think red velvet is wayyy up the scale when looking at stupid cupid's popularity– took me a hot second to cook something up, but under the cut, you'll find all of my important groups / ocs ( including both npc & under co. groups! ) and their popularity based on irl kpop groups!
first, we have lilypad, aka the saviours of glasshouse! i'd definitely say that they're on par with kara! they've been releasing bops from the getgo, and have been doing so until their unfortunate ( or fortunate in this case ) disbandment, so kara would be the best group to mention in this case, especially when back in 2009, glasshouse only had crumbs and a handful of trainees to go with.

next on the list is raevil, aka the dead women walking! raevil = twice, and you can't prove me wrong!! the fact that each member comes from a different country just goes well with the public ( international more than domestic, bc we all know how knetz are about these types of things ), and they for sure know how to charm people to at least listen to their songs occasionally. their popularity grew as time passed, so raevil being on the same scale as twice right now would be a plausible answer!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
sorry to disappoint you, anon, but stupid cupid's popularity goes lower than red velvet's– i'd say ive or kepler would be more of an appropriate answer, especially because everyone can clearly see the favouritism in stcp ( looking at tomie ). it's a good thing that their discography is full of mostly cute songs, otherwise, i don't think stupid cupid would've been supported this much if it their concept was anything else... i imagine them being compared to lilypad a lot if they had a different concept, and they'd kind of flop. yeah, their fandom is definitely smaller compared to raevil's, but they have some crazy ass fans out there ( think orbits during that twitter era )–
Tumblr media Tumblr media
at the beginning of their career, i surely saw paradox invasion go hand in hand with stray kids based on popularity, especially because prdx had a different concept from any other artists from the company, were their first bg and they were promoted a lot during their pre-debut era by stupid cupid. however, after the whole scandal happened with one of the members and they went on a hiatus for a year, the hype kind of died down, so now i'd say they're kinda like monsta x / the boyz!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
hero is 4th generation's taemin! of course, his popularity slowly grew as he went through a shitty survival show, but once he actually debuted as a soloist, the fandom significantly grew, and it's still growing as time goes by. there's a reason why he's called an all-round and ace of kpop! although, if you asked him, he'd deny being that popular, but the receipts don't lie, nor do his album sales that get sold out after every comeback!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and last but definitely not least, we have crystyle! && just like everyone expected, i imagine them to have the same popularity as got the beat! they also have some similarities; as they're both project groups with members from different groups ( or are soloists ), so saying they have the same popularity as got would be true. not only that, but each member has their own fandom that just combined in the end to support the girls as a group!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and that's it ( for now )! come back later if there are any updates to this~

I liked AINI a lot, but the game would be seriously improved if they just made Ryuki the protagonist, because he's the one that has a story arc, and a meaningful tie to the case, and meanwhile it's very clear that both Mizukis exist not to have character arcs but for the sake of the timeline twist. More under the cut.
Part One: The Mizuki Problem
Date Mizuki doesn't have a character arc, which is a shame, because she's a rightly beloved character from the first game, and with the way her story ended there, they could have done so much more with her in the lead role. You don't even have to change any of the plot points of AINI for this, bar the meta ones. You could keep her as a genetic experiment and clone, dealing with the revelation that her shitty parents actually adopted her, while struggling because once again her father (Date) was ripped away from her. She'll even learn she has a sister, who watched over her and tried to protect her, but in doing so left her alone. That's a lot of meaty stuff! It's a lot to wrestle with, to make peace with. To grow up as a girl who had to raise herself, and the loneliness that entails, the longing for a different childhood, imagining what could have been. She'd be an excellent counterpart to Amame, who also went down her violent path out of love for her family, and is now just as paralyzed by regret. It's all right there!!
But they can't explore any of that. They rush past her feelings about all of those things, bringing them up for a scene, and then resolve them in a later scene with no in between. They do this for three key reasons, two of which I'll talk about here. The first is that half of her screen time is not actually her, it is Bibi. So they nixed half the time to explore it. Oops. But the more offensive problem, at least in my eyes, is the no spoilers policy that informed the writing. This game has a spoiler toggle, and that means the game has to be completely understandable to a hypothetical player without relying on any knowledge from the first game. Any references to the first game have to be short enough they can be excised without audiences feeling like they missed something important. So if her character arc is based on her trauma, trauma that was a key thing to explore in the first game, and how that trauma informs how she responds the revelations/events of this game—well, then anyone who is playing without spoilers for the first game would be barred from her half of the story. So we get one scene where she brings up her complicated feelings about this, where all the dialogue related to the first game can be easily cut, and then a follow up where she expresses she's fine with all this actually, and that's all she's allowed to have. I can't imagine the version of the game as it is with no spoilers, where the only thing she contends with is being a clone. How weak; how insubstantial.
Kuranushi Mizuki is first and foremost a plot device. I am not saying this because I hate her (I do not); it is just objective fact. In order for the writers to deceive us about what events happen in the past and what happens in the future, there needs to be a Mizuki identical to the one in the present six years in the past. Enter Bibi. Because of this, Bibi does not have a character arc. She can't, because she has to pass as Date Mizuki. This is the third reason that they can't give Date Mizuki a character arc: both Mizukis have to be indistinct from each other so as not to give the game up before they want to reveal the real flow chart. If they were to really get into the meat of either of their traumas, then it would cause greater suspicion in the players before the writers are ready to show their hands.
And that's unfortunate. Kuranushi Mizuki could easily be a great secondary character that could enhance Mizuki's story, in the same way our Mizuki was to Date. She's her sister, her progenitor, and everything she does is out of a desire to protect her, even her misguided choices. Their reunion, and rebuilding of a sisterly bond after they both overcome the ways their various traumatic upbringings affected them could be extremely emotional, and a worthwhile read. But they can't do any of that. Because "Mizuki" as a protagonist exists to serve the meta plot twist about the timeline, and distinct character journeys would undermine that. Because any arc that the Mizukis would undergo together would have to discuss the things that happened to our Mizuki in the first game, and they can't do that, because the game has to be a comprehensible entry point for new players.
Part Two: Ryuki's Half Slaps!
