Man, I'd love to find a way to actually insert artwork of myself as the installation wizard into Windows 95's wizard system. That'd be cool, but for now this mock-up artwork will suffice.

sure yeah the mianite server is pretty self sufficient when it comes to things like food and resources but after like a month of tom and tucker very diligently (and very stubbornly) holding that this is a survival server, you work with what you have and we will NOT rely on outside sources for even the most basic of things, jordan walks up to them and gently puts one hand on each of their shoulders and goes "hey. i respect your dedication to running this shit like we're back in the middle ages. seriously i do. but for the love of ianite me and sonja have been trying to reverse engineer soap for like two weeks now and we're losing our fucking minds and it turns out that life really fucking sucks when you're intentionally depriving yourself of several things necessary to living like a reliable source of clean water and lysol all for the goddamn bit."

after a full server meeting, four days of shouting, and dec all but threatening to get both of the gods involved to settle it for ("good fucking luck with that, they haven't been listening to any of us either," sonja mutters under her breath), tom whispers something in tucker's ear and with an exhausted sigh he finally declares that fine. We can all go to Walmart and Home Depot once a week for stuff like cleaning supplies and machine-made parts that it would be a fucking nightmare to make by hand here.

everyone cheers (except for tucker) and runs off to make lists of things that they Absolutely Need To Survive.

(it takes another five hours for tucker to review those lists and tell sonja that no, she cannot get oatmeal créme pies, those are not a basic necessity for human survival. there is another huge debate over what exactly constitutes as necessary for survival. jordan indignantly pulls up the wikipedia page on the requirements for life on his phone and thats when dec finally force kicks them all off of the server to just get their fucking shopping done.)

when all's said and done they end up spending well over two thousand dollars on everything BUT it was worth it and while tucker still might not exactly be happy that it happened, in the end he did get a nice set of woodworking tools for himself and with that, the Grocery Saga is all neatly wrapped up and over

(well, at least until the wizards show up anyways.)

It would just be so easy for Steel to start behaving overtly controlling and War-minded at literally any point (seeking control and owning up to what that means) and at that point it would become easy to dislike her and her sway over Suvi but that's not the POINT, she is GENUINELY wise and so, so brilliant and she loves Suvi so truly and she is infuriatingly level headed and sincere in her efforts to help and so very kind, and I love her character more than I can adequately put into words and the inevitable clash of ideals, the rift that will and must develop, is going to destroy me. Because I genuinely don't know if Steel could choose Suvi over the empire and in fact I think it's pretty clear that she wouldn't, but that does not diminish the love she has for Suvi and the two things being true simultaneously have me biting the air. Steel is a goddamn masterclass in examining characters who act from fundamentally kind intent within a twisted framework of lifelong indoctrination and beliefs that have taught her a distorted view of what that should look like. Bringing the empire's light to the world is the ultimate kindness to her, and she wants nothing more than to be a key part of the mechanism by which that will happen. Because it will happen. And we're not told this, we're shown a brilliant and devoted mother figure who will stop at nothing to make a better world in the image of the empire her life belongs to.

Every single time something goes wrong with Ame and/or Eursulon (and even Suvi) I brace for the kind of overbearing "us VS them" mentality that never comes. She genuinely wants collaboration and answers so she can help. she very much means well, as do they all. It compels the absolute hell out of me.

Keyleth mentioned that tensions are on the rise within the Dwendalian empire what with the king on his way out and the Cerberus Assembly running around unchecked especially with Ludinus as its head and while I would love for the Cerberus Assembly to be completely abolished or prevented from ever rising back to the height of its current political power after this whole Predathos incident I also hope the empire doesn’t tear itself apart from the inside.

The empire has just barely gotten out of war with the Kryn Dynasty and now it may just fall into civil war and I could give less than a shit about king Dwendal and all the bureaucracy and shit but the people still need to heal from the War of Ash and Light because that ended only seven years ago (836 PD) give or take and that’s hardly anytime at all to rebuild their lives because the ruling body of their nation have neglected their safety for arcane power and knowledge

In 2015, I purchased Clip Studio Paint on sale. It was a digital purchase and had two licenses (installs).

In 2021, the laptop on which it was installed finally died and I assumed I'd never get it back.

Now, in 2024, someone reminded me that I should still have the email with the original information, and I did! I went on a quest to find where to download it again and how to re-access it but -- I cannot stress this enough -- my 30-digit serial number (which is not how they offer you access now) still works.

So I have Clip Studio Paint again.

All other software companies should take notes. This is how you support your customers.
