some personal venting sorry im really the struggler lately

god this year so far has been so brutal im just . so so tired. i barely get a few days where it seems things are more balanced only to immediately nosedive to even worse depths than before. really have been struggling a lot with 38 different mental health and identity situations in our household on top of stress at work on top of the news from the war on top of the constant threat to my familys safety in ukraine. just fucking. inbelievably bad again, after i regained some balance in 2023 now it feels just like 2022 is back with vengeance, but even then at least only i was the one struggling and i had some support and i found ways to recover. now theres just nothing to do other than wait and hope things will get better and more stable again but christ i dont think im built for this anymore, ive burnt out due to having to carry all this before and idk how deal with the pressure now. just having to keep going and hoping that something will let up at least a little bit. no time to relax or rest sorry too busy being flattened from three different directions

in good news though i finally tricked myself to stop clenching my jaw all night and day so at least no more pressure headaches. my nerves may be frayed but at least i can hopefully salvage my teeth OTL

im a full believer if Oliver waited he would’ve gotten Felix, a fucked up 2000s homoerotic “we’re not gay”way but nonetheless… I’ve thought about this for a while debating with myself wether their relationship would work and it would but in the most fucked way. however it works for them. they remind me ALOT of queer relationships or a queer persons crush on a close friend that both people are putting themselves out there for each other with obvious intentions for the other person but the other wont give in and make a clear move on them. it’s like a continuous cycle of lowkey flirting and comfortableness leaving both of them going “wtf are we”. cough from past experiences. Inbelieve Felix is the king of this tbh at least with Oliver. their whole relationship would be painfully drawn out and i still don’t know for how long but WHATEVER! (both Farliegh and Venetia clocked their asses and let the drama play out, it got to a point where they’d make comments like “get a room!” “just kiss already jfc.” but Felix brushes them off). while i believe Felix has to constantly prove his masculinity, to a certain extent(given the time period), he’s lazy and is relatively supportive, so with this he doesn’t think being gay is wrong however his actions towards Oliver are always subtle and would stay this way for a WHILE he would never willingly go up to another man or Oliver in this point in time and idk confess or kiss him directly in a way. it would have to be cheeky or in “this isn’t gay what r u talking about he’s just my best friend”. Oliver most likely would have to confess and get him to fess up his own feelings because Oliver was sick of Felix’s bs. But not because of homophobia, his whole family is queer in some way lets be real.. but in a weird repressed way of im self aware of this but im to much of a pussy to do anything about it because this is new and it takes actual work. throughout the movie we see how felix is careless with women and they just throw themselves at him because he’s hot so he would have to learn to not be sooo…yeah. But again he also does these cheeky things around oliver and it drives oliver fucking crazy, but given the time oliver indulges and probably gives the same energy back nothing lasts forever so oliver savors their fucked up game of gay chicken situationship version. eventually felix caves and puts in the work and isn’t shitty to Oliver but that’s for later…

Oliver’s basic love languages are probably words of affirmation and quality time but it obviously it deeper then that for him because he’s a little silly! he’ll take any time with Felix and cherish it deeply and probably being called negative things so much he probably likes being called smart, or the nickname Felix gave him or general praise that he’s given it lets him now his emotional significance to someone and he feels appreciated depending on who it’s from

Felix’s is also quality time and touch, honestly he enjoys all of them he’s an attention whore but mostly quality time, he’s always around his family no matter what and surrounds himself with people constantly even if it’s just him and a friend (Oliver) in his dorm. Felix is like a dog, they both are like dogs but in different ways. But Felix very much is always on someone, leaning on Oliver having his arm around him, laying across his sister and cousins lap on the couch, a quick man hug with his father he loves it all pats on the back literally you name it, and this is also implied? shown? in the film he’s constantly all over Oliver and his family it just makes sense.

Oliver love’s Felix he’s obsessed with him we know this, but he’s fixated on his hands when they are near each other he would always find a way to be holding onto his hand and felix would play into this he also knows it's a comfort thing for Oliver (it wasn’t at first Oliver was testing the waters because Felix’s always touched him?? if they’re so comfortable he can be bold and touch Felix back, in relaxed comfortable close contact situations ofc) if he's busy he'll place one of his hands near oliver so oliver still finds a way to be touching felix even if he doesn't have his full attention and oliver absolutely loves messing with his hands, like tracing them and running his own hands along them messing with a ring or two or the millions of bracelets he stacks on each wrists...this would happen while watching movies, when they’re alone together messing around drunk or bored or lounging out in the courtyards of saltburn.

Felix however is more visual and this comes as a surprise because it seems like the opposite for both people, Felix is always in someones personal space while Oliver will yearn and give longing stares. but hey, they both do it and im expanding on what wasn’t shown in the movie so shhh. Felix likes seeing the way oliver reacts simply from his looks because he’s too caught up in the moment to see reactions when he’s all over him. Felix is secretly obsessed with finding micro expressions through how Oliver reacts when he’s caught staring or is thrown a holy shit look at them judgmental look. it might be because of how entrancing Oliver’s eyes are and he’s weak to them but that’s a secret.. This compares to Oliver when he just yearns when looking, he’s also extremely observant so he’s seen everything he puts his mind to however this is something Felix subconsciously did once and then put effort into ever since..

they both love partying together, Oliver had to warm up to it but when he can ignore everyone else and just be in Felix’s attention he glows. they both would dress so slutty (for the girls attention.. totally, like how men paint their nails or whatever for the written by a woman bs on tiktok currently) they would definitely dance together the whole time when given the chance during the beginning of their friendship Oliver stayed behind snd sulked because he had to watch Felix socialize but after a while into their friendship and a few drinks Oliver will loosen up and mostly join Felix before some girl can (hashtag boywin). because it's felix's thing he would make it a point to bring oliver to all of his favorite clubs and introduce him to to raves (thanks to Venetia’s help). he would teach oliver everything he needs to know and open him up to a whole new world of psychedelics and possibilities out of pure enjoyment for the both of them. until oliver starts to love going out partying with felix weekly, like it's their own special thing. because they both love the adrenaline it gives them and being able to do it together. taking a tab of acid or smoking some weed. Felix and Farleigh taught Oliver how to smoke properly.. he probably got made fun of for coughing to much when he tried to toughen it out (by farls). they definitely did bodyshots at one point when they were absolutely GONE (for the girl’s attention ofc..) and shotgunning or lightning cigarettes by joining the butts together was also a reoccurring thing. occasional private smoke seshes and in public with a needed smoke break…