You know who doesn't have these problems? Ryuki. Ryuki Kuruto was introduced in this game, which means there is no prior context that's locked off from new players entering the series. All of Ryuki's screen-time is actually just his own, because he's an adult so they don't need to invent another identical looking character to explain why he still looks the same in both time periods. Now, he still risks having two character arcs that conflict with each other, if the Ryuki of 6 years ago has different priorities and needs compared to his present self, however the game resolves this one just fine.
Ryuki is wracked by trauma, no matter what half of the timeline he's in. The thing that he needs most is to make peace with his mistakes and trauma. His brother's tragic death and his resulting warped sense of justice, his failings during the initial HB investigation being informed by the trauma of his brother's death that happened around that time and with identical results, how that lead to Tearer manipulating and using him, and his endless guilt over that betrayal. At any point in his story, he's spiralling, just for different reasons, and you can blur the details on that just enough so every scene moves seamlessly from one to the next. The detail blurring even justifies itself because of TC-PERGE and his other mental illnesses have fucked with his perception of time and the world around him. Ryuki's side just works. He's a character with a story that's designed to work with the structure they want to have.
And you can tell it works, that Ryuki as a protagonist truly hits because I don't think a single person has played this game who came away hating him. So many people love Ryuki. It's so easy to love Ryuki, because things are happening with him, not just to him. He gets worse, he gets so much worse the more time we spend with him, and we want him to get better because when he seems to be doing alright, he's a likeable guy! He's a dork!! He's awkward!! He has his silly little hero worship gay crush on Date!! We don't want him to suffer, to go through the things he does, we want him to get better and find peace. As someone stuck on his past decisions wrestling with endless regrets, he's another foil to Amame. Someone who makes choices and wonders what it would have been like if he could undo them (hello diverge route). He's just a well-written protagonist!!
Part Three: Split Protagonists? Split Story. False Timeline? Cancelled Story.
There's only one problem: he has to share the game with two Mizukis, who have nothing going on internally, and much of what they have going on externally has very little to do with him. Bibi hates him for what he did to her under Tearer's influence, which should be very relevant and add to his story, but the structure impedes that somewhat. 18-year-old Bibi sees Ryuki just as a coworker until he shoots her. She can't value him as a friend, or have any feelings stronger than 'he's a guy she works with sometimes' because Mizuki doesn't really know him or have a relationship with him, and that would be a contradiction that gives the game up. (I mean, they could just give our Mizuki reasons care a lot about him too, but they chose not to try). Then she hates him, because he shot her and made her condition worse, a betrayal that would hurt more if I felt like they had a meaningful bond, but they don't have one. Still, there is some weight there, so I'll give them that. We mostly see this enmity from her when she's the masked woman, so...when we don't know it's her, or why she hates him, because it's a plot twist. Good replay value. But she gets over it pretty fast at the end. Still, I'll forgive all this, because it is the only thing either Mizuki has going on that really has to do with him.
Our Mizuki does not seem to care at all about her eye; she likes having Aiba, which is the opposite of a conflict. She doesn't know Ryuki betrayed them either, and she doesn't have a relationship with him, so she does a lot of investigating into the half body serial killings which she cares about for....some reason. I guess because she was there? I would say it's because of what happened to Date during explosion end, how it ripped her family apart again, but I already talked about how they can't and won't get into that, so she cares for like no reason at all. She similarly treats what happened to Kizuna as just kind of this tragic accident, but it's not what motivates her. Nothing motivates her. She investigates a bunch of stuff, and sometimes she sees Ryuki, but she doesn't have any motivations related to him, so every minute he spends off screen while she's at the helm has adds nothing to his story, for the sake of a character they refuse to give one.
I lied earlier when I said Bibi has nothing going on. Unlike her sister she has motives, and because she was a character introduced in this game she can have a character arc related to those motives because it won't spoil the first one. There's still the damning problem regarding the fact that she categorically can't be her own character in any of the scenes we play as her, but she has a motive. The hitch is her impetus has nothing to do with the HB incident, which is the thing most affecting Ryuki. She's investigating the Horadori Institute's genetic experiments on children, because that's why Horadori abused her and her sister. The things she learns about Tearer happen while trying to do something else. Horadori and Shigure didn't abduct Uru to genetically modify him; he was just a organ donor for their son. He experienced abuses, but they aren't the abuses she underwent, so they're not the focus of her investigation. The stuff that happened to Gen and Shouma is of more importance to her, because it's the same as what happened to her. Narratively, this is why Gen and Shouma are genetic experiments. They further her investigation, and add to her story. Or at least they would, if she didn't have to pass for Mizuki all the time when you play as her. We don't get to truly explore how she feels about there being other victims she could not protect, who contend with their traumas just like she does. We don't really see her make peace with all that happened, or decide to let go and move on—it just is why she's doing the things she does, while looking suspicious in a mask. Another potential character arc wasted by meta component.
Why are the strings that tie our three protagonists together so thin? To be clear, both Mizukis are extremely tied together, for obvious reasons. But their ties to Ryuki are weak. Bibi was betrayed by him and knows it, so she doesn't trust him, and wants Mizuki to stay away from him because of it, but Mizuki doesn't have a lot of strong opinions about him. He was just a guy she met while he was investigating, and he was there when she lost her eye (and dad), and now he's doing worse. He's very fucked up about what he's done to everyone, including them, because of the HB case, but one Mizuki isn't motivated by the HB case, and the other Mizuki just isn't motivated by anything. Their side adds to Ryuki's story when he's present in the scenes, but when he's gone, so is his storyline. I loved when Date talked Ryuki out of his downward spiral, and I loved his big damn heroes moment, and his sacrifice and forgiveness, and seeing him alive and well at the end. But I wish I could have seen him react to Amame's second somnium. I wish I could have seen him more in the investigations. I wish that when he was offscreen, the things that happened still reflected him in some way, just like how I wish that both Mizukis were allowed to have character arcs on full display throughout the entire game.
There is one protagonist who is affected by the plot of the game, who has ties to the other leads, and undergoes a journey in his half, but is out of focus in the back half in favor of the other two leads, but the other two protagonists are blocked from having anything, because of the restrictions imposed by meta and production elements of the game.
Part Four: So can it be fixed?
Well sure it can. The beautiful thing about fiction is there are any number of ways to solve a writing problem. The first is fuck the no spoilers policy straight to hell, even ignoring everything I just talked about, it affects the game in a bunch of smaller, annoying ways, and kinda steps on Date's story in the last game by not letting him exist in his actual body. You can take any approach you want after that knowing that whatever you do with returning characters it will acknowledge and further what came before.
