the universal bl drama fandom experience of making a post about a crazy gay thing some characters did only for several unsuspecting souls on a completely different corner of tumblr* to assume this is one of those "imagine your ship" posts and start reblogging it with tags like #i want a fic of this sooooo bad! or #omg this is sooooo [insert ship name** here]... like i truly love that for you but this is not a hypothetical. i literally watched two men do that last week on my tv screen. this is not a fanfic prompt. we have insane gay ppl here.
*western media fandom, usually
**i swear it's always either house md, hockey fandom, or those 911 guys who just became canon bisexual (good for them)

PLEASE STOP COPYING FICS ‼️
I am by no means gatekeeping concepts or tropes. We all know that it’s normal to see the same tropes or AUs be used differently, and that is not plagiarism. However, I recently found a fic that was oddly similar to my old (and discontinued) Gojo x Reader series, Reckless. The CEO! Gojo is nothing new, and neither is an accidental pregnancy trope. The only reason I am concerned is because this Gojo series I found has the exact same themes as Reckless that consists of: a playboy CEO Gojo with a very notorious reputation, a poor reader who is an employee and asset to the company (someone who works closely with Gojo), reader getting knocked up from a one night stand with Gojo, reader with a seemingly dead/absent mother yet still in contact with her father, Gojo with a very traditional family who does not like reader, and Gojo with an ex he struggles to let go of - which are all elements of Reckless.
The first chapter of that Gojo fic is also eerily similar to my first chapter with the same flow of: YN finding out she’s pregnant and her friend being there for her, Gojo saying he’ll take responsibility because ‘they both made the baby’, YN having to move in with Gojo to take care of the baby, and both of them coming to a mutual agreement that their ‘relationship’ will be purely for the baby’s benefit. The flow of events and specific details about the characters’ backgrounds are too similar to mine.
Again, I am not gatekeeping concepts, just as how I’ve had other writers ask me if they could write their own stories or takes based off of the NAOYA’S TROPHY WIFE COLLECTION or the BONTEN HUSBANDS EXCLUSIVE, and I’m fine with that. I’m even happy people are inspired by what I write. But being inspired is completely different from taking someone’s story and posting it as yours. Please trust your own creativity and skills in writing. You can write amazing stories and have people love them without having to steal from others.
It’s sad to say this is not the first time I, and other writers, have been plagiarized. It’s even more upsetting to know that a friend of mine who has also written a Gojo series (that I’m sure you all know and dearly love) experiences the same issues with the same person. The fact that this is happening to many writers out there is disheartening. We work hard and pour a lot of love in the stories we create. None of us are getting paid for this, and we simply want to share our passions with others. So please, let us be kinder with one another and show love and support the right way. If you love a fic, you give feedback and rb/comment + show support to the writer. You don’t steal their ideas and play it off as your own because you liked it.

So I was struck with inspiration recently for a regency era historical romance raritwi thing lol, and I made "dolls" of the two (idk what else to call them, they're bases that imma dress up lol) to dress up in regency era outfits. Yeah. The wings are on a seperate layer so I can put them on the outside of the dresses and all that. I'm so excited honestly. I'm still working on my other stuff (art requests and my infection au) but I just had to yk, I just had to. (Also if you want you can send me asks about this au because I really wanna draw more of it)

year of art - 2023
This was a year of big challenges! Finishing my WIPs, artfight, half of whumptober, and winning nanowrimo. I posted less, but I feel like the quality improved with some active study in paint techniques and composition. I'm cheating on the wheel by using my realism art for the last two but I didn't finish any of my fanart projects in either month...
I don't actually know what to resolve for 2024! ( ̄▽ ̄*)ゞ There's still a million things I need to improve, of course, especially complex compositions. I think I'd also like to go back to simpler pieces, like doodles and plain character shots. That's very contradictory~ I'll just make up goals as they come.
As always, thank you to everyone for your likes and reblogs and lovely comments. I really treasure them. ^^ Have a great new year~!