After that though, there's a lot of options. You don't even have to throw the meta fuckshit to hell! I sorta opened this whole analysis with one, but I'm gonna list a few, and what kind of things they might entail, in order of the amount of work it involves:
Make Ryuki the sole protagonist. Have every part of the investigation be his own from his eyes. You can keep the timeline twist, it would still work for the reasons I said it worked in his half earlier. He's the one with the motivations, he's the one most directly affected by the HB case, and I'm fairly certain the game was initially structured with him as the sole protagonist in mind until they made some changes to account for Mizuki's popularity. It's also the easiest to do because a lot of the material for it is just already there, you just have to expand it. Mizuki and Bibi can both exist and work to serve the time fuckshit in the same way they do in canon, and he can still by what happened to them, and even investigate the stuff more personal to Bibi. Maybe he does that in part because he thinks he owes it to her, in the same way he thinks solving the HB case is what he owes to everyone. It's easy, it's strong, you can give our Mizuki emotional beats where she reacts to those reveals and struggles with her trauma, etc, but she does it as a prominent secondary character like she did in the first game, but hey she gets to do something!! She and Bibi can even afford to be more distinct from each other, more expressive of their differing motivations and needs, but their presence can blur together because Ryuki's sense of reality is fucked up. I'll admit this one is also my favorite, but can you blame me? It has everything in the base game in its best form, with the character it was designed for at the center, and it improves on all the weaker shit.
Move the Timeline Later: As in, set the events of the game in 2026, so everyone is old enough to be an adult. This one you cut Bibi. Mizuki gets to be Mizuki the entire time you play as her, and because we told the no spoiler policy to go to hell, she can have character arcs!! and motivations!!! Of course, you don't get the Bibi related stuff, but there's still plenty there. The other major change you'd have to make though is give her and Ryuki a more significant relationship. You can keep the time fuckshit, cause she'll just look the same in the past and present like basically everyone else (a detail other people nitpick but I don't give a shit about because it's just anime logic who cares). This one is roughly the same amount of work as the first one, because again the base is there, you just need to add a character story to Mizuki, and better tie to Ryuki's, which is done by changing their relationship.
Sole Protag Ryuki, no returning characters: This is the same as the other one, but you don't have to worry about old characters. In many ways this might be seem easier than the first one, cause your cast is smaller, but if you keep Bibi (because she's a new character), you need to rework her and all of her relationships. Even if you just graft her relationship she had with Mizuki onto someone who already exists in the game and don't invent another OC—you see where the extra work comes in. Again, you could cut her entirely, but I think the story is weaker as a whole if there is no character who exemplifies Ryuki's guilt and self hatred, and that's Bibi, who hates him for his betrayal. So...I'd keep her, even if it's more work, especially since he's your sole protagonist.
Sole Protagonist Mizuki: This one is for the people who want Mizuki to be the protagonist of her own game by herself, because it has very little to do most of the plot of nirvana initiative. Thus, it'ss objectively the most work. This one is gonna play more like the first game, set several years down the line, and it expands on Mizuki's story from the first game in her history as a child of abuse and neglect, and the stress of recently losing her dad again. The investigation is a serial killing incident, but the serial killing is directly tied to Horadori's genetic experiments, like say all the victims are people at his lab guilty of abusing people. There's no time fuckshit, there is no meta element, it's not the HB case, and all the characters stuff related to the HB side of things will have to be reworked so they're about the new case and/or the experiments instead. So like....Somezuki Uru wants revenge for the experiments done to him, that ruined his life, for example. Bibi still exists in a prominent secondary role, she can even be the masked woman for the first part of it until her reveal, which further's Mizuki's story, and because explosion end won't happen, Date will have to disappear for other reasons related to this case (like he got too close and the killer, Uru, abducted him to get rid of the threat), especially if you want that to motivate Mizuki. You might have to cut Ryuki for this story though, unless you rebuild his entire character so every last bit of his trauma connects to this new case you're inventing wholecloth, but I mean if this is the fix you're invested in, you're already doing so much work, so you might as well.
Conclusion: Man....
It's a shame the game was fucked from the start because of the dumbass no spoiler policy. You can make everything else work except that. The real enemy is studio execs who think marketing to the nonexistent demo of "people who play sequels without playing earlier entries" is a good idea.
Thank you for your time if you read this. This was way longer than I thought it would be.

I think there is very little nuance surrounding Jotaro as a father. The fans either like to characterize him as a shitty father who cared about Koichi more (i will take this claim with a grain of salt because it’s usually memes or it’s made by people who sped read to part seven) or as an amazing father who cared immensely for his daughter. I am here to tell you that he is neither. I’m to address both those claims and try to explain why they’re flawed.
1. Jotaro is a bad father who fucked off to look at starfish or something
Now, I don’t exactly know the reason why Jotaro decided to get married and have a kid, but I can try to explain why he left them. I don’t think he left because he didn’t care about Jolyne and Ms. Kujo, but the complete opposite of that. After Stardust Crusaders, Jotaro began to believe that leaving people was a legitimate love language. After all, he left his mother to save her from the stand flu (and DIO), and his own father left to provide for the family. So, Jotaro learned from experience and example that if you loved someone, you had to be willing to leave them.
Also, the events of part three greatly traumatized Jotaro. Everyone needs to remember that he lost Kakyoin, Avdol, Iggy, and his grandpa for a few minutes because of enemy stand users. On top of that, he put a massive target on his back for killing DIO, and as we all have seen, he still has a lot of followers. If any of these followers caught wind that the great Jotaro Kujo had weaknesses a wife and young daughter, imagine all the horrible things that would befall on Jolyne and her mother. In fact, the events of Stone Ocean happen because someone found out that Jotaro had a kid. Anyways, the man was so afraid of losing his family to enemy stand users, that he had to be distant from them in order to draw said stand users away from them. As a result, he wrecked the relationships he had with his family. For people who read through SO and its entirety (while paying attention), this is fact.
Could there have been better communication between Jotaro and his family? Absolutely, but this is Jotaro Kujo we’re talking about. The same guy who thinks that everyone can read his facial expressions properly. What I want everyone to take away from this is that he left because he wanted to provide his family with an opportunity to live a life free of stand bullshit and the Joestar curse. He did his job so well that we the “omnipotent” readers only found out of Jolyne’s existence at the same time everyone else in the story did**. The only reason why we know about Jolyne’s connection to Jotaro before getting into SO is largely because of the internet.
*Now what about Jolyne being in jail and him not helping? Jotaro was a delinquent growing up!! Also, almost all members of the Joestar family have gone to jail at least once, so man’s probably thought that was a normal occurrence.
2. Jotaro is a good dad because he cares about Jolyne
I wholeheartedly agree on the second part of that sentence. There are several moments at this point in the anime and several more in the manga where Jotaro shows how much he cares about his daughter. He was willing to sacrifice many things to ensure the safety of his child. Now, is he a good father because of this? Debatable. All the love Jotaro has for his kid can’t negate the fact that he left her for many years. Hell, it’s explicitly stated that he missed several critical moments of his daughter’s life, like the time Jolyne was dying of a fever, and wasn’t there because of Morioh business. People who care a lot about children in their lives do not automatically make good parents
But despite his failure as a father, he’s trying his hardest to mend his relationship with Jolyne, and if it hadn’t been for DIO, and Pucci, and all the evil stand users in the world that were out to get him, they would’ve been a great dad. Unfortunately, that is not the case here. A lot more than just love and care is needed to be a parent. You need to put in the work, and for the most part, he didn’t.
TLDR: Jotaro Kujo is a loving father, but at the end of the day, he’s still an absent parent.

i dont think rhett likes link as a person that much. the way link has been joking about how "rhett doesnt have emotions" i think reveals more about the nature of their relationship at this point. link has been pushing a lot while rhett doesnt have much to give other than what he know he "supposed" to give. dont get me wrong i think there is affection of some kind between them and the history isnt something you can just set aside and the promise of a duo is still attractive but... imo one of the reasons why link is adamant at annoying/furstrating rhett is that its one of the only clear show of emotions he can make rhett feel for him at this point. its a little in link's head sure but i do believe rhett is slowly realizing some stuff and i dont think its those "gay" feelings that people like to talk about here. i realize im reading into a lot of things but i cant help but feel this push and pull and all these prying i love you's out of rhetts mouth lately speaks to an insecurity that is a little exagerated on links side but also not entirely unfounded. i think you can still have a certain amounth of love for a person in your hearth -whether the idea of them or the history of them or an affection that lingers etc. but slowly realize you dont like the way that they are/present themselves anymore.-its hard to find interests that you both actually enjoy/share that isnt also your job(lol), intelectually engaging conversations are sparse and inequal and sometimes more frustrating than informing etc. which is a very difficult thing to handle on both sides. doesnt have to mean its an end but its just would be a lot of difficult shifts that should be taken seriously and not for granted in the name of promises. idk. this is a little strech and i normaly i dont like to do this but i cant help but feel that. ''i think im supposed to like this'' https://pbs.twimg.com/media/F8TknG0WYAAUOur?format=jpg&name=medium from rhetts new ep could be about this in parts. maybe
Tumblr media
I get what you are saying. It is a thought I used to have occasionally; that Rhett doesn’t seem to love Link as genuinely or that he is getting done with him. Most of the time, something happened that made me feel proven wrong.
The thing about them fighting was also significantly dramatised in the interview - not because it might not have been dramatic at the time it happened but because the interviewers clearly and humorously wanted to play it up. I personally felt uncomfortable with the mildly comedic reenactment of Rhett’s apology. I believe this should have stayed between them or that when it was between them it was definitely serious and so it didn't deserve to be a part of this youtube interview. I mean, you know it’s serious enough when Link is staring and not talking and Rhett is tearing up.
We should always keep in mind all the things that are unsaid because there was a lot unsaid in this case. Link had briefly mentioned this recently, the whole sending an email about needing their friendship to be more of an actual friendship thing. He said at both occasions that there was a warning of “I can’t keep doing this if we are not gonna be actual friends”. The thing is, what was his alternative really? To mess it all up and work solo? As a YouTuber? As an engineer? As a what? This was a huge risk. Link also said he sent this email with Christy’s blessings. Something doesn’t add up. Christy isn’t crazy about Mythical but that would be a huge and tough change if this email caused a breakdown in their friendship. I wonder whether Christy’s self interests were getting in the way of the advice she would be giving in that case. Because a sensible advice would be for Link to be less absolute about it and secure that their business remained undisturbed no matter what happened to their friendship. Unless, idk, things were THAT shitty that Link 'd rather end his whole super successful career. Besides, it is bad when a friend grows emotionally distant, however when this friend is still physically close and you see him all the time and you have based all your income on him, it is unwise and very dramatic to blow it up because you aren’t as attached to the hip friends as in middle school. Welcome to adulthood, I guess. Therefore this doesn’t add up perfectly in my opinion and I would expect Christy to be more like "grow up and do your job without obsessing over Rhett's friendship" than say "You go girl, blow it all up if you are not the best of the besties again", so I once again conclude there was more that made Link felt so invested in the genuineness of Rhett’s feelings, which caused him to feel heartbroken when their friendship was getting more impersonal. The way Link implored for a big talk, for months or even years I recall, for Rhett to open up about his feelings to him is not typical of 40 year old males being friends but, then again, you could argue much of them and their arrangement isn't typical anyway. I could add to my point that in the past years they have been clearer about the frankly quite strange ways they avoided each other outside work but this would lead the answer into paths you are not interested in.
However, Link did not imply Rhett did not have emotions or emotions towards him in specific. He said Rhett does not verbalize or externalize the actually existing feelings. That's what he usually says, though sometimes it seems he is unsure of the nature / genuineness of Rhett's emotions indeed.
Rhett has fought to improve on this aspect throughout the years. It does not always work but there is effort. Sometimes it affects him quite a bit that Link thinks that. It took him some time to realize it but apparently he gave Link a massive tearful apology in which he explained he thought all along that whatever they did was them living this friendship. I don't know if that's 100% sincere but it seems he cared enough to come clean about it, apologize, improve on himself and listen to Link etc So I still think he loves Link a lot. Besides, remember how crazed and needy Rhett was towards Link during quarantine? Also, aside from that interview, Rhett is more often than not the one to whine for not seeing each other many times in a month or Link not inviting him to this or that, or not caring enough for a shared hobby or not being provisional for him as much as Rhett is for Link's sake. Therefore I think we get this idea because Link is so much more open and dramatic about his needs that makes us inequally exposed to their viewpoints and as a result we feel for Link more. But I think Rhett cares about Link a lot. Sure, he is annoyed at him often because Link can cause that to people lol but I think the good emotions and all the past and all he has with him by far overcome some exasperation that might be there. They do have different love languages, too.