🫡💗🎉🕊️
Let’s live it up y’all I got some canon/OC and canon/canon pairings for a slew of fandoms I’m looking for, as well as some non fandom plots! All M/F pairings.
Here’s my general info: 26, she/her, multiple responses a week, but I can’t ever promise daily. Sometimes it happens though SOMETIMES. Real life comes first and I have jobs and blah blah blah. I prefer discord, multi para, past tense, 3rd person format.
I love smut, love dark themes, I love intensity, drama, romance, all of it baby. My limits are few but most be respected, and I’ll do the same for you.
20 and up please, I don’t care about your IRL gender, as long as you play a male against my female! All characters over 18 as well, please.
Okay, starting with fandoms:
SUCCESSION: Looking for a Kendall Roy (or Roman Roy, or Matteson, or Stewy) against my starving artist/anti-Waystar female OC, for a Romeo and Juliet inspired RP, info available on request. I’m BEGGING for this one. (happy to double up as Shiv in a pairing for you).
HANNIBAL: looking for a Hannibal Lecter AND/OR Will Graham, or Dolarhyde or Male OC against my updated/Fullerverse Clarice Starling (FC: Holliday Grainger), full google doc avail on request!
STRANGER THINGS: Looking for an Eddie, Billy or Steve against my female OC, info available on request.
FALLOUT: Looking for a Nick Valentine or MacCready against my Sole Survivor or female OC. Also open to hearing about your male OCs!
THE BEAR: Looking for a Carmy against my female OC, info available on request.
MARVEL: Looking for a Loki to my Sigyn, AUs and mischief are all welcome!
AND NOW FOR NON FANDOM PLOT WANTS:
PIRATES: give me a plot of a girl encountering a pirate (kidnapping? Friends from youth? Figured out some kind of mutually beneficial situation/deal?) and their unexpected relationship.
PHANTOM OF THE OPERA: Inspired by the book and musical, a theatre "ghost" is enchanted with a young new muse - actress, singer, whatever. Could be fun to do this in the traditional time period, or try something in like.. the Italian Renaissance, or 1910s-20s burlesque.
CULT: any time period at all, but give me a cult leader lead to obsession by one of his brand new young members, making her the object of his affection and a prize to be won/toy to be played with.
Also interested in anything along the lines of WILD WEST, TITANIC, WWI/WWII, or ANYTHING HISTORICAL with a romance focus! Be that noir, fantasy, paranormal, some 90s rom-com vibes, whatever. Just… not of this current time period, lol
You got any ideas that go along these general lines? I’d absolutely love to hear them.
Go ahead and like this and I’ll reach out! I’m HUNGRY y’all, come play!!

How did you come to find your art style? I've followed you for a while and adore your art 💕💕💕
Thanks for liking my work!
And as for "style," idk, I never really tried to find a "style"? Idk how long a "while" is, but if you've followed me for years, you've probably seen me go through multiple fandoms. My art has changed and grown, I've gone from not being able to do lineart to working so hard to be able to do clean lineart, I can't really NOT do lineart anymore? I went from doing flat color/generic lighting, to thinking gee that's boring everything I draw looks the same, and now i often do more dramatic lighting on most things I draw? ^ ^; Every art I draw, I try to draw what I like, try to improve parts I don't like, and slowly it shifts. Sometimes I go back to doing things I left but decided I actually like after all. I constantly vary how painted/flat I want my colors to be.
So yeah, idk if I really have a "style," what you see is just the accumulation of that constant ongoing exploration! I like to think I'm a wee bit more consistent about some things now, at least compared to before, because I pick at it less if I'm happy with what I've drawn. But it's still constantly evolving!

Reading the US Arbitration for the San Juan Island Dispute right now, and in their opening the U.S. rep has referred to the U.S. as “the heir of Spain”. I’m about 85 pages in and it’s come up two times. This was written in 1869-70(ish).
The reason the lawyers are bringing it up now is basically to say “We should be allowed to have everything Spain used to own above the 42nd, since Spain’s empire is basically dead and we’re not, and that would include ALL of Oregon, so you see your Highness, German Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm I (he was the judge), it was actually very generous of us to offer up the 49th parallel as the border and give Britain all that land they had no right to and despite all that now they’re being dicks about who gets the San Juan Islands which is pretty lame of them tbh”
It’s just a fascinating detail to me because it’s sooo different from the way we think of the U.S. empire now. I see the word “heir” used a lot for Alfred in the fandom, but always in reference to Arthur and the British Empire. Now, that makes a lot of sense to me. The first 13 colonies were British. English is still the majority language in the US. America really took off as a global superpower right as the British empire was collapsing. As an American, I have never once seen someone call Alfred “Arthur’s heir” and thought “wait, but where’s Spain in all this?”
The people who wrote this document probably never imagined the British Empire could collapse, or that having an empire wouldn’t always require physical possession of the actual land.

i think its natural to feel sad when bad things happen to characters you like and take joy when they beat their villains that have been causing them all their problems
but the fact that none of these people are real is important context, and carrying these emotions onto people off the page is not advisable.
getting mad at the author for creating the situation is a very different kind of criticism than getting mad at the character, and getting mad at fellow fans of the series for having a different opinion on the character than you is somewhat ridiculous to me.
Please don't attack and hate real people for fictional actions.