As for the song, thanks for the link, I was looking for the lyrics. Had my eyes nearly drop out of my eyesockets in order to read them XD Well, it's certainly an angry song and [MASSIVE EDIT BECAUSE I MISREAD ONE WORD] it’s almost certainly about people criticising them for abandoning the faith and how it still stings.

Ok whatever. Madara and Izuna's relationship to their father headcanons ⬇️
We have little information on how Tajima is as a parent because he has a grand total of 2 lines but as a Madara enjoyer I need to figure out what his and Izuna’s relationship to their dad is.
There’s the assumption that he just acts like Butsuma because they are supposed to be mirrors of each other which was the assumption I was initially operating under BUT. Some people put a lot of weight on the moment where Tajima asks Madara’s opinion on the assessment of a situation, using that to headcanon him as a Less Bad Dad, so I’ve been thinking on how to work with that alternative.
It goes like:
• I think there had to be some degree of parental violence in the Uchiha household because with their situation? Training kids to fight and kill in wars where they’re incredibly likely to die, where it’s a miracle if they grow up? That’s not likely to not convince the parents that a certain degree of harshness is necessary in raising then. + the Uchiha clan is canonically has incredibly high performance standards, their “average” is another man’s “prodigious”
• Tajima isn’t frequently physically abusive to his kids the way Butsuma is but his own mismanagement of his personal stress regarding the general situation in the WSE still has lead him to hurt his children in ways they haven’t forgiven him for.
• Madara feels those moment very strongly: he hasn’t forgiven the day his own father nearly let his younger brother die in the altercation with Butsuma, Hashirama and Tobirama, and then acted dismissive about it. He hasn’t forgiven a scolding in his childhood from his own father that terrified him worse than any mission ever had.
• And Tajima’s never apologized for any of it, properly. He does deeply regret those moments, but the few times either Madara or Izuna bring up the hurt they feel he’s like “Okay, that happened in your childhood; do I do that anymore?” and so neither of them even try with him anymore.
• He’s more lenient and chill with them as they grow up, and loving, and willing to discuss and listen to his children on equal wavelength, and this dissuades Madara and Izuna from bringing up the topic of “maybe you were shitty while bringing us up and we are still affected by it???” further, but they still feel a little… on edge around him. Like something they do might set him off again. And Tajima wants to think he wouldn’t, and makes the genuine effort not too, but his kids still flinch when he raises his voice.
• Tajima dying in battle and Madara and Izuna witnessing it was what got both of them their mangekyou sharingan
• In the case of Madara’s relationship with his father in particular, it’s… very complicated. He loves him, dearly, and wouldn’t let anything happen to him, but is also frequently frustrated by him, even by insignificant things because of his repressed anger. When Madara’s an older teen/young adult and powerful enough his father feels less like a threat to him they often get into shouting matches and maybe physical altercations
• Izuna and their mother is the one who try to calm them the fuck down whenever this happens. Madara has an easier time speaking with his mother but also resents her for defending their father more than her kids.
• Izuna’s relationship to Tajima is also tense, but he’s less likely to fight and lash out at his father so they get along a little better. Sometimes he even thinks that he’s healed from a lot of what happened when he was younger but then Tajima says Something Bad and then he gets mad all over again. He’s a lot more repressed.

Hello i apologize but I just wanted to get your view on this. This fandom really is stupid and it really doesnt make me want to be part of it anymore. Like? How many times are we going to have to say the same things to proof about defending SNS? Its just not fun anymore. And then there are nh and ss fandoms who are really the most ridiculous of all going at each other which makes being a naruto fan on whatever platform just negative. They can’t even talk normally with each other ONCE. EVER. And then there is the SNS fandom too (this is not against you or anything) are just getting more ridiculous I really hate being in this fandom lately which makes me sad because I love Naruto and SNS and I really enjoy your art and just wanted to thank you for that.
Hmm.. Non.e I feel you, I really do.
And I’m going to get a lot of flak for saying this so please don’t take it personally (or kill me), but this has been on my mind for a while now: why be in this fandom if you in its entirety hate it so much? I don’t get it.
I know, I know. Of course, I understand where you’re coming from when it comes to the “canon couples”. Though when I see those two troops getting ready for battle all huddled up with their weapons in arms, which consists of novel-arguments and groundless interpretations as to why “the other couple/mom sucks more than ours” or “which of the two had more development” when they’re both as shitty and had no development at all- that’s just extra entertainment, no?
“Defending SNS” as you say, (or simply pointing out the only view which makes sense (´▽`ʃƪ)♡) is something we as part of the ‘Naruto’-fandom have been doing for years, that’s nothing new and we’re not forced to do so. If it’s not fun, then definitely I agree with you, don’t do it.
But, that’s the thing.. (gosh don’t hate me) complaining and whining about this fandom, all these “anti-naruto fandom” posts or worse “anti SNS fandom” posts made by people from our very own fandom really are doing a disservice to us and.. even themselves, really (imo).
For example, personally when I create an art post specifically for SNS because I love them, the fandom (our SNS-fandom mainly) and simply because I enjoy doing so, to then immediately see another post from another SNS fan saying how absolutely fucking shit the entire SNS-fandom is for some frivolous reason..
.. it sucks out all the fun.
Not too long ago I had a conversation with an amazing SNS fanfic writer. I love her fics, but for a while there was a lot of SNS fanfic hate…. From our own SNS-fandom. She now is on an indefinite hiatus since these posts were talking about certain tropes that she loved to use, but are apparently now popular to detest publicly.
It is always fine to not like something.. ALWAYS. Not everyone likes the same things, obviously. But everything fan-made, fics, art, edits, amv’s, video’s are shared with you.. for free. And so when you post something negative about it, or worse, make fun of it, there is a fat chance that people jump your wagon and when that happens it can be really discouraging. (Of course constructive criticism is a different thing.)
Yes, shit like that affects creators.
My art, especially my ‘kid’ Sasuke (+ Itachi poke) art is being shared around on the Naruto Fandom Forums (without credit even, lol) as absolute garbage since it “looked too realistic” and they thought it was part of an animation. I honestly wanted to quit after that.
I know looking at ‘Naruto’ as a story we as SNS fans obviously have a different point of view than certain other people and even then there are different views and opinions within those views, but having the people from your own fandom hate the fandom?? I don’t get it guys.. I really don’t.
Those anti-fandom complaint posts, from my understanding have made more people leave the fandom in its negativity than “simply growing out of it”. At least that was the case with the people I personally know. Don’t we already, for years, have enough reddit dudebro’s and irrational "wE'Re cAnoN" preachers to deal with? 😂
Why did you join the fandom? What made you stick around? There are maaaaaaaannnnyyyyyyy others here for the exact same reason, creating something and sharing it with you, talking about the significance of a panel, the absolute crazy batshit things SNS say to each other, writing a long-ass analysis depicting every single thing, story structure studies or even.. the bullshit that is ‘Boruto’..
..wait, now THAT is something we can all collectively bitch about.
You say hating the fandom makes you sad, because you love Naruto and SNS. Why not love Naruto and SNS?
"The Fandom" is just a word to label many individuals that love the same thing and admittedly that can be messy. But non.e, if it is something you enjoy, you can just be you loving whatever you want and it has nothing to do with anyone else. I appreciate you liking my art though ;__; thankyou 🥰

So I am late to the Stranger Things party but having just watched season 1 for a second time I think I have an unpopular opinion.......
Steve is not a jerk or bully or anything other than a typical teenager in season 1. The bad things he does are all reactionary and he does everything he can to make up for it after. Teenagers are not known for their forethought so a teenager getting mad or upset and doing something shitty and realizing later "oh shit I shouldn't have done that" is kinda how teenagers are.
* Breaking Jonathan's camera.
I actually have no issue with him doing this. It's 100% justified. Those pictures were creepy and gross and a crime. He not only took them he developed them at school where at least one other person saw them to even tell Steve about them. These could have easily been taken, copied and passed around. So taking them was bad, developing them worse, but doing at school was just awful and stupid. Even still Steve felt bad and bought him a new camera, which as I have no issue with breaking the camera is, well, whatever, it's nice but he didn't have to in my opinion.
Now these next two I'm not going to defend so much as understand a teenage mind set and point out his actions after.
They kinda go together. So spray painting the sign and the fight with Jonathan. He was wrong in both cases . Totally and completely wrong. He humiliated and slut shamed Nancy in a very public way and he said terrible things about Jonathan's mom and 'dead' brother and used a slur. This is however where I point out a teenage mindset. Steve thinks based on what he saw Nancy is cheating with Jonathan. Which would suck bad enough for anyone but given we were told earlier his mom can't trust his dad to not cheat it is probably an especially touchy spot for Steve. He's angry and hurting and he lashes out. He was wrong, there's no justification for that and I am not justifying just saying that teenagers act first and think later and a hurt teenager is especially irrational. I don't think either thing is indicative of his normal behavior.
Where I think we go back to Steve is a good guy is that he realizes that on his own. No one tells him he was wrong, if anything the people around him at that moment are encouraging this behavior. He then goes and cleans off the sign himself. The next thing he does is go to apologize to Jonathan, not Nancy but Jonathan. That is important because he's not doing it to try to save his relationship or whatever. He goes to Jonathan because he feels bad.
The other time he is kind of jerky is when Nancy tells him she went to the police about Barb. Again not his best moment his first reaction is scared to get in trouble. This again is pretty typical teenage behavior. He doesn't know Barb and is quite frankly more concerned about himself than her. He sucks but I want you to really think about how much thought you gave to the kids you went to highschool with who were not your friends and then get back to me on whether or not you would ask someone to at least not mention the underage drinking. The honest people are going to admit that Steve's request to not mention the beer to cops is probably something they would have asked as well.
All teenagers act impulsively. That's the whole reason most of these story lines happen is because the teenagers/kids do things without consulting adults. Steve is just the only one whose actions as a teenager keep getting brought up and used against him. I mean when was the last time anyone even brought up Jonathan's creepy photos?
Everyone keeps saying Steve has had so much character growth and I would agree but unlike everyone else who says he is becoming a better person I think he is just growing up. He is maturing. He's always been a decent person but he was an impulsive (probably lonely) teenager and now he is becoming an adult.

‘His one and only love’ i’m going to go cry in a corner now thanks. their love story is so beautiful yet so tragic and it’s breaking my heaaaaaart. or could it be bc it ended in tragedy which is why we can appreciate the beauty of it more?? idk i’m babbling but i just, Cassie & Percy’s relationship has been looming over us since chapter 1 and it’s like, the more we know about it the more beautiful they seemed to be together and how in love they truly were before tragedy struck and it’s just, so heartbreaking bc they’re ending is so so definite bc Cassie is no longer in the picture anymore and just. ugh…..Pain™️
‘Probably Lavinia.’yeah bc your daughter who has never met your sister or interacted with her until this wedding……sure, she definitely got her restlessness from her aunt sksksks. i feel like Percy was restless when he was younger, but just…had to “grow up” bc of his shitty parents or was “disciplined” to behave and “act like a future duke” so he thinks Cherie got it from someone else bc he doesn’t remember being that restless bc it’s like, he was forcing himself not to be or had to be “corrected” (i hate that word so much but it happens a lot with kids) when he would fidget or bounce around. so when he grew up, he lost that energetic side. could be selective memory bc of trauma or strict parents? i mean i’m not an expert so who knows. i mean it works with Cassie too but at least she was energetic to people she cared about. Percy seems so closed off and calm towards everyone even his children, and i feel like his upbringing has something to do with that. especially in a society where men being vulnerable is so looked down upon. what more to a future duke?
okay, i just––PERCY REMINISCING ABOUT BABY ELIAS AND HOW CHERIE IS THE SAME ABOUT SEEKING APPROVAL FROM THEIR PARENTS WHEN THEY’VE DONE SOMETHING GOOD AND JUST WANT THAT STICKER OR THE GOLD STAR. stop that was so…it just solidified how both of them are their parents’ children in anyway shape or form. but it hurts knowing how Percy never got to see baby Cherie do that or Cassie see baby Elias do that WHOEVER STARTED THAT RUMOR NEEDS TO GET TOSSED IN THE THAMES AND GET EATEN BY THE FISH THERE. anyways i’m just so sad that we never got to see them be a happy and complete family and it so painful to think that we neverwill bc everything is already too late and i’m just……Pain 2.0™️
hmm, i wonder what prompted Cherie not to tell the duke about Anthony’s proposal. could it be she senses how much he dislikes him and just doesn’t want to cause trouble? or she doesn’t want him to know howit happened a.k.a. in The Maze™️ Under The Rain™️ At Night™️ Unchaperoned™️ a.k.a. the perfect recipe to warrant a duel for both Percy AND Elias?? but she can leave the detail out tho. soooooo could it be a sense of trying to protect Anthony in a way bc she’s seeing how he’s changing for the better?? or it can be an unconscious thing that she doesn’t want Percy to think awful of him bc she cares about Anthony and she loves him?? all these questions i swear sksksks
“I mean I still know her better,” i still don’t quite agree with this tbh bc hmm, my point the other time still stands but another argument is that, you know how we act different towards our parents compared to our friends and how different we too act with our partners and vice versa to all? i mean it’s different for everyone of course and it depends how close you are with your parents but i feel like that’s a factor here. in Cassie’s case, she would act different to her lover/husband compared to how she would to her daughter in a way. with Percy, she can be more open, share her deepest and darkest thoughts/moments and how she perceives the world without filter or whatnot, problems, grievances, childhood trauma, etc. whereas with Cherie, she would hold back on those things to protect her in a way bc her daughter doesn’t need to know about those things. especially when she wanted Cherie to live a happy blissful life and make that possible as much as she could, and well, Cherie being so in love with love proves that. so Cassie wouldn’t complain to Cherie about things or dump her problems/trauma on her compared to with Percy. and i feel like you can truly know a person with how they deal with those things or what they’re thoughts are with deeper or darker conversations. like i said before, they both knew Cassie in different moments in time, not to mention, different version too, but that doesn’t mean one knows her better than the other.
my man has been hurting for 20+ years and he will continue to for the rest of his days. i feel like if he gets close to Cherie it will compensate some of that pain but still, it’s never quite the same. bc he might have gotten back his daughter again, but he still lost the love of his life……ugh Pain 3.0™️
“I was not wrong in telling you not to make my decisions for me, and I’m still behind it,” this i wholeheartedly agree with. she should be the one making decision for herself all throughout. bc it is her life and she should live it how she should.
omg…..the simple fact that neither him nor Cassie ever apologised whenever an argument would arise and they just move on without talking it out??? yeah….it was was bound to blow up at some point. they probably thought if they just…..forgot about it, it would just disappear. but the thing with that is, it never does. it just sits in the back of their heads and when another argument will arise, it will resurface thus building up that anger so with every argument it would just become bigger bc it just keeps piling and piling and sigh. i feel like when that rumor mill hit, the jar was close to full already and for something that big to happen, it’s not surprising for that jar to actually break. like it didn’t spill over, it genuinely exploded. i guess that’s another difference between Cassie & Percy and Anthony & Cherie and why the latter is turning out better bc, well, at least the younger couple are open to apologizing and being better and righting wrongs. they still need to work on the Communication Department™️ but they’re getting there.
hi yes hello, idk if i’m just extra emotional today but that scene of them under thee stars…my heart is ACHING™️ BREAKING ™️ HURTING™️ i just……and she was pregnant with baby Elias as well :((((( “And about the argument earlier—” // “Let’s not.” I JUST NOOOO. TALK. COMMUNICATION™️ !!! sigh. they’re being so cute and sweet tho and i can’t deal with this bc it’s in Italics™️ which solidifies that it’s the past and cannot happen again in the futureeeee AH PAIN 4.0™️ !!!!!
“They will be themselves without anyone sabotaging it, without anyone forcing them to grow an armor just to keep their hearts safe. They will be just…free.”and this is why Elias and Cherie share similarities with their parents, but never quite the same. just like how Anthony pointed out last chapter and how Percy is realising this now. but pls, them slightly joking around now makes my heart melt. i feel like they would get along so so so well and would have the sweetest bond and ugh. slow and steady. HELP PERCY FORGETTING HIS SISTER IS COMING TO LONDON WITH THEM SKSKSKSK it’s like he’s actively trying to ignore his big sister bc he knows she will just intentionally (affectionately) annoy him. he’s such a little brother omg.
“No,” she said. “No one at all.” she said, you know, like liar sksksks. “Especially not Lord Bridgerton.” …….Sure, Jan 2.0™️ let’s see how that goes now that we’re going back to London. but omg, i feel like the first day back in London will be absolute chaos as Percy so begrudgingly pointed out. i am hoping Anthony has learned his lesson of Self Control™️ quite well now and can like….be calm (i doubt it) and chill (i highly doubt it) when he’s around Cherie. bc i’m honestly so worried bc Cece won’t be there for a week to supervised sksksksk (tbh i was hoping for their honeymoon to be longer bc it’s what Celias deserves after dealing with this Shit Show™️ for five weeks and they need that break to rejuvenate and recharge before going back to deal with the Shit Show™️ again sksksks) but lord, idk if this Obsessed Harlot™️ can control himself for that long especially with all the suitors oh my goooooood the Jealousy, Jealousy™️ aaaah STAY STRONG ANTHONY FT. LAST REMAINING BRAINCELL FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY. KEEP THAT KNEE TIGHT AND DON’T BEND IT YET PUHLEASE
oh god this turned out longer than i expected. this was such a lovely yet heartbreaking extra scene but i loved it omg. i reallly enjoyed getting to see Percival’s perspective on things. he’s so complex and it just makes me more curios as to what happened between him and Cassie aah can’t wait for more!! amazing as always and i hope you’re having a lovely day!!
– TM Anon™️
Omg darliiiing hi! ❤❤
Yessss exactly! ❤ Their love story ended in tragedy and I think they burned very bright when they were together, they had so much passion and that was kind of their downfall💔
I think up until her death, Percy still thought someday somehow they would be together 💔
Oooh that’s a wonderful idea! 😱 Percy’s father was terrible, so he would probably not let him fidget or run around 💔
i mean it works with Cassie too but at least she was energetic to people she cared about. Percy seems so closed off and calm towards everyone even his children, and i feel like his upbringing has something to do with that. Absolutely! ❤ Both Cassie and Percy had different upbringings but their parents were horrible, and Percy was probably forced to always hide his feelings around people ❤
Elias and Cherie are so similar on some things, and seeking approval is one of them! ❤ I think Cassie saw it up to a point with Elias but Percy didn’t see it with Cherie up until now 💔
Anthony’s business proposal 😂
could it be a sense of trying to protect Anthony in a way bc she’s seeing how he’s changing for the better?? or it can be an unconscious thing that she doesn’t want Percy to think awful of him bc she cares about Anthony and she loves him??
I think it’s both! ❤ She doesn’t do it intentionally, but she still wants Percy to like Anthony or at least approve of him, and she can see how Anthony is changing for the better, and she is still very much in love with him❤
with Percy, she can be more open, share her deepest and darkest thoughts/moments and how she perceives the world without filter or whatnot, problems, grievances, childhood trauma, etc. whereas with Cherie, she would hold back on those things to protect her in a way bc her daughter doesn’t need to know about those things. especially when she wanted Cherie to live a happy blissful life and make that possible as much as she could, and well, Cherie being so in love with love proves that. DEFINITELY! 😱😍
Cassie made sure Cherie would never feel like her opinions didn’t matter, she made sure she never knew pain back in Paris❤ Cherie doesn’t know about Cassie’s time in London while Percy has no idea about Cassie’s time in Paris 💔
I don’t think Percy can ever be completely happy without Cassie to be honest 💔
i guess that’s another difference between Cassie & Percy and Anthony & Cherie and why the latter is turning out better bc, well, at least the younger couple are open to apologizing and being better and righting wrongs. they still need to work on the Communication Department™ but they’re getting there.
THIS! THIS!
I HAVE SO MANY IDEAS ABOUT THIS YES! 😱😍❤
So Cassie&Percy and Anthony&Cherie have a lot of parallels but just like you said, the latter is turning out better because of this! ❤  Both Cassie and Percy refused to apologize or talk about what was wrong, or what hurt them, because they were both raised to hide their hurt but Anthony and Cherie? Cherie is always very, very verbal about what hurts her, she actually says that to Anthony, and she never tried to hide what she felt, good or bad ❤ And Anthony is apologizing, he is trying to talk about what’s wrong, and from the beginning he was giving her explanations for what happened back at the opera, he is trying to build the bridges instead of acting like everything is alright ❤ Especially now, he’s following her lead while making sure things between them are getting better, that they can have an open communication for when she’s ready to talk about what happened with the proposal and everything else ❤
Percy and Cassie had terrible communication skills for sure 💔 That was one of the biggest problems they had 💔
this is why Elias and Cherie share similarities with their parents, but never quite the same. just like how Anthony pointed out last chapter and how Percy is realising this now.
Yesssss! Second generation has a lot of parallels to the first generation but they’re also learning how to fix their mistakes ❤
i am hoping Anthony has learned his lesson of Self Control™ quite well now and can like....be calm (i doubt it) and chill (i highly doubt it) when he's around Cherie This is hilarious omg 😂
Obsessed Harlot™ I AM SCREAMING-
Darling, I can’t thank you enough for this, you’re absolutely amazing! ❤❤ You’ve made my day, ILYSM! ❤❤❤

Happy STS! What kind of clothes do your characters wear? Do any of them not conform to the style of their society? Do we see any character's style change over the course of the story?
Happy ST…Friday from ~ the future ~ and thank you for the ask!
The styles my characters wear is definitely skewed by me growing up in the United States, and that's something I want to work on. But more generally, every character has a vibe or a specific thing they like/do and my sense of their wardrobe is built around that. Anni wearing mostly blue because it's her favorite color is an easy example, but Dez wears only jumpsuits and rompers because he doesn't really see the point of clothes and wants them to be as easy as possible. (He also likes looking cute but it definitely proceeded from "ugh clothes" to "eh actually this looks kind of nice".) Zel is inseparable from the beanie Anni got her, at least for the winter months. In the summer it's crop tops all the way, and whatever goes with those. For almost as long as he's been a character Zalen has worn high heeled boots, and as time has gone on his wardrobe design has gotten more flowy because that fits his personality better. Brandon's wardrobe is full of Ermotlift City Works shirts, and he wears them sometimes when he's not at work because they're comfy. And so on.
I keep societal expectations pretty open because I want my characters to wear whatever I feel like, lol. That and I don't want to write stories where part of the conflict is "you're dressing wrong for your gender". But there are people who commit to the bit so hard that they stand out a little - Anni again, but also Keearo because he wears makeup as an everyday thing, Zalen because he doesn't stop wearing some kind of heeled boot unless it's absolutely necessary, Milo because although he lives on a tropical island where his fellow tree people also don't wear much in the way of clothes, his top of choice is basically just a rope net made into a t-shirt. There are also species cultural differences that may seem weird at first glance. For example, tree and mushroom people tend to have much smaller wardrobes than members of nonrooted species, because they don't sweat or have many bodily fluids to contend with in general, and they usually don't consider something with literal dirt on it as dirty. The result is that Elbas Island is full of people who are cartoonishly almost always wearing the same thing and Dez fits right in. In some cases these cultural differences blend together because of social expectations. I'm thinking of Sal and Ozen and how they both wear mid-horn rings to signify that they're married. If they had been married in Sal's home country, they would probably wear decorated extended horn caps instead, as is more common in sha-nawwen culture. But because of the social and legal complexity/impossibility of marriages between species there, they both moved away and chose to wear mid-horn rings, which are more in line with orea-nawwen style and common among sha-nawwenn in any dual-species marriage, not just between the two species of nawwen.
I can only think of one person who really changes their style in the story itself: Syndy. Previously she was in her postal uniform 24/8 because she never left the post office, and even if she had other clothes, it would have been bad if anyone caught her in them. She also had (arguably oversaturated) red hair to fit the Navaren ideal the palace was going for. But after getting turned back on and finding herself in a world where the rules have completely changed (and where she's getting advice from a blue guy with purple hair), she gets a grey wig and starts cultivating what I think of as a 1950s-flavored silhouette, among other things. I feel like regardless of whether it happens in the story, style changes mostly happen because someone gets out of a shitty situation and wants a refresh to something more comfortable/honest.
